M.I.A. Fired From Kid Cudi Tour After ‘Offensive’ Onstage Rant

M.I.A. is no longer part of Kid Cudi’s “Rebel Ragers Tour” following a controversial onstage moment that quickly sparked backlash. The “Paper Planes” artist was removed from the lineup after delivering a politically charged monologue during a tour stop in Dallas, where she spoke about immigration and her political views, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd.

During the performance, M.I.A. addressed the audience directly, saying, “I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter,” before being met with boos.

She also claimed she couldn’t perform her 2010 track “Illygirl,” which centers on the spirit of migrants and immigrants, suggesting that “some of you could be in the audience.” Clips from the moment quickly circulated online, prompting strong reactions from fans.

Shortly after the footage went viral, Kid Cudi addressed the situation and confirmed M.I.A.’s removal from the tour. “TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A. is no longer on this tour,” he wrote on Instagram. “I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started the tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood.”

He continued, “After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants. This, to me, is very disappointing, and I won’t have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upset my fanbase. Thank you for understanding.”

M.I.A. had been scheduled as one of the opening acts on the 33-date tour, alongside Big Boi, who remains on the lineup. Her exit marks a sudden shift for the tour as it continues without her.

M.I.A. Fires Back After Viral Backlash, Defends Her Message

Following the backlash, M.I.A. took to X to respond directly to a viral post criticizing her onstage comments, and she didn’t hold back. The post claimed the crowd turned on her after she spoke about politics and immigration, but M.I.A. pushed back, arguing her words were being taken out of context.

“I WROTE ‘ILLYGIRL’ ON THE ‘MAYA LP,’ A SONG FROM 2010,” she wrote. “I STARTED THIS INTRO TO THE SONG WITH THE STATEMENT SAYING I’M ILLEGAL, AND I SAID MY TEAM HASN’T GOTTEN VISAS YET. THEN PLAYED A SONG THAT HAD LYRICS SAYING ‘F-CK THE LAW’, WHICH I STILL BELIEVE, IF THE LAW IS UNJUST F-CK IT.”

She went on to accuse critics of misrepresenting her message. “DO NOT GASLIGHT MY WORDS. THAT IS THE WORK OF SATAN,” she exclaimed, also pointing to her long history of addressing immigration and identity in her music, saying she had been tackling these issues long before they became mainstream talking points.

“I WROTE ‘BORDERS’ AND ‘ILLYGIRL’ AND ‘PAPER PLANES’ BEFORE YOU THOUGHT IMMIGRANT RIGHTS WERE COOL,” she continued. “I’VE HAD THESE BATTLES BY MYSELF WITHOUT THE HELP OF MILLIONS OF FANS BACKING ME. I DON’T NEED THIS VIRTUE SIGNAL ERA TO ALL OF A SUDDEN ERASE AN ENTIRE LIFE I’VE LED.”

She ended her message with a broader reflection on faith and justice. “JESUS WAS AN IMMIGRANT AND A REBEL. I HAVE NO APOLOGY FOR THE JUDGMENTAL, THE WICKED, AND THE IGNORANT,” she continued in her fiery rant. “JESUS RETURNS TO LEAD THE WORLD JUSTLY BECAUSE THERE IS INJUSTICE IN THIS WORLD. IM PROUD OF THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR IT EVERYDAY. GOD BLESS YOU.”

“GO LISTEN TO M.I.7,” she concluded.

M.I.A., whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, first rose to fame with her 2005 debut Arular and became known for her progressive stance early in her career. In recent years, however, she has taken a different direction, publicly aligning herself with conservative voices and speaking out on a range of political topics. In 2024, she voiced support for Donald Trump and made additional comments about political figures and movements that have drawn attention.

Despite the backlash, M.I.A. has previously addressed criticism head-on. “Every single person who’s ever criticized me or thrown mud at my name, they’re doing it out of jealousy or some other thing that’s making them do that,” she said in a past interview.

She has also pushed back on being labeled politically, saying, “I’ve been around long enough to see what the left was 20 and 30 years ago and what the left is now, and I’ve seen the left get hijacked.”

Dolly Parton Cancels Residency Amid Health Issues

Dolly Parton at Los Angeles premiere of 'Joyful Noise'

Dolly Parton was forced to make the difficult decision of postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency in October 2025. This came as the global superstar had been plagued with health issues. Now, several months later, the 80-year-old “Jolene” singer has canceled the engagement.

