NBA Analyst Charles Barkley Chimes in on Ice Spice McDonald’s Fiasco

Published

on

There’s never a dull moment with Charles Barkley on the desk.

During the Saturday, April 18 playoff edition of “Inside the NBA” talk show, Barkley, 63, chimed in on the obscure story involving rapper Ice Spice’s recent altercation with a fan in a McDonald’s restaurant.

“I hear they got some slappy happy meals over there,” Barkley said during the show — which is sponsored by the fast food restaurant. “You see Ice Spice got slapped at McDonald’s? What you doing at McDonald’s in the middle of the night Ice Spice? Come on, stop that. Get it to go.”

The off-the-cuff comment came while fellow analyst Ernie Johnson was finishing up an ad read for McDonald’s.

Rapper Ice Spice has addressed her now-viral confrontation with a woman inside a McDonald’s restaurant in Los Angeles. “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” Ice Spice, 26, wrote via X on Friday, April 17, alongside security footage from the alleged incident. The rap star overlaid her 2023 song “Deli” over CCTV footage of the then-unidentified patron […]

“Presented by McDonald’s. How about that, presented by McDonald’s Chuck,” Ernie Johnson said, before Barkey’s rant.

Johnson tried to wrap up the show, but Barkley wasn’t quite done talking about McDonald’s.

“I love McDonald’s,” Barkley said. “Fish fillet is the greatest sandwich ever. Just dip it in that little barbecue sauce. Eat half, double dip.”

From there, Barkley seemed to be just getting started.

“They got a slappy happy meal over there,” he continued later in the show. “Let Ice Spice eat in peace! … She should have slapped her in the face with a Big Mac. You walk up on me, everything’s on the table.”

At that point, the show’s producers got in on the fun, showing the security cam footage from the Ice Spice incident at the restaurant.

“Oh, come on, Spice. Leave that woman alone,” Barkley said as the clip played.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 15, when Ice Spice, 26, and her friend were approached by a fan while eating at a McDonald’s.

The incident escalated into a full fight after the fan slapped Ice Spice, and the rapper retaliated. When the fan ran outside of the restaurant, Ice Spice followed, continuing the brawl.

Security camera footage from the incident quickly went viral on social media.

“This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” Ice Spice wrote via X on Friday, April 17, alongside the security footage from the alleged incident.

For whatever it’s worth, the rapper has a partnership with Wendy’s.

“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” the singer’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told Page Six in a statement. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”

Margot Robbie's R-Rated Expose Will Permanently Change Your View Of Reality

By TeeJay Small
| Published

Born in the late 1990s, I’ve spent my entire life hearing the name “Tonya Harding” used as a punchline. I never had much awareness of who she was, but based on some old Simpsons jokes and a few misplaced rap lyrics, I always thought she was a skater who busted her opponent’s kneecaps on the ice in a fit of passion, right in front of a packed crowd. That is, until last week, when I finally sat down to watch Craig Gillespie’s 2017 biopic I, Tonya.

For the uninitiated, I, Tonya tells the true story of Tonya Harding (Margot Robbie), with a little bit of creative license for story purposes. The film takes the viewer from Tonya’s years as a child figure skating prodigy, through her relationship with her abusive mother (Allison Janney) and later her abusive boyfriend (Sebastian Stan), and eventually to her Olympic skating dreams. Through it all, we see how Tonya was mistreated by those closest to her and by the Olympic committee, which viewed her as too unmarketable to home audiences.

Over several years, the budding athlete is forced to change everything about herself to get ahead. She marries her abusive boyfriend just so she can present a more family-forward image, she changes her accent so she won’t be perceived as ‘white trash’, and she adjusts her management team to be as cutthroat and unforgiving as possible.

Tonya even managed to become the first female figure skater to complete two triple Axel jumps in a competition. I don’t know much about skating, but it looked pretty impressive in the movie, as I watched from the comfort of my couch, covered in popcorn kernels.

