Stephen King’s 10 Best Fantasy Books, Ranked
There’s a lot that can be written about Stephen King, but that’s understandable when you consider how much writing there is by Stephen King. He’s been having work published consistently since 1974, which is when Carrie first came out, and it was that book (plus Salem’s Lot and The Shining, released in the following few years) that really helped establish him as a horror author.
His scariest books often remain some of his most popular and enduring, but King’s work is far from just horror-focused, since he’s written his fair share of sci-fi, crime, and fantasy books, too. It’s the fantasy genre that’s going to be focused on below, with some of these admittedly crossing over into the horror genre, to some extent. But if something’s either predominantly fantasy or somewhere between fantasy and horror, it can be counted, for present purposes.
10
‘The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger’ (1982)
The Dark Tower is going to pop up a few times here, since it’s a book series that encompasses seven main novels, and then one interquel set between books #4 and #5; call it book 4.5, if you want. The whole series is perhaps most easily definable as a dark fantasy one, though there are so many other genres explored throughout, with parts of it being creepy, some chunks of certain books having a particularly strong Western feel, and sci-fi elements ultimately playing a role quite a lot, too.
So, here’s the first book in the series, The Gunslinger, which is a great introduction to the main character, Roland, and his quest to find the titular Dark Tower, alongside the stage being set for the strange world he (initially) inhabits. It’s a weird book, and one that makes more sense the more of the series you read, but the fantastical stuff here is too bold and distinct to not give this first Dark Tower book some recognition here.
9
‘Insomnia’ (1994)
Very much worth talking about within the context of The Dark Tower series, Insomnia is most interesting for the allusions and references it has to some of the characters (especially of a villainous nature) and concepts from The Dark Tower. Its central premise, though, involves an old man who has the titular condition, and his lack of sleep has him seeing increasingly strange supernatural things.
Those supernatural things are part of a bigger conflict, and as he loses his grip on reality, to some extent, he gains more knowledge of something outside “reality” as it’s understood. The Dark Tower is referenced in plenty of other Stephen King novels and stories, but probably most referenced here, in Insomnia, which makes it a dense and somewhat difficult-to-approach book, albeit a very rewarding one if you’re invested in the whole Stephen King multiverse.
8
‘The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla’ (2003)
Jumping ahead a little in The Dark Tower series, here’s Wolves of the Calla, which marked the start of a race toward the finish for Stephen King. He had a brush with death in 1999, after being hit and seriously injured by a vehicle, which seemed to inspire King to finish The Dark Tower, which had its first four books published over a fairly long stretch of time (1982 to 1997).
The last three books were all published between 2003 and 2004, with Wolves of the Calla being a bit punchier and more immediate in terms of forwarding things toward a climax. The third and fourth books are well-loved by some King fans, because the third does some great world-building, and then the fourth is instrumental in laying out so much of Roland’s backstory, but they do spin their wheels a bit (and not just because a train is involved near the third book’s end and the fourth’s beginning). Wolves of the Calla says, “Yep, okay, let’s get this done,” having a good deal of action and then a very intense final 50 to 100 pages or so, all of it very important for the final two books in the series.
7
‘The Talisman’ (1984)
Diving into Stephen King’s whole body of work will reveal a few books he’s co-written, with the best of his collaborations to date being with Peter Straub. The two wrote The Talisman in 1984, and then Black House in 2001, with a third book in the series talked about for a while, with its publication seeming less likely after Straub sadly passed away in 2022… but then King finished the third book, Other Worlds Than These, scheduled for release in 2026.
But sticking to The Talisman, it’s a pretty great fantasy/adventure story about a young boy going on a quest to an alternate world/dimension in an attempt to save his mother from dying of lung cancer. It’s a premise King kind of revisited himself, in Fairy Tale, but he does it much better in this book, with Straub. And then, Black House isn’t quite as good, but is still ultimately worthy of a read for anyone who enjoyed what The Talisman was doing.
6
‘The Eyes of the Dragon’ (1984)
The Eyes of the Dragon is potentially the gentlest book Stephen King wrote before the 1990s, or maybe even before the 2000s, as he’s gotten a little more sentimental as he’s gotten older (see Lisey’s Story, for a dramatic example). It came out at a time when King was largely known for horror and some science fiction-related stories, most of them pretty heavy on cruelty, suspense, and frequent deaths.