Parton took to her official social media channels on May 4 to post a more than five-minute-long video. She began, “Well, hey there, it’s Dolly, and I’m here to give you an update on a few things going on in my life.”

From there, she shared that the news was “concerning [her] health, before saying, “I have some good news and a little bad news. But the good news is I’m responding really well to meds and treatments, and I’m improving every day.”

Regarding the “bad news,” Parton stated that “it’s gonna take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little swimmy-headed, as my grandma used to say.”

The music icon went on to mention the demands of her show, the heels and heavy wardrobe, before comparing her health to a classic car that “can better than ever,” after being “restored.”

As the video continued, the singer spoke candidly about her health. According to her, “I’ve told you before that I’ve always had problems with my kidney stones. Lord, they dig more stones out of me a year than the rock quarry in Rockwood, Tenn. But seriously, my immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past couple of years, and they’re working real hard on rebuilding their strength.”

After that, she admitted that her humor in the video was an attempt to remain positive. Parton said, “Anyway, I know I’m being silly, but I’m just tryin’ to keep everything light and airy.”

Later, Parton stated that she was “truly sorry” to those who had tickets to the Las Vegas residency and hoped they could make it to New York to see her upcoming musical.

Parton has experienced quite a bit over the last few years in addition to her health concerns. Notably, her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, passed away in March 2025. Because of this, she’s received a ton of support from her fans following the announcement that she has canceled her Las Vegas residency.

One person said on X, “The stage can wait, take care of your health, and everything else will take care of itself. Bless you.” Someone else wrote, “You are the only person in the world who could turn medical news into something sweet and hilarious. God bless you, Dolly.”

A different social media user stated, “Always prioritize your health first, Dolly! Never feel bad for that, we love you!”

Lastly, another fan wrote, “Sending you all the love and hugs I can muster and praying for a complete healing for you, my dear!”

Elsewhere in Parton’s May 2026 video, she mentioned her late husband, noting the support she’s received and how difficult life has been without him.

She said, “A lot of you have been concerned about me and Carl, and you were so great about that. But after going through a year of firsts, I mean the holidays, and especially our wedding anniversary, and the date of his death, March. 3, that was hard for me.”

Parton went on, “But I will always love him, and I will always miss him, but you would be surprised how much your love and concern meant to me during that time. Lord, my house and my porch looked like the botanical gardens….from the bottom of my heart I thank you; you have been a big part of my healing.”

Parton’s story will soon be told on the Broadway stage in the production “Dolly: A True Original Musical.” The show premiered in Nashville in the summer of 2025. Now, it’s expected to open on the Big White Way either later in 2026 or early in 2027.

According to the show’s official website, three actresses portray Parton across three periods of her life. They are: Katie Rose Clarke, Carrie St. Louis, and Quinn Titcomb. The show is being directed by Bartlett Sher.

The Sci-Fi Thriller That Tried To Save The All-Time Manliest Franchise

The Sci-Fi Thriller That Tried To Save The All-Time Manliest Franchise

By Joshua Tyler
| Published

Predators wants to be the sequel that John McTiernan’s 1987 movie Predator deserved, and while it’s better than many of the earlier sequels it got, I’m not sure that’s saying much. After Predator 2 and the AvP movies, the bar was pretty low.

Still, give director Nimrod Antal’s 2010 take on the franchise some credit: It tries. It really does. That’s more than you can say for some prior efforts. There’s an obvious affection for the iconic alien hunters in the material, and even more affection for the original film, which they’re aiming to be a direct successor to. It’s enough to make it worth watching, but at the time, it was not as much as this franchise’s audience deserved.

Unlike all the other attempts at resurrecting Predator, this one at least had a good idea for a story. It starts with an unconscious man, free-falling from a great height. He awakens in mid-air and starts screaming.

It’s a genius way to start a movie, or it would be, if this scene were even remotely scary. The camera falls with him, plummeting at an insane pace through whipping wind and dizzying heights. This scene should be terrifying. Or if it isn’t terrifying, it should at least be thrilling. It is neither, and it’s just the first of many scenes that seem like they should really work on paper, but somehow, when they actually end up on screen, don’t.

