Which OGs Are Back For Season 11 Of ‘RHOP’?

Published

on

Robyn Dixon

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, as Bravo has unveiled the official cast for season 11 of “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” or “RHOP.” According to a social media post from the network, the Maryland-based iteration of the popular reality show will feature returners Stacey Rusch, Wendy Osefo, and Tia Glover. Four OGs will also be in the mix, specifically Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, and Robyn Dixon.

Four OGs Are Back In The Mix For Season 11 Of ‘RHOP’ On Bravo

The news of Huger and Dixon’s return comes shortly after season 10 of the explosive reality series wrapped in March 2026.

Huger’s comeback will be the first time the TV personality is filming with the group for the regular episodes since being released from prison in September 2025.

Dixon is rejoining the cast as an official “friend” of the show after departing at the end of season 8.

For those who may be unfamiliar, Dixon spoke openly about being axed from the series on an episode of her podcast, “Reasonably Shady,” in 2024.

“Yes, I will not be returning to season nine of The Real Housewives of Potomac,” she said. “It’s reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words. I will not sugarcoat the situation and say, ‘Oh, I am walking away and this is a brea’ or anything like this. This is a network decision.”

Dixon joined the cast in season 1 alongside Bryant, Huger, Darby, Charisse Jackson-Jordan, and Katie Rost.

Throughout the years, Dixon remained at the forefront of the show’s drama, whether it be her explosive feud with Monique Samuels or her messy relationship with former Washington Wizards player Jaun Dixon.

Elsewhere, during the podcast episode, Dixon thanked the “RHOP” fans for riding with her for nearly a decade.

“Thank you to the fans who’ve watched us from day 1,” she said before sharing an emotional message.

“I do want to especially thank all of the fans and viewers who have supported me, showed loved to me. Whether you directly sent me love or you prayed for me or you have positive energy or positive thoughts around me, I appreciate you. And I hope I inspired you the viewers, the fans, to live your life authentically. To not feel pressure to change for anyone, or impress people, and just to be yourself,” she said.

What Drama Can Fans Expect To See On Season 11 Of ‘RHOP’?

While the details about the season are still being kept private, viewers can expect to hear more from the cast about deeply personal details, including Huger’s stint in prison.

According to The Blast, the reality star was sentenced to a year in a Maryland correctional facility after being found guilty of driving under the influence.

During a sit-down with Andy Cohen, Huger responded to the claims that being on TV contributed to her reported struggles with alcohol, claiming that it couldn’t be further from the truth.

“The show actually saved me,” Huger shared. “It occupied me. I think I would have spiraled quicker without it. It gave me discipline. I had a routine. So, I can’t hate it. I don’t hate it. And I don’t need to blame it either. No, I was responsible for me. I was sick. I have the disease of alcoholism. I have the disease of, you know, taking prescription medicine and abusing it. That’s me.”

Wendy Osefo at BravoCon.

And that’s not all. Osefo’s legal issues will also be a major storyline during season 11 of the show.

According to The Blast, Osefo and her husband were arrested in October 2025 and charged with various fraud charges after authorities claimed they staged a burglary in order to receive money from their insurance companies.

The case is still ongoing; however, Osefo will be tried separately from her husband, Eddie.

At BravoCon 2025, Osefo spoke about the allegations, calling it an “unfortunate situation” before thanking the audience for their support.

“I am just so grateful for the support I’ve gotten from my cast members, as well as our production team, as well as Bravo. I am overwhelmed by the love so thank you so much,” she said.

8 Action Movies That Are Amazing From Start To Finish

Published

on

Keanu Reeves as Jack pointing a gun on a bus in Speed.

Sometimes, you don’t plan to watch a full 2–3 hour movie. I know I don’t. I just press play, give it a few minutes, and if it doesn’t pull me in, I’m out. Most films lose me somewhere in the middle anyway, even if they start strong.

