The U.S. Open has been on my bucket list for years, so when I had the chance to go over Labor Day weekend, you can say I felt like I scored a match win. The sunny day was absolutely perfect, filled with honey deuces, tennis matches and tons of eye-catching fashion. Trust me, the players weren’t the only ones stepping out, and I took mental notes of all the chic styles happening on and off the court.

Breezy maxi dresses, loose linen palazzos, woven bags, sneakerina shoes — these are the sleek pieces I caught rich women wearing during the championship. Naturally, it was designer galore, but if you ask me, style can’t be bought. It’s all about how you piece together an outfit to look truly polished, and these fashionable finds deliver the look tenfold. Whether you’re into classic preppy vibes or are all about sophisticated sporty looks, these U.S. Open-inspired pieces will get you there.

17 Late-Summer Pieces Rich Women Wear to the U.S. Open

1. My Favorite: Looking effortlessly put together comes easily when you have this flowy maxi dress on hand. The loose style allows ample airflow when sitting in the stands, while also providing much-needed sun coverage. Not to mention, the print looks so rich.

2. Casually Cute: You don’t have to go all out at the U.S Open; women were also wearing everyday two-piece sets like this sleek option. The beige color and modern design details give it an upscale twist.

3. Sporty Chic: There’s never been a more perfect time to wear your tenniscore outfits. I can count on my fingers how many stylish gals wore athletic dresses to the doubles match (no racket needed).

4. Summer Staple: Even if you don’t end up watching a match this year, these loose palazzo pants are ones you’ll still want in your rotation. They’re breezy, breathable and versatile — wear ’em to the tournament, beach, brunch and beyond.

5. Rich Mom: You might be surprised by how many women wore kitten heels to the U.S. Open, but these thong-heeled sandals deliver the look in the most comfortable fashion. Bonus points if you accent the heel with mini tennis balls (yes, that was a style I legitimately saw).

6. Playful Pattern: Gingham is alive and well, especially in this green tennis-esque color. I love the summery pattern, overlay neckline and bow-tie straps.

7. Celeb-Approved: As it turns out, Kate Middleton isn’t the only one who loves Longchamp tote bags. Sporty rich moms are bringing the iconic prep style to the courts, too. And with such a classy style and durable build, it’s easy to see why.

8. Going Viral: You may have heard that rugby shirts are the ‘new’ thing in fashion, and I can tell you that it’s not just designated for the pitch. This vintage-inspired style is just like the ones spotted at tennis matches, especially when styled with pleated shorts or long skirts.

9. Quite the Charmer: Made with a cool perforated design, gold hardware and a Mary Jane strap, these Steve Madden flats are everything you’d want for the summer-to-fall transition. The shoe style was everywhere at the venue.

10. Shopper-Loved: Coach’s revival is paying off, with so many tennis-watching women wearing this exact shoulder bag style at the stadium. The leather material, ‘C’ logo and flap design give it that expensive look that can’t be beat. Oh, and it comes with a shoulder and crossbody strap!

11. No Brainer: Tennis skirts were huge this summer, so it’s only right that you have one in your closet. This pleated pick feels right at home on the court, especially since it has secret built-in shorts that can stash a tennis ball or your phone.

12. Must-Try: When Naomi Osaka stepped out on the court wearing a full-on metallic ‘fit, my jaw dropped. I took pictures and then went to find a similar skirt to channel her Nike one. This silver skater skirt does it justice and looks flattering with that A-line silhouette.

13. Slimming Staple: Whether you’re watching a match on a sunny day or grabbing brunch alfresco, you’ll want to have this gorgeous, loose dress at the ready. The square neckline, rickrack trim and billowy skirt are chef’s kiss.

14. Trending Style: Everywhere I turned, there was a honey deuce and a Ralph Lauren get-up. These ruffle-hem socks let you in the posh club without spending a fortune. The pair is complete with the legendary polo player logo at the leg.

15. Editor-Approved: I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wear a white maxi skirt to the match. This one looks very similar to my go-to, complete with an elastic waistband, tiered skirt and loose fit. Psst, I wasn’t the only gal at the tournament sporting the look.

16. Laid-Back Luxe: Trendy sneakerinas have entered the U.S. Open, and I saw so many ‘It’ girls wearing these exact shoes from Adidas. They combine the brand’s classic sporty look with a feminine ballerina-inspired design.

17. Last But Not Least: I 100% expected to find fashion people wearing striped shirtdresses, and I was not disappointed. This pretty prep style is just like the ones I spotted, from the collared neckline to the long tiered hem. Style it with a woven bag and all-white sneakers, and you’re in peak tennis fashion form.

Spencer Pratt In Celebratory Mood Over ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Published

on

Spencer Pratt Block Party In Hyde Park

Spencer Pratt is suddenly celebrating a development involving “Jimmy Kimmel Live!“, and the reason has everything to do with his long-running history with the late-night host.

