Just before the main event, VikingsTerritory will publish a final predictive mock draft, when all clues have been compiled, once and for all. Until then, here’s the penultimate stab at predicting the Minnesota Vikings’ seven-round approach in 12 days.
Minnesota stacks nine picks in this penultimate 2026 mock draft.
The Vikings have nine picks — four before Round 4 and five after.

Trade-Down Scenario Sends Minnesota in Several Different Directions
Draft showtime nears.
Auburn Tigers defensive end Keldric Faulk (15) charges into the backfield on Sept. 6, 2025, at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama, during a matchup against the Ball State Cardinals. Faulk applied steady pressure as Auburn controlled the game, rolling to a decisive 42-3 victory in front of a home crowd. Mandatory Credit: Jake Crandall-Imagn Images.
We felt it was necessary to include one mock draft this cycle that featured a Greenard trade, mainly because the smoke has been out there since early last month.
So, in this scenario, the Vikings get their 2nd-Rounder from Kansas City, Greenard joins the dynastic Chiefs, and Minnesota turns around to draft Greenard’s replacement in Faulk. The Auburn EDGE is known for his leadership, accountability, and character. He also won’t turn 21 until the fall.
The Vikings would basically start the outside linebacker clock over in this scenario.
The Ringer‘s Todd McShay on Faulk: “Faulk’s draft stock fluctuates wildly, depending on whom you ask. His grades will vary from team to team based on his defensive scheme fit. Expect a wide range of opinions, but the bottom line is that Faulk is a Round 1 pick all day long and should hear his name called in the first 25 picks.”
“There are a lot of similarities between Faulk and Arik Armstead; the latter was also 21 years old coming out of Oregon. Faulk is slightly shorter than Armstead but is more athletically gifted. He should have a long, successful NFL career ahead of him and could be one of the steals in this draft.”
The fruit of the Greenard trade? That’s Price, the RB2 from Notre Dame, who played second fiddle to Jeremiyah Love. Price scored 13 touchdowns last year, even with Love getting the bulk of attention.
He has 4.49 speed, elite vision, and has been compared to Javonte Williams by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein.
Round 2 (Pick 49) Caleb Banks (DT) | Florida
Advertisement
Sticking with the defensive line, Banks may fall due to his boom-or-bust profile and injury history. He may not be fully ready because of a foot injury this summer.
The Gator has nose-tackle size with a pass-rusher’s mentality. After the departures of Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave in free agency, it’s a 2nd-Round steal in Banks to Minnesota.
Round 3 (Pick 82) Connor Lew(C) | Auburn
Head coach Kevin O’Connell has hinted that his team will explore a rookie center after Ryan Kelly retired in March; Lew is the route in this mock draft.
Lew is 6’4″ and 310 pounds, and his draft stock has fallen to Round 2 or 3 because of an October ACL tear. He’s known for fluidity and has a wrestling background. Blake Brandel may start Week 1 at center, but Lew wouldn’t be too far behind in taking the starting job.
Round 3 (Pick 97) Kamari Ramsey (S) | USC
Preferring OLB and DT on defense to start this mock, Minnesota doesn’t exit the draft without a safety. Ramsey is 21 and a guy who could eventually wear a green dot in Brian Flores’s defense.
Often, excellent safeties can be found in the draft’s mid-rounds. The Vikings lean into that mentality after passing on Dillon Thieneman and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.

Ramsey discussed his development and expectations heading into the season, drawing attention as one of USC’s defensive leaders during the conference’s annual offseason media gathering. Mandatory Credit: Lucas Peltier-Imagn Images.
The Athletic‘s Dane Brugler on Ramsey: “Ramsey might not have any one exceptional trait, but he is solid across the board with his athletic tools, smarts and toughness. Staying healthy will be the most important hurdle when it comes to locking down a regular role.”
Minnesota has already met with Claiborne, whose draft stock has climbed in recent weeks. His skill set is reminiscent of De’Vone Achane in Miami, and the Vikings’ new assistant head coach, Frank Smith, just spent three seasons with Achane.
Behind Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, and Jadarian Price, Claiborne slips onto the purple depth chart as more youth at running back, which Minnesota desperately needs after swinging and missing on DeWayne McBride and Ty Chandler in recent drafts.
And, yes, it’s two running backs in the mock because there’s an extra roster spot after C.J. Ham’s retirement. That — and Jones will turn 32 in December. He’s virtually assured to be hampered by some kind of injury in 2026.

