General Hospital: 5 Steamy New Romances Heating Up GH This Summer!
General Hospital suggests some new couples that may be pairing up soon. From a new romance for Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to a surprising one for Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean Parsons). We’re going to talk about several pairings that may spark during July sweeps.
General Hospital: Ava and Ethan’s Potential Romance
And now let’s dive into some new romantic pairings that I am pretty excited to see manifest. The first pair I want to talk about is Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Ethan Lovett. Now already you’ve probably noticed these two have a little vibe happening. There’s some chemistry there. Even though Ava is leveraging Ethan’s secret that he is Phoebe’s father, there is something genuine there. Plus, he’s clearly hiding something.
And with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) just warning Ethan about Ava, that to me was a red flag that there’s more to come between her and Ethan. I think they would actually be a fun pairing. Ava is of course a she-villain who’s a little bit reformed and Ethan’s a con man who doesn’t seem interested in reform and Ava does like a bad boy and it certainly wouldn’t be the first time she’s been with a younger man.
Over the years, Ava had romances with Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen), and she recently had that fling with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), although he was paid by Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) to seduce Ava. So, Ethan with Ava would be pretty normal for her.
Honestly, I think Ethan and Ava would be a lot of fun. They have that banter and chemistry, and I could totally see GH putting them together. Plus, it would really annoy Sonny if Ava got with his latest henchmen. And I think Sonny deserves a little sass from Ava for always using Avery Corinthos (Scarola twins) as leverage in every situation.
General Hospital: Ric and Alexis – A Reformed Love Story
Next, let’s talk about Ric Lansing and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). And of course, we know Ric is with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) right now, and he is madly, madly in love with her, but it is also pretty clear that GH is heading towards Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) pairing up with Liz. So, with Liz’s attention elsewhere and Ric spending time with Alexis, planning the big party for Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), you can also see their chemistry on display.
Fans really like the Ric and Alexis pairing because honestly, they’re hilarious when they pick at each other. No doubt they have a rocky past. We all know that. Ric was pretty awful back in the day and he hurt Alexis as well as other people. But Ric has truly changed and he and Alexis have this easy natural vibe and not just romantically. They’re a fun pair. They enjoy provoking each other and you can’t look away from any Ric and Alexis scene.
And there might have been a little foreshadowing when Cody recently asked Molly if she thought her parents would get back together and she seemed horrified. But Ric and Alexis have a fan base. They have a smoosh name, Rexis. And now that Ric is reformed and Alexis is on a good path, I think it could work. The kidnapping that he went through by Kristina, Alexis, and Ava, I think taught him a lasting life lesson. And Alexis is sober. She’s not doing any crimes right now. And she got her law license back. They’re both in a good place. Plus, we might even see Ric joining Alexis’s law practice. That could be really cool.
Dante and Elizabeth – Chemistry in the Shadows
And tied to the Ric and Alexis pairing, of course, would be Dante and Elizabeth. Even though she is giving romance with Ric another chance right now, we haven’t seen Liz in scenes with Ric in quite a while. Almost all of Liz’s screen time has been with Dante over the past, I don’t know, month or so. Even this week, as he prepared to leave town to go save Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), he came to see Liz.
Dante has been venting to her about Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening). He’s been confiding in Liz and asking advice. And Dante’s leaving for who knows how long, but he didn’t stop to see Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) or Sonny. No, he went to see Liz. GH is clearly throwing Dante and Liz together, and their chemistry is incredible. And once Rocco is back home and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) takes back the role of police commissioner, maybe Dante will finally see if Liz might go out with him.
Dante was already kind of bummed when he heard Liz was back with Ric. So something has to happen to get Liz away from Ric first. That’s very clear. And with Sonny going to war with Sidwell and Ric staying loyal to his brother, the mob stuff might be a deal breaker for Liz and maybe she takes a step back. Dante and Elizabeth already have a fan following as well, so this seems like a no-brainer for General Hospital to go ahead and explore.
Tracy and Martin – Enemies to Lovers on GH
Next, I want to talk about Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). It has been a minute since she had a relationship. The closest thing she’s had since Luke’s death was her very close friendship with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), who of course passed away. Although, I will say I think he was a little too nice for Tracy. She needs somebody with an edge to them like Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) had. And that’s why I think she should wind up with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), who is supposed to be back soon.
Tracy and Martin don’t like each other. They are always at each other’s throats. They have each actively tried to destroy the other on several occasions that I can think of. Tracy and Martin bring out the worst in each other and that’s why they are absolutely hilarious together. However, I thought that they seemed to soften up a little bit when Tracy showed up at Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) place during the big blizzard this winter when people got locked in together, remember? And she got stranded with Martin for a little bit. And they both need love. And soaps are known for doing enemies to lovers.
General Hospital: Joe Fitzpatrick and Lucas Jones – New Beginning
So, the last pair to talk about is Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis). Now, we know Joe came to town single, and fans thought he was about to ask Lucas out on a date the other day, but it turns out Joe was asking Lucas a medical question about the syringe he found at Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) place. So, Joe’s new to Port Charles. He has his hands full with police business.
Plus, Lucas is still grieving and he’s still chasing revenge on Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). And as you know, Lucas wants revenge for Cullum killing the man that he loved. But that should all resolve pretty soon. And then Lucas may be in a place to finally consider a new romance. And Joe’s going to need a love interest eventually. And I suspect that he might have been brought on intending for him to wind up with Lucas.
And once Cullum is taken down, I do think Lucas will be on a road where he’s healed enough to consider going out on a date and giving romance another shot. And I will say I’ve always liked him with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), but I don’t think he would go there again. And of course, Lucas right now still loves and is grieving that loss to some extent, but eventually Lucas will move on. And handsome cop Joe could be the one to help him get past his sadness. And remember that life is for the living.