Part of the reason the original Predator is so good is that it’s flat out scary. It’s a horror movie more than an action movie, and though you never get to know the characters in it intimately, you’re rooting for them to survive.

It’s a brutal film, full of gore and violence, which only serves to heighten the thing’s gritty reality. You believe that Dutch and his crew are being stalked by some sort of ultimate, unstoppable killing machine, and it’s utterly terrifying. You care about Dutch not because he has a lot of heartfelt talks with his soldiers, but because he’s simply that badass. Predators tries desperately to duplicate all of that and can’t.

Topher Grace, Walton Goggins, and Adrien Brody in Predators

There’s not a single edge-of-your-seat moment anywhere in Predators. It’s not scary. Not even a little. It never gets any better than that opening freefall: crazy things keep happening on screen, things which seem like they should be thrilling, but somehow never are.

Antal doesn’t really seem to have a knack for this sort of storytelling. He points his camera at what’s happening, but he’s either incapable or uninterested in doing anything to build tension.

It’s obvious from the beginning what’s going to happen. Take the plot of the original Predator, add a few more aliens, and make the human characters less sympathetic, and you have Predators.

On paper, it shouldn’t be this similar. We’re told repeatedly throughout the film that this plot is different. The original movie was about special forces soldiers dropped into a jungle where they encounter a lone Predator. This one is about a group of killers, kidnapped and dropped on an alien planet where they’re hunted for sport.

But aside from the occasional bout of mania, the killers act pretty much like any military unit, and aside from a single scene in which we see a bunch of weird moons, the alien planet looks exactly like that same Earth jungle we saw Dutch running around in back in 1987.

Predators contains more than one Predator, and that should be different. Except we rarely see more than two of them on screen at any time. Most of the movie’s battles pit a single Predator against a single human.

Predators sets out to pay homage to the original movie by echoing it, but instead it mostly ends up duplicating it. It’s a well-made film, but you won’t be thrilled by it, excited by it, or scared by it. Adrien Brody is a surprisingly convincing badass, and the sets are actual constructs rather than just a lame explosion of CGI. That’s nice, but a lot of it feels dated in a way the original 80s movie still doesn’t.

In spite of these issues, if you’re a Predator fan, if you missed it the first time around, I’d recommend streaming Predators. A brief appearance by Laurence Fishburne gives the movie enough life to keep you interested, and even if it’s not shot in a way that’s all that exciting, the movie has a few good ideas.

Predator versus Samurai? It’s every sci-fi fan’s dream. You’ll see it, enjoy it, and forget about it. Good enough.

Predators is currently available to stream on Hulu.

Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore Love This $12 Face Wash

Two of Hollywood’s most enduring leading ladies have a beauty secret in common — and it’s not a $300 serum or some bespoke facialist on speed dial. Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore both reach for the same humble drugstore staple when packing for a flight. The cleanser sitting in their suitcases? Plain old Cetaphil, the bottle your dermatologist probably recommended back in the ’90s and is still recommending today. That pump bottle is famous to anyone who has ever battled blemishes or irritation, and while the 16-oz size is usually a reasonable $17, it’s currently discounted to $12 during Amazon’s Summer Beauty Event.

Back in 2019, Witherspoon revealed to Refinery29 that the budget-friendly product is one of her favorites. I use the face wash, and I travel with it,” she told the publication. That same year, Moore also explained why this classic earned permanent space in her toiletry kit in a Vogue Beauty Secrets video. “I travel a lot, so I need something I can get kind of all over the world. I use a pretty standard face wash, Cetaphil,” she told the camera, adding that she lathers up with an exfoliating washcloth for optimal results.

Get the Cetaphil Face Wash for $12 (originally $17) at Amazon! Please note, prices are accurate at the date of publication but are subject to change.

The genius of two A-listers cosigning a $12 cleanser is that it confirms what good skin tells us anyway: consistency beats novelty. Witherspoon and Moore could rinse their faces with literal liquid gold if they wanted. Instead, they’re loyal to a fragrance-free formula that won’t throw a tantrum after a red-eye, a long shoot day or a week of recycled hotel-room air. That’s the kind of low-drama beauty pick that ages well, just like its famous fans.

