Picking the right shoes to pack for a summer vacation can feel confusing, unless you take a page from Selena Gomez‘s book. The star just shared a new Instagram post from her latest trip to London, which included plenty of appearances from woven Mary Jane flats. Best of all, we found a similarly chic style that you’ll want to pack in your carry-on this season — especially since our pick is under $55.

As seen in the stylish photos, Gomez walked through the city wearing white Mary Jane ballet flats. Her closed-toe footwear featured a woven texture and capped toes, secured with straps and large gold buckles. Similar details can be found in a nearly identical style from DV Dolce Vita, which has an open woven texture and thick buckled straps. A sheer fabric lining keeps the style ventilated in the heat while protecting your feet from dirt and dust.

Selena Gomez just gave Us another reason to refresh our sneaker rotation. We’d similarly recommend wearing this textured shoe with lighter colors to create a coordinated, put-together appearance. The style would subtly make your legs look longer if you wore it with matching white jeans or trousers. However, it would also look especially adorable with dresses, shorts, and skirts in the same hue, creating an effortless summertime ensemble.

Gomez isn’t the only star to fall for flats this season — especially Mary Janes. The breathable shoe choice has also been spotted on Katie Holmes (in multiple colors), Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Lily Collins, and Cameron Diaz. With flat soles and light, smooth-fitting textures — plus secure upper straps to keep your feet from slipping — this footwear pick has quickly become an easy method for elevating outfits and add a subtle preppy undertone.

As Gomez proved on her vacation, chicly textured flats are a shoe worth having in your summer rotation. Whether you’re traveling or looking for an effortlessly stylish base for an outfit, this style’s woven finish adds an artisanal touch to casual and dressy looks. With its ventilated design, flat base, and secure straps, this shoe stays put, making it the perfect slip-on option to wear everywhere from now through fall.

Anime has become one of the most popular media in the world thanks to its creativity and animation. Shows like One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen continue to innovate and attract new viewers. While there is a deeper layer to anime, the first thing people see is the art and animation, making it crucial for the series to be visually stunning.

Film and TV have two different budgets, but while one focuses all its time, effort, and money into around an hour, the other spreads it out over at least 12 episodes. Despite it being harder for anime to be as attractive as movies, they still deliver their unique appeal with every episode. However, March Comes in Like a Lion delivers a quaint and moving story through its gorgeous animation and style. Through its vibrant color palette and watercolor style, this anime creates a stunning visual style made better by its expressive animation. This is also one of the best-written anime series, making it perfect on more levels than one.

While it can be a bit horrific at times, as an anime with wholesome art but disturbing content, the visual appeal is still there and doesn’t get tiresome, no matter how many times fans rewatch it.

Your Fate Has Been Calculated
You’d Survive In…

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

The Resistance, Zion

The Matrix
Advertisement

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

  • You’re drawn to understanding how the system works before figuring out how to break it.
  • You’d find the Resistance, or it would find you — your instinct for spotting constructed realities is the machines’ worst nightmare.
  • You function best when you have access to information and the freedom to act on it.
  • The Matrix built an airtight prison. You’d be the one probing the walls for the door.

The Wasteland

Mad Max
Advertisement

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

  • You don’t need comfort, community, or a cause larger than the next horizon.
  • You need a vehicle, a clear threat, and enough fuel to outrun it — and you’re good at all three.
  • You are unsentimental enough to survive that world, and decent enough — just barely — to be something more than another raider.
  • In the wasteland, that distinction is everything.

Los Angeles, 2049

Blade Runner

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

  • You read people accurately, keep your circle small, and ask the questions others prefer not to answer.
  • In a city where humanity is a legal designation rather than a feeling, you hold onto something that keeps you functional.
  • You’re not a hero. But you’re not lost, either.
  • In Blade Runner’s world, that distinction is everything.

Arrakis

Dune

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

  • Patience, discipline, and political awareness are your core strengths — and on Arrakis, they’re survival tools.
  • You understand that the long game matters more than any single victory.
  • Others come to Dune and are consumed by it. You’d learn its logic and earn its respect.
  • In time, you wouldn’t just survive Arrakis — you’d begin to reshape it.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • You find meaning in being part of something larger than yourself — a cause, a crew, a rebellion.
  • You’d gravitate toward the Rebellion, or the fringes, or whatever pocket of the galaxy still believes the Empire’s grip can be broken.
  • You fight — not because you have to, but because standing aside isn’t something you’re capable of.
  • In Star Wars, that willingness is what makes all the difference.

‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’ (1995–1996)

Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most well-known anime of all time. Its influence and legacy have impacted the anime community in many ways that fans can still feel today. Shinji is a mild-mannered boy who must pilot a mech to fight against angel-like aliens. However, he must first battle his own inner demons if he wants to do what’s right for the world.

Many fans consider Neon Genesis Evangelion a masterpiece, and for good reason. However, one of the many excellent aspects of this anime is its animation and style, highlighted by the classic ’90s hand-drawn style with a bit of sci-fi and urban flair. The iconic animation and visual style do a lot to separate Neon Genesis Evangelion from any other 1990s anime, cementing it as a staple anime.

Most fans know Shinichirō Watanabe for Cowboy Bebop and may be watching his new series, Lazarus. However, his most stunning work is undoubtedly Space Dandy, which follows the titular protagonist on multiple sci-fi misadventures. Dandy and his robot and cat alien friends travel the cosmos looking for unregistered aliens to make a living, but spend most of their time messing about and running from the Gogol Empire.

Space Dandy may not have fluid motion and great fight scenes like all of Watanabe’s other projects, but the wondrous and imaginative cosmos and planets bring new life to his style. The gorgeous colors and absorbing backgrounds will have viewers in awe, delivering standout visuals and settings. Space Dandy has one of the most visually stunning anime worlds, and it is on the list because of it.

Love it or hate it, the ecchi genre is a staple of anime that has brought in countless viewers for its fan service. However, not every ecchi anime is mindless slop; Kill la Kill, for example, is a highly regarded anime with great style. Looking for her father’s killer, Ryuuko’s only clue is the other half of his missing invention, which she tracks down to be in a prestigious school.

Trigger is a renowned studio and will have other anime on this list, proving their eye for visual spectacle. Kill la Kill uses its inventive animation and popping art style to deliver a punk-like feeling to its gorgeous anime. The animation itself is also spectacular, with great fluidity and spectacle to keep viewers invested. Kill la Kill is one of the best original anime series.

Apple TV’s New Mystery Series Is One of the Biggest Shows on Streaming

Published

As one 97%‑rated series ends, Apple TV is enjoying the success of another. The new show couldn’t be more different from the first, even though both have identical scores on the aggregator website and are fundamentally comedies. The first of these two new shows is Margo’s Got Money Troubles, and together with the second, they’re proving that Apple’s slate of excellent content isn’t limited to the sci-fi genre. Over the years, Apple has become somewhat synonymous with shows such as Severance, Foundation, Silo, and more recently, Pluribus. The streak continued on May 29 with Star City, a companion piece to the streamer’s first-ever sci-fi series, For All Mankind.

But Apple is just as well known for shows such as Ted Lasso and Platonic. With Margo’s Got Money Troubles, the platform’s library continues to expand in exciting ways. Which brings us to the horror comedy that has gradually become a word-of-mouth hit on the service. The show premiered to stellar reviews last month, and according to FlixPatrol, remained in the middle of the rankings table for some time before starting to spike with every new episode. For a brief moment, the series was the number-one title on Apple worldwide before jumping back to #2 thanks tothe Jon Hamm-led dramedy Your Friends and Neighbors. With just three more episodes to go, the horror comedy series is primed to become an even bigger hit.

A Rewarding Binge Is Awaiting You With ‘Widow’s Bay’

We’re talking, of course, about Widow’s Bay. The show is created by Katie Dippold, a Parks and Recreation alum who appears to have combined that hit sitcom’s absurdity with her love for indie horror. Widow’s Bay stars television veteran Matthew Rhys as a mayor who discovers that his small town believes in the supernatural. The show has a “Certified Fresh” 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Katie Dippold successfully continues to invest in eccentricity with this outlandish horror-comedy that stokes the genre’s well-worn tropes to winning effect, bringing scares, laughs, and a game cast.” In her review, Collider’s Emily Bernard hailed Widow’s Bay as “Apple’s boldest show yet.” Stay tuned to Collider for more updates, and catch up with Widow’s Bay before the finale on June 17.

Andy Dick Signs Autographs In Rare Appearance After Overdose

Published

on

Reba Alum Chris Rich Post Stroke Health Battle in His Words

Andy Dick appeared to be in good spirits while signing autographs in a rare public appearance just five months after his alleged near-fatal drug overdose.

Dick, 60, was photographed at a booth at the Hollywood Show convention on Friday, May 29, where he was seen chatting with attendees and singing various pieces of memorabilia.

