The Bold and the Beautiful reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) really doesn’t want to give up the baby that she is carrying. But Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is forcing Steffy’s hand with this really, really dirty move he played by using Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) to guilt trip Steffy into faking the surrogacy and giving up their baby.

But we know it’s tearing Steffy apart. And we might see a really shocking outcome to this surrogacy scheme. Today we’ll talk about Carter, Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), and Daphne’s lives blowing up if Steffy can’t follow through.

Bold and the Beautiful: The Inevitable Truth Bomb

So, it’s still up in the air when the truth about Carter and Steffy’s drunken one night stand cheating and fake surrogacy scheme will come out. It could be during the pregnancy. It could be right after the baby is born. It could be five years later. I tend to think sooner, but we know the truth about Carter and Steffy will come out. And in fact, it might come out and horrify Carter if Steffy gives birth and immediately decides she just cannot give up her baby to Carter and Daphne to raise.

So today I want to talk about what could drive Steffy to get this deep into the scheme all the way to labor and delivery and then back out at the worst possible moment. The first reason she would keep this baby is obvious. Steffy told Carter already that she didn’t want to give up her baby. Even the thought of it is killing Steffy. She can’t fathom the idea when Carter was laying out this insane surrogacy scheme.

Carter Does Steffy Dirty on B&B

The only reason Steffy’s considering it at all is because Carter is forcing her in devious ways. He’s crossing boundaries with Steffy. And even after she told Carter no multiple times, he didn’t stop. He’s essentially forcing Steffy into this surrogacy scheme. And yeah, I get it. Carter’s desperate to save his marriage to Daphne. But forcing Steffy’s hand, demanding she give up her child is crazy. I think Carter just doesn’t get what he’s asking because he’s not a parent himself. This is like Sophie’s Choice, you know, and Steffy has every right to keep her own baby.

Also, there’s this for her to consider. When all the secrets and lies inevitably blow up, Daphne would divorce Carter, and she might pick up that baby and move back to Paris with it, which means Steffy wouldn’t be part of her baby’s life as Carter promised. Steffy would be cut completely out of this child’s life. She is an extremely involved and hands-on mother to Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) and to Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Bryan David Garlick).

She cherishes all those moments. Steffy’s kids are the most precious thing to her. And in fact, in Monaco, when she handed Finn back her rings, that was Steffy willing to sacrifice her wonderful marriage to keep her kids safe from Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). And Steffy told Carter repeatedly she wanted to tell Finn about their one night stand, even knowing he might end their marriage. Steffy was especially insistent once she found out she was pregnant. That baby was the priority from that moment, even over her own marriage to Finn.

Bold and Beautiful: Daphne Takes Off

So, I do think that if Steffy were to lose access to this baby because Daphne would take him or her to Paris, that would be a dealbreaker for Steffy and she would say, “No, I’m not doing this. Sorry.” She would give up her husband Finn, give up her best friend Daphne, give up all of it to keep her kids with her. Another thing for Steffy to consider is that if Finn calls it quits with Steffy and they end up divorcing, she’s going to want to keep her children closer than ever because Steffy’s kids are going to be all that she has if she loses Finn and if Steffy loses her best friend Daphne over this.

Also, don’t forget that Steffy already knows the pain of giving up a child. You’ll remember when she unknowingly adopted Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer‘s (Scott Clifton) baby, Beth. That was after Hope and Liam thought that their daughter died. That came after Steffy lost Liam. And Hope said she wasn’t going to let Kelly and Beth be sisters because Taylor Hayes (then Hunter Tylo) had shot Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). And Hope was treating Taylor like Steffy is treating Sheila now, as a danger to the kids. Steffy had lost Liam and she lost the chance for Kelly to have a sister.

Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy Won’t Give Up Another Baby

So, Steffy focused on family, adopted a baby, named her Phoebe after her dead sister, and Steffy was an incredible mom to her. And when the truth came out that Hope’s baby was stolen, Steffy had to give the baby to Hope and Liam and was devastated. So I can absolutely see Steffy saying she’s not going to put herself through that pain again. This baby is biologically hers and Carter’s.

And Steffy was attached from the moment she saw those two lines on all of those many pregnancy tests she took. She never considered not having Carter’s baby despite that it was easy to see the consequences. And Steffy didn’t consider giving it up. That’s her baby.

