Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce may have looked spectacular from the outside, but one celebrity guest has hinted that not every detail was necessarily his personal taste. 

Graham Norton, who attended the couple’s July 3 nuptials at Madison Square Garden in New York City, described the celebration as “lovely” while admitting there were moments that prompted a very different reaction.

Graham Norton discussed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding during an appearance on “The Chris Evans Breakfast Show” on Virgin Radio UK, where he made clear that the ceremony ultimately felt surprisingly familiar despite the couple’s extraordinary fame.

The 63-year-old explained that weddings tend to contain details guests admire as well as choices they personally might have skipped. 

“You saw things, you know, ‘Oh, that’s a lovely touch,’ and then you saw things, like, ‘Oh, I wouldn’t have done that,’” he said per the Daily Mail.

Despite that observation, Norton was clear that he enjoyed the celebration. “It was a lovely, lovely wedding,” the comedian added, describing it as “like any wedding” regardless of whether the people getting married were famous.

For Norton, the most memorable part of Taylor Swift’s wedding may have been the extraordinary journey to the ceremony itself. 

Earlier in the radio interview, he recalled the anticipation of traveling through New York as the city prepared for the massive event. 

“Being in the car, the big black car, and New York is all shut down, and you’re heading toward Madison Square Garden, that was the kind of big, exciting [thing],” Norton recalled. 

He described the anticipation as, “Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What’s it gonna be like?” Yet the extraordinary atmosphere disappeared almost immediately once he arrived. 

Norton compared the experience to the way people once wondered what gay weddings would be like, only to discover that they were still weddings. 

“And then you went through these big curtains and the cars there, and you get out of the car. The minute you got out of the car, you were at a wedding,” he said.

The wedding details that have emerged from guests have continued to paint a more intimate picture of Swift and Kelce’s celebration, adding to the excitement surrounding the newlyweds. 

As The Blast reported earlier this month, Maren Morris, also shared some of what she witnessed, describing the couple’s vows as “beautiful” and saying it was an “honor” to see them exchanged in person. 

The singer said the vows offered guests a closer look at the couple’s relationship because they balanced sincerity with humor. 

She also revealed that each set of vows lasted roughly 20 minutes, while other reports said Kelce was particularly emotional during the exchange. 

Morris was struck not only by the ceremony but also by the extraordinary guest list, saying she kept turning her head after spotting people she never expected to see in person.

Those glimpses from wedding guests have now been followed by something fans had been waiting to hear directly from the groom. 

During an August 12 Kansas City Chiefs training-camp press conference, Travis Kelce publicly referred to Taylor Swift as his “wife” for the first time since their wedding. 

The NFL star also spoke about getting married at Madison Square Garden, a venue with personal significance because of his longtime love of the New York Knicks. 

He described the wedding itself as “perfect,” despite temperatures reaching around 100 degrees that day, and explained that the setting made the occasion especially meaningful to him. 

The couple’s Manhattan wedding reportedly brought nearly 1,000 guests together, with celebrities including Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon among those in attendance.

Kelce went beyond simply acknowledging his new title as Swift’s husband when he finally discussed the wedding publicly. 

Speaking to the reporters at the conference, the Kansas City Chiefs Tight end described the July 3 celebration as the “best night” of his life, while thanking everyone who attended and celebrated alongside the couple. 

Kelce also spoke about the significance of Madison Square Garden, explaining that marrying there fulfilled a longtime dream connected to his love of the Knicks. 

Although he remained relatively guarded about the intimate details of the celebration, his enthusiasm was unmistakable.

Rep. Max Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, is suing him for allegedly sharing a nude photograph of their 2-year-old daughter.

Moreno, 32, filed a civil rights action on behalf of her daughter in an Ohio court to accuse the Republican congressman, 37, and his attorney Aaron Minc of recklessly distributing the photo as part of a tranche of documents designed to combat ongoing scandals, per a lawsuit obtained by Us. (TMZ first reported the news.)

