Everything To Remember From ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Before Its New 10-Part Sequel Premieres

Published

on

Characters from The Walking Dead, Black Mirror, and Foundation

Praise be! The wicked world of Gilead continues its religious oppression in The Testaments, the sequel series to The Handmaid’s Tale. Hulu’s adaptation of famed author Margaret Atwood’s 1985 dystopian thriller saw Elisabeth Moss in a career-defining performance as its main protagonist, June Osborne, aka Offred. Throughout its run, The Handmaid’s Tale won 15 Emmys, captivating millions of viewers across six nail-biting seasons.

One year after the series finale of The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments looks to be yet another timely tale about privilege and complicity told through a coming-of-age story, but how does it tie into its predecessor? Let’s take a look at everything you need to remember about The Handmaid’s Tale before watching the premiere of its sequel series.

How Does ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ End?

The final season of The Handmaid’s Tale was markedly much less tragic and painful than previous seasons, but it was not without moments that tugged at your heartstrings. Season 6 focused largely on the rebellion movement, as well as the efforts of June and the main resistance group, Mayday, to liberate Boston from Gilead’s oppression.

Episode 8 sees the Handmaids leading a massive rebellion during Serena’s (Yvonne Strahovski) marriage to Commander Wharton (Josh Charles), which began after a wedding cake laced with sedatives immobilized Gilead’s high society. Episode 9 takes a turn with Gilead’s retaliation through the capture of June and dozens of other Handmaids before efforts to murder them via public execution. However, at the perfect moment, the Mayday-led rebellion emerges and frees the women before slaughtering as many Commanders and Gilead army members as possible.

Then, in yet another triumph, June works with Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) to kill the most powerful remaining oppressors with an airplane bomb, which unfortunately involves the Commander sacrificing himself in the process, taking Nick (Max Minghella), the father of June’s second child, Nichole, along with him. June and the Handmaids finally win, liberating Boston and leaving Gilead the same empty shell its incarcerated Handmaids once were, for so long. Though Gilead is destroyed in Boston, it remains intact throughout the rest of America and is strategizing to maintain power.

In Episode 10, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” rebel forces mobilize to try to take the country back. June finally reunites with Nichole, and she and Luke (O-T Fagbenle) decide to end their marriage while vowing never to stop searching for their daughter, Hannah, who remains firmly in Gilead’s grip. Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) experiences a huge change in personal morality, no longer supporting the men of power in the oppressive regime, and after receiving June’s forgiveness, Serena sets out for a refugee camp with nothing but her infant son Noah and a plastic bag of personal belongings. Our one-eyed favorite, Janine (Madeline Brewer), is saved by June from an abusive Commander and reunited with her daughter, Charlotte, and Emily (Alexis Bledel) is also shown to be liberated from her circumstances.

As The Handmaid’s Tale ends, it takes things right back to the beginning, with June returning to the mansion where she once served as a Handmaid. There, she confidently begins to record her story, making it clear that Gilead will continue to fall across the United States, and that she will continue to fight undercover as part of the resistance until she finds Hannah.

‘The Testaments’ Takes Place Four Years After ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

The Testaments novel takes place more than 15 years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, but the TV adaptation will pick back up in the same world as its predecessor, set just four years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale finale. While the setting remains inside the Republic of Gilead, the plot doesn’t revolve around the Handmaids. Lydia’s evolution will continue as she moves from being a ruthless zealot and disciplinarian to a double agent desperately searching for a way to overthrow Gilead from the inside out.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, while Season 1 of The Testaments will shed light on Aunt Lydia’s life before Gilead through a series of “strategically placed flashbacks,” the sequel’s narrative largely centers on a completely different generation at an elite prep school where a group of young women, raised in luxury and advantage, are being groomed for marriage.

‘The Testaments’ Tells a New Coming-of-Age Story

Aunt Lydia’s school is more like an authoritarian refining academy, where young women are sent to learn how to carry out the various wifely duties expected of them as future spouses of Gilead’s most highly ranked Commanders. At this school, servitude and obedience are prioritized over education, and uniform colors are coordinated — the Pinks are the youngest girls, the Plums are older teens, and the Greens are the eligibles ready for marriage. The transition to Green only occurs if a Plum gets her period, which is marked by a public confession and praise ceremony.