Amazon’s Prime Day and Black Friday sales are elite, but if you’re on the hunt for skincare and makeup buys, the Summer Beauty Event is where it’s at. The annual two-week sale is running now through Sunday, May 10, slashing prices on top-tier products. The best part is that so many celebrity-loved favorites are also […]

Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Cleanser earned its dermatologist-recommended reputation by doing one thing exceptionally well: cleaning your face without wrecking it. The hypoallergenic formula skips parabens and sulfates, which is part of why sensitive, reactive and mature skin types tolerate it so beautifully. It’s also soap-free, so it won’t leave that tight, squeaky feeling that signals you’ve just stripped your moisture barrier into next week. Instead, it reinforces that barrier and balances the skin while still delivering a deep clean. Translation: makeup, sunscreen and the day’s grime go down the drain. Your glow stays put.

Aside from getting two very glamorous endorsements, the tried-and-true formula has been hyped up by Amazon shoppers, too. It’s currently rated 4.7 stars on the site, and over 30k bottles have been purchased in the past month — a number that only solidifies its cult status.

“My favorite facial cleanser ever!” one reviewer wrote. “It left my skin feeling clean and soft after one use, and I’m hooked. I use this every morning and every night before bed. No more breakouts and cleans off makeup and residue from the day!

“One bottle has lasted me over a year,” said another happy customer, who called the wash a “gentle, affordable” option. “I have oily, acne-prone skin, and since using this, I’ve gotten multiple compliments on my skin. Buy this!!!!”

If your skincare shelf is overdue for an edit, swapping in this classic feels less like a downgrade and more like a smart return to basics — something your favorite leading ladies have known for years. Whether you toss it in your weekender bag or keep it easily accessible on your bathroom counter, the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser plays nicely with retinols and acids and currently costs less than a decent glass of wine.

Drugstore find, celebrity-approved and on sale? That’s a triple word score in beauty lover terms! Grab a bottle now!

1st Look at OG RHONY Stars’ E! Show

Golden Life Trailer Offers 1st Look at OG RHONY Stars New Show LuAnn de Lesseps Dorinda Medley Sonja Morgan

The OG Real Housewives of New York City stars are ready for their second act — and, yes, there will be fighting involved.

Fans got a first look at Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Kelly Bensimon in the debut Golden Life teaser, released by E! on Monday, May 4. While the reality stars moved to Florida for a more “zen” life, it seems they still have that New York spark.

The trailer showed the women writing a letter to their comrades in Manhattan, explaining how things have changed over the past few years.

“We’ve been mostly keeping quiet,” Dorinda, 61, said. “Things here move at a slower tempo.”

Sonja, 62, added, “We don’t stir things up anymore.”

Both statements appeared to be wildly untrue, as the clip teased what’s to come.

“Do not call me names,” Kelly, 58, could be heard telling Sonja at one point in the teaser. Sonja hit back, adding, “I need to get a mocktail, and in the meantime, shut up!”

Ramona, 69, also did not give up her “turtle time” — and neither did the other cast members. “Why are you lying?” she could be heard yelling repeatedly at Luann, 60, as the trailer continued.

“I went to burp and I threw up a little,” Sonja told Luann. “Do you smell it on my breath?”

Several familiar faces from The Real Housewives of New York will be reuniting for The Golden Life. E! confirmed in February 2026 that the network would be moving forward with the series, which features RHONY alums including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan now living in Palm Beach, Florida. “Bound by […]

Ramona also told viewers that “it’s been great meeting people our own age” before Sonja was shown talking to a much younger man.

“I can’t do 22 again; it’s exhausting. I had to teach him everything he knows,” Sonja said. “Like I don’t get on top.”

Luann made it clear to viewers that she’s living her “best life” in Florida. It appears the other women are too.

“Consider this your invitation,” they all said, concluding the trailer. While a release date was not revealed, the show is set to premiere on E! in the fall.

News broke in February that some of the OG RHONY women would be returning to TV for the Golden Life. Jill Zarin was initially set to join the cast, but she was fired shortly after the casting announcement due to her comments regarding Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show.

“I don’t speak Spanish. I would’ve liked to have known the words he was saying. To me, it looked like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing. I’m not taking a side, one way or the other,” she said, in part, in a video that has since been deleted. “I think it was an ICE thing. I think that the NFL sold out, and it’s very sad.”

Days later, producers confirmed to Us Weekly that Jill would no longer be involved with the show.

