Hulu is aiming for another successful year in 2026, and it’s already off to a strong start with the Season 2 debut of Paradise. The dystopian sci-fi thriller was created and written for television by This Is Us scribe Dan Fogelman, who also brought in his longtime collaborator and friend, Sterling K. Brown, to play the lead role of Xavier Collins. The first season of Paradise starts as a murder mystery before expanding with the shocking reveal that it’s set inside an underground apocalypse bunker, but Season 2 turns expectations on their head by showing that the outside world isn’t what viewers were led to think. Paradise wrapped up last week with a wild Season 2 finale that has fans everywhere wondering what could come next in Season 3.
The good news: Paradise has already been officially renewed for a third season, and Dan Fogelman has confirmed that it’s fully written. He also shared that Season 3 will serve as the show’s final chapter, even though Disney reportedly encouraged him to extend the story with additional episodes. Credit to any creator who chooses not to compromise their vision just to produce more content for a streaming platform. It’s now been over a week since the Season 2 finale hit Hulu, and Fogelman took to his personal Instagram to share the first photo from behind the scenes of production on Paradise Season 3, confirming that cameras are now rolling. This should allow the hit show to return with its third and final season sometime next year, likely in the same Q1 window that the first two seasons premiered in 2025 and 2026.

Collider Exclusive · Sci-Fi Survival Quiz Which Sci-Fi World Would You Survive? The Matrix · Mad Max · Blade Runner · Dune · Star Wars
Five universes. Five completely different ways the future went wrong — or sideways, or up in flames. Only one of them is the world your instincts were built for. Eight questions will figure out which dystopia, galaxy, or desert wasteland you’d actually make it out of alive.

01
You sense something is deeply wrong with the world around you. What do you do? The first instinct is often the truest one.

02
In a world of scarcity, what resource do you guard most fiercely? What we protect reveals what we believe survival actually requires.
03
What kind of threat keeps you up at night? Fear is useful data — if you’re honest about what you’re actually afraid of.

04
How do you deal with authority you don’t trust? Every dystopia has a power structure. Your approach to it determines everything.

05
Which environment could you actually endure long-term? Survival isn’t just tactical — it’s physical, psychological, and very much about where you are.

06
Who do you want in your corner when things fall apart? The company you keep is the clearest signal of who you actually are.

Where do you draw the line — if you draw one at all? Every survivor eventually faces a moment that tests what they’re actually made of.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated You’d Survive In…
Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion
The Matrix
You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.
You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.
The Wasteland
Mad Max
The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.
You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.
Los Angeles, 2049
Blade Runner
You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.
You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.
Arrakis
Dune
Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.
Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.
A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Star Wars
The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

What Happens in the ‘Paradise’ Season 2 Finale?
The Paradise Season 2 finale was packed with important details, but one of the most shocking things to take place was the death of Sinatra (played by Julianne Nicholson). Sinatra has been the head of the Paradise bunker since the start of Season 1, even operating at a level above the President and other officials. Now that she’s gone and the bunker is destroyed, the only thing left for Xavier Collins to do is find the supercomputer known as Alex and use it to save the world. Paradise may have been a murder mystery show at one point, but now it’s a full-on hard sci-fi series.
Check out the first two seasons of Paradise on Hulu and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the series.
Near Dark, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, is a unique blend of neo-Western and horror genres. The plot traces the life of Caleb Colton, a small-town young man, who gets entwined with a family of nomadic American vampires. The film stars Adrian Pasdar as the protagonist Caleb, with Jenny Wright, Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Jenette Goldstein in the supporting roles.
Originally, Kathryn Bigelow had intended to make a pure Western movie with Near Dark. However, she found garnering financial backing too challenging. Unfazed, she decided to embed the elements of the popular vampire genre into the Western setting.
This ambitious undertaking of blending the genres led to a revisionist interpretation and brought about the resurgence of American vampire films in the 1980s.
Near Dark first graced the silver screen at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 1987 before being officially released on October 2, 1987, across 262 theaters. Despite its innovative take on the vampire genre, the movie failed to make a significant impact at the box office initially. Nevertheless, it won the favor of critics and eventually cultivated a dedicated cult following over the years.
The narrative of Near Dark is centered around Caleb, who encounters Mae, an enigmatic drifter. After she bites him on the neck, he finds himself turning into a vampire and is subsequently taken into the fold of her roving vampire crew. Caleb grapples with his new form, particularly his aversion to kill for sustenance, which estranges him from his new family.
Renowned for her unique storytelling style and visual flair, Kathryn Bigelow made her directorial debut with Near Dark. After, Bigelow continued to create groundbreaking films across a broad spectrum of genres, from war drama The Hurt Locker, which saw her become the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director, to the thrilling action in Point Break and the gripping drama of Zero Dark Thirty.
Bigelow was married to director James Cameron from 1989 to 1991 and knew him prior to her work on Near Dark. Their connection could explain the carryover from Cameron’s Aliens to Near Dark. Three actors from Cameron’s film, Paxton, Goldstein and Henriksen, also appear in Near Dark.
The film received a generally positive response from critics, who appreciated the amalgamation of the Western, biker, and vampire movie elements in Near Dark. But no one saw it.

