After learning the basics of Subnautica 2 and surviving your first few days on an unknown planet, you will soon start looking for resources. Among them, your first difficult challenge might turn out to be Silver, as it is one of the rarer early-game resources in Subnautica 2.
Moreover, Silver is a crucial resource for crafting several useful items, ranging from equipment like the Standard Air Tank to electronics like the Wiring Kit, which is needed in many other blueprints. If you have been struggling to find Silver in Subnautica 2 or could not figure out how to mine it, then this guide is meant for you.
Where to find Silver in Subnautica 2: Silver location guide
Even though Silver is rarer compared to other resources like Titanium and Copper, it generates in groups, meaning you only have to find one location to get a bunch of Silver at once.
We have found two excellent spots to mine Silver in Subnautica 2, and both of them are available quite early in the game.
First Silver mining spot
First Silver Ore location (Image via Unknown Worlds Entertainment)
To find the first Silver mining spot, you have to head north of the Lifepod until you reach the Old Habitat colony ruins. These ruins are around 350 meters away from the Lifepod, so prepare for a short trip.

After reaching the Old Habitat ruins, head east to find the entrance to a giant cave. This cave is filled with various metal deposits, including Silver. Make sure to thoroughly explore the cave and check around all its entrances. Since this location is close to the Old Habitat ruins, you can easily find your way back here by using the ruins’ signal.
Second Silver mining spot

The second Silver mining spot is located around 350 meters away from the Lifepod. To reach it, swim in the direction of 75 degrees, which is between northeast and east. This location has massive chunks of Silver waiting for you to mine them.
However, unlike the Silver in the first spot, you cannot mine large chunks of Silver using just your hands. To mine large Silver deposits, you will need to craft a Sonic Resonator. Use the Sonic Resonator on the big Silver chunks to break them down.
Apart from these two spots, there are likely several other locations for mining Silver in Subnautica 2. However, during the early game, these are probably among the closest and easiest locations to farm Silver.

What to do with Silver in Subnautica 2
Silver has many uses in Subnautica 2, but you will mostly find yourself using it to craft Wiring Kits. Players can use Wiring Kits to craft a variety of tools like the Repair Tool, Sonic Resonator, Wavemaker, and more. Silver is also directly or indirectly used in the following blueprints:
Standard Air Tank
Advanced Wiring Kit
System Chip
Dedicated Core
Hydroelectric Turbine
Power Cell Terminal
Scanner Station
Silver Ingot
Germanium (from Silver)
Tadpole
Scout Ray Chassis
Tadpole Haul Chassis
Some Tadpole upgrade modules
You will need Silver for most of your journey in Subnautica 2. Make sure to mark a few Silver farming locations, or you can always bookmark this article and come back to find these two easy locations again.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) lost to Mumbai Indians (MI) by six wickets in the IPL 2026 match at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday, May 14. With that, the Shreyas Iyer-led side registered their fifth consecutive defeat in IPL 2026.
Before losing to MI, they also suffered defeats against Delhi Capitals (DC), SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Rajasthan Royals (RR). It’s worth mentioning that they failed to defend 200 again in Dharamsala after a three-wicket defeat to the Capitals this season.
Having said that, the Punjab-based franchise have six wins in 12 games and are placed fourth in the points table. They have 13 points, including a shared point with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after a rain-abandoned fixture. With a couple of upcoming games against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), they can reach a maximum of 17 points if they win both their games.

PBKS are now in a tricky situation because even two wins cannot guarantee them a place in the top four ahead of the knockout matches. This is because five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have identical 12 points from 11 matches, which allows both teams to reach a maximum of 18 points. In such a scenario, they need results to go in their favour.
Meanwhile, table toppers RCB and second-placed GT share 16 points apiece after 12 matches. The duo can finish with a maximum of 20 points apiece. Meanwhile, SRH are third with 14 points in 12 games. They can end up with 18 points ahead of the playoffs.
Tilak Varma delivers as MI beat PBKS by 6 wickets in IPL 2026 match
Led by Tilak Varma, a clinical batting display helped MI chase down 201 against PBKS in an IPL 2026 match. Varma slammed an unbeaten 75 off 33 balls at a stunning strike rate of 227.27, including six maximums and as many boundaries. Ryan Rickelton also chipped in with 48 off 23, while Rohit Sharma and Sherfane Rutherford contributed with their 20s.

