Undefeated KO artist says he’ll be the first to stop Dmitry Bivol: “My power is too much”

Published

on

Unified light-heavyweight world champion Dmitry Bivol is regarded as the very best at 175lbs, but there is a new player in the division who believes that he can be the first to knock the slick Russian out.

Bivol became the first fighter to take Artur Beterbiev the distance when the pair collided for the undisputed title back in October 2024, but it was Beterbiev who claimed a majority-decision win and made history by becoming the first undisputed light-heavyweight ruler of the four-belt era.

However, just four months later, Bivol became the second, as he avenged his solitary career defeat with a majority-decision triumph of his own before vacating the WBC belt – which subsequently fell into the hands of David Benavidez.

Now, after Bivol returned to action with a points win over Michael Eifert, it seems as though a trilogy showdown with Beterbiev is finally on the horizon, but the Russian-Canadian puncher is not the only knockout artist hoping to hand Bivol a first stoppage defeat.

Speaking to TalkSPORT Boxing, after a first-minute knockout of Sean Hemphill, Dutch light-heavyweight Gradus Kraus admitted that he cannot wait to face the likes of Bivol and knock them out.

“I want to make rounds, but you see I am too good for these guys and I know that I am the best in the world, I will be a future world champion.

“I can’t wait to step up in the ring against [guys] like Bivol and then I will show the world that I also knock them out because my power is too much.”

Boxing News understands that Kraus, who now has 11 knockouts from 12 wins, will return to action in October, with former Bivol opponent Craig Richards amongst the names being considered as a potential opponent.

Meanwhile, the unified champion has been ordered to face WBO mandatory challenger Callum Smith, though he may instead vacate the belt to make the third fight with Beterbiev.

2026 Preseason Big 12 Football Previews and Projections

Published

on

  By Dane Miller, SuperWest Sports

The Big 12 doesn’t get respect on the national stage.

Primary Big 12 logo smallIn some ways, it’s deserved. Last year, Texas Tech’s ugly Playoff performance against Oregon damaged the league’s reputation.

But the national narrative misses what makes the league different: its competitiveness. Every game is a battle, and the margins are razor thin.

There’s a Playoff spot up for grabs and every season is wide open. A program can quickly rise or fall over a short span of years.

Here’s my preview for the 2026 Big 12 Season.

Projected Conference Champion, Runner-Up, and Contenders

BYU Cougars logo

Champion: BYU

Bear Bachmeier enters his sophomore year after leading BYU to 12 wins as a true freshman.

The Cougars are 15-3 in conference games over the last two seasons and are 23-4 overall. Translation: Kalani Sitake is cooking. The combination of the NIL era and the transition out of independence has supercharged the program.

Now, BYU is a powerhouse in the Big 12. Bachmeier’s development should be the catalyst that pushes the Cougars to the Playoff in 2026.

Texas Tech logo

Runner Up: Texas Tech

The Brendan Sorsby situation has been a disaster for Texas Tech. Not only did they lose their expected starting quarterback, but the entire college football world has collectively turned against them.

Nobody was brought in as a late replacement, leaving a significant question at the quarterback position. Will Hammond might be the answer. But his injury history and lack of experience are concerning.

Still, the rest of the roster should be elite. There’s nobody that can pay the way Texas Tech does. Money talks. And builds a strong roster.

Houston Cougars logo

Contender: Houston

The Cougars won 10 games last year in Willie Fritz’s second season. And starting quarterback Conner Weigman is back. But nobody is talking about Houston.

The program was a dumpster fire before Fritz took over. It only took two seasons to get to double-digit wins. Imagine what Year Three will bring.

Before coming to Houston, he led Tulane to 12 wins in 2022 and 11 in 2023. The guy just wins games. Look for Houston to compete for a Big 12 Championship this season.

Utah Utes logo

Contender: Utah
Devon Dampier

Morgan Scalley takes over as head coach after waiting in the wings for years. Since 2016, Scalley had been Utah’s defensive coordinator and helped shape the identity of the program.

Now, he’s the lead man and returns star quarterback Devon Dampier. Named the 2025 Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year, Dampier led the Utes to 11 wins last season.

