Love Island Season 8 Reunion Revelations: Sex Confessions, Feuds
More than a month after exiting the villa, the season 8 stars of Love Island USA sat down for a reunion full of sex confessions, relationship updates and surprising feuds.
The reunion was hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen which reunited “this season’s winners, fan-favorite couples, and this year’s bombshells for an up close and personal look back at their experience in the Villa,” according to a press release.
Bryce Alakai, Trinity Tatum, Aniya Harvey, Carl Schmidt, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou were front and center alongside Dylan Wrona, Kenzie Annis, KC Chandler, Tierra Davis, Corbin Mims and Parmida Keshani.
Elsewhere in the show, Caleb McDaniel, Jaiden Bacciocco, Amora Robinson, Sydney Eugene, Ronnie Gunter, Gal Tshnieder, Jen Terry, Chay Nehra, Gabriel Vasconcelos, Sol Dean, Beatriz Hatz and Sean Reifel discussed their time in Fiji as well.
Love Island USA originally premiered in the U.K. in 2002 before it expanded with various spinoffs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. The series follows a different group of singles every season who have to pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa.
The contestants — referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa and are under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and stand a chance at receiving the $100,000 prize.
Keep scrolling for the biggest reunion revelations:
Relationship Statuses

During the reunion, Kayda and Zach confirmed they are “dating” and consider themselves exclusive. The duo clarified, however, that they don’t refer to each other as girlfriend and boyfriend since they haven’t had the chance to spend too much time together outside of the villa.
Melanie and Sincere were on the same page about dating without labels. She admitted to Andy that she was still working on trusting Sincere.
Bryce and Trinity — and Aniya and Carl — are also still together after coupling up on the show. Later in the reunion, Kenzie said she has already told Dylan that she loves him.
Corbin and Parmida shocked their fellow Islanders when they revealed they were no longer together. Another surprising couple update was Sydney Eugene and Ronnie Gunter revealing that they explored their connection.
Sex Confessions
When online comments about how Carl “can’t handle” Aniya in the bedroom were brought up, she replied, “I fear he can.” Carl, for his part, stumbled over his words while hinting that a “gentleman” never tells.
Jen, meanwhile, told the audience she didn’t have sex with Gabe — despite the show hinting at it. Caleb and Jaiden both agreed that they had a “good” time when they had sex post-villa but it fell apart when they weren’t on the same page about what they wanted.
Surprising Love Triangle
Jaiden made a surprising claim about how she thought Jen helped Caleb break up with her. Jen and Caleb clarified they were best friends.
The Aftermath of the Villa

KC said he hasn’t been on social media due to death threats and racial slurs being sent his way due to him choosing Titi over Aniya.
There was another tense moment when Sol attempted to address her issues with her fellow Islanders. It led to multiple back and forth arguments with the others — with Sol still on the outs with some cast members.
Kenzie and Melanie’s Falling Out
After Kenzie was caught complaining about Melanie’s increased screen time, the duo addressed their issues. There was a brief argument before both Kenzie and Melanie clarified that they were still interested in reconciling.
Bryce and Zach’s Close Friendship
The pair stood by the bond they developed while in Fiji together. Zach, however, said it was difficult seeing the homophobic response from some viewers and the claims his platonic affection was one-sided.
Unseen Footage

In addition to more footage from the post-Casa recoupling, the reunion also showed more from Gabe’s elimination, Sol and Melanie’s conversation and more.

