Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols in Silo Season 3, Episode 2.Image via Apple TV
2026 has been a benchmark year for Rebecca Ferguson so far, though it started with one of the bigger flops of her career. Ferguson teamed up with Chris Pratt for the AI sci-fi thriller, Mercy, which struggled at the box office under the weight of its $60 million budget. The film went on to become one of the biggest streaming hits of the year on Prime Video. Ferguson will return to one of her most famous roles later this year, when she stars as Lady Jessica in Dune: Part Three, which is expected to become one of the biggest sci-fi movies of all time. Ferguson recently confirmed that she would only have one scene in the film, though, which will be a major adjustment to fans who have become accustomed to her being a key figure in the first two movies.
Ferguson let this Dune: Part Three detail slip while she was on the press tour for her Apple TV sci-fi phenomenon, Silo, which just returned a few weeks ago for its third season. Not only is Silo streaming on Apple TV, but the first season of the show is also available to watch on Prime Video, providing a perfect opportunity for those who want to test a few episodes and see if it’s worth investing in an Apple TV subscription. Unfortunately, Prime Video recently announced that this won’t be the case for much longer, as Silo Season 1 is officially departing the platform in less than two weeks. The last day to watch the first season of Silo on Prime Video will be on Thursday, August 13.

01
You sense something is deeply wrong with the world around you. What do you do? The first instinct is often the truest one.

02
In a world of scarcity, what resource do you guard most fiercely? What we protect reveals what we believe survival actually requires.

03
What kind of threat keeps you up at night? Fear is useful data — if you’re honest about what you’re actually afraid of.

04
How do you deal with authority you don’t trust? Every dystopia has a power structure. Your approach to it determines everything.

05
Which environment could you actually endure long-term? Survival isn’t just tactical — it’s physical, psychological, and very much about where you are.

06
Who do you want in your corner when things fall apart? The company you keep is the clearest signal of who you actually are.

07
Where do you draw the line — if you draw one at all? Every survivor eventually faces a moment that tests what they’re actually made of.

08
What would actually make survival worth it? Staying alive is one thing. Having a reason to is another.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated You’d Survive In…
Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion
The Matrix
You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.
You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.
The Wasteland
Mad Max
The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.
You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.
Los Angeles, 2049
Blade Runner
You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.
You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.
Arrakis
Dune
Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.
Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.
A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Star Wars
The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

Is ‘Silo’ Season 3 Worth Watching?
Silo Season 3 has been a hit with critics so far, earning a flawless 100% rating on the aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. However, the audience-driven Popcornmeter tells a different story. Silo Season 3 currently sits at a Rotten 59% rating from fans, which is lower than both the 70% held by Season 1 and the 67% held by Season 2. Fans have been critical of Juliette’s memory loss in Season 3, which is causing her to forget key elements of the series, the very same elements that fans resonated so strongly with in the first two seasons. Critics agree that this is a vital part of her journey, but only time will tell if the two parts of the audience will meet in the middle by the end of the season.
Check out the first season of Silo on Prime Video before it’s removed soon, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the show.

Dave Bautista may soon be stepping into one of gaming’s most iconic roles.
According to both Deadline and Variety, Bautista is currently in talks to play Kratos in Amazon Prime Video’s live-action God of War series following the departure of Ryan Hurst, who exited the project after suffering a torn bicep while filming. The injury reportedly would have delayed production until 2027, leading Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television to recast the role so filming can resume this fall.
While no deal has been finalized, Bautista has emerged as the leading choice to portray the Ghost of Sparta.
The casting would reunite Bautista with Amazon MGM Studios, where he has already starred in The Wrecking Crew, My Spy, and My Spy: The Eternal City. He is also set to appear in Road House 2 and Amazon’s upcoming remake of Highlander.

