Editor’s Note: The following review contains some spoilers for the pilot of ‘Line of Fire’.

When Peter Krause‘s Bobby Nash died in Season 8 of 9-1-1, it was a devastating blow for fans of the ABC hit procedural series. Not only did it mean that Krause would no longer be on the show, but the series fundamentally changed after that point. But now, a year later, Krause is back on our TV screens. This time, he’s not suiting up in a firefighter’s uniform but in a Secret Service suit and tie for Line of Fire. The family procedural drama also doubles as a bit of a spy thriller as it puts the Hollingsworths, a family of law enforcement agents, into the center of a conspiracy that will keep audiences locked in for the long haul.

‘Line of Fire’ Takes a Messy Family and Puts Them Into Law Enforcement

Line of Fire kicks off on a momentous day in Mike Hollingsworth’s (Krause) life, the day of his retirement. As he prepares for his last day at work, the rest of his family are chugging along at their own jobs. His wife, who he is separated from (kind of), Jane (Hope Davis), is a Deputy U.S. Marshal investigating the death of a fellow marshal alongside her daughter, FBI Special Agent Clare Hollingsworth (Kat Cunning). His youngest son Russ (Taylor Bloom) is headed to a new desk job at the Department of Justice, while his older son Micah (Tommy O’Brien) can’t wait to be free of his dad as a special agent also working in the Secret Service. As wild as the concept is — and unrealistic given how often Clare and Jane seem to work together — it makes for an exciting TV series as we follow the Hollingsworths through the upper echelons of law enforcement.

Unlike some police procedurals which might drop you in the streets of New York City or Chicago with detectives working homicide cases, Line of Fire‘s focus is both narrower and more expansive. Due to their high positions in the various departments of the government, the types of cases that the Hollingsworths are privy to extend far beyond your run-of-the-mill crime. However, considering how much ground there is to cover when it comes to their jobs, the series really uses their occupations more as a vehicle for drama and a strong gimmick to sell the show. The Hollingsworths give the impression of the prototypical American family, a patriotic group of public servants working hard to protect their country. However, that often just feels like the glossy veneer that the show operates behind in order to fuel its more soapy drama.

Despite the Procedural Action, ‘Line of Fire’ Has Elements of a Soap Opera

Among all the plots and subplots, the one storyline that feels the most to only exists on TV is probably the secret romance between Micah and his protectee, the daughter of the president, Sydney (Savannah Lee Smith). While the rest of the family is seemingly dealing with secret agents and deep conspiracies, Micah’s problems are decidedly more pedestrian. It feels slightly out of place but adds the type of romantic drama that is normally injected into a procedural to draw in part of its audience. At the same time, Jane and Mike also have a little bit of an affair bubbling between the two of them, despite the fact that they are separated and Jane is apparently dating someone on the side.

On top of all of that is the constant push and pull between the parents and the kids, specifically when it comes to Clare and her boyfriend Logan (Pico Alexander), who she’s terrified of introducing to her judgmental family. The kids all have their own dysfunctional relationship with their parents. Clare thinks Jane would have preferred it if she followed in her mother’s footsteps to go into the Marshals, while Micah can’t wait to be freed from his father’s watchful eye. Russ, who is already suspected at work because of his connection to his family, simply wants to be trusted and not considered a potential leak because of who his father is. While Line of Fire has the potential to be far larger than just a network show, the bones of a procedural are still there, and that’s where the lion’s share of the drama and family dynamic lies.

‘Line of Fire’ Kicks Off a Surprising Twist That Keeps Us Hooked

What actually sets Line of Fire apart and makes it worth coming back to is the eleventh-hour plot twist at the end of the pilot episode. For much of the pilot episode, the scuttlebutt in the family revolves around the fact that Clare won’t let her family meet Logan. The episode reaches a climax when Logan comes over for dinner, and it ends disastrously when the topic of Jack (Charlie Barnett) comes up. Jack was Mike’s son from his first marriage. Clare, Micah, and Russ believe he killed himself five years ago after coming back from Afghanistan, haunted by the atrocities of war. Photos in the house have him removed from family pictures, the Hollingsworths barely mention him, and it seems to be a sore subject even years after his suicide.

