Moses Itauma closing in on opponent for ‘massive test’ in August

Published

on

Moses Itauma is set to continue his pursuit of the heavyweight world title when he headlines the O2 Arena in August. Now, an opponent is close to being confirmed in a fight that promoter Frank Warren believes the youngster faces a ‘massive test’.

Itauma has breezed through the opposition in all 14 of his professional bouts to date and is well placed for a world title challenge at just 21 years old, positioned as the WBO mandatory challenger and ranked number one with the WBA.

Following his latest win against Jermaine Franklin Jr in March, Itauma announced that he would have liked to face Croatia’s Filip Hrgovic next, seemingly disappointed that the Rio 2016 bronze medallist was scheduled to take on Dave Allen instead.

However, after stopping Allen with ease on Saturday inside just three rounds, Hrgovic shared his willingness for a quick turnaround and a clash with Itauma. Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Warren confirmed his interest in that proposed contest.

“I would like to see that fight [between Itauma and Hrgovic] happen. There is negotiations going on and I would love to see that fight happen, it is a massive test for Moses and a massive fight.

“That has got fight written all over it, hasn’t it? It’d be an exciting fight, if we can make it happen.”

The comments echo those of Warren’s son, George, who said after the Allen fight that his immediate goal is to get the bout signed.

Itauma will headline the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, August 8, in what will be his second main event slot, as he looks to continue to build his profile. If the Hrgovic fight makes it over the line, assuming the cut suffered by the Croatian against Allen is healed in time, it will indeed be the most significant step up in Itauma’s career so far.

Sugar Ray Leonard ranks one member of the Four Kings above the others

Published

on

Sugar Ray Leonard believes there is a clear choice for which of his fellow ‘Four Kings’ was the best of the lot.

The legendary quartet of Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran and Thomas Hearns dominated the boxing landscape throughout the 1980s, as they each took part in epic battles with one another.

Leonard has the honour of being the only one who was able to beat the other three, though he wasn’t able to go undefeated against his rivals after suffering a loss to Duran.

While he may have come up short against the Panamanian icon, Leonard sided with another of the prestigious boxers as being the best, telling Ring Magazine that he believes Hearns ranks above the others.

“It was Tommy [Hearns]. I don’t think anything matches our first fight.”

Leonard fought Hearns on two occasions, the first of which coming in September 1981, where ‘The Hitman’ suffered a 14th round stoppage loss in their welterweight world title unification.

The pair collided again at super-middleweight at the end of the decade, with their June 1989 ending in a controversial split decision draw, though many onlookers believed that Hearns had done enough to win.

It’s clear why Leonard views Hearns as being the best that the ‘Four Kings’ had to offer, with ‘The Hitman having had an illustrious career which saw him become the first boxer in history to win world titles in five divisions.

Those triumphs came at welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight, as Hearns finished with 61 wins from his 67 professional fights.

“This is a new level of stupid”- Fans shut down viral NDA rumors linking BTS’ RM and a concertgoer after Stanford interaction goes viral

Published

on

Following BTS’ three-night concert run at Stanford Stadium on May 16, 17, and 19, 2026 as part of the ARIRANG World Tour, a brief interaction between the group’s leader RM and a fan became the center of online discussion. The moment gained traction after a concertgoer shared a video showing the rapper reacting to her sign board that read, “Namjoon, I’m a pro rider”. The sentence was a reference to a lyric from the rapper’s track Nuts from his second studio album Right Place, Wrong Person.

The clip quickly spread across social media platforms, with many fans initially treating the interaction as a lighthearted concert moment. However, the conversation escalated after screenshots and reposts on X began circulating alongside claims that the fan had allegedly “signed an NDA” involving RM.

The speculation reportedly stemmed from sarcastic replies and joke posts made by fans online after the concert. As the posts gained traction, some internet users began presenting the comments as factual, leading to wider rumors suggesting that RM had been romantically or physically involved with the fan.

The situation prompted many BTS fans to push back against the speculation, arguing that the comments were clearly intended as jokes and criticizing the way the discussion had spiraled online. Several fans also pointed out that references to non-disclosure agreements were frequently used jokingly on social media in celebrity-related conversations. One fan wrote,

“This this is a new level of stupid cause not only can you NOT mention an nda, even vaguely, y’all genuinely believing a fan saying she “had s*x” with a whole a** kpop idol please be serious for a second”

This is a new level of stupid cause not only can you NOT mention an nda, even vaguely, y’all genuinely believing a fan saying she “had s**” with a whole a** kpop idol please be serious for a second

Others echoed similar reactions, calling for people not to spread unverified claims or turn sarcastic remarks into rumors presented as fact.

Bro it’s sarcasm. You’re so slow.

no way y’all actually believe this lmao. if she really signed an NDA she wouldn’t be able to even vaguely mention it like this, it would break the NDA and she’d get in trouble. she’s obviously milking this for attention and to fulfill her Y/N fantasies

I can’t stop laughing, THIS IS REALLY PULLING CLUES OUT OF HIS A**

Meanwhile, some fans joked about the viral claims involving RM, sarcastically calling the people spreading the rumors “delusional” while others playfully denied the allegations.

im gonna start a rumor about myself

if i ever become this messy and delusional and my grown age just shoot me bro

false information! namjoon was at my house that night

Some others also questioned the backlash, arguing that even if such claims were true, both individuals are adults and any alleged interaction would have been consensual.

If they are both adults and it was consensual, so what is the problem?
