Actor Russell Andrews Has ALS, Fiancee to Be His Caretaker

What Is ALS Explaining Eric Danes Diagnosis

Actor Russell Andrews announced that he has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as ALS.

“I am a person living with ALS. I was diagnosed in the late fall of last year. It’s been humbling,” Andrews, 64, said during a Saturday, May 16, appearance on CNN’s The Story Is With Elex Michaelson alongside his fiancée, actress Erica Tazel.

Andrews, whose credits include roles in Straight Outta Compton and Better Call Saul, said he first experienced symptoms of the neurodegenerative disease, which affects the brain and spinal cord, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I thought I had a stroke during COVID. It was a stressful time,” he said, adding that his health issues were compounded by the fact that he was unable to work during the pandemic, as well as the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is more commonly known as ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Grey’s Anatomy alum Eric Dane announced in April 2025 that he had been diagnosed with the nervous system disease. “I have been diagnosed with ALS,” the actor shared in a statement. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side […]

“There were moments there were twitches. There were things that I thought I was having pinched nerves in my neck and they were quite frequent,” he explained. “I was not able to do things that I normally do. I was dropping cups and glasses, and in the night, it felt like things were running up and down my arm at different times, and it was the nerves.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, “ALS often begins with muscle twitching and weakness in an arm or leg, trouble swallowing, or slurred speech. Eventually ALS affects the muscles needed to move, speak, eat and breathe. There is no cure for this fatal disease, but research into new therapies is ongoing.”

CNN reported that Tazel, whose credits include a role on the hit show Justified, is stepping into the role of caretaker for her fiancé.

“The processing is a process. When he originally shared with me, I say I was uncharacteristically calm,” Tazel, 49, said. “In a way, it was an answer to a lot of questions that we had. There were certain things that we started to see that were different. For example, it took him longer to clean the pool. The way he walked, there was a subtle little [change] … things like that. I had questions. I was like, ‘Something is definitely wrong,’ and so we now know what it was.”

From Lou Gehrig in 1939 to Eric Dane in 2025, celebrities have publicly dealt with what is now known as ALS for decades. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also called Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a terminal neurodegenerative disorder. The disease causes the individual to gradually lose control of their muscles, beginning gradually with muscle stiffness or […]

Tazel told CNN anchor Elex Michaelson that she has learned “there are cases” where love “is truly unconditional,” as she has stood by Andrews’ side.

“When he shared the news with me, again, there was not a sigh of relief, but some understanding of what was happening, and I looked at him across the room, and I said, ‘At least now we know what it is and I still want to be your wife,’” the actress said.

Andrews, Tazel and his family have also received support from the ALS Network, which advocates for the detection, treatment and cure of the disease.

Andrews’ reveal on Saturday comes amid ALS Awareness Month, which takes place during the month of May.

Former Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane died at age 53 in February nearly a year after announcing his own battle with ALS.

“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” Dane’s family said in a statement at the time. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife [Rebecca Gayheart], and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world. Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time.”

If Patricia From ‘Widow’s Bay’ Officially Won You Over, You Need Her 2-Part Comedy Series

Published

on

Everyone Else Burns TV Series Poster

Widow’s Bay came out of nowhere to scare viewers into a hilarious good time. The Apple TV series takes the classic Stephen King trope of a tight-knit community in a small town plagued by horrors and gives it a refreshing spin. Matthew Rhys stars as Mayor Tom Loftis, a relative outsider who comes to understand that the macabre legends of Widow’s Bay are closer to reality than he is comfortable with.

The hidden gem of the series, however, is Kate O’Flynn, who plays Tom’s employee, Patricia. The underappreciated municipal worker finds purpose when Tom gets in over his head. In a series that has its niche in horror-comedy, O’Flynn still stands apart in a cast full of idiosyncratic characters. Patricia is at the center of one of the best episodes when her sunset cocktail party goes awry. Widow’s Bay has officially concluded for the season, but that doesn’t mean that O’Flynn’s performances are out of reach. Viewers can delve into her filmography even further in an underseen comedy from England.

