Disney has been around for a long, long time now, and over the decades, the company has wiped a movie from the timeline, Song of the South, and oddly, an episode of Darkwing Duck. The first is because of the racism, but the second is a little surprising. What could be in the Ducktales spin-off that was so horrible Disney pulled it from airing and has never made it available on Disney+? It’s Satan. Turns out, parents weren’t fond of a cartoon including a plot about the Devil making a deal with one of the main characters. 

Darkwing Duck Vs. The Prince Of Darkness

Darkwing Duck was always a darker series than Ducktales but the banned episode, “Hot Spells,” goes a little further than the color palette and the Batman-style rogue’s gallery. Goslyn, Darkwing’s daughter, is bored when she goes to a magical school alongside Darkwing and Morgana, finding that magic isn’t as fun as it sounds. It’s a lot of math. The Janitor, Beezelbub in disguise, takes advantage of the opportunity to trick her into a deal that gives her magic, but allows him to take Darkwing Duck’s soul. 

Together, Morgana and Goslyn are able to trick Beezelbub into releasing Darkwing Duck. It’s still a Disney afternoon cartoon after all. By then though, the damage was done, and parents lit up the switchboards at ABC with complaints that their child watched the Devil himself. The odd thing is, it wasn’t Beezelbub’s first appearance. 

Beezelbub, or The Devil, or Satan, depending on how you want to refer to him, appeared in the episode “Dead Duck” when Darkwing passed away (temporarily). Meeting the Masked Mallard at the Pearly Gates, Beezelbub tried to convince St. Peter that the hero should be in Hell. At the end of the episode, Darkwing wakes up with a bump on his head, thinking it was all a dream. 

Not The Only Banned Episode Of Darkwing Duck

More Darkwing Duck episodes wound up being banned, including “Tiff of the Titans,” which included a cameo from Gizmo Duck. That one was banned due to a terrorism plot. Around September 11, 2001, it was caught up in the rush of entertainment banned, albiet briefly, due to sensitivity. “Bearskin Thug” was pulled in 2001 as well after complaints that the bear was too scary. The best banning though was “Aduckyphobia,” pulled because the character Arachno-Duck was too similar to a certain wall-crawling Marvel superhero. 

With the exception of “Hot Spells,” the banned episodes have been restored on Disney+. Internationally, “Hot Spells” is available for streaming, but within the U.S., it’s been banned for over 30 years and counting. A character giving into temptation and making a deal with the devil is pretty common in shows like Supernatural, or well, Lucifer, but the afternoon cartoon was a bridge too far. 

Darkwing Duck is one of the many shows that Disney hasn’t done much with over the years. For a decade, there have been rumors of a legacy sequel featuring a grown-up Goslyn and an older Drake Mallard,  produced by Seth Rogen. A few months ago, the original voice for D.W., Jim Cummings, said he had recorded a scene, so fans can cautiously look forward to more news about the return of Darkwing Duck in the near future. This time, Satan won’t be included.

“Real Housewives of New York City“ alum Luann de Lesseps is gearing up for the premiere of her new show, “The Golden Life.” Now, ahead of the series, she’s reacting to her costars, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan, having recently reunited with Bethenny Frankel.

This comes weeks after E! released the trailer for the series, which is slated to premiere this fall.

De Lesseps was featured on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast in June 2026. During her interview, the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum was asked about the RoC ad Morgan and Singer recently shot with Frankel in Paris.

In reacting to it, she began, “Good for them. I think they needed a little cash, so, perfect.” After joking with the podcast hosts, the Cabaret performer added, “It’s a cash grab, what do you want?” Then, De Lesseps was asked if she believes the three ladies still speak after shooting the ad.

She responded, “I’m sure they do. They can have their relationships. They can be friends with whoever they want.” She then added, “They went very quickly, and then they came back very quickly because we had our own show to do.”

During the interview, she was also asked if she’d rather go ziplining or do the ad with her co-star. She said, “Oh, girl, give me a zip line any day. So I can zip on out of there.”

Luann And Bethenny Previously Interacted in 2024

De Lesseps has had a contentious relationship with Frankel for several years. Their last big clash came during the “RHONY” episode from season 11 titled “Life is not a Cabaret.” Years later, in 2024, the two reunited and took a photo in the Hamptons.

