10 Sitcoms More Universally Loved Than ‘The Office’

Published

on

Gob (Will Arnett) and Michael (Jason Bateman) have words in Arrested Development.

There’s no doubt The Office is one of the most universally beloved sitcoms, not just of the 2000s, but of all time. The mockumentary style sitcom has an eclectic mix of characters, almost all of whom went on to huge projects once the show ended. It’s one of those shows that even if you never watched it, you know what it’s about. You’ve heard of the most talked about moments, scenes, and lines, and appreciate its cultural impact.

That said, there are other sitcoms that came both before The Office and after it that are arguably even more universally loved. They range from family sitcoms to ones about friends, and feature everything from absurdist humor to classic sarcasm and biting jokes. If you’re looking for a sitcom that’s as good or better than The Office, you have some great choices to consider.

Arrested Development wasn’t an instant hit. In fact, Fox canceled the satirical sitcom after just three seasons. Thankfully, Netflix swept in, as it has with other shows, and developed more episodes, spread out with the first set seven years later, followed by more episodes five years after that. The quirky show follows the dysfunctional Bluth family that’s trying to navigate running their business following the arrest of patriarch Oscar (Jeffrey Tambor).

With an eclectic mix of personalities and hilarious moments, Arrested Development is one of the most fun shows of the 2000s. It grew to develop a cult following and is now widely considered to be one of the best TV shows of all time. With a total of five seasons spread across 16 years, shows like 30 Rock and Community are widely considered to have been influenced by Arrested Development.

‘Friends’ (1994–2004)

You’ll probably come across someone who swears they don’t like Friends or claims they have never watched it. First, there is no way they haven’t seen episodes. And second, encourage them to watch, and there’s zero chance they won’t let out a chuckle or two. It’s almost impossible not to like Friends. The show solidified the 20-somethings’ friend dynamic in the big city. It is responsible for some of the most popular catchphrases from TV. And the characters are among the most recognized around the world.

You hear about people who say they learned to speak English from watching Friends. If you overhear someone say “we were on a break!,” “pivot!,” and “could you BE any more ridiculous?” you instantly know where the line is from. We quote Friends episodes to this day, and many even compare our own friends to the characters. The influence of the show is one thing, but its universal love, literally around the world, takes it to a whole other level.

‘Seinfeld’ (1989–1998)

Like Friends, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t watched at least a few episodes of Seinfeld, and even less likely to come across a person who doesn’t know some of the popular quotes from it. Some from the younger generation might know them, even say them, and not realize these phrases originated on the show. Think “master of your own domain,” “serenity now,” and “man hands.”

Seinfeld is famously a show about nothing, the daily doings of a group of friends as they discuss everything from the annoying neighbor to the horrible day they had at work, and their latest romantic partners. Yet the writing is so brilliant, so sharp, and the acting impeccable, that it delivers every single time. The sitcom remains a classic comedy show that’s still better than most new series. Seinfeld is a masterclass in how to make sitcom television, and a testament to the fact that having a silly hook or special story isn’t needed to make a show funny.

While there are moments in Everybody Loves Raymond that wouldn’t hold up today, the show is tough not to love. The sitcom centers around Raymond Barone (Ray Romano) and his family, as well as his invasive parents and jealous older brother. Raymond’s mother caters to his every whim, much to his wife Debra’s (Patricia Heaton) chagrin.

The clashing personalities of the characters on the show are what make it so perfect. Ray’s desire to keep the peace, desperate to avoid conflict, his mother Marie’s (Doris Roberts) passive-aggressive jabs at Debra, and his father Frank’s (Peter Boyle) overly masculine, rough-around-the-edges personality mix to make sitcom perfection.

‘Full House’ (1987–1995)

If there’s ever a show to watch with the family, it’s Full House. It’s a wholesome family sitcom to a T that hasn’t been replicated since. Every episode following single father Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) raising his three daughters with the help of his brother-in-law and best friend has a purpose, a moral, a lesson. And each one is delivered with sweet and innocent humor.

As corny as it is, there’s something so endearing about Full House. So much so that when a sequel series came out on Netflix decades later called Fuller House, fans fell in love with it again. Like a time capsule of the early ’90s, Full House will make you laugh, cry through its “very special” episodes, and feel warm and cozy inside.

What do you actually want from a story?
Eight questions in, this is the one that picks your fandom.

