Lewis Cope has joked to ‘send help’ as she gave a glimpse as the preparations for his next Strictly Come Dancing appearance alongside Katya Jones.
The pair pulled off an epic performance during the show’s annual Blackpool special on Saturday night (November 22) as they opened the spectacular show at the famous Tower Ballroom after some big news from show hosts, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
They confirmed that La Voix, who was paired with pro Aljaz Skorjanec, has had to withdraw from the show fully, having initially been given a bye to the following week, due to injury, and as a result, nobody was being sent home.
It meant that all six remaining couples wouldn’t be at risk of leaving the competition, but that the judges’ scores and public votes would be instead carried over to the next live show with the introduction of the ‘Instant Dance’ challenge could flip the leaderboard on its head.
As mentioned Lewis and Katya opened the show and recieved their second perfect score of the series after impressing with their Charleston to Arctic Monkeys’ I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, with judge Motsi Mabuse praising the couple, saying their “energy was insane” and the “roof is off”.
They finished the show top of the leaderboard and before they started work on their next routine, set to be a Rumba to the Harry Styles track, Falling, Lewis and Katya had a message to share with fans.
Sharing pictures from their appearance on the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Lewis said: “We absolutely love BLACKPOOL. What an unforgettable night @bbcstrictly. Our hearts are full. We are so grateful for the love and support we have received, we will never take it for granted. Please can we do it all again.

Now, Lewis has shared a glimpse at what was happening in the training room. Sharing a video to his Instagram Story from his TikTok page, it showed a compilation of clips featuring Katay trying to hula hoop. “Tell me it’s Instant Dance week on Strictly without telling me,” a message read across the video before Lewis cheekily added: “Send help.”
Meanwhile, Lewis and Katya topped off their memorable weekend by heading back to the actor’s hometown of Hartlepool where he was on hand to officially switch on some Christmas lights.
Alongside a video of them delighting the crowds, Katya wrote on her Instagram Story: “He is so loved,” after Lewis’ girlfriend, Rachel Lopez, first shared the clip with the message: “Oh wow the love and supportin Hartlepool is beautiful [face holding back tears emoji].”
