Kanye West Seeks Trial Delay Over Milo Yiannopoulos’ Deportation
Kanye West is asking a judge to postpone his upcoming civil trial, pointing to unfinished legal preparation, planned concerts in Russia, and Milo Yiannopoulos‘ deportation from the United States. The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye, is currently scheduled to face trial on October 12 in a discrimination lawsuit filed by former Donda Academy security guard Benjamin Provo. Ye wants the proceedings moved to May 17, 2027, or another date that works for the court and both parties. The judge has not yet approved the requested delay.
Kanye West Wants More Time To Prepare For Trial
According to TMZ, Ye’s attorneys filed court documents last week detailing why they believe the October trial should be postponed. The legal team claims significant preparation remains unfinished because Provo and his attorney have not been cooperative during depositions and the document discovery process.
Ye’s lawyers further allege that Provo’s side has repeatedly delayed pretrial matters, leaving too much work to complete before the current start date.
In addition to requesting a continuance, Ye is seeking sanctions against Provo and his lawyer. Sanctions can include financial penalties or other court-ordered consequences, but Ye must first persuade the judge that the opposing side violated discovery rules or otherwise interfered with the case.
The filing does not automatically change the trial date. Unless the judge grants the motion, the October 12 date remains in place.
Benjamin Provo Accuses Ye Of Workplace Discrimination
Provo filed his lawsuit in April 2024 after working as a security guard at Donda Academy and other facilities connected to Ye. According to the complaint, Provo began working for Ye’s organization in August 2021. He alleges that Ye and members of the rapper’s management team treated Black employees less favorably than their White colleagues.
Provo further claims that his pay was reduced after he raised concerns about wage disparities. He also alleges that Ye demanded that he cut his dreadlocks despite the hairstyle being connected to his Muslim faith. The former security guard claims he was ultimately fired after refusing to remove his dreadlocks.
More recent court documents reportedly show Provo seeking approximately $23 million in damages. Ye has argued that Provo was employed by a third-party company rather than directly by him, according to TMZ.
Ye’s Reported Russia Concerts Face Venue Uncertainty
Ye is also arguing that the October 12 trial date conflicts with his performance schedule. The rapper says he is expected to travel to Russia for concerts planned for October 10 and 11, placing the performances immediately before the trial is scheduled to begin. However, the status of the shows remains unclear.
St. Petersburg’s Gazprom Arena was initially announced as the venue, but the stadium later said it would not host Ye on those dates. The venue also maintained that it had not signed a rental agreement for the concerts.
Moscow-based promoter Say Agency disputed the suggestion that the performances had been canceled and claimed the arena had initially approved the events. The promoter indicated it was searching for another venue, but no replacement location had been publicly confirmed.
Milo Yiannopoulos’ Deportation Is Raised In The Motion
Yiannopoulos’ immigration situation has also become part of Ye’s request for additional time. Ye’s attorneys identified his former chief of staff as one of the people most knowledgeable about the allegations in Provo’s lawsuit. The filing notes that Immigration and Customs Enforcement “very recently and very publicly deported” him.
Yiannopoulos was detained at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in August before being returned to the United Kingdom. The Department of Homeland Security said Yiannopoulos entered the United States legally in May 2019 but remained in the country beyond his authorized stay.
An immigration judge issued a final removal order on July 22 after he failed to attend an immigration hearing, according to DHS. Yiannopoulos was arrested the following month and deported one day later.
Yiannopoulos had previously claimed he was living in the United States under an O-1 nonimmigrant visa. That classification is generally available to people who demonstrate extraordinary ability or achievement in fields including business, education, science, athletics and the arts.
His return to the United Kingdom could complicate deposition scheduling, communication with attorneys, or an eventual trial appearance. However, the court will decide whether his location creates a serious enough obstacle to justify postponing the case for approximately seven months.
