FunnyMike Responds To Rumors About Allegedly Expecting Two More Children
On Sunday, May 31, FunnyMike took to his Instagram Story to seemingly troll the internet amid the ongoing speculation. The content creator shared a sonogram image featuring two money bag emojis, which appeared to poke fun at recent claims by Jaliyah that he is expecting two additional children.
Shortly after, FunnyMike posted a series of videos addressing the rumors and urging social media users to stop flooding his DMs asking whether the allegations were true.
During the videos, he denied the claims and stated that he would have no issue publicly acknowledging additional children if the rumors were true.
“If that was the case, I wouldn’t mind telling y’all. Bringing kids into the world is a blessing,” he said.
FunnyMike continued by explaining that he is currently single and would take responsibility for any children he fathered.
“I’m single. They would’ve been taken care of just like the rest of them,” he added.
He later switched gears, telling single mothers to DM him if their children’s fathers aren’t around, claiming he’d send a few Cash App blessings.

Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White Drama: What to Know
Now in her third WNBA season, Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is beginning to face some criticism she did not encounter through her first two years.
With the Fever just 4-4 through eight games and coming off a brutal loss to the expansion Portland Fire, fans and media have sensed that internal tensions in Indiana may be boiling over.
During Indiana’s loss to Portland on Saturday, May 30, cameras caught Clark, 24, appearing to have a heated exchange with head coach Stephanie White. That came less than two weeks after Clark seemed to have an animated discussion with assistant coach Briann January during a game.
As the drama continues to unfold in the early part of the season, keep scrolling for all you need to know about the Caitlin Clark drama around the Indiana Fever.
Why Is Caitlin Clark Facing Criticism?

Caitlin Clark Photo by Ali Gradischer/Getty Images
While Clark’s season-long numbers are strong, she was held to just six points against the Fire and is mired in a brutal shooting slump. When she isn’t scoring, it’s easier to concentrate on the deficiencies in her game, like her sky-high turnover numbers and below average defense — something the Fire exploited to great success, targeting her in isolation.
Fever guard Lexie Hull said after the game that Clark appeared frustrated.
“I think we noticed they were trying to pick on Caitlin a little bit on defense tonight, and she was getting called for some fouls that, you know, fouls aren’t fun,” she told reporters.
She also downplayed the viral video as something the team had already moved on from.
“This is in the moment something that happened and not something that is talked about now in our locker room, talked about even later on in the game,” said Hull, 26. “That’s just something that happened, and unfortunately Caitlin’s got a camera on her 24/7, and so you see every little thing, but this happens almost every day in women’s basketball.”
What Have Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White Said About the Controversy?
Not much, at least not yet. White, 48, shot down any notion that Clark’s play led to the coach’s decision to bench her star before their apparent argument, saying it was part of her normal substitution patterns. Clark, herself, was critical of her and the team’s defense, saying she needs to do a better job of not fouling and that the team as a whole was late on its rotations.
What Else Led Up to Saturday’s Incident?
It’s been an odd start to the season for Clark and the Fever, to say the least. Clark was ruled out of an earlier game against the Fire with a reported back injury despite not being listed on the injury report. That led to a warning from the WNBA and seemingly unfounded speculation that Clark was actually benched, not injured, as a result of her argument with assistant coach January days before.
Then, on Thursday, May 28, Clark flouted league rules by declining to make herself available to the media following a close loss to the Golden State Valkyries in which she shot just 3-12 and committed five turnovers.
Is Stephanie White’s Job in Danger?

Stephanie White Photo by Justin Casterline/Getty Images
Contrary to reports, it does not seem like White needs to worry about her job security. Former ESPN and Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless added some temporary speculation after sharing a report from a fake account via X saying that White would be fired.
“No surprise: Stephanie White reportedly out after repeated in-game clashes with Caitlin Clark,” he wrote over the false report. “Not saying White was wrong – but YOU CAN’T SHOW UP THE FACE OF THE LEAGUE ON CAMERA.”
After multiple WNBA reporters pointed out the report was entirely fabricated, Bayless doubled down on his point, writing, “[White] won’t last much longer clashing during games with CAITLIN CLARK … even if her issues with Caitlin are mostly valid.”