The Eyes of the Dragon is also on the slimmer side of things, by the standards of Stephen King’s novels, which makes it an approachable book.
You still get conflict with The Eyes of the Dragon, and it’s not that it lacks stakes or anything, but it feels more fantasy than dark fantasy, compared to just about any other fantasy-related book King’s penned. It’s also on the slimmer side of things, by the standards of Stephen King’s novels, which makes it an approachable book, and one that could be read by younger readers more easily than the majority of his other works.
5
‘The Green Mile’ (1996)
Both the book and movie versions of The Green Mile have low-key fantasy elements, compared to most other fantasy stories, but you’ve still got a death row prisoner integral to the narrative who has difficult-to-explain powers of healing. He also seems innocent of the crimes he’s been sentenced to death for, which gets the block supervisor of death row conflicted about what to do regarding what legally has to be carried out.
Stephen King wrote this one in the form of a six-part serial novel, and all the parts add up to something pretty great overall… and it’s easy to call The Green Mile one of King’s most emotional books, too. It’s not full-on fantasy, perhaps more magical realism, and it’s also light on true horror elements, so The Green Mile stands out pretty well within King’s body of work for those reasons (plus the fact that it’s also very good, of course).
4
‘The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three’ (1987)
After The Gunslinger served as a good introduction for some things, The Drawing of the Three (book #2 in The Dark Tower series) does so much for introducing even more out-there concepts into the series, and for also giving Roland more by way of compelling supporting characters. The Drawing of the Three also might have one of the greatest opening chapters in literary history, since things get shaken up so intensely, bizarrely, gruesomely, and borderline-recklessly.
But the momentum from the gonzo opening is kept up, and all the jumping between world-related stuff is incredible, and also vital for the rest of the series and how it operates narratively. The Gunslinger is still good, but The Drawing of the Three is where The Dark Tower gets genuinely great, and there’s a very high chance that, should you get to book #2, you’ll be hooked from that point on until book #7.
3
‘It’ (1986)
It feels a bit more of a horror book than a fantasy one, sure, but it’s sprawling enough to ultimately exist within a few different genres, and one of them is dark fantasy. What you get here is a bunch of kids taking on a horrific entity, and then doing the same as adults, because this particular being is active every 27 years… but structurally, it jumps back and forth between those two timelines.
It’s a dizzying read that proved hard to do justice in either a miniseries or movie duology form, especially because, regarding the latter, quite a few of the more out-there fantastical ideas weren’t really tackled/adapted. The best way to experience the story, by far, is still as a novel, and even if It is an incredibly long novel, it’s ultimately very much worth tackling.
2
‘The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower’ (2004)
The most infamous of The Dark Tower books is the seventh, and yet it also might be the best of them. What you definitely get here, for better or worse, is a definitive ending, to the point where a genuine eighth book feels not just unlikely, but wholly unnecessary. It’s also been 20-ish years, and while there’s been that interquel and other stories that reference The Dark Tower, this seventh book feels like a definitive conclusion in every way.
What are some of those ways? Well, this is one of the easiest to spoil books ever, since you get drama and surprisingly high stakes right from the very first chapter, so alluding to anything that happens here could ruin the book, and also a bunch of the books that came before it, in the series. It’s King just about at his best, though, within the fantasy genre (like, It might be the better book, but The Dark Tower VII is beating it here, partly because The Dark Tower VII is more fantasy heavy).
1
‘The Stand’ (1978)
Since it’s a post-apocalyptic book, and particularly heavy on the elements that make up such a genre early on, you might initially feel like The Stand leans a little more into science fiction than fantasy. But as it goes along, the survivors of a massive viral outbreak (the people left after more than 99% of humanity dies) get roped into a battle of good versus evil, and the leaders of both sides have mysterious and fantastical powers.
It’s all dark fantasy, of course, since The Stand is a pretty bleak book that also finds plenty of time to be frightening, at least when it’s not focused on also being an adventure story, or something a bit more suspense/thrill-heavy. The Stand, in its uncut form, is easily Stephen King’s longest single novel, so there’s ample room here for him to play around and do a bit of everything, and here, he does a bit of everything so incredibly well.