Once she qualifies for the 1994 Olympics, the narrative kicks into slightly familiar territory. We learn that Tonya, along with many of her peers, routinely receives death threats before going out on the ice. When her husband, Jeff, suspects that the threats are coming from Tonya’s friend, Nancy Kerrigan, he suggests sending a few threats of their own, just to rattle her performance. Jeff outsources the job to his eccentric buddy Shawn (Paul Walter Hauser), who outsources it to someone else, and by the time this game of telephone reaches Nancy, the job ceases to be a threat and becomes a violent attack.

If you believe Tonya Harding’s account of the events (and thus the movie’s telling of how it all went down), she had no idea any of this was happening. The way she relays it, Tonya thought someone was dropping a letter in Nancy’s mailbox. Instead, Nancy was beaten with a baton, leaving her unable to compete in a national competition, which, ironically, fast-tracked her to the Olympic team.

Kerrigan ultimately took home the silver medal for her performance at the 1994 Olympics, while an emotionally rattled Tonya placed eighth. Upon returning home, Harding is barred from competing in any competitive figure skating event for the rest of her life.

Since she has structured her entire existence around the sport, Tonya sees this as a death sentence and begs for jail time, to no avail. Truthfully, I had no idea that an organization could even make a ruling like that in the first place.

Before I watched I, Tonya, I had only ever heard this woman’s name alongside those of O.J. Simpson, Aaron Hernandez, and Oscar Pistorius. It goes to show just how strong the media narrative was at the time that she could be banned from her livelihood and turned into a punchline for decades to come.

The film does an impeccable job of humanizing Tonya and making her more sympathetic, as long as you believe her account of what happened. Even if you don’t believe her, it’s still a hell of a story, and one I’m glad I finally got around to checking out.

If you’re interested in watching I, Tonya, the film is currently streaming for free on Tubi.

Louisiana Police Arrest Man Linked To Gun Shamar Elkins Used

A 56-year-old man from Shreveport was arrested and charged in connection with the mass shooting carried out by Shamar Elkins. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana, Charles Ford previously owned the assault-style gun Elkins used to shoot his wife, Shaneiqua Pugh, and his alleged girlfriend, Christina Snow on Sunday. Both women remain in the hospital. Ultimately, Shamar killed his seven children and Pugh’s nephew and later died amid a police pursuit.

Man Charged Claims Shamar Elkins Stole The Gun From Him

Charles Ford told investigators he suspected Shamar Elkins stole the gun from his truck in the weeks leading up to the mass shooting. According to a criminal complaint filed in federal court, Ford suspected Elkins because he was one of the few people to ride with him. Ford allegedly said it was around March 9 when he noticed the gun was missing.

In response, Ford said he confronted Elkins about the missing weapon. But when Elikns became “offensive,” Ford “let it go,” according to a court affidavit filed Tuesday.

“According to allegations set forth in court documents, ATF and the Shreveport Police Department began investigating a firearms trace on the rifle below, which Elkins used to perpetrate his mass shooting,” per the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Louisiana.

Photo from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Louisiana.

Why Did Officials Charge Charles Ford After Louisiana Mass Shooting?

Charles Ford is a felon who was in possession of a firearm and made a false statement to federal agents, says the affidavit. Ford originally denied having the gun when investigators first approached him after the shooting on Sunday, per court records.

“When law enforcement interviewed the original purchaser, that person identified Ford as the person to whom she’d given it. Ford, a convicted felon not permitted to possess firearms, initially lied to ATF agents about possessing the firearm, claiming he never did. Ford later admitted that he did possess the firearm, claiming that he kept the firearm under his seat,” per the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Louisiana.

Ford does not currently have an appointed legal representative. According to federal court records, he will likely receive a federal public defender.

“Shamar Elkins’ death means that our community will never see him face justice,” U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Keller said in a statement. “Our hope, as we continue to investigate and prosecute this case alongside our law enforcement partners, is that holding the person whose gun Elkins used to perpetrate the crime accountable will give some small bit of solace to our Shreveport community.”

What Happened To Shamar Elkins After The Family Shooting?

Shamar Elkins died after fleeing the second crime scene — reportedly his wife’s home — and a police pursuit. It was not clear whether officers killed him or whether he died from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to police. The third crime scene involved a carjacking in the same neighborhood.

