Taylor Swift’s wedding is already shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrity events of the decade, but fans may have another reason to stay glued to every update.
Fresh reports suggest the pop superstar won’t walk down the aisle in just one unforgettable bridal look.
Instead, insiders claim she’ll unveil multiple couture ensembles throughout the celebration, with subtle fashion choices from recent months now being viewed as possible clues about the designers she has secretly chosen for her big day with Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift is expected to make several fashion statements throughout her wedding festivities instead of relying on a single bridal gown.
According to a Daily Mail insider, the singer has prepared a staggering five separate outfit changes for the celebration.

Rather than debuting the gowns through a traditional magazine feature, reports suggest fans may see the images first on Swift’s own social media accounts.
With more than 273 million Instagram followers, she has a much larger audience than many fashion publications.
Although stars including Ariana Grande, Sofia Richie, and Jennifer Lopez have introduced their wedding dresses through Vogue, Swift’s close relationship with her devoted fanbase makes a direct reveal seem more fitting.
Swift’s Ralph Lauren History Fuels Wedding Dress Speculation

Among the biggest names linked to Taylor Swift’s wedding wardrobe is Ralph Lauren, a designer she has worn repeatedly over the years.
Recall that Swift was wearing a striped Ralph Lauren sundress when Kelce proposed on August 10, 2025.

According to reports, the outfit sold out almost immediately afterward. Now, fans believe that choice may have foreshadowed a future wedding collaboration.
The “Cruel Summer” singer has continued wearing Ralph Lauren in recent months, including a velvet scoop-neck dress during a June outing.
She has also embraced several pieces from the brand’s Olympic-inspired collection, including the Team USA Polo Bear T-shirt, Team USA jacket, and an American flag sweater.
Her connection to Lauren stretches back much further, having worn the label’s classic cashmere knitwear as far back as 2011 before returning to the brand again in 2025.

Taylor Swift’s Dior Clues Have Swifties Watching Closely
MEGA
Another designer generating enormous buzz is Jonathan Anderson, who now leads Dior.
Fans became convinced Swift was quietly dropping fashion hints after repeatedly carrying several of Dior’s signature handbags instead of her usual Louis Vuitton, Chanel, or Saint Laurent accessories.
The 36-year-old’s choice of the Small 30 Montaigne Avenue Top Handle Bag and the D-Journey Bag surprised longtime followers, who viewed the dramatic shift as another carefully planted Easter egg.
Fueling the rumors even further, The Hollywood Reporter cited industry insiders who reportedly identified Dior as the leading contender.
According to the publication, “well-placed sources say the winning dress — the dress that will likely transition Taylor Swift to Mrs. Travis Kelce — is a custom couture gown by Jonathan Anderson of Christian Dior.”

Some fans have also revisited Swift’s black Givenchy gown from the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony, wondering whether elements of that floral design could hint at the direction of her bridal style.
Swift Could Surprise Fans With One Of Her Favorite Designers
MEGA
While Ralph Lauren and Dior dominate the conversation, Taylor Swift reportedly has several additional possibilities available for her remaining outfit changes.
Some Swifties believe she could turn to Stella McCartney, whose friendship with the star spans years.
Others have pointed toward Monse after Swift wore a custom design by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia while performing at Tight End University.
Another favorite among fans is Clio Peppiatt. The Grammy Award winner previously celebrated her 34th birthday wearing the designer’s sparkling Lucina Dress before choosing another Peppiatt creation for New Year’s Eve festivities.

