Meghan Markle’s latest brand promotion is getting roasted online, with critics accusing the Duchess of Sussex of leaning too heavily on her family life to sell her business.

Meghan marked Memorial Day by promoting a jam from her As Ever brand while sharing a rare detail from inside her and Prince Harry’s Montecito home. In the post, the mother of two revealed the family nicknames used by Harry and their children, and named which flavors they apparently love most.

However, the personal touch is not landing well with everyone, as several social media users accuse her of using Harry and the kids to generate attention for the product.

Meghan appeared in a recent video shared on her As Ever brand’s Instagram page to promote the company’s Strawberry Spread and Orange Marmalade.

In the caption, the brand noted that the spreads were “inspired by the jams Meghan has created in her own kitchen and shared over the years.” However, her personal touch did not land well with everyone, as critics quickly took to social media to accuse her of using her husband and children to promote the jams.

“I know very few Americans who like orange marmalade, but it’s very British, so she has to say that it’s her favorite,” one X user wrote. “I have no idea why she continues to try to align herself with a country that is so terribly racist (per her), but here we are.”

Others focused on the setting of the video, with one user claiming, “She can’t film in her own kitchen anymore because y’all made fun of it.”

Meghan And Harry Share Kids Online But Hide Their Faces

Although Meghan has continued to reference her children in some of her social media posts, she and Harry have largely avoided showing Archie and Lilibet’s faces.

Earlier this month, the Duchess of Sussex shared a rare family post from a trip to the Magic Kingdom with Harry, their children, and her mother, Doria Ragland.

In the video shared on Instagram, Meghan was seen kissing her mother on the cheek as they both wore playful costume ensembles. Archie and Lilibet also appeared in the post, but their faces were kept hidden.

One snap showed Harry and Meghan holding their children as they walked through the park, while another featured Lilibet meeting a Disney princess.

“They were celebrating the kids’ birthdays together,” a source told People. “The kids did lots of rides, and it was a special way to extend Mother’s Day for Meghan and her mom.”

Harry and Meghan may also be dealing with another royal snub, as reports claim they will not be attending Peter Phillips’ upcoming wedding.

Phillips, the son of Princess Anne and Harry’s cousin, is set to marry his fiancée in June. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly not expected to receive an invite amid concerns that their presence could overshadow the big day.

Harry and Phillips were once said to be close, but their relationship has reportedly cooled since the Duke stepped back from royal duties with Meghan in 2020 and relocated to the United States.

“It’s a royal snub; it’s the royal wedding of the year, and it is Princess Anne’s son, Peter … and the bottom line is that Harry has not been invited,” TalkTV host Mark Dolan told  Sky News.

 “Palace officials feel that Harry and Meghan are toxic and they would ruin the special day,” Dolan continued.

Sources recently claimed that the Montecito-based royals have seen their income tighten following several media and business ventures that failed to take off as expected. Meghan is now said to be expanding As Ever more aggressively, with one insider describing her as “basically the breadwinner,” per Page Six.

The couple’s expenses are reportedly more than $6 million per year, with nearly half of that amount allegedly going toward security. Other costs, including travel, food, staff, and day-to-day operations, are also said to be adding pressure.

Meanwhile, Meghan is pushing back after a selfie from a recent trip to Geneva sparked even more controversy online.

The photo showed the Duchess smiling beside Wille Rydman, Finland’s Minister of Social Affairs and Health, who has faced past allegations of inappropriate conduct.

Following the fallout on social media, Meghan’s team denied any association, saying she did not know Rydman, was unaware he would be at the event, and had no knowledge of the allegations against him before the photo was taken.

Barry Manilow is getting real about what cosmetic surgery he has gotten over the years.

Manilow’s cosmetic confession comes five months after he revealed his lung cancer diagnosis.

“As many of you know, I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks. Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI just to make sure that everything was OK,” he wrote via Instagram in December 2025. “The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed. It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.”

The “Mandy” singer shared that he needed to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous spot. He did not need chemotherapy because it was caught early.

Deny’s death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and friends who remembered him not only as a gifted performer but also as a warm and deeply generous presence behind the scenes.

Pierre Deny became familiar to Netflix viewers through his appearances in Seasons 3 and 4 of “Emily in Paris.”

The French actor portrayed Louis de Léon, the CEO of fashion powerhouse JVMA and the father of Nicholas de Leon, played by Paul Forman. 