Will Jacks played a cameo, scoring an unbeaten 25 off 10, hitting two sixes and as many fours. Azmatullah Omarzai emerged as the leading wicket-taker for Punjab, finishing with figures of 2/36.
Invited to bat first, PBKS posted 200/8. Prabhsimran Singh top-scored with 57 off 32 deliveries. Azmatullah Omarzai, Vishnu Vinod and Xavier Bartlett chipped in with 38 (17), 15*(8), and 18*(7), respectively. Shardul Thakur bagged four wickets for MI, while Deepak Chahar took two.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are recognised as two of the best ever, but despite their 2015 meeting, fans continue to debate which man was the greatest. Now, world-renowned trainer Robert Garcia has had his say.
Pacquiao is boxing’s only ever eight-division world champion, having ruled at flyweight in 1998 and then in all divisions between super-bantamweight and super-welterweight over the course over his legendary career.
Although, unlike the self-proclaimed ‘TBE’, ‘Pac Man’ was defeated on eight occasions, including a defeat to Mayweather, who famously retired with a record of 50-0, after claiming world honours in five different weight divisions.

Yet, in a clip captured by RyckesportsTV, Garcia declared that, in his opinion, it is Pacquiao who sits higher in the ‘GOAT’ debate, due to the love that he received outside of the ring, as well as his skills within it.
“I think that Pacquiao was better. Mike Tyson said something to me, ‘to be the GOAT, it is not just because of your boxing record, you gotta be loved and accepted by the fans’ – and everyone loves Pacquiao.
“Like Tyson says, [you must be able to] walk down the street without bodyguards, everybody that comes up to you shakes your hand, when you can’t do that, you can’t be a GOAT if you can’t do that.”
Another early playoff exit for the Los Angeles Lakers has reopened familiar NBA arguments around LeBron James and his place in basketball history. Even after two decades of records, championships and longevity that few athletes in any sport have matched, the debate around James still refuses to cool down. This time, the criticism came from Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway Sr., whose latest comments about LeBron quickly became one of the league’s biggest offseason talking points following the Lakers’ postseason disappointment.
Hardaway did not simply leave James outside his personal GOAT conversation. The former five-time NBA All-Star went further by placing multiple legends ahead of the Lakers star and questioning whether LeBron carries the same mentality as some of basketball’s most feared champions.
Tim Hardaway Sr. Questions LeBron James’ Place Among NBA Greats

Debates around LeBron’s legacy usually centre on comparisons with Michael Jordan. Hardaway’s list, though, pushed James far lower than many expected. The Hall of Famer named Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaquille O’Neal as players he believes rank above James all-time. What caught even more attention was the reasoning behind it. Hardaway focused heavily on mentality, leadership and what he described as “killer instinct” during pressure moments in the playoffs. “These guys they go by championships, and they go by the killer tenacity that these guys have. Like Magic, Michael, Kareem, Kobe. They had killer instinct. They came out and they didn’t let their team wilder. They gave their team confidence. I love LeBron, I’m a LeBron fan. But at times, he doesn’t bring it the way we want him to bring it. Like James Harden, we want him to bring it. We know what he can do, we want to see that.”
The comparison to James Harden instantly became the most controversial part of Hardaway’s comments. While Harden has often faced criticism over playoff performances throughout his career, James remains a four-time NBA champion with one of the most accomplished postseason resumes in league history.
Lakers Playoff Exit Keeps LeBron James Legacy Debate Alive
The timing of Hardaway’s comments matters because questions around the Lakers’ direction are already dominating NBA offseason discussions. At 41 years old and entering his 23rd season, LeBron remains productive, but every playoff defeat now intensifies conversations about legacy, roster construction and championship expectations in Los Angeles.

The Lakers are expected to stay active in trade rumours and free agency as they attempt to maximise what could be the final stage of James’ career. But criticism surrounding LeBron’s approach in big moments clearly has not disappeared, even among former NBA stars who openly admit admiration for him.

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with the team until the 2030 World Cup.
The 66-year-old Italian coach, who took over in May 2025, had already hinted the extension was likely and confirmed the deal in a video published by the Brazilian soccer confederation, CBF, on Thursday.
The announcement comes shortly before Ancelotti reveals his Brazil squad for the upcoming World Cup on Monday.
“I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the first minute, I understood what football means to this country. For a year, we have been working to take the Brazilian national team back to the top of the world. But the CBF and I want more,” Ancelotti said. “More victories, more time, more work. We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for another four years. We will go together until the 2030 World Cup.”
The former Real Madrid and AC Milan coach has had a troubled spell in Brazil so far, with many injured players and doubts as to whether his team can be a serious contender for the title at the tournament in North America. Under Ancelotti, Brazil has five wins, three losses and two draws in 10 games.
Ancelotti replaced Dorival Junior last year after some lackluster performances and had to scramble quickly to complete South American qualifying for the World Cup.

