REGRETS AND REBUYS // VOL. II
I am back with another installment of ‘Regrets and Rebuys’, after you all loved this one so much! In this series I break down the items I have purchased and would rebuy as well as the items that fell flat and didn’t work for me. Hindsight is 20/20!
REBUY
FEATHER BROOCH
I did rebuy this feather brooch. Again and again and again in all sorts of fun, pop colors. It seriously jazzes up even the saddest of outfits!
BAUBLEBAR BAG
As someone who always loves to be over-prepared, you can typically find me hauling around a tote with everything I *might* need. This BaubleBar bag is one of my favorites. It comes in over 25 color combos, and of course, can be personalized. I am scared to admit I now own three of them! The one shown here is the medium size!
HELENE DRESS
When I first saw this dress I knew I was going to fall in love with it. I first bought it in black and then quickly went back for the green. They now offer it in five colors! The fit is fantastic and the slight sheer of the fabric makes it feel incredibly elegant.
GUCCI HEELS
I own two pairs of plaid, black heels and honestly, they never see the light of day. I always find a more interesting heel to pair with whatever I am wearing. So, when I first saw these, I did question how much I would wear them. The answer? A LOT! They are so comfortable and interesting, without being too complicated to mix and match!
REGRET
Similar to last time, the theme here continues to be the items that proved too hard to style again and again as well as pieces that were too expensive and I didn’t satisfy my cost per wear rule. It is always a bummer when this happens, but you live and learn!
PRADA SHOES
Okay, I was giddy when I first got these. They are well made, are a great fit, and a comfortable heel hight. SO why are they on the regret list? I feel that given the high price point, I simply haven’t worn them enough. The white color is VERY white and I wish that I had got them in the brown instead.

OMBRE COAT
Fab coat, not nearly enough wear. I love prints and patterns and I feel like this coat looks best with a paired back neutral look. Something I don’t typically go for. I still *love* the idea of this coat, but I would have gotten way more use out of a different piece.

GUCCI JACKET
Saw this, loved it, and was thrilled to find it second-hand. The joy kind of ends there. Another piece that felt tricky to style again and again. If I wear more than say two colors with this jacket I start to look a bit like a toddler playing dress up. I am not giving up though and plan to keep it in my closet…for now.

PARIS TEXAS BOOTS
This regret is a bit of a tricky one. I already owned black boots that I really liked from Zara. I wanted to upgrade a bit and bought these. However, when push came to shove, I continued to look for the Zara boots. This was just a lesson in “don’t buy two of something until you really need a replacement”. I love Paris Texas boots and these are a great style, I just didn’t need a second pair of black, western style boots in my closet.

PURPLE LEATHER MIDI SKIRT
Real talk here! I try not to be ‘label blind’ or buy an item because I am wowed by the % of savings, but in this case, I didn’t follow my own rule. I found this Bottega skirt for under $500 in my size (it was originally over $5K). I jumped on it. A few months later I ended up selling it to TRR. I wasn’t finding enough reasons to wear it!

Amazon Sundays: Color, in Small Doses
This week’s Amazon Sunday is all about building out your fall accessories, those finishing touches like a brooch or a great shoe. When so much of the outfit is covered, the smaller details take on a bigger role. Having fun with them is the easiest way to add unexpected color in a little dose that still makes such an impact. A berry necklace, a turquoise glove, or a purple flat can completely change what peeks out from underneath a coat.
I’m especially drawn to texture this time of year, since velvet, suede, resin, and soft knits give even the tiniest accent more weight. A leopard belt breaks up denim or trousers, colorful tights reset a dress or skirt entirely, and the right sunglasses carry that last bit of color up near the face. These are the Amazon finds I like keeping on hand, because they make repeating favorite fall pieces feel new every time.

I saw some Reel yesterday that said that in order to update your Fall 2025 look for 2026, you should get rid of wide leg jeans and swap for straight leg… and I rolled my eyes. I feel like wide leg jeans are still really popular! But… I will say that wearing wide legs in winter can really suck, especially with corduroy. Last year I felt torn… I didn’t want to wear my skinny cords again, but my wider legs and botcuts were just a bit too close to the ground to make it through snow and slush unscathed.
So I’m excited to see these straight-leg cords from Kut from the Kloth. They’re affordable, they’re on trend as much as wide leg, and they’re practical for the season. They even come in petites — huzzah!
The cords are available in six colors, sizes 00-18 in regular and petites, for $89.
Psst: I was originally going to post these Spanx pants, which I thought looked really chic for sweatpants… but then I realized it’s not a stripe down the side, but a totally different color in the back. Thoughts?

