Victor Osimhen has returned to full training after recovering from the arm injury he suffered during last month’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
The Super Eagles striker, who had surgery after the injury, was back training with his Galatasaray teammates. Although he is still wearing a protective bandage on his arm, he looked sharp and close to full fitness.
Osimhen is expected to be available for selection this Saturday when Galatasaray face Gençlerbirliği. His return comes at a key time for the club, who have dropped points in recent matches and seen their lead at the top reduced.
The forward is also eager to return straight into the starting line-up after holding talks with manager Okan Buruk.
Meanwhile, Paul Onuachu is also close to full fitness ahead of Trabzonspor’s important league match this weekend.
The striker is expected back in training on Thursday after missing the 1-1 draw with Alanyaspor due to discomfort in his left thigh. Medical tests later confirmed that the injury was not serious.
Onuachu has been in excellent form this season and currently leads the Turkish Super Lig scoring chart with 22 goals. His return will be a big boost for Trabzonspor as they prepare to face Istanbul Basaksehir.
Both Nigerian forwards are returning at an important stage of the season, giving their clubs a timely lift in the title race.