A new report about the future of the show has sparked plenty of attention, with the latest development giving Pratt another reason to weigh in. His reaction was quick, pointed, and very much in keeping with the complicated history between the two.

For Spencer Pratt, the moment brings an old Hollywood feud back into the spotlight, raising fresh questions about why news surrounding “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has him in such a celebratory mood.

Spencer Pratt wasted little time celebrating after seeing a report about the future of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Sharing the story on X, Pratt appeared delighted by the possibility of Jimmy Kimmel leaving late-night, writing, “Newsom AND Kimmel gone next year?? Be still, my laughing heart!” before adding, “Things are looking UP fam.”

After he shared the report, some commenters joined in on the celebration, with one simply writing, “Thank God!” while dismissing Kimmel as neither talented nor funny. Others were far less impressed with Pratt’s reaction.

One commenter reminded him that Kimmel had succeeded in late-night television for 24 years, challenging Pratt to name anything he had managed to sustain for even five years. Another joked that Kimmel had “nine lives,” suggesting that even if the show ended, the comedian would somehow find his way back.

The criticism became even more personal from there. One user told Pratt he could join Kimmel in the “unemployment line” and called him a “deadbeat l-ser,” while another argued that celebrating the end of a decades-long Hollywood run was hardly a flex.

A separate commenter simply called for Craig Ferguson to return, showing just how quickly Pratt’s celebration turned into a full-blown debate over Kimmel’s legacy, as seen in the reactions to Pratt’s X post.

A 24-Year Late-Night Run Could Soon Be Coming To An End

The future of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is suddenly looking very different after a run that has stretched across more than two decades. The show has been a fixture of ABC’s late-night lineup since its debut, making the possibility of its departure a major shake-up for the network.

It was reported that the upcoming season is expected to be the final one, with the show set to wrap in May 2027 after 24 years on the air. The report says Kimmel’s current contract is not being extended, although that does not mean the decision is entirely settled.

For now, the biggest question is what happens next. With Kimmel having spent years building the show into one of late-night’s most recognizable programs, an exit would mark the end of a significant chapter for ABC.

More From The Blast

The uncertainty surrounding “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is arriving at an especially turbulent moment for late-night television. According to Page Six, the show’s possible ending comes after CBS ended “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in May, while NBC’s late-night landscape has also been shifting.

Kimmel’s situation is also unfolding alongside major changes at Disney. Page Six reported that Disney’s new leadership has been pursuing cost-cutting measures, including early retirement packages for veteran executives, raising questions about whether financial restructuring could play a role in the show’s future.

Still, ABC has pushed back on the certainty of the report, saying any claims about the show’s future are “purely speculative.” With the network denying that a final decision has been made, the fate of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” remains one of late night’s biggest unanswered questions.

Pratt’s Mayoral Bid Gave Kimmel More To Attack

What began as a clash between a late-night host and a reality star took on a more serious edge when Spencer Pratt entered the Los Angeles mayoral race. His political ambitions gave Jimmy Kimmel’s criticism a much bigger target, turning their personal jabs into part of a wider conversation about Pratt’s bid for office.

The Blast reported that Kimmel used his “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” monologue to question whether Pratt genuinely wanted to run for Los Angeles or was looking for another way to reclaim the spotlight.

Kimmel compared his move from reality television to politics with Donald Trump’s rise to the presidency and branded Pratt “another narcissist looking for attention.”

Pratt’s mayoral bid ultimately came to an end, but the attention surrounding it gave his feud with Kimmel a much larger stage. What had once been a celebrity clash suddenly became part of a political spectacle, adding yet another chapter to their very public back-and-forth.

Spencer Pratt Claimed Hollywood Heavyweights Were In His Corner

Jimmy Kimmel was far from the only celebrity to weigh in on Spencer Pratt’s political ambitions. While the late-night host questioned whether Pratt was serious about governing Los Angeles, Pratt claimed he had support from some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

The Blast reported that Pratt said Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx privately encouraged his mayoral run, with the reality star claiming they told him they wanted Los Angeles’ streets to be safer. Neither actor publicly endorsed Pratt, but he said he had people who could confirm the private support.

That contrast made his political run even more unpredictable. Pratt had Jimmy Kimmel questioning his motives and other entertainers criticizing his candidacy, yet he also claimed to have support from major Hollywood figures.

With his mayoral bid now part of his complicated Hollywood history, could Spencer Pratt’s ongoing feud with “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” become one of the most memorable celebrity political clashes of the year?

Canadian Icons Officially Tease Doc About the Musical That “Ignited a Comedy Revolution” [Exclusive]

Published

on

ww7bke0tdkylz0h6ms8vlpptaie.jpg

For the first time ever, SCTV is now streaming in the United States. That sketch comedy series introduced the world to Canadian legends like Eugene Levy, Martin Short, and Andrea Martin. However, even before SCTV, some of the talents behind it got their first taste of show business in a legendary 1972 Toronto production of Godspell. Now, the story of that production has been told in the new documentary You Had To Be There: How the Toronto Godspell Ignited the Comedy Revolution, Spread Love & Overalls, and Created a Community That Changed the World (in a Canadian Kind of Way), and Collider is proud to present an exclusive sneak peek before it premieres in theaters later this month.

