Lots of instant withdrawal casino sites promise payments will be completed in minutes, but very few operators are willing to put their money where their mouth is. All except MrQ.

They only have a small pool of payment options, but guarantee that all payments will be made instantly, or they will issue bettors with a £10 casino bonus in compensation.

MrQ are also a pay by mobile casino, but doesn’t offer withdrawals using this method, as explained in the excellent information pack available on payment options.

Some of the information does need updating, but bettors will find enough to give them a clear idea on what to expect when using MrQ.

No fast withdrawal casino has as many instant options as Grosvenor. The UK casino claims that nearly all withdrawals are processed instantly and should appear in a bettor’s account within 15 minutes.

That service is available using debit cards with fast withdrawals, Apple Pay, PayPal and instant bank transfer service, with the latter available at all major UK banks.

Withdrawal limits at Grosvenor should suit all types of bettors and the majority of fast withdrawal methods can be used to unlock the Grosvenor sign-up offer, with the exception of PayPal.

The sign-up offer isn’t as good as some of those available at rival online casinos, with the £20 casino bonus and £20 deposit needed to unlock the welcome bonus carrying 10x wagering requirements.

However, Grosvenor makes up for that with daily offers for existing customers, a great selection of casino games, and, most importantly for those seeking fast withdrawals, a good selection of banking options offering instant payments.

Betfair could be the best online casino with instant withdrawal options, depending on a player’s preferences, with three instant options.

Withdrawals made via debit cards tend to be slower than those made via other methods, but all Visa and participating Mastercard card users can expect instant withdrawals from Betfair.

Pay by bank instant withdrawals are also available on Betfair, while Apple Pay is the third casino fast withdrawal option. There are plenty of other methods bettors can use to make a withdrawal, and most transfer requests are processed in four to 24 hours.

All payment options are eligible for the Betfair casino welcome bonus, making Betfair one of the most flexible online casinos around when it comes to real money transactions.

Ladbrokes is one of the most well-established names in UK gambling and continues to perform at a high level, offering instant payouts via Pay By Bank, while transfers using e-wallets and debit cards are completed within hours.

Ladbrokes have steadily improved payment speeds, with debit card transfers taking around four hours if the user’s bank provides the fast funds service. Withdrawals using PayPal are expected to take around eight hours to complete, which is a little slower than some rival casino sites.

Ladbrokes’ withdrawal limits are noteworthy too as they are one of only a handful of online casinos to allow withdrawals from as little as £5.

There are some small differences between a fast withdrawal casino and an instant withdrawal casino: ‘instant’ withdrawals are understood to be those processed in 15 minutes or less. At the same time, ‘fast’ withdrawals are usually thought to be anything under an hour.

The average UK withdrawal speed across all casinos is typically between 12 and 24 hours. That is due to some casinos now processing payments instantly, while others require 1 to 3 business days.

UK-licensed casinos must follow strict identity and anti-fraud regulations from the UK Gambling Commission, meaning even instant withdrawal casinos must carry out verification checks before releasing funds.

To that end, users should complete all KYC checks before making withdrawals to enjoy the full benefits of a fast casino withdrawal.

In this section, we provide additional details on the fastest withdrawal methods available at UK online casinos.

Note that Fast Funds and Pay By Bank methods are much quicker than traditional debit card and bank transfer options.

Trustly

  • Processing times: 10 minutes – 24 hours
  • Withdrawal limits: £10 – £10,000

Instant transfers are available with Trustly, with no bank details needed and limits between £10 and £10,000. However, not a huge number of fast payout online casinos accept Trustly.

PayPal

  • Processing times: Instant – 24 hours
  • Withdrawal limits: £5 – £30,000

Some operators offer PayPal casino instant withdrawal options, and this method is more widely accepted than rival e-wallets. However, recently some major online gambling outlets, such as Betfred, have removed PayPal from their list of accepted payment options.

