Seth Lugo under 2.5 earned runs prop backed vs White Sox in MLB today

Published

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Last year was my worst year of baseball plays for OutKick. It wasn’t terrible by any stretch, but I never really found a footing, and I never went on a hot streak. I feel like I’m in the middle of a hot stretch or maybe at the start of one as I’ve hit five non-player prop plays in a row, and seven of my last eight plays. Baseball is typically my most profitable sport, so I hope we get our bankroll loaded this year.

The Kansas City Royals have been a bit of a disappointment this season. They are just 19-23 for the year and have lost twice as many road games as they’ve won, a 6-13 mark.

Overall, the team seems to be struggling to score. They are 22nd in the league in runs scored, averaging 4.1 runs per game. It isn’t terrible by any stretch. Their batting average isn’t terrible; they are ranked 15th in the league, which is right in the middle.

Their pitching hasn’t been great, but one guy who has been fairly reliable is Seth Lugo. If you’ve read my posts in the past, you know I’ve made a ton of money on Lugo starts. He is 1-2 for the season with a 3.21 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. He has made eight starts this season, and two of them were poor. One was against the Los Angeles Angels, where he allowed seven earned runs over 6.1 innings. In his last outing, he allowed four runs on seven hits over four innings.

This will be the second time he has faced the Chicago White Sox this season. In the first outing, he went 6.1 innings and allowed two runs, one earned. He hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs in a game against the White Sox in 41.1 innings of his career.

The Chicago White Sox are an early-season surprise. I live in Chicago, and I don’t think most of the fans or residents here thought they would be this good. Good, I suppose, is a relative term in this situation. They are under .500 entering today’s game at 20-21, but they do have a winning record at home at 10-9. Their offseason signing, Munetaka Murakami, has been a very good power hitter with 15 homers already this year. The team is only hitting .231 for the year, though, so there should be reason to be pessimistic about the team’s future.

Wednesday’s starter for the White Sox is Noah Schultz. His numbers aren’t great at 2-2 with a 4.68 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. However, not all of his starts have been bad. He has only made two home starts, going 10.1 innings and allowing five earned runs. I do have some concerns about his mechanics as he has already walked 16 guys in 25 innings. He is also a fly-ball pitcher, which is not ideal in Chicago, where wind can be a major factor. He has never faced the Royals.

I bet on the Royals last time Lugo took the mound against them. They lost the game 2-0. I’m running it back here as I’m not impressed with Schultz. Plus, this would give the White Sox a sweep and as bad as the Royals have been, I can’t see them allowing themselves to get swept. Give me the Royals at a very reasonable price of -120.

Additionally, I’m taking the Lugo prop that keeps on giving – under 2.5 earned runs allowed. It is -118, and he has been so good against the White Sox in the past. I’ll back Lugo once again and hope we can get a 2-0 win for the Royals tonight.

Hearts v Falkirk LIVE: Scottish Premiership latest score and updates as history on the line and Celtic bid to take title race to final day

Published

‘The eyes of the world are watching’

The Hearts stadium announcer takes the opportunity, while he can, to remind supporters that under “no circumstances” should fans enter the pitch at any point this evening. Many situations are at play, of course, including Hearts winning the league tonight…

What do Hearts need to win the league?

After a thrilling title race full of twists or turns, it could all come down to tonight.

If Hearts beat Falkirk at home and Celtic lose away to Motherwell, Hearts will be champions with one game to spare.

Both games kick-off at the same time (8pm BST), so any goals at Tynecastle or Fir Park will filter through to the other team.

Celtic can guarantee the title goes down to the final day as long as they avoid defeat at Motherwell.

Torrential downpour can’t dampen excitement

The pre-match plans of many Hearts supporters have been spoiled by a torrential downpour in Edinburgh, leaving many ducking into the crowded pubs on Gorgie Road for cover. Not that many needed an excuse.

Derek McInnes ‘assuming’ Celtic win tonight to take title race to wire

Hearts boss Derek McInnes said he was “assuming” that Celtic would beat Motherwell tonight to take the title race down to the final day, where Hearts play Celtic on Saturday.

“I’ve had it in my head that we’re going to the last game and I’m prepared for that,” McInnes said. “Listen, there’s no easy games for anybody, nothing’s straightforward.

“Motherwell are a more than capable team, as we saw the other night. They were fully committed against us and I’m sure that’ll be the same again against Celtic.”