However, the twist comes when we see Logan return to the Hollingsworth house and is met by his neighbor, Joel. Except it turns out Joel is actually Jack, and when Logan pulls back one of the family photos to reveal his neighbor BFF is the one hidden from view, Jack is quick to dispatch Logan, leaving him dead on the living room floor. The death shatters Clare, who got into a fight with Logan before he left the family dinner. But what’s more shocking is the fact that Mike and Jane seemingly know that Jack is alive and working on a case deep undercover. Logan’s death puts a pause on Mike’s retirement as Homeland Security Detective Nia Wallace (Antoinette Crowe-Legacy) steps in to investigate the case of the murder. It’s a twist on par with The Blacklist and makes the show worth tuning back into.

However, one potential problem remains. The fact is, Line of Fire is still a procedural. And anyone will tell you that a good procedural lives and dies on its ability to both maintain its case-of-the-week formula while balancing it with a greater overall season plot. It’s a sweet spot that Line of Fire will have to find, but not an impossible one, as shows have done it before and gone on to prosper with multiple seasons. But there is a part of me that feels like it’s a shame that this is a network procedural at all, as Line of Fire has all the makings of a serialized prestige miniseries, but perhaps that’s what will make the show withstand the test of time.

Travis Kelce pulled out the coolest outfit while walking into Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs game.

Kelce, 36, looked like a stud in a Louis Vuitton jacket featuring a navy tie-dye pattern on Sunday, September 20. The sartorial look, which retailed for $4,950, was finished with the brand’s signature logo, which was bedazzled on his chest and black buttons. The tight end complemented the statement piece with a white T-shirt tucked into black pants. He tied his look together with white socks, black dress shoes, a silver chain necklace and brown sunglasses.

Swift and Kelce started dating in 2023. Monday, September 21st on General Hospital, we are going to have Willow reaching out to Valentin and he tells Willow that she needs to step up and make herself indispensable to the WSB. Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) reassures Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) as they talk and holds hands at Surf Lodge and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) makes a discovery. Looks like she may be the one who finds Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) in Drew’s car.

Charlotte tells the person who opens the door, “You need to leave right now.” Also, Carly issues a warning. And she says, “If you’d have put that into action, it would have been a big mistake.” Looks like that’s to Charlotte. Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) tells Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), “Somebody needs my help before they do something really stupid.” And Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) confides in Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) that she knew someone was being held against their will.

Plus, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) listens as Anna opens up about her fears. She is asking Jason how Britt’s doing, and Jason says Britt is shaken up, but she’s okay. And then Jason tells Anna that Britt wanted him to be a witness for the cops against Anna, and Jason refused. And Anna tells Jason he should not have done that.

GH Spoilers: Jason & Sonny Catch Up

Tuesday, September 22nd on General Hospital. Jason and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are talking. They reconnect over drinks at the Brown Dog Bar. And I’m sure that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Britt, and Anna are all gonna be on the menu. Britt comes face to face with Anna. And Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) sees something that she is not supposed to. Maybe it’s Aurora. Maybe it’s something to do with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Also, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) opens up to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). I think Lulu might be venting to Dante about Valentin keeping her in the dark about Charlotte’s recent antics, which would be ironic seeing as Lulu kept Dante in the dark about Rocco a lot. Carly does damage control and this may be her trying to diffuse the situation between Valentin and Charlotte. Also, Carly may try to scrub any traces of Charlotte on the security cameras with Drew’s car.

I also wonder if Valentin is going to tell Lulu about this incident, seeing as they just had that parenting talk. Valentin was against keeping Charlotte and Danny apart like Lulu mentioned, but he may reconsider now, especially because we have a very annoyed Charlotte rolling her eyes at her dad.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny & Ric Talk Strategy

Wednesday, September 23rd, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Sonny are doing some strategizing. No doubt it’s about Nina and the situation. And Drew notices an interaction between Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow.

So after framing Nina and getting her sent away, Drew is moving on to Willow to get his revenge on her. And I suspect he will use Chase to do it. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) makes an alliance with somebody. I’m expecting it’s Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) because Fall General Hospital spoilers say that he teams up with Tracy to target Willow and destroy her once and for all.