Blake Lively Awarded A Fraction Of $8 Million In Attorney Fees
Blake Lively appears to be moving on from her lengthy legal battle with “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni.
The actress was recently spotted in high spirits enjoying some quality family time with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, just days after a judge ruled on her multimillion-dollar request for legal fees.
Lively had asked for more than $8 million in attorneys’ fees and costs from Baldoni. However, she ultimately received just over $400,000, with Baldoni’s lawyer celebrating the significantly reduced amount as a victory for his client.
Lively and Reynolds were spotted out in Manhattan on Friday night alongside members of their family, including the “Gossip Girl” alum’s sister, Robyn Lively.
According to TMZ, the outing marked the first time the couple had been spotted since a judge ordered Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios to pay a fraction of the legal fees Lively requested.
Despite receiving substantially less than she wanted, the actress appeared to be in good spirits during the outing in the company of family. Photos obtained by the publication showed Lively smiling as she spent time with her family.
The sighting comes months after Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement that brought an end to the majority of their highly publicized legal battle.
However, the question of who would pay the actress’s legal fees remained unresolved until last week.
Blake Lively Initially Asked For More Than $8 Million In Legal Fees
On August 26, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman partially granted Lively’s request for attorneys’ fees and litigation costs stemming from Baldoni’s previously dismissed defamation claims. According to People Magazine, Lively requested a total of $8,035,040.88.
The amount included approximately $7.5 million in attorneys’ fees and another $539,514 in litigation costs.
However, Judge Liman reduced the cost significantly. He ultimately awarded her $363,245.40 in attorneys’ fees and $44,206.35 in litigation costs, bringing her total award to $407,451.75.
While the judge did not find the hourly rates charged by Lively’s attorneys unreasonable, noting the complexity and unusually high stakes surrounding the case, he took issue with the amount of time for which the actress sought reimbursement.
“The number of hours for which Lively seeks reimbursement is unreasonable,” Liman wrote in his ruling.
The judge also determined that Lively could recover reasonable expenses related specifically to defending herself against the defamation claim rather than expenses from the entire legal dispute.
Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Celebrated The Reduced Fee
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, quickly weighed in after the ruling and portrayed the dramatically reduced award as a victory for his client. Lively received approximately five percent of the amount she initially requested, which is a huge win in his book.
“The ruling is a significant victory for my client,” Freedman told TMZ. He added that the decision sent a message that “the courtroom is not a place to take advantage of the law for your own personal gain.”
Freedman also described Lively’s request for more than $8 million as “outrageous and unreasonable.”
The actress’ attorneys, Esra Hudson and Michael Gottlieb, unsurprisingly had a very different interpretation of the ruling.
They emphasized that Baldoni and Wayfarer were still required to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars and described the award as historic under the California law Lively used to pursue reimbursement.
“As we have said from day one, Blake Lively’s case was never about money, it was about accountability,” her attorneys reiterated.
They further argued that the decision demonstrated that there can be financial consequences for bringing retaliatory lawsuits.
The Judge Questioned Some Of Lively’s Legal Expenses

The size of the reduction came after Baldoni’s attorneys challenged the amount of money Lively wanted returned to her. According to Variety, Lively’s legal team billed thousands of hours while defending her during the high-profile dispute.
Baldoni’s attorneys argued that the request included excessive hours and work that extended beyond the defamation claim for which Lively was eligible to recover fees.
On that note, Judge Liman agreed with them.
Although he acknowledged that the overall case involved “substantial financial and reputational risks for all parties involved,” he concluded that not everything billed by Lively’s attorneys could reasonably be passed along to Baldoni and Wayfarer.
The judge specifically rejected reimbursement for some public relations-related work.
“Media relations were not integral to defending the defamation claim brought against Lively,” Liman wrote, adding that time spent dealing with press coverage was therefore not compensable.
Lively’s attorneys had argued that the enormous amount of work reflected the unusual scope of the litigation, which involved extensive discovery, thousands of documents and numerous lawyers.
Still, the court ultimately sided with Baldoni’s lawyer’s argument regarding how the recoverable fees should be calculated.
Blake Lively And Justin Baldoni Settled Their Legal War In May
The attorneys’ and litigation fee ruling was one of the final unresolved issues remaining from the bitter legal fight between Lively and Baldoni. The former “It Ends With Us” co-stars initially reached a settlement in May, shortly before their dispute was scheduled to head to trial.
Lively had accused Baldoni and others associated with Wayfarer Studios of harassment and retaliation. In turn, Baldoni denied her allegations and responded with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds and others.
The defamation action was dismissed, while most of Lively’s claims were also dismissed before the remaining dispute was eventually settled.
No money changed hands as part of that settlement, according to Variety.
In a joint statement announcing the resolution, the parties acknowledged that the legal process had “presented challenges” and expressed hope that everyone involved could move forward.
The August 26 attorneys’ fee ruling appears to have resolved one of the last financial questions left hanging over the case.
And days after receiving a little over $407,000 of the more than $8 million she requested, Lively appeared to be doing exactly what the settlement statement suggested: moving forward, with Reynolds and her family by her side.

Billie Eilish’s Brother’s Wedding Sparks Hypocrisy Claims
Billie Eilish is facing accusations of hypocrisy after her role in her brother Finneas O’Connell’s lavish California wedding brought one of her own past statements back into the spotlight.
The singer had previously spoken forcefully about immigration and America’s history, but critics seized on the location of Saturday’s celebration to question whether her actions matched her public views.
The backlash has since widened, with social media users also challenging Eilish over wealth, capitalism and the lifestyle surrounding the star-studded event.
The criticism surrounding Billie Eilish centers largely on where her brother’s wedding took place rather than the ceremony itself. O’Connell tied the knot with Claudia Sulewski at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, on Saturday, with Eilish taking part in the celebration alongside a crowd of celebrity guests.
Among those attending were Justin and Hailey Bieber, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, adding to the high-profile nature of the occasion.
However, the location quickly became a talking point because the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians has identified Montecito as part of territory that once encompassed roughly 7,000 square miles of its ancestral lands.
That detail brought one of Eilish’s previous statements back into the conversation. At the Grammys in February, she criticized immigration enforcement while declaring, “no one is illegal on stolen land.”
Critics subsequently argued that participating in a lavish celebration on land with that history created an uncomfortable contradiction.
One user wrote per the Daily Mail, “Hypocrisy much? She lectures everyone about “stolen land” then hosts a lavish wedding ON that exact same land! Words ≠ actions!” Another mocked the situation with the question, “Oh did they have it in… AMERICA?”
Eilish’s Wealth Sparks A Separate Wave Of Criticism