The dress became so closely associated with Swift that many fans purchased or rented similar designs while attending the Eras Tour.
An ivory bridal version of the Lucina Dress has only added to speculation that Peppiatt may play a role in Swift’s wedding wardrobe.
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Families Are Preparing For The Big Day

The attention surrounding the wedding extends well beyond the bride’s wardrobe.
According to another source, longtime stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer has been helping coordinate clothing for both families ahead of the ceremony.
Having worked alongside Swift since the beginning of her Nashville career, Falconer is reportedly overseeing custom fittings while some relatives borrow jewelry specially selected for the occasion.
Several family members have even traveled to New York for fittings before the celebration. Kelce’s own wedding attire remains a closely guarded secret.
Tommy Hilfiger has emerged as a possible choice after the NFL star previously modeled for the brand, while designer Tom Marchitelli believes another luxury label may ultimately prevail.
“A celebrity wedding of this magnitude has all the major fashion houses battling it out to see who can get their label on the three-time Super Bowl champ,” he explained
He predicts Kelce will choose “bespoke Louis Vuitton” and envisions him wearing “a classic black ‘slightly fuller-cut double-breasted tux, crisp white shirt, and black bow tie, finished off with a diamond lapel pin” as the couple celebrates one of the most anticipated weddings in recent celebrity history.
Deadline reported a while ago that Da’Vinchi had been cast in the show, playing a firefighter recruit named Marcus Burke. The character is described as “roguish and funny with a wry sense of humor; he’s also a little defiant.” The actor comes off a four-season run on Starz’s crime drama BMF, where he played real-life Detroit kingpin Terry “Southwest T” Flannery. He will also be seen in two of Tyler Perry‘s upcoming Netflix projects: the movie Why Did I Get Married Again? and the series Where’s the Smoke.
In celebration of joining the show, Da’Vinchi shared a behind-the-scenes look at his new character in an Instagram post. One of the images shared shows Burke wearing a black tee and the firehouse’s turnout gear, and in another, he is wearing a breathing mask while strolling on the set. The post attracted congratulatory messages from other actors, including Rome Flynn, who guest starred on the show for several episodes in Season 13. “It’s an incredible cast & crew bro 🤞🏾 be great !” Flynn commented on the post.

⚖️ Mayor of Kingstown
You are a Dutton — or you might as well be. You understand that some things are worth protecting at any cost, and that the modern world’s indifference to history, to land, to legacy, is not something you’re willing to accept quietly. You lead from the front, you carry your family’s weight without complaint, and when someone threatens what’s yours, you don’t escalate — you finish it. You’re not cruel. But you are absolute. In Yellowstone’s world, that combination of ferocity and loyalty doesn’t make you a villain. It makes you the only thing standing between everything that matters and everyone who wants to take it.

You thrive in the chaos of high-stakes negotiation, where the money is enormous, the margins are thin, and the wrong word in the wrong room can cost everyone everything. You’re a fixer — the person called when a situation is already on fire and needs someone with the nerve to walk into it. West Texas oil country rewards exactly what you are: sharp, adaptable, unsentimental, and absolutely clear-eyed about what people want and what they’ll do to get it. You’re not naive enough to think this world is fair. You’re smart enough to be the one deciding who it’s fair to.
You are a Dwight Manfredi — someone who has served their time, paid their dues, and arrived somewhere unexpected with nothing but their reputation and their wits. You adapt without losing yourself. You build loyalty through respect rather than fear, though you’re not above reminding people that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Tulsa King is for people who are still standing when everyone assumed they’d be finished — who find, in an unfamiliar place, that they’re more capable than the world gave them credit for. You don’t need a throne. You build one, wherever you happen to land.

You carry the weight of a system that is broken by design, and you do it anyway — because someone has to, and because you’re the only one positioned to do it without the whole thing collapsing. Mike McLusky’s world is for people who are comfortable operating where there are no good options, only less catastrophic ones. You speak every language: law enforcement, criminal, political, human. That fluency makes you invaluable and it makes you a target. You’ve made your peace with both. Mayor of Kingstown belongs to people who understand that keeping the peace is not the same as being at peace — and who do the job regardless.