Somebody has an offer for Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup). It may be Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) trying to get Kai out of the way. Or it could be something to do with Trina Robinson‘s (Tabyana Ali) stalker. Speaking of her, Trina’s making a big choice and I’m wondering if she may consider stepping back from music altogether.

GH Spoilers: Sonny Infuriates Ava

Thursday, September 24th, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is blasting Sonny and Tracy lets somebody in on her agenda. She may be telling Michael. I’m sure it’s about Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Chase. Tracy told Brook Lynn she supports her fight for her marriage, but Tracy really wants them split up because she thinks Chase isn’t treating Brook Lynn right. Also, Michael and Drew come together. Those two put their cards on the table. And of course, they both hate Willow.

Jordan is shocked by something. So, she may see Drew and Michael conspiring. Also, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) meets with a possible new client.

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spills to Jason

Then Friday, September 25th on General Hospital, Carly is transparent with Jason. I wonder if Carly is worried about Valentin’s feelings for Anna and if she expresses this to Jason since he is close to Anna, you know, maybe to get his take. Also, Jordan wants answers. Now, this might involve Curtis or someone else, but it could also involve Drew and Michael. Speaking of him, he’s got a request for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), but she rejects it. I’m wondering if Michael wanted Josslyn’s help taking Willow down, maybe using some of her WSB connections or access.

Lulu gets a shock. So, Valentin may actually tell Lulu about Charlotte and Danny’s plan against Drew and that their daughter Charlotte was lurking in Drew’s car after stealing his keys. Brook Lynn gets an assist from Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel). Maybe it’s with Phoebe Chase (Lucia & Luna Creighton) because Chase isn’t around regularly now. Hudson may also be trying to find a sneaky way to get answers out of Brook Lynn about her marriage to Chase and about what this means for Phoebe.

GH Spoilers: Tracy & Michael Target Chase & Willow

September 28th through October 2nd on General Hospital, we’ll see if Tracy and Michael are going to get Willow and Chase in a compromising position and Hudson may consider going after Phoebe soon. We’ll also see what got Jordan so fired up and get more info on Trina’s stalker. We’ll see if Anna ends up going away to get serious help once she sees that Britt is totally terrified of her. Even now, we are going to see Michael and Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) getting closer because Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) still wants some shares. We could also see someone getting closer to Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer).

Sonny’s going to have a hard time leaving the mob behind and that affects things with him and Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor). And unfortunately, Ava gets in deeper with Drew, but realistically, she’d like to cut him loose, but Sonny is pushing Ava to extremes. Brook Lynn fights to keep her marriage, but with Willow already eyeing Chase, this is going to get messy. Someone gets closer to others, and we have a brand new lawyer that’s going to join Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) and Alexis’ law firm. A new lawyer character is going to be joining the team. She is going to meet somebody who needs legal counsel soon and she debuts on Wednesday, September 23rd.

General Hospital Spoilers: Tribute to Billy Miller

On a really sad note, we honor the legacy of Billy Miller. Kelly Monaco posted a letter that Billy Miller, the former portrayer of Drew, had written to her. She had kept this letter private all this time and has now chosen to share it publicly with fans. The letter from Billy says, “Hello friends, with a slight air of sadness, it is time to ponder what goodbye means. However, instead of dwelling on what is gone and sure to be missed, there is another way.”

The letter continues, “Maybe our goodbye is really a remembrance of love felt and appreciation for lives shared and the lifelong reminisces that come from embraces given and received. Maybe our goodbye is an earnest hope for the brightest path forward for us all. Maybe our goodbye is honoring a growth and lessons learned. Now, instead of sadness, I’m filled with gratitude for all your support, encouragement, and every emotion shared. By the way, this letter was meant for you guys, for the General Hospital fans.

Billy said, I cherish the journey we’ve taken together. Thank you for allowing me into your homes and lives with every ounce of myself. I thank you for being you. I would be remiss in this crazy unpredictable world we all love so much if I did not hold out the possibility that maybe our goodbye is really until next time. All my love Billy Miller.” Given that he passed away, this letter holds even deeper meaning and represents his final message to the fans and cast he loved so much.

Jordon Hudson and her football coach boyfriend, Bill Belichick, continue to maintain a united front amid a barrage of controversies.