Miller announced via a livestream on August 2 that he would release a trove of documents to clear his name amid abuse and misconduct allegations — and one of those files was an allegedly nude photograph of his 2-year-old daughter.

The image was from a February 2025 text exchange between Miller and Moreno while coordinating custody arrangements. Miller asked to see a photo when Moreno mentioned their daughter had a bruise — which was later determined to be from a broken collarbone. (Police investigated the incident in 2025 but no charges were filed.)

In their lawsuit, Moreno accused Miller of having an “indifferent” reaction to the release of the photo since it remained publicly accessible with more than 400,000 combined views or interactions for 23 hours before being taken down.

She argues that Miller is liable to pay $150,000 for every disclosure or transfer of the image under federal law. Her lawyers also alleged that Miller could be liable for criminal penalties in Ohio for illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

Us has reached out to Miller’s officer for comment.

Miller’s lawyer Minc previously took responsibility for accidentally releasing the photo, explaining that he missed it while combing through the documents sent by the congressman.

“Unfortunately, I missed the last three pages of a 40+ page document with sensitive content,” Minc told CNN in a statement on August 4. “It was completely unintentional and a mistake. The moment I discovered the issue on Monday morning, I corrected the file immediately.”

The attorney stressed that he checked the documents multiple times to remove sensitive information, including Miller and Moreno’s daughter’s name.

“I am truly sorry to Congressman Miller, Ms. Moreno, both of their families, and, especially, to their daughter. I deeply regret the mistake,” Minc insisted.

Miller was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper on The Lead on August 4 whether the leaked photo was proof of “shockingly reckless behavior” by the politician and his team.

“I wouldn’t say that it was shockingly reckless,” Miller replied. “That photo that was put in there is actually part of an investigation by the Child and Family Protective Services and that is already public knowledge … This is being taken very much out of context. There was no genitalia of my daughter that was exposed and this is once again a very salacious headline.”

The photo’s release came amid a wave of negative publicity for the Ohio representative ahead of his reelection bid in November’s midterm election.

Following their 2024 divorce, Moreno publicly accused her ex Miller of domestic violence during their marriage. Multiple outlets reported numerous disturbing allegations in July, including Moreno accusing Miller of throwing hot water on her body and once holding a gun to her head. (Miller has denied any wrongdoing and previously sued his ex-wife for defamation.)

Emily’s father, Sen. Bernie Moreno, a fellow Republican politician, publicly denounced Miller following the release of the naked photo.

“As a father and husband, I can tell you the last two years have been pure hell for my wife Bridget, our daughter Emily, me, and our entire family in the aftermath of Emily’s divorce,” Bernie, 59, said in a statement shared via X on August 2. “It has been horrific to watch this play out in full public view, all while knowing an innocent 2-year-old girl is caught in the middle.”

He went on to call for Miller to resign, saying, “As he has admitted privately, Max Miller needs serious psychological help. He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter. If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them. He should not serve in the House of Representatives.”

Earlier this week, reports emerged that President Donald Trump’s White House team personally intervened to ask Ohio Republicans to stop pressuring Miller to end his reelection campaign for the state’s 7th Congressional District seat. An unnamed official told Politico that the White House encouraged Ohio Republicans to “back off and let the voters decide.”

The NFL has enlisted the Jonas Brothers to headline a Halftime Show during the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams’ historic game in Melbourne, Australia.

“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas said in a joint statement on Wednesday, August 12. “Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor.”

The Camp Rock 3 trio added, “We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”

The 2026 NFL Melbourne Game is set to air live on Netflix on September 10. The “Sucker” group will take to the stage at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground as part of a collaboration between the NFL, the Victorian State Government and Visit Victoria.

“Bringing the first-ever NFL regular season game to Australia is a landmark moment for the league, and we are committed to creating an entertainment experience that reflects the scale and significance of the occasion,” Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL, said on Wednesday. “The Jonas Brothers are global entertainers whose music connects across generations, making them the ideal artists to help us celebrate this historic game in Melbourne. The Jonas Brothers are no strangers to NFL halftime gigs, having previously played during the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day in November 2022. They also appeared during the opening day of the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City.