The transition from Kyle Whittingham wasn’t exactly clean-cut. But it’s water under the bridge. The expectations around Utah are real. The new era begins.

Arizona football logo

Contender: Arizona
Noah Fifita

Noah Fifita enters his redshirt senior season with momentum. The Wildcats won nine games last year and return coordinators on both sides of the ball. Wide receiver Tre Spivey is set for a productive year and could emerge as a star.

But there are questions on defense. The secondary lost several key players that must be replaced. Brent Brennan did his part by keeping defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales on the staff.

If contributors step up in the defensive backfield, Arizona could be competitive in the Big 12 title race.

The Rest of the Big 12

ASU Sun Devis logo

Arizona State
Kenny Dillingham
Kenny Dillingham | Joe Rondone/The Republic

Kenny Dillingham hit the portal hard over the offseason. Arizona State’s transfer class is ranked No. 22 nationally, per 247Sports. But all eyes are on the quarterback.

Sam Leavitt left for LSU, and Dillingham brought in two transfers. Cutter Boley started 11 games for Kentucky and compiled a 4-7 record. Mikey Keene has 35 starts to his name after spending two years at UCF and two years at Fresno State.

Getting the quarterback battle resolved early in the season will be crucial. Because if the questions at quarterback are answered, ASU has the roster to be competitive in every Big 12 game it plays this year.

Baylor Bears logo

Baylor

Three. That’s the number of losing seasons Baylor has over the last four years. The program was once considered a power in the Big 12. One of the original founding members, the Bears have six 10-win seasons or better since 2011.

But expansion has put the program on the back foot. BU is 11-16 in conference games since the league started adding teams in 2023. This year, Florida transfer quarterback DJ Lagway was brought in to take over for the departing Sawyer Robertson.

His addition makes Baylor a dark horse in the Big 12. But with so many up-and-down years recently, there’s not much buzz around the Bears.

UCF Knights logo

Central Florida

Scott Frost went 5-7 in his first year back in Orlando. It was an improvement over Guz Malzahn’s final four-win season. But Central Florida’s lack of growth in the Big 12 is concerning.

The program was a power in the American and has completely fallen off since joining in 2023. With three-straight losing seasons, it’s time for some progress to become apparent. Otherwise, UCF may be destined to be a perennial bottom dweller in the Big 12.

Fortunately, Frost knows how to get the job done there. There’s cautious optimism heading into the year. Anything less than a six-win season would be a failure.

cincinnati espn

Cincinnati

Forget the Brendan Sorsby noise. Cincinnati is on the rise. Scott Satterfield has improved the program each year since taking over in 2023.

The Bearcats had three wins that year, five in 2024, and seven last season. It’s a steady progression that’s been building up. But replacing a player like Sorsby won’t be easy.

Satterfield must not have a large enough war chest, either, because no splash transfer was brought in. The rest of the roster should be strong, though. Keep an eye on UC.

Colorado Buffaloes logo

Colorado
Julian Lewis
Julian Lewis | Colorado Athletics

The hype around Colorado has faded. The three wins last season were the fewest of Deion Sanders’ coaching career. But star offensive coordinator Brennan Marion was brought in to revamp the offense.

The former head coach of Sacramento State, Marion’s innovative system should result in a higher-scoring CU offense. Sophomore quarterback Julian Lewis figures to thrive within the scheme.

But there are questions on defense and the general trajectory of the program doesn’t inspire confidence. As far as preseason expectations go, there are none for Colorado.

Iowa State Cyclones logo

Iowa State

Left to pick up the pieces after Matt Campbell left for Penn State, the Iowa State administration may have made a home run hire. Jimmy Rogers had great success at the FCS level, leading North Dakota State to a national championship in 2023.

Last year, Rogers patched together a roster on short notice, implemented his system, and led Washington State to a 6-6 record while playing an independent schedule.

The Cyclones might not have immediate success in Year One. But the future is bright in Ames with Rogers leading the program.

Kansas

Kansas

After back-to-back five-win seasons, Kansas is in rebuild mode. Star quarterback Jalon Daniels ran out of eligibility, and KU has lost its identity.

Without Daniels in the mix, the Jayhawks might be near the bottom of the Big 12. But new stars could emerge, and the team may establish a new identity. If that happens, a bowl appearance is achievable.

