Young and Restless Early Spoilers May 18-22: Nick Turns Murderous & Audra Fully Exposed!
Young and the Restless early weekly spoilers for May 18th – 22nd thrill with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) plotting some premeditated murder with a cop as his sidekick. Plus, Audra Charles‘ (Zuleyka Silver) dirty, dark LA secret is going to spill out at last.
And as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to start with what happens the rest of this week before we dive into next week’s action. So, let’s do it.
Wednesday, May 13th
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) tells Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Nate she’ll leave for New York. This is on the Wednesday, May 13th episode. She’s going up for Malcolm Winters‘ (Shemar Moore) surgery as soon as Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) does his donation of the bone marrow in Genoa City. Lily has some medical questions for Nate about the risk to Cane from the surgery, but Devon doesn’t care about what happens to Cane and he’s openly mocking.
Lily says that Cane’s arrest scared her, but he promised to jump bail to donate if it came to it. Devon is not impressed and Nate of course sides with Devon. But Lily says Cane is helping Malcolm, but Devon insists it’s just about Lily. And Devon gripes that Cane didn’t even pay for any of the bad things he’s done.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily Encourages Devon
Lily thinks Devon is acting out because he’s mad at Mariah for not paying for her crime. And Devon admits he is annoyed. Plus, Abby’s attitude is also bothering him. Devon gripes about there not being justice and he’s really upset that Dominic wants to see Mariah. Lily encourages Devon to go see Mariah and start healing. And then Lily asks Nate and Devon to keep Cane in their thoughts as he goes through his procedure. And Lily leaves. Devon tells Nate he thinks Cane is a problem and he hopes Lily doesn’t bring Cane back into their lives.
Meanwhile, Nick is still acting off and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) flat out asks Nick if he’s back on pills. He sidesteps Adam’s question and Nick asks instead where would he even get drugs since they were just in the park looking for Matt Clark (Sean Dominic). He offers to let Adam search him, which is funny because we know Nick took his last pill while they were in the park. Adam wants to be there, but Nick says he’s stressed about Matt and is hangry. And Nick says he has a plan for Matt, and that is to kill him. Adam doesn’t want Nick to wind up in prison.
And basically, Nick’s plan is to provoke Matt knowing he’ll go nuts, and then Detective Burrow can be there and Nick can kill him and the cop can see it’s in self-defense. So, he tells Adam, “Step back. I’ll take it from here.” And Nick is surprised that Adam’s objecting because he is morally flexible, morally gray. And he tells Nick, just let the Newman security team handle it. And he gets mad and he storms out on Adam.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Search for Matt
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), meanwhile, updates Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman and says the search for Matt is ongoing. And Noah tells Victor that Matt didn’t recognize Audra and he thinks the amnesia is real. And that gives them the upper hand on Matt, and Victor actually agrees. Sharon though thinks the cops should handle it, but Victor says no, it’s up to them.
Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) talks to Matt at Crimson Lights about growing up in Genoa City and brags that she once dated Danny Romalotti. He has no idea who that is. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) storms over, interrupts, calls Patty a liar, and she takes off, but first tells Matt they should talk later.
Then Matt asks Phyllis why she’s always fighting with people. She says she has enemies and tells Matt a whole bunch of Patty’s past crimes. Matt talks about not remembering your crimes and says people hate him, too. Phyllis hates Patty and then Matt asks her about her argument with Cane that he saw. Matt asks if she’s a grudge holder and likes bad boys.
And then Matt tells Phyllis he remembers he’s from Los Angeles. So she starts grilling Matt about why he came to Genoa City, and Phyllis advises him to avoid Patty. And then Matt invites Phyllis to dinner, but says he lost his wallet, so she has to pay. And then he mentions these guys, Noah and Victor, that hate him, and they told him his name is Matt Clark, and he asks if Phyllis knows him. Her jaw drops.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Making Sense of Matt’s Plans
Adam tells Victor that Nick was getting twitchy and then left, and he suspects his brother is already back on pills. Amazingly, Victor thinks that Nick should go to rehab. Adam says Nick wants to murder Matt with Detective Burrow there to say it’s self-defense. Victor and Adam agree that Nick needs to be on the sidelines.
Sharon’s happy to see Nick when he shows up at the house and she says Noah wants to go after Matt. Nick is in agreement, but says he’ll go with Burrow and that Noah can’t come along because it’s dangerous. Nick explains his whole self-defense murder plan, which Noah loves, but Sharon hates, and she says Nick needs to focus on his recovery and let security handle it, but he won’t back down and says it’s fine if he goes to prison.
Thursday, May 14th
Thursday, May 14th, Phyllis sets up a trap. I assume it’s about Victor, and I do wonder if it involves Matt Clark since she knows where he is, and she knows how much the Newmans want him taken down. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) asks Phyllis if she’s going to give up Newman Enterprises to avoid criminal charges.
But Phyllis claims to have a better plan on Young and the Restless. Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) turns things around on Patty. And of course, she desperately wants Jack back, and he wants to ruin Victor. So, I wonder if Patty will do what Jack wants. Victor gives Nick some much-needed tough love on Thursday. Victor wants him in rehab. Yay to that. But I bet Nick is going to be mad and accuse Adam and Victor of ganging up on him and refuses to go.