The first half of 2026 has been blessed with unmissable television. Netflix’s Regency-era favorite Bridgerton returned with a Cinderella romance for the ages; Apple TV’s adaptation of Cape Fear had millions on the edge of their seats; Ava (Hannah Einbinder) and Deborah’s (Jean Smart) returned for a stunning final season of Hacks; HBO found Game of Thrones redemption with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and much, much more.

Thought of by many as the steamiest show on streaming, Hulu subscribers in the U.S. and Disney+ users around the world were left clutching their pearls as David Tennant‘s dastardly Lord Tony Baddingham returned from his violent fate at the end of the first season, fueled with seemingly more evil than before. However, viewers would have to settle for the frustrating reality that Season 2 was to be split into two halves.

The first of these halves, comprised of six episodes, was met with near-perfect acclaim from critics, with Collider’s Therese Lacson writing in her review that “Rivals Season 2 surpasses Season 1 on nearly every front​​​​.” The second season’s first half ended on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, as a beloved character lost their life and Baddingham’s reign of terror continued, although for how long? Well, it’s not long until we find out, with just three months until Rivals returns. You will be able to stream Rivals Season 2, Part 2 on Hulu in the U.S. this November.

Will There Be More ‘Rivals’?

Rivals is based on the Rutshire Chronicles series, penned by the late great author Jilly Cooper, who sadly lost her life in October last year. With so many books to pull from, Rivals is expected to have a long and successful run on streaming, with that reality one step closer after the show was renewed for a third installment in June. “As the dust settles post the scandalous revelations in Season 2, we see the stakes become higher and the alliances more fragile, with nothing staying buried for long,” the logline for the third season reads. “New romances blossom, old flames rekindle and shocking secrets will be spilled in this third series which takes everyone’s favorite rivalries to the next level. In a world of power, passion and betrayal, everyone has something to lose.”

Sometimes they use a mythological beast to play on our phobias, and other times it’s just the force of nature itself – it’s clear that underwater movies about the ocean aren’t going anywhere. There’s no shortage of especially thrilling and scary ocean movies that dive into unexplored depths of this sub-genre. If you don’t already have thalassophobia, or an intense fear of the ocean, these best deep sea movies may change your mind.

‘Jaws 2’ (1978)

Jaws 2 is a horror sequel that had the tough responsibility of following up one of the greatest films ever made. While making a film as entertaining and influential as Jaws was going to be impossible, especially since Steven Spielberg turned down the opportunity to direct so that he could make Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws 2 is enjoyable as a trashy, campy shark thriller.

Jaws 2 is the only sequel in the franchise that is worth watching because the subsequent two installments were so goofy and ridiculous that they didn’t provide any scares. The biggest benefit to Jaws 2 is that it featured the return of Roy Scheider as Chief Brody, and he didn’t disappoint; even if he wasn’t accompanied by Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw, Scheider delivered another memorable performance as one of the greatest heroes in all of cinematic history. —Liam Gaughan

‘The Caine Mutiny’ (1954)

The Caine Mutiny is one of many adaptations of a classic play about a naval leader who begins to develop sociopathic tendencies, causing his crew to turn against him in the midst of conflict. It’s a story that has been passed along because it recognizes the terror of being trapped in the middle of the Ocean without a steady guiding hand, and the 1954 version remains the greatest adaptation due to the remarkable performance by Humphrey Bogart, who received his final Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

Bogart is one of the greatest actors in the history of Hollywood, but it was impressive that he was able to subvert his typical charm by playing an unhinged, dangerous character who threatens to leave the man under his command out to die in the middle of the dangerous, unknowable ocean to fend for themselves. —Liam Gaughan

‘Under Siege’ (1992)

Under Siege is one of the best examples of a ‘90s Die Hard ripoff because it took the premise of “Die Hard in the Ocean” and made the most entertaining thriller possible. Being isolated in the middle of the ocean on a ship manned by a psychopathic villain is a scary prospect for anyone who gets anxiety about the water, and Under Siege stands out amongst ‘90s thrillers because of the memorable performance by Tommy Lee Jones as the main villain.

