Mel Gibson’s Brutal Box Office Bomb Is Officially Finding New Life on Streaming

Published

on

Mel Gibson holding a flashlight in Force of Nature

A Hollywood icon both on and off the screen, Mel Gibson is always stealing cinema headlines for better or for worse. The director, producer, and star of the multi-Academy Award-winning Braveheart took his controversy to new levels in 2004 when he debuted The Passion of the Christ, which fueled widespread backlash due to the graphic violence and even sparked accusations of antisemitism from those who claimed the film blamed Jewish authorities for the crucifixion.

The dust has now settled on The Passion of the Christ controversy, and Gibson is using this opportunity to debut a two-part follow-up that few had expected. The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One, the first half of Gibson’s ambitious follow-up, was originally scheduled for release on March 26, 2027, but was postponed to May 6, 2027, to make way for Johnny Depp‘s Day Drinker. Described as Gibson’s “most ambitious filmmaking achievement” and “the largest faith film ever brought to the screen,” The Resurrection of the Christ is one of the most anticipated movies of next year.

Ahead of its release, don’t miss out on this almost entirely forgotten modern Gibson thriller on free streaming. Titled Force of Nature, this formulaic action thriller was directed by Michael Polish and starred Gibson alongside Polish’s former wife, Kate Bosworth, and Emile Hirsch as he comes up against an entirely new opponent in the form of a Category 5 hurricane. The film received a limited theatrical release, making less than $500,000 against a reported $23 million budget. Four years later, you will be able to stream Force of Nature for free on Plex, starting September 1, 2026.

🎭Ethan Hunt

01

You’re dropped into a dangerous situation with no warning. What do you need most from a partner?
The first few seconds tell you everything about who belongs beside you.

02

You have to get somewhere dangerous, fast. How do you travel?
How you get there is half the mission.

03

You’re pinned down and outnumbered. What does your ideal partner do?
This is when you find out what someone is really made of.

04

The mission is paused. You have one evening to decompress. What does your partner suggest?
Who someone is when the pressure drops is who they actually are.

05

How do you prefer your partner to communicate mid-mission?
Good communication is the difference between partners and a liability.

06

Your enemy is powerful, well-resourced, and has the upper hand. How should your partner approach them?
The approach to the enemy defines the partnership.

07

Things go badly wrong and you’re captured. What do you trust your partner to do?
Who someone is when you need them most is the only thing that matters.

08

What does your ideal partner bring to the table that you couldn’t replace?
A great partner fills the gap you didn’t know you had.

09

Every partnership has a cost. Which of these can you live with?
No one comes without baggage. The question is whether you can carry it together.

10

It’s the final moment. Everything is on the line. What do you need from your partner right now?
The last question is the most honest one.

Your Partner Has Been Assigned
Your Perfect Partner Is…

Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.

Rambo

Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.

James Bond

Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.

Indiana Jones

Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.

John McClane

Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.

Ethan Hunt

Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

Jon Bernthal’s Brutal $211M WWII Epic Is Officially a Netflix Must-Watch

Published

on

fury-brad-pitt-poster.jpg

Jon Bernthal has spent much of his career playing men who look like they’re approximately three seconds away from doing something extremely violent, and this film might be the purest distillation of that particular talent. Before he became our favorite, well, Punisher for Marvel, Bernthal made the unwise decision to join Brad Pitt on the inside of a Sherman tank for one of the most relentlessly grim World War II films ever made.

Fury, from the acclaimed director David Ayer, is essentially the ground-level brutality of Saving Private Ryan shoved into the claustrophobic confines of Das Boot. And it’s available to stream on Netflix in supported territories. Set during the final weeks of World War II in April 1945, Fury follows hardened U.S. Army sergeant Don “Wardaddy” Collier (Pitt) and the crew of his Sherman tank as Allied forces push deeper into Germany. Their already dangerous mission becomes even more precarious when an inexperienced young soldier joins their battle-scarred unit, and he struggles to adapt to the emerging horrors that begin to surround them.

The film also stars Shia LaBeouf (Honey Boy) as Boyd Swan, Logan Lerman (Hunters) as Norman Ellison, Michael Peña (Ant-Man) as Trini Garcia, Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus) as Captain Waggoner, and Scott Eastwood (Fast X) as Sergeant Miles.