Invincible’s Latest Episode Just Made A Major Change to the Comics
Invincible is one of the few superhero adaptations that not only hews fairly close to its source material, but also updates it in surprising ways. This week’s episode, “Give Us A Moment“, is a key example of this: not only does it feature the bloody rematch between Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) and Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), but it also changes the reunion between his parents, Debbie (Sandra Oh) and Nolan (J.K. Simmons). While Debbie comes to an understanding with Nolan in the comics, she rightfully lays into him in the show, delivering a truly emotional moment. One of the biggest changes actually involves another character, Tech Jacket.
Created by Invincible co-creator Robert Kirkman and artist E.J. Su, Tech Jacket is the alter ego of Zach Thompson, a young boy whose life changes forever when he bonds with the Tech Jacket armor. The Tech Jacket transforms Zach into a living weapon, allowing him to protect the Earth from supervillains and cosmic threats. Invincible fans got their first glimpse at Tech Jacket in the Season 3 episode “This Is All My Fault,” but “Give Us A Moment” threw them for a loop with the reveal that Tech Jacket is now Zoe Thompson, and voiced by Zoey Deutch. As it turns out, there was a reason
The Tech Jacket Change in ‘Invincible’ Makes Zoe Feel More Distinct
While speaking to Den of Geek about “Give Us A Moment,” Robert Kirkman and Invincible showrunner Simon Racioppa discussed why they decided to gender-swap Tech Jacket. Kirkman said that the realization came when he looked at the comics and realized that Tech Jacket and Invincible share similar origins:
“When it came time to introduce Tech Jacket, I realized that if we had brought him straight to comics, he’d be very similar to Mark… We decided early on that it would be interesting to gender swap this character. We started thinking about who Zoe would be instead of Zach. There are some exciting things that come up when you change that character.”
Kirkman makes a great point, as Invincible and Tech Jacket both share the same concept of a teenage boy learning to be a superhero while wielding powers of alien origin. Tech Jacket would even come a full year before Invincible, arguably shaping the concepts that Kirkman would later refine in the latter book. The change also works, as Zoe is instantly a scene stealer. Zoey Deutch’s performance is full of hyperactive energy, which shows in Zoe’s battle against Walking Dread and her conversations with her father Dan (Bobby Moynihan). It’s also not the first time Invincible has made a major change to its supporting cast; superhero Shrinking Rae (Grey Griffin) is yet another example of the series gender-flipping a character and getting more out of them as a result.
The West Wing Retrospective — The Collider TV Quiz!
It ran for seven seasons. Are you seasoned enough for this challenge?
Tech Jacket Could Be A Breath of Fresh Air for ‘Invincible’, Especially In the Viltrumite War
Invincible has entered into what’s arguably its darkest storyline yet with the Viltrumite War. Mark, Zoe, Nolan and the rest of their allies have to battle against the remnants of the Viltrumite Empire, led by the tyrannical Grand Regent Thragg (Lee Pace). “Give Us A Moment” highlights how brutal this battle will be, especially with the carnage that Mark and Conquest inflict on each other, but Zoe’s presence could help lighten the mood. During the fight, she sticks close to Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen) and even lifts a trick from Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back to evade the Viltrumites. This leads to a hilarious argument about video games, but also provides a breather from the mayhem fans just witnessed.
Zoe also seems to form a connection with Mark’s brother Oliver (Christian Convery), as the two hang out while playing video games. Given that Oliver struggles to fit into human society, having him befriend Zoe can provide a connection outside of his family and give him a peer in the superhero community. It’s also a chance to lean more into Invincible‘s bittersweet nature, since Oliver’s rapid aging means that he could be older than Zoe in just a few years. Invincible excels at bringing moments from the comics that inspired it to life, but the change it makes with Tech Jacket is one of the best decisions the series has made to date.