Support Campaign Backs Nolan Wells’ Alleged Friends
A fundraiser created by Benjamin Hudson, with funds set to be received by Taylor and Cox Law Firm, P.A., was recently launched to support Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, Morgan Seymour, and others connected to Nolan Wells. According to the fundraiser, the group has endured harassment, death threats, doxxing, and defamation since Nolan’s death, with organizers claiming the young men have been “falsely and wrongly blamed” online and in the media despite cooperating with investigators. The page also alleges that some of Nolan’s friends were unable to attend his funeral. Organizers say safety concerns tied to the backlash prevented them from being there.
Wells’ Friends Fight Back Against Alleged False Claims
The fundraiser states that its goal is twofold: to help cover legal expenses related to any potential wrongful death lawsuits filed by attorney Benjamin Crump and his team, and to fund legal action against individuals and organizations the organizers accuse of spreading defamatory statements. However, the page argues that the campaign is not intended to silence differing opinions. Rather, organizers say the campaign aims to address what they describe as targeted harassment, false claims, and intimidation. They also say the effort seeks to push back against misinformation surrounding the case.
Support Campaign Passes $62K Milestone
As of now, the fundraiser has raised $62,362 toward its $100,000 goal. Organizers are asking supporters who believe in “truth, due process, and…the rule of law” to donate. Furthermore, they say the effort is meant to help those they believe have been unfairly targeted. They claim this comes amid the ongoing conversation surrounding Nolan Wells’ death.

Spoiler Alert: This list contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.The newest installment in the Tom Holland Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is finally here, and it is considered the best of the franchise. This fourth Spidey production in the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t just a great film, but it is a gigantic treat for any fan of the Wall-Crawler’s comic book mythology.
It’s more than clear that Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton love the source material, and that not only shows through the quality of the movie, but also in the cameos they include. There are plenty of characters in this project that are not only references to classic niche Spidey villains, but also other MCU characters and notable actors in the industry.

Cindy Moon
Comic book fans know the one and only Cindy Moon as one of the newer additions to the Marvel Comics Spider-Family, Silk. However, many may not realize that the character actually is part of the MCU, first introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and surprisingly makes a return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
When Peter Parker attends the university being taught by Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) at Empire State University, Cindy happens to be in the class and gets a little featured moment. This is an incredibly small cameo, but it’s interesting that, of all Peter’s old classmates to find themselves in the project, they chose Cindy… Who knows, a Silk project was in the works for a while, so this could be some subliminal messaging from Sony and Marvel Studios.

Ramrod
Right off the bat, when Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins, a montage kicks off that depicts where Peter has been in the four years since Spider-Man: No Way Home. During this, fans of the Spider-Man comic books get to see some quick recreations of classic books from the hero’s mythology, which includes some niche villains.
Even some fans of the source material might not know who Ramrod (Billy Clements) is, and no one would blame them for it. For one quick moment, Spidey fans get to see the recreation of Amazing Spider-Man #221 (1981) — an iconic and memorable Ramrod cover. This is just one of a good couple of comic book cover recreations, and it’s a very fun one. It’s one thing to utilize bigger foes in a sequence like this, but giving some attention to the smaller players is abundantly respectable. Everyone knows Scorpion, but who knows Ramrod? That’s right, no one.