Ye Reportedly Distanced Himself From His Former Chief Of Staff
The trial motion comes amid reports that Ye’s relationship with Yiannopoulos has deteriorated. Yiannopoulos previously occupied a powerful position in Ye’s organization as his chief of staff. He was also involved in the rapper’s political activities and occasionally handled media requests.
Following the deportation, a source claimed Ye “does not want to be involved with Milo anymore.” The insider also alleged that Ye asked Yiannopoulos to move out of one of his properties.
The reported breakdown emerged as Ye prepared for a performance at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. According to the source, the rapper had “no idea why Milo was coming to the concert.”
The insider further alleged that Yiannopoulos had not been trusted within Ye’s circle for some time. Yiannopoulos reportedly described himself as Ye’s publicist, although the title was allegedly never formally given to him.
The judge must now determine whether the remaining discovery work, Ye’s proposed Russia performances, and Yiannopoulos’ deportation justify moving the trial to May 17, 2027. The court will also rule separately on Ye’s request for sanctions against Provo and his attorney.

Drama is brewing within the MomTok community and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast as the Hulu reality show undergoes a major shakeup.
“It is a mess between the girls behind the scenes, and everyone has really turned their backs against Taylor Frankie Paul,” a source exclusively shares with Us. “Taylor has not been in a good place mentally and does not have many people who are supporting her publicly, which is hard.”
Although Jessi Draper has publicly supported her costar and friend, the insider says “almost all of the girls agree that Taylor is a ticking time bomb and ultimately can’t trust her.”
“They are over her,” the source explains, “and don’t want to deal with it anymore.”
Although Hulu has not confirmed any casting decisions for upcoming seasons, Mikayla Mathews previously announced that she would not be returning to the reality show and said she would be donating the money she would have earned for the rest of season 6 to the National Children’s Alliance.
According to a source, many of the girls, including Layla Taylor and Mayci Neeley, are unsure if they will continue for future seasons.
“Everything is up in the air,” the source shares. “It is renewed, but producers are very unclear about how the show will proceed.”
On Monday, September 21, Taylor, 32, seemingly confirmed her exit from the show in a social media post.

“My gratitude goes to all the networks that supported me throughout this and gave me the chance to return. My question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going to be enough…I’m just relieved to be out.”
While one source says it was a decision made by the network that Taylor agreed “was for the best,” another insider denies producers pushed the reality star out.
As the second insider shares, “Everyone wants what is best for Taylor and her health.”
Us has reached out to Hulu and Taylor’s rep for comment.
The SLOMW returned for its long-awaited fifth season on September 10 after production was paused earlier this year amid legal issues involving Taylor and her ex Dakota Mortensen.
Taylor previously expressed her disappointment at some cast members not supporting her on or off camera.
“I originally was willing to be removed to let them all continue on with less stress and I’m back to that point,” she wrote via Instagram. “Some of the girls know what I’ve been through and then to turn and collectively pile on with their ‘statements’ knowing there has been ongoing abuse through the system the last 8 months on top of what I’ve endured. The band’s guitarist and co-founder passed away on Sunday, September 20, at age 45 after a years-long cancer battle.
Hayley Williams Pays Tribute To The ‘Legend’ Chad Gilbert
On September 23, the “Simmer” singer took to her Instagram Stories in order to pay tribute to her ex-husband. They began dating in 2008 and became engaged in 2014. They married in February 2016 after nearly eight years together, but announced their split in 2017. The divorce was finalized later that year.
“Have not known what to say or if it’s appropriate,” she wrote. “But I feel sure now that I want to bc life is made of the paths we cross and the reasons we cross them are infinite.”
“Chad is indeed a legend in the scene and my time connected to him taught me a lot. He introduced me to people that continue to shape my life in beautiful ways, and to music and culture that has made life a lot richer,” she continued.