The confined location of Under Siege succeeds in making it more intense, showing once again that Andrew Davis is one of the more underrated action filmmakers of his time. Although there have been rumors about an Under Siege reboot for quite some time, it’s hard to imagine that a new film could strike the right blend between well-orchestrated action sequences and over-the-top villainy quite like the original Under Siege. —Liam Gaughan

‘The Hunt for Red October’ (1990)

The Hunt for Red October is the first film ever based on a Tom Clancy novel, as it adapted the Jack Ryan series within an intense underwater submarine story in the middle of the Cold War. Although Alec Baldwin made his debut as Ryan, the story of The Hunt For Red October is about a naval commander from the Soviet Union, played by Sean Connery, who decides to defect to the United States as he is pursued by both sides of the Cold War conflict.

The Hunt for Red October is the best submarine thriller ever made, and understands the intensity of underwater conflict better than any of the films that followed. It’s not only bound to terrify anyone who has a natural fear of the water, but an incredibly frightening adventure for anyone with claustrophobia because of its confined setting. —Liam Gaughan

‘The Creature from the Black Lagoon; (1954)

The Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of the best of the classic Universal monster films, and has become a major inspiration for directors like James Wan and Guillermo del Toro. While many of the early films in the cinematic universe were based on classic novels like Frankenstein and Dracula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon tells an original story about a fish-like monster who lurks beneath the water.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon was ahead of its time because of the complexity of its underwater cinematography, which was unprecedented during an era where special effects weren’t as developed. It’s a surprisingly sensitive film with a true heart to it, and succeeds in developing better human characters than many other monster classics of the era; although there have been rumors of a remake, the original is such a well-regarded masterpiece that there has understandably been some hesitation about a new version. —Liam Gaughan

’47 Meters Down’ (2017)

A vacation turned nightmarish is a surefire way to instill a fear of the deep blue sea. Starring Claire Holt and Mandy Moore, 47 Meters Down follows sisters Lisa (Moore) and Kate (Holt) as they decide on an adventurous whim to take a cage diving excursion offered by a group of locals they meet. When the sharks come too close for comfort, the pair begin ascending back to the surface, but the boat’s towing cable snaps, sending the cage to the bottom of the ocean. The pair fight for survival with limited oxygen and the deadly predators circling.

It’s a formulaic shark thriller with an oceanic excursion gone wrong and two inexperienced protagonists against the sea’s most terrifying creatures. 47 Meters Down throws in a few twists and turns, but still doesn’t quite reach its full potential; however, it remains a solid installment in the genre that spawned a sequel, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, that landed better with audiences. —Ali Teske

‘Sanctum’ (2011)

Nothing screams claustrophobia like the crushing black depths of unforgiving waters. The cinematography of the diving thriller Sanctum does just that. While mapping out and exploring one of the world’s most inaccessible cave systems, a team of scientists with varying levels of diving expertise must find their way back to the surface after a tropical storm floods the cave system, washing away their surface camp and any hope of help from the air. Audiences will recognize cinematic icon and deep-diving enthusiast James Cameron as executive producer.

While the film isn’t explicitly set in the open waters of the ocean, it’s a harrowing below-surface survival thriller that uses water as its monstrous villain. Where Sanctum succeeds is in its ability to provoke the audience to ask, “What would you do?” Its downfall lies with its character development; however, for those looking for a reason not to go into the water, Sanctum is a perfect excuse. —Ali Teske

‘The Poseidon Adventure’ (1972)

It’s a new year of new oceanic fears for the characters aboard a luxury cruise. The Poseidon Adventure is a disaster thriller about the surviving passengers of an ocean liner that was capsized by a rogue wave on its voyage to Greece from New York City on New Year’s Eve. The survivors must band together to navigate the maze of ladders and clear corridors as the ship floods, burns, and grows more and more unstable. Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, and Shelley Winters are among the top-billed cast in the nine-time Oscar-nominated feature.