Tarantula
Another Spider-Man villain that is smaller and may not be known by a few is Tarantula. Within the opening montage, Cretton brings the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #134 (1974) to the screen. Anton Miguel Rodriquez is a classic foe who, in the original appearance, was a very political character. Creator Gerry Conway (may he rest in peace) cited the political upheavals in South America during the 1970s as part of the inspiration for the character.
With a history like this, it’s fun that the director decided to introduce him to the MCU and bring some variety in for the enemies of the movie universe. The Tarantula mantle would go on to be carried on by a few others throughout the years, so he has a more prominent role in the books than the likes of Ramrod, making this a special appearance for the smaller number of fans of him.

Sheila Rivera
After the events of Daredevil: Born Again — where Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) was finally arrested and lost his position as mayor — someone needed to take up the mantle of the leader of New York City, and Sheila Rivera (Zabryna Guevara) was perfect. Acting only in the television series before this, the newest Spider-Man movie is her first MCU cinema appearance.
When it’s quickly shown that Spider-Man received the key to the city, the one to give it to him is Rivera herself. When Fisk was arrested, she became acting mayor, and it’s cool to see that was still the case in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. With people pretty much begging to see more street-level heroes in the world of the Web-Slinger, it’s a treat to see another character aside from Punisher (Jon Bernthal) from Daredevil: Born Again appear.

“The Boyfriend”
After appearing as the fan-favorite Star Wars character, Ezra Bridger, in the Disney+ streaming series Ahsoka, actor Eman Esfandi became a lot more well-known to general geekdom. Only appearing once, Esfandi plays Michelle Jones-Watson’s (Zendaya) new boyfriend, who brings a lot of emotional conflict for Peter Parker. It causes him so much distress that he goes for a swing and falls a little too far before thwipping another web, making it pretty obvious how much hurt he’s feeling.
A lot of people assumed that if Cretton and co. were going to bring Esfandi in to play a character, he’d be a lot more of an important role, but the actor makes a pretty small appearance. So small, in fact, that he doesn’t even get a name in the credits. One can only hope that, moving forward, “The Boyfriend” becomes more of an important character, bringing more emotional conflict to the story between Michelle and Peter. He could be a great antagonistic figure in the next project, with Michelle possibly being part of a future love triangle between the three.

Boomerang
One of the goofiest and most fun smaller Spider-Man villains is the one and only Boomerang. Recently, the boomerang-wielding baddie had a great role in the main plot of Amazing Spider-Man (2018), in which Peter has to actually be a roommate to the classic Spidey villain. While he is commonly treated as a joke — his role in Amazing Spider-Man (2018) was hilarious—he can also be a very dangerous guy who has, on occasion, given the hero a run for his money.
This is another character that gets a one-shot moment in the opening montage, but is a special treat for readers who have been invested in the Wall-Crawler for a while. This almost makes one wish that they could have given a little more action to the blue-clad bad guy. Maybe one day in the future, right, Kevin Feige? With the fifth Spider-Man movie hopefully on the way soon, Boomerang is a potential villain who could be considered for the next rogues roster.

Tombstone
While the web-swinging Wall-Crawler has a long history of fighting the New York City underground crime ring, which is primarily led by Wilson Fisk, one of his other crime lord baddies, Tombstone — played by Marvin Jones III in Spider-Man: Brand New Day — is extremely underrated. Being a main antagonist in the legendary The Spectacular Spider-Man television show, fans really enjoy this tough-as-nails crime boss who’s got a strong grip on the underworld of New York City.
He gets a cameo — which is longer than most of the other villains in the montage — at the top of the film, where he and Spidey trade a couple of lines of dialogue with each other. Spider-Man fans have said for quite some time that if he isn’t going to face Kingpin in the MCU, they should bring in Tombstone. Finally, they have, and they’d be smart to bring him back in the future, especially with an acting titan like Marvin Jones III. With Fisk in jail now, he also may be the only option, at least for the time being. He’s a bit stronger than the other crime lord, as well, with nearly impenetrable skin, making him an extremely difficult foe to face on a physical level. A toe-to-toe confrontation was hinted at in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but if fans and general audiences get lucky enough, they’ll actually get to see a confrontation in the future — so long as they go and greenlight another Spidey movie.