However, the reunion was short-lived as De Lesseps accused her former co-star of posting the photo for clout and using her daughter in the process. She told Us Weekly in July of that year, “After watching Bethenny’s video and still being blocked by her on social media, I realize she just used her daughter to get to me.”

She continued, claiming the photo opp “wasn’t a genuine reconnection.” She added, “To watch the video, it hurt my feelings.”

Before her change of heart about Frankel’s motivations for the photo, De Lesseps told the outlet, “I’ve been through a lot with Bethenny, but I am not the person who hangs on to the past. We are moving through it in a positive way. Because life is a cabaret.”

The ups and downs of De Lesseps’ friendship with Frankel have been well documented on and off of “The Real Housewives of New York City.” Because of this, De Lesseps’ most recent comments about her former costar have caused varying reactions from fans. Overall, social media users think the “RHONY” alum was only having fun.”

One person said, “Luann’s ability to always drag Bethenny is beyond funny to me.” Another person wrote, “I think Luann and B are going to come together again. Just wait and see.” After that, someone else pointed out that she shaded her “Golden Life” costars, saying, “I think this new show is going to be more drama than we thought.”

E! Released ‘The Golden Life’ Trailer In May

E! announced “The Golden Life” in February 2026. In addition to De Lesseps, Singer, and Morgan, the original cast of the show included Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon. However, Zarin was fired before production began over her comments about the most recent Super Bowl halftime performance. Following the change, Dorinda Medley was added to the cast.

Then, in May, the first official trailer was released. The teaser featured each of the ladies giving a summary of their time in Florida, with moments of drama and laughs from the show sprinkled between.

Luann Previously Reacted To Jill Zarin’s Firing

De Lesseps was interviewed by PedestrianTV in February 2026, shortly after Zarin was confirmed to have been fired from “The Golden Life.” When asked for her thoughts on the matter and what her former costar had said, she stated, “My reaction was: ‘tone-deaf.’”

She continued, “I’ve known Jill for a long time, and I’m just surprised by the whole thing.” The “RHONY” alum then called the situation “unfortunate” before saying, “But the show must go on.”

There’s nothing quite like low-budget Canadian sci-fi. Budget constraints don’t hinder the creativity of the cast and crew. Instead, the limitations let them run with whatever wild idea comes to mind, so long as it’s cheap. A sign this has happened is when a sci-fi series suddenly has most of the stories taking place on contemporary Earth. When Lexx Season 4 revealed it was going to do just that, fans wondered what to expect. How could the budget be less? After the oddly dark third season, what would the writers do to top themselves? The answer: Everything they could think of. 

Lexx Was Always Weird But Season 4 Is Very Weird

Lexx Season 4 feels like no idea was deemed too dumb to make it to air. Stanley Tweedle is the one who initiates alien first contact, Lexx eats part of the Amazon Rainforest, Kai learns the Earth is doomed to destroy itself, 790 turns traitor and sides with Prince, reincarnated as a human, who manages to get his lieutenant, Priest, elected as President of the United States. And then there’s what Xev is up to. 

After the wild season premiere, Xev winds up in Texas, with predictable results. A local boy become sobsessed with her, but so do his friends, so he kills them. Xev is in jail, where the Sherrif’s goth daughter, a reincarnated Lomea from back in Season 2, takes a liking to Xev. Naturally, that means Xev is forced to be the star of her internet show. You saw that twist coming, right? 

The show does find a groove. It’s insane, but it’s a groove. There’s an episode based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream that involves Stanley realizing what 1500 years of marriage to Oberon would entail, carrot probes overrun the country, the crew decides to live in the suburbs in the most delirious episode of the season that ends in a massive shootout. Oh, and Lexx, running out of power, eats the country of Holland for fuel. All very normal things. 

Dare To Be Different

Even at its very best, Season 2, Lexx was a bizarre show. Season 4 goes so far that some fans bail after the Season 3 finale. It’s understandable. The change of setting, the concept of past villains reincarnating as Humans, 790 going full evil, it feels like a different series. That feeling is on purpose. Lexx never embraced concepts like narrative cohesion. Every season is wildly different from the one that came before. It’s messy, it’s chaotic, and it’s incredibly creative. 