Round 6 (Pick 196) Domani Jackson (CB) | Alabama
Jackson started for two years at Alabama, and that school isn’t known for producing duds.
This 23-year-old is also fast as hell and can be used on special teams. Some will claim this is too late for Minnesota to draft a cornerback, but the aforementioned Flores has proven that cornerbacks aren’t an extreme priority in his system.
Round 7 (Pick 240) Caleb Douglas (WR) | Texas Tech

Douglas is a deep threat who can get vertical with the best of this rookie class. He started two years at Texas Tech and logged 846 yards and 7 touchdowns last year.
Round 7 (Pick 244) Eric Gentry (LB) | USC
When the offseason began, inside linebacker felt like a probable Vikings need, but then the club re-signed Eric Wilson and Ivan Pace Jr.
The fact remains that Minnesota confusingly dropped Kobe King and Austin Keys last year, two depth linebackers, so Gentry is the selection to round out the draft. Gentry has a 35-inch wingspan and could likely contribute immediately on special teams.
The Toronto Blue Jays have lost yet another important player to injury. Leadoff hitter George Springer suffered a fractured left big toe during Saturday afternoon’s game against the Minnesota Twins (GameTracker), the team announced. They have yet to reveal a timeline for his absence.
Springer suffered the injury when he fouled a pitch into his toe in the third inning. He stayed in to finish the at-bat, grounded out to third base, and ran gingerly down to first base. In the lineup as the designated hitter, Springer was replaced by a pinch-hitter for his next at-bat.
According to the Baseball Prospectus Recovery Dashboard, hitters with a fractured big toe have missed anywhere from two to six weeks, depending on the severity of the fracture. If it’s a hairline fracture, Springer could return before the end of the month. If it’s a more significant fracture, he will be sidelined well into May.
Springer is a full-time DH these days. Not having to play the field could hasten his return.
Yesavage is currently on a minor-league rehab assignment and will make at least one more rehab start. The team will then decide the next step. Berríos has begun facing hitters in live batting practice and is nearing a rehab assignment. Bieber is expected to begin throwing off a mound this weekend and is further behind.
Because of those injuries, the Blue Jays signed veteran lefty Patrick Corbin and inserted him directly into the rotation this week without a minor-league tune-up start. Max Scherzer, who exited his last start with forearm tendinitis, is expected to start Sunday. It is mid-April and the Blue Jays are already pushing the limits of their depth.
Springer, 36, was off to a slow start this season, taking a .189/.283/.377 line into Saturday’s game. Last season, he set new career highs in batting average (.309) and on-base percentage (.390), and posted his second-highest slugging percentage (.560). This is the final year of his six-year, $150 million contract.

The Blue Jays entered Saturday with a 6-7 record and the third worst run-differential in baseball (minus-16).