Chad Gilbert Passed Away On September 20
Chad Gilbert’s death was announced on September 20, the day he died, by his wife, Lisa Cimorelli. In a lengthy Instagram post, the band wrote, “On the morning of September 20th, Chad Everett Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep. He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished. We are devastated and shocked by how quickly he left us, yet so grateful for how peacefully and smoothly he went.”
“The amount of visitors that crowded the hospital lobby at a moment’s notice is a testament to how beloved and cherished Chad was, and always will be,” he continued. “He was a legendary musician, but his favorite accomplishment was being a husband and father. His biggest dreams came true. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Lily, his mother, Jackie, and his brother, Brian.”

Yesterday was Hobbit Day, and fans of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s work had plenty to celebrate on the momentous holiday. The Lord of the Rings is full of life more than ever at the moment, across television, the silver screen, and beyond. In less than two months, Prime Video’s prequel series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, will return with the first four episodes of its third season on November 11, bringing war to Mordor once more and introducing Jamie Campbell Bower to Middle-earth as Celeborn. Former The Late Show host and Tolkien superfan Stephen Colbert is also preparing his own cinematic journey into Mordor in collaboration with Philippa Boyens and Peter McGee, covering the eighth chapter in The Fellowship of the Ring, Fog on the Barrow-downs. There’s even a new Middle-earth-set game from Kingdom Come developers Warhorse Studios in early development.
However, most eyes are set on the horizon of December 17, 2027, when The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum will ride into theaters. Production began in the franchise’s picturesque longtime home of New Zealand back in July with director and star Andy Serkis seamlessly slipping back into the rasping tones of the titular wretched creature. Set between Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit and original Lord of the Rings trilogy, it explores the perspective of Gollum, as Gandalf, played by a returning Ian McKellen, sends the ranger Strider, aka Aragorn, now embodied by Jamie Dornan, out in search of the creature to stop him before he can reveal the ring’s location to Sauron’s forces. A lot of buzz has surrounded the return of many of Jackson’s original stars, and now, Warner Bros. is puilling back the curtain on the effort to bring Middle-earth back to life.
In accordance with Hobbit Day, the studio unveiled a collection of set photos from The Hunt for Gollum on its official TikTok page. Included among the set is a first look at Elijah Wood‘s return to The Shire as Frodo Baggins, though he’s only shown from behind. That’s probably intentional, given much of the cast will use de-aging technology to appear as they did in the original, but he does look accurate for what is shown of him. Otherwise, the rest of the images are a nostalgic look at the idyllic Shire, showing off the gorgeous, green-laden landscape and actors dressed once more for Middle-earth, while Serkis mans the camera.

George Floyd‘s family is reportedly asking for answers regarding the millions of dollars raised by his GoFundMe Memorial campaign. Floyd was murdered by the police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25, 2020, and millions of dollars were raised through the platform afterward.

George Floyd’s Family Wants Answers About GoFundMe Millions
Three of Floyd’s family members — Zsazsa, LaTonya, and Rodney Floyd — are asking for an accounting of millions of dollars raised on the platform, according to a letter obtained by TMZ. The letter was reportedly dated Tuesday, August 11, and it notes that approximately $19 million was donated to the GoFundMe.
Rodney, Zsazsa, and LaTonya are asking their brother, Philonise Floyd, for an account of the donations.
“We want to see the records,” the letter states. “Understand how decisions were made, and make sure the family’s questions are answered. We’re speaking up because transparency matters.”
Siblings Claim They Haven’t Received Their Fair Share
The siblings claimed that they’ve repeatedly asked for the GoFundMe records. Not only that, but they also said they requested documentation about how the funds were distributed. They say they haven’t received their fair share of the millions.
Subsequently, Philonise has 20 days from the date of receipt of the letter to provide documentation. However, the family’s attorney said that she hoped the request could be handled amicably.
Ben Crump Also Contacted Over Funds
According to PEOPLE, the GoFundMe is run by Adner Marcelin of Ben Crump Law. The donations were reportedly the most funds ever raised on the platform.