The backlash soon expanded beyond the question of Native American land, with some users using the wedding’s extravagant setting to revisit Billie Eilish’s views about money and capitalism.
One commenter pointed to her previous criticism of billionaires, writing, “Same girl that said billionaires shouldn’t even exist,” while arguing that the Grammy award winner herself was “pushing pretty close to having a quarter of a billion dollars.”
Another social media user was even more scathing, describing Eilish as “Of all the tone deaf hypocrites in Hollywood” and predicting she would continue benefiting financially from the very systems she has criticized.
“Watch this “anti-capitalist” sell more sweatshop junk to her fans tomorrow too,” the commenter added.
Other critics focused specifically on what they believed Eilish should do regarding the wedding location. One suggested that the 24-year-old “should publicly apologize to the native Americans and give a land acknowledgment.”
Another commenter accused Eilish of presenting herself as a “cosplay struggle artist” while benefiting from the very things she publicly protests. The user ultimately argued that people should not “take these people seriously or seek their advice or opinion.”
Billie Eilish Draws Elon Musk’s Attention Before Her Brother’s Wedding
Before Eilish’s role in her brother’s August 29 wedding became the subject of a fresh controversy, she was already caught up in another headline-making clash involving Elon Musk.
The episode began after the “Lovely” singer promoted her latest fragrance, Eilish Intense, on X on August 27.
Musk responded to the post by asking Grok, his AI chatbot, to attack what he characterized as a contradiction between Eilish’s criticism of capitalism and her luxury lifestyle.
Musk specifically instructed Grok, writing, “Please roast Eilish’s hypocrisy in hating on capitalism and ‘stolen land’ while selling perfume and living in luxury on that same land.”
Grok initially produced a relatively restrained response, arguing that Eilish’s criticism of capitalism appeared inconsistent with her perfume business and wealth.
Musk apparently wanted something harsher. After reading Grok’s first response, he replied, “That is far too short and boring. Be at least a little vulgar, longer and wittier.” Grok subsequently produced a more aggressive roast aimed at Eilish.

Eilish Faces Backlash After Saying Eating Meat Is ‘Inherently Wrong’

The controversy involving Elon Musk was not the only instance in which Billie Eilish found herself in hot water over her comments.
Earlier this year, the singer sparked a separate debate after giving an uncompromising answer about eating meat during an Elle interview.
Asked what “hill” she would die on, Eilish warned, “Ya’ll ain’t gonna like me for this one,” before stating, “Eating meat is inherently wrong.”
Eilish, who has been vegan since she was 12, explained that she struggled to reconcile a person’s love for animals with continuing to eat them. “Two things cannot coincide: ‘I love all animals so much and I eat meat,’” she said. “Sorry — you could eat meat, go for it, you could love animals, but you can’t do both.”
Her comments prompted criticism online, but Eilish did not soften her position. Instead, she posted graphic footage depicting animal mistreatment and challenged people who disagreed with her to learn more about the meat industry.
She wrote, “Go watch a documentary or two and some footage of what is done to the animals u claim to love and what it does to the planet u pretend to love as well.”
She also expressed frustration that showing empathy toward animals had become controversial, writing, “I am so tired of standing up for/having empathy for living beings being controversial.”
Billie Eilish Explains Why She Keeps Speaking Out On Politics

That willingness to speak her mind extends beyond animal rights. In the same interview, Eilish also addressed why she continued to use her enormous platform to discuss political and social issues, despite knowing it could make her controversial.
Asked about activism, Eilish explained that her approach was shaped by how she was raised. “I was raised like this,” she said, describing the instinct to intervene when she sees people being mistreated.
The songwriter questioned why celebrities should be expected to remain silent simply because their political opinions might generate controversy.
“When you have this insane platform that you can use to advocate for people, but you’re not advocating for people because you don’t want to be controversial?” she stated.
Eilish then challenged the premise that speaking up should be considered problematic in itself. In her words, “Why is it controversial to step in when someone’s getting bullied and try to stop it?”