Apple Pay

  • Processing times: Instant – 24 hours
  • Withdrawal limits: £5 – £40,000

Mobile casino users will be delighted by the way some online casinos have embraced Apple Pay, and, to a lesser extent, Google Pay. Withdrawals can be made with just a few taps on mobile and the limits have increased to cater to more bettors.

Visa/Mastercard Fast Funds

  • Processing times: 30 minutes – 4 hours
  • Withdrawal limits: £5 – £20,000

Old debit card payments can take between 1-3 working days. Fast funds can see payments reach a user’s account in under an hour. Nearly all Visa debit card providers and some Mastercard providers now offer this function.

Pay By Bank

  • Processing times: Instant – 1 hour
  • Withdrawal limits: £10 – £100,000

Bank transfer was formerly the slowest kind of withdrawal, taking up to a week at times to reach a user’s account. Pay By Bank has transformed this option now with bettor’s still getting the high security and option to make large withdrawals that came with a traditional bank transfer, only with funds arriving in a matter of minutes.

We use a range of criteria to evaluate each fast withdrawal casino, independently testing each of our recommended operators to confirm that they meet our expectations in terms of payouts, licensing and overall player experience.

UKGC licensing: Only licensed and regulated fast withdrawal casinos are recommended. Never use an online casino that doesn’t have a UK Gambling Commission license, or a payment method not accepted on licensed casinos, such as credit cards.

Payment method testing: We test fast payment methods to verify any claims they make over withdrawal times.

Transparency of terms: Choosing a fast withdrawal casino is much easier when an operator gives you information on the banking options available, how to use them and the expected deposit and withdrawal times.

Player experience: To give us a better insight into instant withdrawal casinos, we check Trustpilot and Reddit to see if fast withdrawal casinos live up to their name when used by punters.

Simple KYC process: We make sure KYC checks can be completed smoothly and without causing a huge inconvenience to the user. The best fast withdrawal casino provide assistance to bettors during the KYC process.

Responsible gambling compliance: Fast withdrawal casinos must comply with responsible gambling guidelines to be recommended.

Even at a fast payout casino, some withdrawals can get held up for various reasons. However, any hold-ups tend to be caused by routine checks or human error, rather than technical problems, and can easily be avoided.

Common reasons for payment delays include:

Account verification (KYC): UK-licensed casinos must verify a player’s identity before processing withdrawals. To avoid any delays, complete the KYC steps during sign-up.

Anti-Money Laundering: All licensed casinos are required to follow strict anti-money laundering regulations. This may require checks on the source of funds or account activity.

Payment method alterations: Many casinos require withdrawals to be made using the same method as the deposit, which can slow down the process if an alternative is selected.

Active bonus wagering: Any outstanding wagering requirements must be completed before funds can be released.

Timing of the request: Some online casinos don’t process withdrawal requests at certain times of the day, or outside of usual business hours.

Large withdrawal amounts: Higher-value payouts are often subject to additional internal checks.

Whatever gambling platform you’re using, it’s important to remember to take a safe and balanced approach to gambling online.

Setting personal limits and sticking to them can help you stay in control. Never gamble more than you can afford to lose, and when the fun stops, stop.

The most reputable instant withdrawal casino sites in the UK offer built-in safety tools, such as deposit caps, cooling-off periods, and full self-exclusion options.

These features make it easier to manage your bankroll, take breaks when needed, and ensure gambling remains fun. Remember not to get too carried away by free bet offers or casino bonuses.

If you start to feel gambling is affecting you negatively, reach out to support services like GamCare or BeGambleAware for confidential help.

Americans try Pimm’s for first time in Cambridge and issue one word verdict

Published

on

Cambridgeshire Live

Two American men tried Pimm’s for the first time while they were punting in Cambridge, and their blunt verdict resonated with a lot of people who have had similar experiences

Brits know that Pimm’s is the perfect summer drink, and it features in many homes when the weather warms up a little, as it tastes fantastic with ice and lots of fruit. To serve a classic British Pimm’s, mix one part Pimm’s No. 1 with three parts chilled carbonated lemonade, load the glass or pitcher with plenty of ice, and garnish generously with fresh mint, cucumber slices, strawberries, and orange wedges.