The family reportedly told TMZ that, in addition to contacting their brother, they’ve also contacted Crump. However, they said they haven’t heard back yet. A separate GoFundMe for Floyd’s daughter Gianna raised more than $2 million.

The longer Coyote vs. Acme runs, the more it proves Warner Bros. should have had more faith in it instead of accepting the tax write-off. As the latest Looney Tunes feature has opened in more regions, its box office numbers have kept rising, reaching another milestone. Perhaps shelving this movie was a mistake on Warner Bros.’ end.
Coyote vs. Acme is the latest animated/live-action hybrid feature, in which Wile E. Coyote sues the Acme Corporation over every failed product this Looney Tunes character has used in his attempts to catch the Road Runner. Since its release, Coyote vs. Acme has earned over $80 million worldwide, with its current domestic earnings totaling over $55 million. But it wasn’t the tax write-off or its reported budget that Coyote vs. Acme surpassed.
ScreenRant reported that as of September 20, 2026, Coyote vs. Acme continued to prove Warner Bros. wrong by outgrossing five films the studio released domestically. Coyote vs. Acme has surpassed The End of Oak Street, Practical Magic 2, Evil Dead Burn, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, and They Will Kill You, while Supergirl, Mortal Kombat II, and Wuthering Heights remain above it. Warner Bros. Entertainment didn’t distribute Coyote vs. Acme. Ketchup Entertainment bought the distribution rights from Warner Bros. for $50 million following the backlash.
What To Watch If You Like ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’
As of writing, Coyote vs. ACME has yet to announce a streaming release date. In the meantime, there are other films worth watching, especially if you saw this feature in theaters. The first that come to mind are the Space Jam films: Space Jam and Space Jam: A New Legacy. Both were live-action/animated hybrids in which the Looney Tunes played basketball alongside notable basketball players: Michael Jordan in the first movie and LeBron James in the sequel. Both Space Jam movies were praised by audiences, earning 63% and 79% audience scores, respectively.
Another movie worth watching if you enjoyed Coyote vs. ACME is Who Framed Roger Rabbit, released in 1988 and starring Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Charles Fleischer, Stubby Kaye, and Joanna Cassidy. This feature takes place in 1947 Los Angeles, where famous cartoon star Roger Rabbit seeks help from private detective Eddie Valiant (Hoskins) after he is accused of murdering businessman Marvin Acme (Kaye) and sets out to find the real killer. Michelle Williams is pursuing a new personal milestone years after finding global fame with Destiny’s Child. The singer has enrolled at Regent University to study psychology and says she is committed to earning her degree.
Her first shot at higher education took a different path, as Williams left a criminal justice program after two years to pursue opportunities in music.
Michelle Williams Vows To ‘Finish Strong’ After Returning To School
Michelle Williams is hitting the books again after putting college aside decades ago to pursue her music career.
The Destiny’s Child alum revealed that she is now a sophomore at Regent University, where she is studying psychology. Williams announced the news on Instagram alongside a photo of herself wearing a shirt bearing the Virginia-based Christian university’s name.
“Chiiiiiiiiile, your girl is back in school!!” she wrote.
Williams admitted she initially hesitated to make her return to college public. The singer said she had not even told some family members and friends because she feared she might not complete her studies. However, the 47-year-old is determined to see this through. “I’m going to finish, and I’m going to finish strong,” Williams declared.
Williams Put Her First Degree On Hold For A Music Career
Williams also poked fun at her choice of major, joking that she is studying psychology “because y’all need help!” She praised her professors and advisers before asking fans to pray for her “endurance and focus.”
The singer’s latest academic pursuit comes nearly three decades after her first attempt at earning a degree.
She graduated from Rockford Auburn High School in Illinois in 1997 before enrolling at Illinois State University. At the time, she chose criminal justice as her major because she wasn’t sure singing could provide a viable career.