But action movies are a bit different when they’re done right. When the story is tight and the action actually makes sense, you don’t feel the time passing. One scene leads into the next, and you’re not waiting for things to get better because they’re already gripping. That balance is hard to get right, which is why so many films fall apart halfway through. The ones on this list don’t have that problem. They stay consistent, keep the tension alive, and actually feel riveting from start to finish.

‘Speed’ (1994)

In Speed, during a routine assignment, officer Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves) becomes involved in a situation that involves a bomber who targets public transportation. After stopping an earlier threat, Jack learns that a new device has been placed on a city bus with a condition that it will detonate if the vehicle slows below a specific speed. He rushes to locate the bus and boards it while it is already in motion. Inside the bus, he meets Annie Porter (Sandra Bullock), a passenger who is forced to take control of the vehicle after the driver is injured.

As the story continues, Jack works with Annie to keep the bus moving while managing the passengers and steering through traffic. The attacker places certain conditions that require constant attention, since any mistake could trigger the device. While Jack is trying to talk to the authorities, as well as find a solution to eliminate the threat, the moving bus becomes the main focus.

Die Hard begins on the night of a corporate Christmas party, where John McClane (Bruce Willis) arrives at a high-rise building in Los Angeles to reconnect with his wife. While the event is underway, a group of armed men, led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), takes control of the building and holds the employees hostage. While McClane slips away from the main floor to avoid being caught, he quietly watches what’s happening inside the building while staying hidden.

Following the takeover, McClane moves through different levels of the building while using limited resources to interfere with the group’s plan. He establishes contact with outside authorities and attempts to pass information about the situation. Each action he takes creates a response from the attackers that forces him to adjust his approach while working to reduce their control over the hostages and prevent their plan from being completed.

The story of The Raid begins when a special police unit enters a heavily guarded apartment building that is controlled by a crime leader named Tama (Ray Sahetapy). The group, led by Officer Rama (Iko Uwais), climbs floor after floor with a goal to occupy the building and seize its leader. But early in the mission, they are discovered, and what began as a planned operation quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival inside the confined space.

With the growing situation, the members of the team become separated, and their communication breaks down. Still, Rama keeps pushing forward through the building, facing armed opponents stationed on every floor. The environment limits escape routes, and eventually, they are forced into confrontation. Each fight shifts Rama’s position in the building, as he continues toward his goal while adapting to the shifting conditions.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

After-School Fight Ends In Tragedy For Houston Teen Riley Dearmas

Riley Dearmas, a 13-year-old girl in Houston, Texas, lost her life following an after-school fight stemming from an escalated case of bullying. The fight reportedly involved a 10-year-old boy and has now added to the long list of similar incidents happening nationwide.

Now, families are speaking out. And demanding justice.

The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is diving in on ‘TSR Investigates.’

What Happened To 13-Year-Old Riley Dearmas Due To Bullying

According to Carter, Riley Dearmas, and a group of children, including the 10-year-old boy, were arguing over a weed pen. Per Riley’s mother, Ashley, the boy believed the pen was allegedly stolen by two of Riley’s friends.

“She had no idea what was going on… did not know. She backed up… even walked away,” Ashley explained of the altercation.

At that point, Riley’s two young friends went to get their older sister. Per Carter, that’s when “chaos ensued.”

“Riley stayed too long,” her mom told Carter. “Wrong place, wrong time. Too long.”

Footage of the incident captures someone yelling, “Who brought out a knife, bro?”

Ultimately, Ashley found out about her daughter’s death on social media. Furthermore, she didn’t know where her daughter was. Then, she received a call from the Coroner’s Office to confirm the passing of her daughter. However, she didn’t receive the opportunity to see Riley in person.

“I did not see my daughter’s body up til three days of her funeral when it was time for me to go and give the funeral home her clothing… and things of that nature,” Ashley told Carter, adding that police even lacked empathy in giving her updates on the case.