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the first 10-win team in the majors, and they largely have gotten there with a potent offense.
The Dodgers, who host the Texas Rangers on Saturday night in the second contest of their three-game series, lead the majors in hits (134), batting average (.297) and homers (25).
Four of those homers came in Friday night’s 8-7 win over the Rangers. Max Muncy went deep three times — including a walk-off blast in the ninth inning — and the torrid Andy Pages also homered.
Pages has been a hot hitter from the first game of the season. He is batting .449 and after going 3-for-3 while driving in four runs on Friday to boost his team-leading totals in hits (22) and RBIs (16).
Muncy moved into sixth place all-time in career home runs as a Dodger with 213, and Shohei Ohtani is now the record holder for most consecutive games reaching base at 44. Ohtani’s single on Friday gave him the record after he broke a tie with Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki.
“It’s great,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said of Ohtani. “He’s taking walks, getting hits and he hasn’t really got going yet. For us to win the games we’ve won, score the runs we’ve scored … and Sho isn’t going, he’s going to get hot. That’s a good thing for us.”
The Dodgers will turn to right-hander Emmet Sheehan (1-0, 8.00 ERA) to make the start on Saturday.
Sheehan is looking for a better performance after having allowed four earned runs in each of his first two starts of the season. He has an 11-4 career record and has eight strikeouts to five walks this season.
Sheehan lost the only game he’s ever started against Texas, with eight runs allowed in 3 2/3 innings in his first major league loss in July 2023.
The Rangers, after a three-game sweep of the Seattle Mariners, pitched well as a team in that series. But they allowed more runs Friday night at Dodger Stadium than they did over the three games with Seattle combined.
The Texas bullpen allowed five runs on 10 hits over 3 2/3 innings of relief against the Dodgers, though left-hander Jalen Beeks pitched a scoreless inning.
Corey Seager and Wyatt Langford each hit a home run for the Rangers on Friday, Seager belted his team-high fourth of the season. But Langford left the game with right quad tightness after five innings.
It’s unclear of the severity of the injury.
The scheduled starting pitcher for the Rangers on Saturday is right-hander Jack Leiter (1-0, 2.45 ERA). Leiter has given up nine hits in 11 total innings of work and has 17 strikeouts to just two walks.
Leiter is facing the Dodgers for the first time in his career. He’s come up with an effective cut fastball to add to his arsenal, with the goal of “going deeper into games and throwing more innings this year,” he told MLB.com.
Benn was a clear decision winner over Prograis on the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov undercard, securing three scorecards of 98-92. But in his first fight as a Zuffa Boxing athlete, the controversial British star would have wanted to make a point with a knockout win, as Hearn watched on from the front row.
At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Benn traded wins with bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr in 2025, the 29-year-old always looked a step ahead of Prograis – a former super-lightweight champion – yet he failed to put a punctuation mark on his win.
Conor Benn (right) took on Regis Prograis on the Fury vs Makhmudov undercard (Getty Images for Netflix)
Going into the fight, there were rumours of an injury to Prograis, who insisted he was okay to box but didn’t outright deny that he had struggled through his camp. In any case, he entered this fight at 37 years old and at the highest weight of his career: a 150lb catchweight, as Benn moved closer to his natural welterweight frame after his middleweight duels with Eubank Jr, who also sat ringside.
For all of these factors and theories, Prograis withstood Benn’s best offence, but the American was still beaten across 10 rounds.
Actually, Benn had briefly looked on course for a first-round stoppage, tagging Prograis at will, but the veteran stayed composed, shook his head at the home fighter, and began to land clean offence of his own.
Still, Benn landed the most-consequential shot of the round, although it might have strayed from the confines of the round itself; just after the bell, the Briton speared a cross onto the chin of Prograis, buckling both of his legs.
Benn stayed mobile throughout the ensuing rounds, circling away from Prograis’s power hand – the southpaw left – and while Benn’s jab was landing as a consistent nuisance, he missed with numerous cross attempts.

Prograis was failing to close range effectively, though, and his body shots seemed to lack the power to hurt Benn, who came out of the traps quickly in round five and stared down the American at the end of the frame.
Prograis had some words for the “Destroyer” as the sixth round began, and before long, both boxers wore bloody visages, with Prograis swollen and Benn seemingly cut from a clash of heads.
Benn was left bloodied, seemingly from a clash of heads (Getty Images for Netflix)
With Benn’s right cross failing to produce the desired results, the Essex boxer began to use his left hook well, while mixing in more body shots in a bid to weaken Prograis down the stretch.
There was an encouraging flurry from Benn in the final moments of round eight, boding well for the last two frames, though Prograis was still catching him out with surprisingly-naked southpaw entries. And although Prograis’s footwork betrayed him at times in the final throes of the fight, “Rougarou” heard the final bell.
So, here was Benn after his first fight as a Zuffa boxer: having competed on a card staged by a different promoter (The Ring), on a different broadcaster to Zuffa’s own (Netflix, not Paramount+), and at a catchweight.