Steffy’s Legal Rights on Bold

Another thing to look at are the legal options. Daphne said she wanted to use a donor and surrogate that she already knows and trusts. She told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor that. Daphne said she would prefer that it’s more personal and not so transactional like with a perfect stranger. So, of course, that’s what’s got Carter’s wheels turning because Steffy’s already pregnant with his baby. So, now Carter is telling Steffy they’ve got to move fast because she’s already pregnant on Bold and the Beautiful.

That means timing is crucial to pull off the surrogacy scheme. And because it’s so rush, rush, Daphne, Carter, and Steffy might not sign papers just yet. As a lawyer, Carter should know better. You don’t delay the documents. But he’s not thinking like a lawyer. He’s thinking like a husband who accidentally was intimate with Steffy, his wife Daphne’s best friend.

Bold and the Beautiful: Carter Makes Hasty Mistake

So, I suspect Carter may ignore the paperwork and tell Daphne the important thing is getting the pregnancy going. They’ll sort the legalities later because they trust Steffy. And then, inevitably, she’s going to fall in love with the baby during the pregnancy. And Steffy’s going to have to tell Carter she just can’t give their baby to Daphne.

And if Steffy never signs paperwork with Carter and Daphne during the pregnancy, there’s nothing legal for them to enforce. And if Carter tried to take Steffy to court, she could just say, “Look, there was never a surrogacy. Carter and I were intimate together.” And it would turn into a Steffy versus Carter custody case over their baby, and nobody could make Steffy give up the kid.

Right now, Carter is so desperate. He’s just not thinking clearly and is doing all that he can to save his marriage to Daphne. That’s his job right now. So, for Carter, it’s not even about him and Daphne starting a family or having a child. It’s just about Carter not losing Daphne.

Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy Keeps Her Baby

But for Steffy, it’s always been about the baby because she’s been planning to tell Finn the truth even before she found out she was pregnant. Remember? And once Steffy saw those two lines on the pregnancy test, she told Carter, “We have to come clean. We have to tell them now because I’m pregnant.” It was clear from the outset Steffy always planned to keep this baby.

Then Carter started pressuring Steffy. And then he came up with this insane scheme. And when it all blows up, as it inevitably will, Carter has no one to blame but himself. Steffy and Carter didn’t mean to be intimate together and they should have come clean to Finn and Daphne. But of course, what’s happening right now is the much soapier option and I think it’s a pretty amazing storyline. I’m actually really impressed with The Bold and the Beautiful for coming up with this. I can’t wait to see where it goes. And I think where it’s going is Steffy keeps that baby.

Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular is facing three charges related to an alleged sexual encounter with a teenager.

Clavicular (real name Braden Eric Peters) has been charged with one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse and one count of procuring liquor for a person under the age of 21, per court records viewed by Us. The first two counts are felonies, with the third being a misdemeanor.

An arraignment will be held on October 14.

According to The Bulwark, which was first to report the news, the charges stem from an alleged incident that took place between the streamer and a teenage girl in Cape Cod in May 2025.

Clavicular seemingly responded to the accusations on Monday by sharing a letter of thanks allegedly penned by his accuser after they worked together. (He also shared what appeared to be private video of his accuser.)

“Trying to get my attention in anyway [sic] possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you,” he wrote.

He added in a separate tweet, “Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money. Greed is evil.”

A spokesperson for the internet personality told The Hollywood Reporter that “Clavicular has not been physically served.”

“As usual, the Bulwark is exaggerating the status of a case to boost traffic,” his rep claimed.

Us has reached out to Clavicular’s spokesperson for comment.

The details of the criminal case are similar to those of a lawsuit filed earlier this year. In May, Us reported that Clavicular was being sued by teenage influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza over allegations of battery, fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress and unauthorized publication of name and likeness. (Mendoza sought in excess of $50,000 in damages.)

Clavicular’s attorney strenuously denied the allegations.

The lawsuit alleged that Mendoza was contacted by Clavicular when she was 16 years old. He allegedly offered to pay her $1,000 for videos where he would endorse her as the “female face for looksmaxxing.”

Per the lawsuit, two reportedly collaborated on four videos. The court filing accused Clavicular of offering to inject Mendoza with a product “to melt fat on her cheeks as part of his promise to help her with her online presence through ‘looksmaxxing.’ During this session, Peters stated or implied that he was acting with medical authority, including by referring to himself as a doctor or otherwise holding himself out as qualified to perform the injection.” (The alleged victim’s attorney said Clavicular was not licensed to perform the procedure.)