Yelena Belova
Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) has become a total fan-favorite ever since she was introduced in Black Widow and then became even more of a main character in 2025’s Thunderbolts*. Peter and Yelena are, in some ways, very similar, and a crossover between them was a great idea. While their two interactions in the movie aren’t super long, they have some great interactions, and their dynamic is perfect.
This also really hones in on the fact that Spidey is far more street-level now, with the New Avengers leader considering Peter’s issues as “small potatoes”. It’s also a real treat to see that the young hero still has some connections with the big dogs in The Avengers. Yelena’s two cameos are such a fun time, and not only that, but they also convey some extremely important information within the plot, making them not just moments for a giggle or two, but genuinely integral inclusions.

With back-to-back blockbusters The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, stars Zendaya and Tom Holland are having a tremendous 2026. This weekend alone, the two movies are powering the domestic box office to a record-breaking $400 million-plus haul combined. Spider-Man: Brand New Day shattered expectations to deliver approximately $350 million in its stateside debut, and nearly $1 billion worldwide. This is the second-biggest opening frame in history, behind Avengers: Endgame‘s $357 million domestic and $1.2 billion worldwide debut in 2019. Zendaya’s 2026 is arguably more successful than Holland’s; she also headlined the final season of HBO’s Euphoria and the sleeper hit film The Drama. She will conclude the year with Dune: Part Three, which will likely emerge as a hit, too.
Zendaya appears in a memorable extended cameo as Athena in Christopher Nolan‘s epic, which opened to universal acclaim two weeks ago. After two full weeks of release, The Odyssey has grossed $911 million at the worldwide box office. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s private wedding vows reportedly gave their guests a deeply personal look at the relationship behind one of the world’s most famous couples. Maren Morris was among the approximately 1,000 people invited to the couple’s July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The country singer has now shared new details about the lengthy vows, revealing that Swift and Kelce balanced heartfelt admissions with the playful humor that defines their relationship.
Morris described the couple’s exchange of vows as “beautiful” while speaking exclusively with PEOPLE. “It just felt like you really got a closer look into their love for each other and their sense of humor,” the 36-year-old singer said.
Swift and Kelce reportedly read vows that lasted approximately 20 minutes each, allowing their friends and relatives to hear the intimate details of their love story.
Morris, who is friends with Swift and has previously collaborated with her musically, said being included in such a significant moment was deeply meaningful. “Being one of 1,000 people that witnessed that, it was an honor,” Morris shared. “[The best part was] just celebrating their love for each other.”
Despite the enormous guest list and famous venue, Morris’ account suggests that the ceremony remained focused on the bride and groom rather than the spectacle surrounding them.
Couple Skipped A Traditional Wedding Party
Swift and Kelce did not surround themselves with a traditional group of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Instead, Swift’s brother, Austin, stood beside her as Man of Honor. Kelce selected his older brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, as his Best Man.
“Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother, Austin Swift, served as Taylor’s Man of Honor, and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler,” Swift’s representative confirmed in a statement.
Sandler reportedly brought his humor to the ceremony while also embracing the emotional responsibility of officiating the couple’s marriage.
Taylor Swift’s Wedding Featured Legendary Performers
The reception included performances from some of the biggest names in music. Paul McCartney performed The Beatles’ classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” while Stevie Nicks was also included in the evening’s entertainment lineup.
The guest list featured musicians, actors and celebrities from across both Swift and Kelce’s professional worlds. Reported attendees included Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Machine Gun Kelly, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid.
Morris admitted that she was overwhelmed by the number of recognizable people gathered inside Madison Square Garden. “I feel like my neck hurt by the end of the night because I just kept turning my head around seeing people I never thought I’d see before in person,” she said with a laugh.
The wedding also allowed Morris to meet new people and reunite with longtime friends she “hadn’t seen in a long time.”

Beyond the celebrity sightings and elaborate details, Morris said the couple’s relationship was what made the strongest impression on her. “It’s always an honor, and it’s inspiring when you go to a wedding and you feel this huge dose of hope for love. I think we all felt it that night for them,” the mother of one shared. “It was really fun.”
The singer finalized her divorce from Ryan Hurd in January 2024 after five years of marriage. The former couple share their six-year-old son, Hayes, and have continued co-parenting while living only minutes apart in Nashville. Morris later came out as bisexual in 2024
Although Morris has experienced her own major personal changes in recent years, witnessing Swift and Kelce’s commitment appeared to leave her feeling optimistic about romance.

