Rebecca Ferguson’s New $52.7M Sci-Fi Movie Just Quietly Landed on Prime Video

Published

on

Rebecca Ferguson and Chris Pratt both have their share of starring in massive action franchises. For Ferguson, much of her blockbuster experience has come from starring opposite Tom Cruise in the Mission: Impossible movies, and for Pratt, he has headlined the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World movies, which have helped him become one of the highest-grossing stars in the world. Ferguson has also garnered acclaim for her performance in Silo, which has aired two seasons on Apple TV with two more on the way. Pratt doesn’t have any big franchise plans that have been announced, but he is due to make his Apple TV debut later this year with Way of the Warrior Kid, another military thriller that co-stars Linda Cardellini.

Earlier this year, Pratt and Ferguson teamed up for the new sci-fi thriller, Mercy. The film is set in a dystopian future, and it follows a detective (Pratt) who is accused of killing his wife. In this alternate future, those accused of crimes like murder have 90 minutes to prove their innocence to an AI judge, who is played by Rebecca Ferguson. Mercy earned a poor 24% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes but an 83% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter, and the film has grossed only $53 million at the box office against a $60 million budget. Without really announcing it, Amazon MGM has quietly dropped Mercy on VOD platforms like Prime Video. The film is now available to rent for $19.99 or purchase for $24.99. Look for it to find success on VOD charts in the coming days as fans discover it’s available to watch at home.

What’s Streaming on Prime Video Right Now?

The most popular VOD purchase on Prime Video right now is The Housemaid, the new erotic thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried alongside 1923 veteran Brandon Sklenar. Timothée Chalamet’s Oscar-hopeful ping pong biopic, Marty Supreme, is also available to watch at home and is climbing VOD charts by the day. Despite a woeful underperformance at the box office, Gerard Butler’s newest movie, Greenland 2: Migration, is also finding success on VOD charts. The film co-stars Morena Baccarin. Russell Crowe’s long-awaited WWII movie, which hit theaters last November, Nuremberg, is also dominating VOD. Fans are eagerly awaiting streaming information about Russell Crowe’s Nuremberg.

Rent or purchase Mercy on VOD platforms like Prime Video now and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.

Days of our Lives: Sophia Plots to Destroy Johnny & Chanel’s Adoption Dreams?

Published

on

Days of Our Lives: Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) - Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) - Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens)

Days of Our Lives shows that Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) still can’t get over the fact that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) have her infant son, Trey, in their care and the adoption’s about to be finalized.

We’re wondering if crazy teen mom Sophia escapes from Bayview to take matters into her own hands or if she finds a way to pressure her lawyer, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), to make her do the dirty work?

Days of our Lives: Sophia Won’t Stop

Right now, Sophia seems dead set on getting her baby away from Johnny and Chanel. Now, Sophia still blames Johnny for his initial indecision about the adoption for ruining Sophia’s plans for college and now, she’s landed in the mental ward.

Sophia’s made it clear to both Melinda and her little gal pal, Rachel Black, that she doesn’t want little Trey legally adopted by Johnny and Chanel. She doesn’t want them fostering her son or involved in his life at all. Sophia’s super salty.

Days of our Lives: Melinda Tries to Talk Sense into Sophia

Meanwhile, Melinda tried to convince Sophia that she just needs to move on with her life, as hard as that may seem. And Melinda said that she believes the DiMera couple will take good care of their adopted son, Trey.

Plus, Sophia thinks that because Chanel is pregnant now, that Trey will be ignored, unwanted and possibly mistreated once the new baby comes into their lives. That’s because Trey’s not Johnny and Chanel’s biological child so she thinks he’ll get a raw deal.

Of course, Melinda tried talking sense into her. But instead of agreeing with her lawyer, Sophia threatened to contact the bar about how Melinda did unethical things for her. After Sophia’s threat, Melinda felt she had no other choice than to mail Sophia’s “gift” to Rachel.

That’s the bottle of psych meds disguised as skin health supplements. The tween is supposed to give them to Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) as a present, even though Rachel had her doubts. Needless to say, we can see that Sophia keeps spiraling and being her little conniving self.

She’s enjoying every minute of Holly’s downfall watching social media videos on her contraband cell phone. And Sophia blackmailed Rachel into delivering the gift by threatening to tell her dad, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), that she stole money from his wallet. So, Rachel’s stuck like Melinda is.

DOOL: Johnny and Chanel Plan Adoption Celebration

Recently, Chanel and Johnny were excitedly talking about the upcoming court visit with the judge to finalize Trey’s adoption. They’re also planning an intimate family celebration at the Brady Pub to celebrate.

And Johnny and Chanel are planning a larger party once Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) Grant move back to Salem with their twins, Jules and Carver. Plus, Chanel and Johnny want to make sure Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) is home safe before inviting more of Salem to celebrate the baby’s adoption.