During the rare outing, the troubled star wore a pinstriped jacket over a black T-shirt for the outing as he sat at a table with various promotional products scattered in front of him, according to photos obtained by Page Six.

Just five months before the outing, Dick was found unconscious after experiencing an apparent overdose in Los Angeles. The incident took place after years of Dick’s known struggles with substance abuse.

Reba alum Christopher Rich candidly discussed his road to recovery after being diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury following a massive stroke. Rich rose to stardom playing Alexander “Sandy” Cory on Another World in the early ’80s. From there, Rich continued to make memorable appearances on shows such as The Nanny, ER and Murphy Brown […]

Dick was filming with friends Adam Carbone and Alexander Bailey in Hollywood on December 9, 2025, when he reportedly left the group and smoked crack cocaine with a random man on the street.

He fell unconscious and was revived after he received four shots of Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of opioid overdoses. The health scare was so serious that Dick told Page Six in January that he “legit died.”

“This is not funny, and I don’t remember this, but they say I came back to life, sat up, and the first thing outta my mouth was, ‘Where’s the vodka?’” he recalled.

In January, Dick told TMZ that he checked out of rehab and moved into a sober-living facility. He added that he was “taking things one day at a time and staying focused on sobriety” as he began a new chapter in his life.

Dick continued to open up about the overdose while appearing on the March 4 episode of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, in which he admitted he didn’t remember anything from the incident except “waking up in the ambulance.”

He confirmed he was dead and that his heart stopped, and he also shared that he turned “purple” and was “not breathing.”

Also during the appearance, Dick recalled that he had a scan after the incident and it revealed that he had “about five to seven holes” in his brain.

However, his rep clarified to Entertainment Weekly that the holes are not drug-related but were instead caused during a 2019 incident when a man punched Dick in the head.

“The issue with his brain is from the 2019 attack that almost killed Andy when an unprovoked attacker cold cocked Andy while he was outside of the club he and Paris Dylan had just performed,” the spokesperson explained. “We are assured that his brain will heal.”

The spokesperson continued, “As everyone knows, Andy has been battling his addictions for years. There was an incident this past December, but I am happy to report that Andy is healthy, sober and doing great!”

Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney Mourns Rue Death While Washing Sex Toys

Published

on

Euphoria

After killing off a main character halfway into Euphoria‘s presumed series finale, Sydney Sweeney‘s character Cassie mourned while washing sex toys.

The Sunday, May 31, episode of the hit HBO series showed Rue’s (Zendaya) death halfway into the finale. The rest of the presumed conclusion to the show was focused on the other characters reacting to Rue’s shocking death.

Lexi (Maude Apatow) confided in Cassie — who was washing her sex toys — about reading through Rue’s Bible after her death. The scene stood out due to what Cassie was doing while discussing her friend no longer being alive. She also smiled and kept the conversation light while complimenting Rue’s smile.

Sunday’s episode was the conclusion to a chaotic season for Cassie. Creator Sam Levinson specifically received backlash for how he portrayed Cassie’s OnlyFans arc after some creators weren’t thrilled with how their line of work was portrayed on screen.

Levinson, however, defended the decision to push boundaries.

“[Cassie] has got her dog house and her little dog ears and the nose, and that has its own humor,” Levinson explained to The Hollywood Reporter in April. “But what makes the scene is the fact that her housekeeper is the one filming it.”

Euphoria
HBO Max

He continued: “What we wanted to always find is the other layer of absurdity that we’re able to tie into it so that we’re not too inside of her fantasy or illusion,” the 41-year-old added. “The gag is to jump out, to break the wall.”

Levinson broke down how he and director of photography Marcell Rév brought the scenes to life.

“An obvious choice would’ve been something modern and very plain and fancy, but we ended up choosing this mid-century home, which is a little tacky, but also stuck in the ‘70s,” Rév explained. “It’s probably a strange choice, but also it gives us possibilities. OnlyFans has its own aesthetic and how you elevate that aesthetic to the show’s aesthetic is a challenge. I’m not going to lie.”

Despite the backlash, Levinson stood by his vision.

“Some of these scenes we only lit with these ring lights that she would use. When you’re inside, it’s a beautiful, glowing front light, but then you jump out of it and it’s just a pool of light and everything surrounding it is dark. It’s just gnarly and jarring,” he added. “We wanted to capture what she’s trying to show the audience and be inside of it. But then also pull back wider and see how depressing it is.”