Near Dark was made on a modest budget of around $5 million, but despite strong reviews and a now-cult reputation, it struggled commercially, earning only about $3.4 million at the domestic box office. When released in 1987, the film faced stiff competition and marketing challenges, especially as audiences gravitated toward more traditional vampire fare like The Lost Boys, which hit theaters that year with a flashier, youth-oriented appeal. Yet, its status as a cult classic grew over time.
In 2006, plans for a remake of Near Dark made headlines but were later abandoned due to its conceptual resemblance to Twilight. The shelved project was to be a collaboration between Rogue Pictures and Platinum Dunes, with Samuel Bayer set to direct.
Near Dark stands as a testament to the compelling blend of Western and vampire genres. Despite its initial box office performance, the film continues to captivate audiences and critics alike with its unique charm.
Throughout his time on social media, Jake Paul has remained a controversial figure. Alongside his brother Logan Paul, the two have often found themselves at the center of online debates. From YouTube to boxing, Jake can’t seem to escape the hot seat. Well, it looks like after a recent interview, he’s right back in it while discussing what he’s possibly cooking up in response to Druski’s viral skit
Jake Paul Says Druski’s Skit Sparked Him To Consider His Own Version In Blackface
Jake Paul recently sat down with Theo Von. In a part of the podcast, the two reacted to Druski’s “Conservative Women” skit, sharing how hilarious it was.
Jake stated, “It’s f***king hilarious. I loved it. And I’m obviously Republican, and like, all the Republicans being mad about this sh is like a f***ing L for Republicans, because this is f***king hilarious. And even though it’s… dark and twisted… this is what comedy… is… we are f***king humans. Let’s make fun of ourselves. And there’s truth in this. Yes. And extreme truth. And people weren’t ready for that.”
Jake then shared that for the last couple of days, he’s been calling makeup artists while thinking about responding to Druski with his own skit, but darker. When discussing if he would be on the same playing field as Druski, Theo shared that there’s a way to do it and that the character may need Black support from someone like Druski or Charles Barkley.
Jake responded, saying, “That’s p****ing out.” He added, “Doesn’t that make us more prejudiced if we have to partner with someone. Druski just dropped this ad he’s done it a couple of times and I… love it. This is great. This is how humans should be. We should make fun of each other, and I don’t see in color; I see in truth and comedy. So like, what are we talking about? So you’re saying that… what era are we living in?”
The two went on to discuss Justin Trudeau and Jimmy Kimmel, both of whom have previously worn blackface. Jake added, “Look at f***ing Jimmy Kimmel on the left. Untouchable, like what the f**k bro how does he get away with it?”

Theo Von also shared that the thing that pisses him off is that kids can’t be black for Halloween and dress up as their favorite athletes and such.
Social Media Reacts
As soon as Jake Paul’s clip hit the timeline, folks headed straight to The Shade Room Teens’ comment section! Some went in on him, educating on the history of blackface. Others even feel like he’s been wanting to do it and is using this as an excuse. Meanwhile, others mentioned it’s different because Druski did it for comedic purposes, while questioning Jake Paul’s intentions.
Instagram user @freakymarko wrote, “He been wanting to do it but using druski as an excuse to do it”
Instagram user @daeja_vu_ added, ”He’s not funny tho yer his black face would be done with ill intent. Druski just being a good comedian there’s a difference”

Druski Has The Internet In A Chokehold As Fans React To His Past White Characters
Since Druski dropped his latest skit a few weeks ago, many have been reacting to his other white characters. While the “Conservative Women” skit is trending now, fans also praised his “Proud To Be American” and “White Boy In The Hood” characters.