“Peters intentionally injected Mendoza with an unapproved drug without consent, causing physical and psychological injuries to her,” her lawyers alleged. “Under Florida law, these acts constitute battery.”

Clavicular was also accused of serving Mendoza alcohol until she was drunk and then initiating sex with her. Mendoza alleged in her lawsuit that she was intoxicated “to the point where she was unable to give consent.”

“At this point, Mendoza did not know about Peters’ bragging about ‘slaying’ girls and having one-night stands,” court documents read. “Peters refers to this frequently as a ‘pump and dump.’”

At the time, Clavicular’s lawyer, Steve Kramer, told Us, “We are aware of the complaint recently filed against Mr. Peters. These are allegations only and remain unproven. Mr. Peters denies the claims and disputes the characterization of events. He will respond through the appropriate legal channels and intends to vigorously defend himself. We will not comment further at this time.”

The lawsuit is ongoing but Clavicular’s legal team filed a motion to dismiss the case in July.

Clavicular gained popularity among the divisive right-wing manosphere social media community and introduced the concept of “bone smashing” — which involves hitting his own face with a hammer to change his bone structure — into the public lexicon.

The influencer has frequently faced controversy for his political stances and extreme views on beauty standards.

Clavicular has had a tumultuous year beyond his current legal situation. In April, Us confirmed that Clavicular “suffered a suspected overdose” during a livestream and was briefly hospitalized.

“Just got home, that was brutal,” he tweeted on April 15. “All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”

A July social media video showed Clavicular being wrestled to the ground by a security guard outside Miami’s City Hall and later sitting in a police cruiser. (He did not face any criminal charges over the incident.)

And if she does, the question is, how will she use it? Today we’re going to talk about the ways Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might reward Patty if she’s the one who tattles on Victoria and Kyle’s dirty secret.

Young and the Restless: Kyle & Victoria Can’t Shake Each Other

So, as you know, Kyle and Victoria cannot stay away from each other. So, they are sneaking off to the motel every chance they get for some sexy time. We also know that Patty has been hanging around that exact same motel because that’s where Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is staying and Patty has been trying to get him to be her partner in crime for a while now.

And of course, we know Matt and Patty are supposed to be leaving town together, but Matt really doesn’t want to leave Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And at this point, Matt doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s very back and forth. He keeps putting Patty off, but at the same time, Matt doesn’t want her to hurt anybody.

So, he’s told her, “Don’t do anything crazy.” But I just don’t know if Patty and Matt are going to leave Genoa City together. And if Matt keeps postponing their exit out of town, we could have Patty lurking around the motel trying to see what Matt is up to understand the delay.

Patty in The Right Place at the Right Time on Y&R

So, this week we know Phyllis heads over to see Matt at the motel. That could be why Patty is hiding and watching. And while she’s looking at Phyllis and Matt, since they are in the very next room, she may also end up spotting Victoria and Kyle together. And it won’t take more than a second for Patty to realize, oh, I can use this to my advantage.

I mean, that is Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)’s son with Victor Newman’s daughter. And Patty will know that’s worth its weight in gold. So, I could see that Patty might snap some photos or a video of them coming and going for proof. And then Patty contacts Victor and says, “I know something that you really are going to want to know.”

And Patty may convince Victor to meet her and tells him, “I’m going to show you this, but this information doesn’t come for free.” Patty might even say, “Your daughter Victoria is betraying you” to entice Victor to meet her. That would definitely convince Victor to show up and hear what Patty has to say.

Young and Restless: Patty Wants Compensation

And I expect she wants Victor to reward her for this valuable info if she is the one who sees them. The question is, what would Patty want from Victor if she finds out about Kyle and Victoria? And what would Victor be willing to give Patty for telling him Victoria is having an affair with Kyle? Because if he gets the info, Victor can shut it down and then he can get some payback on Kyle.

Victor Helps Patty Disappear on Young and Restless

So, first of all, Patty might want Victor to help her disappear. I don’t think that he would want to get Patty pardoned or anything like that. Maybe not. And he might though be able to get the cops to call off the search for Patty. She’s a fugitive. There’s a manhunt. Eventually, Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) might find her.

So Patty might ask Victor to use his influence and tell them that she’s left town. Just move on. Let it go. You know, he’s rich. He’s influential. He could probably get the cops to just forget about Patty. And then Victor could set Patty up with a brand new identity, a new name, a new passport, all that stuff. Victor can throw Patty on the Newman private jet, drop her across the country somewhere far away from Genoa City.