Changes Are on the Horizon in ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 15
Departures are a common occurrence at the end of a season. Sometimes viewers learn early who is leaving, while other times it’s part of the story and kept under wraps. Details about Chicago Fire Season 15 might be scarce, but the show will see two major departures from behind and in front of the camera. After 15 years, longtime cast member Joe Minoso is leaving. He has played Joe Cruz since the show started. Meanwhile, showrunner Andrea Newman is also leaving. She started off as a co-executive producer in Season 1 before becoming a producer and later sole showrunner, a job that she has held for the past three seasons. Deadline also reported that co-executive producer Victor Teran will be stepping in as the new showrunner beginning Season 15. A change in showrunner does not significantly affect the story but can influence the direction it takes, for better or worse.
Chicago Fire returns on NBC on Wednesday, October 7. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Charissa Thompson looked glamorous at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding, but her sparkling gown came with a painful hidden cost. The Fox Sports broadcaster revealed that the sharp prongs securing the jewels on her dress repeatedly cut into her skin while she danced at the couple’s July 3 celebration inside Madison Square Garden. By the end of the evening, Thompson’s forearms were bleeding, and her boyfriend Steve Cundari’s expensive tuxedo had also sustained damage.
4MEGA
Thompson discussed the fashion disaster on Thursday’s episode of her “Calm Down” podcast with fellow sportscaster Erin Andrews, who also attended the wedding. The broadcaster wore a heavily embellished Valdrin Sahiti gown covered with individual gems. “The prongs were holding in all of the individual jewels,” Thompson recalled.
Although she loved the completed look, its weight and sharp hardware became increasingly uncomfortable as the night continued. “And the dress was super heavy and I loved the way it looked and everything. However, halfway through the night, I’m looking down and my forearms are bleeding. Bleeding,” she revealed.
The injuries apparently occurred while Thompson was dancing, as the repeated movement caused the sharp pieces of metal to rub against and cut her skin. She explained that the prongs were “slicing [her skin] open” throughout the celebration.
Gown Also Damaged Her Boyfriend’s Tuxedo
Thompson was not the only person affected by the elaborate dress. The jewels also repeatedly caught on Cundari’s tuxedo as the pair danced together. “Each prong would grab a little bit of his tuxedo,” Thompson explained. “You know when you get a run in [your] pantyhose? And that just pulls?”
The broadcaster joked that her entrepreneur boyfriend had been “excited about his tux,” making its condition by the end of the wedding particularly unfortunate. She acknowledged that she now owes him a replacement. “By the end of the night, I’m seeing these strings all over. My arms are bleeding. But it’s worth it!” Thompson said.
She described the damage as one of the “occupational hazards of getting on the dance floor in a dress that was not meant to get down like that [in].” Despite the discomfort, Thompson continued enjoying the reception rather than allowing the wardrobe problem to end her evening.
Thompson said she and Andrews “were very, very mindful” while deciding what to wear to Swift and Kelce’s wedding. The women were also “very much concerned about how the dresses would hold up” throughout the ceremony and reception.
Andrews ultimately selected a backless black Gucci halter gown that avoided the sharp embellishments responsible for Thompson’s injuries. “Your back looked great,” Thompson told her co-host. “You don’t wear that dress if you haven’t down some back exercises, some pulldowns.”
Both women earned attention for their wedding fashion, although only Thompson ended the night with cuts on her arms and an unexpected bill for a damaged tuxedo.
The gown disaster did not diminish Thompson’s opinion of the wedding. She and Andrews agreed that Swift and Kelce’s ceremony was “magical,” with Thompson saying the celebration served as a powerful reminder about finding the right partner.
“Watching them get married, I’m like, when you find your person, everything else in the world is right,” Thompson said. “That night and that weekend really was a reminder that you can have everything in the world. And if you don’t have the person to share it with, then it’s not worth anything,”
Thompson then addressed the newlyweds directly. “So congratulations to both of you. Thank you for including us in your special weekend. We love you both so much,” she said.
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Romance Began In The NFL Spotlight
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement the previous summer after dating publicly for nearly two years. Their romance first became public when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, 2023. She watched from a VIP suite before leaving the stadium with Kelce following the Chiefs’ victory.
Swift subsequently became a regular presence at Chiefs games when her Eras Tour schedule allowed. She even traveled from Japan to Las Vegas to watch Kelce win the Super Bowl. Kelce returned that support by attending numerous Eras Tour performances across multiple continents, including shows in South America, Australia, Asia, Europe and North America. He also made an onstage cameo during one of Swift’s London concerts.
The relationship eventually culminated in their Madison Square Garden wedding, which brought together approximately 1,000 relatives, friends and celebrities.