Jordon Hudson was spotted showing her support for Bill Belichick and the North Carolina team as they took on the Clemson Tigers over the weekend.

According to the New York Post, the 25-year-old former cheerleader was seen entering the venue with a wide smile alongside her 74-year-old coach boyfriend, Belichick.

She sported a Carolina blue top resembling the school’s game-day ensemble, while he wore a UNC-branded tracksuit.

Hudson has now attended each of UNC’s last two games after missing the season opener last month.

Bill Belichick Denies Claims About Jordon Hudson’s UNC Role

Hudson’s appearance at the game comes amid intense speculation about her role within UNC’s football program.

Speculation intensified after reports suggested she was exerting administrative authority or acting as a general manager within the program, especially after an official email from Belichick showed that she had been copied.

Reports also claimed she was spotted leaving the team’s training facility more than once last year and had an “all-access” card allowing her to enter and leave the stadium.

However, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal last week, Belichick dismissed the claims as a “flat-out lie,” insisting Hudson has no role in the program, as the university previously stated.

“The way the story was picked up was a long way from that,” he said. “Like, ‘She’s trying to be the general manager of the team,’ and it’s so ridiculous.”

“When I took the job here, it was December, and at that time I was doing five TV shows, the radio show, I had a book coming out,” he said. “I had a lot of other things going on when I took the job.”

“So, I sent an email when I got here, and I said, ‘Can you please forward any requests to Jordon about my personal appearances so that I can work and coordinate them outside the university?’” Belichick continued. “Didn’t have anything to do with the university. Well, that was leaked and released as ‘Jordon’s involved in every single thing that I do and she’s copied on every email.’ That’s just a flat-out lie.”

Clarifying their current working relationship, he added, “There are some things that she helps me schedule or look at. It’s not North Carolina stuff.”

Bill Belichick Slammed After UNC’s Second-Half Collapse

Meanwhile, Belichick has been slammed as being “out of his element” following North Carolina’s second-half collapse against Clemson on the road.

The Tar Heels held a comfortable double-digit lead heading into the second half, leading Clemson 17-6.

However, things quickly turned around as the home team closed the gap to 17-15 near the end of the third quarter before a lengthy weather delay halted the game for hours.

When play resumed, the Clemson Tigers rallied to a 28-20 win, thanks to a Gideon Davidson touchdown and some impressive play from the team.

Fans Declare Bill Belichick ‘Out Of His Element’

Some college football fans took to social media to react to UNC’s second-half collapse, with several suggesting that Belichick had lost his edge.

“I am old enough to remember when the ‘experts’ insisted that Belichick’s name belonged on the Lombardi Trophy,” an X user mocked.

One user said Belichick “has turned UNC into an embarrassing circus,” while another added, “Has-been coach loses to a coach no other college wants.”

Sylvester Stallone is addressing President Donald Trump’s surprise decision to appoint him as a special ambassador to Hollywood.

“Well, it just happened. I was watching TV one night, and they go, ‘So Stallone and Mel Gibson and Jon Voight will be …’ And I went, ‘What?’” Stallone, 80, recalled to The Sunday Times in an interview published Sunday, September 20. “I said, ‘Excuse me? Really?’ Because if they had asked me in the beginning, I would have said, ‘This is not possible.’”

In January 2025, Trump, 80, named Stallone, Voight, 87, and Gibson, 70, as “Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK — BIGGER, BETTER AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

At the time, the president said the three actors “will be my eyes and ears” in Hollywood and that he “will get done what they suggest.”

Stallone said he told Trump that the ambassadorship was “impossible” and that he would have rejected the title “if they had asked me in the beginning.”

“Hollywood, I guess it’s like feudal states. They have their little kingdoms,” the actor explained. “You don’t go in and tell six studios how to do things. And Mel Gibson and Jon Voight, we’re kind of do-our-own-thing people. No, it won’t work.”

Stallone continued, “I said, ‘Thank you and ciao’ because it’s impossible. Hollywood works and it will evolve. It’s corporate and corporate people won’t want to hear me tell them about finance.”

Although Stallone has publicly supported Trump and previously introduced him at a Mar-a-Lago party following his 2024 re-election, The Steps author has endorsed politicians from multiple parties.