New Mexico Woman Found Dead 1 Year After She Disappeared
New Mexico woman Melissa Casias has been found dead nearly one year after she went missing, with her last sighting being when she dropped off lunch for her daughter at work.
Casias, 53, was reported missing on June 26, 2025, when she didn’t arrive at work or return home after she was last seen around 2:15 p.m. walking southbound on State Road 518 from Talpa. After she was reported missing, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) classified her as a “missing endangered” person, according to an advisory bulletin.
Nearly one year later on Thursday, May 28, a hiker discovered human remains next to a hand gun in the McGaffey Ridge area of the Carson National Forest, the NMSP announced via Facebook on Saturday, May 30.
The Office of the Medical Investigator later identified the remains as belonging to Casias.
Casias’ family also took to their Facebook page “Find Melissa Mondragon Casias” on Sunday, May 31, to confirm her remains had been found.
“We confirm that the remains found in Rio Chiquito are Melissa. There will be more information to come but what we can tell you now is she was located in an area previously searched,” the family’s statement read. “This is a lot to process, our hearts are heavy and we fully intend to continue to pursue answers for justice.”
Casias’ cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Medical Investigator.
“The NMSP extend their deepest condolences to the Casias and Mondragon families during this difficult time,” the department added in their statement.
On the day of her disappearance, Casias brought food to her daughter at work and left the area around 1 p.m., according to KRQE.
When her daughter returned home from work, she grew concerned when she discovered that Casias had left behind her cell phone, purse, keys and wallet. The family later learned that a person saw Casias walking alone on the road that same day, which was verified by doorbell cameras located along State Road 518.
A Facebook page was created to help amid the search for Casias, which described her as “a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend.”
The page also shared that they offered a $7,000 reward for information leading to her return.
Additionally, the family set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for the reward. “This gofundme was set up in Melissa’s parent’s name, for the sole purpose of offering a REWARD for information leading to Melissa’s return. We are looking for support in furthering this investigation,” the page read. “Unfortunately, cases go cold all the time, and the police will sooner or later need to turn their attention to a new crime. We want to keep Melissa’s disappearance in the public eye, and encourage people to share what they know.”

Pregnant Woman Kills Woman Who Shared Kid With Baby’s Father
An Alabama woman will be spending the rest of her life in prison after she fatally shot another woman whose child was fathered by the same man.
The Birmingham Police Department announced that Aaniyah Nowden, who was eight months pregnant at the time of the crime, was charged with capital murder in connection to the 2023 death of Justina Wallace.
After she was found guilty, Nowden, 24, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Friday, May 29, according to AL.com. She received the sentence after prosecutors sought for her to be given the death penalty.
The crime took place on July 7, 2023, when Wallace, 36, was at a home in Birmingham. Wallace, who was several months pregnant at the time, was reportedly holding her toddler daughter and two of her sons were present when Nowden approached her with a gun.
Nowden fired the gun and Wallace was struck.
Wallace was then brought to an area hospital, where she died the following day after succumbing to her injuries.
While Nowden’s motive has not been confirmed, the father of Wallace’s toddler was also the father of Nowden’s child, according to AL.com. Nowden later gave birth while she was in police custody after the killing.
Nowden previously claimed she killed Wallace in self-defense, with her attorneys claiming in court that Wallace was “aggressive” and “belligerent” on the day of the shooting. Meanwhile, prosecutors argued that Wallace presented no threat to Nowden.
“This defendant shot and killed a pregnant woman who was carrying nothing but her baby Sky in her arms,” Deputy District Attorney Jason Wilson said during the trial, per AL.com. “Justina had no weapon, no gun, she wasn’t attacking anybody.”
According to the outlet, Nowden’s first trial reportedly ended in a mistrial because there were not enough jurors after the prosecution and defense ruled several potential jurors out.
The case did eventually go to trial and the jurors found Nowden guilty of the shooting on Thursday, May 28.
“We are grateful for the hard work and verdict reached by the jurors in this case. The Deputy District Attorneys both did a wonderful job along with the law enforcement agency responsible. However, the reality is when emotions are high logic is low. There is absolutely no winners in this case,” Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr said following Nowden’s guilty verdict, per WBRC. “People need to think before they grab that gun and change their lives forever. There are real consequences when you engage in violent emotional acts in Jefferson County.”

