Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly going into lockdown mode ahead of their upcoming trip to Australia.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be keeping key details of their non-working royal tour under wraps after a media leak raised concerns about a security breach.
While the couple is still expected to proceed with planned engagements, insiders claim the decision to go private is meant to avoid any risks that could compromise their safety.
The move has also sparked concern among fans, with many calling out what they describe as the media’s ongoing obsession with the Montecito-based pair.

Harry and Markle are reportedly keeping details of their upcoming visit to Australia under wraps after concerns were raised about their safety.
The couple’s security has come under scrutiny following reports of aggressive attempts by British tabloid media to access sensitive information about their private arrangements ahead of the visit.
According to Australia’s 7News, tensions have been escalated between the Sussexes’ team and members of the press. A spokesperson confirmed that the timing of the royal couple’s engagements will no longer be disclosed due to a breach of agreement by some outlets.
The situation escalated after three media organizations reportedly broke an embargo and leaked sensitive details.
Details of Harry and Markle’s Australia trip reportedly surfaced after being shared with the Daily Mail and select outlets by their new PR chief, Liam Maguire.
The information was said to have come from leaked planning documents. The info outlined a packed itinerary, including joint appearances centered on veterans and mental health, as well as a visit to a children’s hospital and an Invictus Australia event on Sydney Harbour.
Markle is expected to attend a women’s homelessness program, while Harry will reportedly visit an AFL club in Melbourne and attend a rugby union match in Sydney.

The online reaction to Harry and Markle’s secretive approach has been mixed. On the one hand, some social media users slammed the leak, while others expressed their concern for Harry and Markle.
“At this point, the derangers and the constant media obsession with the Sussexes will probably be more important and more researched in the future than the royal family themselves,” one Reddit user wrote.
Another also questioned the continued media focus, writing, “They haven’t lived in England in at least five years, so why are British tabloids still clamoring to get to them?”
Markle’s “Her Best Life” women’s retreat was notably absent from the couple’s reported itinerary. The highly anticipated event is set to take place at the InterContinental Hotel in Sydney’s Coogee Beach.
Sources said that the omission suggests a deliberate move to separate their “pseudo royal” engagements from Markle’s expanding lifestyle ventures.
The clarification also comes amid speculation over how the trip is being funded. Addressing the rumors, PR chief Maguire reportedly stated in briefing notes that the visit is privately funded.

Harry and Markle were recently seen mingling with Ted Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant, at a private gathering in Montecito.
The couple attended the “Beef” Season 2 Tastemaker event hosted at the Netflix CEO’s residence. They joined a star-studded guest list that included Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau, Orlando Bloom, and Lionel Boyce.
For the evening, Harry kept things classic in a navy suit and white button-down shirt, while Markle wore a Heidi Merrick “Gale” gown paired with strappy heels, per PEOPLE.
The outing comes amid recent rumors of a rift between the Sussexes and the Netflix boss following claims their deal had been scrapped. However, sources on both sides have denied the speculation, with their lawyer, Michael J. Kump, stating in a letter that Markle remains in constant contact with Mr. Sarandos.

Season 6 of Emily in Paris will show Emily’s reunion with Gabriel — but the titular character will still have “a lot” of options in her personal life.
Lily Collins weighed in on how season 6 of the hit Netflix series will address Gabriel’s (Lucas Bravo) postcard to Emily, exclusively telling Us Weekly at PaleyFest, “Does she get the postcard? I don’t know. Maybe she does. Maybe she doesn’t. I know we end up in Greece but I haven’t read anything. Things get lost in the mail.”
Collins, 37, made it clear that she wasn’t choosing sides. “I’m happy when Emily’s happy,” she gushed. “I love Emily and Mindy.”
Creator Darren Star, meanwhile, confirmed that Gabriel’s postcard to Emily where he mentioned Greece opened the door for more surprises, saying, “We’re going to be in Mykonos. And we will get to Monaco for a bit of a surprising reason. We’ll be in Paris a lot this season.”
Star, 64, also showed support for Emily and Gabriel’s long-awaited reunion.
“They deserve each other. I hope so,” he teased. “But I can’t promise. … She’s got a lot of options out there — and some possible new options too.”