“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Jill told In Touch on February 10 about the firing. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”

Elsbeth’s Anna Camp Churns Butter as Trad Wife Accused of Murder

Published

on

Anna Camp isn’t just playing a trad wife — who churns butter — on Elsbeth but her character is also being accused of murder.

In Us Weekly‘s exclusive first look at the Thursday, May 7, episode of the hit CBS show, Camp, 43, can be seen churning butter while Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) grills her about a director’s recent death. Camp’s character distracts from her possible guilt by convincing Elsbeth to join in on her trad wife activities.

According to the official synopsis, the episode —directed by Pamela Adlon — follows a case in which “an ambitious filmmaker dies in a suspicious cleaning accident.” Elsbeth then “focuses on the subject of her final documentary: a ‘trad wife’ whose from-scratch lifestyle included a deadly ingredient.”

Elsbeth, which premiered in 2024, reintroduced the title character after she originally appeared on The Good Wife and The Good Fight. The first two seasons showed Elsbeth becoming a de facto detective who assists the NYPD investigating cases. Preston stars alongside Wendell Pierce and Carra Patterson.

While many TV shows have made household names out of their star players, occasionally showrunners have been able to corral some of Hollywood’s biggest names to drop in for a surprising cameo during a complete episode or a single scene. Perhaps one of the most polarizing cameos belonged to Ed Sheeran on HBO’s Game of […]

Season 2, however, ended with Patterson, who plays Kaya, departing the show as a series regular.

“It’s been in development since the beginning of season 2,” Preston exclusively told Us in May 2025. “We wanted to honor her and elevate her to detective. So it was very exciting when that happened for the character. Not as exciting for us though because we love Carra. I love Carra and I obviously love playing with her.”

Preston promised that wasn’t the last fans would see of Kaya, adding, “She’s still on the show — it’s just in a different capacity. It’s nice because it adds some conflict and it adds some stuff for Elsbeth to wrestle with. It’s going to deepen my character.”

During season 3, Elsbeth has been paired off with various cop characters — and detectives — before Kaya returned earlier this month.

“With Elsbeth having to deal with this person not being there who she really leans on, it’s a real testament to the writers that they did it in such a gradual and beautiful way,” Preston told Us. “It’s the good thing about Elsbeth, [she] is so positive and never met a stranger.”

The actress didn’t rule out potential “growing pains” as Elsbeth adjusts to “flying solo” in season 3, saying, “The writers have already started introducing other uniformed officers that Elsbeth really relies on to get onto the crime scene. The way our show is structured, it’s not the same detective with Elsbeth on every case.”

Preston continued, “So that always adds a little breath of fresh air as well by having different points of views and different people for her to either partner with or go head to head with in the pursuit of justice.”

More recently, Preston opened up about how the show was able to expand for its third season.

“It suddenly feels like, ‘Oh, right. The NYPD has lots of people and it’s not just this small group.’ It made the show feel in some ways bigger,” she told Us in February. “I wasn’t altogether sure how we were going to do that without it seeming like we were trying to replace Carra — and yet we did and we still get to have Carra back. It’s been the best of all worlds.”

Elsbeth airs on CBS Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Paramount+.

What Pushed Kate Middleton to Her ‘Limits’ With Prince Harry?

Published

on

KATE Cover

Royal expert Christopher Andersen’s new book reveals the moment Princess Kate Middleton was pushed to her “limits” with brother-in-law Prince Harry.

“The damage was done: seeds of doubt concerning the King’s chances for a full recovery had been sown,” Andersen writes in Us Weekly’s exclusive excerpt from Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen, set to be released on Tuesday, May 5.

Anderson is, of course, referring to Harry’s May 2025 interview in which he discussed his ongoing rift with the royal family.

“I don’t know how much longer my father has,” Harry said at the time, which made Kate “more disappointed than angry,” per the excerpt.

“But William, who had already slammed the door shut on his brother over what Harry wrote in Spare, was, in the words of a courtier, ‘apoplectic’ with rage,” Andersen writes. “Now it was time to nail the door shut once and for all, and for the first time Kate, who had worked harder than anyone to mend the rift between the brothers, willingly handed her husband a hammer.”

Kate “promised” William that she “was done” with Harry after his bombshell BBC interview.