10 Cancelled Superhero Shows Fans Are Still Begging To Bring Back
One of the hardest things about television is that, sometimes, shows get canceled far before their story is told, or before fans are ready to let it go. This commonly happens in superhero television, and this has led to a lot of shows where fans are desperately wishing to see another season of these shows, as they most rightfully deserve.
Whether it’s a Spider-Man series, or a more niche character like The Tick, there are plenty of superhero shows out there that more than deserve more time in the sun—running for a good four seasons or only one. Series get canceled for plenty of reasons, but regardless of what they are, there’s no denying that some never get what they truly deserve.
‘Cloak & Dagger’ (2018–2019)
Two characters that have not gotten the love they deserve—until they were included in Marvel Rivals, that is—are none other than Cloak and Dagger. However, they did have a great run—a two-season series—in 2018 through 2019 with Cloak & Dagger. Starring the likes of Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph, this show both had great performances, and very cool action.
While it had a lower viewership than the studios and network would have liked, those who did see it genuinely enjoyed it, and were sad to see it die out so soon. Now that shows like the ones from the Netflix era are making a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s a decent chance that Cloak & Dagger could also make a comeback, and fans of the show are hoping for it. The series provided a fun and unique coming-of-age story that had great writing, especially for the two main characters and their dynamic.
‘The Tick’ (2016–2019)
One of the more niche superheroes who simultaneously has a profoundly dedicated fanbase is none other than that of The Tick. He has had a good few adaptations over the years, but one of the best comes in the form of The Tick from 2016. When The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) discovers that his city is owned by a supervillain, he and Arthur Everest (Griffin Newman) team up to expose the conspiracy.
This hilarious television series offers a great satirical look at the superhero genre in a way that other shows that do the same, like The Boys, don’t. However, despite how gut-wrenchingly funny it is, The Tick also offers a deep look into trauma and mental health when it takes a moment to bring more drama into the mix. This leaves the show feeling layered and complex. Unfortunately, it only lasted two seasons and should have gotten more recognition when it was airing. Another unfortunate case of low viewership in comparison to a high production budget.
‘Moon Knight’ (2022)
Moon Knight had one of the most inconvenient release eras that it could have. With Bob Chapek being CEO of Disney and enforcing a quantity-over-quality business model, this miniseries wound up being released at a time in which Marvel fans were getting pretty sick of the company’s lackluster performance.
Jeremy Slater‘s Moon Knight, though, is an extremely well-done series. While not perfect, this project explores a corner of the MCU that had never been explored prior and was very unique in comparison to any other MCU movie or television show. The way it explores mental health, however, using the split personalities of the hero and exploring his deep trauma, made Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac) one of the most layered MCU heroes of the post-Avengers: Endgame era.
‘Teen Titans’ (2003–2006)
Of the most beloved DC Comics-based television shows, Teen Titans most definitely lands in the top 5. There were a lot of issues behind the scenes, most likely regarding licensing, financial issues—the typical works—that led to Teen Titans not getting the green light for a sixth season. It’s safe to say, based on any kind of fan discussion found on the internet regarding this show, that people were absolutely devastated at the cancellation.
Teen Titans did a wildly good job with its tonal balancing, being able to go from goofy, anime-style fun to dark and dramatic emotional development at the flip of a switch. Fans genuinely got invested in these characters, and it led to them genuinely hating on Teen Titans Go! for being the show to come after it. For two decades now, audiences have been begging for a revival of this series, and for good reason.
‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ (2011–2013)
There’s zero question that Green Lantern has had a rough go in non-comic book media. With his most notorious outing being the 2011 Green Lantern movie, starring Ryan Reynolds. In fact, that exact project is what most likely caused the death of the animated series airing the same year, Green Lantern: The Animated Series. The most unfortunate part of all this is that this animated bout is actually really good. With well-written characters, an engaging plot, smooth animation, and great vocal performances, this series really had something special.
The CG-animated television show was incredibly well-done, thanks to directors Sam Liu and Rick Morales, and the absolutely astounding performance by Josh Keaton as Hal Jordan. Without a doubt, if Green Lantern: The Animated Series was released in any other era of the character, it would have had a much larger chance of success. Of any DC Comics animated show out there, Green Lantern: The Animated Series was the most screwed over, and, therefore, is the most deserving of another chance.
‘The Punisher’ (2017–2019)
If the success of the recent Disney+ special, The Punisher: One Last Kill, is any indication of fan desires, then it’s clear that people want to see more of the character and, specifically, his own series, The Punisher. Even if it’s a somewhat sequel series like how Daredevil: Born Again is for Daredevil, people genuinely want more Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
The Punisher wasn’t as appreciated in viewership as the likes of the other Netflix shows, but it was still incredibly good, belonging right next to them. It’s not perfect, no—having some issues with pacing at some points—but audiences love Jon Bernthal as Punisher (if Spider-Man: Brand New Day is any proof) and want to see more of him. Bringing the original team behind The Punisher back, like they did for Daredevil: Born Again, would be a perfect opportunity to bring forth a whole new group of people to watch Punisher on television that may not have caught its first two seasons.
‘X-Men: Evolution’ (2000–2003)
If there’s any X-Men property that people want Marvel Studios to take from for their upcoming X-Men franchise, it’s X-Men: Evolution, an animated series from 2000 that lasted until 2003. What the four seasons of this X-Men adaptation do is bring the core cast into their younger years, making them students at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters—unlike the most popular iteration of the team from X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men ’97.
What makes X-Men: Evolution so special is this change, which supplies the wonderful character drama at play, feeling more like a coming-of-age story with classic teenage drama and angst, rather than a group of adults teaming up. This not only made it more relatable for its younger viewers, but it truly made the team feel so engaging and interesting.
‘The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ (2010–2012)
Of Marvel Animation’s many canceled animated series that deserve a comeback, one of the highest on the list is The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. This is one of two major series that got hit hard by many shifts at Disney around this time, with this iconic show being canned for a new show, Avengers Assemble, which looked like, had characters, and featured plot lines far more in line with the MCU.
Nobody was happy about this, though, as many on the internet have considered The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as one of the greatest adaptations of the Marvel Comics universe of all time. Few series have adapted Marvel comic book stories better than the writers and directors behind The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes did. Many people who worked on the show, like Christopher Yost, Josh Fine, and Thomas Perkins, have spoken heavily about what a third season would have entailed.
‘Swamp Thing’ (2019)
One of the most underrated comic book shows of all time is easily 2019’s Swamp Thing. This show had absolutely astounding reviews when it was airing on the fledgling DC Comics streaming service, DC Universe, which was quickly demolished for HBO Max. Many attribute this to being why the show ended so soon, but that is not the case. The showrunner, Mark Verheiden, spoke to Multiverse of Color to deny that the show was “too expensive” and rather stated, “There may have just been a fundamental misunderstanding about the show we were making versus the show they were expecting…”
Swamp Thing, as stated, had phenomenal reviews when it was released. This may truly be one of the most well-received live-action DC Comics shows of all time, based off of comparing review numbers. Now that James Gunn‘s DCU is around and kept characters like Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) from the old universe, there’s ample opportunity to bring Swamp Thing back and give this show another chance.
‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’ (2008–2009)
If one were to ask pretty much any Marvel Comics fan online what the most beloved modern Marvel animated series is, they’d probably tell you that the most common consensus is The Spectacular Spider-Man. This is for very good reason, too, with the show containing some of the most beloved Spider-Man writing of his many adaptations. With excellent drama, a fun art style, and great voice acting—Josh Keaton back at it once again—this show has gone down in history as one of the best Spider-Man iterations, period. With around five seasons—65 episodes—and some movies supposedly planned, and it only getting two, people were pretty sad to see this one go.
The petition—social and literal—for the third season of this show has been running strong for a whopping 17 years. #SaveSpectacularSpiderMan is a commonly used hashtag that fans have utilized to show their desire for the show’s return. It’s simply not that easy, though, as the cancellation of The Spectacular Spider-Man was that of legality. With Disney getting the short-form television rights for Spider-Man within their acquisition of Marvel Comics in 2009, and Sony Pictures Animation retaining the rights for The Spectacular Spider-Man, the show is legally unable to return. That is, unless the two companies were to come together to make a deal of some sort. The likelihood of that is stronger in the 2020s than ever before, but still a long shot, sadly.