“Big Brother” Season 28 houseguest Kamu Kirk is facing calls for his removal after an old Instagram video resurfaced showing him joking about George Floyd while recording another person’s arrest. The 32-year-old MMA fighter filmed the December incident outside his residence as officers struggled to place an unidentified person into a police vehicle. When the individual repeatedly yelled that they could not breathe, Kirk invoked Floyd’s name while smiling and narrating the arrest. The clip has now fueled questions about how thoroughly CBS reviewed Kirk’s social media history before casting him on the reality competition.
ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA
Kirk, whose full name is Gabriel Xavier Kamuela Kirk, recorded the video while walking away from the scene. The face of the person being arrested was not shown, but they could be heard screaming, “I can’t breathe!” as officers attempted to get them inside a vehicle.
Kirk chuckled and noted that other bystanders appeared to be cheering on the arrest. “He’s saying, ‘I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe,’” Kirk narrated, before then making the comment that ignited the current backlash. “Bro thinks he’s George Floyd,” Kirk joked. “People are crazy, man. I’m going back inside.”
Before ending the recording, Kirk smiled and added, “I am gonna take that spot, though,” apparently referring to the parking space previously occupied by the person being arrested.
According to the Daily Mail, the video remained available through Kirk’s Instagram highlights as of Thursday night.
Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, was murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in May 2020. He repeatedly said that he could not breathe while Chauvin pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck for nearly 10 minutes during an arrest. Video of the killing sparked widespread protests against police brutality and racial injustice across the United States and around the world.
‘Big Brother’ Viewers Question CBS Casting Process
Fans quickly began demanding that producers remove Kirk from the competition. Some questioned whether CBS examined his public social media activity before selecting him for Season 28.
Others theorized that his controversial online presence may have made him more appealing to reality television producers seeking a cast member capable of generating conflict. “People shocked Kamu was cast for ‘Big Brother’ after his controversial IG posts. The casting team probably recruited him b/c of that!” one viewer speculated.
There is no evidence that producers selected Kirk because of the posts, and CBS has not explained what its background-checking process revealed before filming began.
The outrage surrounding the George Floyd video prompted viewers to search through Kirk’s other posts and interactions. Screenshots circulated that appeared to show Kirk liking content from users who identified themselves as Christian nationalists and advocated for the United States to become a Christian-ruled country. Other images seemingly showed him liking right-wing posts containing criticism of Islam and Muslims.
Social media likes can signal approval, but they do not necessarily provide complete context for someone’s personal beliefs. Kirk has not addressed the screenshots or explained why he interacted with the content.
Fans also resurfaced a photograph of the U.S. Capitol from Kirk’s Instagram highlights. “Who’s storming with me?” Kirk captioned the image.
Several viewers interpreted the post as expressing support for the pro-Trump attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. However, the supplied material did not indicate when Kirk posted the photograph or provide additional context establishing what he intended by the caption.
Frankie Grande Demands Kirk’s Removal
Steven Bergman/AFF-USA.COM / MEGA
Frankie Grande, who previously competed on “Big Brother,” became one of the most prominent voices demanding action. The openly gay singer and actor initially condemned Kirk over a separate conversation inside the house that he believed was homophobic.
“Um. What the f-ck is this horses?! Get these homophobic bigots out of the fing house IMMEDIATELY. Both of them,” Grande wrote on X. “Ew this conversation makes me sick to my stomach. I’m disgusted. This better be the biggest thing ever when I wake up tomorrow or I’m flipping a table… f-ck. Ew. Gross.”
Grande later reposted the resurfaced George Floyd clip and renewed his call for Kirk to be removed. “You guys. Enough. How is this monster still in the house. WHAT THE F-CK?!” he wrote.
As of now, CBS had not announced plans to discipline or remove Kirk from the “Big Brother” house.
Filming on season 3 of Taylor Sheridan‘s Landman is expected to start soon — but there has been a delay.
James Jordan recently spoke exclusively to Us at the Lioness premiere about reuniting with Sheridan on Landman, saying, “It’s going to be fantastic. Taylor is writing as we speak. It’s going to be 10 crazy, wonderful, funny and wild episodes — just like season 1 and season 2 have been. Billy Bob and everybody, we’re all ready to get back to work.”
“I believe we’re bringing back the same director, Stephen Kay, who I adore. So it’s going to be a great ride,” Jordan noted. “We start that sometime in September and we’ll shoot that through the first quarter of next year.”
Taylor Sheridan‘s hit series Landman was renewed for season 3 — but which stars are and aren’t returning after that shocking firing? Inspired by the “Boomtown” podcast series, Landman is focused on the West Texas oil industry with a specific focus on crisis executive Tommy Norris and his family. The Paramount+ show, which premiered in […]
He continued: “Then we should have it out … I don’t know when. It’s up to the powers that be, but we’re very excited to get started on that.”