01

What we protect reveals what we believe survival actually requires.

03

What kind of threat keeps you up at night?
Fear is useful data — if you’re honest about what you’re actually afraid of.

04

How do you deal with authority you don’t trust?
Every dystopia has a power structure. Your approach to it determines everything.

05

Which environment could you actually endure long-term?
Survival isn’t just tactical — it’s physical, psychological, and very much about where you are.

06

Who do you want in your corner when things fall apart?
The company you keep is the clearest signal of who you actually are.

07

Where do you draw the line — if you draw one at all?
Every survivor eventually faces a moment that tests what they’re actually made of.

08

What would actually make survival worth it?
Staying alive is one thing. Having a reason to is another.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Was ‘Fury’ Successful?

Fury was an immense hit when it was released, grossing over $211 million worldwide, while it opened at No. 1 domestically with $23.5 million, and in doing so, knocking Gone Girl out of the top spot. Critics also found that the film had a lot going for it, with Fury accumulating a 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and an even better 84% score from audiences. It was felt that the portrayal of combat and war were particular highlights, even if it didn’t quite meet its bigger and grander ambitions.

Collider’s review believed that the film couldn’t escape its central thesis and that, despite its bold ambitions, it didn’t tell us more than what we as audience members were already aware of. As the review observed, “war is hell,” but despite its spectacular action, Fury “never take[s] us anywhere beyond what we already know.” Even so, it applauded the film’s willingness to portray deeply flawed American soldiers, concluding that the movie “can hit with a bang,” even if it “never much room to maneuver,” awarding it a B-.

Fury is streaming on Netflix in international territories.

Matthew McConaughey’s Forgotten Crime Hit Is Officially Leaving Streaming

Published

on

Matthew McConaughey on the red carpet

Last week, Matthew McConaughey made something of an acting comeback with The Rivals of Amziah King, a neo-Western crime movie that debuted in around 600 theaters nationwide and has so far grossed a little under $2 million. It marks McConaughey’s first live-action role in a theatrical feature since 2019’s The Gentlemen. During these last seven years, the Oscar-winner voiced the lead character in Sing 2 and headlined the Apple TV thriller The Lost Bus, directed by Paul Greengrass. McConaughey transitioned from matinée idol status to critical darling some time in the 2010s, culminating in an Oscar win for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club, and a lead role in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. In this transitional period, McConaughey starred in a potential franchise-starter that received positive reviews and delivered solid box-office results, but never actually spawned a sequel.

The movie in question is currently streaming in the United States on Peacock, but only for a little while longer. It was released in 2011, just two years after the last of McConaughey’s romantic comedies, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and a year before the so-called “McConaissance” began with the Southern Gothic drama Mud. The film was directed by the debut filmmaker Brad Furman and based on a series of novels written by Michael Connelly, whose work has also served as the basis for the long-running Bosch franchise on Prime Video.

Collider Exclusive · Taylor Sheridan Universe Quiz
Which Taylor Sheridan
Show Do You Belong In?

Yellowstone · Landman · Tulsa King · Mayor of Kingstown

Four worlds. All of them brutal, complicated, and built on power, loyalty, and the price of survival. Taylor Sheridan doesn’t write heroes — he writes people who do what they have to do and live with the cost. Ten questions will reveal which one of his worlds you were made for.

🤠Yellowstone

🛢️Landman

👑Tulsa King

⚖️Mayor of Kingstown

01

Where does your power come from?
In Sheridan’s world, everyone has leverage. The question is what kind.

02

Who do you put first, no matter what?
Loyalty in Sheridan’s universe is always absolute — and always costly.

03

Someone crosses a line. How do you respond?
Every Sheridan protagonist has a line. What matters is what happens after it’s crossed.

04

Where do you feel most in your element?
Sheridan’s worlds are as much about place as they are about people.

05

How do you feel about operating in the grey?
Nobody in a Sheridan show has clean hands. The question is how they carry the dirt.

06

What are you actually fighting to hold onto?
Every Sheridan character is fighting a war. The real question is what they’re defending.

07

How do you lead?
Authority in Sheridan’s world is never given — it’s established, maintained, and constantly tested.

08

Someone new arrives and tries to change how things work. Your reaction?
Every Sheridan show has an outsider disrupting an established order. Sometimes that outsider is you.