Amazon’s adaptation of God of War has already received a two-season order and will adapt the Norse-era games, following Kratos and his son, Atreus, as they journey across the Nine Realms to fulfill the final wish of Kratos’ late wife, Faye. The series is being developed by showrunner Ronald D. Moore, with Frederick E.O. Toye directing the first two episodes.
Bautista has long been one of the most popular actors suggested for the role by fans thanks to his imposing physical presence and dramatic acting career. If negotiations are successful, he’ll officially take over one of the most demanding roles in video game adaptations.
For now, Amazon has not publicly commented on the reported negotiations, and Bautista’s casting has yet to be officially confirmed.
The latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, delivered the second-biggest global box office debut in history. The movie was initially expected to gross under $600 million in its worldwide opening, but these projections picked up in the days leading up to its release. The final figure came to around $930 million, second in the all-time rankings behind fellow MCU blockbuster Avengers: Endgame, which opened with $1.2 billion worldwide in 2019. With this massive haul, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already beaten the lifetime gross of Tom Holland‘s debut adventure as the friendly neighborhood superhero, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Needless to say, several blockbuster superhero movies, including rival DC titles, were steamrolled by Spider-Man: Brand New Day this past weekend.
Also featuring Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink, Spider-Man: Brand New Day grossed $355 million domestically in its first weekend, falling marginally short of Avengers: Endgame‘s opening-weekend record of $357 million. That movie, directed by the Russo Brothers, also featured Holland’s Spider-Man in a prominent supporting role. It ended up grossing more than $2.7 billion worldwide, and for a while, was the highest-grossing hit in global box office history. It paved the way for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed $1.9 billion worldwide in 2021 without a China release, and brought Holland and director Jon Watts‘ trilogy of Spidey movies to a resounding end. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is being presented as the start of a new trilogy.

Here’s How Much ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Has Grossed at the Box Office
Produced on a reported budget of $225 million, the movie opened to excellent reviews. It now holds a “Certified Fresh” 90% critics’ score and a “Verified Hot” 98% audience score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Spinning a web of spectacular set pieces together with mature emotional stakes and Tom Holland’s soulful performance, Brand New Day is a promising reset that portends Spidey will remain sticky on the big screen for years to come.”
Kevin Costner is making headlines again after a surprising on-set story involving a Hollywood legend resurfaced.
Long before becoming the face of “Yellowstone,” the actor reportedly found himself being put in his place after displaying what was described as a “big ego” while working alongside one of the industry’s most respected icons.
For Kevin Costner, the road to stardom began in the late 1980s with hit films such as “The Untouchables,” “Bull Durham,” and “Field of Dreams,” before reaching a new generation of viewers as John Dutton on “Yellowstone” when the series premiered in 2018.
Costner was reportedly riding one of the biggest highs of his career when an unexpected on-set moment reminded him that even Hollywood’s hottest stars could be humbled. Fresh off his Oscar triumph for “Dances With Wolves,” the actor was said to have developed a confidence that caught the attention of one legendary co-star.
Years later, Scott Eastwood recalled that his father, Clint Eastwood, wasn’t impressed by what he described as Costner’s growing ego while they filmed the 1993 thriller “A Perfect World.” According to Scott, the tension had nothing to do with cameras rolling and everything to do with what happened before they ever stepped onto the set.
Instead of confronting Costner directly, Clint allegedly made one quiet decision that instantly changed the atmosphere on set and, according to Scott, ensured the message was received loud and clear.
The Trailer Standoff That Ended With An Unexpected Twist
Scott claimed the trouble started when Costner allegedly refused to leave his trailer while the cast and crew were waiting to begin filming. Knowing his father’s strict approach to filmmaking, he said there was little chance the delay would be tolerated.
Rather than waiting around, Clint reportedly instructed the crew to send Costner home and rewrote the day’s scene without him, according to The Daily Mail. Scott recalled that when the actor questioned the decision, he was informed that he was no longer needed for the scene.
The lesson, Scott suggested, landed immediately. By the following day, Costner was reportedly back on set, ready to work, in what has since become one of the more memorable behind-the-scenes stories from the Oscar winner’s early rise to superstardom.