ADL CEO Reportedly Pushed To Cancel Galliano Met Gala
John Galliano has withdrawn from a planned exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, ending plans for the showcase that was expected to inspire the theme of the 2027 Met Gala. The decision comes amid renewed scrutiny of the fashion designer’s controversial past.
Now, reports indicate that the Anti-Defamation League CEO, Jonathan Greenblatt, had urged Met officials to cancel the Galliano-themed event.
On August 31, fashion designer John Galliano and Met Gala officials released a statement that the 2027 “John Galliano: Horizons” exhibition will no longer proceed, as The Blast reported.
The news came after months of scrutiny over the Met Gala theme, which courted controversy because it would have honored Galliano despite his history of antisemitic and racist remarks. The timing of the exhibition’s planned opening on Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Remembrance Day, also drew heavy criticism.
In 2011, Galliano was arrested in Paris after verbally accosting a couple with antisemitic remarks. He was charged, and later convicted, of making “public insults based on origin, religious affiliation, race, or ethnicity.” The following year, then French President François Hollande stripped Galliano of his Legion of Honor, the most prestigious medal awarded by the French Republic.
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt Reportedly Had A Crisis Meeting With Met Officials
With antisemitism at crisis levels, the Met honoring John Galliano at this moment was misguided, and even Galliano ultimately recognized what the Met should have done from the start. This was the wrong move at the wrong moment. Timing matters.
— Jonathan Greenblatt (@JGreenblattADL) August 31, 2026
The official announcement from The Met stated that The Met CEO, Max Hollein, and Galliano had “thoughtful discussions” and decided not to continue with the exhibition.
Now, several sources claim that Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, met with Hollein and another Met board member to discuss the controversial Met Gala theme. One source told Page Six that the decision to cancel the exhibition was based on “a combination of things,” but Greenblatt made the Jewish community’s voice heard.
“[Greenblatt] was urging them to reverse the decision on the Galliano show,” the source noted.
Following Galliano’s announcement, Greenblatt took to X and said the Galliano exhibit was “the wrong move at the wrong moment.”
The CEO Also Met With Anna Wintour And Andrew Bolton About The Met Gala
Greenblatt, together with a few rabbis, reportedly also met with Met Trustee Anna Wintour and Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton about the controversial Met Gala.
Galliano has apologized multiple times for his past antisemitic remarks, and according to a report by The New York Times, many Jewish leaders believed the designer’s “repentance was genuine.” However, Greenblatt later clarified his remarks to the outlet, saying that some parts of his statement were not printed in the report.
On X, he posted the full statement and expressed hope that The Met officials would respond accordingly.
Anna Wintour Commends John Galliano For His Courage