And that’s pretty much how two Americans in the UK had it served to them when they tried it “for the first time,” while doing a quintessentially British activity in Cambridge.

Kalani, who posts on TikTok as @kalanighosthunter, and his pal shared that they’d never had Pimm’s before, but were intrigued about why the drink has such a big hype around it. Kalani said they were going to “go punting here in Cambridge” and try some Pimm’s while they were at it.

For those who don’t know, punting is riding in a flat-bottomed boat pushed with a pole. Naturally, people who live in Cambridge will know this.

The pair went up to a boat that was selling all different types of alcoholic beverages, and they both tried the “UK’s drink of the summer”.

Kalani noted that there were “some strawberries in there, some mint,” as he took a sip. His friend described it as “so refreshing,” but Kalani’s one-word verdict was that the drink was “dangerous”.

“You don’t even taste the alcohol,” he shared, and his friend said that on a “very hot day” like when they were on the boat, all you want to do is guzzle it because it’s cold.

They joked that things could “get interesting” if they continued to drink the Pimm’s.

Kalani said: “It kind of reminds me of if I combined a Sprite and iced tea. The strawberries are the best part […] it has that nice alcohol flavour in there. That was delicious”.

The pair really enjoyed their punting experience, saying it was really relaxing, but the Pimm’s certainly stole the show for them both, as Kalani joked he needed a “jug, a pitcher,” or “a gallon” of the beverage.

In the comments, someone wrote: “Beware because Pimm’s doesn’t half creep up on you. One minute you’re punting along, all civil and elegant, and the next you’re pole dancing on the punting pole singing Rihanna at the top of your lungs”.

Another penned: “Pimm’s while punting in Cambridge? You, my friend, have hit peak Britishness”.

Somebody else warned against how strong Pimm’s can be, saying it’s 25% alcohol. “I had Pimm’s at my wedding. I was having a few between each double vodka, thinking it was just juice. I was hungover for three days”.

A woman replied: “My mother thought Pimm’s was a mixer. She was mixing it with vodka or gin for years. I drank spiked Pimm’s as a child because she thought it was just a little bit of vodka or gin with some lemonade and another mixer”.

The broadcasting company revealed the news of the revival earlier this year, and has now confirmed when it will return to TV screens.

ITV confirms when revival of Name That Tune will air

The music quiz show originally began in the United States in the 1950s before launching in the UK in 1976, and becoming a weekly half-hour show in 1983.

The show’s band will also be performing in the new UK version, made up of a group of elite musicians who have performed with some of the world’s biggest stars, including Adele and The Spice Girls.

Alison Hammond said: “As a massive music lover, my biggest challenge as a host will be trying not to grab the mic and start singing along when one of my all-time favourite tunes comes on!

“And trust me… that will take serious self-control!

“I grew up absolutely loving the original show, so being part of this now feels like a real full-circle moment.

“I cannot wait to get into the studio, put the contestants through their paces, and see who really knows their music.

“And let me tell you, being joined by the super-talented Name That Tune band, who’ll be belting out some of the biggest songs on the planet in their own unique, electric style… oh, it’s going to be next-level.

“Bigger, louder, and more feel-good than ever, this is going to be EPIC!”

Amanda Owen hits back at social media trolls over way she dresses

The Our Yorkshire Farm star shared a pointed post with her followers after receiving a string of negative comments about her appearance and work ethic.

Amanda, known to fans as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, posted several photographs showing her wearing a stylish sundress while carrying out jobs on the farm.

The 51-year-old also included screenshots of some of the critical messages she had received before issuing a defiant response entitled: “Address the dress.”

“There is no way we can dress this up,” Amanda began in a message spread across several slides.