Kevin Costner Reflected On The Faith That Started His Acting Journey
Long before he became one of Hollywood’s biggest leading men, Costner credited his childhood faith with introducing him to performing. While promoting his ABC special, “Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas,” the actor revealed that his earliest experience in front of an audience came through his church rather than a movie set.
Costner explained that he grew up attending church and made his “first performance” at just four years old during a Christmas nativity play, where he delivered a single line: “Hark.”
Reflecting on the experience, he said those early moments helped shape his appreciation for storytelling, adding that revisiting the story of Christ’s birth gave him a deeper perspective on both faith and performance. The Blast reported how the actor traced his passion for acting back to those formative church experiences.
Years later, that fascination with storytelling evolved into one of Hollywood’s most enduring careers, with Costner starring in films like “The Untouchables,” “Field of Dreams,” and “Dances With Wolves” before introducing himself to a new generation as John Dutton in “Yellowstone.”
The Oscar winner has been one of Hollywood’s most familiar faces, but recent reports have indicated the career that made him a box office dynamo is up for a new fight. The actor, who had a reign over the industry in those days, is now allegedly trying to take the momentum back.
As reported by The Blast, insiders claimed the actor’s career had entered what they described as a “polite decline mode.” They alleged that studios had become more cautious following the highly publicized “Yellowstone” exit, the disappointing performance of the “Horizon” films, and a string of legal disputes.
The report also claimed the veteran actor viewed 2026 as a potential “redemption year.” Despite the speculation, the veteran star has reportedly remained focused on landing new projects and rebuilding momentum.
Kevin Costner Still Feels The Impact Of His Painful Divorce
While Costner has reportedly found happiness with Kelly Noonan Gores, sources claim the Oscar winner is in no hurry to rush into another marriage. Instead, the relationship has remained intentionally low-key, with the pair reportedly enjoying quiet dinners, beach walks, and time together away from Hollywood’s spotlight.
The actor has remained cautious since describing his divorce as “a crushing moment.” An earlier report by The Blast noted that Costner admitted the split left him deeply shaken, even as he emphasized that his children gave him the strength to keep moving forward.
Reports have also suggested the veteran star was hurt by Baumgartner’s marriage to former family financier Josh Connor, even as those close to him insist he is trying to move forward.
Although the last few years have brought professional setbacks, public scrutiny, and personal heartbreak, Costner continues to look ahead with a new relationship and hopes for a fresh chapter.

After everything the Hollywood veteran has endured, could Kevin Costner finally be on the path to the comeback both on and off the screen that many believe is still within reach?
Prime Video doesn’t have quite as many originals as other streamers, focusing heavily on its library of shows and movies from linear networks, including the classics. But the streamer does have an impressive line of originals, and action shows are arguably where Prime Video excels. You’ll find some of the best action shows of the last few years available to stream there, all but one with multiple seasons under their belts, some with more to come.
From compelling detective protagonists with special skills, to villainous superheroes, undead ghouls, and even more recently, a pair of women on the run, Prime Video has an eclectic mix of shows that, upon further inspection, are downright masterpieces.

‘Cross’ (2024–Present)
Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross and Alona Tal as Kayla Craig walking with flashlights and their guns out in CrossImage via Prime Video
While you might know of Alex Cross from Morgan Freeman‘s portrayal of the James Patterson character in movies, maybe even Tyler Perry, Aldis Hodge and this series’ interpretation is arguably the best. Hodge captures the essence and look of the character in Cross, a talented detective and forensic psychologist whose reputation precedes him.
Both seasons so far of the crime thriller are heavy on the action as Cross chases down serial killers; the plots are split between the mental game he plays with them and a physical chase. The stories are compelling, with Season 2 upping the ante by introducing moral ambiguity to the plot thanks to a somewhat sympathetic killer. You can’t look away and will find it tough not to binge each eight-episode season in a single sitting.