Based on the “Boomtown” podcast, Landman joins the ranks of Sheridan’s hits including Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lawmen: Bass Reeves and more. The Paramount+ series, which premiered in 2024, introduced Billy Bob Thornton as a corporate fixer working for an oil titan in a West Texas-set drama with life-and-death stakes.

Landman was expected to go back into production in August. According to Jordan, the entire cast is expected back.
“No, I would not be concerned [about my future on the show],” he added. “I don’t know everything, but I would not be concerned.”
Jordan teased how thrilled the cast was to start working on season 3 soon, adding, “Everybody’s very excited to get back to work. It’s going to be a great time. We’re pumped to get back to the Fort Worth area and shoot season 3.”
The Landman cast has often spoken about their experiences working with Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan on his new hit series. Sheridan’s work started in front of the camera before he transitioned to writing credits on Sicario, Hell or High Water and Wind River. From there, Sheridan created Yellowstone, which broke records at Paramount Network. The hit […]
“I’ve got the season 3 script. It was sent to me right in this phone,” he shared. “I will guard it with my life. But I snuck a quick peek. I really have to read it later, but it’s going to be amazing.”

As one of Sheridan’s frequent collaborators, Jordan is also looking forward to season 3 of Lioness being released on Sunday, August 2.
“I can’t say no to the man. He’s my favorite writer in our business. I admire him. He’s a mentor. He’s a friend,” Jordan gushed to Us. “No one works harder than Taylor. He never compromises. And when someone comes to you and says, ‘Hey man, I want to use you again in a project.’ If someone works that hard and comes to you and says, ‘I trust you, I believe in you, I’m confident in your ability,’ then you show up. You want to work your butt [off] for him.”
“You want to get it right. You want to tell the story the way he wants to tell the story. I love going to work for him,” he added. “So he’s an extraordinary guy.”
Lioness returns to Paramount+ on Sunday, August 2.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have yet to release official photographs from their July 3 wedding, but Joe Buck is painting a vivid picture of the emotional ceremony. The sportscaster attended the couple’s star-studded Madison Square Garden nuptials and has now revealed how Kelce reacted to seeing Swift walk down the aisle. According to Buck, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was already overwhelmed while watching his nieces enter the venue, and completely lost his composure when his bride finally appeared.
5ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA
However, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s unusually lengthy vows were among the moments that made the strongest impression on him. “They were funny,” Buck said.
He then elaborated on the emotional range of the couple’s words. “Their vows were long. They were really well written. They were funny. They were sweet. They were emotional,” he recalled.
Travis Kelce Became A ‘Puddle’ Before Taylor Swift Appeared
Kelce’s emotional reaction began before Swift made her entrance. “Travis was a puddle watching his nieces come down the little ramp that they built, and then, you know, when she walked out, he was a puddle,” Buck shared.
Another source echoed this sentiment, telling NBC News, “You would think the bride would be the one crying more, but it was actually Travis that was more emotional.” The NFL star reportedly appeared “nervous” during the ceremony but “kept it together” when it was time to make his promises to Swift.
According to a separate report, Kelce teared up while watching the singer approach him. Swift later became emotional when he “promised to protect her forever.”
The intimate exchange took place before more than 1,000 guests gathered inside Madison Square Garden. Both Swift and Kelce wore Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson for the ceremony.
George Stephanopoulos offered a similar assessment after witnessing Swift and Kelce exchange their vows. “Vows, everything you would hope for, real, vulnerable, serious and silly. Deeply loving,” the “Good Morning America” anchor said.