Elkins’ wife, Shaneiqua Pugh, and Christina Snow, a woman believed to be his girlfriend, were also shot and wounded in the rampage. The attack unfolded across two houses before dawn.

Three boys, Christina’s sons and Shaneiqua’s nephew, passed away. Additionally, Pugh’s four daughters also passed. Elkins was the father of seven out of eight who died. Snow reportedly called the police to report that Elkins had shot her and kidnapped their three children. According to NBC News, he took the kids to his wife’s home about two streets over and killed them, along with their four sisters. One child was reportedly found deceased on the home’s roof, while others had tried to escape through the back door. Some died in their sleep, and most suffered headshot wounds. The children ranged in age from 3 to 11 years old.

Elkins plead guilty in 2019 to a felony of illegal use of weapons, according to court documents. As a result, a Caddo Parish district judge sentenced Elkins to 18 months of supervised probation. Also, Elkins turned his handgun into police as a condition of probation, court filings show.

Under Louisiana law, a person convicted of certain violent felonies – including illegal use of weapons – is banned from having a gun for at least 10 years after completing their sentence and probation. Officials have not addressed whether Elkins was legally prohibited from having a weapon.

Star Trek: Voyager’s Best Special Effect Was Almost A Disappointment

Published

on

Voyager

By Chris Snellgrove
| Published

Voyager

Star Trek: Voyager had plenty of special effects, but arguably none were more impressive than when the ship landed on a planet in the Season 2 premiere episode “The Thirty-Sevens.” This was a first for the franchise, bringing to life one of Gene Roddenberry’s ideas that he had previously considered too expensive to show onscreen. However, this effect was almost a disappointment thanks to behind-the-scenes production issues, including improperly designed landing struts and a CGI model that was just too small.

This particular Voyager special effect was one the team had been dreaming of for a long time. Franchise graphic designer Michael Okuda previously recommended to exec producer Rick Berman that their ship should be able to land as a way to distinguish it from what came before.

Accordingly, Rick Sternbach had developed several possible ship designs with landing capability, and he ensured that the finished design featured small hatches on the bottom hull to house landing equipment. It was only after designing those struts, however, that producers realized that the ship’s “legs” looked far too thin to support its body.

The shot of Voyager landing on a planet in “The 37’s” was meant to be a big, show-stopping special effect, and producers were understandably concerned that viewers would be disappointed if it looked like the ship always skipped leg day. In the grand tradition of television, they decided to fix this problem in post-production.

They fixed it by placing rock outcroppings and other ground features strategically around Voyager as it landed. Go back and watch the episode, and you’ll see how they effectively obscured audiences’ view of those teeny landing struts.

However, that wasn’t the only problem with Voyager’s fancy special effect. The show’s digital artists had accidentally made the CGI model of the ship too tiny. This annoyed visual effects supervisor Ronald B. Moore (not to be confused with Trek writer and Battlestar Galactica reboot showrunner Ronald D. Moore), who was disappointed by the landing effect because “the scale of the Voyager on the ground was incorrect.” However, he didn’t feel that audiences would necessarily notice “because there’s nothing really to relate it to; the people are in the foreground, the ship’s in the background, and we kinda kept it that way.”

For longtime Star Trek fans, this Voyager moment was more than just another special effect; it was also the realization of a decades-old dream that began with Gene Roddenberry. The franchise creator had originally dreamed of having the Enterprise regularly land on planets in The Original Series, but he soon realized just how expensive it would be to have the ship land somewhere new each week. This is how the transporter was born, as it allowed Captain Kirk and his erstwhile crew to quickly visit somewhere new and then head back to the ship via a much cheaper “beam me up” special effect.

Voyager’s producers came to the same conclusion that Roddenberry did, which is why the show mostly stuck to the transporter special effect rather than constantly having the ship land. Nonetheless, it landed several more times after “The Thirty-Sevens,” and producers had a much easier time bringing this ambitious effect to life on their subsequent attempts.

They did so despite the ship’s CGI model being too small, which arguably proves that size really doesn’t matter in the 24th century. We wouldn’t recommend telling that to Captain Janeway about her morning coffee cup sizes, though, unless you want her to kill you quicker than she killed Tuvix!