Your Fandom Is…
Advertisement

Four of the largest communities on the planet, and four completely
different reasons to belong to one. Here is yours, what it would give you, and the argument you
would be having within a week.

Wizarding World · Books 1997 · Films 2001

Harry Potter

You belong to the fandom that is really about comfort. Hogwarts
works on people because it is a place rather than a plot, and the pull is not the wizard war
so much as the corridors, the food, the weather and the sense that somebody is expecting
you.

  • You are drawn to belonging, which is why this fandom sorted itself into houses within
about five minutes and has never stopped.
  • This is the most social of the four, and the one most likely to know which type every
single person in your life would be.
  • The books are built to be reread rather than analysed, and rereading is exactly what you
    do with things you love.
  • The new HBO series is bringing the whole thing back one book at a time, which means the
arguments are about to start all over again.

Middle-earth · Books 1954 · Films 2001

Lord of the Rings

You belong to the deepest fandom on this list, the one where
somebody has always read further than you and is quietly delighted to say so. Middle-earth
rewards patience more than any other world in popular culture.

  • You like the sense that the story you are reading is only the visible part of something
enormous, which is precisely how Tolkien built it.
  • This fandom takes adaptation seriously to a degree that other fandoms find slightly
alarming, and it has good reasons for that.
  • Your favourite thing about the books is probably the bit that is not action at all,
which is the walking, the songs and the long goodbyes.
  • Nobody here thinks heroism belongs to the powerful, and the whole story exists to make
    that argument.

Star Wars · Lucasfilm · Since 1977

Star Wars

You belong to the loudest and largest tent of the four, the one
where three generations are all watching the same thing and none of them agree about any of
it. That disagreement is not a flaw in this fandom, it is the main activity.

  • You want something you can share with absolutely everybody, from a six year old to a
grandparent, and this is the only one on the list that really does that.
  • Nobody argues like Star Wars fans argue, and the argument has been running since roughly
1980 with no sign of resolution.
  • The pull here is sensory before it is narrative, since it is the sound design, the score
and the look of a used and dented galaxy.
  • You would be first in the queue, in costume, with strong opinions and a genuinely good
    time.

Star Trek · Paramount · Since 1966

Star Trek

You belong to the thinking fandom, the one that turns up for the
argument rather than the explosion. Trek has always been a series of ethical problems in
space, and the people who love it love being asked what they would have done.

  • You are an optimist in a way that is currently unfashionable, and this is the only major
franchise still willing to say the future might be better.
  • The best episodes are the ones where nobody fires anything, which is a sentence that
makes perfect sense to this fandom and to nobody else.
  • Starfleet Academy brought the franchise back to a classroom in 2026, which is
appropriate, because Trek has always been a bit of a seminar.
  • You would want the conversation afterwards more than the episode itself, and here you
will always find somebody willing to have it.

‘Cheers’ (1982–1993)

I don’t think I have ever met a single person who recalls Cheers and claims not to have liked the show. What’s not to like? The sitcom predominantly takes place in a local bar of the same name tended by owner Sam Malone (Ted Danson) and patronized by regulars and the occasional new customer. We get to know everyone from the occasionally employed accountant Norm (George Wendt), who is always greeted with a loud name call when he arrives, to the know-it-all mail carrier Cliff (John Ratzenberger), and the wisecracking waitress Carla (Rhea Perlman).

There’s something comforting about feeling like you’re hanging out at the bar with everyone, following Sam’s flip-flopping love life and womanizing ways, laughing at bartender Woody’s (Woody Harrelson) naivete, and enjoying psychiatrist Frasier Crane’s (Kelsey Grammer) rants. It’s the bar where everyone knows your name, and one that’s universally loved by all.

In a sea of cookie-cutter sitcoms, many of which serve as sequels, prequels, or spinoffs to older ones, Modern Family burst onto the scene as something fresh and new. And it worked. The series follows the unconventional Pritchett family that’s far from traditional. While Claire (Julie Bowen) is married with three kids, her father Jay (Ed O’Neill) is married to a much younger (and incredibly attractive) woman, Gloria (Sofia Vergara), who has a son and, eventually, a new baby with her aging husband. Meanwhile, Claire’s brother Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is married to Cam (Eric Stonestreet), and they have adopted a Vietnamese baby.