If you recall, Sophia really wants Melinda to pull some strings to get Trey out of Johnny and Chanel’s care and put him into a different home before the adoption finalizes. Meanwhile, Sophia still doesn’t think she wants to be a mom to her child.

But at the same time, she doesn’t want Johnny and Chanel to have Trey which seems cruel because this is already his second family, after being fostered by the Hernandez family. So I wonder if Melinda follows through and finds a loophole or way to contest the adoption.

Because she knows Sophia’s manipulative and insane and Melinda doesn’t want to lose her law license and face possible criminal charges. But she may have to go back to Sophia and tell her that she tried but couldn’t find a way to stop it and once it’s legal, that’s it. Adoption finalized.

Days of Our Lives: Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) - Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) - Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) Days of Our Lives: Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) - Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) - Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens)
Days of Our Lives: Sophia Choi – Johnny DiMera – Chanel Dupree

Sophia May Take Matters into Her Own Hands on Days of our Lives

If Melinda fails or says she did, then Sophia may feel she has no other choice but to take care of matters herself. Remember, Melinda and Rachel are the only two people who know Sophia’s faking her catatonic state. And now, she’s blackmailing both of them.

But with Rachel and Melinda being hesitant about her requests, Sophia may have doubts about their loyalty, even though she could wreak havoc on their lives by giving crucial and harmful information on them to the right people on Days of our Lives.

We’ve known for a while that Sophia wants to break out of Bayview, and leave Salem for good to start a new life somewhere else. And we’ve seen her slip out of Bayview before, so why hasn’t she gone yet? Maybe it’s about needing money for a new life.

Or it could be because Sophia wants to make sure Trey’s not adopted by Johnny and Chanel before she goes. I’m also wondering if Sophia might get in touch with her baby daddy, Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) to ask for help.

He signed his parental rights away and gave Johnny and Chanel his blessing to raise his son. But Sophia might pressure Aaron to protest the adoption. I don’t think he’d agree to it and Sophia’s got nothing to use to blackmail Aaron into cooperating so that’s highly unlikely.

And we know Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly are going through their own drama, all thanks to Sophia’s sneaky psych drugs. So, I think she may decide if Melinda fails her, that Sophia will have to do this herself. And she may kidnap her son.

Could Sophia Kidnap or Sell Baby Trey on Days?

To be honest, Sophia’s so diabolical she may take Trey and try to sell him on the black market to get the money she needs to start her new life. Sophia says she wants the best for Trey, but Sophia has absolutely lost her mind and I don’t think she knows what’s best for her son.

Even her therapist, Dr. Gregory, has no idea what she’s capable of. And the shrink is clueless about Sophia faking her non-verbal state. With a big party coming soon after the adoption hearing, I could see Johnny and Chanel being horrified that their son goes missing.

Sophia could sneak out and use a busy party as a way to creep into the Pub and snatch the guest of honor at the adoption party and sneak out the back door. And yes, I know that would be the second kidnapping in a row, but it is Days…

General Hospital: Nathan Impostor Exposed – Major Red Flags Prove He’s a Fake!!

Published

on

General Hospital: Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)

General Hospital exposes that since Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) came back that he might not be himself and the red flags keep on coming—with another huge one this week while he was with his son James West (Gary James Fuller).

I want to talk about huge red flags that someone’s impersonating Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) resurrected husband.

General Hospital: Has Peter Taken Over Nathan?

Ok so, from the jump, Nathan hasn’t seemed like himself since the moment he resurrected. Plus, it seemed like he was running from someone because Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) found him after he crashed his car although she didn’t see his face.

Nathan came back in September 2025 and supposedly has got no memory of the last seven years. And it seemed like he had escaped from somewhere. Then the red flags began that suggest that might not really be him.

Let’s talk about some of these HUGE warning signs that it could be Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in a Nathan suit—or some form of Peter as a result of twisted science. Let’s talk about the warning signs. I’m going to try and do these in the order they happened.

Red Flag 1: Nathan Shows Zero Interest in What Happened to Him on General Hospital

First, there’s the fact that Lulu found Nathan crashed six months ago. He’s a detective, right? They look into crimes and solve things. They’re inquisitive. So, why has Nathan showed zero interest in figuring out what happened to him?

He wasn’t in a coma for 7 years obviously because he’s perfectly healthy, toned and fit, not someone who’s been bedridden for a long time.

Red Flag 2: Britt Seemed Afraid of Nathan

Second, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seemed afraid of Nathan when she first saw him at General Hospital. And Britt didn’t seem shocked that her brother Nathan was alive. And Britt freaked out about Nathan meeting James.

That’s really three red flags rolled into one. And that was the first inkling that Nathan might not be himself, despite the DNA test—which I’ll talk about in a minute.

Red Flag 3: Nathan Broke Chain of Custody at PCPD

A third red flag about Nathan is to do with the PCPD in one episode back in October and one in January. Back in October, he asked Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for his job back, and seemed confused by who Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was when her name came up. But I can let that one slide.