The Best Marvel Series of All Time Officially Returns on June 13

Published

on

X-Men 97 Disney Plus TV Series Poster

2026 has already been a big year for Marvel with the return of Daredevil: Born Again, which is now in the heat of Season 2 after bringing back the fan-favorite Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter). Fans of Marvel’s Defenders will be treated to more content next month when Jon Bernthal returns to reprise his role as The Punisher in a new Disney+ special, titled One Last Kill, which will be released one week after the Season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again. Bernthal will also return this summer to star as The Punisher on the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Spider-Man title to feature Tom Holland in a lead role. The film will lead into Avengers: Doomsday, which will premiere in theaters later this year on December 18.

However, mixed in the middle of all this live-action madness is the Season 2 return of Marvel’s highest-rated project ever, X-Men ‘97. The first season of X-Men ‘97 aired at the beginning of 2024, and while there was some creative turnover around the time of its debut, it has since recovered and is ready to premiere this year. Just yesterday, it was announced that X-Men ‘97 Season 2 will have its official world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 13. Marvel Animation has yet to officially assign X-Men ‘97 a spot on the Disney+ release calendar, but its debut at Tribeca this summer suggests the worldwide premiere will likely followshortly after. It would be shocking if X-Men ‘97 Season 2 were released any later than July this year.

What’s Going To Happen in ‘X-Men ’97’ Season 2?

Plot details regarding X-Men ‘97 Season 2 are still being kept under wraps for now, but during a panel earlier this year moderated by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt, X-Men ‘97 star Ross Marquand teased some gruesome deaths in store for some fan-favorite characters. He even admitted that he’s surprised Disney greenlit the show for Season 2, considering how violent it’s going to be. Now that Apocalypse is in the picture and the X-Men are scattered across space and time, their only hope of taking down the gravest threat they’ve ever faced is to find a way to reunite and work together, like they’ve always done.

Check out the first season of X-Men ‘97 on Disney+ and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of Season 1.

Tina Knowles Drops A Telling Comment On Solange Post

Published

on

Tina Knowles on the red carpet

Tina Knowles is at the center of unexpected online chatter after leaving what some fans are calling a “too personal” comment on a recent post by her daughter, Solange Knowles.

The remark quickly picked up traction across social media, with users dissecting its tone and some suggesting it hinted at favoritism toward Beyoncé. Others argued it was simply a mother making sure Solange didn’t feel overlooked.

The viral moment has also revived Tina’s past reflections on raising her daughters. The Knowles family matriarch placed them in therapy as children after noticing a strain in their bond, under the weight of Beyoncé’s early fame.

Tina is giving full-on “embarrassing mom” energy after dropping a deeply personal comment under Solange’s latest Instagram post.

The “Don’t Touch My Hair” singer had shared a series of striking images centered around her hair, including shots where it appeared partially shaved, alongside others showing it styled into sculpted sections with visible markings.

But it was Tina’s response that stole the spotlight.

“You look like an Egyptian goddess. Which is appropriate because you were conceived on a boat going down the Egyptian Nile. Only you could shave your hair, let it grow out some and, cut this incredible shape, and do it all and look as gorgeous as ever,” she wrote, finishing off the message with fire and heart emojis.

The comment didn’t stay under the radar for long, with many social media users pointing out just how personal Tina got.

Some read it as harmless “mom energy,” but others suggested the moment hinted at a deeper dynamic between Solange and Beyoncé.

“Ms. Tina just didn’t want Solange to feel overshadowed by Beyoncé, so she’s always been very intentional & open about going the extra mile to make sure she feels seen. That’s why she so extra when it comes to her, she explained this a few times,” one X user wrote.

Another added, “She never hides the fact that Solange is her favorite and she still dreams about the night she was conceived and riding d-ck down the Nile.”

“A mom would say this, then turn around acting like she doesn’t have a favorite,” a third person chimed in.

Why Tina Knowles Had Beyoncé And Solange In Therapy Early

Tina has long been vocal about her hands-on role in raising her daughters, and recently shed more light on one of her more proactive parenting decisions.

Speaking at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books while promoting her memoir “Matriarch,” Tina revealed she put both girls in therapy when they were still very young, after noticing a shift in their relationship as Beyoncé’s career began to take off.