‘The Boys’ (2019–2026)
Queen Maeve and Homelander facing each other in ‘The Boys’Image via Prime Video
Equal parts action, comedy, political comedy, satire, gore, and profanity, The Boys really does throw in everything but the kitchen sink. The satirical superhero series depicts people with special abilities called Supes. They should be heroes, but most of them are spineless, arrogant, narcissistic people who have let power get to their heads. Mortal human Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) has a bone to pick with their leader Homelander (Antony Starr). So, he forms a group of people to take him down and put an end to all Supes. But it won’t be easy considering the tremendous physical and mental power they possess.
The Boys is a superhero show that’s definitely not for kids. It’s stomach-turning at times, with foul language and graphically violent scenes making up the majority of every episode. But beneath the surface, it’s also a parody of real-life politics. That reality becomes more and more obvious as the seasons progress. Having come to an end with its fifth and final season this year, The Boys is a show you will either love or hate: there’s no in-between.
‘Gen V’ (2023–2025)
Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau with her right arm and hand stretched out in front of her in Gen V Season 2.Image via Prime Video
A spin-off of The Boys that exists in the same universe and at the same time, fans were devastated when Gen V was prematurely cancelled after two seasons. That’s especially with so much potential to continue the story following the ending of The Boys. Nonetheless, the two seasons, which tell a story intertwined with the last few seasons of The Boys, are worth watching.
Set in a school for young adult superheroes where they hone their unique skills, a group discovers a dark secret lurking in the basement. Horrified by what they learn, realizing the school isn’t what it seems, they fight back. Just as gory, profane, and graphic as The Boys, Gen V adds a coming-of-age spin to it with less refined, more naïve Supes who are learning to harness their powers while also discovering who they are outside of them.

‘Reacher’ (2022–Present)
Jack Reacher crouches by a gravestone in a suit, scanning the area during a tense scene at a funeral in ReacherImage via Prime Video
Alan Ritchson captures the look and wooden persona of the title character from the Lee Child novel series to a tee. Reacher centers around his character, a highly intelligent, physically strong, and combat-skilled former military officer who now roams the U.S. as a hobo. When he gets caught up in a case in a small town, and discovers his estranged brother has been murdered, Reacher goes on the warpath.
All it takes is 10 minutes to know that Reacher will be a masterpiece. It has a procedural feel with intense action and exciting fight scenes. The character is almost cartoonish, the show even corny at times. But that’s precisely what makes it such a guilty pleasure watch and has drawn viewers to the show in droves. Reacher returns for its fourth season in August 2026 and has already been renewed for a fifth. The show is so good, there’s even a spin-off called Neagleycoming in September 2026, based on Reacher’s trusted ally of the same name, played by Maria Sten.

