A WWE Hall of Famer recently made shocking remarks about Tony Khan. He went on to say that All Elite Wrestling rejected him because his political ideology was different than that of the AEW President and his father.
WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg has been pretty active on his social media lately. He was involved in social media banter with Dave Meltzer on X. Amidst that, a fan said that Dogg should not get involved in such activities; otherwise, Tony Khan would not allow him to join All Elite Wrestling.
Well, Dogg replied to that fan with an eyebrow-raising comment. He said that AEW did not take him because of his ideology. The WWE Hall of Famer even claimed that Tony Khan’s father, Shahid Khan, donated to Donald Trump and his party. These comments clearly showcased Road Dogg‘s frustration with All Elite Wrestling.

“Actually, I was turned away because of my political/ core beliefs That happened IN AMERICA 🇺🇸 I didn’t donate to or vote for Trump, BUT his old man did, why was I punished ?” posted Dogg.

@A1ex85_ Actually, I was turned away because of my political/ core beliefs That happened IN AMERICA 🇺🇸 I didn’t donate to or vote for Trump, BUT his old man did, why was I punished ?
Before Tony Khan, Road Dogg took a jab at Dave Meltzer
Road Dogg recently made a major claim about a tag team in AEW. He said The Gunns are an incredible tag team, and the AEW World Tag Team Championships are beneath them right now. Pro-wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer called out Dogg for his comment by highlighting that FTR, the Young Bucks, and Cope & Cage have all been AEW World Tag Team Champions to elevate the title’s prestige.

In response, Dogg sarcastically asked for forgiveness from Dave Meltzer. He said that only Meltzer is allowed to give an opinion about wrestling online. The former WWE star called it a “5-star” tweet as a shot at the journalist’s 5-star match ratings.
“My bad Dave, I forgot, when it comes to wrestling, ONLY your opinion matters 5 star tweet sir!” posted Dogg.
My bad Dave, I forgot, when it comes to wrestling, ONLY your opinion matters 5 star tweet sir! #GOTME #OUCH #S*CKIT
Things seem to be heating up between Road Dogg and Dave Meltzer right now. Nonetheless, fans are excited to see what else Dogg will be saying about Tony Khan from here on out. Earlier, there were rumors that the former WWE star may join AEW, but it seems like those rumors are now done for good.

Much like it is a tradition for a footballer to take away the match ball after scoring a hat-trick, a bowler will pocket the cricket ball after claiming a five-wicket haul.
But what happens if two bowlers take five-wicket hauls in the same innings?
England seamers Ollie Robinson and Josh Tongue came up with a solution after they snared five apiece on the opening day of the first Test against Pakistan.
“Robbo said we can split the ball in half,” Tongue told Test Match Special. “The groundstaff have kindly done that.
“It’s the first time I’ve seen that happen. I’m sure I’ll be putting that up somewhere.”
Robinson showed off his half in a media conference and explained: “We were walking off the field.
“Josh said it and I said: ‘We actually should do that, it would be quite cool.’
“You don’t really have too many halves of a cricket ball, so it would be something that we never forget.”

The efforts of the pace-bowling duo helped Joe Root get off to an ideal start on the first day of his second stint as England Test captain.
Tongue claimed 5-46 and Robinson 5-51 to skittle Pakistan for 171 after England won the toss. The home side moved to 112-2 by the close in Leeds.
Tongue and Robinson are the first pair of England bowlers to register five-wicket hauls in the same Test innings since Steve Harmison and Monty Panesar against Pakistan at Old Trafford in 2006.
They led England off the field at Headingley hand in hand, hatching their plan to make one ball into two halves.

“Wayne Bentley, the team manager, took it down to the groundstaff,” said Robinson.
“I said: ‘Do you reckon they will be able to do it?’ Within five minutes he brought it back up and it was done. It’s really nice.”
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has set his sights on the Ballon d’Or after receiving his second European Golden Shoe in Munich on Wednesday. The England captain collected the prize after scoring the most goals in Europe’s top divisions last season. Kane won the 2023-24 award after a prolific first season at Bayern, but said this year’s honour “tasted even better than the first”. The 33-year-old scored 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga games last term, the third most in a German top-flight campaign, while winning the league and cup double.
He also netted six times at the World Cup, becoming England’s top goalscorer at the competition with 14 career goals.
In total, he scored 73 goals for club and country last season.