Levy, Short, and Martin all starred in the Toronto production of Godspell, as did SCTV castmate Dave Thomas. Other members of the cast included future Alias star Victor Garber, My Big Fat Greek Wedding‘s Jayne Eastwood, and future Saturday Night Live legend Gilda Radner, who was American but had moved to Toronto. Musician Paul Shaffer, who would later be famed for his work with David Letterman, served as the production’s musical director.

Even after Godspell ended, the Toronto comedy community that had produced it became an extended family, as seen in the preview clip below. Levy and Short grew up close together in the nearby city of Hamilton, Ontario, while many members of the cast dated and even intermarried. Martin married the brother of Short’s wife, and Eastwood dated Levy before marrying David Flaherty, a comedy writer and the brother of SCTV star Joe Flaherty. So while it’s too late to see Godspell in 1972, you can see the next best thing when You Had To Be There premieres in theaters on September 18.

Your Universe Has Been Chosen
You Belong In…

Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.

  • You are drawn to the moral clarity of a universe where hope itself is a form of resistance.
  • You’d find your people in the Rebellion — a ragtag coalition of true believers held together by conviction more than resources.
  • Star Wars is fundamentally a story about ordinary people choosing to matter in an extraordinary conflict — and that is exactly your kind of story.
  • The Force may or may not be with you. But the will to use it for something larger than yourself certainly is.

Middle-earth

Lord of the Rings

You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.

  • Middle-earth is a world of ancient wonder, deep friendship, and a darkness that only retreats when enough small acts of courage accumulate.
  • You would thrive here because you value the fellowship more than the glory — the road more than the arrival.
  • Tolkien’s universe rewards patience, loyalty, and the willingness to carry something heavy across a very long distance.
  • Those are not burdens to you. They are simply how you move through the world.

The Wizarding World

Harry Potter

You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.

  • The Wizarding World is a place of wonder hidden in plain sight, where learning is transformative and the bonds you form at school follow you into every battle.
  • You would flourish here because you take both the magic and the friendships seriously — and you understand that one without the other is incomplete.
  • Harry Potter’s universe ultimately rewards those who choose to stand for something even when standing is terrifying.
  • That choice — made quietly, without guarantee — is something you understand completely.

Westeros · The Known World

Game of Thrones

You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.

  • Westeros is a world that rewards intelligence, adaptability, and the willingness to understand that every alliance is also a negotiation.
  • You would survive here — possibly thrive here — because you don’t confuse the world as it is with the world as you’d like it to be.
  • Game of Thrones is a story about what happens when the idealists and the realists collide. You are sharp enough to know which one lasts longer.
  • Winter always comes. You are already prepared.

The United Federation of Planets

Star Trek

You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.

  • Star Trek is a universe where the questions matter as much as the answers, and where encountering something utterly alien is cause for wonder rather than fear.
  • You would belong here because you are fundamentally optimistic about what intelligence and decency can achieve — while being honest about how hard that achievement is.
  • The Federation is the universe’s most ambitious thought experiment: what if we actually got better?
  • You don’t just hope that’s possible. You think it’s the only thing worth working toward.

Who Was Involved With ‘You Had To Be There’?

Surviving Godspell performers Short, Levy, Shaffer, Garber, Martin, Eastwood, Valda Aviks, Rudy Webb, and Avril Chown are all interviewed for the documentary, as are notables Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mike Myers, Heidi Gardner, Gary Gulman, James Austin Johnson, Janeane Garofalo, and Don Scardino, plus Stephen Schwartz, the Broadway legend who wrote Godspell. The film also includes archival interviews with Radner and the late John Candy. It is directed by documentarian Nick Davis, who also co-wrote the film with Jane Mendelsohn; Judd Apatow serves as an executive producer.

You Had To Be There: How the Toronto Godspell Ignited the Comedy Revolution, Spread Love & Overalls, and Created a Community That Changed the World (in a Canadian Kind of Way) will premiere in theaters on September 18. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.

Chat Room Reacts to Jim Thornton’s Wheel of Fortune Firing

Published

Wheel of Fortune Announcer Jim Thornton Suspended

A chat room at the center of Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton’s firing is attempting to clarify its intended use.

Sony Pictures Television confirmed to Us on Friday, September 4, that Thornton, 61, had been fired “effectively immediately” from his longtime position “following a thorough investigation.” Thornton had been a staple on the program for 25 years

The news came after TMZ published photos on Thursday, September 3, showing Thornton browsing what the outlet described as a “chat room for pedophiles” on his laptop during a flight from Charlotte to Los Angeles in May.

A fellow passenger reported seeing the contents of Thornton’s screen to a flight attendant, and he was questioned by authorities and later allowed to leave upon disembarking the plane. He has not been arrested or charged in connection with the incident.