More On The After-School Fight In Houston

Furthermore, family members are reportedly skeptical about how police obtained information on the case, with officials reportedly asserting that Riley Dearmas arrived at the location with the intent to fight.

Scroll above to watch as family members explain what they believe really happened at the scene. Additionally, Carter shares the stories of other families who’ve faced the passing of their young children due to physical altercations with other children. Furthermore, licensed clinical mental health counselor Gretchen Campbell weighs in on how families can better nurture their children’s emotional and mental health and development. Lastly, Carter shares an update on Riley Dearmas’ case.

Real Reason Why Ben Affleck Is Paying $30M To Jennifer Lopez

Published

on

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck at ELLE Celebrates 2023 Women in Hollywood

Ben Affleck is reportedly willing to part with his $30 million stake in the Beverly Hills estate he once shared with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez if it means him being free from her forever.

The estranged couple finalized their divorce in January last year, but have been unable to offload their pricey marital mansion.

Meanwhile, the “Argo” actor has maintained close ties with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and the former couple recently stepped out for an outing with their son Samuel.

Ben Affleck seems to be fed up with anything relating to Jennifer Lopez, so much so that he’s willing to walk away from $30 million if it means he’ll never have to deal with her again.

The estranged couple went through a very public split for most of 2024, after Lopez filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Their divorce was finalized early the next year, after which they had to sort out the division of assets and interests as they didn’t sign a prenup when they tied the knot.

However, the exes still had to deal with each other because they had been unable to sell the $60 million Beverly Hills mansion they bought to host their blended family during their time together.

All that has changed now, with sources claiming that the “Accountant 2” actor is handing Lopez his share of their mansion so he can finally walk away and never have to deal with the singer again.

“This isn’t him giving anything,” an insider said. “This is him paying to be done. That house is the last tie, and he wants it gone, fast.”

The Actor Only Has Freedom On His Mind: ‘He Wants A Clean, Absolute Break’

At this point, having some peace of mind and tranquility is more important to the Oscar winner than making any profit or getting reimbursed for the mansion he owns with Lopez.

“He’d pay anything at this point,” the insider explained to journalist Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop. “Because peace of mind is worth more than the money.”

However, this is not him just throwing money around or some charitable ventures. It’s a calculated plan, the source shared.

“Ben isn’t acting out of kindness,” they noted. “He’s making a smart decision for himself. He wants a clean, absolute break, and this is the quickest way to get there.”

The move will see the “Maid In Manhattan” actress own full control of the property as well as any future profits from it,  but Affleck doesn’t mind.

“He’s not thinking about the upside,” the source explained. “He’s thinking about being free.”

Ben Affleck Reunited With Ex Jennifer Garner

Unlike his relationship with Lopez, Affleck has maintained close ties with ex-wife Jennifer Garner following their 2018 divorce.

On Friday last week, the pair reunited for an outing with their son Samuel, and one couldn’t easily tell whether or not anything like a divorce had happened between them.

Both actors seem to be doing well on their co-parenting journey and have often reunited for special occasions like Thanksgiving Day, birthday anniversaries, and special holidays.

Affleck and Garner, who also share children Violet and Fin, came together in February to host a paintball party in commemoration of Samuel’s 14th birthday.

According to the Daily Mail, they were seen arriving at Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, California, ready to have fun with their child.

They raised eyebrows at the same occasion last year when Affleck was seen affectionately hugging the “Elektra” actress.

Jennifer Garner Weighed In On Her Co-Parenting Relationship With Ben Affleck

It comes after Garner weighed in on her co-parenting journey with Affleck during a February appearance on Bustle’s “One Nightstand” podcast, revealing that it has taken a lot of sacrifices for them to get here.

“When your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom,” Garner said. “You kind of can’t help it, right? Because you don’t have the benefit of both sides, the yin and yang being in the same house, so you have to have a bit of both in the way you parent.”