Some folks are siding with Trick’s unbothered attitude about being himself, vulgar language and behavior included, on stage. Others are asking the AKA’s to reveal which chapter booked the rapper. A select few don’t see the problem with how Daddy was carrying on. And the jokes? On 100, no…on 1000. Roommates, keep scrolling to peep some of these reactions and drop yours in the comment section!
Trick Daddy Goes Rogue During Show, AKA Director Speaks Out
We kind of already painted the picture! Trick Daddy pulled up in jeans, a pink shirt, and a pink beanie. He gave it his all out there, from asking about kitty cats getting licked to telling the crowd to watch his pee-pee jump and talking about the hood n****s. At one point, he sang, “Put your f**king hands up” and “To all my ladies in this motherf*cker.”
After the regional director cut his mic off, ending the performance, he clapped back while on stage. “Don’t turn my mic down. Turn the music up,” he said. Meanwhile, Regional Director Russell asked the crowd to give Trick a round of applause and acknowledged that things had gone too far.

Russell also released an official statement following the shutdown of Trick Daddy’s performance. She explained that he violated their agreement to perform “a selected list of songs” following their step and stroll competition. He and his team were allegedly briefed multiple times about the AKA’s requirements, including his language use and attire. Still, he used unacceptable “language…lyrics…comments.” Russell wrote, “I ended the performance because of the disrespect for our organization and for our brand.”
Trick Daddy Slams Sorority Response As X Pops Off
After Trick Daddy peeped the statement from the regional director, he went off in an Instagram live. “You can’t give me no motherf**king playlist. This ain’t your wedding…I ain’t no shawty, I ain’t no little a*s boy,” he said. The rapper said that the sadity people should’ve bounced when they saw him get on the mic. He emphasized that they hired him and he allegedly gave the AKA’s a half-price show. “You turned my mic off. I felt disrespected, I left,” Trick said.
As said, Trick Daddy and the AKA’s are also popping on X. Keep scrolling to see how that platform is sounding off, especially after the rapper defended himself.

Gigi Hadid Addresses Her Appearance in the Epstein Files
Model Gigi Hadid is speaking out after her name appeared in the notorious Epstein Files.
“Made me sick to my stomach,” Hadid, 30, replied to a March 29 Instagram comment from a fan who claimed they were going to unfollow the model for not addressing her name’s appearance in the FBI’s investigation of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way,” she continued, per E! News. “Especially in this context. Never in my life met the monster — to me it was so obvious, in that email chain, he tried to take responsibility for people’s careers in order to manipulate his victims (in this case, whoever was emailing him questions about my career) … who never saw the work he claimed he’d get them.”
She added, “I didn’t comment bc I don’t want to take away from the stories of the real victims of his; but your comment made me realize maybe it’s not clear — and it’s important to let you know — I grew up privileged, yes. But my parents protected me and taught me the value of hard work, the same hard work that got them to this country and gave them careers.”
After the Department of Justice (DOJ) was ordered to release the files in accordance with The Epstein Files Transparency Act, a December 2015 email exchange between an individual whose name was redacted and the late financier featured Gigi and her sister, Bella Hadid.

“How did the Hadid sisters became [sic] models and make so much money?! I don’t understand,” the email to Epstein reportedly read.
“You know,” Epstein replied.
When the unnamed individual responded, guessing that the pair’s father “paid the agency,” Epstein reportedly replied, “No.” (Gigi Hadid is the daughter of Yolanda Hadid and real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, who also share daughter Bella and son Anwar Hadid.)
“Because they follow directions, its [sic] that simple,” Epstein added.
In her response to the Instagram comment, Gigi explained how her and her sister became staples in the model and fashion industry.
“We applied for and my mom brought me herself to meetings with agencies in NYC just before I turned 18, two of which she was signed to in her career — Marylins and Ford… I probably met w 10 agencies — only Marylin’s, IMG, and (maybe?) one other agency offered me a contract. I signed to IMG in 2012. And I’ve worked hard every moment since.”
She continued, “To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email — is disturbing, and I want to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being. May he rest in [two fire emojis].”
Epstein died on August 10, 2019, in a federal Manhattan jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The disgraced billionaire, who died by suicide, had previously pleaded guilty to one count of soliciting prostitution and one count of soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008. He only served 13 months in a county jail and was registered as a sex offender.