Related: Suspended ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Announcer Was Seen Browsing Pedophile Chat

The reason for Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton’s suspension has emerged. Thornton, 61, was involved in a troubling incident on a flight from Charlotte to Los Angeles in May, according to a TMZ article published on Thursday, September 3. A passenger saw and snapped photos of Thornton engaging in what appeared to be a […]

In a statement on its website, LifeLine, the chat room accessed by Thornton, said, “LifeLine operates a support chat room for people attracted to children and adolescents. We have strict rules against any kind of illicit behavior, including the sharing of criminalized images. Those who violate the rules are swiftly banned and their messages removed as soon as possible.”

“Many commentators ask why a place like LifeLine even exists. It exists because most people attracted to minors are fully capable of behaving responsibly, yet extremely distressed by the stigmatization of their feelings,” the statement continued. “They need a place to talk, ensuring better mental health, leading to more positive outcomes for themselves and their local communities.”

The website noted that it allows users to send and receive “messages that the public may consider ‘offensive’ so long as they do not cross legal boundaries or put anyone at risk of harm,” noting that “via this methodology, we have successfully diverted users from making bad decisions that would have endangered themselves or others.”

“Unfortunately, there is no safe way for minor-attracted people to access professional support in the majority of cases. There is a severe risk of being reported to authorities simply for disclosing one’s feelings,” the statement continued. “Who would seek therapy under the very real threat of being outed and shunned as a ‘pedophile?’ The metaphorical lynching of the celebrity who allegedly visited our chat illustrates this clearly.”

“LifeLine exists precisely because the world is so incredibly hateful and punitive that minor-attracted people have no other means of support,” the statement said.

Thornton’s attorney, Allison Hart, told Page Six in a statement last Thursday that her client had accessed the website by mistake. However, TMZ reported that Thornton “was in the [chat] room for at least 57 minutes.”

“My client has become active in suicide-prevention advocacy since losing a close family member to suicide two years ago, and he has spent time visiting chat rooms offering support to individuals suffering from suicidal ideation,” Thornton’s attorney said. “One of the sites my client has visited is 988lifeline.org, and its chat forum chat.988lifeline.org. … Through an acquaintance in the suicide prevention space, my client was misdirected to a forum with a similar URL … which my client understood to be a forum offering suicide prevention support similar to 988lifeline.org and chat.988lifeline.org.”

“When my client understood what the website was about, he left the page and has not visited since,” Hart claimed in her statement. “The website … itself is not unlawful, there is no unlawful child pornography or other pedophilic content, and my client has never viewed, downloaded or consumed any child pornography, whether on that commercial flight in May or at any other time.”

Doctor Strange has spent more than 60 years venturing into some of the strangest corners of the Marvel Universe, and the Sorcerer Supreme’s next adventure is leaning heavily into the surreal horror that has always made him unique. This time, Stephen Strange is heading somewhere considerably more dangerous than another dimension — straight into the human mind.

It’s been a long time since we saw the good Doctor, and as one of Marvel’s most popular characters, his next move was one we were eagerly anticipating. When Stephen Strange encounters a mysterious patient at his hospital who won’t stop raving about how life is “nothing but the dream of a sleeping god,” the rest of the world is suddenly struck with insomnia. In order to prevent chaos from unfolding as the people around him become more and more desperate for sleep, Doctor Strange must embark into the mind of the madman who seems to have heralded this disaster, taking a psychedelic trip into the Nightmare Realm.

Collider is excited to exclusively reveal new preview pages from Doctor Strange: Endless Nightmare, a brand-new graphic novel written by Kevin J. Anderson (Dune: The Graphic Novel) with artwork from Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín, ahead of its release from Abrams ComicArts’ Marvel Arts line.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Doctor Strange Has an Endless Nightmare

Anderson admitted in a statement that he specifically wanted to use Strange’s ability to access other realms to tell a story inspired by the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft. In doing so, he plans on taking full advantage of a character who feels equally at home between horror, superheroics and fantasy.

“The character of Dr. Strange has access to so many bizarre realms, I wanted to introduce him to a dark and twisted Lovecraft-inspired story. I brought in an important and popular villain in the Dr. Strange universe, as well as another villain who has never appeared since Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created him in 1964’s Dr. Strange #122. It was amazing to play in this universe.”

Endless Nightmare also serves as a long-awaited reunion for Anderson, Allén, and Martín following their work together on Dune: The Graphic Novel. Their adaptation of the science-fiction classic earned praise for its visual approach, with critics describing the artwork as everything from “eye-popping” to “breathtaking.”

Sophie Rain Reveals Terrifying Reason She’s Now Hiring Security

Sophie Rain Reveals Terrifying Reason She’s Now Hiring Security

Sophie Rain’s online success has made her famous and wealthy, but it has also left her feeling increasingly vulnerable. During an appearance on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, Rain revealed that she has experienced repeated problems with stalkers and subscribers who frighten her. The situation has forced her to reconsider traveling and making public appearances without professional protection.