Swift and Kelce’s ceremony outfits were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture and designed by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections.
Anderson reportedly collaborated closely with both the bride and groom to create looks suited to the scale and style of their Madison Square Garden ceremony.
Their shoes were custom-designed by Christian Louboutin, while Swift completed her bridal ensemble with Cartier jewelry.
The tables turned this weekend, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day getting the Marvel Cinematic Universe back on track after an uneven last few years. Still the highest-grossing film franchise of all time, the MCU delivered its first few bombs recently, after seemingly being infallible for the better part of 15 years. The Marvels grossed just around $200 million worldwide, while Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania fell short of both its predecessors. Even the hotly marketed The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Thunderbolts* underperformed in relation to their budgets. But Spider-Man: Brand New Day not only broke the opening-weekend box office records of its predecessor, Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it nearly delivered the biggest debut of all time.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and headlined by Tom Holland, the movie broke Avengers: Endgame‘s opening-day record at the domestic box office, grossing $168 million. By comparison, Avengers: Endgame grossed $157 million in its first day of release in 2019. The superhero team-up, directed by the Russo Brothers, ultimately made $357 million domestically and around $1.2 billion worldwide in its debut frame, setting incredible records that seemed almost impossible to break. Remember, it was only in 2002 that Sam Raimi‘s original Spider-Man hit became the first film in history to gross more than $100 million in its domestic debut weekend. Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, on the other hand, grossed $260 million in its domestic debut in 2021. This record has now been broken by Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Positioned as the start of a new trilogy, the movie grossed $355 million domestically and $875 million worldwide in its first frame. This puts it at the number-two spots on the all-time lists, trailing Avengers: Endgame on both. Spider-Man: Brand New Day also features Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon returning from previous installments as M.J. and Ned, respectively. Produced on a reported budget of $225 million, the new movie opened to near-unanimous praise. It now holds a “Certified Fresh” 90% critics’ score and “Verified Hot” 98% audience score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Spinning a web of spectacular set pieces together with mature emotional stakes and Tom Holland’s soulful performance, Brand New Day is a promising reset that portends Spidey will remain sticky on the big screen for years to come.” With this opening weekend haul, the movie has overtaken the lifetime global grosses of past superhero movies such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Thor: Ragnarok. Paramount+’s ‘Resurrection’ of a Long-Dormant Crime Thriller Is Killing It on Streaming
Once it was added to Netflix a few years ago, the Dexter franchise experienced quite the resurrection — no pun intended. Dexter had long been one of the most popular shows of the 2000s, but it’s safe to say that fans had come to terms with there not being any more content from the franchise after the ill-fated New Blood season. Dexter’s resurgence on Netflix and subsequent success on Paramount Plus forced Paramount to begin developing new Dexter shows, and the first to hit the small screen was Dexter: Original Sin. The prequel series starred Patrick Gibson (007 First Light) as a young Dexter Morgan, and despite it being renewed for Season 2, Paramount ultimately changed its mind and decided to cancel the show. This left only one Dexter series left standing, and it’s officially picking up steam for Season 2.
Last year in June, Paramount brought back Michael C. Hall to play Dexter in Dexter: Resurrection, the sequel series set after the events of the flagship Dexter show and New Blood. Paramount also recruited Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage for key roles in Dexter: Resurrection, but only Thurman is coming back for Season 2, which is already confirmed to be released this October. As fans continue to revisit the Dexter franchise, shows like Dexter: Resurrection have surged back into the top 10 before the arrival of its new season. Even Dexter: Original Sin is having a streaming resurgence right now, as fans demand that Paramount bring the show back for another season. There was also a planned Trinity Killer spin-off starring John Lithgow, but Dexter creator Clyde Phillips confirmed that the spin-off had been put on ice, so to speak.
Has ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Been Renewed for Season 3?
Paramount has yet to decide the fate of Dexter: Resurrection after Season 2, and after the other Dexter shows had the axe brought down on them, the future of the series is anything but certain. The news about Dexter: Resurrection Season 3 likely won’t be decided until the studio has had time to analyze how Season 2 performs, but Dexter fans are most certainly going to show up in droves to make sure the show isn’t canceled after two seasons. Famed for his role in Succession, Brian Cox has also joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.
