Sasha come home,” “Sasha, we love you

Mercedes Mone is going to challenge AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale for her title at All In: London. She earned this opportunity by winning the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament. She defeated Maya World in the finals, which happened at Forbidden Door 2026.

Renee Paquette was interviewing Willow Nightingale backstage on this week’s Dyanmite. However, the CEO unexpectedly showed up and blindsided the champion. She attacked Willow with the Owen Hart Cup belt and repeatedly whipped her with it when she was down. Interestingly, a WWE fan in the arena begged the former Sasha Banks to rejoin the Stamford-based promotion during this segment.

“Sasha come home! Sasha, we love you!” yelled the fan.

Mone was not happy about this. She released a statement on X a few hours ago, where she took a subtle shot at World Wrestling Entertainment. She addressed WWE fans as ‘feds’.

“They always send feds to watch our show! 😭🤑 #tbs #hbomax #tnt,” she wrote.

Mercedes Mone was under WWE’s banner from 2012 to 2022. She achieved immense success there, having won multiple World Titles. Although she is very happy in the Tony Khan-led company, she might rejoin the sports entertainment juggernaut someday.

Mercedes Mone wants to see a women’s main event on an AEW pay-per-view

The former Sasha Banks was interviewed by TV Insider last year. In this conversation, she said that her dream is to see a women’s main event on an AEW pay-per-view. She even showered the promotion’s women’s division with praise.

“I want to see the women main event on pay-per-view. I feel that is the next big thing we can do and accomplish. I feel within the last year-and-a-half people have really seen how amazing this women’s division is. Before they were just given a little match here, a little match here. People were demanding more time for them. They want to see the women because they are such stars. Within this last year-and-a-half you’ve seen stars come up like Toni Storm with her character change,” she said.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Mercedes Mone. She might dethrone Willow Nightingale at All In: London.