Kate O’Flynn Delivers Perfect Comic Timing in ‘Everyone Else Burns’

For those intrigued by Kate O’Flynn’s special brand of humor, the Channel 4 sitcom, Everyone Else Burns, is the natural follow-up. The title alone conveys exactly what sort of tone the satirical series takes about a Manchester family devoted to a puritanical form of Christianity. O’Flynn plays the Lewis family’s matriarch, Fiona, whose deadpan delivery and comedic timing are a trademark of the actor.

Her comedy comes about between a rock and a hard place, which Fiona usually finds herself in. Married to a staunch devotee who entirely believes that the rapture is coming, Fiona follows in David’s footsteps at first. She is also devout, but is not as ridiculous as her husband. David (Simon Bird) is the Michael Scott of this sitcom, a leader who probably shouldn’t be one. His offensive bowl haircut and blind belief that he is God’s instrument are part of the humor.

Fiona isn’t as serious and likes modern conveniences such as television, but still believes that the apocalypse is imminent. This is a careful tightrope walk, which makes her the best character in the series. She progresses as a person throughout the series, eventually acknowledging the hypocrisy and misogyny of organized religion. David isn’t particularly likable as he represents this hypocrisy. He isn’t a good person either, but he believes that his religion makes him a saint. He fully buys into the idea that he should be promoted to a church elder, even though he is obviously ill-suited to the position.

His wife, in contrast, is the hilarious salve to this issue. Fiona is reasonable, but still hammers home the central concept of the show. Everyone Else Burns is almost the antithesis of Widow’s Bay, but it still harnesses similar humor. While the straight sitcom leans towards the purity of religion, the Apple TV series is more satanic. Patricia would be disavowed by this family, especially after committing a demonic ritual, which almost kills everyone on the island. Kate O’Flynn is the secret weapon of both shows, no matter what side of the demonic line she’s on.

While performing, Sean rapped the opening verse of his hit song ‘Beware’ directly to Jhené. She playfully brushed him off with a few dismissive gestures, but when he reached the lyrics, “Got a ring,” she turned to him and said, “What ring?” The moment quickly went viral and had the internet side-eyeing their relationship.

Here’s What Big Sean Previously Said About Putting A Ring On Jhené

In 2024, Big Sean also spoke on the speculation about a proposal and marriage with Jhené during an interview with Charlamagne Tha God. he said that, like any couple, they dealt with ups and downs and were focused on figuring out how to move through it all. He also shared that marriage represents the highest form of a relationship. He didn’t exactly say he wasn’t down to put a ring on Jhené, but his response still had fans questioning whether or not he planned to.

“To me marriage symbolizes the best relationship. To me, I feel like having a relationship is first and foremost. People are like ‘oh you have to to get married,’ but to me that’s like a fear-based way of thinking too because then people be getting divorced,” Sean said.

‘The Mask’ Director Says He “Bet the Farm” on Jim Carrey Becoming a Movie Star [Exclusive]

Published

on

01406656_poster_w780-1.jpg

Some actors have a star-making performance, but Jim Carrey had a star-making year in 1994. At that time, Carrey was already making noise thanks to In Living Color, but The Mask helped turn him into a full-blown movie star. For those of us who watched him step into that Edge City bank for the first time over 30 years ago, you could tell he had it. So, it seems, could director Chuck Russell.

Speaking with Collider for the 30th anniversary of Eraser for the latest edition of our retrospective series, Collider Rewind, Russell reflected on watching Carrey perform before casting him in The Mask. The filmmaker said seeing him live made it clear that Carrey’s physical comedy worked far beyond what he could do on television. “Yeah. So I’m at The Comedy Store, and I realized what he’d been doing in In Living Color, [which] I’d also been watching, was that he could do live,” Russell told Collider. “I talked to him about it while we were filming The Mask, and he said, ‘If I can imagine it, Chuck, I can physically do it. It’s wild.’ He is a Charlie Chaplin. I knew, ‘This guy’s a comedy genius,’ literally. I bet the farm on Jim Carrey being a great movie star, and New Line finally agreed.”

Russell also revealed that Carrey was not the only major Hollywood discovery of the film. Cameron Diaz, who made her screen debut in The Mask, had never acted before, making the whole project a much bigger risk than it may look in hindsight, but boy, did it pay off. “The other person that I really saw ahead of time was Cameron Diaz, who had never acted before at all,” said Russell. “So, the studio took quite a risk with me, and my encouragement on, first of all, letting that be a comedy instead of a horror film, which was originally how they conceived it, and letting me make it a vehicle for Jim and Cameron. It was kind of risk-reward. We made a movie that was unlike anything that had been seen prior.