“We tell our children to aim high. Be the best that they can be. Work hard. To take opportunities and seize the moment. To be strong and not fear standing tall and proud. Be yourself. Challenge perceptions. Step out of your comfort zone. Use your loaf. Be happy and proud.”

She continued: “Keep climbing but reach out to others. Do not give up or bale out. Our time here is short. Understand that you are not going to be everybody’s cup of tea. And that is no sweat.”

Amanda’s supporters quickly rallied around the TV personality and condemned the abuse directed at her.

One fan described the comments as “absolutely appalling” and praised Amanda and her family for their hard-working attitude.

They wrote: “They’re the most hardworking family I’ve ever seen and the most level-headed children they’ve raised.

“There’ll always be haters.

“Just rise above them as always.”

Another follower urged Amanda to “keep being you”, while several others praised her confidence and work ethic.

One supporter wrote: “God forbid a woman have some self-confidence, choose what she wants to wear and be successful.”

Others branded the messages aimed at Amanda “vile” and “disgraceful”, arguing that she should be free to wear whatever she chooses.

Amanda rose to fame through the Channel 5 documentary series Our Yorkshire Farm, which followed her family’s life at Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale.

She regularly shares photographs and updates from rural life with her followers, documenting everything from livestock and lambing to the challenges of working in the Yorkshire Dales.

Her latest post appears to make clear that she has no intention of allowing online criticism to dictate how she lives, works or dresses.

Judge clarifies NCAA eligibility order, which could blunt its impact on new ‘5 for 5’ rule

Judge clarifies NCAA eligibility order, which could blunt its impact on new '5 for 5' rule

The judge who granted the right to play another year of college sports to some athletes whose eligibility ran out last school year issued a new order Sunday that makes clear that does not include football players who signed pro contracts this summer then had a change of heart.

U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney responded to an NCAA request for clarity about her Friday ruling that granted a fifth year to athletes who graduated high school in 2022 and were not included in the new NCAA rule that allows five seasons of eligibility for Division I players.

That decision, she said, still stands, but has no impact on other NCAA rules, including its prohibition on players signing pro contracts, then coming back to college.

The ruling, as first written, had the potential to upend the upcoming college football season, where teams are starting camp planning on the so-called “five for five” rule to take effect beginning next fall.

Extending it to players this fall granted hundreds a chance to return to school. In the direct aftermath of the decision, some media reports were listing players on NFL and CFL rosters who were signaling they’d be open to returning to school.

But that appears to be off the table after Sweeney’s clarification that said there are no changes to the NCAA’s rules regarding pros; no exceptions over when athletes can enter the transfer portal; and no impact on elements of the landmark House lawsuit settlement, which dictates how many players teams can put on rosters and how much schools can pay them.

The rulings out of U.S. District Court in Denver figures to impact sports differently. Football teams, for instance, have already started practice for this season, while baseball doesn’t start for a while.

In making decisions, teams figure to factor the NCAA’s coming appeal of Sweeney’s order and whether to risk bringing back players who could then be declared ineligible if her decision is overturned.

NCAA President Charlie Baker issued a statement after Sweeney’s initial ruling came out Friday, saying the ruling was potentially chaos-inducing and a reason Congress needs to pass the Protect College Sports Act. That bill, being considered in the Senate, includes lawsuit protection for the NCAA over eligibility rules, the likes of which they defending in several courts around the country.

US dollar weakens sharply against the Japanese yen after market interventions

US dollar weakens sharply against the Japanese yen after market interventions

The U.S. dollar weakened sharply Monday against the Japanese yen after U.S. President Donald Trump and Japan’s finance minister confirmed both sides had intervened in markets.

Before late last week, the dollar was trading above 163 yen, touching 40-year highs. After regulators were suspected of stepping in, it fell below 160 yen.

Early Monday, after the official announcement of the intervention, the dollar dropped about 1% to 156.34 yen. That’s a big change for the exchange rate.