Eve Plumb Recalls Dating Onscreen Brother Christopher Knight
The Brady Bunch star Eve Plumb is remembering her ill-fated attempt at dating her onscreen brother, Christopher Knight.
“It was sweet,” Plumb, 67, said of the brief romance in an interview with Page Six published on Saturday, April 4. “It was fun, but we were really already by that time just too good of friends to make that transition into being romantic partners.”
Plumb memorably played middle sister Jan Brady in the beloved 1969 sitcom, which ran for five seasons until its 1974 finale. Knight played middle brother Peter Brady. The show also featured stars Maureen McCormick, Mike Lookinland, Barry Williams, Florence Henderson, Susan Olsen and Robert Reed.
Williams, who played the eldest Brady son in the ABC Sitcom, exclusively told Us Weekly in a previous interview that “everyone” dated offscreen.
“We all hooked up with each other at some point,” the actor told Us in September 2024, ahead of the show’s 55th anniversary. “Not necessarily while we were filming.”
He continued at the time, “I dated Maureen, and Chris dated Eve and Michael and Susan had a little mock wedding at one point. So, yes, we all hooked up.”

Christopher Knight and Eve Plumb Getty Images
The pairings all coincided with the age of each actor’s character on the show. McCormick played Marsha, the eldest daughter, while Knight and Plum played the two middle children. Lookinland and Olsen played Bobby and Cindy, for the uninitiated — the two youngest Brady children.
In her upcoming book Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond, Plumb admitted that her attempts at dating her castmember were ultimately unsuccessful because of their onscreen siblinghood.
“Any attempts at making out that evening ended with laughter and resignation that we’d always be sister and brother,” she wrote, per Page Six, “even in real life.”
The actress added that her and Knight have remained friends “to this day.”
While the off-screen dating attempts were apparently age appropriate, Williams admitted to Us back in 2024 that he did have a crush on his TV mom, Henderson.
“I had a teenage crush on her, for sure, and she’s got a very lively personality and great sense of humor, but I knew that I wanted to have music in my career [in] acting, and so I talked to her a lot about that,” he told Us at the time. “I had found this singer coming into the Copacabana near Beverly Hills. I can’t think of exactly where it was, but I invited her to go together as a date, and she said, ‘Ok,’ so I was thrilled. And now for me, it was a date.”
He continued, “I did go in for a little kiss, and she was nice enough to return it. So it was a highlight. Nice little peck, yes.”

Everything Pooh Shiesty & Crew Allegedly Stole
In January of this year, Pooh Shiesty allegedly kidnapped Gucci Mane for a little over an hour. Pooh then allegedly forced the 1017 label owner to sign his contractual release at gunpoint. But that’s not all that he, Big30 and their co-conspirators dipped off with, per the criminal complaint. From watches to a wedding band, here’s a breakdown of everything allegedly stolen from three victims.
RELATED: Criminal Complaint Against Pooh Shiesty & His Conspirators Surfaces With Alleged Gucci Mane Kidnapping Details (SEE HERE)
Who Was Involved In The Kidnapping & Robbery Of Gucci Mane?
Pooh Shiesty (Lontrell Williams Jr.), Lontrell Williams Sr., Rodney Wright Jr., Kedarius Waters, Terrance Rodgers, Damarian Gipson, Demarcus Glover, Kordae Johnson, and Darrion McDaniel are the nine defendants named in the criminal complaint.
The kidnapping and robbery happened on January 10, 2026, in Dallas, just three months after Pooh’s early prison release. He had served three years of a 63-month sentence, which is 5 years and 3 months, after pleading guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge.
What Did Pooh Shiesty Allegedly Take From Gucci Mane?
Before we get to the material stuff, some might argue that Pooh Shiesty stole Gucci Mane’s sense of safety. Minutes after entering the recording studio building at 3:43 p.m., Pooh had asked the 1017 label owner for a private chat inside the recording room. Gucci agreed, stepping in there with his artist, Williams Sr. and Big30. Before long, Pooh Shiesty allegedly had a black AK-style pistol pointed at Gucci Mane, asking him to sign the release form twice, first with his name and then the missing date.
Meanwhile, Big30 was aiding in blocking the door and recording the contract signing. Amid the signing of the name and date, Pooh Shiesty allegedly robbed Gucci. For context, R.D. stands for Radric Delantic Davis—Gucci’s legal name.
“After the ‘release’ was signed, Williams Jr. (Pooh Shiesty) took R.D.’s (Gucci Mane)’s wedding ring, watch, earrings, and cash,” according to page 7 of the criminal complaint.