It’s the final moment. Everything is on the line. What do you need from your partner right now? The last question is the most honest one.
Your Partner Has Been Assigned Your Perfect Partner Is…
Your answers have pointed to one action hero above all others. This is the person built to have your back — for better or considerably, spectacularly worse.
Rambo
Advertisement
Your partner doesn’t talk much, doesn’t need to, and will have assessed every threat in your immediate environment before you’ve finished your first sentence. John Rambo is not a man of plans or politics — he is a force of nature shaped by survival, loyalty, and a capacity for endurance that goes beyond anything training can produce. He will not leave you behind. He has never left anyone behind who deserved to come home. What you get with Rambo is the most capable, most quietly ferocious partner imaginable — one who has been through things that would have broken anyone else, and who chose to keep going anyway. You’ll never need to ask if he has your back. You’ll just know.
James Bond
Your partner will arrive perfectly dressed, perfectly briefed, and with a cover story so convincing it’ll take you a moment to remember what’s actually true. James Bond is the most professionally dangerous person in any room he enters — and the most disarmingly charming, which is the point. He operates in a world of layers, where nothing is what it appears and every advantage is used without apology. You’ll never be bored. You’ll occasionally be furious. But when it matters — when the mission is genuinely on the line and the margin for error has collapsed to nothing — Bond is exactly the partner you want. He has survived things that have no business being survivable. He does it with style. That is not nothing.
Indiana Jones
Your partner will know the history, the language, the cultural context, and exactly why the thing everyone else is ignoring is actually the most important thing in the room. Indiana Jones is brilliant, reckless, and occasionally impossible — but he is also one of the most resourceful, most genuinely knowledgeable partners you could find yourself beside. He approaches every situation with a scholar’s eye and a brawler’s instinct, which is an unusual combination and a remarkably effective one. He hates snakes and gets personally attached to objects of historical significance, both of which will slow you down at least once. It doesn’t matter. What Indy brings is irreplaceable — and the adventures you’ll have together will be the kind people write books about. Assuming you survive them.
John McClane
Your partner was not supposed to be here. He does not have the right equipment, the right information, or anything approaching the right odds. He has a sarcastic remark and an absolute refusal to accept that the situation is as bad as it looks. John McClane is the greatest accidental hero in the history of action cinema — a man whose superpower is stubbornness, whose contingency plan is improvisation, and whose capacity to absorb punishment and keep moving would be alarming if it weren’t so useful. He will complain the entire time. He will make it significantly more chaotic than it needed to be. And he will absolutely, unconditionally, without question come through when it counts. Yippee-ki-yay.
Ethan Hunt
Advertisement
Your partner has already run seventeen scenarios by the time you’ve finished reading the briefing, and the plan he’s settled on involves at least two things that should be physically impossible. Ethan Hunt operates at the absolute edge of human capability — technically, physically, and intellectually — and he brings the same relentless precision to protecting his partners that he brings to dismantling organisations that shouldn’t exist. He is not easy to know and he will never fully tell you everything. But he will carry the weight of the mission so completely, so absolutely, that your job is simply to trust him — and the remarkable thing is that trusting him always turns out to be the right call. The mission will be impossible. He will complete it anyway.

‘Fallout’ (2024–Present)
Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins look at each other while walking on a desert road in Fallout Season 2, Episode 4Image via Prime Video
Combining humor with intense violence in a compelling post-apocalyptic story, Fallout is arguably one of Prime Video’s best shows overall. Based on the popular role-playing video game franchise, the stories are brought to life on the small screen with incredible visuals showcasing both the elaborate underground bunkers where survivors reside and the dangerous wasteland above.
From creepy ghouls who roam the earth to humans in Power Armor fighting like massive robots, every character has their own backstory and mission. You’ll love the unlikely duo of the innocent and naïve Lucy (Ella Purnell) and the hardened and revenge-seeking bounty hunter The Ghoul (Walton Goggins). The story gets better and better as the narrative and settings in Fallout progress through its first two seasons. Gearing up for a third season that will see yet another location shift, Fallout will keep you invested as a thrilling post-apocalyptic show, even if you don’t know anything about the video games. Those who are familiar, however, will recognize how the scenes, settings, and characters are so true to the original story.
‘Ride or Die’ (2026)
Debbie (Octavia Spencer) and Judith (Hannah Waddingham) in ‘Ride or Die’Image via Prime Video
Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham are an unlikely pairing in this action-adventure comedy series that has become an instant hit for the streamer. Debbie (Spencer) is the wife of a politician in Ride or Die while Judith (Waddingham) is her best friend, who also happens to be an elite assassin. When they encounter a fierce enemy, the dynamic duo go on the run and hilarity and loads of action ensues.

