Bolton’s Mini Police visit Greater Manchester Police Museum
On Friday afternoon (December 12), members of Bolton’s “Mini Police” were taken on a special visit to the Greater Manchester Police Museum.
The students from Mytham Primary School, Little Lever, were shown the history of the police and what life was like in Manchester over 100 years ago.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “PC Forgham and PCSO Jackson made a special visit to the Greater Manchester Police Museum this afternoon.
“They took along their cohort of Mini Police from Mytham Primary School, Little Lever.

“Staff at the museum showed the students the history of the police and examples of what life was like in Manchester over 100 years ago.

“Well worth a visit and is free to all.”
The Mini Police scheme involves children aged eight to 10 and was launched to “increase trust and confidence” in the police among young people.
The young officers are shown the skills and equipment the police use to tackle crime by taking part in a range of activities.
