“It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Will Davis,” Longo said in a statement. “Will was a beloved member of our Bearkat football family here at Sam Houston who touched the lives of everyone he knew.

“Will was an upbeat, positive, passionate young man who will be sincerely missed. Tanya, the kids and I are praying for Will’s family during this difficult time.”

Davis started his collegiate career at Virginia Union. He played 19 games with the school and recorded five interceptions and one touchdown. He transferred to West Virginia after the 2024 season and played one game for the Mountaineers.

He was set to compete for a roster spot at Sam Houston State. He graduated from West Virginia in 2025 with a masters of science in sports management. He expressed excitement about continuing his collegiate career with the Bearkats.

“Sam Houston felt like home from the moment I first set foot on campus,” he said, via Nilson Sports. “As a Virginia kid that had played every snap of football in my life within driving distance of home, it was important to me that I’d play somewhere where I fit seamlessly into the culture if I was going to be so distant geographically.

Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira said “everything can happen” when asked if Elliot Anderson could be sold this summer.

Speaking following his side’s 3-2 defeat to United, Pereira said: “He has the talent to be one of the top of the top, every time he can score more goals, especially he can be a little bit more take a bit more the risk in the last third, he has a very good shot.

“It depends on the system. If we give him total freedom to build the play I think he can do everything but we are playing with two midfielders, if he loses every time the position, we have one midfielder.

“It is a system that doesn’t give him total freedom to create. He needs to understand when the other one loses the position, he cannot but he has a lot of talent and is young and will fly with big wings.

When asked if Anderson would stay at the City Ground, he responded: “This is an answer that I don’t have. The market is the market, everything can happen. What I can say to you is the club wants to keep him playing for us for sure.

“The club wants to keep the players. This is a very good group with quality, with character and we are in a very good place for the next season.”

Zoey Stark spotted training with former AEW champion following WWE exit

Published

Zoey Stark recently departed WWE. She was spotted training with a former AEW champion following her exit.

Zoey Stark was one of the most consistent performers in NXT. Due to her impressive performances, she was called up to the main roster. During her time on the main roster, she was involved in a prominent feud with Becky Lynch. However, her push came to a screeching halt last year when she suffered a knee injury. This sidelined her for the past year. However, she was recently released from the sports entertainment juggernaut. It looks like she has been busy training with Brian Cage.

Zoey Stark recently took to social media to post a video emotionally describing her passion and love for wrestling. She also revealed that she was cleared to compete in February 2026, but was released in April. During the video, she was seen training with AEW star Brian Cage. Zoey also revealed that her new name is Zoey Serrano and her 90-day non-compete clause will expire on July 24, 2026.

Bully Ray is not happy with WWE’s treatment of Zoey Stark

Zoey Stark spent the past year rehabbing and fixing her knee. However, she was released before she got the chance to compete in the ring again.

Speaking on his Busted Open Radio podcast, Bully Ray said that WWE releasing Stark before giving her one chance to compete in the ring doesn’t sit right with him.

“Think about what she’s going through right now. ‘I tried for a whole year to come back only to have you tell me you’re not even going to give me an opportunity. Not even one match back. Not one opportunity after I got hurt and blew out my knee.’ To me, that’s not right,” he said.

He further added that the Stamford-based promotion should have given Stark a chance to show what she could do with her new knee.

“Give her one match back. Give her an opportunity with her new knee. Give her an opportunity after she rehabbed herself. If you don’t like what you see, then say, ‘Hey, Zoey, listen. We gave you an opportunity. We just don’t see it. Best of luck in your future endeavors,’” he added.

It remains to be seen if Zoey will join AEW in the future.