Rain admitted that she resisted hiring security because she felt guilty asking another person to potentially risk their life for her. However, a “really bad experience” involving a group of people in Greece appears to have changed her position. She confirmed that she is now working on putting a security arrangement in place.

Rain’s safety concerns emerged while she explained why she rarely participates in video calls with her OF subscribers. Although she communicates with a larger number of followers through text, Rain estimated that she has only video-chatted with between five and ten people throughout her career. “Just because, just because a lot of people, they scare me, honestly,” she admitted. “They scare me.”

Rain said she worries about the intentions of the people attempting to gain more personal access to her. Those concerns have forced her to be selective about whom she trusts enough to speak with face-to-face. The influencer added that she has encountered users who became hostile despite paying to subscribe to her page. “I’ve had a lot of people that I’ve had to block,” she told Maher. “I had to restrict because they’re trying to, like, they’re just being nasty to me.”

The OF Star Reveals Her Problems With Stalkers

Rain then disclosed that the threatening behavior has not been limited to uncomfortable online interactions. “I’ve had a lot of issues with stalkers,” she revealed. “I’ve had a lot of issues with that.”

The repeated incidents are one of the primary reasons Rain believes professional protection has become necessary. “That’s why I need to get security,” she explained. “We’re working on that.”

Rain did not identify the alleged stalkers or provide specific details about the incidents. However, she made it clear that the behavior has happened enough times to affect how she communicates with subscribers and manages access to herself. She also acknowledged the complicated dynamic created when someone pays for her content while simultaneously degrading her.

Rain said some subscribers treat her like “just another whore,” leaving her confused about why they would financially support her while also behaving cruelly toward her. “Like, make it make sense,” she said.

Rain Initially Felt Guilty About Hiring Protection

Maher firmly told Rain that she needed a security professional, but she admitted that she had struggled with the idea. “Everyone is telling me I need to get one,” she said. “I feel awful, like, making someone risk their life for me. I just don’t like that.”

Her concern was not about losing privacy or having someone follow her throughout the day. Instead, Rain appeared uncomfortable with the responsibility of employing someone whose job could require stepping into a dangerous situation on her behalf.

Still, she acknowledged that her circumstances had reached a point where going without protection was no longer practical. “I feel like I need to,” Rain conceded. “Because I definitely need security.”

Maher advised her to find someone capable of recognizing potential threats before an incident escalates rather than simply hiring an intimidating-looking bodyguard. Rain agreed that she needed someone who could blend in while quietly monitoring her surroundings.

Sophie Rain Says She Was ‘Cornered’ In Greece

Rain’s concerns intensified following a recent trip to Greece, where she claimed she was cornered by a group of people. “I went to Greece and I got cornered by these…” she began before Maher interrupted and told her she needed to hire protection immediately.

The creator did not finish explaining precisely who cornered her or what unfolded during the encounter. Later in the conversation, however, she returned to the trip and described it as a disturbing experience. “I was just in Greece and I had a really bad experience with a lot of people,” Rain said.

While the lack of additional details makes it unclear whether those involved were fans, strangers, or people aware of her financial success, the incident appears to have convinced Rain that her existing precautions are no longer enough.

She noted that she already avoids traveling by herself, telling Maher, “I never travel alone.” Even with companions nearby, Rain now believes she needs someone specifically trained to recognize and handle possible threats.

Bill Maher Warns Her Public Wealth Makes Her A Target

Maher argued that Rain’s public profile is not the only factor placing her at risk. Reports about the enormous amount of money she has made online have also created a potential security concern. “Just your bank account that’s so public,” he warned. “That alone makes you a target.”

Rain agreed with his assessment and confirmed that she was no longer merely considering protection. “I’m working on security right now, actually,” she said. “I’m working on it. I’m working on it.”

Maher suggested that she may only need one experienced person who can remain nearby without interfering with her daily life. Rain appeared receptive to the idea, responding, “Yeah, that’s it.”

Sophie Rain Previously Detailed A Terrifying Home Invasion

Rain’s latest concerns come after she recounted an alarming incident earlier this year that could have turned dangerous had she been home at the time.

While Rain was living in a shared content house in Miami, a man broke into the property, forced his way into her bedroom, and began moving his belongings into the room. According to Rain, the intruder believed they were already married and was later ruled legally insane by a judge.

“He broke down the door, brought a suitcase, took all of his clothes out, and put them in my drawers,” she recalled. “He thought that we were married.”

Rain and the other residents happened to be out of town attending the Super Bowl when the break-in occurred, preventing them from coming face-to-face with the intruder inside the house. “Thank God,” she said. “We would have been home if we didn’t go.”

What began as unwanted attention online has, in at least one case, allegedly crossed into her private living space, making her decision to seek professional security appear increasingly urgent.