09

What has your position cost you?
Nobody gets to where these characters are without paying for it. The bill is always personal.

10

When it’s over, what do you want people to say?
Sheridan’s characters all know the ending is coming. The question is what they leave behind.

Sheridan Has Spoken
You Belong In…

The show that claimed the most of your answers is the world you were built for. If two tied, both are shown — you’re complicated enough to straddle two Sheridan universes.

🤠
Yellowstone

🛢️
Landman

👑
Tulsa King

⚖️
Mayor of Kingstown

You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.

You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

Watch Matthew McConaughey’s Dramatic Thriller on Peacock

By now you’ve probably guessed that we’re talking about The Lincoln Lawyer, the legal thriller in which McConaughey played the titular lawyer Mickey Haller. The movie also features Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, John Leguizamo, and Bryan Cranston. Produced on a reported budget of $40 million, the movie grossed nearly $90 million at the worldwide box office. It now holds a “Certified Fresh” 82% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “It doesn’t offer any twists on the predictable courtroom thriller formula, but with a charming Matthew McConaughey leading its solid cast, The Lincoln Lawyer offers briskly enjoyable entertainment.” The film will be removed from Peacock on September 1. While McConaughey didn’t play Haller again, Netflix rebooted the property as a streaming series that has so far aired four seasons. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Fergie and Josh Duhamel Celebrate Son’s 13th Birthday With Pics

Published

on

Josh Duhamel

Fergie and her ex-husband, Josh Duhamel, each celebrated their son Axl Jack’s 13th birthday by sharing rare family photos.

“13. 🎂🎂 Wow, my teenager,” the Black Eyed Peas alum, 51, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, August 29. “I’m saying that with tears in my eyes as I feel like the world is shifting beneath us.”

The singer posted a carousel of photos taken throughout her son’s life, starting with her cradling baby Axl Jack in her arms and continuing with his recent sports accomplishments.

“It’s so beautiful to watch you grow into the kind, silly, and cool dude you are,” Fergie added. “You are so tough bruh 🤣🤣. Happy 13th Axl Jack.”

On his own Instagram account, Duhamel, 53, shared more vintage photos of Axl Jack — including a sweet shot of him holding one of his newborn siblings. (Duhamel welcomed 2-year-old Shepherd and his sister Rocca De Leon, 3 months, with his second wife, Audra Mari.)

“Guess who’s a TEENAGER!? Holy crap that went fast,” the Transformers actor declared. “I love this dude so much. I couldn’t have asked for a more kind, compassionate and thoughtful kid. HAPPY 13th B-DAY AXL JACK!!!”

Fergie and Duhamel welcomed Axl Jack in August 2013. They announced in September 2017 that they were separating after eight years of marriage.

“With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” they confirmed in a joint statement to Us at the time. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

Us reported in November 2019 that Fergie and Duhamel reached a divorce settlement after two years of negotiating. Duhamel tied the knot with former Miss World America winner Mari, 32, at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo, North Dakota, in September 2022.

In April, Duhamel revealed on the “Tomi Lahren Is Fearless” podcast that he and Fergie were on “good” terms nearly a decade after their split.

“We have a really good relationship, thankfully. She’s a good person, she’s a good mom,” he said. “Thankfully she and my wife [Audra] have a good relationship.”

The actor went on to say, “It’s as good as it could possibly be. Thankfully. It’s very civil. There’s not any sort of hostility between anybody. So that’s really all I care about and I’d like to keep it that way.”

Fergie publicly congratulated her ex and Mari when they welcomed baby daughter Rocca de Leon in May. Duhamel has since revealed that Mari went through a “really hard” time while delivering their baby daughter.

“[Childbirth was] not good. I mean, it was great ultimately, but it was really hard on Audra, to be honest,” Duhamel disclosed on Live With Kelly and Mark in July. “She had this thing called placenta previa, which means the placenta was sitting between the baby and the cervix. That’s how women used to bleed out back in the day.”

He explained, “Thankfully, we have modern medicine and everything, so we knew it was there and we knew that we had to do a scheduled C-section.”

Dick Van Dyke Shows His Inversion Table Workout at 100

Dick van Dyke Says 40 Year Age Gap With Wife Arlene Is Irrelevant

Dick Van Dyke is still keeping fit after turning 100.

