Tuesday’s Workwear Report: Margeaux Blazer in Four-Season Stretch
This post may contain affiliate links and Corporette® may earn commissions for purchases made through links in this post. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
Our daily workwear reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.
I love, love, love the color of this classic-looking blazer from J.Crew. It reminds me of a chocolate-covered raspberry. I have some fabulous blazers in my closet that I don’t reach for as much anymore because they look a little dated, but this cut looks timeless. (And even if I’m wrong about that in five years, I would still hang onto it for another five because the style will certainly come back around.)
If this color isn’t your thing, it also comes in five other solids and two great plaids.
The jacket is $248 at J.Crew and comes in sizes 00-24. It’s available in classic, petite, and tall size ranges.

The Suede, Leather and Pony Hair Pieces Worth Inve
This fall, WeWoreWhat Premium grows from a three-piece test into a full collection of 11 pieces. Danielle calls it the “big-sister version” of WeWoreWhat, made for the customer who has grown up with the brand. Everything is cut from genuine suede, leather, or pony hair, and every piece is under $800.
These aren’t pieces you save for a special occasion. They’re the jacket, skirt, and trouser you’ll reach for on an ordinary Tuesday, then again all season long.
Leather
Clean, structured and the easiest way into Premium.
*(from left to right)
Leather Mock Neck Jacket in Vintage Espresso — A cropped genuine leather jacket with a high snap neck and ribbed cuffs. Wear it over straight leg jeans. $268
Pebbled Leather Pencil Skirt — An ankle-length leather maxi skirt with a slim, A-line cut. Add a fitted knit top and tall boot to complete the look. $218
Leather Mock Neck Jacket in Tortoise Shell — The same jacket in a warm, reddish brown. It goes with every wash of denim you own. $268
Suede
Soft, warm, and better with every wear.
*(from left to right)
Suede Button Front Jacket — Boxy and hip-length in midnight navy suede. Polished enough for the office, easy enough with jeans. $448
Leather Poncho — A draped black suede poncho with faux fur trim at the collar and cuffs. Layer it over a turtleneck when a jacket isn’t enough. $398
Suede Pencil Skirt — An ankle-length suede maxi skirt in a warm camel. Wear it with a cashmere crewneck and pointed boots. $495
Leather Bomber Jacket — A black suede bomber jacket with full sleeves and a gathered hem. Throw it on over a tee and jeans. $398
Pony Hair
The statement material of the season, with a soft texture and a subtle sheen. Wear it head to toe, or one piece at a time.
*(from left to right)
Pony Hair Pencil Skirt — A slim midi that hits mid-calf. Sheer tights and a pointed pump make it office-ready. $533
Pony Hair Button Front Jacket — Our boxy button-front shape in black pony hair. Belt it over the skort for the full set, or wear it with jeans. $783
Pony Hair Low Rise Skort — A low-rise mini with built-in shorts. Pair it with tights and a fitted tank. $317
Pony Hair Straight Leg Pant — A tailored straight leg trouser with a structured waistband. Wear it with a black bodysuit and kitten heels. $640
Why It’s Worth It
The math on a Premium piece is simple. Wear the Leather Mock Neck Jacket twice a week from October through February, and that’s about 40 wears. That works out to under $7 a wear. Real suede, leather, and pony hair only get better with time, so every wear brings that number down. That’s not a splurge. That’s girl math.

What I Reach For Every Fall
Outfit Details: Chanel Jacket (last seen here), Agolde Tee, Frame Jeans, Manolo Blahnik Flats, Chanel Bag & Belt, Dior Sunglasses
Every fall, I find myself reaching for familiar silhouettes: an A-line skirt that moves when I walk, a colorful cardigan to layer over a crisp white shirt, a sleek suede boot, and a tweed jacket I can throw on with almost anything. These are the pieces I know work, the foundation my closet comes back to season after season. What changes is everything I put around them.
Outfit Details: Chanel Jacket (last seen here), Agolde Tee, Frame Jeans, Manolo Blahnik Flats, Chanel Bag & Belt, Dior Sunglasses | Alexandra Golovonoff Sweater (last seen here), Dior Shirt (old, similar here), Prada Skirt (old, similar here & here), Sonia Petroff Belt, Destree Bag, Aquazzura Boots
Part of the fun each year is seeing how far I can take them. A new fabric or an unexpected texture can make a familiar shape feel completely different, and mixing pieces I’ve owned for years with something I just found keeps things from getting predictable. A decorative belt gives a polished, ladylike skirt a little glamour, while a velvet jacket brings something richer to an everyday pair of jeans. The silhouettes stay the same; how I wear them never quite does.