The family is a mix of personalities, from the uptight Claire to her goofy husband Phil (Ty Burrell), the effeminate Cam, rebellious daughter Haley (Sarah Hyland), and bookworm daughter Alex (Ariel Winter). There’s so much to love about Modern Family, from the clever writing that includes double entendres and misunderstandings in every episode, to the relatable family moments. It’s no surprise Modern Family won five Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Sweeping the Emmys and winning in all four major categories in 2020 for its final year, Schitt’s Creek is one of the most modern, endearing sitcoms. It began with an idea: what would happen to a wealthy family if they suddenly lost everything and were forced to move to a small town? This premise is explored as the Rose family ends up in the title town, a place patriarch Johnny (Eugene Levy) once bought as a joke.

What happens from there is a wonderfully positive story of acceptance, appreciation, and understanding about what really matters in life. But it’s delivered behind a humorous lens as each member of the family, including aging actress mother Moira (Catherine O’Hara) and spoiled rich adult kids David (Dan Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy), learns real values and hard work. Schitt’s Creek is also widely praised for its handling of LGBTQ+ themes. It’s a family sitcom that you can’t help but smile from ear to ear while watching, one that’s amazing from start to finish.

‘I Love Lucy’ (1951–1957)

Any ranking of the best sitcoms ever made will have I Love Lucy at or near the top of the list. Its comedic brilliance can never be touched by The Office or any other show. Lucille Ball had a knack for delivering comedy not just in dialogue, but in her movements, her facial expressions, every ounce of her being. Seeing her and her best friend Ethel (Vivian Vance) get up to antics while their husbands are at work never gets old.

You won’t find a single person on Earth who doesn’t like I Love Lucy or doesn’t at least appreciate the humor if they were to watch it now. Comedic actors today still praise Ball as an inspiration, as well as the show itself. I Love Lucy opened the door for shows like The Office, and it’s arguably the most universally loved show ever made.

The Golden Girls are so enduring that they even play a role in the Deadpool movies, the titular superhero claiming to be a huge fan of the series. The sitcom centers around three middle-aged women living in a Miami beach house; Dorothy’s (Bea Arthur) mother comes to live with them, too, when her retirement home burns down. As they navigate life now that their kids are grown, and they have gone through either divorce or the death of their partners, they lean on one another for support in this next chapter.

The Golden Girls was the precursor to any show about groups of female friends. And it’s also one of the funniest ever made. The jokes always hit because of both the writing and the unmatched delivery from every single one of the cast members. The show came together for seven masterpiece seasons that new generations today are starting to watch and appreciate for its relevance and sharp comedic timing.

Kourtney Kardashian Is a Sexy Vampire for Stepson’s Birthday

Published

on

GettyImages-1442394909-Kourtney-Kardashian-Is-a-Sexy-Vampire-for-Stepsons-Birthday.jpg

Kourtney Kardashian has released her inner vamp to mark her stepson Landon Barker’s 23rd birthday.

“Bite me,” the Poosh founder captioned a Tuesday, October 13, Instagram post that featured a string of sexy photos of herself snapped during a celebratory night out with her husband, Travis Barker, and their son.

Kourtney is stepmother to Landon and Alabama, 20, after marrying the Blink-182 drummer, 50, in 2022. The couple also share son Rocky, 2, while Kourtney is also mother to sons Mason, 16, and Reign, 11, and daughter Penelope, 14, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick.

The pics captured every angle of Kourtney in a stunning low-cut lace ensemble, which she teamed with a long sheer black shirt that hung off her arms. Her look popped thanks to a deep red lip that dripped with faux blood at one side. A black choker, wavy hair extensions and dark nails completed the reality TV star’s vampire transformation.

One sweet snap in the mix also showed Kourtney posing alongside Travis and Landon, who each sported their own all-black outfits complemented with bloodied lips. Landon’s homemade birthday cake was also revealed, topped with black icing that read, “Nobody likes you when you’re 23.”

The text served as a reference to the lyrics of Blink-182’s hit 1999 single “What’s My Age Again?” that mirrors the exact phrasing.

Landon showed his approval of Kourtney’s look and public tribute to his birthday, commenting on the post, “Love you!” which sparked her response, “Love u more.” Kourtney’s sister, Khloe Kardashian, also approved of the post, commenting “Yessssss,” while Travis staked his claim by commenting, “Mrs. Barker.”

Fans also threw their support Kourtney’s way, with one person writing, “THE HOTTEST KARDASH!” and another commenting, “Spooky season has found its leading lady.”