The Mary Poppins actor shared a part of his exercise regimen with his Instagram followers on Saturday, August 29, revealing that he uses an inversion table to stretch his full body. In the clip, Van Dyke can be seen laying upside down on the table before he adjusts his arms behind his head in a situp-style position.

“Keep moving,” he urged his followers.

Van Dyke celebrated his 100th birthday in December 2025 but has shown absolutely no signs of slowing down. The legendary actor even shared his approach to exercise in his 2025 book 100 Rules for Living to 100: An Optimist’s Guide to a Happy Life.

Explaining that he’s not a “wake up and go back to bed type,” Van Dyke noted that he can feel “stiffness creeping in here and there in my joints” if he misses too many days in the gym. However, the star admitted he sometimes has to “dangle” a reward for himself on days where he’s feeling “sluggish and reluctant.”

“[A] huge smoothie and/or frothy caffeine treat after my workout, full-body tingly exhilaration, sharper mind, sense of accomplishment to bask in for the rest of the day nap time [that is] well-earned, limber dancing in the days ahead,” he wrote.

Aside from his inversion table workout, Van Dyke mentioned that he frequently uses a “circuit” of exercise machines.

“Going from one machine to the next without a break, in a circle,” Van Dyke explained. “I start with sit-ups on the sit-up machine.”

If you’re 5’8″ or taller, finding one-piece swimwear that’s actually long enough can feel like a Goldilocks problem. The torso is too short, the straps dig in or the leg openings land somewhere they definitely shouldn’t. The good news? Long-torso swimsuits are designed to solve exactly those fit issues, giving taller frames more room without sacrificing a flattering silhouette.

As someone who has been scouring the internet for tall-friendly finds her whole life, I’m here to save you some time. These picks run the gamut from affordable, figure-flattering options to polished suits that feel worthy of a resort getaway. Shop picks from Amazon, Carve, Summersalt and more, starting at $30.

9 Long-Torso Swimsuits That Fit Tall Girls Just Right

1. My Favorite: This Amazon option is a strong pick if you want a suit that works with a longer frame without giving up a defined, feminine shape. “The sizing was great when I chose to size up for my long torso,” one ‘tall mom‘ shopper pointed out.

2. Runner-Up: The twist-front V-neck gives this bestseller a surprisingly polished look, while the long-torso cut provides extra room where taller shoppers need it most. Adjustable straps, removable padding, tummy-control construction and full coverage make it an especially practical choice for all-day pool or beach wear.

3. Editor-Approved: This is the kind of budget-friendly swimsuit that looks much more expensive than it is, thanks to its retro-inspired silhouette and strategic ruching. The long torso and adjustable straps are also designed to make the fit more forgiving, while the shirred front helps smooth and define your shape.

4. Designer-Looking: This all-day one-piece has the clean, elevated look you want when you’d rather look chic than overly sporty. Carve Designs specifically includes this one-piece among its long-torso offerings, making it a stylish answer to the too-short-in-the-body problem.

5. Everyday Essential: This strappy one-piece is the easy, wear-anywhere option for days when you want coverage, comfort and a flattering shape without the fuss. It comes in a range of colors, so you can find a version that feels classic rather than overly technical. Plus, the long-torso style delivers an extra 1.75-inches to prevent digging straps, stretched-out necklines and bottoms that ride up.

Finding pants that are equal parts comfortable and flattering can feel nearly impossible. Too often, relaxed silhouettes add bulk instead of creating the long, lean look we’re after, but the right pair of wide-leg pants does the exact opposite, elongating your legs while keeping you cool and comfortable. Luckily, I’ve scoured through the hundreds of […]

6. Sporty Spice: This plunging V-neck one-piece brings a little more personality to the long-torso category with a crisscross back that feels sporty without looking like lap-swim gear. Just note that fit can be especially individual with this style; reviews include both praise for its coverage, while some taller shoppers report that the proportions didn’t work for them, so check the measurements before ordering.

7. Worth the Splurge: Summersalt is the splurge-worthy pick for anyone tired of compromising on fit. The brand adds extra length specifically for longer torsos, while the signature asymmetrical design gives the classic one-piece a distinctly fashion-forward finish.