REGRETS AND REBUYS // VOL. II
I am back with another installment of ‘Regrets and Rebuys’, after you all loved this one so much! In this series I break down the items I have purchased and would rebuy as well as the items that fell flat and didn’t work for me. Hindsight is 20/20!
REBUY
FEATHER BROOCH
I did rebuy this feather brooch. Again and again and again in all sorts of fun, pop colors. It seriously jazzes up even the saddest of outfits!
BAUBLEBAR BAG
As someone who always loves to be over-prepared, you can typically find me hauling around a tote with everything I *might* need. This BaubleBar bag is one of my favorites. It comes in over 25 color combos, and of course, can be personalized. I am scared to admit I now own three of them! The one shown here is the medium size!
HELENE DRESS
When I first saw this dress I knew I was going to fall in love with it. I first bought it in black and then quickly went back for the green. They now offer it in five colors! The fit is fantastic and the slight sheer of the fabric makes it feel incredibly elegant.
GUCCI HEELS
I own two pairs of plaid, black heels and honestly, they never see the light of day. I always find a more interesting heel to pair with whatever I am wearing. So, when I first saw these, I did question how much I would wear them. The answer? A LOT! They are so comfortable and interesting, without being too complicated to mix and match!
REGRET
Similar to last time, the theme here continues to be the items that proved too hard to style again and again as well as pieces that were too expensive and I didn’t satisfy my cost per wear rule. It is always a bummer when this happens, but you live and learn!
PRADA SHOES
Okay, I was giddy when I first got these. They are well made, are a great fit, and a comfortable heel hight. SO why are they on the regret list? I feel that given the high price point, I simply haven’t worn them enough. The white color is VERY white and I wish that I had got them in the brown instead.

OMBRE COAT
Fab coat, not nearly enough wear. I love prints and patterns and I feel like this coat looks best with a paired back neutral look. Something I don’t typically go for. I still *love* the idea of this coat, but I would have gotten way more use out of a different piece.

GUCCI JACKET
Saw this, loved it, and was thrilled to find it second-hand. The joy kind of ends there. Another piece that felt tricky to style again and again. If I wear more than say two colors with this jacket I start to look a bit like a toddler playing dress up. I am not giving up though and plan to keep it in my closet…for now.

PARIS TEXAS BOOTS
This regret is a bit of a tricky one. I already owned black boots that I really liked from Zara. I wanted to upgrade a bit and bought these. However, when push came to shove, I continued to look for the Zara boots. This was just a lesson in “don’t buy two of something until you really need a replacement”. I love Paris Texas boots and these are a great style, I just didn’t need a second pair of black, western style boots in my closet.

PURPLE LEATHER MIDI SKIRT
Real talk here! I try not to be ‘label blind’ or buy an item because I am wowed by the % of savings, but in this case, I didn’t follow my own rule. I found this Bottega skirt for under $500 in my size (it was originally over $5K). I jumped on it. A few months later I ended up selling it to TRR. I wasn’t finding enough reasons to wear it!

Amazon Sundays: Color, in Small Doses
This week’s Amazon Sunday is all about building out your fall accessories, those finishing touches like a brooch or a great shoe. When so much of the outfit is covered, the smaller details take on a bigger role. Having fun with them is the easiest way to add unexpected color in a little dose that still makes such an impact. A berry necklace, a turquoise glove, or a purple flat can completely change what peeks out from underneath a coat.
I’m especially drawn to texture this time of year, since velvet, suede, resin, and soft knits give even the tiniest accent more weight. A leopard belt breaks up denim or trousers, colorful tights reset a dress or skirt entirely, and the right sunglasses carry that last bit of color up near the face. These are the Amazon finds I like keeping on hand, because they make repeating favorite fall pieces feel new every time.
Browse the full edit below, and explore more in our JB Amazon Shop and Amazon Storefront, refreshed weekly.