“I just noticed she started being irritated with [Solange] and not wanting her around,” she explained. “And the more she didn’t want her around, the more sad Solange became.”

The Author Faced Pushback From Family

Tina went on to explain that once she recognized the strain between her daughters, she knew she needed outside help and set out to find it herself.

“One of my clients at my hair salon was a therapist, and I asked her to find me a child therapist. I found someone, and I took my kids to therapy,” she said.

But the decision wasn’t universally supported within her circle.

According to Tina, several family members pushed back against the idea, particularly given the stigma around therapy at the time.

“My family did not like it. Especially in Black households, they were like, ‘You know, that’ll make those kids crazy,’” she recalled.

Tina Knowles Says Therapy Changed Her Daughters’ Bond

Tina ultimately said the decision paid off and helped reshape the relationship between Beyoncé and Solange at a critical stage in their childhood.

“It opened Beyoncé’s eyes. She was like, ‘This is my little sister. We’re always going to be close. I’m going to take care of her, and I’m not going to let the age difference get between us.’ She was much kinder,” Tina shared.

From that point on, their bond took a different direction.

“They’ve been close ever since,” she added, before admitting, “They could have gone in different directions. I was so afraid of that.”

After making incredible progress over the past few years, the country star found himself slipping into old habits during the holidays and dealing with an unexpected injury that disrupted his routine.

Now, he’s being honest about the fear, frustration, and renewed determination shaping his next chapter.

Jelly Roll revealed that his progress took a hit toward the end of last year after he eased up on his strict routine.

After years of discipline, the singer chose to enjoy the holiday season without holding back, a decision that quickly changed the momentum he had built.

“We hit the goal and it was right before the holidays, so I was like, ‘You know what man, I’ve been working hard for the last three years losing this weight, I’m going to enjoy the holidays,’” he explained in a YouTube video.

That mindset led to a series of indulgent meals, including Thanksgiving, his birthday, and Christmas.

Things became more complicated when he suffered a broken collarbone just days before Christmas, forcing him to stop exercising altogether.

“I had a big Thanksgiving meal, I had a big birthday meal, I ate a big Christmas meal. Kinda got off the rails and I broke my collarbone … a few days before Christmas,” the singer said per PEOPLE

As his routine slipped, Jelly Roll also began avoiding something that had once been a key part of his progress: the scale.

The 41-year-old admitted that fear started to take over, making it harder to confront where he stood.

“I have, to some degree, lost my way,” he said candidly, acknowledging how far he had drifted from his earlier discipline.

Jelly Roll went on to describe the anxiety he felt about weighing himself again, saying, “I am scared to [weigh in]. I feel really fat, I feel really bloated, I feel like the scales are going to let me down.”

Eventually, he faced that fear and stepped on the scale, revealing he weighed 276.2 lbs., a gain of 12 pounds.

Reflecting on the situation, he admitted, “Avoiding weighing in has been the problem.”

Despite the setback, Jelly Roll is not giving up on his transformation. The artist, who began his journey in 2023 at over 500 lbs and has since lost an impressive 275 lbs., is now setting new goals to keep himself motivated.

He shared that he wants to continue losing weight and is aiming to drop another 40 to 50 pounds to reach his desired maintenance level.

At the same time, he’s pushing himself toward a challenge he never imagined before.

“I’ve never ran a marathon or thought about running a marathon,” he said, revealing plans to take on the New York City marathon in November.

Beyond fitness, he also has personal milestones in mind, including a bold visual goal that reflects how far he has come.

“I know it’s getting real silly now, but I just believe there’s a story that a guy can go from 560 lbs. to a shirt off picture, it’s absurd,” he shared.

Earlier in March, Jelly Roll opened up about a painful “secret” he kept just days before his big Grammy wins, revealing he was seriously injured but still powered through the event.

As The Blast reported, the country star shared that he broke his collarbone after flipping an ATV shortly before the 2026 Grammys but chose not to tell anyone at the time.

He admitted, “I was out there running all over the Grammys with a broken collarbone,” adding, “Every time I hugged somebody… I wanted to scream.”