The “John Galliano: Horizons” theme for the 2027 Met Gala was announced in July. Shortly after, Wintour released a statement: “There is no one more deserving of an exhibition of this scale than John Galliano… His career isn’t defined by a single moment.”
According to reports, The Met was well aware that honoring Galliano was controversial, yet they decided to proceed. Along with the announcement, the press release noted that the exhibit would touch on the designer’s past.
“Alongside Galliano’s extraordinary creative accomplishments, the exhibition will address the derogatory conduct that fundamentally altered his career and public reception,” The Met noted, adding that the exhibit will also highlight “ethical accountability.”
Following the cancellation, Wintour said Galliano’s decision to withdraw was “very courageous” and “a measure of the man he is.”
Will The 2027 Met Gala Move Forward?
With no theme for next year’s Met Gala, many are wondering whether the event will still push forward. Since the event’s launch in 1948, the annual celebration has only been canceled a handful of times. It takes about five months or more to plan fashion’s biggest night, leaving plenty of time for organizers to regroup.
Per The Met’s press release, more information about how the 2027 costume exhibition will proceed will be announced at a later time.

HBO Max Officially Revives Matt Damon’s ‘The Town’ Replacement 5 Years Later
In summer 2021, one of the year’s most acclaimed crime thrillers was released, starring an ensemble cast led by Don Cheadle and Benicio del Toro. It is often considered a suitable successor to Ben Affleck’s The Town, as both films depict crime missions that begin simply but escalate into much larger and more perilous situations than the criminals anticipate. However, unlike The Town, which emphasizes emotional depth, this film focuses more on conspiracy and maintains a sense of uncertainty, keeping viewers guessing.
Directed by Oscar-winning Steven Soderbergh, No Sudden Move is a crime masterpiece that deserves more than one watch. Written by Ed Solomon, the film follows small-time criminals hired to steal what they believe is a simple document. When their plan fails badly, their quest to find out who hired them and their true goal takes them through various levels of the racially divided, fast-changing city. Set in Detroit in 1954, No Sudden Move combines a classic noir-style heist with corporate conspiracy, using the city’s evolving social and industrial setting as a key element of the story.
‘No Sudden Move’ Is One of HBO Max’s Best Crime Thrillers
Five years after its original release, No Sudden Move is enjoying a resurgence on HBO Max, consistently ranking among the Top 10 U.S. films for over a week. Currently, it holds the sixth spot, nestled between Mortal Kombat II and Tim Curry’s It. This resurgence is noteworthy, especially considering it received high praise from critics upon its premiere, particularly for Soderbergh’s direction and unique visual style, as well as the performances of its ensemble cast.
Similar to The Town, No Sudden Move holds a Certified Fresh 92% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus noting, “While it may not be on par with his best crime capers, No Sudden Move finds Soderbergh on entertainingly familiar ground and making the most of an excellent cast.” In addition to Cheadle and Del Toro, the ensemble cast includes Matt Damon, David Harbour, Jon Hamm (who also stars in The Town), Amy Seimetz, Brendan Fraser, Kieran Culkin, Noah Jupe, Craig Grant, Julia Fox, Frankie Shaw, Ray Liotta, and Bill Duke.
No Sudden Move streams on HBO Max. Stay tuned to Collider for future entertainment updates.