The consistency between the guests’ accounts offers one of the clearest pictures yet of the private ceremony, which attendees were reportedly prohibited from recording on their phones. That restriction has kept legitimate photographs and footage from reaching the public nearly one month after the wedding. Instead, Swifties have been forced to piece together the celebration through carefully shared anecdotes from those invited.
Maren Morris Felt Honored To Witness The Couple’s Love
Maren Morris was also among the 1,000 people who watched Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce say “I do.” The country singer described how the lengthy vows allowed attendees to see a more private side of their relationship.
“It just felt like you really got a closer look into their love for each other and their sense of humor,” Morris told PEOPLE. “Being one of 1,000 people that witnessed that, it was an honor. [The best part was] just celebrating their love for each other.”

Brad Pitt Mixed With Travis Kelce’s High School Connections
For Jason Kelce, one of the most memorable elements was the unusual combination of famous guests and people connected to the couple’s earlier lives.
“My favorite moments were just the different people that are at this wedding, right? Like, in one moment, I’m going (from) seeing Brad Pitt pop out of a corner and talking to him, and then in the next moment, I’m seeing Mrs. Clark who ran the attendance at Cleveland Heights High School,” he shared.
Jason also spoke out about Adam Sandler officiating the wedding and explained why the comedian was a natural choice for the responsibility. “Obviously, he’s hilarious, and he knows how to make it entertaining and funny, but there’s a sweetness to Adam in everything he does, all of his movies, that really resonated throughout,” Jason explained.
After the ceremony, the couple reportedly moved away from a traditional reception structure and held an enormous party for their relatives and friends.
Nolan Wells’ name continues to remain at the center of online conversation as new developments surrounding the case keep surfacing. This time, the focus has shifted to a new fundraiser created to support several of his alleged friends. Organizers say the group has faced heavy online backlash and threats since his death.
Support Campaign Backs Nolan Wells’ Alleged Friends
A fundraiser created by Benjamin Hudson, with funds set to be received by Taylor and Cox Law Firm, P.A., was recently launched to support Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, Morgan Seymour, and others connected to Nolan Wells. According to the fundraiser, the group has endured harassment, death threats, doxxing, and defamation since Nolan’s death, with organizers claiming the young men have been “falsely and wrongly blamed” online and in the media despite cooperating with investigators. The page also alleges that some of Nolan’s friends were unable to attend his funeral. Organizers say safety concerns tied to the backlash prevented them from being there.
Wells’ Friends Fight Back Against Alleged False Claims
The fundraiser states that its goal is twofold: to help cover legal expenses related to any potential wrongful death lawsuits filed by attorney Benjamin Crump and his team, and to fund legal action against individuals and organizations the organizers accuse of spreading defamatory statements. However, the page argues that the campaign is not intended to silence differing opinions. Rather, organizers say the campaign aims to address what they describe as targeted harassment, false claims, and intimidation. They also say the effort seeks to push back against misinformation surrounding the case.
Support Campaign Passes $62K Milestone
As of now, the fundraiser has raised $62,362 toward its $100,000 goal. Organizers are asking supporters who believe in “truth, due process, and…the rule of law” to donate. Furthermore, they say the effort is meant to help those they believe have been unfairly targeted. They claim this comes amid the ongoing conversation surrounding Nolan Wells’ death.
Inflation and gas prices are a bit like the teachers you had in grade school – they’re stubborn AF.
Tubi is stubborn, too – it’s one of the few streamers out there that’s been completely free for years, even after competitors like Netflix and HBO Max raised their prices.
More importantly, the streamer’s library is filled with hits from the distant past and present.
That’s especially true in August, when Tubi is adding such blockbusters as the first three Mission: Impossible movies with Tom Cruise, the original Ghost Rider film with Nicolas Cage (take that, Ryan Gosling) and the classic ABC TGIF sitcom, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.