None of it made much sense, given his one-fight deal with Zuffa, which was reportedly worth $15m. The bigger question is whether it was worth it at all.

“In the five days since Malone was announced as Carolina’s head coach, there’s been a groundswell of financial support to the program, sources told Inside Carolina. There’s clearly excitement around Malone’s hire as many of the donors are non-traditional ones, we’re told, as in they haven’t or rarely contributed to men’s basketball.”

Penn State guard Kayden Mingo has entered the transfer portal. Kayden Mingo is current UNC commit Dylan Mingo’s brother. Both had previously discussed playing together in college. Dylan was a candidate to flip his commitment following the firing of Hubert Davis. If Malone can secure Kayden Mingo, Dylan flipping would seem much less likely.

Utah guard Terrence Brown Jr (Utah) confirmed he has heard from 17 programs and North Carolina is one of them according to Tar Heels Wire. UNC could potentially be a top 3 option for Brown.
Accoringing to Bleacher Report, the decision to hire Michael Malone over Billy Donovan was in some part influenced by recruiting ability and timetable. The hesitation with Donovan centered around his desire to finish out the year with the Chicago Bulls, which would have dramatically impacted the Tar Heels’ ability to secure transfer players. It also would have impacted non transfer recruiting.

Wake Forest guard Juke Harris is currently the No. 1 overall player in On3’s Transfer Portal Rankings.
“The 6-foot-7 sophomore averaged 21.4 PPG this season. NC State will be in the hunt for the North Carolina native, who’s expected to go through the NBA Draft process. New Wolfpack head coach Justin Gainey recruited Harris while he was at Tennessee and built a strong relationship with him. Another school that I believe could be a contender if they make a push is North Carolina. Harris will be one of the most sought-after players in the portal.”

Ridly Greig scored a short-handed goal, Linus Ullmark stopped all 23 shots he faced and the Ottawa Senators moved to the verge of clinching a playoff spot by shutting out the New York Islanders 3-0 on Saturday.
Ottawa is in if Detroit loses at home in regulation to New Jersey. The Islanders’ hopes took another hit with a fifth loss in six games.
Senators captain Brady Tkachuk took a puck up high late in the second period, returned for one shift in the third and then did not return.
Greig made it a 1-0 game with 6:54 remaining in the first. Jake Sanderson scored in the third, and Michael Amadio sealed it with an empty-netter. The Islanders went 0 for 5 on the power play.

Parramatta’s early-season struggles continue, with injuries exposing defensive frailties despite Mitch Moses’ strong individual form. The Titans, meanwhile, have shown attacking promise and will look to exploit weaknesses through Jayden Campbell and AJ Brimson. Gold Coast’s ability to generate points could prove decisive against an Eels side lacking cohesion. With both teams still searching for consistency, this clash may hinge on which defence can hold up under pressure — an area where Parramatta has been particularly vulnerable.

Chennai Super Kings finally opened their account in the IPL 2026 points table with a win over the Delhi Capitals on April 11. The Men in Yellow scored 212/2 and then bowled their opponents out for 189 to win the contest by 23 runs.
Sanju Samson and Jamie Overton were the architects of CSK’s victory against DC at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Samson’s century powered CSK to a 200+ total in the first innings, and then Overton’s four-wicket haul ensured that DC could not chase the target.
It was a memorable Saturday evening for the CSK fans, and here’s a look at the scorecard, top stats and award winners from the game.
CSK vs DC IPL 2026 scorecard
Advertisement
Sanju Samson returned to form and played an extraordinary innings of 115 runs off just 56 balls. The CSK opener became the first batter to score a hundred in this year’s IPL tournament. Ayush Mhatre supported him well with a 36-ball 59 before he was retired out.
Axar Patel was the only Delhi Capitals bowler to take a wicket in the game. The DC captain dismissed opposition skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad caught out in the seventh over of the first innings.
Pathum Nissanka provided a great start to the Delhi Capitals once again. The Sri Lankan opener amassed 41 runs off 24 deliveries, hitting four fours and two sixes. The rest of the DC top-order could not contribute much, but Tristan Stubbs fought like a lone warrior, scoring 60 off 38.

Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj united forces to wreck the DC batting lineup. Overton bagged four wickets, while Kamboj finished with three as CSK bowled DC out for 189 in 20 overs.
CSK vs DC IPL 2026 full list of award winners
Sanju Samson won the award for smacking the most fours in the contest. Opening the batting for the Chennai Super Kings, Samson hit 15 fours. He also won the Super Striker award for scoring runs at an electric strike rate of 205.36.

CSK vs DC IPL 2026 stats and records
Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Jamie Overton registered the best bowling figures (4/17) by any bowler in IPL 2026 so far. Here are some other top stats and records emerging from this game:
Chennai Super Kings ended their six-match losing streak at Chepauk by defeating the Delhi Capitals.
CSK maintained their 100% win record while defending a 200+ target against DC.
Sanju Samson now has an IPL century for three different franchises – Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals.
This was CSK’s only second win in an IPL match without MS Dhoni in the playing squad.
Brady Tkachuk was forced to leave Saturday’s game after he appeared to take a stick up high around his eye in the second period.
Tkachuk was posted up in front of the Islanders’ bench when Ryan Pulock hopped over the boards. Pulock’s stick seemed to clip Tkachuk in the face, and the Senators captain then stumbled back to his bench.
Tkachuk attempted one more shift before walking down the tunnel. He then returned to the bench to start the third period, but managed just one quick shift before going back to the room.
The 26-year-old has been banged up this season, failing to reach at least 71 games played for just the second time in his career. In 60 games, Tkachuk posted 22 goals and 37 assists.

The Senators are in the driver’s seat for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, needing a win vs. the Islanders and a little outside help from the Devils on Saturday to clinch a berth.
Ottawa made the post-season for the first time during the Tkachuk era last season, where the captain logged four goals and three helpers as the Sens fell in six games to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

FORGED FEEL
Incredible feel is a must for having a great wedge game. MG5 has been forged from soft carbon steel and designed with geometry to provide excellent feel with great feedback.
MAXIMUM SPIN
MG5 uses all-new, more aggressive grooves designed to maximize spin. Saw-milled grooves produce tighter tolerances allowing engineers to design steeper walls and sharper radii intended to maximize spin in both dry and damp conditions.
PERFORMANCE IN ALL CONDITIONS
RAW face with Spin Tread technology channels away moisture to help retain spin. The same way that tire treads help your car stay connected to the road, laser-etched channels redirect water at impact and creates more friction between the club face and golf ball to maintain spin in wet conditions.
CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS CONSISTENCY
Crafted by hand and then milled to perfection. Each wedge and sole grind are precision-milled to eliminate the natural human error that comes with hand polishing. Our grinds deliver unmatched consistency and craftsmanship that players can count on every time.
CHARCOAL FINISH
MG5 debuts a sleek, sophisticated charcoal finish that reduces glare and enhances its aesthetic appeal in the bag.

TRUE PATH™ ALIGNMENT
The patented alignment system provides visual clarity and helps golfers better envision the line to the hole.
WHITE TPU PURE ROLL™ INSERT
Made from a combination of Surlyn and aluminum, the white TPU Pure Roll™ insert creates a softer feel. Grooves are angled at 45° to encourage optimal forward roll as well as better sound, feel and overall roll characteristics. The white insert also creates better symmetry with the white True Path alignment.
REFINED HOSEL DESIGNS
Spider Tour Series includes two different hosel shapes and designs. The small slant produces toe hang, and the double bend produces a face balanced design.
The best players in the world, like 2025 champion in Augusta and career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa have already made the switch to the fastest ever TP5. It’s time for you to make the switch, too.
Microcoating
No two golf balls are the same, but the all-new TP5 sets out to solve an invisible problem through our revolutionary microcoating finish process. Uneven paint and excess pooling in the dimples can compromise distance and accuracy. Microcoating uses precision application technology to ensure uniform coverage across the ball’s entire surface. Click on the video for a deep dive.
Thinner Than a Human Hair
Microcoating is thinner than a human hair and delivers measurable performance advantages: more consistent ball flight, optimized distance, and tight left-to-right dispersion.
The Fastest TP5 Ever
TP5 has long been our softest five-layer Tour ball, but now it’s faster than ever. Employing our largest Tour core to date, the TP5 retains more energy at impact, which results in faster ball speeds and more distance at the top of your bag.