Homecoming’s Greatest Quote Remains 100% Undisputed
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has produced no shortage of memorable quotes over the years, yet nearly a decade after Spider-Man: Homecoming arrived in theaters, one line still stands above almost everything else the franchise has produced because of how perfectly it captures the essence of heroism. The quote comes during one of the movie’s most important scenes. After Peter Parker (Tom Holland) recklessly endangers countless lives while trying to stop Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton), Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) finally loses patience and takes back the high-tech Spider-Man suit he provided.
Peter protests that without the suit, he is nothing. Tony’s response remains one of the best pieces of advice ever delivered in a superhero movie:
“If you’re nothing without this suit, then you shouldn’t have it.”
Nine years later, that lesson has only become more relevant. In fact, the ending of The Boys may have accidentally provided the perfect example of why Tony Stark was completely right.
Tony Stark Was Never Really Talking About the Suit
At first glance, the quote sounds like a lecture about responsibility, but in reality, it goes much deeper than that. Throughout Homecoming, Peter becomes increasingly convinced that the Stark suit is what makes him special. The advanced technology gives him access to hundreds of functions, instant reconnaissance, enhanced combat options, and an artificial intelligence capable of helping him through almost any situation. Peter begins treating the suit like a shortcut to becoming an Avenger, and (to his credit) Tony recognizes the danger immediately. The problem is not that Peter lacks courage or good intentions: the problem is that he is starting to believe heroism comes from what he wears rather than who he is. That is why Tony takes everything away.
The brilliance of Homecoming is that the movie immediately proves Tony’s point. Peter spends the movie’s final act operating without any of Stark’s technology, and all he has left is a homemade costume and his own determination. Yet those are the moments when Peter feels most like Spider-Man. He still rushes into danger. He still risks his life to save people. He still chooses responsibility over his own comfort and safety. He chooses to be a hero. That idea has always been at the core of Spider-Man as a character. Long before the MCU existed, Peter Parker’s defining quality was his willingness to do the right thing even when it made his life harder. The powers matter, but they are secondary to the person using them. This quote works because it identifies a truth that applies far beyond Spider-Man: power reveals character, it does not create it.
Marvel’s 3-Part Action Series Is So Good, You’ll Finish It Before the Next Movie
You won’t want to escape this hero’s web.
Homelander Proves Exactly Why Tony Stark Was Right
That is what makes the ending of The Boys such an interesting companion piece to Homecoming following the series’ shocking and comics-deviant finale. Where Peter Parker learns that he can still be Spider-Man without the suit, Homelander (Antony Starr) discovers that he has no idea who he is without his powers. Throughout The Boys, Homelander defines himself entirely through superiority. He sees himself as a god because he is stronger, faster, and more durable than everyone around him. His identity is built on the assumption that nobody can challenge him and nobody can stop him, and his powers are the foundation of his entire self-image. The moment that foundation disappears, everything else begins collapsing with it.
Unlike Peter Parker, Homelander never developed a moral framework independent of his abilities. He never learned how to define himself through compassion, sacrifice, responsibility, or service to others. Strength became his personality because strength was always enough to get whatever he wanted. Once that advantage disappears, there is very little left underneath. That contrast is what makes Tony Stark’s quote feel so timeless. Peter Parker loses the suit and remains a hero. Homelander loses his powers and struggles to remain himself. One character understands that power is something he uses, while the other believes power is what he is. The difference is enormous.
Tony Stark’s Quote Defines What Makes a Hero
Many superhero stories focus on what happens when ordinary people gain extraordinary abilities. It is a compelling fantasy because everyone likes imagining how they would use incredible power. Spider-Man: Homecoming asks a more difficult question: who are you when the power is gone? That question matters because it strips away everything external. It removes the gadgets, the costumes, the abilities, and the spectacle. What remains is character. Peter Parker’s answer is simple: he keeps helping people. That remains true whether he is wearing Stark technology, a homemade costume, or no costume at all.
Homelander’s answer is much darker. Once the thing that made him feel superior disappears, he discovers he never built an identity capable of surviving without it. That is why Tony Stark’s line continues to resonate nine years later. It is not just a lesson for Peter Parker, it is a lesson for virtually every superhero story ever told. Real heroism is not measured by the power someone possesses, it is measured by who they choose to be when that power is taken away. Few characters embody that truth better than Spider-Man, and few movie quotes have ever explained it more clearly.