Emily in Paris centers around Emily Cooper after her move to France from the U.S. for a new job. Emily subsequently ended up caught in a love triangle between Gabriel and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount).
Emily then moved on with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), but by the end of season 4, Gabriel realized that he wanted to fight for her. Emily, however, had moved to Rome and started her future with Marcello.
Season 5 took Emily and her friends back to Paris with a stop in Venice in the finale. In the last scene, however, viewers checked in with Gabriel, who was working on a boat that was about to dock in Greece, which paved the way for him to invite Emily to visit him.
“All we know is that we’re going to Greece and Monaco,” Bravo, 38, told Us on Friday. “We have no script. I have no idea. I do want them to be happy and in love because they’ve been working on it for six or seven years now.”
He continued: “I hope it happens. I think some people want that, but whoever Emily ends up with will be the perfect choice because she knows better.”
Bravo also weighed in on Bryan Greenberg making an appearance in season 5 as Emily’s love interest Jake, adding, “I love Jake — that’s an actor I’ve been I love for a long time. Seeing him joining the Emily in Paris family was huge. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet him on set but I hope he makes a comeback in season 6.”
Emily in Paris is currently streaming on Netflix.
Weeks after a mix-up involving Jorginho and Chappell Roan, the soccer star is now speaking out after learning all of the facts. In March, Jorginho called out the singer, claiming she sent her security to talk to his wife, Catherine Harding, and his stepdaughter, Ava, an encounter that left the girl in tears.
With Roan clarifying the situation and the security personnel at the center of the controversy coming forward, Jorginho is now revealing that he and his wife have communicated with Roan and cleared the air.

On April 13, soccer superstar Jorginho, born Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, took to Instagram Stories to update his followers about a misunderstanding with Chappell Roan in March. At that time, he called out the “Pink Pony Club” singer for allegedly sending her personal security to talk with his wife, Catherine Harding, and her daughter, Ava.
Per Jorginho’s account, the mother and daughter were having breakfast at a hotel where the singer was staying for Lollapalooza Brazil, when the security guard approached and became “aggressive” with them, as The Blast previously reported. Roan denied having anything to do with the incident.
In his recent post, Jorginho said it was “important to clarify everything now that new information has come to light,” adding that he made his original post about the situation “in the heat of the moment.”

Jorginho clarified that his retelling of what happened between the security guard and his wife and daughter was all accurately described, adding that he reacted “as any father would” in that situation. “My priority is and always will be protecting my family, and that is exactly what I did,” he wrote.
The soccer player then said that he acted based on the information that was made available to them at that time. After Roan’s denial, the security guard, Pascal Duvier, also released a statement taking full responsibility and confirming that he didn’t work for the pop star.
“While we still do not know what prompted him to approach them, and do not believe an 11-year-old at breakfast could reasonably be seen as any kind of security threat, it is now clear that he was not acting on behalf of Chappell,” Jorginho wrote.

Following the revelations about the incident, Roan fans called for Jorginho and his wife to apologize to the singer. However, it seemed they had already addressed the situation privately. Per the soccer star’s post, Roan reached out to Harding and cleared the air about what happened at the hotel, adding that the singer was “understanding and sympathetic to what happened” to their 11-year-old daughter.
“It was, ultimately, a misunderstanding in that respect, and I am glad to set the record straight,” Jorginho wrote, adding, “I regret the impact this situation has had on Chappell Roan, Catherine, Ada, and our family.” Jorginho finished his post by writing, “As far as I am concerned, this matter is closed.”

Following the incident with security, Harding and Ava, who intended to watch Roan perform at Lollapalooza, skipped her set. Instead, they watched Sabrina Carpenter, who also performed at the music festival. Harding shared a video of Ada smiling and dancing as the singer performed on stage.
However, it later came to light that Duvier was at the hotel as part of Carpenter’s security, as previously reported by The Blast.

Following Jorginho’s initial post and claims about Roan, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Cavaliere, banned the singer from performing at Todo Mundo no Rio, a massive free concert held annually on Copacabana Beach. Past performers include Madonna and Lady Gaga, with Shakira headlining this year.
On X, Cavaliere reposted Jorginho’s Instagram Story about the incident, writing, “I mean that as long as I’m in charge of our city – this girl @ChappellRoan will never perform at Todo Mundo no Rio!” He then invited Jorginho’s stepdaughter to the concert in May as a guest of honor.
As of writing, Cavaliere has yet to rescind Roan’s ban, at least publicly, after it has been confirmed that she had nothing to do with the incident.