Friday, May 15th
Friday, May 15th, we have got Nick in danger when he makes a deal. And I’m presuming it’s the drug deal because Nick is going to buy a baggie of pills from a dealer in the park. Adam already suspects Nick is back on fentanyl. And I’m sure the rest of the family is going to realize very soon that he has indeed relapsed.
Cane is stunned by Lily. Maybe she kisses Cane for donating bone marrow before she takes off to go to New York City to be with Malcolm. Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) and Holden Novak‘s (Nathan Owens) bond grows in New York after they spend some time with his mom, Stephanie. And of course, Holden is very worried about Malcolm’s treatment. I do wonder if the sparks will fade once Holden tells Claire the big Audra LA secret.
Week of May 18th-22nd
Then the week of May 18th through the 22nd, we’re going to have a big early week because the last day of May sweeps is Wednesday, May 20th. And I expect Nick’s relapse to worsen and Matt’s memories to return very soon. They’re already starting to kind of filter into his brain. Malcolm is due back soon on our screens, I’m assuming, for these New York transplant scenes.
Jack gets to work manipulating Patty and we should see Claire demanding the truth from Holden since he promised her if she came to New York he’d tell her all about Audra in Los Angeles. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are excited about the baby but still worried he might face consequences. Cane and Lily get closer after his and Malcolm’s procedure once she is back home.
And Phyllis works hard to avoid prison at all cost. Victor is busy dealing with Nick, chasing Matt, and still pressuring Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) to put Cane and Phyllis behind bars. Adam worries about Nick, and we’ll get more scenes with handsome Matt Cohen as Detective Burrow. Look to see if Crazy Patty circles back to Matt. Also, look for recast Jill Abbott for five episodes starting June 25th. She’ll be played by Days of Our Lives actress Lauren Koslow.

Netflix’s Newest Crime Thriller Officially Arrives in 1 Day
For fans of crime dramas, the 2014 Starz series Power remains one of the best. The series blends together a world of struggle, law enforcement, murder, and romance to deliver an exhilarating viewing experience. Power has been so successful that it has spawned three successful spin-offs so far, with more planned in the near future. Now, Netflix is tapping into that aspect that makes the universe feel electric with enigmatic leads, action, and beautiful sets.
The streamer ordered Nemesis, a Power-esque drama series from the original Power co-creator Courtney A. Kemp. The series is set in Los Angeles and follows two men, Cortane Wilder (Y’Ian Noel) and Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Lamb), on opposite sides of the law, whose drive could kill them both. While the Power universe focuses on the drug trade across American cities, Nemesis is about a different kind of crime. Wilder is an expert criminal specializing in high-stakes heists, while Stiles is a seasoned detective. Nemesis is about crime, stopping it, family, and ambition. One cannot be separated from the others.
Viewers can expect those classic Power qualities that have made the franchise a success — smart criminals, obsessed detectives, trapped spouses, and, of course, the unseen moves. “I love cat-and-mouse chases,” Kemp said in an interview. “They’re not easy to write because you really have to believe that both people have a shot.” Nemesis is a two-man show as Wilder and Stiles engage in a dance that, if someone didn’t know better, would think they’re soulmates, obsessed with each other. But no, they’re nemesis and feed on each other in a manner that could lead to their destruction. The series, co-created by Tani Marole, also stars Michael Potts, Gabrielle Dennis, Jeff Pierre, Domenick Lombardozzi, Cleopatra Coleman, and more.
What Is the Current Status of the ‘Power’ Universe?
Meanwhile, the Power universe is still going strong, even with the conclusion of several shows. The flagship series concluded in 2020; Power Book II in 2024; Power Book III is expected to end this year; and Power Book IV concluded earlier this year. However, Starz has another series, Power: Origins, in the works. The series focuses on Ghost and Tommy’s early days before they became the men viewers met in the 2014 series. The series has already cast its leads, with Spencer Moore II as James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Charlie Mann as Tommy Egan.
All episodes of Nemesis Season 1 hit Netflix globally on May 14. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Toosii’s Fiancée Sparks Buzz With Post-Marriage Living Preference
Toosii’s fiancée Samaria J Davis has the internet in a tizzy after revealing that she would rather live separately once they get married. Samaria responded to a viral post on social media and made it clear that although she loves her man down and always dreamed of marriage, she still wants her own space.