3 Years Later, Timothy Olyphant’s Most Divisive Western Miniseries Is Suddenly a Smash Hit
Timothy Olyphant fans are riding high following the news that his latest R-rated thriller, Over Your Dead Body, is now available to watch on streaming, and his new animated series, Mating Season, is dominating Netflix. Olyphant has also been busy as a Star Wars megastar in the last few years, thanks to his role as Cobb Vanth, whom he first played in the second season of The Mandalorian. He later returned as Cobb Vanth in the first and only season of The Book of Boba Fett, and despite there being a massive demand for more of the space sheriff, Star Wars has yet to figure out where is best for him to show up again. Olyphant was also busy last year, starring in one of the best sci-fi shows of the year with Alien: Earth, the spin-off show developed for TV by Noah Hawley (Fargo).
Olyphant has a lot of famous roles, but Raylan Givens from Justified is one that many would point to as the most important of his career. Olyphant earned his first Emmy nomination for Best Lead Actor for his performance in the show, and it was also the only Emmy nomination of his career until he earned a Best Guest Actor nod for his performance in The Mandalorian Season 2. Most fans thought that Olyphant’s days as Raylan Givens were behind him following the Justified series finale in 2015, but he returned to the character eight years later for the spin-off series, Justified: City Primeval. The limited series premiered back in 2023, but it was met with an extremely divisive reception, mostly from fans who weren’t pleased with the Detroit setting. Several years after Justified: City Primeval was released on Hulu, the show is still one of the platform’s most popular binge-watches.
What Is ‘Justified: City Primeval’ About?
The official synopsis for Justified: City Primeval, which also stars Boyd Holbrook, reads as follows: “Justified: City Primeval follows U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens as he tracks a ruthless Detroit criminal known as the Oklahoma Wildman through the city’s violent underworld. Balancing fatherhood with relentless pursuit, Raylan confronts corruption, revenge, and his own instincts in a gritty neo-noir continuation of the acclaimed Justified saga for modern television audiences.”
Justified: City Primeval holds a strong 92% from critics on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, but a poor 47% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter. Fans criticized the show for abandoning its Western setting, despite it being based on a different novel in the same series by Elmore Leonard.
Check out all eight episodes of Justified: City Primeval on Hulu and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the series.

Emilie Kiser Returns to Instagram After Grieving Son’s Death
Emilie Kiser has returned to Instagram after stepping away from social media to grieve the loss of her son, Trigg, on the first anniversary of his death.
“Hi guys. I have missed you and missed posting on here,” Kiser, 27, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, June 1. “With that being said, I am so grateful for the time I took off of posting and the way that allowed me to be with my family and feel all the emotions and waves of grief in the hardest month of our lives.”
During her time away from social media, Kiser said she was able to “connect deeper with long-distance family” and take some time away, “which gave us some needed space from parts of daily life that have felt especially difficult this past month and year.”
“We made new memories as a family with Teddy and most importantly, spent time together remembering our Triggy,” she wrote. “I am so grateful for the sweet messages and love that I have come back to.”
Emilie and her husband, Brady Kiser, share 14-month-old son Teddy. In May 2025, news broke that the couple’s eldest child, Trigg, died at the age of 3 after being found unconscious in the family’s pool.
Authorities initially recommended pressing criminal charges against Brady because he was the only adult home at the time of the accident, but the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office ultimately decided against it because there was “no likelihood of conviction.”
Last month, Emilie appeared on TikTok and told her followers that she would be taking a mental health break from social media.

Emilie and Brady Kiser Courtesy of Emilie Kiser/Instagram
“This is the month we lost [Trigg] from a preventable drowning accident,” she said on May 10. “This month has snuck up on us in a way we could have never anticipated. It’s just incredibly hard to process that it’s been almost a year. I’m really struggling. I’m trying to show up still for my family, for my son, [but] I just want to be in bed all day.”
In the caption of her post, which was uploaded one day before Mother’s Day, Emilie thanked her followers for always being understanding and supportive.
That sentiment was shared once again on Monday when she returned to social media.
“I truly have the best community and I couldn’t do this job without you guys,” she wrote. “So, thank you so much.”
Emilie developed a following on social media after posting videos of her day-to-day life. While sharing personal family stories or documenting lifestyle tips, the influencer has received more than 2 million followers on Instagram and another 5 million on TikTok.

