I’ve found myself naturally gravitating toward the glamour of 60s and 70s resort dressing, when vacation style felt more expressive and playful, tied to a more carefree way of getting dressed. The full programme for Gradfest 2026 has been announced, marking a vibrant three-week showcase at The Lir Academy, part of Trinity College Dublin. The festival represents the culmination of a year of intensive, practice-based professional training undertaken by the institution’s MFA directors, designers, and producers. Emphasizing collaboration across disciplines, the productions are realized with the support of undergraduate students, who contribute both performance and technical expertise. The programme features four ambitious productions, offering audiences an opportunity to experience the work of emerging theatre professionals and gain insight into the future of the performing arts industry.

Young Actors’ Programme

Our Young Actors programme is an intensive, two-week acting programme designed for senior cycle students (aged 15-17). This programme is designed to give young performers a taste of what it is like to study at conservatoire level, replicating two weeks in the life of a full-time acting degree.
This course is perfect for students thinking of applying to The Lir Academy or a similar drama academy or have an interest in theatre and who would like to explore the craft of acting further.For younger performers, we have week-long Summer Camps in early and late July. These are one-week courses are designed for young actors who are studying Junior Cycle (aged 12-15) who have a passionate interest in performing.

This week’s Amazon Sunday is all about the activities I’m leaning on to keep my girls busy as school winds down and summer begins. Right now, with the weather so beautiful, they love being outside, so I rounded up a mix of toys and games they can play with by the pool, in the backyard, or out in the garden.

For days when it gets too hot, or when they just want to play inside, I love easy activities they can do all on their own. A few finds that get them thinking and creating independently, like tracing boards, sparkly markers, and colorful blocks. It’s a fun mix of outdoor play, creativity, and little learning moments to kick off summer break.

Every summer there ends up being one color that starts to define the season for me, and this year it’s shaping up to be shades of orange. It started showing up in the pieces I kept saving, and now orange has become the common thread running through the resort looks I’m pulling together for the new few months ahead.

There are so many shades to play with across an orange spectrum. Some pieces feel more reminiscent of coral, others tangerine, and some are closer to saffron or rust. That range makes the color feel easier to wear, pairing back to contrasting colors or other variations of the hue with ease. Instead of one loud note, it becomes a whole summer palette, working just as well in a small accessory as it does in the piece you build the whole look around.