Marvel Officially Reunites Doctor Doom With His Perfect Love Interest

Published

on

doom and valeria

Is Marvel trying to get us to sympathize with Doctor Doom before we officially meet Victor (Robert Downey Jr.) in the MCU when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters? A tragic love story is certainly one way to do it. We’ve had our share of complicated villains, but very few of them have had actual romantic interests. This may have nothing to do with the elusive Latverian witches, but then again… maybe it does. Months before Doom hits the public, Marvel is showing us the man behind the mask and the one who got away. Two idioms for the price of one!

Doomquest, the 2026 Marvel Comics miniseries arc written by Ryan Noth and illustrated by Francesco Mobili, has sent the infamous character on various isolated time-traveling adventures. After the villain visited the RMS Titanic and the American Revolution in issues two and three, Victor von Doom’s latest adventure is much closer to home.

“This is a love story,” Doom’s omniscient narration begins, a la the iconic second season of Fleabag. Much like the Phoebe Waller-Bridge series, it does not have a happy ending. The fourth issue of lets Doctor Doom see what would have happened if he’d stayed with his childhood sweetheart in Latveria and grown old with her together instead of going to America and meeting the future Fantastic Four.

Inhabiting the body of his childhood self (the time travel in this arc is more akin to Quantum Leap than Back to the Future), Doom is able to correct some of his past mistakes. It is Valeria von Frazen, the woman he fell in love with as a young man, who encourages him. She’s his intellectual equal and can immediately tell that she’s speaking to a future version of him when he arrives. They have an entire life together–albeit, a fairly run-of-the-mill suburban life with a dog and two children. One could imagine that two people of such great intellect and power would eventually get bored and desire more. But only Doom does, and leaves Valeria on her deathbed for the next adventure. Will he be changed by having spent one human existence with the love of his life? Readers will have to wait and see.

Doom’s One True Love Shares a Name With a ‘Fantastic Four’ Character

doom and valeria Marvel Comics

In the Doomquest comic, the fact that Doctor Doom named Sue Storm and Reed Richard’s daughter after Valeria is not the elephant in the room. He brings this up almost immediately. But when it comes to corporate synergy, their connection is worth thinking about for a moment. The MCU has only just introduced The Fantastic Four to the mix, officially. In The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Reed and Sue only have one child. At the end of the movie, Doom shows great interest in Franklin Richards. That’s all well and good, so to speak, but canonically Valeria Richards is older than Franklin. So where is she? Sure, most Marvel Comics readers know she exists, but why are the powers that be reminding casual readers of her namesake’s existence now? Something is (potentially) up. Are we going to see the original Valeria in the MCU first? Is she one of the witches flanking him, instead of a gaggle of familiar faces? Food for thought!

It’s also probably not a coincidence that, in Doomquest, the next body that Doom quantum leaps into is his former love interest and Valeria Richard’s mother herself: Sue Storm. Movies aside, this miniseries is only getting started, and issue #5 is going to be a doozy! Who knows, maybe Valeria von Frazen will return before the story is over. It’d be nice to see his equal actually, like, be his equal.

Doomquest #4 is available everywhere you read comic books now. Sign up for a free trial of Audible to explore more books and comics.

Sophie Rain Reveals The OF Boundary She Refuses To Cross

Sophie Rain Reveals The OF Boundary She Refuses To Cross

Sophie Rain is clearing up one of the biggest assumptions people make about her OF career. Despite becoming one of the platform’s most successful creators, Rain revealed that she has never appeared completely naked on camera, and she has no intention of changing that.

During an appearance on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, Rain offered a rare breakdown of what subscribers actually receive. She explained that her content primarily consists of bikini stripteases, occasional “nip slips,” custom videos, and direct conversations with a smaller group of longtime supporters. However, full-frontal nudity remains permanently off the table.

Maher questioned Rain about how explicit her OF content becomes, prompting the creator to immediately push back against the assumption that subscribers see everything. “I have never fully got naked on camera,” Rain insisted. “I have not ever fully got naked.”

While Rain acknowledged that some of her content pushes boundaries, she said there is still a firm line she will not cross. “I’ve done, like, a little nip slip here and there, you know, but I’ve never fully got naked,” she explained. “I won’t ever do that. That’s a boundary I won’t ever cross.”

Maher pressed Rain on whether she meant she had never posted full-frontal nudity. She confirmed that she had not and reiterated that she had no plans to do so in the future. “No, I’ve never done that, and I won’t,” Rain said. “I don’t ever plan on doing that. That’s just something that I’m not comfortable with.”

What Does Sophie Rain Post On OF?

Rain explained that her content is suggestive without reaching the level many people may expect from one of the platform’s biggest names. “I mostly, um, I’m in a bikini,” she told Maher. “And I’ll, I’ll just, I’ll do, like, a striptease, essentially.”

The creator also posts teasers before giving subscribers the option to purchase the complete video. Rain described the approach as a way of allowing followers to decide whether they want to pay for more content beyond what is included with their subscriptions.

She also offers custom material and communicates directly with some subscribers, making conversation a significant part of the experience she sells. That distinction is important to Rain, who argued that people on OF do not all produce the same kind or degree of adult content.