Frederik Andersen Writes Emotional Message to Claude Lemieux
Carolina Hurricanes goalie Frederik Andersen shared an emotional message about his late agent and friend, Claude Lemieux, who died by suicide on Thursday, May 28.
“Claude made an unimaginable impact on me during the more than 15 years that he was a part of my life,” Andersen, 36, wrote in a statement shared by the Hurricanes on Sunday, May 31. “I almost feel sorry for people who didn’t have an opportunity to get to know him beyond his achievements and impact on the ice. As phenomenal as his hockey career was, he was an even better human being.”
Following his 21-year NHL career, which came to an end in 2009, Lemieux transitioned into a successful role as a sports agent, representing some of the top names in hockey, including Andersen.
“From day one, he made me feel like I was part of his family — treating me with care, compassion, loyalty and love as if I was his own son,” Andersen said. “He had a similar effect on members of my own family, leaving a lasting impression on every life that he touched.”
Lemieux died by suicide, the Palm Beach Medical Examiner confirmed to Us Weekly. He was 60.
“I cannot imagine the pain Claude was in, and I pray that he is in a better place now,” Andersen continued. “My thoughts are with Deborah, Brendan, Claudia and the entire Lemieux family as we grieve together. Claude’s spirit will forever remain in my heart, always.”
Andersen and the Hurricanes will hit the ice for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday, June 2.
Claude is survived by his wife, Deborah, sons Brendan, Christopher and Michael, and daughter, Claudia.
In a statement released by the Lemieux family on Saturday, May 30, it was revealed that Claude’s brain will be donated to the UNITE Brain Bank at the Boston University CTE Center for research into “the long-term effects of repetitive head impacts and traumatic brain injury.”
“The family emphasizes that this decision is a gift to science, to athletes, and to future generations of families seeking answers,” the family said. “No conclusions should be drawn at this time regarding any diagnosis.”
The statement continued, “Claude dedicated his post-play career to helping the next generation. By allowing his name to be connected to this research, we hope his life can contribute to greater understanding, more honest conversations, and better protection for athletes and families in the years ahead. The Lemieux family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love from fans, former teammates, opponents, organizations and friends across the hockey community.”

Unfairly Forgotten, R-Rated 2000s Thriller Chases Ghosts And Breaks Your Mind
By Robert Scucci
| Published

If you’ve watched your fair share of psychological thrillers from the late ’90s and early aughts, you’re fully aware of how mixed-bag some of these films are. For every Arlington Road (1999), there’s a Domestic Disturbance (2001). For every banger like The Jacket (2005), there’s an equally abysmal film like The Glass House (2001). It’s just the nature of the game. Sitting somewhere in the middle is 2001’s The Attic Expeditions, which suffers from its soap opera production values but should be celebrated for its surprisingly cerebral delivery.
It’s billed as a horror film, but it’s a bona fide psychological thriller if I’ve ever seen one. Its setting is sparse, and its characters are either paranoid or give you a reason to be. You’ll never be quite sure what’s real, and you’ll want to avoid the Wikipedia page for this one ahead of watching. The article breaks down the entire movie in chronological order, and this is very much a non-linear experience that you should go into without knowing the full scope of its conflict.

That said, the acting and pacing are pretty rough at points, but there are some genuinely great visual treats toward the third act that are impressive when you consider that the film’s estimated production budget was only about $1 million.
This House Looks Strangely Familiar
The Attic Expeditions tells an increasingly disorienting story about its protagonist, Trevor Blackburn (Andras Jones), who wakes up after a four-year coma under the care of the elusive Dr. Ek (Jeffrey Combs). He’s told that he got into black magic after discovering a strange book in his attic that only he could read, and when the dark forces fully took hold, he murdered his girlfriend, Faith (Beth Bates), resulting in his incarceration. Dr. Ek tells him that instead of going to prison, he was assigned to his care at a mental health facility. What Dr. Ek doesn’t tell him is that he’s looking for the book because he wants to use it for his own nefarious purposes.