Kane said he hoped to receive football’s highest individual honour after his “best season ever”.
“Obviously, that’s out of my control. I know, of course, there’s going to be a lot of talk about it from now until October when it’s announced,” he said.
“Ultimately, I’ve done everything I can last season. It was my best season by far. I achieved a lot with the teams I was in.”
Kane made it to the Champions League semi-finals with Bayern, who were narrowly defeated by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.

He also reached the semi-finals of the World Cup with England before an agonising 2-1 loss to Argentina.
Only serial Ballon d’Or winners Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have won the Golden Shoe more often than Kane.
Messi won the award six times, all with Barcelona, while Ronaldo won it three times at Real Madrid and once at Manchester United.
“That’s for you guys to debate and fans to debate,” Kane said of the possible winner of this year’s Ballon d’Or, which will be handed out in London in late October.

“That’s what makes the Ballon d’Or so special as well. Many players have had great seasons.”
Kane said on Monday he was about to begin negotiations to extend his contract at Bayern, which will expire in 2027.

Item (10/1) was a surprise winner of the Group 1 Juddmonte International at York on Wednesday.
Trained by Andrew Balding for the sponsors, Juddmonte Farms, the Colin Keane-ridden son of Frankel outstayed the opposition inside the final furlong to gain a head success over Almaqam (14/1).
While it had been billed as a clash of the generations, namely Constitution River representing the classic generation, and Ombudsman, the older generation, it turned out to be a generational clash alright, but with different protagonists.
The three-year-old Item, winner of the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes over course and distance last time, kept on well at the death to get the better of the five-year son of Lope De Vega, Almaqam, the mount of Kieran Shoemark.
Plans for the entire race were quickly dispensed with shortly after horses exited the stalls as the pacemakers for Godolphin, Devil’s Advocate (200/1), and for Coolmore, Action (200/1), both failed to get to the head of the field.
As a result, Hawk Mountain (20/1) and Wayne Lordan, the perceived Ballydoyle second string, had to make the pace for his stablemate, French Derby and Coral-Eclipse winner, Constitution River.
Though the latter claimed the lead at the two-furlong pole, his market rival, Ombudsman (5/6f), who had been in a poor position, found space along the rail to make his run, but he would ultimately only manage fourth place.

Almaqam, the eventual runner-up, and Item, came on Constitution River and Ryan Moore’s outside, with first, the Ed Walker-trained 122-rated Almaqam leading, before Item and Colin Keane outstayed them to the line.
Constitution River took third, three-and-a-half lengths behind the Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum-owned runner-up, with the race favourite, Ombudsman and William Buick, next to pass the post, a length behind the Aidan O’Brien-handled son of Wootton Bassett.
India and Pakistan will renew their historic hockey rivalry when they meet in a crucial Pool D encounter at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen on Wednesday, August 19.
The clash comes with significant qualification implications for both teams. India have three points from two matches after beating Wales 3-1 and losing 2-4 to England. Pakistan, meanwhile, have one point after losing to England and drawing with Wales.

The Pool D encounter carries major qualification implications. The top two teams from each pool advance to the second round, where they remain in contention for the semi-finals.
India currently sit second with three points, while Pakistan have one point. A draw would be enough for India to progress, whereas Pakistan need a victory to stay in the competition.

The two sides last met at the Hockey World Cup in 2010, when India recorded a 4-1 victory in New Delhi. The upcoming encounter will therefore mark their return to the World Cup stage after 16 years.

Paul Pogba has left AS Monaco after the two parties mutually agreed to terminate his contract.
The 33-year-old midfielder is now a free agent and will be able to join another club without a transfer fee.
Pogba’s departure comes after a brief spell with Monaco. The Frenchman is now considering his next career move, with clubs from the MLS and Saudi Pro League showing interest.