8. Wrap It Up: A wrap-inspired front is one of the easiest ways to make a one-piece feel instantly more flattering, and this version is specifically cut for a longer torso. It’s a particularly good option if you want extra length through the body while still creating some definition at the waist.

9. Subtle Cutout: If your ideal swimsuit is covered-up but never boring, this one hits the sweet spot with a small cutout above the belly button and extra length through the torso. It also has adjustable straps, sewn-in soft cups and fuller bottom coverage, so the flirtier detail doesn’t come at the expense of practicality.

Caroline Manzo Says She’s ‘A Heart Attack Waiting to Happen’

Published

on

Everything to Know About RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah's Legal Drama

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo is revealing a dire warning she recently received from her doctors during a physical exam.

“In my arrogance, I work out every day. I look great. I feel great. I’m doing everything right,” Manzo, 65, shared with her Instagram followers on Friday, August 28. “I eat super clean. I drink water. I don’t drink [alcohol except] socially … [and yet] I am a heart attack waiting to happen.”

Per Caroline, the shocking medical warning came about after her daughter, Lauren Manzo, urged her to get a “complete blood panel.”

“I had been resistant to it. As you know, I’ve been working out. I’m doing everything right. I’m eating right. I’m doing everything you’re supposed to do,” she recalled. “Finally, I said alright … It’s all about women’s health and wellness. About six weeks ago, I did a complete blood panel where they send it away and test for everything. I went to Labcorp and I got more work. They took seven or eight vials of blood. Got more bloodwork done.”

The extensive blood workup revealed that Caroline has a “fatty liver,” which occurs when “too much fat builds up in the liver,” per the Mayo Clinic. The Bravo personality also learned that she has “very little Vitamin B in [her] body” and is Vitamin D deficient.

“My toxin level is at 93 or 98%, a critical level,” she added. “This is from somebody, who in her arrogance, says, ‘I don’t need this. I’m great!’ No! They said to me, ‘You are doing everything right. It’s your genetics.’”

Manzo pledged that she is now in “beast mode” as she takes important steps to improve her health.

“I cannot believe that, for somebody who thought she was doing everything right, has so much going on in her body that I did not know about. Now, I have to fix all this, I have to combat it,” she acknowledged. “I want to share with you guys going forward. You think you’re great and you may not be.”

She encouraged her followers, “You need to get yourselves checked!”

The Manzo’d with Children alum promised there will be “more to come” as she undertakes a significant wellness regimen. Her Instagram video was met with many supportive messages from followers.

“Caroline I’m so glad you listened to your daughter,” Bravo superfan Kristin Chenoweth commented. “We all think if we ‘feel’ good we ARE good. I’m glad you now know the issues and can deal with them. Thank the Good Lord!”

Another fan wrote, “I love and appreciate your humility and vulnerability, especially now more than ever!”

In 2019, Manzo opened up about making lifestyle changes on her son Albie Manzo‘s “Dear Albie” podcast, explaining that she wanted to get in better shape prior to having cosmetic surgery to tighten loose neck skin.

“I just decided that I am going to stop eating bread and pasta and meat and soda and cake and all that kind of stuff,” she said at the time. “I’m basically vegetarian. Not completely, but basically. … And since the beginning of January, I’ve lost nearly 20 pounds.”

“I think it’s on,” he spoke into the camera in Instagram footage. “Annie? It looks ‘on’ to me, don’t you think?”

“Hey,” she waved to the camera with a laugh. “What should we do?”

After Cruise noted that the two actors should “show ‘em,” they strolled over to the neon car.

“Now what?” he asked, to which Hathaway proclaimed that they should “make the movie.”

“I’m gonna have this baby, and then we’re gonna make this movie,” she quipped, referring to her pregnancy with her and husband Adam Shulman’s third child.

This year has already delivered some incredible films — but no season does a blockbuster quite like summer. From Tom Cruise’s latest — and potentially final — addition to the Mission: Impossible franchise to Celine’s Song’s highly anticipated romantic comedy Materialists, all genres are ripe for the picking for theatergoers as temperatures continue to rise. Cruise initially played Cole in director Tony Scott’s 1990 hit Days of Thunder, following a rookie NASCAR driver’s rivalry with veteran racer Rowdy Burns (Michael Rooker). After Cole and Rowdy get seriously injured in a race, they soon become fast friends. The film also starred Cary Elwes and Nicole Kidman, who began dating Cruise after portraying an onscreen couple. Cruise and Kidman, 59, got married later that year before divorcing in 2001.