Rain Says Creators Have ‘Full Autonomy’ Over Their Content

Rain credited OF with giving creators the freedom to establish their own limits rather than forcing them into one type of content. “You have full autonomy over it,” she explained. “You make an account. I had to put my ID in, put my bank information in, my Social Security, everything, and boom, I had an OF account.”

Rain noted that the platform can technically be used to sell far more than adult material. She said she knows creators who offer workout plans and recipes, though she acknowledged pornography has become a dominant part of the site.

For Rain, that autonomy means she can produce provocative content while maintaining the boundary that makes her comfortable. “That’s why I love OF is because you have full autonomy,” she said. “You can do whatever you want, and people will still talk to you.”

Sophie Rain Says She Talks To About 100 Subscribers A Day

Maher was skeptical that Rain could personally interact with the enormous audience following her online. When he asked how many people she directly communicates with on a typical day, Rain placed the number at approximately 100. “I probably actually talk to around 100 people,” she revealed.

Rain said many of those conversations are recurring rather than being with 100 completely different subscribers each day. Over time, she has developed connections with supporters who have continued subscribing throughout her career. “Those are my regulars,” she said, borrowing the term Maher used to describe repeat customers.

Rain explained that she genuinely connects with those longtime subscribers, while others purchase a piece of content and quickly disappear. “Some people are just there to be like, ‘Let me see this,’ and then I’ll never see them again,” she shared.

The OF Creator Admits She Has Help Responding

Rain was also transparent about the reality of managing such a massive subscriber base. Although she spends hours on OF and personally handles some conversations, she acknowledged that other people help her respond. “Most of the times I do have people helping me,” she admitted. “It’s literally impossible for me to answer everyone.”

Rain said the people assisting her know her personally, which she believes allows them to communicate in a way that still reflects her personality.

She also clarified that most of her direct exchanges take place through text. Video calls are an additional service she has offered to only a tiny number of subscribers. “I think I’ve only ever in my entire career have probably talked to five to 10 people on video,” Rain estimated.

Marvel Officially Brings Back Frank Castle’s Most Overpowered Upgrade

Published

on

punisher-2026-issue-8-spoilers_page-0001

As his one-man war on crime has unfolded, Frank Castle has unleashed his fair share of deadly weapons upon his foes. From a Colt .45 pistol to his signature Punishercopter, Marvel Comics has given him an entire arsenal worthy of a small military to clean up the streets over the years. To keep pace in a world of superheroes and villains, the trained soldier has even resorted to some more unconventional tools of destruction, whether by co-opting weapons like the Green Goblin’s Pumpkin Bombs or, in one issue by Garth Ennis, commandeering a steamroller to flatten Wolverine for good. For someone of his lethality, the world is a weapon and anything can be used to his advantage.

That doesn’t mean it hurts to have some big guns around when the moment calls for it, and in issue #8 of Benjamin Percy‘s The Punisher run, that’s exactly what’s provided. The story is the second piece of a bonkers four-part crossover with Percy’s Deadpool series, pitting Frank against the “Regeneratin’ Degenerate” while on the hunt for the many Badpools that have shed off of Wade Wilson thanks to his healing factor. While they’re busy trying to kill each other — or, at least, Frank is busy trying to kill Wade — a mysterious player has been pulling the strings in the background to set the two up for calamity. Within the final pages, disaster appears to finally strike when one of the most powerful weapons ever given to the Punisher falls into the wrong hands.

‘The Punisher’s War Machine Armor Is Being Pulled Out of Storage

After a confrontation with the Punisher, the Merc with a Mouth finds himself handcuffed to a pipe on the wall of a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, forcing him to chew his own hand off to pursue Frank. His adversary was last seen standing over a very dangerous weapon that Nick Fury warned needed to be kept out of the reach of those with ill intent, as it could fire shots throughout history. That could be useful for Frank to finally get around Deadpool’s healing factor, for instance, but they both have even bigger fish to fry. Leaving his hand behind accidentally created more of the fleshy Badpools, who quickly overwhelmed the guards in front of a top-secret weapon and took advantage of their IDs to break inside. What the sentient scar tissue pieces found was none other than War Machine, still decked out with the Punisher’s skull insignia. Their excitement confirms this is the namesake for the “Big Guns” storyline, and it’s about to get very messy for both Wade and Frank.

While the War Machine armor is most closely associated with James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Frank took command of the suit himself in The Punisher #218 back in 2017. Nick Fury Jr. loaned him the suit for a special job that required someone of his expertise — to head to the country of Chernaya and clean up the political mess there caused by a band of rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. However, when it came time to return the weapon, Frank simply blew him off and kept it to aid in his crime-fighting, punching above his weight by going after Hydra itself. Rhodes eventually convinced him to return the weapon, but evidently, the Model 8 suit he used was kept in storage all this time, and now the Badpools are poised to run wild with it in Deadpool #9.