Euphoria Season 3 Finale Kills Off Zendaya’s Character Rue

Published

on

Euphoria

Euphoria went out with a bang after the season 3 finale killed off a crucial main character halfway into the episode.

During the Sunday, May 31, episode of the hit HBO series, Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) killed Rue (Zendaya) after he found out that she was working undercover to take him down. He gave her pain killers that were laced with fentanyl — and she ultimately overdosed halfway into the episode.

Ali (Colman Domingo) found Rue dead on his couch and the rest of the episode followed his mission to get revenge on Alamo. The final episode of the show was Ali at the farm that Rue spent time at in the season 3 premiere where he said grace at the dinner table in her honor.

While Rue’s death may come as a shock to some, other fans were prepared for Zendaya’s arc to get wrapped up in the presumed series finale. The actress was previously asked by Drew Barrymore in April whether the show was over for good after season 3.

“I think so, yeah,” she said on Barrymore’s eponymous talk show. “That closure is coming.”

Creator Sam Levinson, meanwhile, was more vague.

“[I write] every season like it’s the last season,” he told Variety in April. “[I have] no plans [for season 4].”

He continued: “I want to finish this as strong as I can. I’m cutting [episodes] 7 and 8 still. I’m putting some finishing touches. I just want to deliver a f***ing slam dunk season.”

Rue wasn’t the only major casualty in the show’s third season. Jacob Elordi‘s character, Nate, also suffered a grim fate when he was killed in a box in the ground from a rattlesnake bite.

“That was a cool way to go. Nate was someone who has made so many mistakes and made so many dark choices,” Elordi explained in a segment that aired after the May 24 episode. “It’s cool to see it all come to what it’s come to.”

Elordi recalled having to film in a coffin, adding, “My shoulders were touching the side and they couldn’t move my arms. Then they would drill the lid on it and it would get dark.
It was really nice, actually. It was quite peaceful in there.”

The stunt team, meanwhile, stressed how important it was to make sure the actor had oxygen. They praised Elordi for agreeing to spend “minimal time in the coffin.” Levinson, for his part, said he “wanted to shoot it with a real snake” so a rattlesnake and a boa constrictor were both featured on screen.

“Snakes were rattling, which was really alarming when you are locked in a box,” Elordi noted. “They had a boa constrictor that they put a fake rattler on the end of it.”

He continued: “He was super cute. He was really cuddly. So he kind of just sidled up next to me and it was nice. But he was really sleepy. He was a sleepy snake. I had to kind of nudge him to get him to come up. And that was it.”

At the end of the segment, Elordi reflected on his time playing Nate.

“It’s a bittersweet thing,” he said. “This show is a massive part of — not just my career — but my life. It’s been amazing and I’m so proud of being a part of this.”

Euphoria is streaming on HBO Max.

“Then myself and the rest of the people that were looking hauled the skiff up further on the shore, and that’s where it was … when the coroner came,” he adds. “Right now, all I can say is that he was lost in the river. He was lost in the river and we found him.”

According to Noah, his brother’s body is currently with “the coroner” and “they’re going to do an autopsy.”

They haven’t yet released the cause of death,” he tells Us, though is brother Bear Brown shared in a Saturday social media post that he believes his brother Matt’s death was “self-inflicted.”

“I’m kind of compartmentalizing, kind of focusing on, like, what the next thing is I’m supposed to do,” he says of the moment he saw his brother’s remains. “I knew I needed to be there in order to be able to identify him. It’s not just for the sheriffs and everything.”

He continues, “My family has this thing that if we don’t see the body and one of us is able to confirm otherwise, there is, like, a little glimmer of hope that maybe they’re still out there. His ID was on him, his social security was on him. And I, personally, I personally ID’d him. They unzipped the body bag for me, and I was able to visually ID [my brother].”

“I just happened to be the one to be taking the lead on it because, I guess, I was the most prepared to do it,” he says. “To kind of take all that responsibility.”

On Sunday, the Brown Family issued an exclusive statement to Us Weekly, speaking out for the first time as a collective unit after Matt’s untimely death.

“We are incredibly proud of the lives he touched. Some of the messages we treasure most are from people who told us Matt’s honesty about addiction and recovery gave them hope during their own darkest moments,” the family said in part. “At the same time, Matt spent many years battling serious mental health challenges and addiction. These were complex struggles that affected every aspect of his life.”

They continued, “Like countless families facing similar circumstances, we experienced periods of hope, recovery, setbacks, heartbreak, reconciliation, and renewed hope again.”

Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman has opened up about caring for her mom, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

“It’s 24-hour care,” Schlapman, 56, told USA Today in an interview published on Saturday, May 30, of the experience she’s undertaken since her 78-year-old mother Barbara’s diagnosis was presented about 20 years ago.

“When she was diagnosed, we didn’t understand what her care would mean,” she continued. “We didn’t know enough about the disease to know where we were headed.”

Schlapman, who works with her family as well as hired help to care for Barbara, recalled the day in 2005 when Barbara’s hand tremor led to a doctor informing her that she may have Parkinson’s disease, a movement disorder of the nervous system that worsens over time according to the Mayo Clinic.

Little Big Town has been going strong for more than 25 years, and Kimberly Schlapman thinks she’s figured out the recipe for their success — as well as the reason her bandmates’ relationship is so strong. “I make a joke that I am the secret to [Karen and Jimi’s] marriage because I’m always in the […]

“I was like, what? What? Because no one in our family, to our knowledge, has had Parkinson’s before,” Schlapman detailed, before adding that once the suspicion evolved into a diagnosis, the family did not understand what care for Barbara would look like.

Feeling the need to “be in multiple places at once,” Schlapman, who shares two daughters, Daisy, 18, and Dolly, 9, with husband Stephen, told the outlet that she relishes the responsibility to provide care for her loved ones.

“I love being a mama. I also know what my mama has meant to me in my life. Now I get an opportunity to care for her. That’s incredibly important to me,”  Schlapman said. “I also have a job where people rely on me.”

Schlapman, who is also an avid cook, spoke wider about the need for more people to openly discuss the realities of living with Parkinson’s disease.

Dua Lipa Marries Callum Turner Before Epic Sicily Bash

Published

on

Dua Lipa goes to dinner at NYC's trendy Zero Bond club with boyfriend Callum Turner.

Dua Lipa has officially entered a new chapter in her life after quietly marrying actor Callum Turner in an intimate London ceremony.

While the pair is still preparing for a star-studded celebration in Italy, they have already made their union official.

The low-key event offered a glimpse into their romance before what many insiders are calling one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings of the year.

According to The Daily Mail, the singer and the actor tied the knot on Saturday morning at the historic Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.

Their legal ceremony was deliberately understated, taking place before a much larger wedding celebration planned for Sicily later this month.

Dua Lipa, 30, looked every bit the modern bride in a custom Schiaparelli skirt suit paired with white gloves, a Bulgari necklace, and a dramatic, wide-brimmed hat created by renowned milliner Stephen Jones.

Carrying a yellow bouquet and wearing white Christian Louboutin heels, she emerged from the registry office holding hands with her new husband.

Turner, 36, opted for a tailored navy suit that complemented the elegant yet relaxed atmosphere of the occasion. The couple was surrounded by close family members who cheered them on as they exited the venue.

The ceremony reportedly lasted between 30 and 40 minutes. Afterward, the newlyweds celebrated in characteristically modest fashion by climbing into a black London cab and heading off together. Family members joked that Dua Lipa specifically wanted a black cab to mark the occasion.

A Bridal Look Inspired By Fashion History

Observers quickly noticed similarities between Dua Lipa’s wedding ensemble and one of the most memorable celebrity bridal looks of all time.

Her outfit appeared to draw inspiration from Bianca Jagger’s famous 1971 wedding attire at her wedding to Mick Jagger.

Bianca famously wore a white Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo jacket paired with a flowing skirt and oversized hat, creating an enduring fashion moment.

Dua Lipa’s modern interpretation echoed that same glamorous 1970s aesthetic. The singer’s sophisticated styling balanced timeless elegance with contemporary flair, making her legal ceremony look instantly memorable.

The setting itself added another interesting layer to the occasion. The ceremony took place in the Sammy Ofer Center, a venue named after the late Israeli shipping magnate.

While the wedding was intentionally private, photos of the couple leaving the venue quickly spread online, drawing admiration from fans who have followed their whirlwind romance since it became public in 2024.

Dua Lipa Prepares For Showbiz Wedding Of The Year

Although the London ceremony made their marriage official, an even grander celebration is still ahead.

The newlyweds are expected to host a lavish three-day event in Palermo, Sicily, beginning later this week. Industry insiders have already described the gathering as the “showbiz wedding of the year.”

One source close to the event told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind, “This is going to be the coolest wedding, and so glam.”

The insider added, “Both Dua and Callum have been so excited and have been really involved with the planning. They want it to be epic.”

