Aston Villa have agreed a deal sign West Ham defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The DR Congo right-back will join on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Wan-Bissaka has been given permission to travel for a medical in the Midlands but the exact terms are not known, with the Hammers having previously asked interested clubs to pay a £25m fee.

The 28-year-old has missed Championship club West Ham’s first two matches of the season during negotiations.

West Ham have sold Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham for £85m and Crysencio Summerville for £60m this summer, but captain Jarrod Bowen has signed a new contract.

Villa, meanwhile, have also had a busy summer in the transfer market, most notably selling Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for £117m.

They currently have the lowest net spend in the Premier League, at about £110m after sales are taken into account.

Despite that, Villa have signed midfielders Johan Manzambi and Joao Gomes, as well as Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. They have also added highly rated young centre-back Modou Keba Cisse.

Villa begin their Premier League campaign at Brighton on Sunday (14:00 BST) and will also compete in the Champions League after finishing fourth and winning the Europa League under Unai Emery last season.

Cameron Dantzler could still be helping to shutdown the skies in Minnesota. After all, the tackling corner is only 27 (but will turn 28 in September). Instead, he has been out of the NFL, a reality he’s looking to change.

Once again, the former Vikings draft pick went to social media to make his case for returning to the top professional league, writing, “I can bring a lot to the CB room.” That basic affirmation of self confidence arrived in response to an August 15th post pointing out that the Cleveland Browns are in need of some corner help.

Cameron Dantzler Wants Back In

Looking at Dantzler’s social media means seeing somebody who believes he belongs in the NFL.

Check out a quick thought on August 4th: “Better attitude, better player, more humbled.” And then what he said on August 8th: “Have too much skill not to at least be at a training camp.. I can really play CB and Safety haha just let me spin.” On August 15th — the day of the Vikings’ debut preseason game — Dantzler said, “When they call I’m gone ball.”

The point is merely to highlight that Cameron Dantzler is continuing to petition for his next shot.

Originally, the corner got into the NFL in the Vikings’ 2020 draft haul. Of course, that was the year when Minnesota snagged a receiver coming out of LSU at No. 22. Justin Jefferson inspired some concerns about his ability to shine outside of the slot. Since then, he has been setting records despite a pile of quarterback turmoil.

Other promising players to get scooped up in that draft haul include safety Josh Metellus alongside center Blake Brandel, who was an offensive tackle at the time. Players such as guard Ezra Cleveland, defensive tackle James Lynch, edge rusher D.J. Wonnum, and linebacker Troy Dye are still NFL football players.

Dantzler inspired plenty of early promise due to his physicality and length. Not the world’s fastest corner, Dantlzer looked like somebody who could get plugged into a CB3 job and shine once there. Instead, the Vikings moved on following the 2022 season, leading to a football adventure.

Cameron Dantzler has journeyed around the league. The former Viking has put in work for the Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, and Miami Dolphins. Otherwise, he has been found in the spring pro league.

The Vikings host the Baltimore Ravens this week for joint practices at TCO Performance Center before a Saturday preseason game.

Richard Masters, the Premier League chief executive, has provided an update on Manchester City’s 115 alleged charges with a statement as the club continue to wait for a final ruling

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has admitted he still doesn’t know when there will be a final verdict on Manchester City’s 115 alleged charges.

City have been charged with breaking financial rules over a nine-year period, which started in 2009 following the Abu Dhabi United Group takeover and went on until 2018. An three-person independent commission – which began back in September 2024 – lasted three months and a decision was expected to be made public before the end of that season.

However, City are still waiting to discover their fate, almost 18 months since the disciplinary hearing concluded. It has frustrated supporters, who want clarification on the situation, but Masters is unsure when the independent commission will publish the final ruling.

“I do accept it’s taking longer than expected, and I understand that people want to find out as soon as possible what’s going on, but I simply can’t provide that,” Masters told the BBC.

“Our rules are very clear – we have to follow the process, and there’s only one real clear route through, which is to allow that process to reach its natural conclusion.”

City maintain their innocence. As part of the alleged 115 breaches, City were first charged for 54 counts of failing to provide accurate financial information from 2009/10 until 2017/18. They also allegedly didn’t provide accurate details for player and manager payments from 2009/10 to 2017/18 on 14 occasions.