“There’s a little bit of loss in that, but there’s also something gained in that,” she added, per Fox News. “You also just learn, it’s made me let go and not focus so much on the bringing up.”

Ben Affleck Once Admitted He Didn’t Want To Get Divorced From Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck
MEGA

Affleck previously shared that he never wanted their divorce before noting that they would be “connected” forever, particularly because of their kids.

“I didn’t want to get divorced, I didn’t want to be a divorced person, I really didn’t want to be a split family with my children,” he said in a 2020 “GMA” appearance. “It upset me because it meant I wasn’t who I thought I was, and that was so painful and so disappointing. In myself.”

“When you have children with somebody, you’re connected to them forever,” the actor continued. “And I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children. I’m very grateful and respectful of her.”

Affleck added, “Our marriage didn’t work, and that’s difficult. Both of us really believe that it’s important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they’re together or not.”

Since their split, Affleck and Garner have maintained a friendly co-parenting relationship and are regularly seen together supporting their children.

According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Anthony Griffin allegedly used a machete to stab three people inside Grand Central Terminal. And, victims include a 65-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman, and an 84-year-old man. Authorities say the attack began after Griffin entered the subway system in Queens around 9:30 a.m. Additionally, he rode a No. 7 train into Manhattan and began the assault upon arrival at Grand Central. Police reported that officers later encountered Griffin on the 4/5/6 platform, where he refused repeated commands to drop the weapon before advancing toward officers. Police fatally shot him after a 10-minute standoff.

Victims Stable, Police Shoot Griffin After Standoff

Tisch stated that all three victims sustained serious injuries, including head and facial lacerations. Additional injuries include an open skull fracture, but the victims were taken to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition. Officials also confirmed that the victims did not know Griffin, describing the attack as random. It was also noted that he had three prior arrests. Two NYPD officers are also hospitalized in stable condition following the incident.

Following the attack, Grand Central Terminal was partially shut down as authorities secured the scene with yellow tape and diverted multiple subway lines, including the Nos. 4, 5, and 6 trains. Officials, including New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, praised the rapid police response as investigations continue and authorities prepare to release body camera footage as part of standard procedure.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani Speaks Out After Incident

Mayor Zohran Mamdani also spoke out on Saturday morning, taking to X to address the incident at Grand Central Station. He said he received briefings that a man allegedly slashed three people on a platform with a machete before officers responded and shot Griffin. Mamdani noted that authorities pronounced the suspect dead while they hospitalized the three victims in stable condition, and he thanked the NYPD for their quick response. He also added that officials are conducting an internal investigation and will release body-worn camera footage as part of standard procedure.

Hulu’s 5-Part Superhero Sci-Fi Series Is Perfect From Start to Finish

Published

on

El's got that bloody nose thing going on again in Stranger Things 5

The sci-fi genre has received a lot of attention recently with shows like Pluribus, Severance, Murderbot, and many more. However, one notable entry into the genre that deserves more attention isn’t particularly new. In 2009, sci-fi fans were introduced to the fascinating superhero comedy Misfits, which follows a group of teens in trouble with the law as they accidentally gain supernatural powers, placing them in danger. Not only is it an original take on the traditional superhero origin, but with five seasons, Misfits will keep you entertained for a while, especially as it only gets better.

With a talented cast, many of whom were only beginning their careers, Misfits becomes a coming-of-age story as the characters grow from misbehaving teens into more balanced, though still flawed, adults. Even as the cast changes, the show remains engaging with its dark and cynical exploration of superpowers. In this way, Misfits was ahead of its time. These days, there are many gritty superhero shows that question the traditional story, from The Boys to Umbrella Academy to Doom Patrol, but at the time, Misfits was a unique concept. This deconstruction of the superhero narrative highlights the characters’ flaws as well as their powers, creating a more complex and rewarding story that viewers can easily invest in.

What Is ‘Misfits’ About?