You can say a lot about Lexx. It embraces low-brow humor, and there are sex references everywhere, but it’s not boring. The cast and crew take major swings in every episode, including a musical episode, making it the perfect binge for anyone bored with every modern sci-fi series playing it safe. Season 4 is bizarre. It makes very little sense, and it might turn Lexx into your favorite show.

Chingy is turning heads after dropping a new photo on Instagram. The flick has plenty of fans shook as it shows him with a whole new vibe. The ‘Right Thurr’ hitmaker told fans he wanted switch things up, and despite the major transformation, he made it clear that he was feeling it and wasn’t losing sleep over anyone’s opinions. “So I cut my hair off trying sumin different and I actually like it. Courtroom headlines continue to follow Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

Just as attention surrounding Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni began to cool, a separate lawsuit has pulled Reynolds into a new dispute.

The actor’s company is now tied to a multi-million-dollar case stemming from a traffic accident in Manhattan, with two women claiming they suffered serious injuries during the crash.

The legal battle centers on a March 2024 collision involving a Tesla owned by Reynolds and a Toyota van operated by Access-A-Ride, a transportation service for disabled passengers.

According to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Bronx residents Kawanna Coleman, 54, and Taji Kelly, 53, have each filed lawsuits connected to the accident. Together, the claims seek approximately $5 million in damages.

Although Reynolds was not inside the Tesla at the time of the crash, the vehicle was allegedly being driven by one of his employees in Lower Manhattan.

The lawsuits also name Access-A-Ride and the van’s driver, Nasriddinov Nodirjon, as defendants.

While Reynolds’ name appears on the Tesla’s insurance paperwork and he is the registered owner of the vehicle, the legal action was filed against his company, 2382 Walker Holdings LLC, rather than against him personally.

Questions Surround The Early Morning Crash

The collision reportedly occurred on March 2, 2024, in New York City’s TriBeCa neighborhood.

Court filings allege that the Tesla, which had only recently been purchased, changed lanes in front of the Access-A-Ride vehicle before allegedly stopping suddenly at a traffic light.

The lawsuit claims wet road conditions and rain made it difficult for the van’s driver to stop in time, resulting in a rear-end collision.

Photos reportedly taken after the crash showed substantial damage to both vehicles. The Tesla allegedly suffered dents and scratches to its rear section, while the Toyota sustained heavy front-end damage, including a detached grille and a bent hood.

The filings accuse both drivers of “negligence, carelessness and recklessness” in connection with the incident.

At this stage, the allegations remain claims contained in court documents and have not been proven in court.

Ryan Reynolds Company Pushes Back Against Claims

The two women involved in the case allege they suffered significant injuries as a result of the collision.

According to Kelly’s lawsuit, she sustained “severe and permanent personal injuries” following the accident.

Coleman’s filing alleges she suffered “injuries to various parts of her head, body, limbs and nervous system,” with the injuries reportedly requiring hospitalization and extended bed rest.

To defend against the claims, Reynolds’ company has retained prominent New York law firm, Wade Clark Mulcahy.

Court filings from the defense argue that the women were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and contend that this contributed to their alleged injuries.

The case has also become more complicated because the New York Transit Authority and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority were named as defendants.

However, both agencies are seeking to withdraw from the litigation, arguing that neither the vehicle involved nor its driver was officially registered with the Access-A-Ride program.

Ryan Reynolds Property Company Drawn Into Legal Fight

The company at the center of the lawsuit has a direct connection to Reynolds’ real estate holdings.

Records show that Reynolds established 2382 Walker Holdings LLC in October 2012 to facilitate the purchase of a property in Pound Ridge, New York.

The home, reportedly valued at $5.7 million, is shared by Reynolds and Lively and sits roughly 50 miles outside New York City.

Although the lawsuits were originally filed separately, a judge has since linked the cases together because they stem from the same collision.

A status conference hearing has been scheduled for September 10 in New York Supreme Court.

Legal Spotlight Follows The Reynolds Family Again

The latest lawsuit arrives shortly after another high-profile legal dispute involving the Reynolds family dominated entertainment headlines.

Blake Lively recently resolved her widely publicized lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni before the case reached trial.

The actress alleged that Baldoni launched a campaign to damage her reputation after she accused him of sexual harassment during production of the 2024 film.

Baldoni denied the allegations and maintained that he neither harassed Lively nor orchestrated any effort to harm her image.