City have been handed five charges related to their inability to comply with UEFA’s rules including Financial Fair Play (FFP) from 2013/14 to 2017/18. Another seven charges are for breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability (PSR) rules from 2015/16 until 2017/18, while the final alleged 35 charges are for failing to co-operate with Premier League investigations from December 2018 until February 2023.

Enzo Maresca, who was appointed as Pep Guardiola’s replacement at the Etihad Stadium in June, was asked about City’s ongoing wait for a conclusion to be made, soon after his appointment.

“No, no, to be honest,” he said about the 115 alleged charges facing City, before adding: “The only thing I can say is that three years ago, the treble season, I was here. And there were the same words about this kind of problem.

“In three years, it’s still the same, so nothing happened. I don’t have anything to say because it’s something that is there. But again, the only thing I can say is that the way the organisation is working is to show how serious they are, how good they are, bringing titles and more things.”

However, when asked about a potential showdown with a prime Roy Jones Jr – one of just two fighters to have captured a world title at both middleweight and heavyweight – Froch was happy to admit that ‘Captain Hook’ would have been ‘too fast’ for him.

“The Cobra is getting done here! Roy Jones beats The Cobra. Too fast, too skilful. I might not even lay a glove on him.”

Newly appointed head coach of El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, Emmanuel King, has appointed former Akwa United and Dakkada FC midfielder Godwin Inamoto as his first assistant coach ahead of the new football season.

The duo will work together as the Maiduguri-based club prepares for the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season, with the immediate objective of steering the club back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Coach Emmanuel King was appointed the new head coach of the current President Federation Cup champions last month and has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading El-Kanemi Warriors in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign while also overseeing the club’s quest to return to Nigeria’s top-flight league next season.

According to Mfon Patrick, In a strategic move to strengthen his technical team, Coach King has brought in Godwin Inamoto, a former professional midfielder with considerable experience in coaching and youth development.

Inamoto previously served as an assistant coach with Dakkada FC in 2025. Before that, he was the head coach of Heaven Race Football Academy in 2024. He also served as the head coach of the Akwa Ibom State junior female team at the 2026 Niger Delta Games in Edo State.

The former Akwa United midfielder has continued to build his coaching credentials alongside his practical experience. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration from Heritage Polytechnic, Eket, which he obtained in 2018.

He further earned a National Institute for Sports (NIS) certificate in Coaching and Sports Psychology in 2024 and subsequently obtained an NIS Basic Certificate in Sports Fitness and Conditioning in 2025.

With his playing experience, coaching qualifications and growing technical background, Inamoto is expected to make a significant contribution to Coach Emmanuel King’s technical team as El-Kanemi Warriors begin preparations for the new season.

Together, King and Inamoto will be tasked with guiding the Maiduguri club through a challenging campaign that combines the demands of continental football with the club’s ambition of securing a return to the Nigerian top flight.

Marie explained she suffered many injuries while being in the ring, taking bumps from her fellow wrestlers. She said neck injuries, specifically, have made her job as a nurse tough and that joining OnlyFans was a way to think about her children’s futures as a single mom.

“I have a lot of residual issues also from being a nurse from wrestling. I choose not to be what I see on a daily basis – people my age in beds and never getting back up. It’s scary. And the only difference is it happened to them and not me,” she said. “These are the things that go through my head. You know, as we get older, we start thinking about these things, right? So, it just made sense. It just made sense to prepare.

“And heck, if I’m able to nurse and continue to nurse and figure it out and not need the extra dollars … Well, I guess my kids are going to have a great time after I’m gone. … I would love nothing more than to be able to, as a single mom, have my kids finish school and not have a college debt.”

Marie also said she’s back doing appearances, which is forcing her to take better care of herself. She said, “Why not?” take the next step and try out OnlyFans.

“I’m not trying to be the Dawn Marie of 20 years ago,” she said. “I’m trying to be the Dawn Marie that’s 55 and embracing it and enjoying being what I am and what I am now. I think women are beautiful at every age.”

Furthermore, Marie made clear that doing OnlyFans “wasn’t about the big money grab.”