Having grown up inside the regime as the daughter of a powerful Gilead leader, Agnes MacKenzie (Chase Infiniti), who is also June’s daughter, Hannah, knows no other lifestyle beyond the regime’s oppression and brutality. In training as a wife-to-be, Agnes is dutiful and pious; however, she changes her mind and decides to become an aunt instead of marrying her arranged husband. New arrival Daisy (Lucy Halliday), who is a few years younger than Agnes, enters Gilead and the school as a committed convert, but she is soon revealed to have ulterior motives.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

As the two young women navigate the opulent halls of an institute where obedience is brutally instilled with divine justification, they form an intense bond neither of them truly understands. It will soon become the catalyst for upending their past, present, and future, with Daisy’s honesty leading Agnes to question the world around her in ways that threaten to change her life forever.

Just like with The Handmaid’s Tale, don’t expect The Testaments to be a true adaptation. While it will draw on the novel’s main characters, their world, and their situations, the show is expected to take specific liberties to explore the characters’ lives beyond what just one novel could. Remaining a political cautionary tale, The Testaments feels like a warning against both complicity and complacency, as well as a love letter to friendship and an eye-opening reminder of the power of teenage girls to change the world.

The Testaments premieres April 8 with its first three episodes on Hulu.

‘Bob’s Burgers’ Celebrates 300 Episodes With Must-See New Loungefly Collection [Exclusive]

Published

on

When Bob’s Burgers returned for Season 16 last fall, it officially crossed the 300th episode milestone, an incredible feat for any series. Today, Collider is thrilled to team with Loungefly as the foremost fandom-merch brand launches a stunning new Bob’s Burgers collection to celebrate over 300 delicious episodes of erotic friend fiction, wonderfully punny burger specials of the day (“Baby You Can Chive My Car” is still a classic), Teddy hoping to desperately become Bob and Linda’s third, Gene’s keyboard skills, Louise’s adventures with Kuchi Kopi, and some seriously unexpected tears.

Launching today, Loungefly’s Bob’s Burgers collection is filled with easter eggs and must-haves for fans of the beloved sitcom. Today we’re delighted to bring you a first look at the new items, which include a classic mini-backpack, an over the shoulder bag, and a blind box selection of minibackpack charms. The true showstopper of the collection is the mini backpack shaped like everyone’s favorite burger restaurant, which retails at $90 USD. Loungefly packed the front and back full of iconic Bob’s Burgers imagery, from the lime green and yellow exterior, to the classic sign, to the family gathered out from. Take a peek at the back of the restaurant, where two raccoons (perhaps Little King Trash Mouth and his husband, Gary, or even Linda’s frenemy, Big Baby Pudding Snatcher) can be seen snacking away on top of the alley dumpster. Mini flying burgers — a nod to a painting displayed in the restaurant — decorate the straps, too!

Remember Big Bob and Little Bob? Well, Loungefly has their own version: Mini backpacks and even mini-er backpacks! You can now accessorize your accessories (a concept Gene would no doubt be a fan of) with your favorite Bob’s Burgers characters in bag charm form. Each mini backpack keychain charm is a mystery — you never know which one you’re going to get! Who needs a Labubu when you can dangle one of these bad boys off your bag. There are six in total to collect: Tina, Louise, Linda, Gene, Bob, and Teddy, and each bagcharm costs $20. Last, but certaily not least, the collection features a gorgeous Louise-themed crossbody bag. Retailing for $65, the bag is a happy medium of sorts between the other options in the collection, offering the perfect size to hold all your essentials while repping your favorite series. The bag features Louise’s signature look including her green fit and her pink bunny-eared hat; details like an image of Louise sitting on Bob’s shoulders on the back of the bag and a glow in the dark Kuchi Kopi coin purse truly take this piece over the top.

When Will ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Season 16 Return?