The actor and director later filed a countersuit against both Lively and Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion. That countersuit was ultimately dismissed by a judge.

Now, with a separate legal battle unfolding in New York over the Tesla crash, Reynolds once again finds himself connected to another case attracting public attention. While the outcome remains uncertain, the matter is poised to keep the Hollywood star’s name in court records for months to come.

More entrepreneurs expressed frustration about the upcoming nuptials, with a small business owner on West 31st Street saying that he wasn’t expecting Swifties, fans of the pop star, to patronize him on the wedding day, unlike regular NBA fans who tend to go to his place for the games, despite tight security.

Another business owner, on West 33rd Street, admitted the MSG wedding rumors made him feel “super irritated,” as a lot of people will likely avoid the area on what would be a Holiday weekend during the ongoing World Cup.

This particular individual then suggested that Swift and Kelce should compensate business owners around the garden, due to the inconvenience that may arise as a result of their wedding ceremony.

One more small business owner, in the chat with TMZ, joked that Swift and Kelce should consider taking their nuptials somewhere else that isn’t MSG.

Unfortunately, such a move this close to the wedding is likely impossible, as Swift is said to have rented out the garden for three days, paying retail price for the venue, which usually costs around $1 million per night.

Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s MSG Wedding Venue Might Be A ‘Distraction,’ Sources Claim

While some top media outlets are certain Swift will be marrying Kelce at the MSG on July 3, a new report claims the venue leak is all part of a plot to distract people from the more intimate and small ceremony that will take place away from the 20,000-seat arena.

According to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail, Swift and Kelce’s wedding will likely not be held at the garden, but the venue would still play a major role as part of their planned celebrations.

“Taylor’s official wedding will not have 1,000 guests,” an insider told the news outlet. “There is a private and highly secure ceremony planned for her closest family and friends.”

They continued, “Guests of the wider party have been encouraged to donate gifts to charity, but her actual wedding will be a small, intimate gathering. There is something [else] associated with MSG.”

Top Notch ‘Security Screening’ Of Wedding Guests At MSG

Another insider shared that Swift and Kelce’s guests will arrive at Madison Square Garden for the ceremony before being taken elsewhere after a security screening.

“QR codes are going to be sent to guests,” the second source said. “The only instructions they have are to arrive at MSG on July 3. The codes haven’t gone out yet.”

“A lot of guests think this may be a security screening to [then] go elsewhere because MSG is equipped for that with their facial recognition, etc. But something involving the wedding is set there,” the source added, hinting that the venue would serve a bigger purpose.

The tight security measures come as no surprise, as Swift herself reportedly ditched sending out traditional save-the-date invitations in hopes of keeping her wedding plans as secret as possible.

The singer was said to instead be calling up her loved ones to notify them of their big day, while still withholding the precise wedding venue.

Taylor Swift Made A Head-Turning Appearance At MSG For The New York Knicks

Away from all the wedding planning, Swift made a surprise appearance at Madison Square Garden for the NBA finals.

The singer, who was notably with friends and no fiancé in sight, caused a stir as usual while cheering on the New York Knicks in their face-off against the San Antonio Spurs.

Swift rocked a blue top that read, “Stevie Knicks,” a nod to rock music legend Stevie Nicks, with her longtime pals, Alana and Este Haim, matching her energy by wearing equally punny shirts with the words, “Knickleback” and “Knickole Kidman” written boldly on them.

While Kelce was absent, reportedly due to a commitment he had with his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, the football star made up for it by supporting his fiancée at her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction event in New York.

Da Brat has the internet doing a double take after a new video surfaced showing the rapper serving looks and confidence while getting camera-ready. The clip quickly made its rounds online, with fans sounding off after catching a glimpse of the hip-hop icon stepping out in a new look. In the video circulating online, Da Brat appears to be in a dressing room as a makeup artist touches up her glam with a brush. The rapper rocks a head full of curly hair with red tones and streaks while wearing a matching denim outfit that hugged her figure and showed off what her mama gave her. Da Brat later shared footage from the photo session on Instagram, joking in the caption, “Why are people reposting this?”

Why Is The Internet Losing It Over Da Brat?

For longtime fans, the reaction may have less to do with the outfit itself and more to do with the image many people have associated with Da Brat throughout her career.