As he explained, “I am not a political animal. I’m almost a political atheist.”

In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month, Voight was asked if there will be another golden age in Hollywood.

The actor said he was working to improve the industry during Trump’s term.

“If we get on an even keel with the rest of the world’s tax benefits, if we get that break, there’s going to be an explosion of energy,” he shared. “It will be immediate. As someone mentioned, our business is a shovel-ready business. They will call people tomorrow, people will be getting ready immediately. [Then] it affects the communities they’re working in. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) talks business with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and reminds her they need Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver)’s patents as soon as possible. Nikki’s really looking forward to competing with Jabot, but plans to keep it strictly professional. Of course, Victor is a concern for both Nikki and Victoria, but Nikki thinks Victor will behave. I don’t agree.

Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) talk to Kyle about Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Then, Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) calls to say the cops still can’t find Patty and that worries Diane. She’s afraid Patty’s going to target them. Nikki shows up and Diane is annoyed when Jack welcomes Nikki into their home. She came to tell Jack she’s launching Vibrante on Valentine’s Day. That seems a little too soon to Jack.

And then Diane starts ranting at Nikki about Victor unleashing Patty on them again. Diane also thinks Nikki is going to go after Jabot. Nikki leaves and Diane loses it on Jack, accusing him of choosing Nikki over her. Victoria gets a call from Kyle to set up another sexy motel meeting. And Nikki pops up and sees Victoria looking flustered and wonders if she’s sick. Well, what she is actually hot and bothered because of Kyle.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is telling Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about her chat with Sally, where Chelsea was able to ease Sally’s fears about motherhood a bit. Chelsea and Sally both want to put their messy past behind them. Now, Adam thinks that is great, but he also tells her that it’s just not possible for him and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Adam says there’s always going to be an enemies vibe between them.

Elsewhere, Sally tells Billy about her interaction with Chelsea, and Sally stuns Billy when she says she’d like to see Chelsea as one of her bridesmaids. Sally knows it’s a little odd, but she really wants to bury the hatchet. And Billy says pretty much the same thing Adam did. They are never going to be on good terms. Billy is never going to get past the role Adam played in Delia’s death years ago. But Billy is on board with Sally being friends with Chelsea and her being in the wedding as long as Adam’s not there.

So, Chelsea gets a call from Sally to meet. So Adam takes off and Chelsea’s first thought is she upsets Sally, but she promises Chelsea that is not the case. Sally instead asked Chelsea to be her bridesmaid and she says yes, but they are just a little worried about how Adam and Audra are going to react to this huge development.

Billy and Adam cross paths and take shots at each other. Billy stuns Adam with the news that Sally wants Chelsea to be a bridesmaid. Billy makes it clear that Adam is not invited to the wedding, but he tells Billy he will be there if Chelsea asks him, and Billy warns Adam not to ruin Sally’s wedding day.

Y&R Spoilers: Matt Puzzles Phyllis

Tuesday, September 22nd on The Young and the Restless. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is confused by Matt Clark (Roger Howarth)’s change of heart. She is at Matt’s motel room door looking a little annoyed. He told Phyllis he was going to leave town and take Patty with him so everybody would be safe from Patty. And yet here we have Matt still in Genoa City.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) define their relationship. They are getting closer but are going to take a short pause because Vivica Fox is soon going out to shoot a movie. Stephanie will be back very soon and then she is going to resume this romance with Nate. They’ve already been intimate and things are going to move forward very soon.

Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is hit with a painful reminder of her troubled past. So, this reminder is about her psycho great aunt Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) who killed herself. That was back in January 2025 when she intentionally drank poisoned tea. So, Claire’s looking at her phone and Victoria asks, “What is wrong?” Claire says she’s back. Aunt Jordan strikes again. I loved Colleen Zenk on The Young and the Restless, but I do hope that Claire’s crazy aunt is not coming back from the dead. Fans would flip. Fortunately, The Young and the Restless really doesn’t do a whole lot of resurrections.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Steps Up

Wednesday, September 23rd on The Young and the Restless. Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) goes to great lengths for Billy. We know Cane and Billy are sort of brothers, so I wonder if Cane might offer to let Kyle and Jack throw Billy’s bachelor party at the GCAC. Maybe Sally’s bachelorette, too. Cane may even offer to cover the cost.