After a four-month hiatus, fans are eagerly awaiting more Bob’s Burgers, though a return date for Season 16 has yet to be confirmed by the network. Having crossed the 300th-episode milestone when the show returned for Season 16 last year, the animated sitcom is stronger than ever. The series has no plans for stopping anytime soon either. Back in April of 2025, Bob’s Burgers recieved a massive renewal for four seasons at once, taking the series through Season 19 on Fox and Hulu. The series is expected to return sometime this spring.

Bob’s Burgers airs on Fox. Order your favorite piece from the Loungefly collection today and stay tuned at Collider for more.

Taylor Swift Vegas Plans Trigger Showgirl Lawsuit

Published

on

Taylor Swift’s latest era may be heading toward Las Vegas, but not without controversy.

As rumors swirl about a potential residency tied to her “Life of a Showgirl” project, the pop superstar has been pulled into a legal dispute with a longtime Vegas performer.

What began as speculation about a Sin City run has now escalated into a trademark battle, with questions over branding, ownership, and whether two “showgirl” concepts can coexist.

Taylor Swift’s legal clash with Las Vegas performer Maren Wade reportedly caught many people off guard.

According to an insider, the move was unexpected, especially given Wade’s personality and background.

“It was definitely shocking to friends when the news came out,” the source told the Daily Mail, noting that Wade has spent years building her identity around Confessions of a Showgirl.

They clarified the distinction between the two concepts, adding, “Her show is Confessions of a Showgirl, not The Life of a Showgirl. It’s a little confusing, but she has been building this brand for over a decade.”

Wade’s lawsuit claims Swift’s Life of a Showgirl branding overlaps too closely with her own, potentially creating confusion.

She is now seeking to block Swift’s use of the name while also pursuing damages tied to the alleged impact on her business and reputation.

Swift’s Vegas Rumors May Have Triggered Legal Action

The timing of the lawsuit appears closely tied to growing speculation about Taylor Swift heading to Las Vegas.

Insiders have suggested that discussions about a residency are happening, even if nothing has been finalized.

“The rumors of a residency in Vegas are true, but nothing is set in stone when it comes to whether she will do anything at The Sphere, Caesars, Park MGM,” the source shared, adding that planning is still ongoing.

They explained that Swift is considering a limited number of performances rather than a traditional long-term residency, saying she is “eyeing seven dates” while keeping touring as her main priority.

For Wade, this buzz may have raised concerns about timing and visibility. As the insider put it, “If you can have a steady gig in Vegas, everyone’s going to want [a residency],” highlighting just how competitive the space has become.

Taylor Swift Branding Clash Raises Questions About Protection

Beyond the headlines, insiders suggest the lawsuit may not be about money at all. Instead, it could be a strategic move to safeguard Wade’s long-established brand before the Grammy Award winner potentially enters the same space.

“What she could be hoping to get out of this is to protect her brand, that she can continue,” the source explained.

They also hinted that the filing may have been preemptive, adding, “And maybe it was pre-emptive because obviously there are all these rumors that Taylor is coming to do a residency.”

The insider went further, suggesting Wade may be trying to secure her footing early, saying it could be her way of declaring, “Look, I need to protect my brand in my city.”

The legal filing itself echoes these concerns, arguing that Swift’s branding could confuse audiences and overshadow a concept the Las Vegas performer has been developing since 2014.

Swift’s Case Highlights Concerns Over Brand Confusion

At the center of the dispute is the potential overlap between “Confessions of a Showgirl” and “Life of a Showgirl”

Wade had already trademarked her concept years ago, and Taylor Swift’s later application was reportedly rejected due to similarities.

Despite that, the lawsuit claims the 36-year-old’s team continued using the branding. It states they “continued using it anyway, expanding it across a coordinated commercial program and distributing it through retail channels reaching millions of consumers.”

Wade also alleges that she was never contacted about the name, further fueling her argument that her work is being encroached upon.

Her legal team maintains that both projects are targeting the same audience, increasing the risk that her brand could be mistaken for Swift’s or overshadowed entirely due to Swift’s global reach.

Taylor Swift Gains Support As Maren Wade’s Intentions Are Debated

While the lawsuit has sparked debate, insiders insist Wade is not acting out of financial desperation.

Instead, they describe her as someone who is financially secure and not driven by a desire for a payout.