Spoiler Alert: This list contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.The newest installment in the Tom Holland Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is finally here, and it is considered the best of the franchise. This fourth Spidey production in the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t just a great film, but it is a gigantic treat for any fan of the Wall-Crawler’s comic book mythology.
It’s more than clear that Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton love the source material, and that not only shows through the quality of the movie, but also in the cameos they include. There are plenty of characters in this project that are not only references to classic niche Spidey villains, but also other MCU characters and notable actors in the industry.

Cindy Moon

Comic book fans know the one and only Cindy Moon as one of the newer additions to the Marvel Comics Spider-Family, Silk. However, many may not realize that the character actually is part of the MCU, first introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and surprisingly makes a return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
When Peter Parker attends the university being taught by Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) at Empire State University, Cindy happens to be in the class and gets a little featured moment. This is an incredibly small cameo, but it’s interesting that, of all Peter’s old classmates to find themselves in the project, they chose Cindy… Who knows, a Silk project was in the works for a while, so this could be some subliminal messaging from Sony and Marvel Studios.

Ramrod

Right off the bat, when Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins, a montage kicks off that depicts where Peter has been in the four years since Spider-Man: No Way Home. During this, fans of the Spider-Man comic books get to see some quick recreations of classic books from the hero’s mythology, which includes some niche villains.
Even some fans of the source material might not know who Ramrod (Billy Clements) is, and no one would blame them for it. For one quick moment, Spidey fans get to see the recreation of Amazing Spider-Man #221 (1981) — an iconic and memorable Ramrod cover. This is just one of a good couple of comic book cover recreations, and it’s a very fun one. It’s one thing to utilize bigger foes in a sequence like this, but giving some attention to the smaller players is abundantly respectable. Everyone knows Scorpion, but who knows Ramrod? That’s right, no one.

Tarantula

Another Spider-Man villain that is smaller and may not be known by a few is Tarantula. Within the opening montage, Cretton brings the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #134 (1974) to the screen. Anton Miguel Rodriquez is a classic foe who, in the original appearance, was a very political character. Creator Gerry Conway (may he rest in peace) cited the political upheavals in South America during the 1970s as part of the inspiration for the character.
With a history like this, it’s fun that the director decided to introduce him to the MCU and bring some variety in for the enemies of the movie universe. The Tarantula mantle would go on to be carried on by a few others throughout the years, so he has a more prominent role in the books than the likes of Ramrod, making this a special appearance for the smaller number of fans of him.

Sheila Rivera
Spider-Man Brand New Day Kingpin Wilson FiskImage via Sony Pictures Releasing
After the events of Daredevil: Born Again — where Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) was finally arrested and lost his position as mayor — someone needed to take up the mantle of the leader of New York City, and Sheila Rivera (Zabryna Guevara) was perfect. Acting only in the television series before this, the newest Spider-Man movie is her first MCU cinema appearance.
When it’s quickly shown that Spider-Man received the key to the city, the one to give it to him is Rivera herself. When Fisk was arrested, she became acting mayor, and it’s cool to see that was still the case in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. With people pretty much begging to see more street-level heroes in the world of the Web-Slinger, it’s a treat to see another character aside from Punisher (Jon Bernthal) from Daredevil: Born Again appear.