The family celebration comes just days after Kourtney was seen discussing her bond with Landon during the season 8 premiere of The Kardashians. Amid her loving confessional, which aired on Thursday, October 8, Kourtney was interrupted by little Rocky.

The toddler, who is largely kept out of the spotlight, appeared on camera in his father’s arms. “Ah, hi!” Kourtney said to the duo at the time. “I was just talking about Landon.”

Travis Kelce ‘Likes’ Video of Shane Gillis’ SNL Monologue

Published

on

Shane Gillis seems to have a supporter in Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce amid the fallout from his recent — and controversial — Saturday Night Live monologue.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end liked a video of the monologue on Instagram, which featured a joke disparaging women at the gym.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” Gillis, 38, said at the start of the Saturday, October 10 episode. “Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe [it]. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. You’ve seen the shorts? They’re those neon, like, artificial bait-colored [shorts], and the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole. And don’t look! You’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look because they are filming. I’m in the background of about 10 TikToks right now.”

A source close to Kelce, 37, downplayed the social media interaction, telling Page Six that “he’s always been a massive fan of the show and he was supporting a friend.” Us has reached out to Kelce for comment.

Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson were not spared from Shane Gillis’ opening monologue at the 2025 ESPY Awards. The comedian, 37, took the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 16, and poked fun at the couple’s 48-year age gap after making a joke about Shohei Ohtani‘s former interpreter’s gambling scandal. […]

The comedian and the pro athlete have publicly supported each other before. In June, Gillis appeared at Kelce’s annual Tight End University, hosted alongside fellow tight ends George Kittle and Greg Olsen.

While Kelce has not commented publicly about the controversial joke, others have spoken out since the Saturday, October 10, episode. Schitt’s Creek alum Dan Levy blasted Gillis in a scathing Instagram video the following day.

“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores,” Levy, 43, said on Sunday, October 11. “It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There’s a difference there.”

He added that he has “seen more men’s nipples at the gym than I’ve ever seen women showing their bodies off.”

Levy continued, “But I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it’s complacency that has created the environment [in] which women are sexually assaulted, and it’s a conversation as opposed to a crime.”

Shane Gillis made it clear that he had nothing to do with the DeShaun Watson massage joke at the 2025 ESPYs. While hosting the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 16, Gillis, 37, initially said he wanted to “skip that joke” about Watson, 29, before reluctantly mentioning it on stage. “Alright, bring it […]

“This is not a women’s issue,” he concluded. “This is an everybody issue, because the more that men objectify women in the media, the more that other men see them as objects and treat them as objects. They are not objects. They are superior human beings to men, OK? And I’m sorry if this gets me in trouble with the internet, but f***.”

Gillis’ monologue wasn’t the only controversial moment in the most recent SNL episode. The comedian also accidentally swore during a sketch parodying Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs & Ham,” unceremoniously saying “f***” before awkwardly replying with an, “Oh, geeze.”

Gillis burst out laughing at the time, holding his arm up as a way of silently apologizing to the crowd. He also apologized at the end of the show.

Maureen Kelly of tarte Shares Her Slumber Party Essentials and the Morning-After Espresso Shot for Sleepy Eyes

Sleep tight! tarte founder and CEO Maureen Kelly is here to help you get a good night’s sleep or at least look like you did.

Kelly, who created a beauty line loved by Shay Mitchell, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kourtney Kardashian, teamed up with lifestyle brand Roller Rabbit, whose designs have been worn by Angelina Jolie, Bella Hadid, and Reese Witherspoon, for the ultimate slumber party collaboration, complete with makeup and matching pajamas.

tarte x Roller Rabbit

“The best girls’ nights are all about the little rituals you never really grow out of, doing your makeup together, ordering your favorite food, putting on a movie, and staying up way too late talking. … That’s the spirit behind tarte x Roller Rabbit, celebrating those girls’ nights, and the joy of girlhood together,” she tells ET.

While cozy is the dress code, there’s no reason to skip the glam.

“Wear the shimmer and glossy lip for a girls’ night on the couch. Getting ready can be the event. You never age out of playing with makeup, and you never outgrow a great sleepover,” she shares.

tarte x Roller Rabbit

As for what’s in Kelly’s overnight bag? The entrepreneur has a few tried-and-true favorites.