Originally, as Russell explained, the plan for the film was something more akin to a horror, which makes a lot of sense given the premise: Stanley Ipkiss puts on the mask and starts robbing banks and leaving bodies in his wake, then the next morning, he has no idea what crimes he’s committed. But there was a very tricky tightrope to walk to make that into a comedy, and Russell pulled it off magnificently. “I wanted to make a literally joyful movie,” Russell explained. “I’d lost my father not long before I got to make The Mask, and I just said, ‘I’m going to have a good time, and I’m going to make sure the audiences have a good time. Let’s get this movie made with Jim Carrey.’”

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix
Advertisement

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max
Advertisement

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner
Advertisement

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune
Advertisement

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars
Advertisement

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

How Successful Was ‘The Mask’?

The Mask was a massive success, especially considering how risky it looked on paper at the time, with two leads who were by no means household names, and visual effects galore. It was made for around $23 million and grossed about $351 million worldwide, which is an enormous return. Domestically, it made about $119 million, and internationally, it added around $232 million.

It was also a huge career-maker for Carrey and Diaz. Carrey had already broken out that same year with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, but The Mask helped prove he could carry a big, effects-driven studio movie. When you watch Ace Ventura, there’s a raw and low-budget feel to it. The Mask felt glossy and like a proper Hollywood picture, while Diaz’s entrance into the Edge City bank is still one of the most memorable on-screen debuts in movie history. Critically, it landed well, too. The effects, Carrey’s performance, and the live-action cartoon feel were all praised, and the film earned an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects.

Stay tuned for more from our interview with Russell for the latest edition of Collider Rewind.

  • Harry, Hermione, Ron — the heroes of Hogwarts’s greatest chapter — all called the tower with the scarlet and gold home. And now, so do you.

  • You see the world with unusual clarity and depth.
  • Luna Lovegood, Filius Flitwick, Rowena Ravenclaw herself — all extraordinary, all original. And so are you.

What Do We Know About the Upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ Series

Enough to get us excited, but not enough to keep guessing. The series has gathered a brilliant cast, including Dominic McLaughlin as the titular character, with Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger. Further filling the staffroom are John Lithgow as headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer stepping into the shoes of Minerva McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu as iconic double agent Severus Snape, along with Nick Frost as loveable gameskeeper Rubeus Hagrid.

In the longer TV series format, the makers are filling in some blanks with behind-the-scenes images showcasing Dumbledore meeting his friend Nicolas Flamel and his wife; some images also show Harry’s parents, James and Lily. With small elements such as these, even longtime fans will get something fresh in the reboot. Furthermore, some ignored characters like Peeves, who’ll be played by Peter Serafinowicz. With season 1 already under their belt, the second season is currently filming.

The new Funko line will be out soon. The new Harry Potter series will debut on 25 December. Stay tuned to Collider for more such updates.

General Hospital Early Spoilers June 22-26: Carly Panics in Total Chaos – Britt Suffers Deadly Collapse!

Published

on

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) - Britt Westbourne's (Kelly Thiebaud)

General Hospital early spoilers for the week of June 22nd through the 26th stun with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) going into panic mode when a search warrant is served that puts everything at risk. Plus, Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) collapse could be fatal and a cry for help might come too late.

We’re going to get into what is coming the week of June 22nd including big big stuff for July sweeps which kicks off next week. And as we always do on early edition day, we start with what is happening the rest of this week and then we talk about what is ahead for next week.

General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu’s Transparency and Cullum’s Search Warrant

With that in mind, let’s dive right in. On Wednesday, June 17th, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is transparent with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), which is a nice change. I think we can all agree. And this may come after an intense talk with Lulu, Dante and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), possibly also after she has a talk with Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey).

So, Cullum has been talking to the dirty WSB agents under his control, and he’s wondering why Dante and Lulu haven’t involved the FBI in Rocco going missing, which they should be as a kidnapping across state lines.