His character became closely tied to the storyline involving Ashley Park’s Mindy Chen, who dated Nicholas during the series.

Deny’s death was confirmed Monday by his daughters, who revealed the actor died after complications connected to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS.

“It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS,” the family said in a statement per the Daily Mail.

ALS is a progressive nervous system disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, eventually leading to paralysis and loss of muscle control. According to the Mayo Clinic, there is currently no cure for the condition.

Long before joining Netflix’s glamorous Paris-set drama, Pierre Deny had become a respected figure in French television.

He appeared in more than 500 episodes of the soap opera “Demain nous appartient” (“Tomorrow Belongs To Us”), earning a loyal fan base through the years.

As tributes continued to pour in, French producer Raphael Benoliel, who said he was a friend of Pierre Deny’s, remembered the late actor as both a “great artist” and a “magnificent person.” 

In a heartfelt tribute shared on X, Benoliel explained that the two shared a deep passion for soccer, which he said Deny loved “above all else.” 

He recalled that they were still playing together “just a year ago like a couple of kids,” describing Deny as a “true enthusiast” who found joy in the game, friendship, and life itself.

In the wake of it, the core group of friends, which now includes Ginny (Erika Henningsen), continues their tradition of meeting up throughout the year for vacation, from upstate New York to a charming Italian village. Everyone is trying to figure out what the next chapter of life is going to look like, and each seasonal arc comes with its own personal and relational obstacles between partners and friends.

Just like the first season, The Four Seasons‘ return explores the complexities of life with heart and humor. Picking up with the core group is effortless, even with a sizable loss, and Season 2 honors where they’ve been, what they mean to each other, and where they’re going from here. Domingo once again assumes a spot in the director’s seat — this time, for the season premiere. Fey, too, embraces directing duties alongside her role as co-showrunner. There are still new corners for the series to explore, like what Ginny and Anne mean to each other after losing a man they both loved. Despite an increased familiarity with the characters and story structure, there’s an imbalance in Season 2, and it lacks the same emotional depth that the first season carried.

Nick’s death was one of Season 1’s most shocking moments — which, alongside Ginny’s pregnancy, also recontextualized previous scenes and conversations. His loss from the series’ core group is a massive blow to both the characters and the audience. Nick drove Season 1’s plot with his decision to leave his wife after 25 years of marriage, which impacted not just Anne and his daughter Lila (Julia Lester), but also his closest friends. Plus, Carell expertly captured the humor, pathos, and complexity of the type of character that suited him in both this series and later HBO’s Rooster.

Despite Nick’s death, his presence is felt for much of Season 2, with the premiere picking up months later as the group reunites in upstate New York to spread his ashes. What this season does so well is make the audience feel that loss, too, as Nick’s absence brings its own complications. Because he continues to drive the plot from beyond the grave, with his friends and loved ones left to navigate the aftermath, it leads to some beautifully heartfelt storylines. At the same time, something is missing from this show without Carell. The group’s core chemistry is still present, but it feels off without him there. In a way, Nick was the glue, and Season 2 both reflects his absence and suffers for it.

With The Four Seasons Season 2 exploring the aftermath of Nick’s death, one of its core themes is grief and how it manifests differently for every member of the friend group. The performance that proves most poignant is Will Forte’s Jack. Season 2 does explore Jack’s friendship with Nick and how his grief evolves, but what makes this storyline work so well is how Jack’s depression is written with subtlety and nuance. He’s not just defined by sadness; there’s anger simmering under his attempted optimism.

For those familiar with the enneagram, Jack is the textbook definition of a Type 9. He is a peacemaker who cares about the harmony of the group, while internally holding on to his own emotions; when he tries to hold that anger internally, he often directs it towards himself and profusely apologizes when it surfaces indirectly. Jack believes he’s a nice guy, but Season 2 reveals that he harbors a lot of anger. He’s even angry at Nick for not being there anymore. Many of the core group’s storylines hit hard in different ways, but Jack’s stands out the most.

While Jack’s depression permeates over the course of this year, Kate’s grief takes a backseat until the end of the season, with her darker thoughts pushed down in her efforts to keep Jack afloat. Although the conflict between Kate and Jack is stronger in Season 1, the second season does give their marriage its own interesting challenges. Should the series be renewed for a third season, there’s a hope that Kate is given more depth to examine her own existential crisis.