But then in January, Nathan broke chain of custody by letting a piece of evidence out of his sight. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) chewed him out while Nathan claimed it was a simple mistake caused by cobwebs. But if it’s not him and it’s Peter or someone else, they don’t know police procedure.

Red Flag 4: The Lulu vs Maxie Situation on GH

Another red flag is the Lulu vs Maxie situation. First, Nathan never once visited Maxie in Boston when she was in a coma. Then, Nathan got involved with her best friend Lulu, which was surprising. Now you may think if it’s Peter, he’d be chasing after Maxie.

Maybe, maybe not. Because it could be Peter trying to ruin Maxie’s life and relationships to isolate her. Plus, Peter played Lulu in the past by encouraging her to do an exposé on Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and his secret son Nathan. Back then, Dante and Maxie told her not to, but Lulu did it anyway.

Plus, tangential to that, after Lulu spilled about her and Nathan, we saw Maxie tell Lulu that Nathan seemed off but Maxie assumed it was because of Lulu. And this week, Maxie lays into Nathan demanding answers—she wants to know how could he just get over her in six months. Well, Maxie’s right because the real Nathan probably wouldn’t be over Maxie that fast.

Red Flag 5: Nathan Recited the Periodic Table

Then there was that slip Nathan had when he and Lulu were trapped in the café during the blizzard and Nathan shocked Lulu by reciting the periodic table of elements. Nathan said his father made him memorize them when he was a kid.

But he was raised by Dan Reeves, who’s Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological father, a wealthy businessman, not a scientist. Meanwhile, Faison was fixated on science and constantly challenged Peter to prove himself intellectually. That seemed like a big slip-up on General Hospital.

Red Flag 6: Nathan’s Not Hanging Out with Dante

Also, Nathan’s not really been hanging out with his best friend Dante at all. You would think Nathan would want to spend more time with Dante after 7 years apart but they haven’t really been chilling together.

And back to the Lulu issue, she seemed way more concerned about Maxie’s reaction to her seeing Nathan than he was about Dante’s reaction. And Lulu seemed more concerned about both their reactions than Nathan was which is strange.

General Hospital: Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) General Hospital: Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)
General Hospital: Nathan West

Red Flag 7: Nathan Can’t Hit a Baseball

The last and most recent red flag happened just this week when Nathan was at the batting cage with his son James. We saw Nathan encouraging James who mentioned that he knows Nathan was a power hitter at baseball back in the day.

Mind you, that baseball pitching machine is set on a low speed for James who’s a little kid. And Nathan had a horrible swing and miss—he looked so uncoordinated, like he’d never held a bat. I could see a 95 mph pitch getting past him—Nathan might be rusty.

If your kid played little league, you may know for a 7 year old, the auto pitch is about 30-40 mph. Not fast. So, Nathan should’ve gotten a piece of it. But Peter, meanwhile, didn’t play little league—he didn’t have that kind of childhood and may not know how to hit.

Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) mentioned muscle memory which is what Nathan should’ve had but he didn’t. In fact, Kai mentioned that Nathan wasn’t even gripping the bat correctly. I mean, come on. Huge obvious red flag.

How Could This Have Happened on General Hospital?

As to how this happened, first off, I do NOT think Nathan’s a clone. That’s insane even by soap opera standards. But there are 3 other ways that are plausible based on GH history. First, Peter could’ve had plastic surgery to look like Nathan.

But with the positive DNA match while he was unconscious, I doubt that. However, Peter might have a very realistic Nathan mask and after the DNA test, Peter could’ve swapped places with him and added some scrapes to his mask to match Nathan’s car crash injuries.

Third, they could’ve implanted Peter’s memories into Nathan and the creep really is dead. Also I saw some people on soap social media saying it can’t be Peter because Wes Ramsey is over on Days of Our Lives right now.

But here’s the thing, Days tapes nine months ahead of when the episodes air, so Wes was in and out at Days many months ago. But this could all play out with Ryan Paevey doing the role, especially if it’s a memory mapping twist.

HoodTrophy Bino Goes All Out For Chrisean Rock’s Birthday Surprise

Chrisean Rock’s birthday isn’t until March 14th, but HoodTrophy Bino made sure it started off right early. The rapper shared videos on his Instagram Story showing him surprising Rock with bouquets of flowers and balloons, and that wasn’t all. They were sitting inside a Maybach. Yes, y’all, Bino gifted Rock the whip filled with roses and balloons. Chrisean shared her reaction to the gesture on her own IG Story, posting a video showing her walking out of what looked like a hotel room and seeing Bino with all the gifts. In another post, she joked with fans, saying she only popped outside to grab her MacBook, “not a Maybach and some flowers.” She also gave her followers a closer look at Bino’s roses, including one set wrapped with a ribbon that read, “Happy Birthday Holy Hands.”