Despite the intense pain, he walked the red carpet and went on to win three major awards that night.

Jelly Roll later explained that he kept the injury quiet because he didn’t want it to overshadow the moment.

Looking back, he described the experience as both joyful and physically overwhelming.

A few weeks before his Grammy win, Jelly Roll revealed his fame had officially hit a new level after a surreal moment in Los Angeles made him realize just how big he had become.

According to The Blast, the rapper shared that while walking along Rodeo Drive, a place he used to visit anonymously, he was suddenly recognized by fans, something that had never happened to him before.

“For real. I’m California famous now,” he said, describing the experience as a turning point in his career.

The moment stood out even more because Jelly Roll, had spent over two decades grinding in the industry before breaking into the mainstream in recent years.

He admitted he used to enjoy visiting Beverly Hills precisely because “nobody knows me,” making the sudden attention feel both shocking and validating.

Now, with major awards, chart-topping hits, and growing recognition across the country, Jelly Roll said the unexpected encounter marked a clear sign that his career had reached a whole new height.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) - Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters)

Young and the Restless early weekly spoilers for April 27th through May 1st reveal Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) being trapped and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) absolutely disgusted.

As we always do on early edition day, we go through what’s happening the rest of this week, then dig into what is ahead next week.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, April 22nd: Jack Sends Diane A Note

So, on Wednesday, April 22nd, we’ve got Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) sending Diane a note and a vintage ring, and Jack’s begging forgiveness, saying he loves Diane. Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is over at Jack’s house talking about both of their marriage issues. And Jack’s heard that Diane won’t give him benefit of the doubt on the Patty situation.

And he and Nikki agree that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is disgusting for setting all this up. Nikki says her marriage may really be over. Jack offers Nikki a scone as Diane walks in. The spoiler for this scene, by the way, says Diane catches Jack and Nikki in a compromising position. Jack and Nikki eating pastry is not a compromising position unless they’re doing it naked in bed.

Y&R Spoilers: Diane Loses It on Jack & Nikki

So, Diane gives Jack back the ring and he begs Diane to forgive him and she accuses Nikki of wanting Jack for herself and hopes she’s happy. Nikki insists she’s angry at Victor and Jack tells Diane he loves her again but she just storms out. So Jack tells Nikki maybe, you know, his marriage really is over. But she tells Jack Diane is so upset because she loves him. And Jack tells Nikki it may be time for the nuclear option, which is faking a romance to make Victor and Diane jealous.

Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) tells Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) that Victor is using AI to ruin Phyllis’s company and fake criminal evidence against her and Billy and Cane. Michael doesn’t want Lauren to be collateral damage. The staffing attack is just part one. Michael thinks this faked evidence is real enough to really take Phyllis down. Lauren wants to warn Phyllis, but Michael says it’s too late to stop it. But he tells Lauren they might be able to save Phyllis.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Plays it Cool

Meanwhile, she’s telling Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that she doesn’t mind the people quitting the company because Phyllis says now she doesn’t have to pay them severance. Victoria tells Phyllis she is definitely going down. Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) joins and she and Victoria mock Phyllis for her kids cutting her out of their lives. Victoria asks Christine if she’s going to be the DA and says Victor told her. And Christine’s wondering why Victor is keeping tabs on her. I’m guessing he wants Christine to file charges on his enemies. Victoria pushes Christine to accept the DA role.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) joins and Victoria asks about Jack, but Kyle is just disgusted because Victoria keeps enabling all the bad things her father does, including what Victor did to his parents. And when Kyle leaves, Victoria tries to downplay what Victor did while she’s talking to Christine. Tries to keep things focused on Phyllis’s shenanigans. And Victoria then offers Christine some information she could use as DA to destroy Phyllis.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Diane & Patty Face Off

Patty taunts Diane about staying in Genoa City and how she’s going to be spending time with Jack. And then we’ve got Patty saying she’s going to comfort him since Diane’s being awful. Patty also reaches way back into decades ago to blame Diane for a miscarriage she had back then.

And Patty later runs into Phyllis who isn’t happy to see that psycho on the loose. Patty is being weird as usual. And Phyllis reminds her she tried to kill her daughter. She thinks Phyllis needs to show more grace after all the bad things she’s done. Patty prods her also about her kids not talking to her and recommends therapy. Kind of ironic.