Welcome to the upside down, where four Major League Baseball teams that made the playoffs in 2025 find themselves in last place heading into action Friday.
The postseason underachievers include the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners in the American League, along with the Chicago Cubs in the National League. Also off to a sluggish start are the reigning AL champion Toronto Blue Jays, who aren’t in last place but do have a -22 run differential.
The division races are subject to some volatility, given that we’re not quite two weeks into the regular-season schedule. The sample is small. But, as the saying goes: Just because you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you. Some of these slacking teams have real reason to worry their disappointing starts have staying power.
Feelin’ Blue Jays
The Jays not only own the ugly run differential, but they already have some serious injuries to overcome. Even before Opening Day, right-handers José Berríos, Shane Bieber and Trey Yesavage were absent from the starting rotation. Yesavage is working his way back with optimism, but the other two bring lingering doubts. The Jays also lost Cody Ponce to knee surgery because of a sprained ACL.
Also: Catcher Alejandro Kirk broke his left thumb on a foul tip. Outfielder Addison Barger sprained his ankle. Great gosh almighty, it’s not even mid-April.

No, Cubs, No

The Cubs are set to receive good news Friday with the anticipated return of slugger Seiya Suzuki, who injured his knee on an awkward slide in the World Baseball Classic in March. Suzuki’s return should take some pressure off Pete Crow-Armstrong to break out of his early season slump (which actually goes back to August).
The Cubs have some serious pitching woes. Three-fifths of the starting rotation is on the shelf, though left-hander Justin Steele has started to face live hitters in his return from elbow surgery. Less-happy news includes recent injuries to left-hander Matthew Boyd (biceps strain) and season-ending UCL surgery for right-hander Cade Horton.
Tigers stuck in cage
The Tigers don’t have a lot of obvious reasons for concern, but their slump and collapse in 2025 wasn’t 100% logical either. This group can just get out of whack for a couple of weeks at a time. Overall, they haven’t played that badly so far, and come in with a -1 run differential. They’ve also only played three home games. The WBC business might have knocked Tarik Skubal off his ideal prep schedule.
Something to keep in mind for the long haul: Injuries have picked away at the Tigers pitching depth, with Justin Verlander joining Reese Olson and Troy Melton on the injured list.

Sawx need a good warshing
Boston Red Sox pitcher Connelly Early (71) throws a pitch in the second inning of the MLB Interleague game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Boston Red Sox at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The game was scoreless after three innings.
The Red Sox always seem to be looking for ways to disappoint. They have not played poor defense so far, so they got that going for ’em. Other than that, it’s spotty. He surely will start to hit soon, but whatever is going on with Roman Anthony’s throwing arm bears watching. It looks like the top of the rotation is starting to take shape with Garrett Crochet and Sonny Gray stepping forward, but Ranger Suárez and Brayan Bello have been disastrous.
They’re not scoring a lot of runs, they’re not hitting a lot of home runs (as many projected). Aroldis Chapman’s velocity is down (he is 38 years old, after all), and the bullpen depth looks shaky for either performance or injury reasons. The Red Sox looked like an oddly constructed team during Spring Training and now they have a disappointing record to reflect it.
Don’t get rattled, Seattle
The Mariners have the worst record and the fewest actual concerns of any of these teams.
Cal Raleigh, Josh Naylor and Julio Rodrígez are all slumping, but it won’t last. They’re 1-5 in one-run games, a stat that’s sure to improve. They’re sixth in starting pitcher ERA, which is the expected strength of the team anyway. They’re also playing better defense than they did in ’25. They’re about to rattle off 20 wins in 28 games, or something.