“My biggest tip is not to overcomplicate it. Start with good skin prep, then focus on a few products that make you feel your best. For me, that’s a little shape tape, some blush on the cheeks to bring my face to life, mascara, and a good lip. … Don’t worry about making it perfect. Some of the best looks happen when you’re just getting ready with your girlfriends and trying out each other’s products and routines as you go.”

tarte x Roller Rabbit

Swapping beauty secrets is part of the fun, but some products call for a more personal touch.

“We have four shape tape options because you can get the shade right and still need a different formula. The OG is for oily or combination skin and gives you full coverage with a matte finish. The creamy has a built-in eye cream, so you get that coverage with extra hydration. The stick is your swipe-and-go option for blurring and spot coverage, and radiant gives you medium coverage with more glow, so your skin still shines through.”

And once the night winds down, there’s one step she’ll never skip.

tarte x Roller Rabbit

“Take your makeup off! I love that our tubing mascara comes off with just warm water because at the end of a long day, nobody wants another project. Then moisturize, put your phone down, and give yourself permission to be done for the night. I need that reminder too,” she spills.

Even if you stay up past your bedtime, there’s still a way to look bright-eyed the next morning.

tarte cosmetics

“More tired doesn’t have to mean more makeup. A little product makes a big difference. I swear by the dot-and-dash method with shape tape for an instant eye lift. Place a dot at the inner corner to brighten and a little dash at the outer corner and blend upward for a lifted look. You don’t need that big triangle of concealer under your eyes. … Just one swipe makes you look like you had 8 hours of sleep. I always say it’s like an espresso shot for your under-eyes.”

Concealer might act like caffeine for dark circles, but an actual pick-me-up calls for something else.

“FINSUUL is energy, focus and hydration in one stick, because my morning routine needs to multitask as much as I do and coffee can’t keep up.”

RJ Mitte’s Final Texts Expose a Long Hollywood Struggle

Published

on

RJ Mitte at World Premiere Of Apple TV+'S 'Pluribus'

RJ Mitte spent years fighting for the chance to prove that his cerebral palsy did not define the roles he could play.

Behind the success of “Breaking Bad,” the actor privately questioned Hollywood’s reluctance to give disabled performers meaningful opportunities, even as he kept auditioning and developing his own projects.

Messages that now reveal his frustrations offer a painful look at a career shaped by persistence, disappointment, and a determination to change an industry he believed overlooked his talent.

RJ Mitte Challenged Hollywood’s Casting Practices

RJ Mitte’s frustration with Hollywood was rooted in a recurring problem: casting professionals often treated disability as a reason to exclude him from roles that had not been written specifically for disabled characters.

In an April 2017 private message to a longtime friend obtained by the Daily Mail, he described the uncomfortable reactions he encountered when he questioned that approach.

“When I go for a part, they sometimes tell me that it’s not a character with a disability, and I’m like why can’t the character be disabled?” he wrote.

Mitte believed a character could have cerebral palsy without the entire storyline revolving around the condition.

His role as Walter White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston’s chemistry teacher turned drug manufacturer on AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” had demonstrated his ability to play a character whose life extended beyond his disability.

Yet the show’s success did not bring the steady stream of opportunities he had hoped for. “I can do any role, but some of [the casting agents and directors] are a**h****s who won’t even look at me,” he wrote in another 2017 message.

He kept auditioning, but a television pilot he worked on didn’t move forward. “Worked on a pilot that didn’t go, a few months ago. Brutal biz,” he wrote that December.

Mitte Struggled To Find Consistent Work

The difficulty securing roles also affected RJ Mitte’s ability to plan for his future. After completing an independent film project in Sydney, Australia, he explained in February 2019 that he hoped to find more work in the United States.

The overseas project had been enjoyable, but it did not guarantee another opportunity at home. “I did a job in Sydney, and it was fun,” the 34-year-old wrote.

He added, “But it’s a film not going to be here, it’s Australian, I hope I can find stuff here. I would like to work enough to keep my [health] insurance. Pain in the ass lol.”

When the coronavirus pandemic disrupted the entertainment industry in 2020, Mitte continued pursuing projects, including work in Canada and voice acting. He also recognized that completing projects was not enough if casting professionals forgot he was available.

“I’ve got to figure out more work,” he wrote in June 2020, adding, “I need to keep myself relevant lol.” He later offered to do video interviews and other promotional opportunities, explaining, “I just need to remind people to book me.”

By March 2021, Mitte believed disabled actors were facing additional barriers because of assumptions about their health and insurability during the pandemic.