The Poseidon Adventure was the original film, long before Titanic, that made audiences question whether a cruise was a good idea. It’s also a psychological feature that uses the rising waterline as a mirror for the rising tensions of the remaining passengers. A 2006 remake, Poseidon, keeps audiences on edge with certain claustrophobic scenes but fails to live up to the harrowing standard set by the original. —Ali Teske

‘The Perfect Storm’ (2000)

Based on the true story of the Andrea Gail’s crew tragically lost at sea, The Perfect Storm is a dramatic storm thriller with a star-studded cast. When three historic storms converge in the Northeast Atlantic, a Massachusetts commercial fishing boat battles the raging wind, rain, and waves on Halloween of 1991. Mark Wahlberg, George Clooney, John C. Reilly, and Diane Lane are among the cast of this Oscar-nominated feature. The Perfect Storm is a nonfiction novel written by Sebastian Junger recounting the infamous conditions the six-person crew encountered, along with stories from their surviving loved ones.

‘Black Sea’ (2014)

Black Sea is a unique thriller in the genre with a diversified category of fear not typically depicted in modern oceanic features. In search of a sunken Nazi boat filled with gold, a former Naval officer (Jude Law) assembles and leads a crew of Russian and British soldiers to the depths of the Black Sea to recover the legendary U-Boat. This under-the-sonar thriller was a hit with critics but undersold to audiences.

Cold, dark, and crushing, the bottom of the ocean is the boogeyman of the genre for both the characters and the audience. It’s unexpected and terrifying versus the standard shark antagonist, where there are clear boundaries and realistic expectations of inflicted fear. Black Sea, while a submarine heist movie of sorts, is a psychological thriller that uses the inescapable depths of the ocean to press on the emotional and physical distress of those involved. It’s enough for any viewer to approach the sea with trepidation. —Ali Teske

Jessica Lange became one of the defining stars of Ryan Murphy‘s “American Horror Story,” appearing in several of the anthology’s early seasons. The actress eventually stepped away from the show and moved on to other projects, later saying that her time with the series was over.

Now that her return has been confirmed, Murphy is revealing the one condition that helped make her comeback possible.

In April, first-look photos of “American Horror Story” Season 13 confirmed that Jessica Lange was returning to the anthology series, per The Blast. The actress appeared in Seasons 1 to 4 and made a guest appearance in Season 8, but has since been absent from the show, much to the detriment of fans.

Showrunner Ryan Murphy is cooking up something special for the show’s upcoming 13th installment, and Lange was the first person he approached for what he described as a “greatest hits season.”

While having dinner together, Lange appeared nostalgic and told Murphy that many people praise her for her work on “AHS” and gloss over her other projects. The actress repeatedly said over the years that she was done with the series, but Murphy pitched Season 13 to her anyway.

The showrunner told Vogue that Lange agreed on one condition: “I’m in as long as I have a musical number.”

Jessica Lange’s Has Performed Songs In Past ‘AHS’ Seasons

Lange, an award-winning actress with five decades of acting, admitted in past interviews that she has never had vocal training and does not consider herself a singer. However, she seized the opportunity to try something new and agreed to sing in “American Horror Story.”

The actress’ first musical number was in Season 2, “Asylum,” in which she portrayed Sister Jude Martin, the head nun at Briarcliff Manor. While having hallucinations after undergoing electroshock therapy, Sister Jude sings and dances the 1964 hit by Shirley Ellis, “The Name Game.”

In “AHS” Season 4, “Freak Show,” Lange played Elsa Mars, the ringleader of a traveling sideshow. She performed four songs: “Life on Mars” and “Heroes” by David Bowie, “Gods and Monsters” by Lana Del Rey, and “September Song” by Kurt Weill.

Discussing her musical numbers in 2014, Lange told E! News she had the “best time.” “This has been kind of like an extraordinary experience to actually do it, and then do it like a big musical number, like some kind of rock star. Yeah, it’s been kind of crazy.”