While there are many twists along the way, Misfits follows a group of superpowered teens as they figure out who they are. The story begins with Alisha (Antonia Thomas), Simon (Iwan Rheon), Kelly (Lauren Socha), Curtis (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett), and Nathan (Robert Sheehan), five young individuals doing community service, when a supernatural thunderstorm hits. This gives them unexpected superpowers, or most of them. Nathan struggles to figure out what he can do, while Alisha realizes she can arouse people with a touch, Simon turns invisible, Kelly develops telepathy, and Curtis can rewind time. Yet, they are not the only ones affected; their probation officer, Tony (Danny Sapani), receives superstrength, but it also amplifies his rage, sending him into a frenzy directed at the children. After killing him in self-defense, they must hide the truth of what happened, including their powers, which is easier said than done, especially once Tony’s fiancée and fellow probation officer, Sally (Alex Reid), comes into their lives.

However, with five seasons, that is only the beginning of their journey. The threats they face grow, going from angry probation officers to religious cults and power-switching villains. This allows the story to develop in unexpected ways, and it certainly takes advantage of that. Misfits often takes bizarre twists, incorporating concepts like time travel and resurrection, which are always good for a surprise. However, the show also features grounded elements by showing realistic character struggles, such as difficult family situations, exploring sexuality, and a lack of self-confidence. The result is an exciting series that is impossible to stop.

10 Sci-Fi Shows That Are Almost As Good as ‘Stranger Things’

Not quite the Upside Down, but close enough.

‘Misfits’ Isn’t Your Average Superhero Show

While superheroes have become widely popular, Misfits doesn’t follow all the classic hallmarks of that genre. The series is a less optimistic version of the story as the characters struggle more than ever after they get their abilities. With a grim and violent tone, Misfits doesn’t follow your typical heroes, and that is especially clear in the abilities they receive. The group doesn’t get random powers, but ones that highlight their flaws and insecurities. Take Simon, for example, who often feels ignored and isolated even before he can turn invisible, which only amplifies those feelings. Similarly, Curtis’ power of rewinding time is tied to his feelings of regret. This unconventional method of assigning power highlights the character’s personal struggles and makes their abilities darkly ironic.

As a show centering around the young and superpowered, Misfits is in the vein of Gen V or Marvel’s Runaways, but it was years ahead of its time. When the show premiered in 2009, superheroes were not yet at the peak of their popularity, and a show that highlights the flaws in the hero system was not what people were looking for. However, today, these are some of the most intriguing additions to the genre. Misfits picks apart the traditional superhero story with its dark commentary. Featuring themes of trauma and redemption, the series gets deeper than you might expect, yet it maintains the wit fans love, making it a perfect binge that never loses its touch.

Misfits is streaming on Hulu in the U.S.

Forget ‘The Boys,’ Watch HBO Max’s Twisted Sci-Fi Superhero Satire Before It Leaves This May

Published

on

Actor Alex Russell as Matt, screaming and throwing his arms up while standing in a garden in Chronicle.

While Warner Bros. proceeds confidently with its DC Universe — an interconnected franchise of superhero films and shows — its sister platform, HBO Max, is preparing to remove one of the most inventive spins on the Superman template. The movie in question will celebrate its 15th anniversary next year, although it’s unlikely that anyone will bring much attention to it considering its tainted legacy. The film’s director and writer didn’t get along, and they’ve both had their separate downfalls over the years. However, one of the three main stars of the movie recently won the Best Actor Oscar and has emerged as a bona fide star.

The movie was released in 2012, and much like its found-footage precursor Cloverfield, became a word-of-mouth hit. It was welcomed with positive reviews and audience support, going on to gross around $125 million worldwide against a reported budget of $25 million. Following the film’s success, both the director and writer were courted by studios and given the reins for larger projects. The movie we’re talking about, of course, is Chronicle — the found footage superhero film that flips the Superman origin story on its head. It follows three young boys who gain superpowers after being exposed to a meteor. While they initially have fun discovering their powers, the corruption begins to kick in not long afterward.