So, Cullum shows up to interrogate Dante and Lulu and asks, “What exactly are you protecting her from?” And I’m assuming the her is Britt. And what’s ironic is it’s Cullum that they are protecting Britt and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) from since they all know that he shot Cullum, but Cullum doesn’t know that Rocco’s parents know.

GH Spoilers: Chase on the Spot

So, Dante asked Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) up at the PCPD whether he was following the law or what Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wanted him to do when he arrested Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). So, is he doing this for Willow or doing the right thing? I’m sure Chase is going to deny anything inappropriate and reminds Dante that Tracy has a history of doing dodgy things, which is true.

Also, Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean Parsons) pulls a fast one on Friday. He stole evidence and we know he’s insisting on a closed adoption. Plus, he still has Ava Jerome (Maura West) wanting a price for her silence about him being Phoebe’s dad. Although, a lot of fans still don’t think Ethan is really her father. He may be protecting a secret.

General Hospital: Valentin’s Mission and Carly’s Search Warrant Shock

So, also we’ve got Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) all done up in a suit. He’s ready to sneak over to Geneva and talk to mystery person Z for help taking down Cullum and saving Josslyn from Spoon Island. Valentin is about to go and he tells Carly that he doesn’t know if they will see each other again.

They’re both emotional and may be interrupted because Carly is shocked by who’s at the door. It is Cullum who’s got a search warrant to go through Carly’s house looking for Valentin. Now, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) is also over there saying goodbye to her dad, Valentin, and she’s still there when Cullum shows up. Now, hopefully Valentin’s already gone by then, or he sees him coming and runs off. This was triggered by the trace on his call that went to Anna’s clinic.

General Hospital Spoilers:

Also, Tracy demands answers from Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). So, Tracy’s ranting at her granddaughter and wants her to tell her if she believes Willow or her. As long as Chase isn’t around, I’m sure Brook Lynn will tell the truth.

And this may be when she tells Tracy that she is framing Willow as the other driver in Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) crash. We also have Willow taken off guard by Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) on Wednesday and she tells Willow she made an arrangement for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to start communicating.

Remember, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Felicia were talking about Liz offering Willow some way for Drew to communicate and they thought it was strange she turned it down. And at this point it’s going to be hard for Willow to refuse.

We also have Scout Cain having scenes played by a one-day recast. Cossette Abinante wasn’t available to film that day and soon she’s going to get her rapid age-up recast.

General Hospital Spoilers: Rocco’s Discovery and July Sweeps Preview

So, we may see her with her dad, Drew, and maybe he’s communicating to Scout, but he really can’t lay all this out for her. Thursday, June 18th, Rocco is horrified when he finds Britt collapsed. So Rocco comes in and he finds Britt down on the floor of the cottage where they’re hiding. Looks like she’s completely unconscious. Rocco’s yelling, “No, no, no.” He runs to check on Britt. Then he makes a phone call asking for help. I suspect that Rocco may call Cassius because of events that unfold on Thursday and also because Britt is his sister. Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tells Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) about his strategy.

Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) doesn’t want to know anything about Sonny’s plans to get rid of Sidwell and Cullum permanently. But I’m sure Ric’s happy to listen to Sonny’s murder plans when Ric’s not busy planning the party with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). I’m enjoying watching them bicker over Molly Lansing’s (Kristen Vaganos) big book launch event. Meanwhile, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) sets a trap. He hates Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), so it might be Sidwell coming for him or Sonny or Laura or even Ava if he’s looking to get to her to ask for help.

General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Confides in Liz

Plus, Laura makes somebody an offer. We’ll see if it’s to help Lulu or Sonny. and Dante goes up to General Hospital to vent to Elizabeth. So Dante may be looking for advice or help or just a sounding board. Quick note, in a recent interview, Dominic Zamprogna, who plays Dante, seems really interested in Elizabeth and Dante being together. And at a fan event, he confirmed that there is no Lulu and Dante reunion ahead even after she finds out about Cassius.

Speaking of him on Friday, June 19th, Cassius has some information for Lulu. And this could be that Rocco has called Cassius because he remembers how much Cassius went to a lot of effort to protect him and because it’s his sister Britt who’s collapsed and he may think that Cassius knows something about her Huntington’s. So, Cassius may update Lulu. I do wonder if Rocco is going to give Cassius their location, which could be really dangerous.