The yen’s prolonged weakness against the dollar has been a source of frustration for Tokyo. Since Japan imports so much of what it consumes, a weak currency pushes prices higher, increasing inflation.

Efforts earlier this year to raise the value of the yen against the dollar did little to budge the exchange rate.

Last week, the U.S. side was suspected of lending a hand. When asked why Washington was helping, Trump said Sunday that “We have a good relationship with Japan. We’re very strong —- very, very strong financially — and they are, you know, they have a weakening yen, and they wanted a little bit of help, and we’re always there for Japan. Japan’s been very good to us, with the exception, of course, of Pearl Harbor.”

Trump said the U.S. got “financial benefit” out of the intervention, calling it a “signal of friendship.” “It’s also good for the world economy.”

In Tokyo, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama issued a statement confirming the intervention, saying the finance ministry had purchased yen in coordination with the U.S. Treasury Department.

The move followed a joint statement last year and “countered excessive volatility and disorderly movements in the Japanese yen in recent months,” it said.

It added that the ministry would not hesitate to act further if necessary.

The Trans debate has been ‘hijacked’, but women’s rights must come first, says Doug Beattie

Mr Beattie said he believed transgender people should receive support, particularly around healthcare and bullying, but argued this should not undermine the rights of women.

Trans debate has been ‘hijacked’, but women’s rights must come first – Beattie

Independent MLA Doug Beattie has said the debate around transgender issues has become “hijacked” and insisted his focus remains on protecting women’s rights rather than debating the rights of the wider trans community.

Speaking to Belfast Live, the former Ulster Unionist Party leader was asked whether the experiences of transgender men who were born female are sometimes overlooked in the wider discussion following the UK Supreme Court’s ruling on the definition of sex in equality law.

Mr Beattie said there were “grey areas” that needed to be addressed, including how facilities should be provided for transgender people, but argued this should not come at the expense of women’s single-sex spaces or protections.

“The conversation I’m having is about women’s rights, what women deserve,” he said.

“It’s not about men’s rights, it’s about women’s rights. Now, of course, you know, when you talk about women’s rights, it suddenly has an effect on other people who are from the transgender community, but that’s not what the conversation is.

“The conversation is about women’s rights. Do women deserve to have their own spaces free from biological males? Yes. Do women deserve to have sport which is free of males? Yes, they do. Do women deserve to have language that is associated with women protected and not changed? Yes, they do.”

Mr Beattie said he believed transgender people should receive support, particularly around healthcare and bullying, but argued this should not undermine the rights of women.

“That’s the conversation about women’s rights. The conversation about the transgender community is a different conversation completely, although one’s been hijacked by the other.

“I look at the transgender community as a community; I think they need to be looked at. They need to be given support, particularly the bullying that they receive when they’re in schools. I think that needs to be looked at, and I’ve raised that on many occasions.

“I think that we need to make sure that we have healthcare which can help with them and deal with any of the issues that they have. So I’m fully supportive of the trans community and making sure they get assistance.

“What I’m not supportive of is them being able to trample over the rights of women. So we need to find a way around that, we can still do that by being respectful, and I’ve never said anything unrespectful, and if you have listened to, to any of the commentary I’ve given, I have not done anything about, the trans community.”

Reiterating his stance on privacy, he said: “Everything I’ve talked about is let’s make sure we secure women’s rights, women’s right to their own space, women’s right to privacy, women’s right to dignity, and women’s right not to have biological males be in their spaces.”

Mr Beattie was also asked about concerns that transgender men who were assigned female at birth but present as male could, under sex-based policies, be required to use female facilities.

“Anybody who’s biological male should be using biological male facilities. It’s as simple as that, and likewise for anybody who’s biologically female, they should be using biological female spaces.”

When asked what measures should be put in place to stop a predatory biological male from claiming to have been born female in order to access female spaces, he acknowledged there were complexities in some situations.