Celtic boss Martin O’Neill feeling familiar title race ‘anxiety’

Martin O’Neill saw title races against Rangers go down to the wire during his first spell with Celtic, including a final day shootout in 2005, and the Northern Irishman said he was experiencing some familiar feelings now as the 74-year-old bids to win a fourth league title.

“The anxiety wouldn’t be that much different,” O’Neill said when asked about his first spell in charge more than two decades ago. “And it’s good that I feel this way, because I’ve always felt that.

“I felt this is a player, although the thing I always felt as a player is, you could do something about it. I’ve always felt the same as a manager and then you’re depending on players for your living after that.

“And so the same sort of nervousness, the same sort of excitement, all those type of things still exist with me even at my age.”

And what about Falkirk? Can they spoil the party?

Falkirk have punched well about their weight under John McGlynn this season but have lost two of their three games following the split and their slim hopes of finishing fifth this season and qualifying for Europe now rest on beating Hearts and Rangers in their last two.

“Mathematically it’s not done yet so we just need to go and give a good account of ourselves on Wednesday,” Falkirk forward Calvin Miller said. “I’m sure Tynecastle will be electric considering what they are going for so we really need to roll the sleeves up and get a big performance from ourselves.”

Hope for Hearts? Celtic face a tough test at Motherwell

After their 1-1 draw at Fir Park on Saturday, Hearts need no reminding that Motherwell have been a tough test for any side this season under Jens Berthel Askou.

Motherwell could secure European football with a win tonight, and have beaten Celtic and Rangers this term while drawing against Hearts three times.

“It’s something that has helped us, especially at Ibrox last time, also against Hearts the other day,” Askou said when asked about playing the big teams.

“I am confident that it will also give us an advantage that we have practised that again and again and again when we played the big teams, to really try to be ourselves all the way through.

“I trust the players that they will be able to show their best side, not only technically and physically but also mentally.”

Netflix is finalizing a deal to stream the NFL Honors ceremony in 2027, Front Office Sports reported.

The league’s annual awards event takes place during Super Bowl week and traditionally has aired on NFL Network as well as each year’s Super Bowl rights partner.

Netflix is reportedly “likely” become the ceremony’s exclusive broadcast partner following a ratings report estimate of 3.7 million viewers for the February 2026 primetime broadcast on NBC.

Spokespersons for Netflix and the NFL did not comment on the report.

Netflix continues to expand its relationship with the league. After airing Christmas Day doubleheaders in each of the past two seasons, multiple reports have said the streaming giant has acquired three additional NFL games during the 2026 season.

“I am truly sorry” – Ex-WWE star shares heartbreaking update

Published

on

WWE Superstars have found success in the industry before and after they’ve ended their ties with the Stamford-based promotion. Recently, a female star shared a heartbreaking update, as she’s been forced to take time off from wrestling.

In 2023, Sareee parted ways with the Stamford-based promotion and returned to Japan. The 30-year-old ex-WWE star is thriving in the wrestling scene outside the United States, but tragedy struck, and she’s forced to miss time inside the squared circle.

It was recently announced, following Sareee’s recent match in Japan, that she’s forced to take time off from in-ring competition. Later, Sareee tweeted on X and provided an update regarding her ongoing neck issues. The 30-year-old star apologized to the fans that she won’t be able to compete for approximately a month.

Sareee made the decision based on the doctor’s advice and decided to take the time off, as she doesn’t want to risk her career. She asked the audience to understand her situation and promised to return so she could continue her in-ring journey.

“As announced, I will be taking approximately one month off for neck maintenance. Having to miss matches that were already scheduled, I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and worry this causes to all the fans and organizations involved. Honestly, it was a decision that took a lot of courage. But I was more afraid of not being able to step into the ring anymore. I made this decision so that I can continue fighting as a professional wrestler from here on out! Please give me just a little time!!” Sareee tweeted on X.

Sareee on her past WWE run

From 2020 to 2023, Sareee was a staple on the developmental brand under Shawn Michaels’ creative leadership. While she started strong on the brand due to her Joshi background, she eventually got a character, which didn’t click with the audience.

She portrayed a schoolgirl gimmick and was part of Chase U for a while, which led her nowhere in her career. In an interview with Tokyo Sports, the 30-year-old star expressed her frustration working in WWE with a poor gimmick. Sareee wasn’t a fan of the gimmick, but went with it as there were fewer opportunities at the time.

Moreover, the gimmick didn’t align with the intention she had for herself as a performer in the company. After months of absence, she parted ways with WWE in 2023 and hasn’t appeared for the company in any capacity.