What Else Did The Co-Conspirators Allegedly Steal?
Gucci Mane had been at the studio with four other people. During the gunpoint signing, one security officer was in the rapper’s vehicle while the head of security, identified as C.W., was in the music studio lobby. Gucci’s other guests, identified as M.M. and B.P., were sitting in a room adjacent to the recording room with the six other co-conspirators.
As Gucci, Pooh Shiesty, Williams Sr. and Big30 exited the recording room, the rest of the crew allegedly pulled out handguns and/or AR/AK style pistols and demanded property from M.M. and B.P.
Terrance Rodgers, known as CMO Damn Foo, allegedly pushed B.P. onto a couch and searched his pockets, stealing his wallet. Darrion McDaniel, known as Glizzy 375, allegedly stole B.P.’s chain and a diamond ‘1017’ necklace. McDaniel made several threats to shoot B.P., but Pooh Shiesty allegedly instructed him not to, per the criminal complaint. Also, Demarcus Glover allegedly stole M.M.’s Rolex watch, a Louis Vuitton bag with high-end watches inside, Apple Airpod headphones and his wallet. M.M. reportedly said that all his property had Apple AirTags attached to it.
Meanwhile, Kordae Johnson and Kedarius Waters both allegedly had a firearm and held M.M. and B.P. at gunpoint during the robberies.
What Were The Injuries?
One of the co-conspirators allegedly choked M.M. from behind, causing him to almost lose consciousness. He suffered minor scratches on his wrist and neck.

No physical injuries to Gucci Mane are listed in the criminal complaint. However, the doc says the rapper believed someone was going to kill him. He was allegedly pushed onto a couch in the control room. Additionally, Pooh Shiesty placed the gun to the back of B.P.’s head. Then, he ordered him and Gucci Mane to leave the building through the west entrance. The whole ordeal lasted a little over an hour.
“As the Victims left, M.M. turned to Williams Jr. and asked
him if they were really taking his watches,” the criminal complaint says. “Based on later-recovered surveillance video footage, the Target Suspects left the studio and the office building through the east entrance at approximately 4:48 p.m.”

Candice King and Steven Krueger’s Relationship Timeline

Steven Krueger and Candice Accola Courtesy of Candice King/Instagram
Fans didn’t expect to see Candice King and Steven Krueger find love years after finding fame in The Vampire Diaries universe.
King rose to fame playing Caroline Forbes on TVD from 2009 to 2017. Krueger, meanwhile, played the role of Josh Rosza in The Vampire Diaries spinoff, The Originals. During her time on The CW series, King started dating Joe King. The couple, who got married in 2014, expanded their family with daughters Florence in 2016 and Josephine in 2020.
Us Weekly broke the news in May 2022 that King filed for divorce from King. She later started spending time with Krueger at TVD fan conventions and cast reunions.
In December 2023, King subtly launched her romance with Krueger on social media when she uploaded a video that included a clip of them kissing. King and Krueger have since offered glimpses into their romance.
Keep scrolling to relive King and Krueger’s relationship timeline:
April 2023

Krueger shared a group photo that included King in Us‘ Inside a Day in My Life feature.
“We’ve all moved on to new projects, but we still jump at the opportunity to catch up any chance we get,” he told Us alongside a snap of him sitting next to Accola at dinner alongside their other former costars, including The Originals’ Charles Michael Davis.
That same month, Krueger hinted at his plans for parenthood, telling 26 Magazine, “A family is definitely in my future, as well.”