Audra is blindsided by Sally, so she tells her that Chelsea is going to take Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) place as a bridesmaid. Audra is going to flip and give Sally a harsh warning. Audra says she’s in Sally’s corner, but Audra doesn’t want Sally to make this huge mistake for Chelsea. You know, we’re going to see Adam make this sacrifice. And he tells Chelsea he supports her being Sally’s bridesmaid and said he will stay home from the wedding so he doesn’t make things awkward for Sally or cause a scene with Billy.

Young and Restless Spoilers: Kyle Surprises Victoria

Thursday, September 24th, Victoria is kept on her toes by Kyle. So, he and Victoria meet up for some more sexy time at the motel. And I suspect Victoria is doing something with her toes because Kyle is in control this time. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) eases up on Phyllis. I suspect this has something to do with Matt and Phyllis wanting to prove he’s a good guy now.

Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) makes a much needed visit. The fall preview says Ashley and Tracy have differing opinions of Sally. So, I wonder if it’s Ashley that doesn’t care for Sally or the other way around. Tracy shows up at Billy and Sally’s place and Billy ask what Tracy’s doing there and if everything’s okay. And she wants Billy to tell her if something is wrong. So, we’ll see what’s on Tracy’s mind.

Y&R Spoilers: Jack’s Vow & Nick’s Dilemma

Friday, September 25th on The Young and the Restless, we have got Victor helping Nikki get ready for success. This is with Vibrante. But I’m also sure this is just a way for Victor to target Jabot. Jack makes a vow to Diane, and we may see Jack promising Diane he’ll put her feelings above his friendship with Nikki, but come on, Jack isn’t going to do that.

Also, Nick asks for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)’s help with a difficult decision. I don’t think it’s work related because Nick already talked Newman business with the family. I tend to think this might be about Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow). So, we may see Nick asking Sharon about his thoughts, wondering if he should go look for Marie because he is worried about her.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Matt Stays or Goes?

Then the week of September 28th through October 2nd on The Young and the Restless, we’re going to see if Matt decides to stay in Genoa City and if he is going to fully commit to Phyllis. But I think Patty is going to be an ongoing issue. Victoria and Kyle keep sneaking around, but we know that somebody’s going to bust them.

We’ll find out what kind of reminder that Claire gets about Jordan. And we may see Nick trying to track Marie down, which I bet Nick’s family does not want. We’ll see what Psycho Patty’s next move is and who she targets first. Sally and Billy keep preparing for their wedding as it gets closer and closer. Also, there’s been talk of a Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) recast, so I’m going to keep an eye on that for you guys.

Plus, Diane really struggles with her worries about Patty being a threat and also Victor and Nikki being a threat to Jabot and to the Abbotts and specifically to Jack. Also, I think we are going to see Victor plotting against Jabot. I think he’s gonna find a way to weaponize Vibrante and I think he’s going to do all of this behind Nikki’s back. And Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is back soon because Cait Fairbanks is taping again.

With Ben Affleck set to release his new directorial effort, Animals, on Netflix in a few weeks, one of his most underseen recent movies is witnessing a resurgence on a rival platform. Earlier this year, Affleck starred alongside his longtime creative partner and close friend Matt Damon in The Rip, which emerged as a major hit for Netflix. The Rip also received a positive review from none other than Quentin Tarantino, who declared it the best movie he’d seen this year. Animals is a crime-thriller in which Affleck plays a mayoral candidate who finds himself in a moral quandary when his child is kidnapped. Interestingly, a similar premise was wrapped in an entirely different package in Affleck’s 2023 movie that’s currently seeing a surge in interest.

The movie in question, a mind-bending sci-fi thriller, starred Affleck as a homicide detective who gets embroiled in a case that has links to his missing daughter. The movie was directed by Robert Rodriguez, who also served as the editor and cinematographer, with several of his children performing other behind-the-scenes creative duties. While Affleck played the lead role, the film’s supporting cast was rounded out by Alice Braga, William Fichtner, and Jackie Earle Haley.