The Punisher #8 is now available for purchase. Stay tuned here at Collider for more on the latest Marvel Comics releases throughout the year. Sign up for a free trial of Audible to explore more books and comics.

ABC Addresses Reports Jimmy Kimmel Will End Late Night Show

ABC is responding to claims Jimmy Kimmel is preparing to end his late night show at the end of next season after 24 years on air.

“This information is inaccurate — any reports about the future of the show at this point are purely speculative,” an ABC Entertainment spokesperson told Us on Tuesday, September 8, after Page Six and TMZ reported on the claims the same day.

Page Six reported that the new season of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which premiered on ABC on Tuesday, “would wrap with Kimmel’s final episode” in May 2027, while TMZ stated that a source alleged “there is talk among the staff that Jimmy has been working on pitching other shows and podcasts around town.”

Us has reached out to a representative for Kimmel, 58, for comment.

The fate of Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, has been decided after it was pulled off the air. “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the Walt Disney Company said in a statement […]

The reports come less than a month after Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney, opened up about her husband’s eventual retirement.

“It definitely appeals to me for the nervous system of the household,” McNearney, 48, said during the August 24 episode of Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast when she was asked about the prospect.

The TV writer and producer, who serves as a co-head writer and executive producer on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, continued at the time, “I feel like Jimmy has a fly rod in one hand and a torch in the other right now. It’s like he deserves to go out there and just be on the river and relax, but I also want him to keep fighting. And I feel this sense of desire to not quit because I think what he’s doing is incredibly important right now. And yes, I know we’re doing it in a vacuum, but I think it’s giving people a feeling of, like, their voice is heard, and I think it’s important.”

She concluded, “But as his wife, I really would like him to be able to not do the show anymore so he could relax.”

The late-night TV lineup is undergoing a drastic shakeup this year.  From the cancellation of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to ABC abruptly pulling Jimmy Kimmel off the air, it’s been a time of upheaval for weeknight comedy programs. Here are the latest shifts in the 2025 late-night landscape: Stephen Colbert Canceled Scott Kowalchyk […]

The late night show, which first aired in 2003 and stands as ABC’s longest-running current talk show, attracted significant media attention one year ago after it was abruptly pulled from broadcast following Kimmel’s comments regarding the death of Charlie Kirk. (The late Kirk, a right-wing political activist, was assassinated at Utah Valley University at the age of 31 on September 10, 2025.)

During the September 15 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host accused conservatives of reaching “new lows” by trying to claim that Tyler Robinson, who is accused of Kirk’s murder, was part of a far-left movement.

“The MAGA Gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said at the time. “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

At one point, Jimmy Kimmel was done with hosting his ABC late-night talk show and hoped the network would cancel it.  “I didn’t know what I was doing, and I would pray that they canceled the show sometimes,” the comedian, 57, revealed on the Wednesday, October 22, edition of Ted Danson’s “Everybody Knows Your Name” […]

ABC and the Walt Disney Company, who own the network, suspended the show “indefinitely,” however the suspension lasted less than one week. In June, former Disney CEO Bob Iger said during an interview with the Financial Times that his former organization “thought [Kimmel’s joke] was in bad taste.”

During a recent Call Her Daddy podcast appearance, Erin Andrews looked like the perfect mix of sporty and chic in a long-sleeved striped rugby-style polo shirt. She kept the look simple but styled with light blue jeans and a stack of dangly gold bracelets for a cute, collegiate-inspired vibe.

And she’s not the only one showing off this look — Julia Roberts was spotted in a short-sleeved version of the striped top while strolling through New York City this summer. The actress also kept hers casual with jeans and chic flats.

Consider Us sold: the rugby-style top is clearly a fall must-have. Our favorite pick so far is the Thopavenoir Striped Rugby Polo Shirt, which has the same preppy-cool look as both Andrews and Roberts’ top. Both stars chose a striped blue combo, and this one comes in similar shades, with unexpected pops of brown and yellow that make it stand out.

Style icons like Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts have embraced the latest fall trend, and we’re totally on board. The two actresses have sported Rugby sweaters and tops, proving that sporty comfort can still look incredibly polished — especially when you know exactly where to shop. Retailers like Amazon, Nordstrom, Quince and Anthropologie are all […]

We also love how versatile this striped top is, especially for transitional weather. It has long sleeves and a higher collar that help keep you cozy on chillier days or mornings, but the material is lightweight enough that it doesn’t leave you sweating. You can roll up the sleeves and leave the top buttons undone for a more relaxed look, or layer it over a white tank if you need to.

We’re not the only ones who are rushing to add it to our carts. One Amazon shopper called this a “true Y2K style,” and added that it is “very soft and comfortable.” They also added, “The fit is boxy,m but that seems intentional and works with the style.”

Another reviewer noted that the shirt is “soft and it looks even better in person.” They added, “It’s very similar to a higher-priced version that I found with a better price tag.”

This rugby-style top is sure to be everywhere this fall, and this particular style isn’t going to last long. Snag this one while you can!