The former Manchester United and Juventus star remains one of the most recognizable midfielders of his generation. His experience at the highest level of European football could make him an attractive option for clubs looking for creativity, physicality and leadership in midfield.
A decision on his future is expected in the coming weeks as Pogba weighs up his options.
England vs Pakistan, 1st Test Day 1 Highlights: Hosts England hold the edge at Stumps on Day 1. They wasted little time wrapping up Pakistan’s innings, bowling them out for 171 with Ollie Robinson and Josh Tongue both completing excellent five-wicket hauls. Ben Duckett and Emilio Gay then came out with positive intent, racing to 36 before Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Ali struck in consecutive overs to remove both openers, with Gay departing for a fluent 33. That, though, was as good as it got for Pakistan, as Joe Root and Jordan Cox came together to steady the innings and keep the runs flowing, adding an unbeaten 64 to ensure there were no further hiccups and cutting the deficit to just 59 at Stumps. The visitors will hope the overcast conditions bring early reward on Day 2, while England will look to build on this stand and turn their advantage into a substantial first-innings lead. (Scorecard)

Spain’s World Cup Champions Celebrate Wildly At Cibeles Square
Anyone familiar with golf’s GOAT, Tiger Woods, knows that technical precision is an ideal he strived to achieve across every facet of his game — including his apparel and equipment.
When Woods launched Sun Day Red in 2024, it was apparent that his quest for technical excellence would continue with his new brand. Case in point: the Sun Day Red’s popular Presidio spikeless golf shoes, which launched earlier this year to great consumer acclaim, are now freshly restocked at PGA TOUR Superstore — and the shoes are bursting with features.
What is it that golfers are loving about these shoes? Here are some highlights.
The Presidio’s primary design aim is to help facilitate maximum power transfer through impact. This is achieved via a dual durometer outsole, Torsional Traction Plate and multi-directional lugs that lock into the turf. The heel and midfoot remain stable thanks to a TPU lateral stability system.
Of course, the Presidio is also designed to be comfortable to walk in. To keep your foot cool and comfortable, the Presidio features a mesh-reinforced upper construction with strategic foam padding, and a lacing system that allows for ease of articulation without sacrificing foot security.
To top it off, the shoe looks understated and cool, and are available in both white and gray with black accents. The branding is minimal, with “Sun Day Red” text on the side, and the Tiger logo on the back of the heel.
In short, if you’re looking for a cool new shoe to wear as summer golf comes to an end and fall begins, the Presidio is a good choice. Check out the shoe in detail below, and order your pair while you can!

Connection to the ground isn’t just about traction—it’s about the advantage you feel. The stability you trust. The precision between intention and execution. The Sun Day Red Presidio features a dual durometer outsole with full-length ground contact and multi-directional lugs that lock into the turf. A TPU lateral stability system keeps your heel and midfoot stable throughout the swing, maximizing power transfer. Mesh-reinforced upper construction with strategic foam padding delivers breathability and comfort through 36-hole days. The Presidio represents a new standard in spikeless performance that connects you to the course like never before. Details: • The innovative Torsional Traction Plate equips the golfer with a dual durometer tread plate that delivers enhanced traction for on course play • Full-length ground contact outsole maximizes ground force reactions for optimal power transfer with strategic traction zones for enhanced performance. • Multi-directional lug placement provides superior interaction with any playing surface. • Lateral Stability Brace (TPU) provides critical stability and support in the midfoot area to maximize power transfer through the swing. • Full-length proprietary EVA midsole delivers superior comfort and smooth ride for all-day wear. • TPU External Heel Counter keeps the heel locked in and stable throughout the entire swing sequence. • Mesh reinforced with TPU film maintains weather protection while ensuring breathability and comfort. • Ghillies at the instep area allow for diverse movement and articulation while keeping your feet securely locked in. • Engineered foam package on heel maximizes comfort while mesh tongue provides enhanced breathability and lace bite prevention.