Bino’s Early Birthday Surprise For Rock Has The Internet Talking

The Shade Room’s comment section lit up after Bino flexed his birthday gifts for Rock. Some fans made it clear they weren’t feeling his lover-boy energy and told Rock not to get caught up, especially since she has her first fight coming up against Zenith Zion in April.

Are Rock & Bino Back Together?

As of right now, there’s no word on where Chrisean Rock and HoodTrophy Bino stand. Bino and Rock dated in August 2025 but seemingly ended things in October of that year. After their breakup, Bino popped up on several occasions looking real cozy with Masika Kalysha shortly after her husband Jamar Champ passed in October. Still, there’s no word on Masika and Bino’s status.

Even though Chrisean Rock and HoodTrophy Bino haven’t confirmed if they’re back together, fans are in their feels. Some question Bino’s intentions and feel he threw shade at Rock when he told TMZ he felt her son Chrisean Jr. wasn’t getting the proper care and needed to be with his dad.

“I said what I said, I can’t take back what I said. His daddy need to go get him, I wish the best for the baby.” Bino added, “I like him my damn self, he was a nice little boy. But he just needs the right support and love. I have an autistic son myself, I understand s**t so he just need the right love.”

Danica McKellar Shocks Fans With Placenta Story

Published

on

Danica McKellar

Danica McKellar surprised listeners this week after sharing a candid and unusual memory from the birth of her son.

During a podcast appearance, the actress recalled being encouraged to taste her placenta shortly after giving birth.

Her reaction and how much she actually liked it quickly sparked curiosity and debate among fans online.

Danica McKellar Recalls Unexpected Moment After Giving Birth

During an appearance on “The BobbyCast” on Tuesday, March 10, McKellar reflected on the day she welcomed her son, Draco, in September 2010.

The “Wonder Years” star, now 51, shares the 15-year-old with her ex-husband, composer Mike Verta.

While discussing the birth experience, McKellar revealed that her doula suggested she try something unexpected shortly after delivery.

“My doula said, do you want to taste the placenta? I’d just given birth,” she recalled, explaining that “you’re not in your right mind” after going through the birthing process. “And I’m like, sure.”

What happened next surprised even McKellar herself.

McKellar Says The Taste Reminded Her Of Steak

According to McKellar, the experience was far from what she expected. She described the taste in striking terms while speaking to host Bobby Bones.

McKellar said, “She gave me a piece of it. Bobby, it was like the best filet mignon that I have ever tasted. But more.”

The admission made her laugh at the memory, but the actress admitted she felt conflicted about how much she enjoyed it.

“I was embarrassed about how much I loved it,” she said. “It was bizarre. I thought, what is this, some sort of weird satanic…,” the actress added.

At that point, Bones jokingly interrupted her story with a question that many listeners were probably already thinking.

“Am I a cannibal?” he joked.

Despite the awkwardness of the moment, McKellar said the experience led her to a surprising realization.

“We are meant to have that,” she explained.

After the episode aired, Bobby Bones shared his thoughts about McKellar’s openness in the caption of an Instagram post highlighting the conversation.

“I appreciate the openness. The generosity of her stories. And the vulnerability from the whole episode. But especially here,” he wrote.

The revelation quickly caught the attention of fans online, and reactions poured into the comment section. Many listeners expressed strong opinions about the topic.

One person wrote, “Of course, this is a Satanic ritual. Good gracious every single one of them is part of the club and they tell you just like she did here.”

Another commenter strongly criticized the practice, writing, “It’s literally human tissue; that belongs to the BABYS GENOME, that is cannibalism. It’s grotesque. We are not animals we are humans, do your research and have some common sense.”

More Mixed Reactions Trail McKellar’s Revelation

Others, however, defended the idea and pointed to possible health benefits.

“Even if it’s perceived as gross, it’s full of minerals and nutrients. The hospital sells them for $50k if keeping it isn’t in your birth plan. It’s full of stem cells as well and can be beneficial to your child if they get sick in the future. Has nothing to do with cannibalism,” one fan commented.

Another supporter wrote, “Yes we are meant to eat our babies placenta, it helps us gain back all the nutrients we lost in childbirth.”

Still, some viewers remained uncomfortable with the idea.

“Most other mammals eat it, to hide the scent and for protein for milk production. I don’t know if I’d admit to that if I was her. Eww,” another commenter added.

Life With Son Draco After Danica McKellar Became A Mom

McKellar welcomed Draco in 2010 during her marriage to Verta. The couple married in March 2009 but later separated, with McKellar filing for divorce in June 2012.

At the time of Draco’s birth, the former couple released a statement to PEOPLE celebrating the new arrival.

“We are humbled, overjoyed and so grateful for this miraculous gift,” they said. “It’s like we’ve only now just learned the true meaning of love.”

Over the years, McKellar has continued documenting special moments with Draco as he grows up.

In May 2025, she shared a playful video featuring the two dancing together in a nod to her time competing on “Dancing with the Stars.”