Reports suggest no expense has been spared. The pair is believed to have reserved an entire floor of suites at the luxurious Villa Igiea hotel overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The wedding ceremony itself is expected to take place at the stunning 17th-century Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria.

Several major names from music and fashion are reportedly expected to attend, including Sir Elton John, Mark Ronson, Charli XCX, Donatella Versace, and Simon Porte Jacquemus.

Engagement Joy Led To Marriage

Long before their wedding day arrived, Dua Lipa openly expressed her excitement about spending her future with Callum Turner.

During an interview with British Vogue last year, she confirmed their engagement by saying, “Yeah we‘re engaged. It’s very exciting…”

She continued, “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever — it’s a really special feeling.”

At the time, both were balancing demanding professional schedules. Dua Lipa was focused on touring while Turner was immersed in filming commitments.

Discussing their plans, the singer explained, “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period…”

She also admitted that weddings had never previously occupied much space in her imagination.

“I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

As their relationship grew more serious, Dua Lipa also reflected on the future she hopes to build with Callum Turner.

The singer revealed that she was deeply touched by the engagement ring he chose for her.

She said, “It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”

Marriage is not the only milestone she has been considering. Dua Lipa has also spoken candidly about wanting children one day, even though she remains uncertain about balancing motherhood with her demanding career.

“I’d love to have kids one day,” she said.

However, she acknowledged the practical questions that continue to weigh on her mind.

She added, “But it’s like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I’d have to take.”

For now, those questions can wait. After a quiet ceremony in London and a glamorous Sicilian celebration still to come, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have officially begun married life together while continuing to build a future that both have openly said they are excited to share.

Emma also emphasized that there are practical, everyday steps people can take to support long-term brain health and wellbeing.

She noted, “What I’ve learned is that it’s so important to care for ourselves, and if we’re not caring for ourselves, how can we care for the people that we love in our lives? So it’s really important to prioritize our health, to prioritize our brain health.”

Willis, best known for “Die Hard” and “The Sixth Sense,” retired from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects communication and language skills.

His family later revealed in 2023 that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia, a degenerative brain disease.

At the time, they announced that he was stepping away from his career and asked for public understanding, while also expressing hope for greater awareness and research into the condition.

More recently, Willis’ eldest daughter, Rumer, shared a deeply personal update about how the diagnosis has reshaped her family’s outlook on life, time, and gratitude.

Speaking on “The Inside Edit” podcast with stylist Maeve Reilly, Rumer said life has not been the same since her father’s diagnosis, but emphasized that she feels grateful for the moments they still share.

She also expressed appreciation that her young daughter, 3-year-old Louetta, has been able to spend time with her grandfather, noting that not all future generations may have that same opportunity.

As the daughter of Willis and Demi Moore, Rumer said the family has remained closely bonded throughout the journey.

Willis also shares daughters Mabel and Evelyn with his wife, Emma Heming Willis. She described the situation as deeply difficult but said the family continues to support one another.

Rumer also noted that the illness has revealed a gentler side of her father, saying that despite the changes brought on by FTD, she has noticed more “sweetness” and “tenderness” in his personality than she remembered from his earlier, more rugged public image.

She added that she was initially unaware of how widespread FTD is until her father’s diagnosis, but since speaking out, many people have reached out to share similar experiences with loved ones affected by the disease.

In a previous Instagram Q&A, Rumer said that while her father’s condition has clearly changed him, there are still moments where his personality and “spark” remain visible.

She acknowledged the difficult reality of FTD, adding that while no one with the condition is truly “doing great,” Willis is as stable as can be expected given the circumstances.

More recently, Broadway star Laurie Metcalf described Willis as “an incredibly generous man,” recalling their time working together on the 2015 Broadway adaptation of “Misery” as he continues to live with frontotemporal dementia.

Speaking on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the 70-year-old actress reflected on her close working relationship with Willis, 71, saying he was known for regularly surprising cast and crew with gifts during the production.

Metcalf said the pair developed an easy rapport while performing in the stage version of Stephen King’s 1987 novel, with much of their time spent backstage talking about everyday life, including family and personal routines.

She also shared that Willis once recommended dining at Nobu for a family outing, a suggestion she later followed.

According to Metcalf, Willis quietly covered the cost of a dinner she shared with her son, only for her to later learn the actor had already taken care of the bill.

She added that Willis’s presence also had a major impact on the show’s success, drawing large audiences throughout its Broadway run.

“He filled every seat in that house,” she said, noting that the production consistently sold out as fans turned up to see him perform.