Queens, New York

🕷️ Spider-Man

You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.

  • You do the right thing not because it’s easy, but because no one else will.
  • You understand that responsibility isn’t a burden you choose — it’s one that finds you.
  • Whether it’s a neighbourhood mugging or a multiverse crisis, you show up.
  • Peter Parker’s lesson — that great power demands great responsibility — isn’t a slogan to you. It’s the code you live by, even when it costs you everything.

Hell’s Kitchen, New York

😈 Daredevil

You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.

  • You use every tool available — your mind, your body, your faith — to protect those the system overlooks.
  • You’ve looked into the darkness and chosen not to become it, though the line has never been easy.
  • Matt Murdock’s duality — champion in the courtroom, devil in the alley — mirrors your own.
  • Relentless, conflicted, and unwilling to stop. That is exactly you.

Stark Industries, Malibu

🤖 Iron Man

Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.

  • You lead with your mind and back it up with resources, innovation, and a stubbornness that borders on heroic.
  • You started out looking out for yourself, but somewhere along the way the world became your responsibility.
  • Tony Stark’s arc — from ego to sacrifice — is your arc too.
  • You build, you plan, and when the moment comes, you’re willing to give everything. Because in the end, you’re Iron Man.

New York City

💀 The Punisher

You’ve been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What’s left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.

  • You don’t ask for forgiveness, and you don’t expect gratitude.
  • You see a corrupt, broken world and you’ve decided to do something about it, consequences be damned.
  • Frank Castle’s war is born from love twisted by loss — and so is yours.
  • Uncompromising and unflinching — the world may not agree with your methods, but your conviction is absolute.

Asgard · Protector of the Nine Realms

⚡ Thor

Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.

  • You lead with strength but have learned — sometimes painfully — that true greatness comes from humility and growth.
  • You’re larger than life, yet more vulnerable than you let on.
  • Thor’s story is one of transformation: from arrogant prince to worthy king, from isolated warrior to beloved protector.
  • You bring the storm when it’s needed — and the warmth when it matters just as much.

Brooklyn, New York · The Avengers

🛡️ Captain America

You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.

  • You don’t bully the small guy, and you never stop when it gets hard.
  • Steve Rogers didn’t become a hero when he got the serum — he was always one. So were you.
  • Your strength isn’t in your fists; it’s in your refusal to compromise what’s right, no matter the cost.
  • In a world full of people taking the easy road, you’re the one who picks up the shield and stands up — every single time.

Here’s How Long You Have Left To Watch ‘Chronicle’ on HBO Max

Chronicle also addresses issues such as teen bullying and mass shootings in the U.S. Directed by Josh Trank and written by Max Landis, the film featured Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, and Michael B. Jordan. Chronicle holds a “Certified Fresh” 85% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics’ consensus reads, “Chronicle transcends its found-footage gimmick with a smart script, fast-paced direction, and engaging performances from the young cast.” Trank went on to direct the ill-fated Fantastic Four reboot of 2015, which he disowned a day before its release following an arduous production. The movie failed both critically and commercially. It featured Jordan as the Human Torch, a role that was previously played by Chris Evans and subsequently played by Joseph Quinn in 2025’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Jordan starred in Sinners in 2025, eventually winning the Best Actor Oscar for his dual performance. Chronicle is streaming on HBO Max, but only until May 1. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

‘Die Hard’ Meets ‘Air Force One’ in the 1997 Action Thriller Dominating Streaming

Published

on

A plane crashes through the roof of a building in Turbulence

Some late-’90s thrillers are too weird to stay dead forever. Turbulence is absolutely one of them. The movie bombed when it hit theaters back in 1997, but it has exactly the kind of over-the-top premise and wild villain energy that streaming viewers love rediscovering. That’s especially true when the villain is Ray Liotta in full maniac mode.