“Now there is of course a grey area there, and you’ve just highlighted that grey area about what do we do about those people who present in a particular, in a particular way, and for me there’s absolutely no issue whatsoever if we can provide spaces for them, you know, everybody talks about toilets and changing spaces, and that’s fine.

“This is not just about toilets and changing spaces. This is about women’s groups. This is about rape groups. This is about all sorts of sort of things.”

Mr Beattie said he believed practical solutions could be found, including additional facilities where appropriate.

“I’m for making sure that everybody has the facilities they need, and that means that in an area where we have a male toilet, a female toilet, and a unisex toilet, then why not.

“I think we can be innovative in what we do. I think we can support the trans community, but that’s what they are. You know, your sex is biological. You’re either male or female. But if you identify as something different, let’s make sure that we can support that, and the space is there for them. But let’s not destroy women’s rights in doing that.”

Red Dwarf originally aired on BBC Two from 1988 to 1999, before being later revived by Dave, airing from 2009 to 2020

The Red Dwarf V series follows the misadventures of Dave Lister (Craig Charles), the last known human alive, stranded three million years into deep space.

He is joined by a hologram of his former bunkmate Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie), Kryten the sanitation droid (Robert Llewellyn), the evolved Cat (Danny John-Jules), and the ship’s computer Holly (Hattie Hayridge).

From Thursday, August 13, Red Dwarf V will air live on BBC Two from 9pm.

It comes alongside a new venture for the franchise in print form, with a new book, Red: Dwarf Titan, released on July 15.

Co-written by series co-creator Rob Grant and Andrew Marshall, it serves as a semi-prequel to the events of the show.

In Red: Dwarf Titan, Lister and Rimmer receive “a message from the far future warning them that all realities are going to collapse unless they do something about it.”

The book explores events prior to those depicted in the series.

Edinburgh Fringe 2026: Critic picks of the best comedy shows to see at the festival

Edinburgh Fringe 2026: Critic picks of the best comedy shows to see at the festival

One of the great benefits of London in summer is the stacked line-ups at comedy clubs as performers try out their new material at Work in Progress (WIP) shows. It’s often a chance to see top quality comedians playing intimate spaces to audience members numbering in their dozens, honing their routine ready to do a run at the Edinburgh Fringe and onto the bigger theatres in the West End and around the country. The not-yet-polished sets can also bring bigger laughs as they deal with the moments that don’t work as planned, not to be seen by wider audiences when the final show reaches the stage.

I’ve been taking every chance I can to check out early versions of shows before the Fringe officially gets under way on Friday. Here are some of the highlights you might want to have on your radar if you’re planning your Fringe itinerary.

Freddie Meredith

Freddie Meredith is much loved by the young crowd at MOTH Club in Hackney, where he regularly hosts his Groom of the Stool mixed bill nights. Even skits based on Clarkson-era Top Gear potentially predating some of the east London audience work thanks to his oddman’s distant stare and uncomfortable self-awareness. Viewers who enjoyed him in his role as Seb in the seriously underappreciated BBC sitcom Such Brave Girls (even after its Bafta win) will have a fair expectation of his live persona. Need a Light? is at Baby Grand at Pleasance Courtyard.

Ele McKenzie

Also often seen in front of the MOTH Club’s gold curtain, Ele McKenzie: Bringing It All Back Home (Bunker Two at Pleasance Courtyard) likewise takes her debut show to the Fringe this year. Known for her role in BBC sitcom Funboys, she self-describes as ‘a sort of horny teenage boy in the body of an adult woman’, and I don’t think I could put it better. Expect some shame-free self-deprecation.

Harriet Richardson

Harriet Richardson had mouths agape when I watched an early WIP of her debut comedy show at The Bill Murray in Angel, titled on the nose, Creep (Below at Pleasance Courtyard). You may have seen the performance artist go viral for her 100 virtual dates on Valentine’s Day, which she playfully entertains us with at the start of this show. Then the story turns darker over the advances of a male TV comic to be date 101. Expect some buzz over this one.