“Couldn’t resist “jumping” on this one! This was SO much fun to put together,” she wrote in the caption. She also added a humorous parenting tip, telling followers, “Mom tip: Use your kids to stay young!”

Later that summer, McKellar posted photos from a vacation in Hawaii with her son, proudly noting how much he had grown.

Since then, she has frequently shared glimpses of her life as a mom with fans through social media.

Bold and the Beautiful: Electra Loses Control – Declares War After Will Breakup!

Published

on

Bold and the Beautiful: Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) - Will Spencer (Crew Morrow)

Bold and the Beautiful stuns as Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) appalled that Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) had a kiss from another woman and wouldn’t even listen to him say that was right after he saw Electra kiss another man. And things are getting so much messier soon.

We’re going to get into how Will and Electra may both be looking to get some payback on each other and I expect people at Forrester Creations to be taking sides.

Bold and the Beautiful: Will Comes Clean

So, Will told Electra the truth about the kiss with Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) but then she did NOT admit to the kiss with RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman). And in both cases, someone else kissed them—neither Will nor Electra asked for or really participated in the kisses.

But only Will’s telling the truth. Electra bailed on Will who was flabbergasted by Electra’s hypocrisy. Now, Will and Electra are at odds and it doesn’t look like their reunion is going to happen—at least not for a good while. Recently, we saw Electra ask Will if he and Dylan crossed the line and kissed.

Of course, they did and Electra was horrified and could not believe Will’s lips touched another woman’s, especially Dylan’s. But Will knows RJ and Electra kissed also. And Will called her out saying Electra made choices too.

But she acted like she didn’t understand what he meant and was appalled at Will suggesting she did anything at all wrong. That was very poor communication since he never told Electra what he saw.

So, it definitely seems like the writing is on the wall that Will’s likely going to end up dating Dylan—at least for a while. And Electra’s going to end up getting much closer to RJ. And based on what’s coming this week, I suspect a revenge war may be brewing.

Plus, Dylan and RJ might get attention from Will and Electra because those two may be looking for payback and to make the other person jealous. Of course, that’s not really fair to RJ or Dylan if they’re only being used for petty backlash.

Starting tomorrow, looks like Electra is the one who starts the revenge game. And Will probably claps back after the stunt Electra pulls. Will and Electra are both mad at each other for kissing other people and things may get ugly between Electra and Will and others at Forrester Creations.

And I suspect we’re going to see people at Forrester Creations divided on the situation and taking sides. Like right now, ex-Forrester designer, Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) is clearly on Dylan’s side and not Electra’s. Even though he was friendly with Electra, he just dropped some truth bombs.

Bold and the Beautiful: Deke and Steffy Take Dylan and Will’s Side

Deke told Dylan that Electra is different from them because she had everything handed to her. Meanwhile, Deke said he and Dylan had to work hard for everything. Plus, we know Deke has a soft spot for Dylan and feels for her because she was living in her car.

And Deke found Dylan eating out of the dumpster behind Il Giardino. So, of course, when Deke hears that Electra’s getting jealous over Dylan and ranting about her working at Forrester Creations, I’m sure Deke is going to defend Dylan.

Especially because Deke knows that Electra knew Dylan was living out of her car and going hungry—which is awful. Yet Electra still gave Will the ultimatum to kick Dylan out or lose her. So, Deke’s going to take Dylan’s side. And Will’s. Deke and Will see eye-to-eye.

And I also think we’re going to see Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on Dylan’s side and Will’s. Remember, Steffy told Will he shouldn’t quit even though he said leaving would make things easier on Electra. So, Steffy adores Dylan and thinks that Will’s a good guy.

Steffy just hired Dylan at Forrester Creations, and really wants her there. Plus, Steffy’s known Dylan for a while because she was Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s (Bryan Garlick) art teacher. Plus, Steffy feels terrible that Dylan got pulled into that whole Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) nightmare and held hostage at the beach house by Luna.

Dylan went through a whole lot of trauma because of Luna and Steffy feels responsible because Luna was after her. So, I don’t think Steffy is going to like how Electra comes at her this week in the CEO office after she finds out Steffy hired Dylan.

Electra Begs Steffy Not to Hire Dylan on B&B

Electra starts freaking out and tells Steffy that Dylan is not what’s best for Forrester Creations—not by a long shot. And she begs Steffy not to hire Dylan. Whatever issues Electra has with Dylan have nothing to do with her being a good fit for Forrester Creations on Bold and the Beautiful.

Electra’s a spoiled brat who’d literally prefer Dylan to be jobless and homeless instead of her feeling slightly uncomfortable. Plus, Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) cooked all this up. So, Steffy’s going to be Team Dylan and Will and she probably tells Electra don’t bring your personal drama to the workplace.

Meanwhile, Will’s telling Dylan not to worry because they’re going to figure everything out together. So, Will may hear that Electra’s trying to get Dylan fired. And Will might circle back to Steffy and say please let her keep the job.