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) - Britt Westbourne's (Kelly Thiebaud)General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) - Britt Westbourne's (Kelly Thiebaud)
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spencer – Britt Westbourne

General Hospital: Ethan’s Message and July Sweeps Begins

Ethan delivers a message to Ava. He may be trying to shut down her blackmail. And Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) is alarmed. Hopefully, Cullum doesn’t show up to tie off that loose end. It could be Carly coming to tell him about Cullum and the search warrant. I’m sure him showing up at her house could change Valentin’s plan to go see Z, like Brennan said, which would honestly be bad for them all.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) considers her next move. This may be about the music showcase or her problem parents. And Felicia offers somebody some encouragement. It may be Drew. You know, Willow may be unable to stop Felicia from coming to see him with the communication board. So, we’ll see if Willow has what she needs to blackmail Drew. If Brennan can’t get it, not yet. You know, Willow may be able to convince Drew that she has it anyway.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sidwell’s Getting Desperate for Revenge

Then the week of June 22nd through the 26, big stuff coming because on Thursday, June 25th, July sweeps kicks off, carries on through July 22nd. Sidwell’s getting desperate for revenge. He doesn’t want to walk away from all the big plans he’s made in Port Charles. And we have heard a rumor that Cullum is dead during July sweeps, and I will say yay to that.

Carly, of course, was horrified when Cullum searched her house, and we’ll find out the fallout from that. Meanwhile, Carly is sweating that Josslyn may be running out of time while she’s trapped at Wyndemere, presumably there with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). We know as viewers that they are together, but Carly is assuming Brennan needs to get out of Turning Woods before Cullum comes to finish him off and Sonny pushes forward with his plan to get rid of the villains.

Brooklyn continues with her scheme to discredit Willow and spread lies that she was the driver who left Jordan and Curtis for dead in a car crash. Brooklyn is honestly on a road to crash her own marriage. Time’s almost up for Willow with Drew and the Brook Lynn plot both. So, I think we’re going to see Willow facing big trouble in sweeps.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is also back in sweeps and actor Dominic Zamprogna confirmed she will be back as police commissioner soon. And Lulu may take action if Cassius tells her Rocco reached out. And we’ll see what happens in the aftermath of Britt’s collapse. That is a signal that her Huntington’s is in a dire situation.

Bold and Beautiful Early Spoilers June 22-26: Katie’s Shocking Betrayal Revealed – Wyatt Saves the Day!

Published

on

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Katie Logan (Heather Tom) - Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks)

Bold and the Beautiful early spoilers for the week of June 22nd through the 26th stun with Katie Logan (Heather Tom) shocking betrayal exposed and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) coming through in a big way for his family.

So, we’re going to get into what is coming the week of June 22nd, including the kickoff of July sweeps. And as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to start with what is going on the rest of this week and then we will get into what is going to happen next week.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Steffy’s Last-Minute Offer and Sheila’s Surprise

On Wednesday, June 17th, we’ve got Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) making an offer at the last minute, and that should change everything for somebody. Now, I fully expect that this is Hope and Steffy’s conversation that began on Tuesday that will carry over onto Wednesday.

And this, of course, was after Steffy shared some suspicions with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) because Steffy told Brooke that she thinks that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is hiding something. So, Steffy claims to know what Hope is up to, but I don’t think Steffy knows.

She may accuse Hope of taking the leave of absence to make a statement and force her hand. And Steffy tells her, “Okay, you can come back now. It’s time to relaunch.” And she may tell Hope, “We really want you here.” However, Steffy may actually be on a fishing expedition like her namesake Grandma Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).

Because she’s clearly already suspicious of Hope. And Steffy’s conversation with Brooke might have planted the seed when she told Steffy that Katie can only hire Spencers. Because unlike Brooke, we know Steffy is analyzing every angle of every deal. I expect her to gauge Hope’s reaction during their conversation, expecting her to say, “Yay, I’ll be here tomorrow.” Which, of course, she can’t do.

B&B Spoilers: Spencers on Edge

Meanwhile, Katie, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) are all on pins and needles waiting to hear back. They are very worried about Hope and what Steffy wants with her, and they may need to talk Hope down after this interaction because once Steffy tells Brooke what she said, then we’re going to see her ecstatic, thinking that Hope is going to be back to Forrester Creations right away.