Victor Tricks Patty on Y&R

And Victor could also make a deal with Patty. You know, Victor may want to make sure Patty never contacts anyone in Genoa City again unless Victor reaches out to her and wants Patty to do something. And Victor may threaten Patty and say, “You can never breathe a word of Victoria and Kyle’s fling to anybody.” That way, Patty and Victor both get what they want. Patty gets her freedom and Victor is in control of the information and he also will be in control of knowing where Patty is, knowing her new name, all that.

Alternatively, you know, Victor might tell Patty he’ll give her what she wants and then lock her up instead because he knows she’s dangerous. She shot Victor, nearly killed him before. So, he might tell Patty that he’s going to help her get away, put her on the jet, but really Victor drops her off, you know, at some fancy mental hospital for rich patients. That way, Patty would still be locked up, but Victor would be in control of it, getting reports from her doctors. It’d be more like a spa experience, not like Patty in a dank cell with bars and an orange jumpsuit.

Young and Restless: Victor Plays the Long Game

That way, Victor could use her to torment Jack later if he wants to let her out. So, even if Victor secretly sent Patty to a facility without warning her, I kind of think she’d appreciate it in a way. She might like that Victor put her in the lap of luxury. That would be much better than the maximum security facility where she was. And then if anyone found out that Victor helped Patty, you know, he could play hero and Victor say, “Yeah, I had her locked away to make sure Patty can’t hurt anybody again.”

Young and the Restless: Victor Targets Jack

Another thing to consider is Victor does something truly terrible because of how much he hates Jack Abbott. Obviously, Victor knows how much Patty wants Jack. So, Victor may repeat history and set it up for Patty to have Jack all to herself on a remote island. We can see Victor dump them there somewhere Jack can’t escape and that way he’ll never be around Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) again. Victor did something similar back in the day with Jack and Kelly.

You know, drop them in the middle of nowhere. They get supplies once a month. No way to get off. That way, Patty gets Jack and Victor gets rid of Jack and Patty both. And Jack could just disappear. Victor could play dumb like he knows nothing. Of course, Nikki, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), the Abbotts might suspect Victor, but they wouldn’t have proof. That would be a truly horrifying outcome for Jack, but of course, Patty would be thrilled.

Patty Gets a Full Pardon on Y&R

One last terrible thing to consider is Victor rewards Patty for letting him know that Kyle is getting involved with his precious daughter Victoria. And the reward is big. You know, Victor may buy Patty a full pardon. All the charges drop and then she’s free to go do whatever, at least until she’s caught again. She could make Jack and Diane miserable if she feels like it. But of course, Patty would probably still leave town, spend some time regrouping, planning her next move on Young and the Restless.

But then Jack and Diane would always be looking over their shoulders, waiting for Patty to strike, so they’d never feel safe. And knowing that Jack and Diane would remain anxious about Patty, that might make Victor happy and then he could just play dumb like he has no idea what happened with Patty or how she got a pardon. So, we’re going to see how it plays out.

Young and Restless: Victor Kills Patty?!

The other thing to think about is Patty calls Victor and says, “Look, Victoria and Kyle are hooking up.” And Victor says, “You’re talking crazy.” Patty’s like, “No, look.” And she sends him a couple of the pictures and says, “I have lots more. I’ll give it to you if you do X and Y for me.” And then Victor agrees to meet her and makes all these promises.

Then he just kills her just because she could implicate him because I still think he helped her get out of the psychiatric facility this last time. And that way Victor, his hands are clean and everybody will just think Patty ran off and Victor’s henchmen leave her in a ravine. I mean, we know somebody is going to find out Victoria is seeing Kyle secretly. And official The Young and the Restless spoilers say they catch feelings soon. And of course, Victor will really hate that.

Days of Our Lives hints that with her marriage in trouble, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) may soon make a big misstep with Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). They have been commiserating as friends, and there was nearly a Stephanie and Theo kiss, and it could turn into more than that.

And let’s get into the details about whether Stephanie and Theo may wind up having a one night stand really soon because there are red flags including a big hint from actor Robert Scott Wilson who plays Stephanie’s husband, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).

Days of our Lives: Theo & Stephanie’s Awkward Moment

So, at the moment, Theo and Stephanie still are just friends. But Theo and Stephanie have been confiding in each other quite a bit about their personal problems. Back in July, Theo and Stephanie had too much to drink and she invited him home with her as a friend and drunk Theo pulled off his shirt and he crashed half naked on her sofa.