“It’s a surprise that she’s even going down this road. It doesn’t seem like her,” the source said, suggesting the decision may have come after outside influence.

They added, “It’s probably just someone said something to her like ‘people are going to start confusing you.’”

The insider was clear about Wade’s character, stating, “She’s not the type to be like, ‘I want to get millions out of Taylor Swift.’”

They continued, “She’s not a malicious person and she’s not a money grabber…”

Taylor Swift, who has built an extensive trademark portfolio, has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.

However, she has received support from Gayle King, who said she was “Team Taylor” and added, “I don’t believe Taylor Swift looked at that album cover and thought ‘I’m going to do something with that.’”

Meanwhile, Wade continues to stand by her claim that her brand is worth protecting as both women remain tied to the same “showgirl” spotlight.

Melissa Gilbert Explains Gifts to Boys in Timothy Busfield Case

Published

on

Melissa Gilbert is continuing to share what she claims is her side of the story three months after her husband, Timothy Busfield, was arrested amid allegations of child sexual abuse.

In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on Nightline Monday, April 6, Gilbert, 61, was asked about reports that she and Busfield, 68, gave Christmas gifts to the two boys at the center of Busfield’s case.

“I’ll let Larry get into the specifics of what happened with that part of the complaint,” Gilbert responded, turning to Busfield’s attorney, Larry Stein, who was interviewed alongside her.

“Tim did not give the boys gifts. Melissa gave them gifts,” Stein said. “Melissa gave them and every other child at a Christmas party a gift. Every child at the Christmas party. Not treating them special or different than anyone.”

Melissa Gilbert is standing by her decision to defend husband Timothy Busfield after he was arrested on allegations of child sexual abuse. In a clip from her upcoming interview with Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos, Gilbert, 61, called Busfield’s arrest “the most traumatizing experience of our lives.” “Our life as we knew it is done,” […]

According to Stein, the twin brothers accusing Busfield of inappropriate touching on the set of Fox’s The Cleaning Lady are “victims in this case,” and the allegations were orchestrated by the boys’ parents after their roles were recast on the show.

“They are victims of the parents, not victims of Tim. … The boys were the parents’ meal ticket, and when they were fired, they assumed Tim was responsible for it. The truth is he was not,” Stein alleged.

Stephanopoulos said that the family of the alleged victims did not respond for comment prior to the interview airing.

In the first part of the interview that aired during the Monday episode of Good Morning America, Gilbert was asked about prior accusations made against Busfield from 1994 and 2012.

“I need to make something really abundantly clear,” she said. “These allegations have been out in the ether for a really long time. When Tim and I got together, the internet existed. I didn’t go into my relationship with him blind. I am neither naive nor am I complicit. I talked to him about it, I asked him questions about it. I heard his side of the story — which no one has ever heard — which is the truth. And when the time is right, and that is not now, Tim will tell the truth of all of these past allegations when he needs to.”

Gilbert shared that she is “100 percent confident” that Busfield will be exonerated, but said that the pair “have to be prepared for all scenarios.”

UPDATE 1/21/26, 11:45 a.m. ET: Timothy Busfield‘s wife, Melissa Gilbert, is celebrating his release from jail before his child sex abuse trial. Following the judge’s decision on Tuesday, January 20, Busfield’s civil attorney Larry Stein told People that the actor “feels wonderful,” as does his wife, who is “very, very excited.” Gilbert was seen in […]

“We hope the remainder of the interview airing on tonight’s Nightline will make clear that the parents are criminals: one served more than three years in jail and lost their license to practice law for defrauding 1,500 people of $6,000,000, and the other for writing bad checks and stealing cars,” the statement continued.

Us Weekly confirmed in January that an arrest warrant was issued for Busfield after he was accused of child sexual abuse by two twin brothers on the set of The Cleaning Lady. Busfield turned himself into law enforcement days later and denied the allegations.

Gilbert, for her part, came to Busfield’s defense in a statement at the time. (Gilbert and Busfield have been married for 12 years.)

“During this period, her focus is on supporting and caring for their very large family as they navigate this moment,” her rep told Us. “Melissa stands with and supports her husband and will address the public at an appropriate time.”