As the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni trial draws near, more information is emerging about the legal strategies both sides will use. According to reports, the Lively team is planning to bring up Baldoni’s past statements about pop superstar Britney Spears to highlight his alleged on-set conduct on “It Ends With Us,” the Baldoni-directed movie that sparked the ongoing legal battle.

There is an increasing attention on Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni as the “It Ends With Us” trial approaches, with reports revealing details about what may be presented in court and which witnesses are expected to testify for both sides.
An article published by the Daily Mail on April 13 alleges that the “Gossip Girl” actress plans to use Baldoni’s words against him in court. The report said the statement was from 2017, when the “Jane the Virgin” actor talked about an interaction he had with Britney Spears on the set of the show.
Baldoni played the role of Rafael Solano in all five seasons of the series, and Spears had a guest appearance in season 2, episode 5, wherein she played a version of herself.

In a 2017 interview with Fuse, Baldoni recalled meeting Spears when he was asked who his favorite guest star was on “Jane the Virgin.” The actor said he was excited to meet the superstar, but later learned that his character had no scenes with Spears. Baldoni also said that he was a “huge” fan of the pop star when he was in high school, and they had tweeted each other prior to Spears being on set, admitting, “In my mind, we’re friends, but we weren’t.”
Baldoni then approached the singer with a hug, saying, “Hey!” Based on Spears’ reaction, a meek “hi,” the actor said he might have scared her. “I just kinda had this awkward moment of like, ‘Did I just harass Britney Spears?’”

At the “It Ends With Us” premiere in August 2024, Lively wore the same Versace rainbow dress that Spears wore back in 2002. In an Instagram Story, the actress made a nod to the singer, writing, “The ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories,” per ELLE.
When the New York Times article alleging Baldoni’s sexual harassment and smear campaign was published in December 2024, online users speculated that Lively’s sartorial choice for the movie premiere wasn’t just to honor Spears, but to serve as a dig at Baldoni as well.
In unsealed text messages between Lively and her “It Ends With Us” co-star Jenny Slate talking about Baldoni, the former wrote, “And then later when you said you used to stare at Britney Spears midsection for hours… he jumped in and said ‘same’ and giggled but then eye rolled when we just looked at him.”

It isn’t clear how Lively’s counsel will use Baldoni’s 2017 interview at the trial, since most of the actress’s claims, including sexual harassment, were tossed by the presiding judge.
On April 2, as reported by The Blast, Judge Lewis Liman dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims against Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties, leaving a marginally narrower case against the director. The claims that remain are breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting in retaliation. With that, Baldoni is no longer a personal defendant in the case, but he is a co-founder of Wayfarer Studios, which is one of the corporate defendants, along with It Ends With Us Movie LLC, and TAG PR LLC.
Per a court filing, as reported by PEOPLE, Baldoni will testify in the upcoming trial, with his counsel noting that his “testimony remains relevant to refute Plaintiff’s false allegations of a smear campaign.”