20 Dresses Worth the RSVP
Outfit Details: Alemais Dress, Saint Laurent Heels (old, similar here), Valentino Clutch (old, similar here)
Some invitations have me thinking about the dress before I’ve even checked the date. Weddings, celebrations, and evening events are where I want the clothes to rise to the occasion too, with a silhouette or fabric that feels memorable the minute you put it on. Sometimes that means saturated color, other times it is the sweep of silk or a detail that makes the whole silhouette feel more distinctive.
Fall makes that kind of dressing especially good because the fabrics get richer. Velvet takes color deeper, feathers give movement to a hem or cuff, and a little shine can completely change the way a dress reads across a room. I like choosing the dress first and letting everything else come afterward, almost as punctuation. When the invitation calls for something more, this is exactly where I want to go with it.

NEW ARRIVALS FOR DAYS

Apparently, every brand decided that 10/15 was THE day to drop new arrivals, and I am not mad about it! There are so many new styles to love, and as we head into the holiday season, there is no shortage of sparkle, shine, and COLOR! Below are the standout collections I am loving and the top pieces I am eyeing.
HUNTER BELL // Hunter Bell dropped its holiday collection here, and it is all sorts of wonderful. My top picks are this dress, this maxi skirt, and this mini!
DOEN // I am not 100% a Dôen girl, but from time to time I do find pieces that I love. They just released Holiday Chapter One here, and I immediately bought this coat. I had a feeling that it would likely sell out on the first day, and I was right! I am also eyeing this mint number.
SIMON MILLER // Okay, now let’s talk about a brand that I practically want to buy everything. Simon Miller! The holiday collection landed yesterday here, and I bought this and this. Now, I just need an event to attend so I have an excuse to buy this!
LA LIGNE // You know La Ligne is my go-to for chic pieces that build the foundation of my wardrobe. The Colby pant is a bestseller, as is this sweater. From the newest drop, I love this coat and this one!
STAUD // Staud decided to drop this collection, and now I fear for my wallet. There are almost too many favorites to highlight! If you love purple, don’t miss this jacket. For the jacquard lovers, this piece is divine! Have a black-tie event coming up? I would 100% buy this.
J.CREW // J.Crew just keeps getting better and better. Within their latest drop, I am drooling over this shearling barn coat as well as this oversized V-neck cashmere sweater that is available in the yummiest colors.
JENNIFER BEHR // Whew. This collection took me out! I want this for a holiday party, and I NEED these earrings. I also love how the brand is leaning into brooches and bags! How about this oversized brooch and this iconic bag?!
MANGO // Last but not least, Mango just released some serious statement pieces. In the mood for a little fur? This is a must-have. Digging the Bambi trend? This jacket is one of the best takes I have seen, and it is well under $300!

I Tried to Simplify My Instagram Workflow. Here’s What I Stopped Using
At some point, managing my Instagram workflow started feeling more complicated than creating the content itself. I had an app for editing videos, another for planning posts, a separate calendar, and a folder full of saved content ideas. None of them seemed unnecessary when I downloaded them. But opening five different apps to publish one […]

Cart Confidential Vol. 48 – Julia Berolzheimer
After weeks of looking at clothes at full volume, I’m drawn to the smaller details: an unexpected finish on a jacket, a color pairing I hadn’t considered, a familiar silhouette done in a new way. My cart is a mix of runway-adjacent pieces and the ones I’ll reach for constantly, like these Hunter Bell pants. The tiny motif and relaxed shape make them easy to wear any day without ever feeling boring.
For the girls, fall break in New York City has me thinking about layers that keep them warm but peel off easily for a full day of playing. I’m still looking for personality, just with a little more practicality built in. A striped knit, colorful pants, or printed vest gives the suitcase plenty of life while making sense for the weather.
For the house, I’m eyeing what will carry us through the hosting stretch ahead. This is our first holiday season with most of our redecorating finished, so I’m looking for marbled flatware, patterned napkins, and sculptural accents that make a fall table feel festive and still look right at home in the new space.