“This is just preparing a little extra something for my future – just in case.”

Marie jumped into pro wrestling in 1995, making her debut at an independent show in New Jersey managing Tony Atlas in his match against Jimmy Snuka. She would work her way up and down the East Coast before getting into ECW and later WWE (then called the World Wrestling Federation).

She departed WWE in 2005 and appeared in a few other independent promotions in the late 2000s. She then made her return to WWE in 2024 at NXT Halloween Havoc as a special guest referee for a match between Jaida Parker and Lola Vice.

She explained to Fox News Digital that the moment she stepped foot into the first show she knew she had made the right decision for herself.

“The second I walked out that curtain and I had that moment. It was so profound,” she said. “Literally, I could remember, I walk out and going … It was weird. Rolando Romero and Teofimo Lopez are set to square off on Saturday in a battle for the WBA welterweight title, and esteemed trainer and fight analyst Teddy Atlas has provided his prediction for the fight.

‘Rolly’ got his hands on the WBA welterweight crown 15 months ago in an upset win over Ryan Garcia at Times Square in New York, but the Las Vegas-native is yet to fight since, following collapsed talks with Manny Pacquiao, Devin Haney and Jack Catterall.

This weekend, he finally attempts a first defence, as he collides with two-division world champion and welterweight debutant Lopez, who lost his WBO super-lightweight title in a one-sided defeat to Shakur Stevenson at the beginning of the year.

On his podcast, ‘The Fight with Teddy Atlas’, the former Mike Tyson coach forecasted that Lopez will bounce back with a win and put an early end to Romero’s reign, favouring the natural talent and instincts of ‘The Takeover’.

“I’m going with Teofimo. I’m going to go with his talent. I think that, at the end of the day, he is more talented [than Romero] and more instinctual, I don’t know if that showed too much in the Shakur Stevenson fight but that style and that talent of Stevenson is pretty different and very difficult.”

Romero-Lopez takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Cuba’s Yoenli Hernandez hoping to tee up a shot at Denzel Bentley’s WBO middleweight title by defeating Argentina’s Francisco Daniel Veron in the standout bout of the undercard.

A former world snooker champion has gone on trial at the High Court in Glasgow over child sex abuse charges.

Graeme Dott, 49, is accused of lewd and libidinous behaviour towards two youngsters, a girl and a boy, between 1993 and 2010.

The alleged incidents are said to have occurred on “various occasions” and involved addresses in Glasgow’s east end and South Lanarkshire as well as in a car.

Dott, who won the world title in 2006, has denied the charges against him.

The allegation involving a girl includes claims he inappropriately touched her, instructed her to remove her clothes and exposed himself.

In the claims surrounding the separate abuse of a boy, Dott is said to have made sexual remarks, entered a bathroom and watched him shower and also molested him.

The female witness, who is now in her 40s, claimed the first incident occurred when she was nine or 10 at a house in Glasgow.

She had initially been in a room with other youngsters when Dott came in.

Former France midfielder ⁠Patrick Vieira ​has been appointed head coach of Senegal, the Senegalese Football ​Federation (FSF) said on Tuesday.

Vieira, who was born in Senegal’s capital Dakar, succeeds Pape Thiaw, whose tenure ended after Senegal’s elimination ​from this ‌year’s World Cup in the round ⁠of 32.

“Mr Patrick Vieira is the new coach of Senegal’s senior national team. ‌The date of the official presentation and the ⁠next steps in his installation will be the subject of a subsequent announcement,” the FSF said in ​a statement on X.

The 50-year-old takes charge ‌of a national team for the first time after coaching stints at clubs in England, France and Italy. Vieira managed Crystal ‌Palace in the Premier League and French sides Nice and Strasbourg, while also ​spending a brief spell in charge of Serie A club Genoa.

One of France’s most decorated midfielders, Vieira was part ​of the team that won the 1998 World Cup ​and Euro 2000, earning more than ​100 caps for the national side.

At club level, he is best known for his ​spell with Arsenal, where he made more than 400 appearances and won three Premier League titles. His first matches in charge of Senegal will come in next month’s international window ⁠as the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations champions continue preparations for ⁠the 2027 tournament. ​

The qualifiers will begin as early as September.