Suffering from amnesia and having pretty much no memory of how he got there, Trevor has little choice but to take Dr. Ek at his word. He fully trusts him when he’s sent to “The House of Love” to continue his rehabilitation. The House of Love is a boarding house full of all sorts of eccentrics, like Douglas (Seth Green), who encourages Trevor to snoop around when nobody’s looking so they can uncover whatever dark secrets the orderlies are hiding from their subjects.
Trevor, with nothing better to do and barely any recollection of his life before the coma, does just that. But every time he does, somebody dies a brutal death, implicating him in even more violent crimes. Maintaining his innocence the entire time, he’s subjected to mind games from the other residents, all of whom seem slightly off, which only complicates matters. These people are supposed to be “off,” so at face value Trevor isn’t really seeing anything out of the ordinary.

When we catch glimpses of the more level-headed Dr. Coffee (Ted Raimi), though, we learn just how messed up the situation is. It certainly seems like Dr. Ek is conducting an experiment on Trevor with parameters that even his closest colleagues aren’t fully informed about.
As the body count rises in lockstep with Trevor’s paranoia, we bear witness to the insanity unfolding at The House of Love. It’s a manipulation game of the highest order, and as Trevor experiences flashbacks that clue him into what happened before Faith’s demise, the waters only get muddier before we finally receive clarity in the form of a third-act reveal that comes completely out of left field.
Soap Opera Production Values, But Surprisingly Solid For This Era

Nearly every psychological thriller I’ve reviewed from this era for this site is terrible. There are exceptions, of course, but even Domestic Disturbance, which had a $75 million budget, plays like a Lifetime special rather than a legit feature-length film that actually saw a theatrical release. I’d argue that The Attic Expeditions has similar production values for one seventy-fifth of the cost, and its storytelling is inherently more compelling.
The Attic Expeditions never lets you know who you can trust, if you can trust anybody at all. Films like Domestic Disturbance and The Glass House lay all their cards on the table in the first act, and you’re just supposed to sit there, bored, waiting for them to end. Despite its budgetary limitations, The Attic Expeditions has enough twists and turns to keep even the most cynical thriller fans wondering how it’s going to pay off.

And even if you’re able to suss it out early on, its dream-like aesthetic still urges you forward because it actively tries to subvert the very tropes it’s simultaneously celebrating.

Zack Snyder Set To Direct New ‘Escape From New York’ Reimagining : Coastal House Media
Tom Holland is opening up about the surprising new direction behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it sounds like Marvel and Sony are taking Peter Parker into completely uncharted territory.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Cover [credit: Empire Magazine]
Speaking with Empire, Holland revealed that he actually pitched part of the movie’s story himself, describing it as a “Spider-puberty” concept centered around Peter Parker evolving into adulthood while dealing with dramatic new changes to his powers. According to Holland, “They liked the idea,” and the film appears ready to push Spider-Man further than fans have seen before.
The comments line up with everything Marvel has teased so far about the upcoming movie. Following the emotional ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker is now completely alone in New York after Doctor Strange’s spell erased him from everyone’s memory. Marvel has repeatedly described Brand New Day as a “fresh start” for the character, with Holland himself calling it “the first movie in the next chapter.”
What makes the new film especially interesting is the reported evolution of Peter’s abilities. Early details surrounding the movie suggest his powers may begin mutating in unexpected ways, including the possibility of organic webbing similar to Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man films.
Holland also recently explained that the story is heavily focused on identity and growing up, saying the film explores “when young people really find their identity and become adults.”

That more grounded coming-of-age direction appears to be exactly what Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige wants for the franchise moving forward. Feige has teased that the movie will deliver a more “classic” Spider-Man story after years of multiverse chaos.
The film is also set to bring in some major new faces. Jon Bernthal is expected to appear as The Punisher, creating what Holland described as a “big brother-little brother rivalry” dynamic between Frank Castle and Peter Parker.
Meanwhile, fans are already buzzing over the film’s darker tone, practical effects, and newly revealed suit design that leans closer to the classic comic book look.
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day positioned as a full reset for Holland’s version of Peter Parker, Marvel may finally be giving fans the street-level Spider-Man story they’ve wanted for years.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31, 2026.