Justin & Hailey Bieber’s Intense Moment Raises Eyebrows
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber’s appearance at a star-studded Santa Barbara wedding took an unexpected turn when an animated exchange between the couple caught attention.
The pair were celebrating alongside other high-profile guests when Hailey appeared to speak emphatically to Justin before the two walked away in opposite directions.
The moment prompted questions about whether tension had surfaced between the spouses, although an expert who examined their body language offered a more measured interpretation of what viewers actually saw.
Justin Bieber and his wife attended the wedding of Finneas O’Connell and Claudia Sulewski in Santa Barbara on Saturday, joining the celebrity guests gathered for the celebration.
The “Baby” singer later shared cozy snaps from the event on Instagram, but another moment between the couple presented a noticeably different picture.
During the festivities, Justin and Hailey were seen talking animatedly beneath the Southern California sun.
Hailey appeared particularly expressive, using dramatic hand gestures while speaking before walking away from her husband.
Justin also headed in another direction, leaving the pair temporarily separated after the exchange.
The scene was enough to attract attention, particularly because of the way Hailey looked back toward Justin as he walked away.
Justin And Hailey’s Body Language Gets A Closer Look
Speaking about the incident, body-language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that the moment “gives the impression of tension or drama here.”
James also examined Justin Bieber’s posture during the interaction, saying his “gently hunched posture and the way his arms hang slightly in front of his torso makes him look less motivated and less positive here.”
Despite the appearance of tension, she stopped short of suggesting that the singer and model were actually fighting.
Her analysis pointed to an important detail in Hailey’s gestures, revealing that although she was waving her arms and pointing while speaking, those movements were not directed at Justin.
“Hailey has been waving her arms and pointing, although not at him so no signal of conflict,” James told the outlet.
Justin Bieber And Hailey’s Lake Photos Spark Marriage Buzz
The animated moment between Justin and Hailey has drawn attention for the wrong reasons, but just days earlier, the couple had offered a much more affectionate glimpse of their relationship.
On August 25, Justin took to Instagram to share a series of intimate photographs from a summer lake getaway.
The carousel showed the spouses enjoying time together outdoors, including a particularly affectionate image of Hailey embracing Justin in the water.
Hailey was wearing a camouflage bikini, while her husband posed with his arms around her and a cigar in his mouth.
The post was accompanied by a single red heart emoji, keeping Justin’s caption notably simple.
Other photographs from the trip showed the duo spending time with friends while boating, fishing and golfing.
More From The Blast
Justin And Hailey Show United Front After Tension
The more recent public images of Justin Bieber and Hailey have continued to show them appearing comfortable together, giving their marriage a noticeably different public picture from the periods when reports of tension dominated coverage.
Before the lake getaway, the lovebirds were photographed together at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on August 16, where they sat in front-row seats and appeared to enjoy the afternoon together.
Justin later shared his own photographs from the outing, including a selfie showing him and Hailey kissing.
The carousel also included images from their seats behind home plate, as well as a rare glimpse of their son, Jack Blues. Justin captioned the post with three heart emojis.
The Dodgers outing followed other recent public appearances showing the couple spending time together. They were also photographed enjoying a sushi date night earlier in August, while their summer has included time together away from Los Angeles.
Justin Bieber And Hailey Celebrate Son Jack’s Second Birthday
The affectionate picture Justin shared from Dodger Stadium was followed just days later by another glimpse into the couple’s family life.
On August 22, the Grammy winner and Hailey celebrated their son Jack Blues’s second birthday, with Hailey sharing a series of family photographs that offered a more personal look at their life away from the spotlight.
The Instagram post included photographs of herself with her son, moments with Justin, and snapshots taken during their travels and time outdoors. She captioned the carousel, “Our sweet baby is 2. Happy birthday Jack Blues.”
The couple continued to protect Jack’s privacy, keeping his face obscured in the photographs.
That approach has remained consistent since his birth in August 2024, even as Justin and Hailey have increasingly shared glimpses of their life as parents.

Jake Reiner Weds Fiancee 8 Months After Deaths of Parents
Jake Reiner has reportedly wed his fiancée, Maria Gilfillan, eight months after the deaths of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.
The private ceremony was held earlier this month, TMZ and People reported on Monday, August 31. No other details about the wedding were immediately available.
Jake, 35, previously offered a glimpse into his relationship with Gilfillan via Instagram last October when they attended another couple’s wedding in Las Vegas.
“The first ever wedding in Vegas was a success. Congrats to the Slacks,” he wrote at the time.
News of the couple’s nuptials follows a week after Jake opened up in detail about the aftermath of his parents’ murders for the first time in an interview with Los Angeles’ KABC-TV.
“It’s been eight months. It feels like eight years at the same time, and it also feels like eight minutes,” Jake told KABC-TV’s Mark Cota-Robles in an interview that aired on Thursday, August 27. “Every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality.”
Rob and Michele — who shared children Jake, Nick and Romy — were found dead inside their Brentwood, California, home on December 14, 2025. Within hours of their deaths, Nick, 32, was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder. (Nick has pleaded not guilty.)
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman recently described Rob and Michele’s deaths as a “profound betrayal by someone who was loved and trusted” by the couple.
“The indictment unsealed today also adds a special circumstance allegation that the defendant committed the murders by means of lying in wait,” Hochman, 62, said on August 12. “We hope that by having a grand jury return an indictment in this case it will bring us one step closer to a trial and achieving justice.”
In the wake of their parents’ deaths, Jake and sister Romy, 28, released a statement addressing “the unimaginable pain [they were] experiencing every moment of the day.”
“The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience,” the siblings told TMZ on December 17. “They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”
Their statement continued, “We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life. We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.”
Jake told KABC-TV earlier this month that he was still struggling to come to terms with the loss of “half” of his family.
“I mean [Nick is] in jail so, you know it’s — it’s like I physically lost my parents and then Nick was arrested and it’s like, now it’s just me and Romy,” he explained.
He later confirmed that he has not spoken to his brother, Nick, since the murders took place.
“For me, [grief] manifests into anger, it manifests into rage, into how unfair this was, how I didn’t get a say in what happened,” he acknowledged. “I didn’t get to stop it from happening. I had no choice in the matter, and I just have to accept the reality of it. And to me, that’s one of the most infuriating parts of all of this.”
Nick will be back in court on September 15 to hash out details for a preliminary hearing.