“Gotta convince people that I’m not going to die of Covid. There’s a backlash about people with disabilities, they think that we can’t be insured or that we are going to die in the middle of a scene, its bullshit,” he wrote.

Mitte’s concerns extended beyond finding work for himself. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at three, he became an advocate for disabled performers, serving as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s.

In 2016, he publicly called for television to portray disabled people in ordinary, varied roles rather than limiting them to stories about their conditions.

“I would love to switch on my TV and see a disabled person talking about something they are genuinely interested in or acting out a part that doesn’t just focus on their impairment,” the star said.

His private messages showed that he remained dissatisfied with the scripts he received. In April 2022, he told his friend that some offered little more than a token appearance.

“Looking for interesting stuff to do, getting a lot of scripts where I would be a prop and they don’t want to give any depth, 3 lines if that,” he wrote. “I’m writing my own s**t now.”

Four months later, he complained that they were mainly offering him animation work. By July 2025, however, he was considering “Dancing with the Stars” as a possible platform to challenge assumptions about cerebral palsy, provided the experience preserved his dignity.

Mitte’s death also disrupted production of “Forgotten Outlaw,” a Western in which he was cast as the lead.

TMZ reported that the film had been placed on hold, with director Nik Tizekker planning to continue the project in the late actor’s honor.

Tizekker told the outlet that the film was in pre-production and that Mitte had been helping the team secure additional financing before his death. The director considered the Hollywood star a strong fit for the central role because of his mindset and physical resemblance to the person he was set to portray.

Although the production would need to find another leading actor, Tizekker said he intended to move forward with the movie rather than abandon it.

Mitte had also been collaborating with Tizekker on “Like It Was Yesterday,” a limited series exploring near-death experiences. The actor had filmed scenes with Catherine Carlen, who played his mother in the project.

The series was about half complete before Mitte’s death. Tizekker hoped to finish and release it if the necessary funding could be secured.

Taylor Sheridan’s No. 1 ‘Yellowstone’ Replacement Officially Surges on Streaming

Published

on

xsieccxd8lkcaluw0wwwbw5cwsv-2.jpg

Since Taylor Sheridan‘s hit neo-Western Yellowstone premiered in 2018, many attempts to create a story of that magnitude have been made, but none has matched its success. Almost every streaming service has tried to make a Yellowstone version, from sweeping romances in Ransom Canyon to family feuds with sci-fi twists in Outer Range. Only recently has a TV show captured the Yellowstone spirit, and it has become a streaming favorite.

At 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, the drama is a certified hit in its own right. Viewers also rated it favorably, giving it an 85% score. Part of that success is that Dutton Ranch is set in the Yellowstone universe and directly continues the story. Critics agreed that “Dutton Ranch takes what its predecessor perfected and carries the mantle well in a new town with the same well-worn trappings, perfectly dusted and ripe for entertaining.”

But the Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser-led series isn’t the first direct sequel to Yellowstone, with Marshals preceding it a few months earlier. However, critics and viewers seemed to agree that Marshals didn’t feel like a perfect continuation of Yellowstone, since it lacked the grit and expansive storytelling that were Yellowstone‘s hallmarks. Dutton Ranch, by contrast, features ranching, family feuds, and violence. However, both shows stream on the same platform, and with Marshals‘ return for a new season, Dutton Ranch has also seen renewed interest and has been among the most-watched shows on Paramount+ over the last week, peaking at number 7 according to FlixPatrol’s rankings. It’s a decent performance for a show that’s not airing new episodes, but once the new season comes out, Dutton Ranch will reclaim its glory from earlier this year.

Mayor of Kingstown

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

Will ‘Dutton Ranch’ Return for Season 2?

Dutton Ranch is officially returning for a second season on Paramount+ following a record-breaking debut. Filming for Season 2 is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with the writers’ room actively developing scripts throughout the remainder of 2026. While a definitive premiere date hasn’t been announced, a late 2027 premiere date is more likely. Behind the scenes, the series is undergoing a major creative shift. Benjamin Cavell, the creator of SEAL Team, takes over as showrunner from Chad Feehan, who exited the series due to creative differences. Plot details remain tightly under wraps, but the season is expected to immediately address the finale’s dramatic cliffhangers, focusing on tense cartel conflicts and the mission to rescue Carter (Finn Little) from his kidnappers. Meanwhile, Ed Harris will also have a larger role after calling out the show for him being underutilized in Season 1.