Mercedes Mone has not been seen in AEW for quite some time, but a recent real-life development involving a top AEW star could lead to the CEO’s return to the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Mercedes Mone’s name is listed among the greatest female wrestlers of all time. This recognition reflects her immense body of work, including her time as Sasha Banks in WWE and now in AEW as the CEO. Currently, the former TBS champion is on hiatus from the Jacksonville-based promotion, a break that began at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash, where she lost the title. During her absence, the wrestling world saw multiple reports suggesting she would return soon, and Mone herself hinted at a comeback on social media, but she has yet to return. As we navigate the fifth month of her absence, an unfortunate real-life issue involving a top AEW star, Persephone, may finally result in the CEO’s return to Tony Khan’s promotion.
It was recently confirmed that Persephone has suffered a legitimate and severe foot injury sustained in late April. As a result, the Mexican star was written off TV during a recent episode of Collision. Interestingly, Persephone was announced for this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament on this week’s Dynamite despite the injury. It is highly likely that Persephone will be unable to recover in time for her Round 1 match at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view, which opens the possibility of Tony Khan replacing her with Mercedes Mone.
Thekla has her say on Mercedes Mone’s AEW status
In a recent exclusive interview with Westwood One Sports Night, reigning AEW Women’s Champion Thekla was asked to comment on Mercedes Mone, but she chose to defer the comment to a later date. The Toxic Spider said she has interesting details about her in relation to the CEO, but they will have to wait before seeing the light of day.
“That’s a tough one. You know, I’m not gonna answer that because I think there will be a day where I’m going to reveal stuff that is interesting about me in relation to Mercedes. So I’m not gonna say anything,” said Thekla
Mercedes Mone returning to take Persephone’s place in the Owen Hart Cup is definitely a play Tony Khan can run, but for now it is a speculative angle, and it remains to be seen how Mone’s return to All Elite Wrestling will unfold.

Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA) is set to receive a $200 million investment from its parent company, Collectors, according to an announcement on Thursday.
The purpose of the investment is to help “grow the company’s physical footprint, develop and deploy new technology and hire for 1,000 open and planned positions through 2026,” per The Athletic.
Those in the collectibles or card-collecting game are very familiar with PSA. It is considered the top option when submitting a trading card or collectible to get “graded.” A PSA-10 grade is the highest possible grade and tends to substantially increase the product’s value.
Conversely, a low grade from PSA — like an 8.0 or below — tanks the item’s worth. The lone stipulation is that if somehow your item is graded a PSA 1, the lowest possible grade, some collectors actually hunt for those grades, and it does have some merit.
PSA is the industry leader in grading collectibles. The main product is trading cards, and in 2025, PSA graded over 19 million cards. Their largest competitor reportedly graded only about 5 million cards.
While 19 million is extremely impressive, it is also up 2 million from 2024, indicating a clear need for expansion to meet consumers’ ongoing needs.
Collectors president Ryan Hoge spoke with The Athletic about the investment and planned expansion.
“ To maintain the PSA standard at this scale, we have to grow holistically. This expansion impacts the entire life cycle of a collectible—from a larger, more efficient receiving and logistics area to an expanded grading floor that accommodates our growing team.
We are also significantly increasing our PSA Vault footprint to ensure we provide the most secure environment for the high-value collections entrusted to us.”
Part of the expansion and investment will be to create more than 1,000 new jobs at the company. Those who submit cards for grading will likely be intrigued by this option, as currently it can take up to 160 business days to receive your graded submission back from the company, depending on the level of service you pay for.
So far, PSA has graded more than 8 million cards in 2026, a 39% year-over-year increase. This is a trend that is measured and that Hoge says is part of why the expansion is necessary.
“We do not view the current demand as a temporary surge.
The global collecting community has experienced a historic and sustained boom, and the market has fundamentally matured. … Every dollar of this $200 million is backed by exhaustive data modeling to ensure we are building a sustainable infrastructure that protects the health of the hobby for the next decade, not just the next month.”
PSA is headquartered in Southern California but, over the last five years, has opened additional facilities in Florida, New Jersey, Texas and Tokyo. Each grader at the company must go through “Graders University,” a collectors’ training program for product trading, and part of the investment will go toward streamlining and expanding that venture, per Hoge.
“A portion of this investment is dedicated to ‘Graders University,’ our industry-leading training program. Every new PSA grader must complete this rigorous curriculum and execute thousands of supervised evaluations before grading independently.
Part of our $200 million commitment is integrating new technology directly into that training process and expanding education on emerging counterfeit techniques, ensuring our experts have the best possible education before they ever touch a customer’s card.”
The hobby has a history of predominantly being focused on sports cards. In more recent years, increased interest in Pokémon, trading card games (TCG), and non-sports cards led Collectors to increase their efforts to expand to meet the ever-increasing demands of the public.
If the numbers continue to increase the way they have for PSA, this may not be the last expansion in the company’s future.