“I’ve been dating. I am going to say that out loud. That feels very personal and new and interesting and super cool and casual to say out loud. But I have,” King said on an episode of her “Superbloom” podcast. “Not multiple people — only one. And I don’t even want to get into it.”
King hinted she had a “really nice person” in her life, adding, “This is not brand new. This is the most you are going to hear me talk about it. It is good. There’s a smile on my face and joy in my heart.”

“I think 38 just might be my favorite year yet 🎂 ♥️ A couple of weeks ago @stevenakrueger gave me the best gift of all when he asked me to marry him. The privilege of getting older is much sweeter knowing I get to share it with you Steven. Thank you for asking me to dance through life with you. And thank you to everyone for the kind birthday wishes,” King wrote via Instagram.
Months later in December, King revealed that she is pregnant with her first baby with Krueger.
February 2026
King and Krueger tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on February 28, according to Vogue.
“Walking down the little aisle, I remember hearing the soft sounds of live guitar being played by a friend of a friend that we’d never met, the flowers making this tiny wooden chapel feel like a fairytale greenhouse, and the warm glow of light on Steven’s face,” she recalled to the outlet in April. “We’d already done a first look at our house, but walking down the aisle in that warm glow of the magic hour felt like our own little secret. Like the rest of the world kept turning in chaos, and we had this small little nook of the world to ourselves. Time slowed down and felt like a love song.”

Geno Auriemma Apologizes to S.C. Staff Amid Dawn Staley Drama
UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma has issued an apology following a Final Four matchup against the University of South Carolina — but did not directly apologize to South Carolina coach Dawn Staley.
“There’s no excuse for how I handled the end of the game vs. South Carolina,” Auriemma said in a Saturday, April 4 statement shared via X. “It’s unlike what I do and what our standard is here at Connecticut.
He continued, “I want to apologize to the staff and the team at South Carolina. It was uncalled for in how I reacted. The story should be how well South Carolina played, and I don’t want my actions to detract from that. I’ve had a great relationship with their staff, and I sincerely want to apologize to them.”
After South Carolina defeated UConn, 62-48, in the Friday, April 3, Final Four game — ending UConn’s undefeated season — Auriemma approached Staley on the sideline and started talking to her in what originally seemed like the typical postgame interaction between coaches.
The discussion quickly went south, as Auriemma, 72, seemed to say something that upset Staley, 55. She responded accordingly, and the two legendary coaches had to be separated and guided back to their respective locker rooms.
“I will beat Geno’s a**,” Staley allegedly said after the incident, according to a video on social media.
Auriemma’s apology on Saturday notably did not include a direct mention of Staley, but rather the South Carolina “staff and the team.”

The 12-time NCAA champion claimed the interaction stemmed from a pregame moment, where he suggested that Staley did not participate in the traditional pregame handshake. Videos from before the game did, however, show the two shaking hands on the sideline.
In his postgame comments, Auriemma added that he and Staley “don’t have a lot in common,” but did credit Staley for building South Carolina into a women’s basketball powerhouse, saying that he has a “tremendous amount of respect” for Staley.
His frustrations were seemingly building throughout the game, blowing over in a sideline interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe after the third quarter.
“They’ve been beating the s*** out of our guys down there the entire game,” Auriemma said. “I’m not making excuses, because we haven’t been able to make a shot. But this is ridiculous.”
Staley, in her postgame press conference, refused to comment on the incident with Auriemma.
“You can ask Geno the question,” Staley said. “He’s the one that initiated the conversation. I don’t want what happened there to dampen what we were able to accomplish today.”