And of course, it was super awkward because Alex came home from spending the night helping Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) over at the Salem Inn with Kelsey and Alex was stunned when he walked in and found Theo missing some of his clothes and on their couch.

Even though nothing happened between Stephanie and Theo, it still rubbed Alex the wrong way, understandably. Imagine if Stephanie had walked in and found Joy asleep on the sofa, not wearing all her clothes. And then a month later in August, Alex and Stephanie argued. That’s because Alex saw Stephanie cuddling up to Theo. I think that was when she saw him in the park.

Stephanie Forced to Move – Lands in Theo’s Bed on DOOL

And this was after more bad news came out about Joy and Stephanie had to move out of their apartment. So, she was crashing with Jada Hunter (Elia Kantu), but that time she couldn’t really stay because Jada and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) were having a whole romantic thing. So, Stephanie’s like, “No, I’ll leave you.” Went somewhere else. And then Theo insisted, Stephanie, come over to his place. In the end, she slept in Theo’s bed with him.

And this was not long after Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) had died. If you recall, Stephanie couldn’t go home because Alex had Kelsey at their place. And Stephanie didn’t want to drag her parents into her argument with Alex. So, that’s why Stephanie agreed to Theo’s kind offer of a place to stay. But come on, Stephanie could afford a room at the Salem Inn. She did not need to stay at Theo’s place. It was not appropriate. And the next morning, Stephanie woke up next to Theo.

Stephanie Crosses the Line on Days of our Lives

And yes, they didn’t cross lines then, but laying in bed with another man when you’re married, still crossing lines. Alex would have been furious if he’d known. Both those overnights with Theo and Stephanie have been between two supportive friends, but too much. After she spent the night at Theo’s, Stephanie lied to Alex’s face. That was when he asked her why Stephanie was in the same clothes she was in the day before. And I think she said she slept at her parents’ place. More recently, things got even more inappropriate when Stephanie ran into Theo at Small Bar.

That was after he put his letter of resignation on Johnny DiMera‘s (Carson Boatman) desk. So, Theo resigned because of all the dirty dealings going on at DiMera. Stephanie was really, really upset at Alex because she had just found out that Alex signed custody papers with Joy even though she added a stipulation that Stephanie had to stay ten feet away from Kelsey for an entire year, which is just downright cruel.

And Joy knew it was going to cause issues between Alex and Stephanie. Then she and Theo were boozing together yet again. And after Stephanie was ranting and drinking with him for a while, Theo said he’s always there to catch Stephanie. And Theo said he knew what it was like to want somebody that he could not be with.

Stephanie & Theo Get Closer on Days

And that was Theo referring to his unrequited crush on Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), who of course is now in the process of reuniting with Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). But Stephanie noted that Theo doesn’t break rules. And he told Stephanie that he did break them on rare occasions. And then Theo and Stephanie were doing this lean in sort of thing and it looked like they were about to kiss. But Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) came in looking for Stephanie’s PR advice and Theo decided now’s a good time to leave.

So, Paulina apologized for interrupting, but the way she reacted to Stephanie denying anything was happening suggests that Paulina saw Theo and Stephanie close to crossing a line. And you could tell it really bothered Theo that he almost kissed a married woman because Claire cheated on him. Remember? So then he confided in his sister Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and we saw Theo blurt out, “I almost kissed a married woman” and he told Lani he didn’t go through with it.

And she pointed out Theo did stop, but then he admitted to Lani he really wanted to kiss this woman, but he did not tell Lani that he was talking about Stephanie. And Theo did say the woman is in an unhappy marriage and deserved to be treated a lot better than she was getting.

Alex Gets Suspicious on DOOL

Then later, Alex ran into Theo and he told Alex he was real sorry to hear that Joy can’t move her legs. And so, of course, Alex wondered how Theo could have heard about that. And so, he told Alex he heard about Joy from Stephanie when Theo ran into her the night before. He told Alex that Stephanie was pretty upset about all of it. So, Alex made sure to let Theo know that everybody is upset about the Joy situation.

And then Alex said that although he and Stephanie are in a rough spot right now, they really love each other and are committed. They’re going to get through it. And Theo told Alex that he hopes they do get through what’s happening. However, it is quite clear that Theo really likes Stephanie. And Alex seems to be kind of catching on to this. He’s getting more suspicious of his wife Stephanie’s new friendship. And Alex’s jealousy over Stephanie and Theo honestly is classic Days of Our Lives.