Toosii’s Fiancée Wants To Say “I Do,” But Not To Shared Living
Okay, so BOOM! Recently, Samaria J Davis dropped a message on X (formerly Twitter) telling her followers that she can’t wait to walk down the aisle and become a wife, but when it comes to living together after marriage, she’s not with that at all!
“I love my man and I wanna be married to one person forever, but I don’t want to share a room with a man or live with a man lmao idk how to explain this,” Samaria wrote.
Then, when My Mixtapez shared her message, she seemingly doubled down on wanting her space by saying she would only let her man come out to eat once a day. “Yes and I also make him stand in a corner and he can only come out to eat once a day.”
Mario Enters The Chat As Social Media Pops OFF Over Samaria Reveals Her Ideal Marriage Setup
After TSR shared Samaria’s post, the comment section was flooded with reactions. Mario stepped into The Shade Room and weighed in too. The singer said he understands that people need space, but he still appreciates quality time.
“I get the space is needed sometimes… Me and my shorty be in separate parts of the house sometimes and then we see each other and it’s like Damn, I have seen you all day, is the baby sleep yet?! 😏 💦”
The Roommates were divided. Some agreed with Samaria and said wanting to live separately is completely normal, while others argued that people want the perks of marriage without putting in the work to maintain it.
Instagram user @brookeataylor123 wrote, “Sadly, many people want the benefits of covenant without surrendering to the structure that sustains it.”
instagram user @provokemyhips wrote, “Idk I agree with her, I like my space 😩”
While Instagram user @dontasktolinkagain wrote, “This is real 😂 like sometimes I wanna be alone.”
Then Instagram user @hunitdaysofsummer wrote, “Lowkey…that’s the secret to longevity.”
Another Instagram user @javen.elizabeth wrote, “I felt this with a passion 😂”
Instagram user @_yonnnaa wrote, “My grandparents have been married 60 years & they have separate bedrooms. What’s the problem?”
Then another Instagram user @thejasfx wrote, “Idk I feel like ppl who say this don’t really like their spouse. Allowing for space is one thing…but separate houses or rooms? Like what we doing fr….”
While another Instagram user @carley_quinn_ wrote, “I think something wrong with me because I want my own space but if he not with me every night tha tdon’t sit right with me 😩😭”
Lastly, Instagram user @_boobmiles wrote, “This is normal and it need to be normalized more. I bet their relationship last a lot longer and don’t feel old fast!”
More About Toosii & Samaria’s Relationship
Fans seemed to have a lot of opinions on Samaria’s living preference since she and Toosii are engaged. Back in September 2025, the couple announced their engagement with romantic photos on Instagram. The pics showed Samaria flexing a huge rock on her finger, while other shots captured them posing under the sunset near a rose-filled setup with the words “Marry Me.” As of right now, the couple hasn’t revealed when they plan to officially tie the knot, but they are already in family mode as they have two children together — son Ezrah and a daughter Aliza.

Matthew Perry’s Death Investigation: A Complete Timeline
Two months after Matthew Perry died at age 54 in October 2023, his death was ruled an accident. But that ruling proved to be far from the end of the story.
A December 2023 toxicology report concluded that Perry died from “the acute effects of ketamine.” The report noted that Perry had been receiving regular ketamine infusions to treat depression and anxiety, but his last infusion had taken place more than a week before his death. The discrepancy left room for questions about how and why Perry had ketamine in his system when he died.
In May 2024, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they had opened an investigation into Perry’s death. Three months later, five individuals — Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Jasveen Sangha, Kenneth Iwamasa, Erik Fleming and Dr. Mark Chavez — were hit with varying federal charges, including conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death.
Keep scrolling for a complete timeline of the investigation of Perry’s death, including the punishments for some who played a role in the actor’s passing:
September 30, 2023
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly in August 2024, “after learning” that Perry “was interested in obtaining ketamine,” Plasencia allegedly contacted Chavez about purchasing the drug “so that he could sell the ketamine” to the actor. The docs also alleged that Plasencia texted Chavez, “I wonder how much this moron will pay” for the substance.
After Chavez sold Plasencia, a licensed physician, “at least four vials of liquid ketamine, ketamine lozenges,” syringes and gloves, the docs alleged that Plasencia left the drug with Perry’s former personal assistant Iwamasa and taught him how to inject ketamine so he could administer it to Perry.
October 2, 2023