6 Years Later, Hulu’s Unforgettable Time-Travel Sci-Fi Is the Perfect Summer Movie
Summer is drawing to a close, and once more, the seasonal shift is occurring. Soon, the long summer days will be replaced by a colder autumn chill. Pumpkin-spiced lattes and sweaters will be back in fashion, and the summer fun will have to wait until next year. But summer’s not over yet. There’s still time to get one last hit of the season before fall comes along.
Palm Springs is the answer. The sci-fi romcom is the perfect movie to end the summer with, serving as a great transition between the two seasons. The sunny California setting and wild side quests capture the energy of summer while bringing up the topic of change. Full of time loop adventures, dangerous car chases, and a surprising emotional undertone, Palm Springs is a riotous good time. Starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, Palm Springs is a chaotically enjoyable mix of time travel and romance that feels unlike anything else in its subgenre.
‘Palm Springs’ Turns Time Travel into an Existential Romcom
Sarah (Cristin Milioti) wakes up on November 9th on the day of her sister’s wedding, depressed and unfulfilled. She’s disconnected from her family, struggling with borderline alcoholism, and holding onto a terrible secret. That evening at the reception, she meets Nyles (Andy Samberg), a wedding crasher without care. The two sneak off into the desert but when Nyles is attacked by a strange hunter (J.K. Simmons), Sarah follows Nyles into a cave. When Sara wakes up the next morning, she realizes it’s still November 9th — and she is stuck in a time loop with Nyles. Nyles reveals that he’s been trapped in the time loop for a long time, and no matter what he does, there’s no way to break the cycle.
The film behaves as many time loop stories do, with a sequence of the trapped characters engaging in consequence-free adventures, only to wake up on the same day time and time again. In a fashion reminiscent of Groundhog Day, the two characters test the limits of their situation and take advantage of the endless cycle. Sarah and Nyles spend the movie breaking into empty homes, getting into wild fights at bars, and growing closer to each other. Nyles, having been alone in the time loop, is overjoyed to have someone to share it with, but Sarah quickly grows nihilistic about her situation. What’s the point of living if each day is the same? How can Sarah find purpose when she’s trapped reliving the same day over and over again? When secrets are unearthed, Sarah and Nyles realize they can’t exist in the time loop forever, even if it means risking everything to escape.
Stuck in Time? ‘Palm Springs’ Shows You Might Need to Make a Change
Stories with time loops play with the concept of time in a way that makes audiences reconsider it. What would it truly be like to relive the same day countless times, unable to break free from the cycle? Often, the characters stuck in time recount how they’ve lived their lives thus far. Phil (Bill Murray) in Groundhog Day realized he spent too much time being close-minded and unfeeling, deciding to make a new effort in his life. Russian Doll saw Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) coming to terms with her troubled childhood and her complicated relationship with her mother. Time loops allow characters to reflect on their habits and encourage them to make changes they otherwise might not have initiated.
What these time loop stories demonstrate is the importance of change. The passage of time cannot be stopped, and in many ways, that is a good thing. Palm Springs focuses on the characters’ fear of change and growth. Nyles is afraid to move on while Sarah doesn’t want to face up to her actions. They are stuck in a literal time loop but also in their harmful mindsets that holds them back from evolving. It’s only when Sarah and Nyles decide to make a change in themselves that they find hope to escape the loop.
The end of summer is a transitional period for many people. For some, autumn is welcomed, while others have a harder time letting go of the sunnier months. Change can be hard, especially when the status-quo feels comfortable and familiar. Palm Springs encapsulates the complicated feelings about change in such a smart way. At first glance, the film seems like a ‘feel good’ summer flick, but there is a deeper message waiting to be addressed. The film’s conversations on time, change, and stepping outside comfortable habits make it a fun and thought-provoking movie that fits right in with the end of summer. Paired with Cristin Milioti’s stellar performance and Andy Samberg’s comedic flair, Palm Springs will have viewers laughing and leave them pondering what change means to them.