“I was 22, 23 years old and I had this huge movie star husband, but it just seemed completely natural,” Kidman told British Vogue in a profile published earlier this month. “We just fell madly in love and it was that simple. I remember people saying to me, ‘OK, well this is really going to affect your career.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t care. I’m in love. I want to be married.’”

It’s not yet known whether Kidman or any other OG Days of Thunder stars will return for the sequel.

Julie Chen Moonves on Big Brother Season 1 Advice She Needed

Published

on

GettyImages-2214038514JulieChenMoonvesexclusive.jpg

Big Brother’s Julie Chen Moonves isn’t afraid to admit that she could have used some advice before hosting the reality TV show’s inaugural season.

“I would say don’t let those words come out of my mouth unless it’s something I would say,” Julie, 56, exclusively told Us on Thursday, August 27, in celebration of Big Brother’s 1,000 episode. “I was just so eager to, like, do a good job that [my] phrasing didn’t feel right. But you know, I didn’t argue back enough to say, ‘Let’s change the script.’ I mean, I was barely 30 years old.”

She added, “I was just like, ‘Okay, let’s say this.’ And I’m like, ‘I would never say that. I don’t think it sounds good. But maybe, what do I know? I’m just a person from the news.’”

Julie, a former news anchor and producer for CBS who took on the reality TV hosting gig in 2000, said she eventually found her footing and voice in the entertainment space — so if she could she’d go back and tell herself to simply listen to her gut.

“I would tell Julie Chen, season 1, ‘Don’t let them make you say it if it’s something you wouldn’t say or if it doesn’t feel right,’” she added.

Now that Chen has 1,000 episodes of Big Brother — and two Guinness World Records — under her proverbial belt, she told Us she’s simply “take one day at a time” after making television history.

“Most of all, I feel humble and grateful because I never would have dreamt it,” she continued, before dishing on what can still surprise her inside the drama-filled house all those seasons and episodes later.

“I am still surprised every day at the level of trust,” she revealed to Us. “You know, it’s like you’ve all watched. You should be a little bit more paranoid, but every season — I guess it’s kind of beautiful, because it shows that humans want to trust and believe other humans.”

As she reflected on her time hosting the series, Julie admitted she has some favorite players she would love to see return to the house.

Julie Chen Moonves is dropping some major hints about what — or who — season 28’s “time travel” twist will bring to the Big Brother house. “That could go forwards or backwards, and that will play into some of the competitions. Does that mean we’re going to bring back some competition you haven’t seen since […]

“I have a soft spot for Chilltown,” she said of the iconic alliance between Dr. Will Kirby, Mike “Boogie” Malin and Shannon Dragoo during Big Brother season 2. “So if, like, Mike Boogie or Dr. Little Kirby want to play again — but it has to be a package deal, and they have to deliver us this classic Chilltown.”

As for who is impressing the host with their gameplay today, Julie said she’s certainly paying attention to how Taylor Brown is handling the house this season.

“Taylor, because she gets it,” Julie explained. “She’s a thinker, and she knows when to stay quiet. She knows when to give Lala [LaTrice Verrett] advice, and she just is entertaining me like there’s no tomorrow. She so gets this game.”

Reading Rainbow host Mychal Threets is sharing another health update after his recent hospitalization amid mental health issues.

“I was diagnosed as autistic and having ADHS on April 11, 2026. Recently, I was diagnosed with OCD and am Bipolar. WOW. I am proud to be neurodivergent. But it is not easy,” the TikTok famous librarian, 36, wrote via Threads on Friday, August 38, alongside a video of the influencer further explaining his mental health diagnoses.

“Thoughts are spiraling. My brain has not been kind with lack of sleep, nightmares, terrifying memory loss, not knowing what’s real, overwhelm, depression,” he continued in the post’s caption. “But my brain has not given up on me. Hope and joy are present amongst all of my mentionable and manageable feelings. Life is life, but please believe, you’re not alone.”

Threets recently celebrated a mental health milestone after revealing he had voluntarily checked himself into a hospital and was subsequently put on five-day psychiatric hold.