Iwamasa sent Plasencia a text message requesting to purchase additional vials of ketamine.
That same day, Plasencia texted Chavez asking for more ketamine to sell to Perry.
October 8-10, 2023
Plasencia sold numerous vials of ketamine to Iwamasa, and met with both him and Perry at several locations, including Long Beach, California, where Plasencia allegedly injected Perry with the substance while they were in a car.
The docs also stated that on October 10, Iwamasa contacted Fleming to purchase more vials of ketamine. Fleming then texted Sangha, a.k.a. “The Ketamine Queen,” to obtain the drugs.
October 14, 2023
After delivering samples of ketamine to Iwamasa and Perry at his residence the day prior, Fleming allegedly drove to Perry’s home to obtain the funds for the drugs. Fleming then drove to Sangha’s “stash house” and bought 25 vials. He then drove back to Perry’s house and delivered the drugs, according to the docs.
October 23, 2023
Iwamasa texted Fleming asking to purchase more ketamine, allegedly asking via text, “Can we do the same as last time over the next two days?”
Fleming then traveled to Perry’s home to pick up cash from Iwamasa.
October 24, 2023
Fleming allegedly bought another 25 vials of ketamine from Sangha, then drove back to Perry’s home to drop off the drugs.
October 25-27, 2023
Court docs alleged that Iwamasa administered Perry “at least” six injections of ketamine on October 25, October 26 and October 27.
October 28, 2023
Perry was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. He was pronounced dead later that day.
In documents obtained by Us, it was alleged that Iwamasa injected Perry with “multiple doses of ketamine he received” from Fleming and Sangha, “resulting in the death and serious bodily injury” of the late actor. The docs also alleged that Plasencia provided the syringes.
That same day, Sangha instructed Fleming to “distance themselves from selling ketamine” to Perry, including deleting digital evidence on their cell phones.
October 30, 2023
Fleming allegedly texted Sangha asking how long ketamine stays in someone’s system since a “three month tox screening” would be performed on Perry.
December 2023
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office released a toxicology report concluding that Perry died from “the acute effects of ketamine.” The actor’s death was ruled an accident, with drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine (which is used to treat opioid use) listed as contributing factors.
May 2024
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they had opened an investigation into Perry’s death, focusing specifically on how Perry obtained the ketamine found in his system when he died.
August 15, 2024

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California shared a press release announcing that Dr. Salvador Plasencia, a licensed physician, and Jasveen Sangha, a.k.a. “The Ketamine Queen,” an alleged drug dealer, were arrested on August 15 in connection with Perry’s death. Both Plasencia and Sangha were charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.
Sangha was also charged with one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine and five counts of distribution of ketamine; while Plasencia was also charged with seven counts of distribution of ketamine and two counts of altering and falsifying documents or records related to the federal investigation.
The press release also named three other individuals who had been separately charged in connection to Perry’s death: Iwamasa, his acquaintance Fleming, and Dr. Chavez, another physician.
Fleming pleaded guilty on August 8 to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, Fleming admitted in court documents that he distributed the ketamine that killed Perry.
Iwamasa pleaded guilty on August 7 to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death, and admitted to repeatedly injecting Perry with ketamine without medical training, including on the day he died. Chavez has agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.
United States Attorney Martin Estrada said in a statement: “These defendants cared more about profiting off of Mr. Perry than caring for his well-being. Drug dealers selling dangerous substances are gambling with other people’s lives over greed. This case, along with our many other prosecutions of drug dealers who cause death, send a clear message that we will hold drug-dealers accountable for the deaths they cause.”
August 30, 2024

Chavez, one of the doctors arrested in connection with the death of Perry, appeared in a Los Angeles court on Friday, August 30, after reaching a deal to plead guilty and cooperate with prosecutors, according to the Associated Press. (Though he agreed to plead guilty, he did not enter his plea during his court appearance, and will do so at a date to be determined at a later time.)
“He’s incredibly remorseful,” Chavez’s lawyer, Matthew Binninger said while the doctor, who agreed to turn over his medical license, stood by his side. “He’s trying to do everything in his power to right the wrong that happened here. He didn’t accept responsibility today but only because it wasn’t on the calendar. He’s doing everything in his power to cooperate and help with this situation.”
June 16, 2025
Plasencia made a plea deal with the Department of Justice, and faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, Deadline reported.
“At the earliest opportunity requested by the USAO and provided by the Court, appear and plead guilty to Counts Six, Eight, Nine, and Ten of the first superseding indictment in United States v. Salvador Plasencia, which each charge defendant with distribution of ketamine,” the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Central District of California stated in a plea agreement.
As part of the agreement, the DOJ intends to “recommend a two-level reduction in the applicable Sentencing Guidelines offense level” to the judge. This recommendation could possibly reduce Plasencia’s sentence by several years.
Meanwhile, Chavez and Iwamasa, who previously submitted guilty pleas, are due to be sentenced in fall 2025.
July 23, 2025
One month after Plasencia took the plea deal, he pleaded guilty to four counts of distribution of ketamine.
“Dr. Plasencia is profoundly remorseful for the treatment decisions he made while providing ketamine to Matthew Perry,” Plasencia attorney, Karen Goldstein, said in a statement to ABC News. “He is fully accepting responsibility by pleading guilty to drug distribution.”
Plasencia will remain out on bond until his sentencing on December 3, 2025. He is facing up to 40 years behind bars. In addition to the conviction, Plasencia will give up his medical license. According to his lawyer, Plasencia recognized his “failure to protect” Perry.
“While Dr. Plasencia was not treating Mr. Perry at the time of his death, he hopes his case serves as a warning to other medical professionals and leads to stricter oversight and clear protocols for the rapidly growing at-home ketamine industry in order to prevent future tragedies like this one,” the statement continued.
September 3, 2025
Sangha pleaded guilty to five federal charges in connection to Perry’s death, according to the Associated Press. She was charged with three counts of distribution of ketamine, one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises. Her sentencing is scheduled for December 10.
December 3, 2025
Plasencia was sentenced to 30 months, nearly two and half years, in prison, per the Los Angeles Times. The doctor will also serve two years of supervised release following his time behind bars.
April 8, 2026
A federal judge sentenced Jasveen Sangha, better known as “Ketamine Queen,” to 15 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to selling Matthew Perry the ketamine that killed him in 2023.
“These were not mistakes,” Sangha told the judge, per the Associated Press. “They were horrible decisions [which] shattered people’s lives and the lives of their family and friends.”
Before Sangha’s sentencing, Matthew’s stepmother, Debbie Perry, filed a victim impact letter with the court.
“The pain you’ve caused to hundreds, maybe thousands, is irreversible,” she wrote in a statement obtained by Us Weekly. “There is no joy to be found, no light in the window. They won’t be back. That thought comes through our day everyday.”
Matthew’s stepfather, Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison, also told the judge that he and Matthew’s mother, Suzanne Perry, feel a “daily, grinding sadness and sorrow.”
“There was a spark to that man I have never seen anywhere else,” Morrison said, per the AP. “He should have had another act. Two more acts.”
May 13, 2026
Fleming was sentenced to two years in prison, according to multiple outlets.