Ben Affleck’s Forgotten Thriller Is Outperforming Major Hits on Hulu

We’re talking, of course, about Hypnotic. The film was distributed domestically by Ketchup Entertainment and Relativity Media, grossing around $16 million against a reported budget of $65 million. It now holds a 32% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Although Hypnotic isn’t without glimmers of inspiration, the ultimate effect of this often clunky crime caper will be to leave you feeling rather sleepy.” According to FlixPatrol, Hypnotic is currently the number-one movie domestically on Hulu, ahead of The Devil Wears Prada 2, Coraline, and another Affleck home-video hit, The Accountant 2.

Affleck’s Animals will be released on Netflix on October 9, while Rodriguez is working on a new slate of productions through a recently launched company called Brass Knuckle Films. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

With the recent release of its Season 4 finale, it’s no surprise that Nick Santora’s hit crime show Reacher is once again the number one series on Prime Video this week. Starring Alan Ritchson in the title role and inspired by Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, the action show has been a huge success ever since it first premiered in 2022, and the fourth season has continued the show’s winning streak with another popular and acclaimed installment. However, in case you’re bummed out about the season ending, fear not, because there’s no shortage of great series to explore in the streaming platform’s catalog. With that said, here’s a look at three great shows that we think you should binge this week on Prime Video.

‘Bosch’ (2014–2021)

Developed by Eric Overmyer and inspired by the novels of Michael Connelly, Bosch is a police procedural series starring Titus Welliver as LAPD detective Harry Bosch. The show explores Bosch’s various cases and his personal and professional struggles as he tries to ensure justice is served. Besides Welliver, the series also stars Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Lance Reddick, Annie Wersching, Sarah Clarke, Madison Lintz, and more in key roles.

An engaging, if not very inventive, procedural, Bosch was quite favorably received during its seven-season run. The series earned praise from fans and critics alike for effectively recreating the vibe of its source material, as well as for its gritty style, excellent performances, and suspenseful writing. The show has also inspired multiple spin-offs, including the sequel series Bosch: Legacy, the spin-off Ballard, and the upcoming prequel show, Bosch: Start of Watch.

‘American Horror Story: Murder House’ (2011)

Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story is by far one of the most iconic horror shows of the 21st century. The anthology’s first season, retroactively titled Murder House, centers on a family who move into a restored mansion in the aftermath of personal tragedies and discover that the house is haunted by the ghosts of its former residents. The season’s ensemble cast includes Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Denis O’Hare, and Jessica Lange.

American Horror Story Season 1 was a major hit, garnering positive reviews and high ratings, becoming one of the biggest successes of 2011. The season also earned several accolades, including 17 Emmy nominations and the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama. Twisted, violent, and utterly terrifying, Murder House is easily the best entry point into American Horror Story’s ongoing 12-season-plus mythology for new viewers, and the season’s also a beloved favorite for old fans.

‘Fleabag’ (2016–2019)

A dark comedy series created by, written by, and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fleabag is adapted from her one-woman show and follows the titular 30-something. The show follows her life as a single woman living in London, exploring her personal, professional, and romantic struggles, as well as her grief over the deaths of her mother and her best friend/business partner. Besides Waller-Bridge, the show also stars Sian Clifford, Andrew Scott, Olivia Colman, Brett Gelman, Fiona Shaw, Kristin Scott Thomas, and more in notable roles.

Presented in a self-referential first-person narrative, Fleabag shares a darkly humorous perspective on loss, heartbreak, shame, and complicated family dynamics. Cheeky and wickedly funny, the show tackles painful themes with greater heart than most serious dramas, delivering a powerful and wholesome experience. Masterfully written and performed, the series is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest TV shows of the past decade, earning several accolades and universal acclaim.

Hey Big Brother fans, looks like Rick Devens‘ HOH came to an abrupt end today because of the pharaoh’s curse and his Head of Household run is official done. The veto ceremony happened with Drew Campbell using his medal, a renom and then the abrupt elimination of one of the final five.

Let’s get into all of that including live feeds fun and what’s happening next in Big Brother 28. Plus, we also expect to get a new Head of Household result later today, but so far, the feeds are still down so that comp’s not playing out yet.