It’s a critical year for Lance Leipold. Another underwhelming season would test the patience of the fanbase.

Kansas State Wildcats logo

Kansas State

Collin Klein enters his first year as a head coach at the age of 36. He previously served as the offensive coordinator for Kansas State during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Most recently, Klein was the offensive coordinator for Texas A&M.

There are many unknowns around KSU, and expectations are non-existent. It’s a foundational year, though, and one that could set the tone for seasons to come.

Avery Johnson is a dangerous quarterback, if utilized correctly. Klein may have the skill to optimize Johnson’s talent and Kansas State’s season.

espn oklahoma state

Oklahoma State

The Cowboys were at rock bottom last season. Legendary coach Mike Gundy was let go, and Eric Morris was brought in from North Texas. Now, there is renewed hope.

Quarterback Drew Mastemaker threw 34 touchdowns for the Mean Green in 2025 and then followed his coach to Stillwater. OSU’s success could rise and fall based on Mastemaker’s performance.

From the conference-wide perspective, the Big 12 needs Ok State to get its program together. The Pokes were supposed to be the league’s marquee football brand after Texas and Oklahoma left. Instead, it’s been several years of irrelevancy.

This season is pivotal for Morris to begin the rebuild.

TCU Horned Frogs logo

TCU

Sonny Dykes lost Josh Hoover to the portal over the offseason. The departure was a significant blow to TCU’s program.

Left to find a replacement, Dykes reeled in Harvard transfer Jaden Craig. The addition didn’t make any waves and limits the expectations for the Horned Frogs’ season. It could be a disappointing year and show how important Hoover was to the team.

Yet, the Big 12 is wide open. Perhaps Craig hits the ground running and makes TCU competitive. In that sense, the Horned Frogs are a bit of a wildcard.

west virginia espn

West Virginia

Rich Rodriguez enters Year Two of his return to Morgantown. With a full season to teach his system, a bowl appearance in 2026 is a reasonable expectation.

When executed correctly, Rodriguez’s offense is borderline unstoppable. But depth is required, and the quarterback makes or breaks the season. This year, Rodriguez has options with Oklahoma transfer Michael Hawkins Jr. and sophomore Scotty Fox Jr.

Executing the right reads will be critical all season long. If Hawkins can’t get it going, look for Fox to get an opportunity to steal the starting job.

Raiders must head topside to specific maps and uncover loot from specific points of interest. This week’s activities include a few recurring challenges alongside a few newer ones.

This article sheds light on the best ways to obtain three stars in Season 5 Week 6 of ARC Raiders Trials.

ARC Raiders Trials Season 5 Week 6 (August 11 – 18, 2026): How to get 3 stars in every challenge

Let us take a look at all the challenges players must complete this week in ARC Raiders Trials:

  • Search ARC Probes, Couriers, and Assessors
  • Loot bird’s nests
  • Damage Flying ARC using Snap Blast
  • Open containers on the beach in Riven Tides

1) Best ways to open ARC probes during Season 5 Week 6

The first challenge in this week’s Trials activity requires Raiders to interact with ARC Probes. Since Assessors found during Close Scrutiny are much riskier due to the presence of multiple Vaporizers and flying ARC threats, we chose a safer route so players can complete this challenge with three stars.

Recommended loadout:

  • Anvil / Bettina
  • 4 stacks of Heavy Ammo
  • Light / Medium Shield
  • Shield Rechargers
  • Herbal Bandages
  • 30 Adrenaline Shots (optional)

Recommended strat:

  • Head to the Spaceport map and find the closest probe to your spawn location.
  • Use the map listed above to follow the route and interact with Probes.
  • Take note of all the elevator timings to set a proper path through the map.
  • Breach every possible ARC probe to acquire Trials score. It is not a compulsion to loot all the items inside Probes or Couriers.
  • Utilize at least 30 Adrenaline Shots to keep sprinting from one Probe to the next.
  • Interact with already breached containers to acquire bonus Trials points
  • Repeat this until you reach the 4000 score threshold.