Why Sleep Tourism Is One of 2026’s Biggest Travel Trends
Sleep tourism is shaping up to be one of the biggest travel trends for 2026, with hotels, wellness resorts and even medical-led retreats building entire vacations around one goal: better rest.
Instead of packed itineraries and nonstop sightseeing, travelers are booking sleep-focused stays with smart beds, blackout rooms, spa treatments and personalized wellness programs. Here’s what sleep tourism actually involves, why demand is growing so quickly and how to create a similar sleep retreat experience at home.
What Is Sleep Tourism?
Sleep tourism is a category of travel built around improving rest as the main purpose of the trip, rather than fitting sleep in around a packed itinerary. Hotels and wellness resorts are creating retreats with smart beds, blackout rooms, recovery treatments, sleep coaching and wellness programs aimed at improving sleep quality and overall well-being.
The trend goes well beyond luxury bedding or a pillow menu at check-in. It focuses on creating an environment where rest is the destination — whether through week-long wellness retreats, medical-led stays that diagnose sleep issues, or shorter hotel packages built around spa treatments and circadian rhythm support. Properties are also bringing in outside specialists to lead programming, including sleep and dream expert Charlie Morley, who has partnered with hotels such as Nômade in Tulum and Kimpton Fitzroy London.
Morley told National Geographic that the shift reflects how travelers are starting to think about their health. “People have long been looking at their diet and physical health via fitness, but the next chapter is sleep,” he said. “Hotels have realised that people are using these trips, where they’re away from work or their children, as a chance to really prioritise good sleep.”
Expert-led approaches are being adopted around the world, with sleep specialists being brought in to enhance in-house wellbeing programs. Morley also predicted that technology will play a bigger role going forward.
“The gamification of sleep will continue to grow and this will be maximised by the travel industry with innovations like smart beds. These types of bed will be able to measure the quality of your sleep, allowing you to see what tools or techniques work for you,” he told National Geographic. “Soon, hotels really will be able to back up their claims of offering a great night’s sleep with some pretty solid data.”
Why Is Sleep Tourism Trending In 2026?
Sleep tourism is surging because Americans are sleeping badly, stressed out and increasingly willing to pay for solutions — and the numbers behind the trend are striking. A 2024 report by HTF Market Intelligence found the global sleep tourism sector is worth more than $690 billion and is projected to grow by another $400 billion between 2024 and 2028.
The demand reflects a broader sleep problem in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 36 percent of Americans are getting insufficient sleep. A Gallup survey also points to rising stress levels, with about half of people reporting stress and sleep problems.
The National Sleep Foundation’s 2025 Sleep in America Poll found that six in 10 adults do not get the recommended seven to nine hours of quality sleep each night. Nearly four in 10 struggle to fall asleep at least three nights a week, and almost half wake up often during the night.
The same NSF study found that adults with good sleep satisfaction are nearly twice as likely to flourish in life compared to those dissatisfied with their sleep. That gap is fueling the wellness travel boom.
“Poor sleep health is a major risk factor for lower well-being across multiple areas of life,” said Dr. Joseph Dzierzewski, the NSF’s senior vice president of research. “Prioritizing sleep health can improve mental health, workplace efficiency, and stronger personal relationships.”
John Lopos, CEO of the foundation, framed the stakes even more broadly. “Sleep is fundamental to thriving across many aspects of life,” he said. “These results reinforce how crucial positive sleep health is to basic achievements that go beyond physical health.”
Combine the deficit, the data and the dollars, and 2026 is shaping up as the year sleep moves from a wellness afterthought to the core reason people book a trip.
How Can You Do a Sleep Tourism Staycation at Home?
Not everyone needs to travel to a destination resort to get the benefits of sleep tourism. Many of the same principles can be applied at home through a DIY sleep staycation built around an upgraded bedroom and a few intentional days of rest.
The starting point is treating your bedroom like a hotel environment. That means upgrading sheets, improving soundproofing, installing blackout shades and finding the right mattress and pillow for your sleep style. Small environmental changes — light, sound, temperature, bedding — do much of the heavy lifting that high-end sleep retreats rely on.
From there, the second piece is carving out the time. People can set aside a long weekend or a few days off work to focus entirely on rest and relaxation, rather than squeezing recovery in between obligations. The point is to step out of normal routines, reduce screen time and create a space that feels restorative rather than rushed.
Popular sleep-focused activities for a staycation include:
- Evening yoga and meditation before bed
- Relaxing baths and spa-style facials
- Sound baths with white, pink or brown noise
Whether the trip is to a luxury resort with a sleep coach on staff or just a reset in your own bedroom, the core idea of sleep tourism is the same: making quality rest the main destination, not a side effect of the vacation.