Busfield’s attorney, Stein, told Us in a statement that the actor was “innocent,” claiming that the accusers’ mother made the allegations in an effort to “get her revenge against Timothy” after her son was fired from the production.

Busfield was released from police custody in January and was indicted by a grand jury in New Mexico on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child the next month. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and is set to begin trial in May 2027.

Apple TV’s Secret Sci-Fi Masterpiece Officially Sets Season 2 Release Date With First Images

Published

on

03183943_poster_w780-3.jpg

Apple TV has developed quite a reputation when it comes to sci-fi TV shows. For a few years, the most popular sci-fi show on Apple TV was Severance (starring Adam Scott), but it lost this title last year, thanks to the premiere of Pluribus, the hit series starring Rhea Seehorn that was written by Vince Gilligan (creator of Breaking Bad). New seasons of both Severance and Pluribus are both on the way, though it may be a while before they arrive. It’s already been a big year for Apple TV in the sci-fi department, thanks to the premiere of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2. The show stars Wyatt Russell and Kurt Russell as younger and older versions of the same character, and it directly connects to the MonsterVerse movie franchise.

Dark Matter is based on the critically acclaimed sci-fi novel of the same name, penned by Blake Crouch. The series stars Joel Edgerton as Jason Dessen, a man who is kidnapped on his way home from the bar one night, only to wake up in a world he no longer recognizes. Jennifer Connelly also stars in the sci-fi show as Daniela, Jason’s wife, who proves to be a vital part of getting him back home. The first season of Dark Matter was a smash hit for Apple TV, and although it adapted the entirety of Crouch’s novel, the show was renewed for a second season. Dark Matter Season 2 will take the story into uncharted territory, but with Crouch still at the helm as the lead writer and showrunner, fans can rest easy knowing the story is moving forward with his full approval. This afternoon, Apple TV announced that Dark Matter Season 2 will premiere on August 28.

What Is ‘Dark Matter’ Season 2 About?

In addition to announcing the premiere date for Dark Matter Season 2, Apple TV has also released an official synopsis for the show’s sophomore season, which reads as follows:

“The Dessens are building a quiet life in a seemingly safe world when the unimaginable happens, and they’re forced to leave. As Jason’s obsession with the Box builds, Daniela’s paranoia pushes her over the edge. Meanwhile, Amanda and Ryan start working together to get home, and Leighton pursues his grand dream of building a perfect world.”

It sounds like Dark Matter will continue the series trend of multiversal adventures, but in Season 2, fans will no longer have any source material to compare to what’s happening on the small screen. The fate of the show beyond Season 2 has yet to be decided and will likely depend on viewership and reception. Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi and Oakes Fegley will all return to star, with Blake Crouch, Jacque Ben-Zekry, and Matt Tolmach producing.

Check out the first season of Dark Matter on Apple TV, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Season 2.

Netflix’s ‘One Piece’ Is Getting a Massive Expansion Starting This Fall

Published

on

one-piece-poster.jpg

Against all odds, Netflix and One Piece have proven to be perfect partners. The streamer embarked on a gargantuan undertaking when ordering a live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda‘s massively creative and globally beloved pirate manga with elaborate sets and a lengthy call sheet, yet it’s all paid off so far. Season 2 aired less than one month ago and managed to surpass the success of its already-acclaimed first run, taking viewers into the dangerous waters of the Grand Line, earning a perfect 100% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes along the way, and sailing to the top of the English streaming charts. In response to the overwhelming show of support, the platform is now opening up the hatches and preparing to release new ways to experience the story of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates.

The streamer confirmed today that three new projects in the One Piece universe were on the way, including Season 3 of the live-action series, which wrapped production back in February. With a new graphic backed by sand dunes, it announced that the new run of episodes will be titled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, signaling that, as teased, the season will largely revolve around the desert kingdom that Vivi (Charithra Chandran) calls home. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew will be caught in the middle of a rebellion with Crocodile (Joe Manganiello), one of the seven warlords and the leader of Baroque Works who was finally fully revealed at the end of Season 2, secretly pulling the strings. This high-stakes new chapter that will see the pirates grapple with a mounting civil war and seemingly impossible decisions was also confirmed to premiere in 2027, with Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes now serving as showrunners. All the main cast of Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, and Mikaela Hoover will reprise their roles as the Straw Hats.