While picking their favorites, one user gave Druski his flowers, writing, “No one can tell me that this man isn’t funny,” adding, “Definitely between the white YN and conservative white woman.” Some couldn’t even pick a favorite, with one person writing, “All of em & s/o to his Grandaddy.”
Plaza was previously married to Jeff Baena for nearly five years before news broke in January 2025 that he died by suicide at age 47.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” a rep for Plaza told Us in a statement at the time. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
Many stars are expanding their families in 2026. Riverdale alum Charles Melton’s girlfriend, director Camille Summers-Valli, rang in the new year by confirming her pregnancy with their first baby. Two days later, Paradise star Krys Marshall debuted her baby bump at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. “I am due any minute now, honey,” Marshall exclusively […]
“According to the reported information, the decedent Jeffrey Baena is a 47-year-old Caucasian male,” the Los Angeles medical examiner wrote in a report obtained by Us in March 2025. “He was experiencing recent marital difficulties and was separated from his wife since September 2024.”
Plaza largely stayed out of the public eye as she mourned, briefly speaking about her grief during an August 2025 appearance on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast.
“Overall, I’m here, and I’m functioning, and I feel grateful to be moving through the world,” Plaza said at the time. “I think, like, I’m OK, but it’s a daily struggle, obviously.”
Months later Plaza stepped out during Paris Fashion Week in March 2026, seemingly hiding her baby bump with an oversized shirt and leather jacket.

If you’re looking for top-notch dramas, your streaming destination should be Amazon Prime Video.
The Watch With Us team has put together our roundup of the three Prime Video dramas with at least 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
All three of this month’s selections competed for numerous Oscars, including Best Picture.
However, the most recent arrival, Marty Supreme, is only available for rent on Prime Video at the moment. But at least it’s on sale if you decide that you’d rather purchase it.
Prime Video remains the best value among streaming services today. Where else can you stream the latest blockbuster movies, like Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning with Tom Cruise, as well as original films like Crime 101, starring Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry? It’s not all movies, though. Prime Video has some pretty spectacular shows […]
Don’t be fooled by the thrilling racing sequences in Ford v Ferrari. There’s a gripping sports bio drama underneath those scenes that made this film an Oscar nominee for Best Picture. Matt Damon and Christian Bale lead the cast as race car designer Carroll Shelby and race car driver Ken Miles, respectively.
The two men are hired to come together after Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) feels personally insulted by Enzo Ferrari (Remo Girone). To get back at Ferrari, Ford wants Miles and Shelby to create a Ford racing car that’s capable of beating Ferrari’s top model at one of the most prestigious races in the world, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But the task is hard enough to pull off without some of Ford’s executives undermining Shelby and Miles along the way.
American Fiction was also a nominee for Best Picture, and Jeffrey Wright was also up for Best Actor for his performance as Dr. Thelonious “Monk” Ellison. Monk is an academic and a novelist, but his books don’t sell, and he finds himself feeling increasingly jealous of Sintara Golden (Issa Rae), a Black author who panders to stereotypes in her best-selling books.
It’s a quiet month for dramas on Amazon Prime Video, even though a handful of big releases like Sinners will be making their debut on the streamer later in December. Since those new arrivals aren’t dramas, we’re going with a 2024 biopic that had major movie distributors running away from it out of fear of […]
Out of frustration, Monk writes a satirical novel that goes even farther than Sinatra’s books. To his shock and horror, Monk’s new novel is received as a massive hit. He’s even convinced to take on a pen name, Stagg R. Leigh, whom the publisher pretends is an escaped fugitive on the run from the law. Suddenly, Monk has all of the success he ever dreamed about, even as he’s unsettled about the way it happened. But this deception can only go on for so long.
Marty Supreme was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Timothée Chalamet. Although the film went home empty-handed, it was still one of the best movies released in 2025. Chalamet plays Marty Mauser, a young man who dreams of being a table tennis champion in the early ’50s. Marty is also incredibly unscrupulous and willing to rob and lie just to get the chance he needs to succeed.
Marty also finds himself wrapped up in two different romantic relationships, including an actress, Kay Stone (Gwyneth Paltrow), and his childhood friend, Rachel Mizler (Odessa A’zion), who is married to another man. Given the depths Marty is willing to go to get ahead, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that some of those attempts backfire. Marty knows what he wants, but the price he’ll have to pay for his ambition is getting higher by the minute.
Marty Supreme is available to rent or purchase on Prime Video.