Dorit Kemsley’s Estranged Husband Drives Into New Drama
As if the divorce saga is not enough, Dorit Kemsley‘s estranged husband has driven into another drama.
As Paul Kemsley continues to fight his way through his split from the reality star, the businessman was recently caught causing mild damage to his neighbor’s property and carrying on almost unbothered.
Dorit Kemsley and Paul Kemsley’s ongoing divorce has been laced with several dramas, including reports of him defaulting on mortgage payments on their $6 million mansion.

Paul was spotted on Tuesday, May 12, moving his expensive Range Rover out into the street, but the plans changed midway, and he rammed into a Toyota RAV4, which his neighbor’s caregiver reportedly owned.
The entrepreneur was spotted zooming off with a noticeable dent in his car, and when he returned, he did not pay any attention to the other car either; he strolled into the building.
He, however, addressed TMZ briefly about the incident, stressing that he miscalculated by initially thinking his New Range Rover had braked for him. To his surprise, he noticed the brief contact with the Toyota left the “world’s tiniest mark” on his car.
Paul added that he actually went over to the affected person and apologized, alongside an offer to pay for the fix. In his words:
“Entirely my fault. Although, in fairness, trying to reverse while subconsciously searching for paparazzi hiding in bushes is probably not recommended by Land Rover.”
Paul Kemsley Is Looking Forward To A New Horizon After His Divorce

The property developer has credited their decision to appear on Bravo’s franchise as the catalyst for their marital issues. As shared by The Blast, Paul admitted that he and Dorit internalized some of the wrong narratives being fueled by producers of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” about their marriage.
Now that the chapter is closed, Paul expressed that he is looking forward to moving on from such a low moment in his life. Most importantly for him, his entire life is not defined by carefully edited snippets on a show by ratings-centered producers.
Paul added that the reason why he avoided addressing Dorit’s stories about the reason for their separation and divorce on the show was to shield their children from unhealthy drama. According to him: “I wouldn’t have encouraged it, and I would have strongly recommended — in any capacity, my capacity as a manager, as a business guy, father and husband — if I’d have had somebody who would listen, I’d say, ‘That is the wrong thing to do.’”
Dorit Kemsley And Her Estranged Husband Are At War Over Child Custody

The Bravo star and her former partner locked horns in court over the custody of their children as the reality star gunned for sole legal and physical custody.
Paul instantly kicked back, gunning for joint custody as a healthier option and insisting that his estranged wife does not have to pay him spousal support.
Insiders have noted that Dorit’s pursuit for sole custody may have been linked to concerns over the property developer’s relationship with alcohol.
As for the reality star, she is laser-focused on ensuring her kids’ happiness through it all and becoming a better version of herself.
Paul came clean about battling alcoholism in the past, admitting that it played a role in his failed marriage, but Dorit also saw it as an avenue to weaponize his nightmare with alcohol.
The property developer continued that Dorit intended to use his struggle as a means to score cheap points while ignoring all his efforts to stay sober.
Dorit Turned Down Paul’s Generous Offer

Last week, The Blast shared that Dorit issued a response to her estranged husband’s offer that his home could serve as a solace for the reality star and their two children.
According to the Bravo star, that offer was dead on arrival because in her wildest dream, she would not have done that.
Paul revealed that he had moved out of their former shared home with plans to sell it off before it gets foreclosed.
The sprawling mansion located in Encino, California, features six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and covers nearly 9,000 square feet, but is unfortunately burdened by a significant debt.
The property developer has accused his estranged wife of refusing to cooperate in negotiations surrounding the property.
He continued that she has been erratic, confrontational, and evasive with communications in the process. He has now approached the court to sign off on an immediate sale of the home to protect whatever equity remains.
Currently, the home carries roughly $6 million in mortgage debt, making the family’s financial situation extremely dire.
Is Dorit Kemsley Weaponizing Her Kids?