Quarterbacks matter. In the words to follow, they don’t matter at all.
The 5 Vikings players to watch for the upcoming Ravens practices span the offense and defense. Some hang out in the trenches while others can be found surrounded by plenty of green grass. Look for who needs a couple of huge days in what is a climactic moment of training camp.
5 Vikings Players to Watch as Ravens Visit TCO Performance Center
Player No. 1 – DT Caleb Banks
Advertisement

The hulking defensive tackle sees the size of his frame matched only by the size of his potential. Unlocking that potential isn’t automatic. Part of the problem has been injury, keeping him off the field in the same way that J.J. McCarthy missed development time due to injury. Banks wants his career’s trajectory to move in a very different manner.
So far, there has been quite a lot of chatter about the DT’s pad level. The conversation should consider his ability to stay sturdy against double teams, pack electricity into his mitts, and offer the competitive snarl that he promised after speaking to the media when getting drafted. Pushing around the Ravens’ o-lineman — including Baltimore’s own 1st-Round selection in Vega Ioane — would inspire optimism.
Player No. 2 – WR Myles Price

Consider something that may not be super obvious to the casual observer. That terrific one-handed Myles Price touchdown catch to end the play was only possible due to his release coming off the line of scrimmage at the beginning of the play.
Everybody agrees that Price worked hard in the offseason. Where that showed up is not just in the quality of his hands. It also showed up in the shifty explosion coming off the line of scrimmage. Seeing him do some of that against Baltimore’s impressive secondary – Malaki Starks, Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey — would be another gust of wind in Price’s sails.
Player No. 3 – CB Chuck Demmings

He prays, he raps, and he challenges receivers in man coverage. Can’t help but be impressed by the young lad.
Baltimore’s top receiver is Zay Flowers. The shifty WR1 is capable of shaking most corners out of their cleats. Does he get a chance to do so vs. Demmings? Nobody is looking for the 5th-Round rookie to become the CB1 in his debut season. Seeing him push for CB3 snaps would become likelier, though, with a strong effort against a strong opponent.
Player No. 4 – FB Max Bredeson

Deemed “adequate” as a pass catcher by OC Wes Phillips, FB Max Bredeson is more than merely adequate as a blocker. He’s going to earn a beefy workload as a rookie.
Baltimore’s defense has veteran linebacker Roquan Smith at the center of things. Taking on the former top-ten selection isn’t for the faint of heart; Smith’s All-Pro honors have been well earned. Can the rookie fullback still hang with one of the players to be recognized as the gold standard of LB play in recent seasons?
Player No. 5 – C Blake Brandel

At Oregon State, Blake Brandel played offensive tackle. He then got drafted with the ambition of seeing him become a strong OT3. Along the way, Brandel figured out that learning every o-line position would make him more valuable to the team, something he told Vikings Territory.
Fast forward from 2020 into the summer of 2026. Brandel is now the Vikings’ C1. Some have concern about his abilities, or lack thereof. Some of the recent social media hubbub has mentioned Brandel’s snapping. Does that prove to be an issue when lined up across from DT Nnamdi Madubuike and Calais Campbell?
James Toney has assessed whether the perceived size and strength advantages of Rolando Romero will see him retain his world title against Teofimo Lopez.
Prior to that, the American campaigned in the 135 and 140lb divisions, but now seems a more physically imposing operator at welterweight.
He has also been awarded the full WBA title since his last outing, against Garcia, with Lopez bidding to become a three-division world champion when they lock horns this Saturday.
Back then, the outcome of a Stevenson victory came as no real surprise, yet few had expected him to dethrone Lopez in such dominant fashion.
The 29-year-old will therefore have a point to prove when he steps through the ropes this weekend, joining the 147lb division after losing his WBO super-lightweight title.
Hall of Famer Toney, however, has told Fight Hub TV that he favours the physical attributes of Romero over Lopez’s superior skillset and world-level experience.
“I like both fighters. I know Teo’s going up [in weight] – it should be a good fight – but I think Rolly’s shown he’s come on a lot. Rolly is rolling. He’s too big, too strong.”
It is worth noting, too, that Lopez has only claimed one stoppage victory – a seventh-round finish over Pedro Campa – since moving up from 135lbs.