Big Brother: Yash and Dee are Targets

First, for what it is worth, you saw Melody Morris‘s Diary Room session on Sunday’s episode saying she’s fine getting Yash Patel or Dee Valladares out. Both are big targets. That played out intercut with the scenes discussing who she’d renom.

She was debating Drew vs Yash. But here’s something to consider. Those Diary Room sessions taped AFTER the double eviction. Because they only had moments on Thursday’s live show for the conversations, then Melody renommed Yash.

Then, Yash was voted out and went to meet Julie Chen Moonves. Everything Melody said was with the benefit of hindsight. Those DR sessions taped post-show on Thursday so they were still in the same outfits as the live eviction.

Then, they were edited to intersperse with the scenes of Melody chatting frantically with a pleading Taylor Brown to make it seems like Melody was fine with however it went.

It’s true that Yash and Dee are both big targets but also, Melody seemed to really believe that Drew would vote like they wanted to evict Dee. But she and Devens used their icon mojo to sway him to stay on the dark side with them.

And Drew stayed loyal to them over Melody. Not that it matters much, but the way Big Brother edits thing is a bit misleading if you’re a casual who doesn’t stay current on the life feeds.

Like how the DRs that air during the comps on the episodes are all filmed later. This is hard core evidence of scripting, but it’s whatever. Reality shows are never real. That being said, rigging and scripting aren’t the same thing.

Big Brother 28: Hairbrush Swiped Again

Okay, so now, live feeds fun. Dee showed Drew where she hid his hairbrush in the pool and he showed Dee where he hid her sunglasses. And then on Sunday night, the houseguests got an alcohol delivery.

They got five beers – one each – plus a bottle of wine. This was the last hurrah before Monday’s early eviction. We also had Dee making a F2 deal with Drew. And Dee also made one with Taylor.

Plus, we had Dee and Devens reaffirming their final two deal which neither seems likely to stick to. But CBS might like to see a Survivor final two of Dee sitting next to Devens. I don’t think Julie would like it.

Off the feeds, Jason DePuy got himself a brand new wig and cut it into a skullet. Yash inspired obviously. He called it a drag skullet. Jason said he’s selling it and bidding starts at $50k.

Speaking of pre-jurors, Kamu Kirk‘s asking for people to vote for Yash and Taylor for AFP. Also, Survivor 50 winner and Big Brother 28 final four Dee clocked herself. With Drew snapping pics, Dee climbed up on the dining room table time machine while he took pics with the selfie phone production gave them.

Also on the live feeds, Drew maybe got a goodbye kiss because he and Melody were in his pod bed last night and they were laughing, giggling. Not for that long and the lights were on.

Big Brother: Egyptian Eviction Results

In Big Brother 27, by the way, at Final 5, they kept the feeds down for more than seven hours while they did the veto ceremony, renom, with that weird mastermind voodoo doll thing and then rolled into the HOH comp.

And the feeds came back up with one less houseguest. Keanu was ousted, and a new HOH. This year, we didn’t get the all at once treatment. But when the feeds came back up, Drew had played his veto medallion.

Looks like Taylor was the renom. Doesn’t really matter though because in the end, Melody was packed off to jury house to join Barrett, Yash, Angela and Lala.

Melody Leaves the BB28 House without Fanfare

Melody didn’t even get to pause and talk to Julie or see goodbye videos. And Melody should be the last one officially sent to the jury house because they are down to the final four and the sixth juror should meet them at the jury round table.

And of course the seventh juror will join them as they are sitting in those jury chairs right before they vote on the winner. Drew wasn’t taking chances when he played his veto. Rightly so, because Dee might’ve blindsided Devens and evicted Drew.

Then, the feeds went back down and when they came up, Devens is going to be evicted – not from Big Brother 28 but from his HOH room because a new HOH will be crowned.

And whichever of them is Head of Household will likely target each other. Unless Taylor wins, she’s headed back to the block. They need to just give her a bungee cord because Devens just had her there last week.

With Taylor’s renom today from Devens, that’s six times on the block. Victoria was on the block ten times in Big Brother 10, so Taylor won’t break the record. My favorite frequent block-sitter of all time was America’s Favorite Dentist (AFD), Johnny Mac.