With a little more than a month before the trial begins, there is still a chance for a settlement. Per The Blast, an attorney, who is not involved in the case, shared that a settlement is still possible right before the trial and even during the course of the trial.
There are still many discussions to be had during pre-trial preparations, but as of now, it seems both Lively and Baldoni are intent on seeing the case through. In the last settlement talks on April 6, attorneys for both parties rejected the latest settlement effort.
The It Ends With Us trial is scheduled to begin on May 18 in New York.
With so many mystery shows arriving on streaming lately, from The Last Thing He Told Me to Imperfect Women, it’s getting harder for any one series to stand out. That is part of what makes The Åre Murders feel like such a hidden gem. The smart Swedish Netflix crime drama is set to return for Season 2 in 2026, with production reportedly beginning this past February. Based on Viveca Sten’s novels Hidden in Snow and Hidden in the Shadows, the five-episode 2025 series follows Hanna Ahlander (Carla Sehn), a Stockholm detective who gets pulled into the case of a missing girl while visiting the small town of Åre.
In the first episode of The Åre Murders, Harald Halvorsen (Henrik Norlén) and Lena Halvorsen (Sofia Papadimitriou Ledarp) are horrified to realize their teen daughter Amanda Halvorsen (Freddie Mosten-Jacob) has been missing for a full night. Her parents thought that Amanda was staying over at a party, but when they checked in with one of Amanda’s friends, they discovered she had left the party early, and no one has heard from her since. Hanna joins the initial search for Amanda. At first, she’s not acting in her capacity as a police officer; she’s simply joining a large search party of concerned civilians. But when this search is unsuccessful, the police open a proper investigation. They’re understaffed and ask Hanna to join the investigation even though she’s on leave. Although Hanna knows she has personal problems to work through, she’s invested in the case and agrees to join.
The specifics of Hanna’s personal problems are slowly revealed over the show’s five episodes, along with the central mystery in which the case of one missing girl leads to larger secrets, including a murder mystery and human trafficking. Carla Sehn’s excellent performance anchors the show as Hanna uncovers multiple brutal crimes. She plays the serious scenes well but also gives Hanna a breezy, flirty quality.
One of the strongest aspects of The Åre Murders is the relationship between Hanna and her new partner, Detective Daniel Lindskog (The Abyss‘ Kardo Razzazi). Their partnership starts rocky. When they first meet, Hanna is having a rough moment while driving her brother-in-law’s car. Daniel pulls her over and finds out that not only is she driving a car that isn’t hers, but she doesn’t have her license on her. He only lets her off after finding out she’s a fellow police officer. When she joins the case, he’s reluctant to partner with her. But over the course of the series, they slowly begin to trust each other.
Hanna and Daniel’s relationship is sure to please anyone who loves watching crime-fighting partners fall in love. They have strong romantic tension throughout the show. One scene in which Daniel visits her in the hospital is especially sweet and tender. But the best part of their relationship is the less serious moments. In an otherwise bleak show, it’s a joy watching how easily they fall into a rhythm of joking around together. At the same time, their dynamic is complicated because of Daniel’s wife and newborn baby.
The structure of The Åre Murders is unusual but intriguing. Partway through the series, it shifts focus to a murder that is seemingly unrelated to Amanda’s disappearance. The disconcerting structure works and creates an engaging two-part mystery. Structurally, the show is similar to Dublin Murders, which adapted two mystery novels into a single season. But The Åre Murders pull this off more smoothly. The Åre Murders works because Hanna and Daniel are such strong characters.
Despite having ‘murders’ in the title, Amanda’s case doesn’t actually become a murder case until Episode 2, and it takes even longer for the detectives to start investigating a second murder. The Åre Murders doesn’t have to wear its mysteries on its sleeve because it’s satisfying just watching Hanna try to pick up the pieces of her life and navigate her messy relationship with Daniel. Like Top of the Lake, it’s a character drama first. It’s fitting that the end of the series focuses on where Hanna and Daniel are at in their personal and professional lives rather than setting up the mystery for Season 2.
Hulu’s 3-Part True-Crime Series Is So Good, You’ll Finish It in One Sitting
When friendship turns fatal.
This focus on character applies not just to the detectives, but also to the friends and family members of the victims. The show holds the audience’s attention not with constant wild twists but with how well it dramatizes the distress caused by the absence of the missing and deceased.
The Åre Murders is an intriguing binge, with enough surprises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end. Like so many other female-led thrillers, its biggest strength is a unique, complex woman at its center, brought to life beautifully by a great actress. Hanna is a flawed and idiosyncratic character who’s always interesting to watch.
The Åre Murders is available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.

