  1. For the record, i think ab wheel rollouts are a great exercise especially for improving anti extension core stability but they are likely not the best choice for hypertrophy of the abs.

When doing leg resides you gotta actually curl you legs. your quads cross the hip so they probably do more by just raising legs. crunches are good but do them on a decline with your head lower than your body. or you can use cables which is perfect. also for the leg raises just roll your back upwards and crunch and your good

  15. Marlon Israetel keeps talking about systemic fatigue while that combo of words means nothing without more in-depth explanation. Systemic means you're referring to a system, so what system are you referring to? My guess is he's talking about CNS fatigue. It's just a buzzword and most of his content is based on getting as many views as possible rather than giving scientifically accurate advice.

Mike is a smart guy to be sure, but I feel recently he's been falling into the 'fitness/Bodybuilding matrix' wherein he forsakes everything he learned in favor of 'the stretch' and muscle building centered fitness. At this point he's trying to promote a brand rather than spread balanced fitness knowledge.

  29. “Useless because they’re bad for hypertrophy” this really displays everything that’s wrong YouTube fitness advice. All people care about is hyper trophy. Realistically your abs almost always work to resist movement in an isometric position making planks objectively one of the best a movements. Dr Mike is good source of information but literally only for hypertrophy, ignore him on everything else