And funnily enough, the movie has climbed its way to the top of the streaming charts across the country. In fact, if you note the streaming charts now, you’ll note that it was sitting just behind the top title on the service. That’s a pretty amazing second life for a movie that made only about $11.5 million worldwide in theaters.

The full main cast of Turbulence includes Lauren Holly as Teri Halloran, the flight attendant forced to take control of the plane; Liotta as Ryan Weaver, the chained serial killer who turns the flight into a nightmare; Brendan Gleeson as Stubbs, the armed robber being transported alongside him; Hector Elizondo as Aldo Hines; Rachel Ticotin as Martha; Jeffrey DeMunn as FBI agent Frank Sinclair; John Finn as the air traffic controller helping from the ground; and Ben Cross as pilot Captain Matthew Reynolds.

Is ‘Turbulence’ Worth Watching?

A plane crashes through the roof of a building in Turbulence
turbulence-plane-crash-social
Image via MGM

Well, in a so-bad-it’s-good way, sure. Roger Ebert‘s review stated that Turbulence is the kind of thriller that never stops moving, even though almost none of it makes sense. The movie throws a killer, a storm, a nearly empty 747, and a long list of disasters into one story, then keeps piling on more chaos without worrying much about logic. The result is not tense so much as completely ridiculous.

“There are more questions. Like, if a 747 sheers off the roof of a high-rise restaurant, wouldn’t that cause it to crash? Like, if a 747 plows through an outdoor billboard, wouldn’t that cause it to crash? Like, if it sweeps all the cars off the roof of a parking garage, wouldn’t that cause it to crash? Like, if it gets a truck caught in its landing gear, what would happen then? (‘It’s a Ford!’ a sharp-eyed observer says, in a line that–for once–I don’t think represents product placement.) Oh, yes, there are many moments I will long remember from Turbulence. But one stands out. After Lauren Holly outsmarts and outfights the berserk killer and pilots the plane through a Level 6 storm, the FBI guy still doubts she can land it. ‘She’s only a stewardess,’ he says. To which the female air traffic controller standing next to him snaps, ‘She’s a . . . flight attendant!’”

Turbulence is streaming now.

Rene Nichole Coleman Jailed Over $1,650/Hour Pay Mix-Up

Rihanna Seemingly Addresses Baby Rumors, Talks "Little Pouch"

One situation involving a paycheck has folks doing a serious double-take. And now, Rene Nichole Coleman is at the center of a case that’s raising plenty of eyebrows. Because baby… this wasn’t just a little mix-up. This is the kind of payday that’ll have everybody checking their direct deposit real quick.

RELATED: Dirty Business? Tennessee Nurse Learns Fate After Smearing Dirty Diaper On Coworker’s Face (VIDEO)

Coleman Arrested After $1,650/Hour Payroll Mix-Up

According to reports, authorities arrested Rene Nichole Coleman, 50, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, months after a judge reportedly found probable cause to charge her with felony theft involving more than $5,000 but less than $25,000. The case stems from an alleged payroll error at her former job. And apparently, officials say she was mistakenly paid an eye-popping $1,650 per hour for a 12-hour shift. Investigators claim Coleman, who normally earned $16.50 an hour, ended up receiving an overpayment totaling $19,388.

Company Demands Money Back As Dispute Escalates

Once the company realized the mistake, the CEO reportedly attempted to recover the funds, but things took a turn when Coleman allegedly refused to return the money. Reports state that the employer then brings the situation to law enforcement, providing financial documents and emails to support the claim that the overpayment was made in error. Authorities say the situation escalated after attempts to resolve the issue directly failed.

Missed Meeting Leads To Arrest And Court Date

According to investigators, Coleman initially agreed to speak with authorities about the situation but never showed up for the meeting. Authorities later issued a bench warrant, took her into custody on Monday, and booked her into the Craighead County Detention Center. Furthermore, a judge set her bond at $15,000, and she is expected to appear in court again on May 18 as the case continues to unfold.