Amy Duggar Quotes on Joseph Duggar’s Child Molestation Arrest
Amy Duggar King has become one of the most vocal critics of cousin Joseph Duggar after his arrest on child molestation charges.
Joseph was arrested on March 18, 2026, for unlawful sexual activity with a minor after a 14-year-old girl accused the Counting On alum of molesting her in Florida in 2020. The victim told police that Joseph “eventually apologized for his actions” at the time and “the incidents stopped.”
Amy, for her part, told Us Weekly in a statement that she was “sickened, heartbroken and deeply angry” about the allegations.
“My first thoughts are with the victim, a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust,” she said at the time. “The courage it took for her to come forward, especially after years of carrying something so heavy, cannot be overstated.”
Two days after Joseph’s arrest, his wife, Kendra Duggar, was arrested on four counts of child endangerment that were unrelated to his misconduct allegations. She was released on bond on March 20, 2026. Two weeks later, Joseph was extradited to Florida, where the alleged crime took place, and entered a not guilty plea. He was released on $600,000 bail.

Amy Duggar Reacts to Kendra Duggar’s Arrest
Two days after Joseph Duggar’s arrest, his wife, Kendra Duggar, was also arrested. Both Joseph and Kendra are facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, second degree, and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. Kendra was released the same day on a $1,470 bond.
An insider with knowledge of the case exclusively told Us that Kendra’s arrest “has nothing to do with Joseph’s” child molestation case, and instead was the result of a subsequent home investigation.
Amy Duggar King had initially expressed prayers for Kendra, but later reversed course after her cousin-in-law’s arrest.
“I think that was a plot twist that no one saw coming,” Amy told TMZ. “When I gave that [first] statement … that was just the information I was given at the time and thought to be true. Now that the information has changed and there’s more that is coming out and there’s a lot of question marks right now.”

In an Instagram post, Amy Duggar King revealed she hadn’t “seen or heard” from Joseph Duggar in “about five years.”
“That doesn’t mean I didn’t still love him and want the best for him,” Amy wrote via her Instagram Stories in March 2026. “I don’t think people understand how much time I spent with them and countless hours filming. I grew up over there [at his parents’ house].”
She added, “I didn’t know Kendra extremely well, but I thought they made an adorable couple. I went to a ski resort with them once and shopped a little with Kendra. [She was] very sweet natured, and [I] just loved her.”
After Amy found out about Joseph’s arrest, she said that she texted Kendra.
“No response back,” she claimed. “That was before I knew anything of her being arrested.”
Amy Duggar Offers Support for Joseph Duggar’s Kids
Amy Duggar King shared an Instagram statement in March 2026, revealing that she has “no idea” where Joseph and Kendra’s four children are upon her cousins’ arrests.
“I just hope and pray they are being well taken care of and someone is holding them tight and that they are safe,” she wrote at the time. “Sadly, I’ve never met them, they do not know me. So l’d be a stranger to them.”
Amy Duggar Feels ‘Emotionally Exhausted’
Amy Duggar King initially took a break from social media after learning of Joseph Duggar’s arrest.
“Hey TikTok, it’s been a minute. I’ve taken a minute from videos and whatnot because I literally don’t even know what to say,” she said in a March 26, 2026, TikTok video. “I feel emotionally exhausted from all of this. It’s not about me, I know it’s not … but my heart hurts. I know I’m not the only one.”
She continued, “Joe was the last person that I expected. We’re all wanting answers right now. … He’s behind bars tonight. I cannot comprehend that.”
Amy Duggar Slams Joseph Duggar’s Jail Calls
After audio of Joseph Duggar’s phone calls from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas was released, Amy Duggar King offered pointed criticism.
At one point, Joseph told wife Kendra Duggar that he’d been “spending a lot of time reading, uh, reading the Bible” while in solitary confinement.
“The bible is not a PR strategy,” Amy responded in an Instagram post. “You can read scripture day and night, all the time, and still avoid the truth.”
When Joseph complained about lack of sleep in jail in a separate conversation, Amy responded bluntly, “Nobody cares. I bet the victim hasn’t slept in five years.”
Amy also criticized Joseph for calling Kendra “competent” during another call, saying in a TikTok video, “Last time I checked, marriage isn’t a performance review and she’s not your employee.”