Below Deck’s Gael Recalls Complicated Time Before Nathan’s Arrest

Published

Below Deck Med's Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher Welcome Baby No. 1

Below Deck Med‘s Gael Cameron made a rare comment about the complicated period in her life before Nathan Gallagher‘s arrest.

“And there goes the close of another season of Med… and another chapter of life 🤍,” Gael wrote via Instagram on Thursday, October 8.

Gael noted that most of her experience wasn’t shown on camera.

“You didn’t get to see much of my time in Croatia. It wasn’t the easiest chapter of my life, and there’s still so much left to be said about that time,” she wrote. “But I’d love to share a bit of the good you guys didn’t get to see.”

Below Deck couples haven’t had long lasting success — and Mediterranean‘s Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher aren’t the exception. The couple, who met on season 9, got off to a rocky start as Gael navigated a breakup from an offscreen boyfriend. Nathan, meanwhile, was clear about his immediate attraction to Gael, which blossomed as they […]

The reality star recalled the difficult time in her life, writing, “I moved away with a new baby and [was] still living in survival mode. But honestly? I think I did okay. I got to explore one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been while figuring out my new life as a mother, and I got to share my love for the unfamiliar with my new little best friend.”

Gael was grateful to have support from her loved ones. “For almost three of the six weeks we were there, my best friend flew over to be with us,” she continued. “With an extra set of hands and a bit of care I stopped just surviving and moments there I got to feel like myself again.”

She continued: “I just wish I had more photos with this incredible cast. And huge props to everyone, cast and crew, in front of the camera and behind it. I get to see how hard you all work and how much heart and soul goes into what you do.”

Despite the challenges, Gael was determined to take away something from her time in Croatia.

“Leaving my support system at home wasn’t the plan, but I’m so grateful for the experience,” she concluded. “Croatia showed me the strength I have as a mother and as a woman: no matter how challenging the circumstances, I will survive. And not only that, I’ll always find the pockets of joy, cause life is a beautiful thing and there is always light as long as you keep looking for it xx.”

As viewers know, Gael spent most of her time in season 11 on land with her and Nathan’s infant son, Kayden. Nathan, for his part, would visit the pair at their home when there wasn’t a charter on board.

News broke in August, however, that Nathan was arrested on domestic violence charges in Australia in December 2025. Nathan was charged with “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing] a person without consent and common assault” following an alleged incident with an unnamed victim.

A police memo revealed that Nathan was eventually granted conditional bail. He was later convicted on three counts of domestic violence after failing to appear in court. Us also confirmed that Nathan is the subject of an Apprehended Violence Application that was filed on behalf of Gael in New South Wales.

No, I didn’t,” she wrote via Instagram on Saturday, September 12. “I lost myself, I lost my spark. I didn’t handle it.” Gael continued: “My best friend did. She sat with me, let […]

“I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes, and I will take responsibility for my own actions,” Nathan told Rolling Stone in a statement in August. “I will not accept being portrayed solely through one account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it. I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context.”

In his statement, Nathan revealed he and Gael had split.

“There are also other matters surrounding the relationship that I have never discussed publicly,” he claimed. “My priority is being recognized as his father, establishing a relationship with him and ultimately finding a way for both of us to move forward and coparent peacefully.”

Us has since confirmed that Bravo fired Nathan in light of his domestic violence arrest.

“Bravo does not plan on working with Nathan in the future,” a rep for the network noted in a statement.

Love you ❤️,” Crawford, 60, wrote via Instagram on July 2. Alongside her […]

A cause of death has yet to be revealed at the time of publication, pending an ongoing investigation amid authorities’ suspicions of an alleged overdose. Presley and his family had been candid about the model’s substance abuse struggles prior to his death.

“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” Kaia, 25, told Vogue in August of her brother’s addiction battle. “I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”

Presley’s family, who reportedly had his remains cremated, have since received support from  their famous friends.

“I don’t think we’re even in the position of even being able to talk about it,” George Clooney, Rande’s close friend and Casamigos business partner, told Entertainment Tonight on Friday, October 9.  “Quite honestly, it’s one of the most devastating things that’s happened to our family, and their family.”

CHAM Founder Christy Cham Shares How ’90s Supermodels Inspired Her Better-Than-Basics Line

CHAM Founder Christy Cham Shares How '90s Supermodels Inspired Her Better-Than-Basics Line

Not so basic! CHAM founder Christy Cham is giving everyday staples a serious upgrade with her better-than-basics line of long sleeves, tees, dresses, skirts, pants, cardigans, and more, already worn by Ariana Grande and Khloé Kardashian.