Of course, RJ’s going to be 100% team Electra and he’ll jump at the chance to take her side, trash talk Will and Dylan hoping that RJ can get a date with her. There’s no doubting where his allegiance lies.

Bold and the Beautiful: Dylan May Expose Ivy’s Manipulation

And I think Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) may land somewhere in the middle. Although she feels really bad for Electra, she also knows that Ivy orchestrated a lot of her heartbreak. Daphne knows that Ivy manipulated the breakup, blowing something way out of proportion to split them.

I tend to think Daphne will be the one who’s team put Will and Electra back together. And I’m betting Daphne tells Steffy what Ivy did because I fully expect Steffy to refuse Electra’s demand that she not hire Dylan.

Then, Electra will run crying to Ivy who will probably go make a scene with Steffy since as we know Ivy not just Team Electra but she’s Team Take Down Will. And that’s when I think Daphne tells Steffy what she saw and the threats Ivy made.

And things may reach a boiling point where Steffy might fire Ivy and tell her to leave LA. Electra may agree once the ugly truth is out. But even so, a lot of damage has been done and it could be a while before Will and Electra reunite.

Taylor Frankie Paul Breaks Down Missing Bachelorette Flight

Published

on

After Taylor Frankie Paul missed her flight for The Bachelorette in the season 4 finale of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, there’s one question on everyone’s mind — why?

Warning: This post contains spoilers for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4.

“I was exhausted,” Taylor, 31, exclusively told Us Weekly in her first interview about The Bachelorette season 22 since wrapping production. “I was emotionally exhausted and I felt very drained and almost tested to my wit’s end of, like, can I do this? It was the night before, I was just like, ‘Can I do this? Am I capable?’ I feel like my battery [was] just at 10 percent.”

During season 4, which premiered on Thursday, March 12, costar Jessi Ngatikaura claimed Taylor slept with ex Dakota Mortensen the night before she was scheduled to head to the Bachelor Mansion. (Taylor and Dakota share son Ever, whom they welcomed in March 2024. She’s also mom to daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul.)

The first look at season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives teased Taylor Frankie Paul potentially getting pregnant before her stint on The Bachelorette. Hulu released the trailer on Wednesday, January 21, which shows Taylor, 31, upset with someone on the phone, saying, “I hate all of you because you all knew.” The […]

Jessi, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Layla Taylor — and even Taylor’s mom and sister — awaited her arrival at the airport. It didn’t take long for the group, however, to realize the reality TV star wasn’t coming. MomTok then headed to Taylor’s house to convince her to get on the plane despite feeling “sick.” After she initially refused, Taylor ultimately boarded the aircraft.

“It took everything in me to get up and go, because I knew it was going to be the best thing for me,” Taylor explained to Us. “Yes, the goal is to find someone, but what I do know is I want out of this toxicity that I’m in right now. So I knew that I needed to go, but it took everything in me to get there.”

Despite a FaceTime call with Dakota after she landed in which she admitted to still having “feelings” for him, Taylor told Us it didn’t take long for her to realize it was the right decision for her to pursue The Bachelorette.

“I think as soon as I got there, I’m like, ‘We’re here. We made it. I’m a little late today,’” Taylor told Us. “To be in such a spot of turmoil and to be able to get up and still try and go — I feel like the people that tried to take me down beforehand, they would’ve won if I stayed home. So it’s like, ‘You’re not winning. I don’t care if it takes everything in me.’ There are people that end up by your side that don’t want you to succeed and that, unfortunately, comes with what we do. And so I refuse. So I got up and I went and I did it, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life.”

As season 4 came to a close, Dakota wondered aloud to Jessi and her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, if Taylor could be pregnant after allegedly not having her period. Taylor told Us, however, that another pregnancy was not even remotely on her radar.

“That wasn’t even a thought in my mind,” Taylor explained.

As for where she and Dakota stand today — post-Mormon Wives season 4 and as The Bachelorette season 22 starts — Taylor told Us “that’s a good question.”

“I don’t even know,” she said. “I have to ask myself that question all the time. Where do we stand? I don’t know. Ask me tomorrow.”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming now. The Bachelorette season 22 premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu.

10 Forgotten ’90s Movies That Have Aged Like Fine Wine

Published

on

Sihung Lung as Mr. Chu in Pushing Hands

The 1990s were not all that long ago, in the overall scheme of things, but they were also far back enough that the movies that came out that decade can probably be called classics nowadays. The newest film from the 1990s is still more than a quarter of a century old, and the earlier ones are in their mid-30s, so to speak. As a result, plenty of ‘90s movies are generally well-remembered, or appreciated as classics nowadays by younger movie watchers who might not remember the decade themselves.