Days of our Lives: Stephanie Makes a Mistake

Also, there was a little social media video that Days of Our Lives put out and Robert Scott Wilson was talking about Alex and Stephanie’s problems and who was to blame. And Robert Scott Wilson said that something is coming soon and he hinted that Stephanie does something bad and that that compounds the issues they’re having. So, Alex and Stephanie have fought about their jealousies.

When Alex mentioned her cuddling with Theo at the hospital, Stephanie clapped back about Alex getting way too close to Joy. But Alex has got to help Joy because of their daughter. But also, Alex cannot stand Stephanie leaning on Theo. And Stephanie can’t stand Alex letting Joy disrespect her. But to be fair, Stephanie shouldn’t have shot at her. It’s her fault that this is happening.

And when Alex finds out Stephanie and Theo almost kissed, or if he finds out Stephanie spent the night in a bed with Theo, I expect a showdown between Alex and Theo. And I do think there’s more to come between Stephanie and Theo because Joy is going to keep playing these games and Alex has no choice but to keep accommodating her because of Kelsey. Plus, Stephanie and Theo keep getting together to drink and to rant. And maybe next time, because Paulina saw them last time, they decide to have drinks at his place instead of Small Bar.

And that may be when we get a one night stand and they really cross the lines. For Stephanie, it might be a one and done mistake. Oh no, this is horrifying. I shouldn’t have done it. Nothing more. But I think Theo is catching feelings and this could cause way more problems for Alex and Stephanie’s marriage than anything that Joy Wesley has done so far.

1979 changed the world forever with Jaws, and suddenly every Boomer was afraid to even jump into a swimming pool just in case a great white shark was hiding somewhere in the deep end. It’s an irrational fear, but the movie is so perfect that we don’t feel irrational for having these thoughts. 2000’s Final Destination kicked off a franchise that made Millennials afraid of driving behind trucks that carry logs, which is, again, a totally irrational fear that we’ve all subscribed to because the imagery was so convincing. Sandwiched in between these two films is 1990’s Arachnophobia, which made it common practice for everybody and their mother to check their toilet bowl for spiders before sitting down … just in case.

The difference between Arachnophobia and the other films, however, is that this one is at least billed as a kinda sorta comedy, so there is an inherent level of ridiculousness that you can get behind so long as you’re still willing to scope out the bathroom situation after the fact because, yeah … spiders are creepy, and this is just generally a great and totally healthy way to live your life.

Side bar comment: I also check behind the shower curtain for intruders before I relieve myself, but that’s an exercise in futility because my pants are already down at this point, and if somebody’s actually hiding there, I’m pretty much screwed, but I digress …

The main point here is that Arachnophobia did for spiders what Jaws and Final Destination did for sharks and logs, and we’re better off for it because what a movie!

A Web Of Dies

In Arachnophobia, Dr. Ross Jennings (Jeff Daniels) relocates his family to the sleepy town of Canaima, California, expecting to take over the practice of retiring physician Dr. Sam Metcalf (Henry Jones). There’s just one problem: Metcalf decides he’s not retiring after all, leaving Ross with basically no patients and a very expensive new life to justify. Ross takes the setback surprisingly well, mostly because he finally has enough room to build the wine cellar he’s always wanted. Meanwhile, a deadly Venezuelan spider has hitched a ride to Canaima inside a coffin, which, for reasons that I cannot sit on the toilet without first checking the bowl for spiders, seems like a detail worth mentioning.

When people around town begin mysteriously dropping dead, Ross earns the unfortunate nickname “Dr. Death” because the deaths conveniently start happening around patients he’s recently seen, which isn’t exactly the kind of word-of-mouth advertising a new doctor needs. Eventually, Ross realizes the deaths aren’t medical screwups at all, but the work of an aggressive new breed of spider multiplying around town. That brings in exterminator Delbert McClintock (John Goodman), a certified blue-collar badass who approaches pest control with the confidence of a man who has never once considered that the thing he’s spraying might spray back, especially while sitting on the toilet.

With Ross finally vindicated, the problem becomes considerably worse because proving you didn’t kill everybody means acknowledging that Canaima is crawling with lethal spiders. That’s especially bad news for Ross, who suffers from severe arachnophobia and now has to confront the exact nightmare he’s spent his entire life avoiding. And for reasons that I cannot sit on the toilet without first checking the bowl for spiders, the movie is remarkably committed to demonstrating just how many places in your home you should never trust again.