Williams ultimately spent two years at the university before music presented another path, as she left school and began working as a backing vocalist, including touring with R&B singer Monica.
Fans Applaud Michelle Williams’ Decision To Return To College
Williams’ announcement has drawn an outpouring of support, with many applauding her decision to pursue a degree despite already achieving fame and success. “It’s NEVER too Late,” one X user declared, while another wrote, “Wishing her nothing but success and longevity!!!!!”
Others were impressed that Williams wanted to continue her education at this stage of her career. “Impressive when you have fame & fortune and still choose to go to uni,” one person remarked.
Her psychology joke also proved popular. “We do need help, Michelle!!! Good for you and soon for us too,” a fan quipped, while another responded, “‘Y’all need help, she didn’t lie.”
“Omg imagine going to school, and Michelle Williams is in your class?!?” another user wrote, admitting they would probably end up singing the bridge of “Survivor” to her.
Williams Recently Performed ‘Say My Name’ And ‘Cater 2 U’ In The Bahamas
Williams has also been revisiting the music that helped make her famous during her own recent performances.
Earlier this month, the singer took over Jon Batiste’s Jazz Club at the Baha Mar resort in Nassau, Bahamas, for a two-night engagement dubbed “An Unforgettable Night with Michelle Williams.”
According to Complex, Williams performed on September 6 and 7, delivering a set spanning several chapters of her career. Destiny’s Child favorites “Cater 2 U” and “Say My Name” made the cut, alongside material from her solo catalog.
Michelle Williams Also Dipped Into Her Broadway And Gospel Catalog
Williams also tapped into her theater background with show tunes and brought gospel into the mix, including her track “Say Yes.”
The Broadway veteran had teased the limited run on Instagram before heading to the Bahamas, telling followers, “Bahamas, I’m coming your way. TWO NIGHTS ONLY.”
Police in Mississippi have arrested a second man in the death of a Black woman, Tasia Fortune, found hanging from a tree. They have also issued an arrest warrant for a third suspect.

Man Arrested In Connection To Tasia Fortune’s Death
Jackson police said late Tuesday (Sept. 22) that they arrested 25-year-old Earnest Lloyd Jr. in the death of 29-year-old Tasia Fortune. As said, her body was found hanging behind an abandoned home in the city on Aug. 3.
Like Fortune and the first man arrested, 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff, Lloyd is Black. Lloyd appeared at a brief hearing on Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi. Meanwhile, Ratliff was arrested earlier this month on murder charges. He pleaded not guilty and remains jailed without bond.
Tasia’s Mom Reacts To Second Arrest In Daughter’s Passing
Fortune’s mother, Christy Spivey, who attended the recent hearing, said afterward that she was ecstatic to see arrests made in her daughter’s death. She said that neither she nor several of her daughter’s friends knew Lloyd. Additionally, she cautioned that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
“My family is not the only family that this is affecting,” Christy Spivey said of the defendants’ families. “I feel for them as well. The only difference is that mine can never come back.” She added, “I’ll never truly have peace.”
A Kentucky native, Tasia Fortune had four children and had been living in Jackson for about a decade, relatives said. Spivey previously said her daughter struggled with homelessness in recent years, and that she wasn’t sure where her daughter was living at the time of her death. She said that before her death, her daughter had talked about starting a cleaning business and was trying to get her life in order.
Police Is Looking For A Third Suspect
Mississippi police said in a statement that they issued an arrest warrant for a third suspect. However, they gave no details about that person’s identity or alleged link to Tasia Fortune’s death. They also said they expect to issue additional warrants.
After the arrest of Jarques Ratliff (the first suspect), Jackson’s police chief, RaShall Brackney, said Ratliff had an “association” with Fortune but didn’t elaborate.
Police haven’t suggested a possible motive for the killing or said whether they think race played a role. Still, the case has attracted widespread attention because the manner of death recalled lynchings in the Southern state.