Collider reviewer Meredith Loftus praises the chemistry between the two leads, appreciating the theme of friendship beneath the heavy action surface. While she admits that the series has too many subplots that detract from the core premise, she also calls it an “exhilarating ride with plenty of action thrills.” This show may just be this generation’s Thelma & Louise.
‘Jack Ryan’ (2018–2023)

Some might have questioned John Krasinski‘s ability to carry the weight of such a huge story with an action hero at the center. But it accomplishes this in spades in Jack Ryan, also known as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. He plays the character that has been portrayed by many actors in other projects, from Alec Baldwin to Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck. The CIA analyst works a boring desk job until he is thrust into the dangerous world of terrorist threats and political warfare.

Jack Ryan, one of Prime Video’s most known shows, streamed for four seasons and was followed up by the movie Jack Ryan: Ghost War. Every season sees Jack facing new dangers in a new setting, and the thrills are intensified each time. Earning high praise across the board for every season, Jack Ryan is a must-watch for action show fans who want a series that feels like a movie.
‘Invincible’ (2021–Present)
The voice cast of Invincible reads like a who’s who of top actors from this generation, as well as a repeat cast list of memorable actors from The Walking Dead. That’s because it’s created by Robert Kirkman, who created that series. Invincible serves up a superhero story in adult animated form that’s vulgar, graphically violent, and not the kind of show you want young kids to watch.
Based on the comic book series of the same name, the story in the most perfect action show centers around Omni-Man (J. K. Simmons), the most powerful superhero on Earth, and his son Mark (Steven Yeun), who is coming-of-age and trying to balance everyday teen challenges with his own powers and duties as the son of a well-respected superhero. It’s all about saving the world, fighting bad guys, and dealing with the emotional challenges of life as well as the physical sense of duty. You’ll love placing all the voices and seeing the massive list of guest characters along with the fantastic animation that feels at times like you’re not watching an animated show at all. Already renewed for a fifth and sixth season, Invincible will no doubt go down as one of the most influential adult animated shows of all time.

‘Spider-Noir’ (2026)
Spider-NoirImage via Prime Video
Commissioned as a joint production between Prime Video and MGM+. Spider-Noir stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a private investigator also known as The Spider. He used to be the only superhero in New York City in the 1930s, but he has long since hung up his suit. That is, until a case comes his way that he can’t help but investigate, and Reilly needs the help of his alter-ego The Spider to do it.
Marking Cage’s first lead TV role following his amazing film career, he hits all the right notes in the adventure superhero noir show. Uniquely, you can watch it in either black and white or color, each providing a different viewing experience. Collider reviewer Aidan Kelley calls Spider-Noir “fun” and “pulpy,” highlighting the performances from the talented supporting cast as well as Cage. If you want a delightful throwback superhero show, Spider-Noir does not disappoint through each of its eight episodes.

Ray J Missed Brandy’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony
The Shade Room reported in April that Brandy and Ray J were distant due to his public behavior. The artist’s estranged wife, Princess Love, accused him of pointing a gun at her last Thanksgiving during a livestream.
“There is distance right now,” she said at the time. “There are a few things that he’s been doing in the public eye that I don’t condone, and I just feel like loving him from afar right now is best for me and my peace. But my life with Ray and my connection with him is all throughout the book, and my love for him never wavers.”

Sid Wilson‘s journey with Slipknot is over, and reports suggest that it has been a ticking bomb!
The DJ and band keyboardist, who had been with the band for nearly three decades, was reportedly kicked out by his bandmates, who have maintained silence on the matter.
Sid Wilson’s professional world was flipped shortly after his personal life suffered a low blow. His engagement to Kelly Osbourne, daughter of the late legendary Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, was reportedly called off behind the scenes.