After years of anticipation for the next level, the wait for Jumanji 3 is officially down to mere months. Dwayne Johnson‘s action-adventure reboot trilogy capper wrapped filming back in February, finally locking in the much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level after delays due to the pandemic and scheduling conflicts for its big names. It’s been a blast for Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black after two blockbuster journeys to the jungle worth over $1.7 billion, but this December will be the final game, picking up from where the last film left off, with the exotic world bleeding into reality. Moreover, it won’t just look to close out the modern hits, but also pay homage to the 1981 classic starring Robin Williams.
Columbia Pictures has kept everything tightly under wraps to this point, even if The Next Level signaled the new director. An early image also showed all three of Smolder (Johnson), Mouse (Hart), Shelly (Black), and Ruby Roundhouse (Gillan) warped from the lush green foliage to a city street, teasing how the boundaries between the game and reality will be completely shattered. It’s not just ostriches and other animals invading the home of Spencer (Alex Wolff), Martha (Morgan Turner), Bethany (Madison Iseman), and Fridge (Ser’Darius Blaine) either. Johnson teased that it would also further explore the identity of Jurgen the Brutal’s (Rory McCann) player. Now, we finally have our best look yet at the kind of adventure to expect from director Jake Kasdan.
At CinemaCon on Monday, during Sony’s panel, the first footage for Jumanji 3 was unveiled, unleashing pure chaos like never before. With the jungle now beginning to take over a place it was never meant to be, everyone, from players to avatars, will have to work together to find a way to set things right before it’s too late. Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg were tapped to pen the final film’s script and send things off with a bang, both action-packed, comedic, and surprisingly heartfelt.
Jumanji: Open World’s sneak peek kicks off with a repair gone horribly wrong after the repair man mixes up some wires and short circuits the video game console — bringing the game into the real world. Our group of young heroes is called in by (Danny DeVito) after the latter spots the characters at a local diner. Unfortunately, each of the four characters are stuck in game mode, which makes them no help at all for the mission at hand. Eventually, they get into the swing of things and set off on a grandiose adventure for the fate of the planet.
In addition to the main four players, Jumanji: Open World promises plenty of familiar faces preparing to brave the jungle and its dangers once more. Nick Jonas will notably play a key role once more as Jefferson “Seaplane” McDonough, alongside DeVito, Awkwafina, Rhys Darby, Bebe Neuwirth, and Lamorne Morris. Joining them will be Brittany O’Grady, Burn Gorman, and Dan Hildebrand. Expect a tribute to the late Williams as well in honor of his status as the first player to become trapped in the game.
Jumanji 4 arrives in theaters on December 25. Stay tuned here at Collider for more coverage from CinemaCon throughout the week.

A spider here, a spider there. Spider-Man fans are lucky because these days, there seems to be a spider just about everywhere. With the arrival of Tom Holland’s return to the iconic suit in Destin Daniel Cretton’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day just a few months away, the hype to see what the character will make of the mess that he made back in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home is quickly growing to a fever pitch. And then, there’s the upcoming Prime Video series, Spider-Noir, which will see Nicolas Cage’s beloved too-cool-for-school character step out of the animated world and into one of live-action. Speaking of the animated world, there’s also Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse slated to hit cinemas in 2027 with a load of beloved characters voiced by the likes of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, and Jason Schwartzman returning for yet another adventure after a jaw-dropping cliffhanger from 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
At CinemaCon 2026, Sony finally unveiled the first look at the long-awaited third and final installment of the acclaimed animated Spider-Saga, along with some brand-new images. The first of the four new images features Miles (Shameik Moore) reuniting with his beloved father, Jefferson Davis (Bryan Tyree Henry), whom he hopes to save from The Spot’s (Jason Schwartzman) multiversal threat. Speaking of multiversal threats, the next image has Miles in a chokehold from his arch Spider-rival, Miguel O’Hara (AKA Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Marvel veteran Oscar Isaac), now donning a much more sinister-looking black and white suit (though that could also be a product of whatever action set piece they’re a part of). Jefferson Davis returns again in the third image, this time much younger and side-by-side with his estranged brother Aaron Davis (Mahershala Ali), likely before Aaron became the ruthless Kingpin (Liev Schrieber) enforcer, The Prowler. Finally, the Spider-Punk known as Hobie Brown (Daniel Kaluuya) also returns to help save Jefferson from The Spot, just in time for Kaluuya’s upcoming spin-off project that’s in development now.
As mentioned earlier, the amount of Spider-Man projects in development at Sony is massive, and, thankfully, none of them are any more ill-conceived villain spin-offs like Morbius or Kraven the Hunter (though there is an animated Venom movie on the way that sounds pretty cool). In just a few months, Tom Holland’s widely beloved MCU take on the character will team up with The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to stop a brand-new threat in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Naturally, it’s heavily speculated that Holland’s Peter Parker will have some sort of role in Avengers: Doomsday and/or Avengers: Secret Wars. As for the wider Spider-Verse, fans can look forward to Nicolas Cage’s historic live-action Spider-Noir series on Prime Video as well as Daniel Kaluuya’s Spider-Punk spin-off movie.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse finally debuts in theaters on June 18, 2027. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