Beyond the live-action series, a new LEGO One Piece animated special was announced with a first-look image spotlighting Usopp and Chopper in a new, brick-shaped form. This will be a Netflix first, hailing from a partnership between LEGO Group, Shueisha, and Atomic that revisits the first two seasons with humor, thrills, and action befitting the brick-building toy company. It’s sailing onto the platform very soon too, premiering on September 27 as a two-part adventure billed as both a jumping on point for newcomers to One Piece and veterans looking to re-experience the adventure in a new way. New physical collectible LEGO sets based on Season 2 are also coming, but more info will be shared sometime soon.

‘One Piece’s New Anime Adaptation Gets a Stunning New Look

Last but not least, as far as productions go, Netflix also gave a new look at the new anime remake, The One Piece. First announced back in 2023, the series is meant to modernize the East Blue Saga, given that it’s been 27 years since the currently ongoing original anime adapted the opening arc of Luffy’s journey. WIT Studio is handling the animation with cutting-edge visual technology to bring it up to the standards of current hit series and create another bridge into the wider One Piece story for new viewers. The new image is just a tease of the fresh, water-color-like art style, with Luffy, Nami, Zoro, and Usopp all staring out over the ocean.

In addition to all of that, fans can visit the new One Piece hubs on Tudum and Netflix itself to get updates on everything going on in the franchise, listen to the official companion podcast on major podcast platforms for behind-the-scenes looks, and grab official merchandise from brands including NERF, Hot Topic, Penguin Random House, Moose Toys, Funko, and more. Netflix House Philadelphia also has a special escape room experience, Quest for the Devil Fruit, alongside photo ops, exclusive merch, and more to experience the wonders of the Grand Line first-hand. It’s again a testament to how the streamer has gone to great lengths to expand One Piece in ways never thought possible around the world. Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee hailed the company’s efforts as a way to truly make the Straw Hats’ universe all-encompassing for fans of all kinds.

“The passion of the ONE PIECE fandom is unparalleled—spanning generations, they’ve turned our live-action series into a true global phenomenon that continues to top the Netflix charts. We are massive fans too, which is why we’re going bigger than ever to bring the Grand Line to life across every medium. From the epic high stakes of One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta in 2027 to our first-ever LEGO animated special this September, a stunning anime reimagining with The One Piece, and an expanded line of products so fans can bring the adventure home, we are building a universe where every fan—whether lifelong or brand new—can find their place in the Straw Hat crew.”

One Piece will expand with the new Netflix LEGO special on September 27 and Season 3 of the live-action series in 2027. A release date has not yet been announced for The One Piece. Check out the new LEGO special teaser in the player above and new images in the gallery below.

Quavo Reacts After Offset Shot Outside Florida Casino

Rihanna Seemingly Addresses Baby Rumors, Talks "Little Pouch"

Offset was reportedly shot on Monday (April 6) near a Florida casino. Though he’s reportedly in stable condition now, fans immediately flooded social media with well-wishes and mentions of Takeoff, who died in a shooting in 2022. Amid the reactions, Quavo shared a post in what appeared to be a response to the incident.

More Details About Offset Shooting & Condition

According to The New York Times, the shooting happened outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Local police reportedly said the incident happened after 7 p.m. in the valet area of the property. The shooting is still under investigation, but at least two people were detained. It’s unclear if they remain in custody or what circumstances led to the shooting. In a statement shared with TMZ, which broke the story, a Seminole Police rep said the site was secured after the shooting and that there was no additional threat to the public.

As for Offset, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL. The rapper’s spokesperson, Nathalie Moar, told NYT in an email that he’s in a stable condition at the hospital. A spokesperson also confirmed to The Shade Room that Offset is “stable and being closely monitored.”