“The Boyfriend”
MJ (Zendaya) and her boyfriend (Eman Esfandi) together in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’Image via Sony Pictures Releasing
After appearing as the fan-favorite Star Wars character, Ezra Bridger, in the Disney+ streaming series Ahsoka, actor Eman Esfandi became a lot more well-known to general geekdom. Only appearing once, Esfandi plays Michelle Jones-Watson’s (Zendaya) new boyfriend, who brings a lot of emotional conflict for Peter Parker. It causes him so much distress that he goes for a swing and falls a little too far before thwipping another web, making it pretty obvious how much hurt he’s feeling.
A lot of people assumed that if Cretton and co. were going to bring Esfandi in to play a character, he’d be a lot more of an important role, but the actor makes a pretty small appearance. So small, in fact, that he doesn’t even get a name in the credits. One can only hope that, moving forward, “The Boyfriend” becomes more of an important character, bringing more emotional conflict to the story between Michelle and Peter. He could be a great antagonistic figure in the next project, with Michelle possibly being part of a future love triangle between the three.

Boomerang

One of the goofiest and most fun smaller Spider-Man villains is the one and only Boomerang. Recently, the boomerang-wielding baddie had a great role in the main plot of Amazing Spider-Man (2018), in which Peter has to actually be a roommate to the classic Spidey villain. While he is commonly treated as a joke — his role in Amazing Spider-Man (2018) was hilarious—he can also be a very dangerous guy who has, on occasion, given the hero a run for his money.
This is another character that gets a one-shot moment in the opening montage, but is a special treat for readers who have been invested in the Wall-Crawler for a while. This almost makes one wish that they could have given a little more action to the blue-clad bad guy. Maybe one day in the future, right, Kevin Feige? With the fifth Spider-Man movie hopefully on the way soon, Boomerang is a potential villain who could be considered for the next rogues roster.

Tombstone
Tombstone getting arrested by Captain Stacy in Spectacular Spider-ManImage via Sony Pictures Television
While the web-swinging Wall-Crawler has a long history of fighting the New York City underground crime ring, which is primarily led by Wilson Fisk, one of his other crime lord baddies, Tombstone — played by Marvin Jones III in Spider-Man: Brand New Day — is extremely underrated. Being a main antagonist inthe legendary The Spectacular Spider-Man television show, fans really enjoy this tough-as-nails crime boss who’s got a strong grip on the underworld of New York City.
He gets a cameo — which is longer than most of the other villains in the montage — at the top of the film, where he and Spidey trade a couple of lines of dialogue with each other. Spider-Man fans have said for quite some time that if he isn’t going to face Kingpin in the MCU, they should bring in Tombstone. Finally, they have, and they’d be smart to bring him back in the future, especially with an acting titan like Marvin Jones III. With Fisk in jail now, he also may be the only option, at least for the time being. He’s a bit stronger than the other crime lord, as well, with nearly impenetrable skin, making him an extremely difficult foe to face on a physical level. A toe-to-toe confrontation was hinted at in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but if fans and general audiences get lucky enough, they’ll actually get to see a confrontation in the future — so long as they go and greenlight another Spidey movie.

Yelena Belova
Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) has become a total fan-favorite ever since she was introduced in Black Widow and then became even more of a main character in 2025’s Thunderbolts*. Peter and Yelena are, in some ways, very similar, and a crossover between them was a great idea. While their two interactions in the movie aren’t super long, they have some great interactions, and their dynamic is perfect.
This also really hones in on the fact that Spidey is far more street-level now, with the New Avengers leader considering Peter’s issues as “small potatoes”. It’s also a real treat to see that the young hero still has some connections with the big dogs in The Avengers. Yelena’s two cameos are such a fun time, and not only that, but they also convey some extremely important information within the plot, making them not just moments for a giggle or two, but genuinely integral inclusions.