Yet there were also so many movies released throughout the 1990s that a few genuinely good ones have been mostly forgotten. What follows is a few of those, none of them with more than 10,000 ratings on Letterboxd at the time of writing… like, you don’t want someone telling you that, what, Leon: The Professional is “forgotten” just because it’s sometimes called a cult classic, do you? If you do, sorry. There’s a proper attempt at looking at obscure or mostly forgotten stuff here, and then further, these movies are also really good, and still generally hold up better than you might expect when watched today. The wine is aging fine or whatever, something like that.

‘Pushing Hands’ (1991)

Ang Lee became more well-known after the 1990s, largely thanks to movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain. He’s a super accomplished director who, somewhat unusually, has won Best Director at the Oscars on two occasions, but he’s yet to direct a Best Picture winner, at least at the time of writing, though Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon did win Best Foreign Language Film.

Anyway, some of his 1990s movies are also really good, with Pushing Hands admittedly not being the very best of them (Eat Drink Man Woman is a genuine all-timer, for one), but it is his most obscure and overlooked movie. It’s a grounded dramedy about a man who moves from Beijing to America to live with relatives there, and finds himself a fish out of water and all that. It’s very good, and also particularly strong by the standards of a directorial debut.

‘Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Brokenhearted’ (1990)

Industrial Symphony No. 1_ The Dream of the Brokenhearted - 1990 Image via Warner Home Video

You won’t usually see Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Brokenhearted ranked among David Lynch’s feature films, even if it just squeaks by being feature-length (maybe?), with a runtime of 50 minutes. It’s longer than 45 minutes. It’s enough. But also, this one wasn’t released theatrically, so maybe that’s a reason why it’s more obscure. Also, it’s kind of a concert film?

Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Brokenhearted is maybe the strangest David Lynch “movie” that’s not a short film.

But it’s David Lynch doing a concert film. Frequent collaborator and musician Julee Cruise is the closest thing to the central subject here, but Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern are also here, albeit not exactly reprising their roles from Wild at Heart, even if that Lynch-directed movie came out the same year as Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Brokenhearted. Look, it’s maybe the strangest David Lynch “movie” that’s not a short film, and the only reason Inland Empire is less approachable is that it’s more than three times as long. But Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Brokenhearted is neat, dreamy, and entirely unique, so it’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of Lynch’s work but haven’t seen this particular one yet.

‘A Fistful of Fingers’ (1995)

Before he made some of the funniest and most iconic British comedies of all time, Edgar Wright directed A Fistful of Fingers, which is absolutely not as good as the likes of Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. That being said, it’s way better than many give it credit for. Might sound like a hot take, but it’s potentially even better (or at least more entertaining) than some of the less comedy-focused films Wright’s been trying his hand at in more recent years.

This is a parody of spaghetti Westerns, which are themselves (often) more over-the-top takes on the Western genre, so A Fistful of Fingers sure is ridiculous. It throws many jokes at you, and plenty don’t land, but it’s got that relentless energy many of the best parody movies have where you don’t really mind the fact that not every gag hits. This isn’t very well-remembered, and probably wouldn’t be remembered at all if Edgar Wright hadn’t gone on to become a well-regarded director, but if you like his 21st-century efforts, it’s worth traveling back to 1995 (accepting that this is more or less a feature-length student film) to give A Fistful of Fingers a chance.

‘Rex: A Dinosaur’s Story’ (1993)

1993 was a good year for dinosaur movies because Jurassic Park (the original; the one everyone agrees is great) came out that year. Oh, and there was also Rex: A Dinosaur’s Story, which was a very different sort of dinosaur movie, and actually a pretty good one, too. Further, the similarly titled We’re Back! A Dinosaur’s Story also came out in 1993. Dinosaurs everywhere.

With Rex: A Dinosaur’s Story, it’s a family movie about a young girl befriending a dinosaur, and it’s got more in common with another Steven Spielberg movie that’s not Jurassic Park: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It’s weird at times, and also not the most technically proficient of movies out there, but Rex: A Dinosaur’s Story is offbeat in a good way, and it proves surprisingly charming at times if you’re willing to give yourself over to something knowingly silly and sappy. It’s got a good heart and stuff.

6

‘Wing Chun’ (1994)

Any movie from 1994 stands an unfortunately good chance of getting overshadowed, since there were so many amazing movies released that year. Maybe Wing Chun is one of them, because it feels pretty underrated as far as martial arts movies go… though those who have seen it don’t tend to underappreciate it. It just needs a few more eyeballs on it.

The fact it stars both Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen is a good selling point, as is the fact that it was directed by Yuen Woo-Ping, who’s work you’ve likely seen even if you don’t watch martial arts movies from Hong Kong, since he was credited with doing fight choreography for the first three The Matrix movies and both volumes of Kill Bill. Wing Chun has great martial arts actors and a great martial arts director, so it’s a great martial arts movie. Lots of fun, really well-executed action, and very little downtime overall. 93 minutes fly by pretty quickly.