The estranged couple’s divorce drama took another dramatic turn when Paul claimed she was trying to cleverly extract money for a getaway from him by sending one of their kids to make the request.
In his filing, Paul stressed that their children have come to him for money in order to book and pay the bills for their vacation.
“While I was attempting to address financial issues with [Dorit], she enlisted our [kid] to send text messages to me requesting money for Dorit’s personal expenses, including a trip she wanted to take with the children,” Paul declared.
In the evidence shared by Paul, which was screenshots of his conversation with their child, he was seen engaging in a witty back-and-forth with the kid, seemingly uncovering whatever grand scheme was created to collect funds from him.

Sydney Sweeney Is Being Deliberately Destroyed
By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

Euphoria, the HBO teen drama, has been responsible for launching some pretty big careers. Without this show, Zendaya probably wouldn’t be a beloved Marvel movie star, and Jacob Elordi wouldn’t be an Oscar-nominated horror icon. Of course, the breakout Euphoria star the internet loves the most is Sydney Sweeney, someone whose buxom beauty has made her the internet’s favorite fantasy lady. Unfortunately for this blonde bombshell, the show that helped make her career is now trying to break her career in the most humiliating possible way.
Her Euphoria character, Cassie, has a current story arc where she makes money on OnlyFans. That’s not so crazy on paper. Every day, more young, well-endowed women are using this platform to make cold, hard cash. But this plotline is just a thinly veiled excuse to put her into a number of strange situations that seem like the barely concealed fetishes of the showrunner. As degrading clips from Euphoria continue to go viral, we are left with only one conclusion: Sam Levinson is deliberately using his hit TV show to humiliate Sydney Sweeney.
Down, Girl

Since you’re probably not watching Euphoria, here’s a quick breakdown of what’s been happening to Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie. In short, she is trying to pay for her expensive wedding to Jacob Elordi’s character (Nate), so she turns to OnlyFans as a way to raise the $50,000 she needs.
With the help of former friend turned current manager, she begins carving out some weird, kinky niches for herself on OF. This includes dressing and acting like a dog and dressing and acting like a baby. Recently, she even acted like a giant, complete with a scene of her stomping all over town, Godzilla style.

Even if you’ve never watched Euphoria, you’ve probably seen some of the viral images, GIFs, and memes centered on her character and asked, “What in God’s name is Sydney Sweeney doing?” The simple answer is that she’s doing whatever she is told. She doesn’t write the scripts or choose her character’s arc. Instead, the actor must obey Sam Levinson, the acclaimed showrunner of Euphoria.
Why is Levinson making his hottest actor do all of this crazy stuff, though? My pet theory (unlike Sweeney, it doesn’t have ears or a tail) is that he is doing so to humiliate her, effectively flooding the internet with degrading images of her.
I Kink, Therefore I Am

All of these bizarre things Sydney Sweeney is doing as part of her OnlyFans character arc correspond to very specific kinks. Dressing and acting like a dog is part of pet play, where a submissive acts like an animal and a dominant pretends to own them. Dressing like a baby is part of infantilization. Even her recent, kaiju-style hijinks correspond to a giantess kink (also known as macrophilia), in which Titan-sized women tease, overpower, crush, and even kill submissive, standard-sized men.
Now, I’m not here to kinkshame anyone. There’s no problem if you’re into any of the stuff that Sweeney is doing on Euphoria, and you’re probably really digging seeing clips of the world’s hottest leading lady making niche content for mainstream television.
For Sweeney, though, that’s the real problem. Scenes and images of what she is doing on Euphoria keep getting shared, without context, online. When normies search “Sydney Sweeney” on the internet, these images are some of the first things they see. Meanwhile, when kinksters search for things like “pet play” or “giantess,” you guessed it … these images are some of the first things they see!
Feeling Like A Freak On A Leash

Again, there’s nothing wrong with any of this, but mainstream audiences generally find the things Sweeney is doing on Euphoria now to be weird and degrading. By making her do one weird thing after another, Sam Levinson has consistently humiliated Sydney Sweeney, associating her acting (possibly permanently) with degrading things.
That would be bad enough for any young actor, but it’s particularly bad for Sweeney, someone who (through movies like Christy) is fervently trying to be seen as a serious actress and not just a body. Unfortunately, her name is now synonymous with some of the wildest acts this side of Eyes Wide Shut.

Obviously, there’s no proof that this is Levinson’s intent. But it’s worth noting that some of the stuff (like her acting like a baby) is strictly forbidden by OnlyFans in real-life, so none of this adds to the verisimilitude of the plot. All it does is drag down a rising star in a kind of bizarre humiliation ritual that does very little but objectify her in front of increasingly horny audiences. If Sweeney isn’t down with things like onscreen pet play in Euphoria, then all of this is just weird and degrading. If she is into it, though, then there’s not much left to say.
Except, of course: “Who’s a good girl? You’re a good girl!”