2) Best way to loot bird’s nests during Season 5 Week 6

For the second challenge in Season 5 Week 6 ARC Raiders Trials, we head to Buried City during the Bird City map condition. During this event, you must interact with Bird nests across multiple rooftops to acquire Trial scores. Here is a recommended loadout and route to ensure you grab all nests for the best Trials scores.

Recommended Loadout:

  • Anvil / Ferro
  • Any PvP weapon of choice
  • Light / Medium Shield
  • Shield Rechargers
  • Herbal Bandages
  • 15x Adrenaline Shots (optional)
  • 6x Ziplines (optional)
  • Snap Hook (optional)

Recommended strat:

  • Head to the Buried City during Bird City map condition, and climb to your nearest roof with bird nests.
  • Interact with the nests and then follow the loop around these Points of Interest.
  • Plaza Rosa > Church Ruins > Piazza Arbusto > Town Hall > Corso Da Vinci > Santa Maria Houses > Main Street.
  • Make sure to set up Ziplines or use Snap Hook to maintain your elevated position on the rooftops.
  • Watch out for Rockeeteers and keep a couple of Wolfpacks ready in case of an emergency.
  • Do note that Bird nests do not respawn, so you must interact with empty nests if necessary to grab the Trials score

3) Best way to damage Flying ARC using Snap Blast for Season 5 Week 6

Snap Blast is an uncommon rarity throwable item that deals 70 damage and has a range of 7.5m. This week, you must use these throwables to damage Flying ARCs. Here is the crafting recipe for Snap Blasts:

  • 2X Crude Explosives
  • 1x Magnet
Snap Blast in ARC Raiders (Image via SK Gaming || Embark Studios)Snap Blast in ARC Raiders (Image via SK Gaming || Embark Studios)

You obtain 3 points per 1 damage dealt to a flying ARC using the Snap Blast. This means that one Snap Blast will net you around 210 points. Therefore, you will need almost 20 Snap Blasts to earn 4000 points or three stars in this challenge.

4) Best ways to open containers on the beach in Riven Tides for Season 5 Week 6

For this specific activity in ARC Raiders Trials, one must open containers in the beachfront area of the Riven Tides map. This activity can be completed using a free loadout, as Raiders just need to interact with containers to attain points.

Recommended Loadout:

  • Anvil
  • 2 Stacks of Ammo
  • Light
  • Shield Rechargers
  • Bandages
  • Dockmaster’s Detector (x2)

Use Dockmaster’s Detector during Season 5 Week 6 (Image via SK Gaming || Embark Studios)

Your primary objective is to head to the beach on the north side of the Wavebreaker and Port Authority building. Use the Dockmaster’s Detector to uncover containers and interact with them. Do note that sometimes, unearthing items will reveal mines. Do not try to dodge out of the way. Instead, defuse the mine and look for another container.

Each container awards 200 Points. Therefore, you must unearth and interact with 20 containers to acquire 3 stars or 4000 Trials points.

5) Best ways to damage ARCs inside the walls during Season 5 Week 6

This week, Raiders must damage flying ARCs with Hullcrackers. Doing so is quite easy but requires a decent chunk of money for the full loadout. Let us take a look at the recommended loadout and strategy.

Recommended loadout:

  • Renegade
  • Hullcracker
  • 3 stacks of ammunition each
  • 2x Wolfpacks (optional)
  • Snitch Scanners (optional)
  • Medium Shield
  • Shield Rechargers / Surge Shield Rechargers
  • Herbal Bandages / Sterilized Bandage / Vita Spray
Spaceport walls marked with green lines (Image via SK Gaming || Embark Studios)Spaceport walls marked with green lines (Image via SK Gaming || Embark Studios)

Recommended strat:

  • Head to the Spaceport and go inside the walls. Make your way to the Launch Towers.
  • Start shooting all the flying ARCs you can spot. Use your Renegade to lure flying ARCs in the distance and then finish them off with Hullcracker once they are close
  • Raiders can also trigger Snitches or Snitch Scanners to call for backup. This way, an additional flying ARC will spawn.
  • You can also lure Rocketeers or Vaporizers, but that introduces a ton of risk with higher chances of failure.

You earn 1 point for 1 damage dealt to flying ARCs using Hullcracker. Therefore, you must deal 4000 damage to earn three stars in this ARC Raiders Trial activity.