5

‘The Baby of Mâcon’ (1993)

The Baby of Macon - 1993 Image via Film4 Productions

Since The Baby of Mâcon is a Peter Greenaway film, it gets pretty gross and unpleasant at times. His most popular or well-known movie is The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, after all, and that’s by no means one you can recommend to just anyone. And yet it’s more approachable than most of his other stuff, which gets more experimental or more confronting. Or both.

With The Baby of Mâcon, it’s not really more experimental than The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, and they’re stylistically/visually comparable in some regards. Instead, The Baby of Mâcon leans more toward being particularly confronting. It is remarkably horrifying and beyond heavy, so much so that it’s hard to even talk about what it covers narratively without lunging abruptly out of PG-rated territory. Watch it if you can handle something very intense, or if you have doubts, stay clear. It’s good, but emotionally scarring in almost every way a movie can be.

4

‘Minbo, or The Gentle Art of Japanese Extortion’ (1992)

Minbo, or the Gentle Art of Japanese Extortion - 1992 Image via Toho

Minbo, or The Gentle Art of Japanese Extortion was directed by Jūzō Itami, whose best-known film remains Tampopo, which came out in the 1980s. He’s done some other films that are pretty underrated overall, including this 1992 film, even if the story behind it is the thing that Itami is second most well-known for, because Minbo, or The Gentle Art of Japanese Extortion proved extremely dangerous for the filmmaker.

The movie is a comedic one about the Yakuza, and it’s also critical about the organization, which led to Jūzō Itami getting attacked not long after the film’s release. Five years later, he died under suspicious circumstances, so whether the Yakuza had anything to do with that is also theorized. Minbo, or The Gentle Art of Japanese Extortion is even gutsier, then, in hindsight, for poking fun at such an organization, though that legacy does also make the movie harder to watch, and if that’s a turn-off for some people (making the movie, overall, a bit less viewed), then maybe that’s understandable, to some extent.

3

‘Drive’ (1997)

Not the one with Ryan Gosling (though that 2011 film is also very good), Drive (1997) is a bit wilder when it comes to genre. It’s a crime movie with a sci-fi spin, there’s lots of martial arts action, and it’s also a buddy comedy/road trip kind of film. It’s pretty gonzo and also a little scrappy in terms of its production and budget, but there’s definitely an offbeat charm here.

Also, all that’s to say that trying to describe the plot here will make Drive seem stupid in a bad way, but if you really need the basics, it’s about a cybernetically-enhanced man who teams up with another random person (without cybernetic enhancements) and they go on the run from people who want the cybernetically-enhanced guy for their own nefarious purposes. It’s stop and start, just being chased, just running, all silly, maybe a little repetitive, yet there’s also a lot of fun to be had here, and the fight choreography is genuinely really good, so the problems start to feel more like nitpicks, in the end.

‘Beyond the Mind’s Eye’ (1992)

Beyond the Mind’s Eye - 1992 (3) Image via Miramar Images Inc.

No narrative? No problems! Beyond the Mind’s Eye is just wild and psychedelic animation and music for almost an hour, and it’s awesome. Specifically, the animation here is very early computer animation, and some might say that would qualify Beyond the Mind’s Eye for being the opposite of a movie that’s aged like fine wine, but enough time has passed so that there’s something genuinely absorbing about how it all looks and feels.

It would’ve been genuinely impressive in 1992, and then nightmare fuel for maybe the 2000s and part of the 2010s, but it’s like a nostalgia or fashion cycle, and so 30+ years later, it’s great again, just not necessarily in a “Wow, this is groundbreaking” kind of way. Just zone out to this and look at all the weird and wonderful stuff. And good news if you’re one of the people fortunate enough to be wired to like strange stuff like this: there are three other entries in the Mind’s Eye series, and they’re all unbelievably trippy.

1

‘Tora-san to the Rescue’ (1995)

Tora-san to the Rescue - 1995 Image via Shochiku
Advertisement

It’s understandable why Tora-san to the Rescue is more than a little obscure, at least outside Japan, because it’s the 48th (yes, really) movie in a very long-running series known as Tora-san, or Otoko wa Tsurai yo. Each movie is about a man named Tora, and he seems doomed to be an eternal bachelor, falling in love with a different woman in each film most of the time, with a few of his love interests ultimately being recurring characters.

A woman named Lily was in the most, and she’s in this 48th film, which is bittersweet, as Tora-san to the Rescue was the last movie the series’ star, Kiyoshi Atsumi, appeared in before passing away. One movie was re-released in a re-edited form post 1995, and then in 2019, there was a “50thTora-san movie about the character’s legacy, made 50 years on from the first movie, with the surviving cast members returning, all (naturally) so much older. Director Yoji Yamada is also one of the oldest active filmmakers of all time, helming all but two of the Tora-san movies, and releasing his 91st movie overall in 2025, at the age of 94. Anyway, it’s almost impossible to get people interested in a series that’s this much of a time commitment, but it is genuinely worth it, and this 1995 film is one of the best (and most emotionally resonant) of the bunch.