Perfectly Ridiculous

Arachnophobia boasts the perfect blend of horror and comedy, making you want to laugh at yourself before sitting on the toilet after checking the bowl for spiders. It offers all of the classic slasher tropes, and is shot as such, but it’s still about spiders, so the whole thing feels like a bad dream where spiders ruin bathroom time on multiple levels.

If there’s any reason to watch this film, it’s John Goodman’s Delbert McClintock character. The dude is a straight-up blue-collar guy who’s seen it all. That is, until the spiders become less of a nuisance and more of a legitimate threat to the small California community. He still shows up with spray guns blazing, obviously prepped to pound a few road sodas on the ride home after what he’ll basically shrug off as “another day at the office.”

The fear depicted in Arachnophobia is both over-the-top and fully justified. The absolute horror of it all is always moments away from some sort of punchline or payoff, making the completely irrational fear I have about sitting on the toilet bowl feel validated. But I can still laugh at myself. The exact sequence of events playing out in this movie has happened exactly once, and it happened right here.

I’ve never been bitten on the butt while going to the bathroom. I probably never will. But the fear of it is one of the few things that actually makes me feel alive. I have Arachnophobia to thank for that.

Deion Sanders is ten toes back! Last week, the Colorado Buffaloes coach’s son, Deion Sanders Jr., uploaded footage of his dad trying on his new prosthetic toes. This comes several years after undergoing surgery for blood clots that were cutting off Deion’s circulation. He lost two toes in the process. Amid the update, Shilo Sanders hopped on the internet with jokes his dad could’ve predicted were coming!

Shilo Sanders Jokes About His Dad’s Toeless Foot

While trying on his prosthetic toes, Daddy Sanders mentioned that his son, Shilo, always messes with him about his baggy shoes from his missing toes. Deion also highlighted that the prosthetic nails looked nice and said it would take some time for his real toes and fake ones to become “friends.”

After Deion Jr. uploaded the footage, Shilo hopped on stream to give a live reaction, saying the toes “did a lot” for him. However, he joked about avoiding direct eye contact with his dad’s foot “for a long time” as well because it was “messed up.” But Shilo said the new toes seem to give Sanders new life!

“But I really do think that these toes bring him joy and whenever you look down for a long time, you can tell that he had so many memories with them.”

In The Shade Room’s comment section, the roommates were in tears over what Shilo had to say. Some predicted his reaction would come with a lil’ funny shade, while others got a good kiii over his exact words.

Hayden Panettiere’s Cause Of Death Reportedly Revealed

According to USA Today, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office has ruled the “toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, Alprazolam, Methocarbamol and Quetiapine” as the cause of death for the actor,  who passed away at 36. Furthermore, her manner of death was listed as accidental.

Per the outlet, fentanyl is a “synthetic opioid drug used to treat pain.” Alprazolam, or better known as Xanax, is used to treat anxiety, and methocarbamol treats “discomfort caused by acute (short-term), painful muscle or bone conditions.” In contrast, quetiapine is used for “schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression.”

As The Shade Room previously reported, Hayden Panettiere was reportedly found unresponsive at the Judson Mill Lofts in South Carolina on August 16. More recently, it was reported that the investigation into her death turned cross-country. Per The Shade Room, authorities were looking to determine if Panettiere “obtained illicit drugs from a dealer in Southern California.”

Around the time her body was discovered, it was reported that she had gone into cardiac arrest after a possible overdose. Furthermore, it was noted that CPR was performed on her. However, she was ultimately pronounced deceased.

Her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, reportedly gave authorities a bag of her medications while at the scene.

Last year, KWN sat down with Angie Martinez to discuss the many highs and lows throughout her growing music career. During one part of the interview, KWN was asked who her celebrity crush was and quickly named actress Keke Palmer.

Without hesitation, KWN made her feelings about the actress clear, emphasizing, “I like Keke.” Angie then asked what she liked about Keke, questioning if it was because she was “funny, sweet, and pretty.” KWN responded, “All three, all of the above,” agreeing with Angie that she likes someone who isn’t afraid of a big personality.

KWN Clears The Air About Keke Palmer Being Her Celebrity Crush

As of late, KWN sat down with Complex and was asked about previously naming Keke Palmer as her celebrity crush. The singer responded during the interview, “Do you know it was kind of a joke when I said that?”