Before launching in 2023, Cham worked as a costume designer on film sets with directors including Martin Scorsese, giving her a behind-the-scenes look at the power of a good outfit.

CHAM/Instagram

“There was a gap in the market for high end basics and something that was giving you more than just a t-shirt, but not a blouse,” she tells ET.

When dreaming up the pieces she wanted in her own closet, Cham turned to Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, and other style muses, even naming designs after them.

“Those ’90s icons are the people who inspired me most when I first started CHAM. The simplicity of the ’90s where the most important thing was fit and fabric is what I’ve always loved,” she explains.

CHAM/Instagram

Naturally, those elements became the foundation of the brand, starting with its proprietary fabric made to feel like a second skin.

“Working in costume design taught me that the ultimate goal is to make someone feel confident in what they’re wearing. … I also learned that everything is amplified on camera. A fabric can read differently, colors can appear brighter, and even a small fit issue can suddenly look messy on screen,” she notes.

“I wanted something sheer, but not too sheer; stretchy, but that would still hold you in, and something that looked high-end and not just like workout material.”

CHAM/Instagram

The silhouettes have a few tricks up their sleeves too, with keyhole necklines, slits, off-the-shoulder styles, cutouts, mini lengths, and more, adding a little something extra to everyday staples.

“When fitting actors, everything had to be incredibly precise. We learned all these little strategies with proportion and fit to create the illusion of a longer torso, slimmer arms, or a more flattering shape. It made me a perfectionist about fit, proportion, and fabric, and really taught me how much the right clothing can transform the way someone looks, and more importantly, how they feel.”

That attention to detail also carries over to the color palette, with shades of red, brown, black, cream, navy, orange, and green, all chosen to make getting dressed that much easier.

Hagop Kalaidjian/@hagop

“I choose colors that work well together so they can be easily mixed and matched. I keep the tones softer and focus on flattering undertones, while offering enough variety that everyone can find a color they naturally feel good in,” she says.

And because what’s underneath counts too, the fashion expert took the label one layer deeper by launching undergarments, which she celebrated at Body Shop in West Hollywood, California, on Oct. 3.

“I wanted to create something that was simple, but still sexy that makes a woman feel her best without showing under tight or sheer clothing.”

CHAM/Instagram

For anyone looking to make their basics a little less basic, CHAM also offers a wide variety of charms for a playful, personal touch.

“I’ve always gravitated toward cute accessories that make an outfit feel a little less serious and more fun. It feels very in line with fashion right now and the whole whimsymaxxing idea. I’m constantly clipping charms onto skirts, tops, or bags.”

John Cena Says Peacemaker Is Taking a Backseat in the DCU

John Cena Says Peacemaker Is Taking a Backseat in the DCU

John Cena may not be putting on the Peacemaker helmet again anytime soon, but the actor appears perfectly comfortable waiting for James Gunn to call his number.

During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz, Cena opened up about his future as Christopher Smith following the second season of Peacemaker and where the character currently fits within Gunn and Peter Safran’s expanding DC Universe.

When asked whether he had worn the Peacemaker helmet since finishing the second season, Cena gave a straightforward answer: “No.”

That doesn’t mean Cena is walking away from the character. The actor made it clear that he remains committed to Gunn and is willing to return whenever the DC Studios co-CEO needs him.

Cena explained that he has already had an opportunity to play a character who was relatively unknown to mainstream audiences and believes it is now important for Gunn to devote his attention to some of DC’s biggest characters.

“I got to step back.”

Cena pointed to characters such as Superman as examples of the massive pieces Gunn is currently responsible for establishing within the new DCU.

The comments come as Gunn continues building an interconnected universe across film and television. David Corenswet’s Superman has become one of the central figures of the franchise, while projects involving Batman, Wonder Woman and several other major DC characters remain in various stages of development.

Cena’s comments shouldn’t necessarily be interpreted as the end of Peacemaker.

The second season left Christopher Smith’s story open for continuation, and Gunn has previously avoided giving fans a definitive answer about exactly when Peacemaker or the other members of the 11th Street Kids will return.

For now, Cena appears content to wait.

After helping turn one of DC’s more obscure characters into a major live-action fan favorite, Peacemaker may simply be taking a temporary backseat while Gunn continues putting the larger pieces of the DCU into place.