“Princess Catherine is ‘the sweetest, most loving person you could ever know,’ said a Sandringham staffer, ‘but like everyone else, she has her limits,’” Andersen’s excerpt reads.

Andersen also spoke with Us exclusively about the moment in his book.

“I think Kate’s relationship with her father-in-law over their shared cancer battles really has made her much more sensitive to King Charles’s feelings,” he explained. “She knows better than anyone that having someone publicly imply you may be at death’s door is horribly demoralizing.”

Prince Harry’s relationship with Prince William isn’t the only dynamic that has changed over the years. The Duke of Sussex’s bond with his sister-in-law, Princess Kate, has gone through its own changes following his and Meghan Markle’s royal exit. While Harry always had kind words for his sister-in-law — “I’ve known Kate for years, and […]

Charles went public with his cancer diagnosis in February 2024 and Kate announced hers the following month. Kate has since announced that she is in remission.

“I’m sure Kate must have felt stung by that comment as well, since she is in a situation very similar to the king’s,” Andersen added, noting that Kate has always been the “level-headed one” in the family feud attempting to “bridge the widening gap between the brothers” — but this changed things.

Andersen speculated that he doesn’t see Harry and Kate “having any sort of relationship” going forward. “At least not for the foreseeable future,” he added.

Why Sci-Fi's Sexiest Robot Couldn’t Stop Channeling Marvel’s Deadliest Hero

Ronald D. Moore’s Battlestar Galactica reboot has a well-earned reputation for being a very serious show. Sure, there are moments of levity here and there, but the series never loses its endlessly grim dark tone.

That’s understandable, of course: the show follows the last surviving members of the human race as they flee from extinction at the hands of relentless robot killers. When your TV show is about a slow-rolling apocalypse set in space, there’s not much room (even in the vacuum) for jokes and laughter.

However, Moore has a pretty quirky sense of humor. If you look closely enough, you can find some hilariously off-kilter references to other media that are sure to make you laugh.

In the episode “Litmus,” for example, has a scene in which brilliant, egocentric scientist Gaius Baltar is threatened by the version of Six that lives in his head. As viewers, we’re supposed to take the threat very, very seriously. But that’s hard to do once you realize that she is quoting the Incredible Hulk right to the man’s face!

The Incredible Six

This bizarre Battlestar Galactica tale will require a bit of frakkin’ context. In the show, there are multiple versions of Six, the statuesque Cylon played to sexy perfection by Tricia Helfer. The most mysterious version is one that lives inside Baltar’s head: it frequently talks to him and offers surprising advice from time to time.

In “Litmus,” for example, Baltar decides to destroy the Cylon detector because he thinks it has made him a target. When she learns of his plan, though, Six tells the scientist, “You’re gonna complete the project, like I told you.”

To this, a defiant Baltar says, “Really. Will I? Or what?” A visibly angry Six then gets in his face to utter something quite intimidating. “Don’t make me angry, Gaius. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.” At least, the line is delivered in an intimidating way.

It’s tough for audiences to be scared, though, once they realize the hilarious truth. Six is inexplicably quoting a line made famous by Bill Bixby when he played the titular lead of the Incredible Hulk TV show. Later, Mark Ruffalo would do a callback to this line in Avengers, when he tells Captain America, “That’s my secret, Cap. I’m always angry.”

A Marvel Of A Woman

So, what’s a goofy line from a goofier Marvel show doing in Battlestar Galactica? Nobody knows for sure, but it seems a safe bet that Ronald D. Moore or others on his staff were big fans of the old Incredible Hulk TV show. That’s because we get at least two more homages to this classic television line.

In “Six Degrees of Separation,” Six repeats the “don’t make me angry” part when she threatens Baltar again. Later, in “Collaborators,” there’s a bizarre dream sequence where Sx says, “Don’t make me angry,” only for Adama to complete the quote: “You wouldn’t like her when she’s angry.”

There you have it, you frakkin’ toasters: Battlestar Galactica might be a fairly serious show, but it’s filled with silly homages to the goofiest line in Marvel history. Of course, what makes this tale even stranger is that, canonically, the events of this sci-fi show take place long before the advent of our own modern civilization.

That means that Tricia Helfer’s character isn’t actually quoting the Incredible Hulk. She might (given that this “Head Six” version is seemingly immortal) be the one who inspired Bill Bixby to say it in the first place!