Certain Arcs Work Better Than Others in ‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2

Certain episode arcs are stronger than others in The Four Seasons‘ return. If there’s a weak part of the season, it belongs to the summer arc at the Jersey Shore. While there are important plot beats that happen, these two episodes ultimately slow the momentum compared to the spring and fall arcs, which are easily the strongest. Fall trades out college family weekend for a typical chaotic Thanksgiving episode you’d find in sitcoms. While Episode 5 falls into the usual trappings of these holiday episodes, even ending with another strain between Kate and Danny similar to Season 1, Episode 6 saves it with a brilliant reminder of why The Four Seasons works in the first place. The winter finale brings it home, but the ending itself lacks the emotional depth of the previous season.

Overall, The Four Seasons Season 2 is more uneven, yet still holds together thanks to the cast’s chemistry and its exploration of grief, depression, and moving forward. Carell’s absence both helps and hurts the series, especially since he’s gone on to work with Bill Lawrence, a creator and showrunner who arguably tackles these subjects better. While The Four Seasons doesn’t quite reach the emotional heights of a show like Shrinking, there’s still a warmth to the story that makes it easy to breeze through and be moved by along the way, resulting in a vacation I wouldn’t mind going on again next year.

DeenTheGreat Arrested In Miami-Dade Following Alleged Yacht Incident On Stream 

According to TMZ, Deen, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, was booked Wednesday morning and is currently being processed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

Authorities say the alleged situation started after a woman named Destiny Aleman accused Deen of trying to take her phone after she was kicked off a yacht. The woman told police that Deen allegedly became upset after other men attempted to talk to her, despite him warning her not to entertain anyone else. She claimed that once she got off the yacht, Deen grabbed her arm and attempted to take her phone, leaving a minor scratch.

The alleged incident was also reportedly captured during a livestream. Police also say Ring camera footage from the yacht allegedly showed Deen yelling for someone to grab the woman’s phone while trying to stop her from recording as she attempted to get away. At this time, records show Deen was arrested on a felony attempted strong-arm robbery charge, with his bond still listed as “to be set.

“Hell on Wheels” driver Mackenzie Shirilla claimed she was experiencing blackouts in newly released texts sent weeks before the fatal crash that claimed the lives of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, and their friend Davion Flanagan.

Shirilla, now 21, texted Russo about her alleged health scare in early July of 2022, according to the messages obtained by TMZ and published on Wednesday, May 27, noting she was concerned “it’s just gonna get worse.”

In the alleged unearthed texts, Russo questioned if Shirilla was vitamin deficient, noting it could impact blood flow to her brain.

Their exchange seemingly brought up lingering tension between the two, with Shirilla later responding to Russo, “Keep treating me like this see where that gets you.”

Her health condition has become a big topic following the release of Netflix’s The Crash, a documentary exploring Shirilla’s relationship with Russo, her drug use and posts on social media. She was sentenced to two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life in August 2023 after being convicted of murder, vehicular homicide and other charges. She was tried as an adult despite being 17 at the time. The judge notably described her in court as “literal hell on wheels.”

During her trial, she claimed to have suffered a blackout amid the deadly crash that took place on July 31, 2022, due to her postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) diagnosis, a chronic medical condition with symptoms like a fast heart rate, dizziness and fatigue.

Investigators discovered that she was racing down the road at a speed of 100 mph when she drove her Toyota Camry into a brick building in Strongsville, Ohio, that fateful morning. There was no trace of her ever putting her foot on the brake. Russo, 20, and Flanagan, 19, both did not have a seatbelt on and were pronounced dead at the scene while Shirilla suffered critical injuries and was air-lifted to a hospital.

Russo’s family has maintained that she was often making threats to their son before the crash. There was one alleged July incident captured on Russo’s phone, in which she was banging on the door, calling him derogatory names and threatening to key his car unless he let her in the house.

Another newly released text from Russo weeks before the crash showed that he was considering some time apart. He wrote to Shirilla, “I dont want u to think im abandoning u i wish it could work but i dont think its going to at this point especially with the threats we should just breakup so we can both fimd happiness somewhere else.”

After the crash, it was determined that Shirilla was under the influence of marijuana. Her blood tested negative for alcohol and mushrooms after the latter was found in her car.

One of Shirilla’s final Instagram posts is a tribute to Russo in September 2022, which said, “I just don’t understand why this had to happen, i f***ing miss you. we are soulmates. We did everything together we had the same dreams we wanted the same life I’ve never met anybody that would just make me feel so loved and protected.”

Shirilla is currently housed at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville and will be eligible for parole in October 2037.