The interviewer appeared shocked, questioning whether KWN was serious about it being a joke, given how invested she had been in her original answer. KWN continued, “Keke is a beautiful woman, but it was a joke,” before sharing more about what happened.

She explained that her team told her to name Keke before appearing on Angie Martinez’s show and discussing her celebrity crush. The interviewer then suggested that Keke was a safe answer because “everyone loves Keke,” and KWN agreed.

When asked who her real celebrity crush was, KWN instead named Alexa Demie, who played Maddy on ‘Euphoria.’

KWN Apologizes & Provides Context Amid Celebrity Crush “Joke” Backlash

KWN took to social media to address the backlash. The singer emphasized that the message was coming directly from her and not her team. She apologized to anyone she offended and revealed that she had also reached out to Keke Palmer privately.

“The word ‘joke’ was the wrong choice of words, and I hold my hands up and take full accountability of that. Wrong choice of words. I didn’t mean for it to be spun in this way,” she said.

KWN then provided more context, explaining that she was in a relationship last year and gave different answers to keep it private. She later publicly confirmed her relationship with Kehlani in October 2025.

“It’s been a bunch of interviews. I’m talking, like, four or five interviews a day, and every single interview, they’re asking me, ‘Who’s your celebrity crush? Who’s your celebrity crush?’ And I know what they were trying to get out of me. They were trying to get me to say the person I was dating… so that they could fuel the fire and fuel the rumors. So I was just saying a bunch of different women, just to try to stay away from my personal life,” she continued.

KWN recalled that her team suggested KeKe Palmer after seeing the celebrity crush question before her interview with Angie Martinez. She also clarified that KeKe and other women were never intended as the targets of her comments.

“KeKe Palmer’s a beautiful woman. Like, I never once discredited her… Black women were never the butt of the joke. Women in general were never the butt of the joke,” she added.

KWN ended by further explaining what she meant when she initially described the situation as a “joke.”

“The joke of it all was the person’s name I wanted to say was somebody I wanted to keep private in my life. So obviously I couldn’t say their name at the time,” she reiterated.

The terror that flaps in the night is back. Darkwing Duck, Disney’s greatest crime-fighting fowl, is getting a new animated reboot on Disney+. The series, which will be produced by Seth Rogen and his Point Grey Productions, has been in development for years, but now it finally has the green light from the streamer. We also finally know some more details about the series, including its star-studded voice cast. Darkwing Duck debuted in 1991; it told the tale of Drake Mallard, an average citizen of the city of St. Canard by day, and the masked vigilante Darkwing Duck by night. Bereft of any superhuman (or super-avian) powers, Darkwing Duck battles crime with the help of his wits, his array of high-tech vehicles and gadgets, his trusty sidekick Launchpad McQuack, and his youthful ward, Gosalyn.

The series starred veteran voice actor Jim Cummings as Darkwing Duck; he later returned in the 2017 DuckTales reboot as Jim Starling, an actor who plays the fictional Darkwing, and becomes the villainous Negaduck when he’s recast, while the new Darkwing becomes a vigilante for real. The new Darkwing Duck reboot will not follow up on that DuckTales plotline, but will instead serve as a sequel to the original series. As it opens, Drake Mallard (Hamill, Star Wars) has been trapped in an alternate reality where he was never a superhero. However, with the help of Duckie (Lilimar, Inside Out 2), a rebellious teenager, he finds his way back to heroics, and to Launchpad (Rogen), Gosalyn (Lizzy Caplan, Party Down), and his mystical lady love, Morgana. Unfortunately, he’s also got to face off against his old foes, including Megavolt and Negaduck.

Who Are the Creatives Behind the New ‘Darkwing Duck’?

The new Darkwing Duck is executive produced by Sean Tretta (Mayans MC) and Borja Peña Gorostegui (Lost and Crowned); Tad Stones, who created the original series, served as a consultant on the new series. Rogen will produce for Point Grey alongside Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Gabby Grantham. The series will also feature a number of new characters who will be played by Dan Stevens (Onslaught), Tiffany Shepis (Star Trek: Picard), Kathryn Newton (Freaky), Teo Briones (Final Destination Bloodlines), Tyler Dean Flores (Neon), Katie Rich (Saturday Night Live), and Nat Faxon (Super Troopers 3) as Officer Webb