And we are getting closer to Brooke’s epic tantrum and the inquisition she engages in over at Logan. Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) are rattled on Wednesday. So, Deacon’s canoodling with Taylor at her office at the hospital when somebody barges in without an appointment, without knocking. Taylor screams, Deacon shocked, and guess what? It’s Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). So, what does she want and how long until Taylor runs this news back to Steffy?

Bold and the Beautiful: Dylan’s New Assignment and Brooke’s Confrontation

On Thursday, June 18th, Miss Dylan (Sydney Bullock) is caught off guard when she gets a new boss at Forrester Creations. Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) was her boss on the fragrance line, but it could be retasking her to work with RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) or Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace).

Or they may tell Dylan that they want her on Hope for the Future now that it’s coming back, except as we know, it’s not. We find out what Sheila is really up to and why she showed up and busted in on Deacon and Taylor at her office. So, we’ll see what Sheila says she wants and whether her stated reason for popping up and her actual motives align because she’s always got ulterior motives.

And we may see her leave this encounter with Deacon and Taylor and run back to her secret roommate. And again, I’m thinking Remy Pryce Christian Weissmann) or Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). If it’s one of them, I hope it’s Remy because Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy might ban Li from their lives for cohabitating with Sheila. Plus, it’d be super weird if Finn’s two moms turned out to be roommates.

Bold and Beautiful Spoilers: Brooke Ready to Celebrate

Friday, June 19th, we’ve got Brooke ready to break out the champagne and celebrate with Hope for the end of her leave of absence and the relaunch of Hope for the Future. And with Brooke gushing like this, that puts Hope in a corner, and she’s likely gonna have to lie and offer some excuses about why she’s not ready to come back, which of course won’t make any sense to Brooke because Hope’s sabbatical was only supposed to be until Steffy brought back the line.

So, then we may see another chat between Brooke and Steffy that could be the catalyst for Brooke going over to confront her little sister, Katie. This is a confirmed spoiler, but I don’t have the exact date. It may be the end of this week, but I tend to think it’s more likely to happen next week. So, Brooke is going to storm into Katie’s office at Logan and just goes wild on Bold and the Beautiful.

Hope is scrambling to hide behind the partition and she’s shocked at the way that Brooke is ranting at her little sister. And Katie is also in shock when Brooke demands that she tell her who’s her new designer and she needs to tell her right now. And when Katie refuses, Brooke threatens to search every room and hall at Logan until she finds out who it is.

Bold and the Beautiful: Wyatt’s Diamond Deal and July Sweeps Begin

And then Katie tells Brooke she’s being ridiculous, but she amps up and tells Katie that she will do it. Try me. I dare you. So, Brooke’s ready to go tear the place apart until she gets the answer, which means she’s suspicious. Now Katie knows that Hope is panicking, so she keeps Brooke distracted so Hope can sneak out of the office while Brooke’s back is turned. And Katie antagonizes Brooke, saying if she wants to know who the new designer is, then she can find out at the launch tomorrow with everybody else.

So, I suspect these spoilers are for the week of June 22nd based on the outfits and the context, but it is coming very soon. Meanwhile, Bill and Liam get a big pitch from Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) and Wyatt, and it looks like they are proposing a jewelry line that they would both design together. I still think there’s something going on there. We’ll see. So, after Shauna asks, “Do we have a deal once the presentation’s done?”

Bill says, “Not so fast.” Says he needs something from Wyatt. And of course, Bill wants the real big blue hope diamond. Bill is not going to settle for the fake one that Wyatt showed Liam. So, with Hope’s line nearly ready to launch, Bill is eager to lock the jewel down for the debut.

B&B Spoilers: Huge Stuff Coming for July Sweeps

Then June 22nd through the 26th, it’s going to be big stuff. We’ve got July sweeps kicking off on Thursday, June 25th. And I expect to see both Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) new couture launch and Hope’s new collection at Logan also debut during sweeps. Wyatt and Shauna are going to cut a deal with Bill on their proposal.

If it’s a yes, Logan’s going to get even bigger even faster because their jewelry design team should outstrip just Electra working alone at Forrester Creations because she was pretty much Ivy Forrester’s (Ashleigh Brewer) assistant designer until her aunt had to walk out when she got exposed for all the things she did. So, I kind of don’t think Electra is up to the level that Wyatt and Shauna will be.