33 Years Later, Sylvester Stallone’s 112-Minute Action Movie Is Still His Biggest Risk
Decades before becoming the schlockmaster behind movies like 2026’s Deep Water, Renny Harlin crafted many of the great works of 1990s action filmmaking. Besides Die Hard 2, the Finnish filmmaker also directed the amnesiac spy classic The Long Kiss Goodnight and the genre-killing Cutthroat Island, but his finest work was 1993’s Cliffhanger. A Sylvester Stallone vehicle set among the mountains, Cliffhanger had everything: magnificent vistas, avalanches, and an internationally organized theft of U.S. Treasury bonds during a Dark Knight Rises-esque plane hijacking. Cliffhanger might be “Die Hard in the mountains,” but Harlin got the most from the setting and its star.
Compared to Die Hard’s famously vulnerable portrayal of then-comedy star Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone’s 1980s run of action films had turned him into an invincible cartoon character. With massive muscles, immaculately coiffed hair, and a seeming inability to lose any fights onscreen, Stallone’s only real competition for the title of ‘80s action king was the similarly unbreakable Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even movies punctuated by sentiment or pain, like Rocky and First Blood, grew into franchises where those qualities were gradually phased out in favor of (mostly pretty awesome) adolescent power fantasies. But Cliffhanger was almost a classy take on the traditional Stallone character, with a screenplay that received the actor’s traditional rewrites.
Inside Sylvester Stallone’s Rewrite of ‘Cliffhanger’
Despite being best known as an action star, Sylvester Stallone has a strong history of writing and directing his films as well. From his mainstream breakthrough with writing and starring in 1976’s Rocky, Stallone took all creative elements of filmmaking seriously. It’s hard to miss his writing credits on ‘80s movies as varied as Rhinestone, Cobra (one of Stallone’s most brutal films), and Over the Top (as well as every entry in the Rocky and Rambo franchises). He could use his script-rewrite privilege on certain films to give himself more to do as an actor — bigger action scenes, punchier one-liners — while making sure the movies fit his public image as an actor. But by the early ‘90s, Stallone’s career was seeing as many lows as highs, especially in comedy films where he had little to no creative influence. Cliffhanger had been slowly brewing all the while. Before Cliffhanger came together, Renny Harlin and Carolco had spent years developing Gale Force, which would have cast Stallone as a man defending a seaside town against marauders at the peak of a hurricane.
As a film from the Carolco company that had produced all three Rambo films, it would have been right up Stallone’s wheelhouse. According to Entertainment Weekly, after spending nearly $2 million on scripts and treatments, Carolco scrapped Gale Force in favor of Cliffhanger.
Gabe is a classic Stallone character — stoic, isolated, and capable.
9 Kickass Movies That Pretty Much Just Copied ‘Die Hard’
With ‘Die Hard’ turning 30 this week and Dwayne Johnson doing his best John McClane in ‘Skyscraper’, we’re taking a look at the best movies that totally cribbed from ‘Die Hard’s playbook.
‘Cliffhanger’ Saved Sylvester Stallone’s Career
Cliffhanger’s long development and rough road to production (including multiple production stops due to Carolco’s failure to pay crew, according to the June 1993 issue of Spy magazine) followed several poorly performing movies for Sylvester Stallone. His attempts at branching out into comedy with movies like John Landis’ surprisingly funny flop, Oscar, and 1992’s notorious naughty old lady comedy Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (a ’90s so-bad-it’s-good classic) revealed his limits. Cliffhanger, casting him as a tough and reliable mountain ranger fighting thieves in icy caves, reminded audiences of what made him such an effective action hero. In the movie’s vertigo-inducing prologue, we see what makes Gabe Walker tick, and why he walked away from the mountain ranger lifestyle, as his decision-making inadvertently leads to the death of his best friend Hal’s (Michael Rooker) girlfriend. As ridiculous as the scene can be, it announces the movie’s massive sense of scale and lets Stallone’s emotions anchor the whole film.
With a script majorly rewritten by Stallone, you might expect Cliffhanger to feature numerous scenes of Gabe Walker as an untouchable killer with remarkable survival instincts. And you’d be right — the reveal that he survived an avalanche plays like a gag. But the movie’s strength is spending time with its ensemble. Besides Stallone’s future Guardians of the Galaxy co-star Rooker, John Lithgow’s villainous Qualen is a great Hans Gruber type, and his henchmen are memorable too. Cliffhanger’s generosity of spirit, disaster movie energy, and excessive touches ensure that while Stallone comes off best, the entire film clicks as an ensemble action thriller. Considering how the ‘90s had gone for him up to that point, Cliffhanger’s a redemption story for Stallone, one he had to write for himself.