While the world went wide-eyed as whispers of Wilson’s departure from Slipknot flew left, right, and center, his bandmates were reportedly geared up for the decision.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter have shared that the decision came after the group had finally had enough of the keyboardist’s behavior.
They claim that the other members of the band were fed up with how he treated his bandmates, fueling their decision to kick him out of the heavy metal band ultimately. According to the insiders, Wilson’s firing was not an abrupt decision made in the heat of the moment.
Sources tell TMZ that Wilson getting kicked off the band was a long time coming, as his bandmates could no longer let the behavior he had been putting up slide. Wilson has been an OG since joining the band in 1999 and has been an active member of the music group.
The Band Wanted To Break The News On Their Own Terms
According to insiders familiar with the situation, Slipknot had plans to officially announce their longtime turntablist’s departure from the band this week. However, they lost control of the narrative after media outlets already broke the news, revealing that Wilson had been permanently kicked out.
The early reveal reportedly had the band shaking in their boots behind the scenes, and the members are frustrated that they could no longer announce the split on their own terms.

As it stands, Slipknot is yet to publicly address Wilson’s departure from the band even though his exit has been in the works for a long time.
The keyboard player has also maintained silence on the matter. He was spotted outside a Los Angeles recording studio on Sunday and declined to answer when asked point blank about the firing.
Wilson became one of Slipknot’s original 9 members after showing them how “crazy” he could be, which fit right in with the rest of the band. The DJ shared that prior to his not-so-conventional audition, he had been rehearsing with the band and developing ideas while actually waiting to see them perform live.
As shared by The Blast, the turntablist recalled that his bandmates-to-be at the time kept insisting that they were “crazy,” but that didn’t chase him off, as he was all for craziness. He shared that he wanted a chance to show them he could fit right in, and the opportunity presented itself.
During one of the band’s earliest shows, they performed a chaotic version of “Tattered and Torn,” and the percussionist, Shawn “Clown” Crahan, would rile up the crowd, shouting, “Kill me!” The DJ recalled seeing Crahan through his mask as he headed directly for him and immediately took the challenge, jumping over fans and headbutting him six times.

Pushing Wilson away before the seventh, Crahan crawled up to the band drummer, late Joey Jordison, and declared, “I don’t give a sh-t what anybody says, that guy’s in the band.”
Slipknot’s Guitarist Shared Cryptic Reaction To Sid Wilson’s Exit
After news of Wilson being kicked out of the nu-metal group made headlines, James ‘Jim’ Root addressed the news with a cryptic Instagram post on Friday, July 31. The guitarist did not outright refer to the ongoing drama in his post, but connecting the dots from his words to the headlines was no challenge.
As reported by PEOPLE, Root posted a statement to his Instagram stories with the band’s 2008 hit song “Til We Die” playing as the background music. “Don’t believe everything you read,” Root wrote. “Stop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for a while. Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there’s more information.”
At the time, it was unclear what led Slipknot to kick the DJ out of the group, and apart from Root’s cryptic address, the rest of the band’s current lineup, including singer Corey Taylor, guitarist Mick Thomson and Crahan, has yet to make any statements regarding Wilson’s departure from the group.
What Has Sid Wilson Been Up To?
Wilson’s exit from the music group comes after Craig Jones and Cris Fehn, who were also founding members of Slipknot, parted ways with the band. Since news of the turntablist’s firing made waves over the weekend, many questions have arisen, and most remain unanswered.
The DJ finally spoke out on social media, but only to promote his updated independent retail store, sidthe3rdshop.com. His post was a video announcing that his new merch store was open and inviting followers to shop the unique designs as shared by Chaozine. Wilson’s collection ranges from merch on T-shirts to hats, hoodies, and gas masks.
Regarding his personal life, there have also been reports of trouble in paradise after his engagement to Kelly was quietly called off earlier this year. Sources claimed that the pair, who share a three-year-old son, faced a strain in their relationship shortly after Ozzy’s death.
Kelly also raised eyebrows after reposting a common phrase for support groups for “victims of narcissistic abuse” on Instagram. “No one will smear your name more viciously than the person terrified you’ll expose the truth about them,” Kelly’s repost read.
How soon till Slipknot sheds light on Sid Wilson’s firing?