Bold and Beautiful Spoilers: Will Wyatt Deliver?

Also, we will find out if Wyatt comes through with the real Hope for the Future diamond for the launch. RJ and Dylan keep heating up and she’ll soon share an update with Electra on her love life. Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) is going to face more pressure from Electra about Katie’s new designer.

We’re also going to have Brooke and Katie’s feud reaching a nuclear detonation level during sweeps. Once Hope walks the runway with Deacon at her launch and Brooke finds out her sister and daughter lied to her and betrayed her. Steffy and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) are going to go berserk as well.

Katie will remind Brooke that she said she could hire Spencers and Hope is a Spencer. That’s not going to hold water, though. And Brooke will probably turn around and grill Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and she’s going to have to admit that she knew this whole time. This could honestly fracture the Logan sisters for good.

We’ll also find more about what Sheila has in store for Deacon and Taylor. More on Sheila’s mystery roommate, and I’m curious to see if Remy’s going to blab Deacon’s big news about being on the Logan design team to Sheila.

Young and the Restless Early Spoilers June 22-26: Nikki’s Health Rapidly Deteriorates – Diane Terrified!

Published

on

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) - Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters)

Young and the Restless early spoilers for the week of June 22nd through the 26th reveal Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) health deteriorating and she is going to get a really scary diagnosis. Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is terrified, held captive, and is scrambling for a way to save herself.

We’re going to get into what is coming the week that starts June 22nd, which sees the kickoff of July sweeps. And as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to begin with what’s going on the rest of this week and then get into what is happening next week.

Young and the Restless: Diane’s Captivity and Nikki’s Health Crisis

So, on Wednesday, June 17th, we’ve got Diane, still captive, poking around Dr. Markham’s (Jere Burns) house while he’s away. And she finds a cell phone, but unfortunately it needs a password to open. And then the doctor shows up. So Diane quickly hides the phone away and she tells Markham she accepts that she’s had a breakdown.

But Diane doesn’t want to be transferred to a clinic and she asks him if she can stay. So, she badgers Markham until he agrees to at least consider letting her stay instead of being transferred. I’m sure that’s going to cost Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) more money, though.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) gripes to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about their wedding venue not being available, and Sally asks about them having their ceremony at the Abbott mansion, but Billy says Diane’s missing, Patty’s moved in, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) had to kick everybody else out. Sally worries that Jack’s in danger from Patty, but she also wants Billy to mostly focus on them.

He agrees that Sally comes first and she discourages Billy from confronting Patty and derailing Jack’s sneaky plan. Also, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) corners Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and he’s ranting about Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) making him CEO and Devon’s raging about Cane disappointing Lily and their kids so many times.

Young and Restless: Lily’s Trust in Cane and Nikki’s Confrontation

Meanwhile, Nikki confronts Lily about her deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But it turns out Nikki’s actually more upset that Lily made Cane CEO of Chancellor. So, Lily thinks that Katherine would have approved and says that Cane deserves it and a second chance as well. And Lily reminds Nikki that she loves Victor even after all the awful things that he’s done. And Nikki says some things are unforgivable. I don’t know how she thinks Cane is worse than Victor who paid Patty to rape Jack. And this isn’t the first time that he has paid someone to molest Jack. So sorry, not sorry. I’m team Lily on this.

Devon continues berating Cane and calls him a bad influence on Lily. Right as she walks in, she tells Devon that she believes in Cane, but Devon says Lily is going to regret ever trusting Cane again and storms off. Lily apologizes to Cane, but he says Devon’s justified. Lily takes Cane to see his new CEO office, and he asks Lily again, doesn’t she want to run Chancellor? So, they talk about Katherine always rooting for them and that Chancellor has brought them back together and they’re having kisses and sweetness.

Y&R Spoilers: Jack’s Deception and Patty’s Escalation

Jack tells Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) they have to move out and they agree to it to help save Diane. And then Patty shows up with all her emotional baggage and her regular baggage and drapes herself across Jack talking about their love. Tracy and Kyle are playing along with it and talk about how disgusted they are and that they’re certain Jack’s going to come to his senses. Kyle rants about never forgiving Jack for this. And then he and Tracy storm out.