In recent months, there’s been reports of Offset spending excessive time at casinos. In January, a viral video showed Celina Powell laid up with Offset in what looked like a hotel room. Days later, Powell accused the rapper of owing her $15,000 and threatening her “almost every day” over it. “If anything happens to me OFFSET did it,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. Not long after, the internet trolled the former Migos rapper when footage circulated of him and Bobby Shmurda in a casino, with ‘Set wearing a Hard Rock Casino hoodie.

Quavo Shares Post Amid Casino Shooting

To be clear, Quavo has not released any statements directly addressing Offset’s shooting. It’s also unclear if he’s privately spoken to his former group member. On Monday night, he posted a praying hands emoji on his IG Stories. He has not shared any additional posts or details since. Recently, Quavo appeared to be vacationing in Brazil, as he’s shared visuals in the South American country on his profile.

Leading up to and after Takeoff’s passing, there were reports of tension between Offset and Quavo, though they seemed to eventually reconcile. In 2024, for example, Quavo posted about a “good convo” he had shared with his “bro,” tagging ‘Set.

Also, last year, ‘Set clarified that his and Quavo’s fallout didn’t have anything to do with the ex-girlfriend, Saweetie or a secret affair. Those rumors, he said, were an attempt to “tear”down his situation, likely referring to his failed marriage to the mother of his three youngest kids.

“No, man. It was a rumor, man,” Offset told Keke Palmer in an interview. And I feel like it was something deeper than that for the split of me and bro.”

Fans Recall Passing Of Takeoff Amid Offset’s Shooting

As mentioned, Offset is now the second former Migos member to be shot in recent years. While comments from his rep suggest he’ll recover, that wasn’t the case with Takeoff in November 2022. Take passed away outside of a Houston bowling alley after bullets struck him in the head and torso. Quavo, who is Takeoff’s uncle, was present during the shooting. The incident happened just weeks after the new duo, Unc & Phew, had released a joint album ‘Only Built for Infinity Links.’ Patrick Xavier Clark was detained as a suspect, then indicted for murder and is scheduled to go on trial later this year.

Following Offset’s shooting on Monday, fans rushed to social media with thoughts and prayers. In The Shade Room’s comment section, the roommates repeatedly referenced Takeoff’s death, the tragedy it was and hopes of history not repeating itself.

@pink.mafia, for example, wrote: “Already lost Takeoff no way we losing Offset bruh u strong.”

“We don’t like his personality, but don’t want another migo gone. 😭 get well soon,” @_nostalgia3_ added.

“Can’t lose another migo manee😢,” @kalothe1 commented.

“In the same type of environment takeoff died in , like wake up bruh, time to leave certain sh*t alone,” @theofficialyoungreid said.

“Thank God he’s good. We’ve lost enough to gun violence,” @kimmymar wrote.

More On The Allegations Of Pooh Shiesty Robbing & Kidnapping Gucci Mane

As The Shade Room previously reported, the FBI raided the family home of Pooh Shiesty on Wednesday, April 1. By the end of the day, the rapper’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., and the rapper himself were arrested. On April 2, the U.S. District Attorney’s Office in Northern Texas revealed that the pair and seven others allegedly kidnapped and robbed Gucci Mane and two others on January 10, 2026, per The Shade Room.

RELATED: UPDATE: Criminal Complaint Against Pooh Shiesty & His Conspirators Surfaces With Alleged Gucci Mane Kidnapping Details (SEE HERE)

Last week, Williams Sr. and four other suspects appeared in a Memphis court for a detention hearing, per The Shade Room. During the hearing, prosecutors alleged that Williams Sr. helped his son orchestrate Pooh, forcing Gucci Mane to sign a music release contract at gunpoint. In turn, the defense questioned the presence of guns, citing the alleged absence of video surveillance.

Ultimately, Williams Sr. was granted a $250,000 bond and ordered to be placed on house arrest. However, it remains unclear whether he has been released from police custody.

“… After the bond hearing on Mr. Williams Sr. and the testimony we reviewed, it appears that there is a significant gap in the statements made by the government and the actual evidence. As such, we have been reviewing those issues in anticipation of Mr. Williams, Jr.’s bond hearing,” Pooh Shiesty’s lawyer subsequently told XXL.