Michael later warns Phyllis that Victor is about to get criminal charges dropped on her. Michael says he may be able to help Phyllis out of this scrape. Victor thanks Patty for the good job she did and gives her a big old bag of cash, but Victor warns her not to tell anybody. And then Patty tells Victor she’s thinking she’s going to stay in Genoa City.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, April 23rd: May Sweeps Kicks Off

Thursday, April 23rd is when May sweeps kicks off and we’ve got Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) there to support Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). Obviously, his head is still spinning from finding out his mom, Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), lied all these years about who his bio father was and then he met Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) and then found out he’s really sick. So, it’s just a lot. And Holden is going to introduce Claire to his mom, Stephanie, and she seems to approve of Claire. I’m sure that is going to rub Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) the wrong way, as most things do.

Also this week, things are tense as Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) talks to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Stephanie. And then Cane makes a bold move for Lily. I bet he’s going to get tested to see if he can be Malcolm’s donor. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is on a dangerous path and he may soon get somebody he loves hurt because he is high all the time these days while lying and denying about it.

Friday, April 24th: Adam Drags A Confession Out Of Riza on Y&R

Friday, April 24th, big stuff as we wrap up the week. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) drags a confession out of Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani). Adam wants to know if Riza has been Matt Clark‘s (Roger Howarth) accomplice against his family this whole time and if she was helping Matt trap Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).

Meanwhile, Sharon and Noah arrive at some creepy remote industrial spot that looks abandoned. That’s where they were sent. If you remember, Matt was texting Sharon from Nick’s phone. I wonder if the Newmans are savvy to that now. You’d think they would be since Sharon was also talking to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Noah tells Sharon this is not what he was expecting and she asked Noah if they should go in or not on Young and the Restless.

And it looks like Sharon and Noah fall right into Matt’s trap. So, it could be info from Riza that leads the Newman brothers to find Noah and Sharon because this week Nick is behind the wheel with Adam riding shotgun looking pretty tense. That’s probably because Nick is high as a kite and Adam is insane to let him drive.

Victor has an offer for Phyllis that she won’t be able to refuse. So, Victor had a new AI constructed and it has engineered criminal evidence against Phyllis that he’s going to threaten to use against her. And I wonder if Victor is going to offer her a deal to testify against Billy and Cane if she gives back Newman. So, she’ll walk away with nothing, but she won’t go to prison. We’ll see.

Week of April 27th-May 1st: First Full Week of May Sweeps on Young and the Restless

The week of April 27th through May 1st is the first full week of May sweeps. And we’re going to see Matt’s twisted plan for Sharon and Noah all laid out. Not too much longer. And we’re going to get the big final boss battle between Nick and Matt Clark with Adam and others in the mix. The nightmare that is Matt is going to end soon. And Sharon, Noah, and Sienna should be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Kind of weird that everybody else went to Vegas except for Sienna unless she was on another flight or I don’t know is hiding in Chelsea’s room and I just missed her.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) presses Devon Winters (Bryton James) to drop the appeal against Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) plea deal. Abby wants him just to accept that Mariah is getting the psychiatric help and that’s the best thing for her and they’ll take care of Dominic. I think Abby’s going to press this point, but Devon may not like it at all.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Cane Save Malcolm?

We will find out if Cane is a donor match and can donate bone marrow to save Malcolm’s life. Lily would be thrilled. Holden would too. That would help Cane’s whole redemption arc. Plus, Claire gets closer to Holden. And it looks like she is probably going to close that door for good on her and Kyle.

We’ll see if Phyllis is going to accept Victor’s offer and whether Phyllis will try and bargain for more than he is offering. But it sounds like he may have her over a barrel because of more dirty tricks. Nick must face his addiction because he’s currently still in the lie and deny phase.

But Josh Morrow teased it would be rock bottom for Nick if his getting high caused somebody to get hurt and that may be happening during sweeps. Nikki and Jack plot a way to make Victor and Diane jealous, but I think there’s going to be fallout from their nuclear option that neither of them are ready for.