Patty plops down on the couch talking about how it’s great to be home, but Jack rejects it when she tries to kiss him and says they got to take it slow. Jack demands that he gets to speak to Diane’s doctor and Patty says she’s waiting on contact info. She is lying right to his face on Young and the Restless.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Nikki Going Downhill

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Nikki is struck by another awful headache when Traci shows up to check in and she tells Nikki and Lily that Diane is missing, that Patty’s behind it, and that Jack had to kick them out. And Traci says Jack’s playing along with Patty to protect Diane while they try and find her.

Nikki says she’s gonna go see Jack, but Tracy says, “Please don’t let Patty know that Jack is playing her.” So, Nikki goes over to the mansion, asks Jack what’s he thinking, threatens to throw Patty out.

Nikki’s headache gets worse as Patty joins them, and Nikki reminds her Jack is a married man and says Patty belongs in a mental institution. She reminds Nikki her own marriage is in the toilet and that she knows she hates Diane, too. And Patty says, “Leave us and go away.”

Nikki calls her crazy and then leaves. Patty tells Jack she moved into a guest room, but says her door is unlocked and she is sure that Jack will be in her bed soon and forces a kiss on him. Outside, Nikki’s eyesight goes all wonky and she’s so wobbly that she can barely keep standing.

Young and the Restless: Matt’s Orders and Victor’s Schemes

Thursday, June 18th. Victor sets things straight with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). So, he’s reluctant to go dark again, but Victor is insistent that he follows orders. Also, we have Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) slapping at Cane, hitting him where it hurts. So, I think Phyllis is going to rub it in Cane’s face that Victor gave her Arabesque. But I can see Cane clapping back that he got Chancellor and he got Lily. Phyllis and Victor are both going to hate how happily smug that Cane is.

Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is stressing over Nikki’s health problems after she nearly collapsed outside Jack’s house. It looks like Victoria is not gonna let up until Nikki agrees to go to the doctor, which she will very soon.

Young and the Restless: Phyllis’ Discovery and July Sweeps Preview

Friday, June 19th, Phyllis comes across valuable info. This may be about Patty, Diane, or something to do with Matt. Also, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) snaps on Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) much older lover is clearly jealous and feeling threatened. And Victoria opens up to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). This could be about Nikki and her health issues, but I think Victoria may also be ranting about Victor yanking Chancellor away from her and giving it to Lily without even giving her a heads up. Another crappy thing that Victor has done to his family.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) - Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) - Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters)
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Newman – Diane Jenkins Abbott)

Young and Restless: July Sweeps Erupts with Major Plot Developments

The week of June 22nd through the 26th, things really heat up because July sweeps kicks off on Thursday, June 25th. Cane and Lily keep getting closer. It’s not going to be too long until they’re hitting the sheets and she and Cane are going to have to deal with all the haters that are mad about him being CEO and their romantic reunion. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is back to Genoa City soon, but I’m not sure she’s going to stick around. We’ll get more on Matt’s efforts to get closer to Cane. I do wonder if Matt might wind up just confiding in Cane.

Noan is going to be stuck mediating between Audra and Sienna, but will he enjoy the attention? Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) recovery hits roadblocks during sweeps with a relapse heading his way and Victor amps up his plan to destroy Cane. Victor is more enraged after hearing that Lily appointed Cane CEO of Chancellor, but Matt may push back on what Victor has ordered him to do.

Y&R Spoilers: Nikki & Victor Reunion Coming

Victor and Nikki are on a path to reuniting because of her health struggle, but at first we’re going to see her hiding it from Victor because she doesn’t want her scary diagnosis to be what brings him back. So, Nikki is going to head to the doctor soon and she finds out something terrible is wrong with her.

Very time-sensitive, a new diagnosis. It’s not her multiple sclerosis. Also, we’ve got Diane struggling while stuck with wicked Dr. Markham and she’s desperate to find a way to get out. That cell phone should dial 911. You can always dial emergency without a passcode. I maybe she’ll figure that out soon. Meanwhile, Jack’s trying to play Patty, who’s gonna lose patience soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if she drugs Jack again and slips back in the sheets. And the same day that July sweeps kicks off, Thursday, June 25th, watch for recast Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) in the role for five episodes only.