Ryan Murphy Says ‘AHS’ Season 13 Is Not A Reboot

The plot of “American Horror Story” Season 13 is kept tightly under wraps, but what Murphy can confirm is it’s not going to be a reboot, as many fans online have theorized.

Photos from filming circulating online led fans to assume that the upcoming installment will be a reboot of the third season, “Coven.”

“I didn’t want to just do a ‘Coven’ reboot. Everybody thinks that’s what it is; it’s not,” Murphy shared, adding that while old characters will appear in Season 13, they have a new storyline “anchored by a new person.”

“What I was interested in was bringing back the baddies and the classic characters. That was my goal,” he explained.

The Showrunner Returned To The Director’s Chair

Apart from co-creating the series and serving as showrunner, Murphy directed a few episodes in the earlier seasons, the last of which was in Season 4.

Murphy previously said he prefers directing the first episode of the season to “set the look and tone.” He returned to the director’s chair for Season 13 and helmed episodes 1 and 3.

“I was thrilled to be able to direct Jessica like I had directed her in Season 1,” Murphy said, adding that he would often act out the parts, which Lange found hilarious. “She’s the only actor I always work that way with,” he said.

Murphy is keeping mum about the plot of Season 13, saying it’s “top secret.” He did, however, offer a clue about the “ultimate evil” in the upcoming installment.

“In many seasons, the [characters] have battled the Antichrist. The only hint I’ll say is, ‘Let’s go above his pay grade for this.’ That’s my clue,” Murphy teased.

Apart from Lange, other returning cast members include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, and Billie Lourd. Joining them are newcomers John Waters, Joey Pollari, Paul Anthony Kelly, Madelaine Petsch, Alex Consani, and Avantika Vandanapu.

“American Horror Story” Season 13 will premiere on September 24.

The fallout from “Roseanne” has resurfaced years after the sitcom’s revival collapsed, but this time the fight is happening between people who once played family on screen. 

Michael Fishman, who portrayed D.J. Conner, recently defended ABC’s decision to cancel the reboot over Roseanne Barr’s 2018 tweet. 

Now, Barr’s son Jake Pentland is pushing back, arguing that his mother paid the heaviest price while members of the cast continued working on a show built from the same franchise.

Pentland agrees that Roseanne Barr’s 2018 social media post caused real harm, but he strongly disputes Fishman’s assessment of who ultimately suffered from the controversy. 

According to TMZ, Pentland believes the cast took Barr’s post out of context and “conspired” to take the revival away from her without first asking what she meant.

The controversy erupted in May 2018 after Barr posted a since-deleted tweet comparing former President Barack Obama’s adviser Valerie Jarrett to the Muslim Brotherhood and “Planet of the Apes.” 

ABC canceled the highly rated revival only hours later, despite Barr apologizing and deleting the post. The actress later attempted to explain what had been behind the message.

In a 2018 interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Roseanne Barr shared that the tweets were “about asking for accountability from the previous administration about the Iran deal, which Valerie Jarrett is the author of, and that was what was in my head.” 

She also said her reaction to the backlash “was shock that they were saying it was racial, when it was political.” 

Pentland’s argument, however, centers on what happened afterward. 

He claims the cast failed to ask Barr “what she meant” and “prevented her from publicly defending herself.” 

His frustration is particularly directed at those who remained part of the franchise after Barr was removed.

Roseanne Barr’s Son Fires Back At Michael Fishman’s Defense

Pentland’s response took aim at the idea that the cast’s continued involvement was separate from his mother’s removal. 

He told TMZ, “I wish him good luck in finding work one day. Hopefully selling the woman responsible for his career out was worth it for him.”

Fishman had addressed the controversy in an Instagram reel on Monday, explaining why he believed the cancellation was justified.

The former child actor, who played D.J. Conner in both the original series and its revival, said that “After eight years” of dealing with “ignorant and inaccurate” defensive comments about Barr’s controversy, he no longer felt that staying silent was useful.

“So, I guess the world failed to learn the lesson,” Fishman said, adding, “So I’m going to point out. We are perpetuating a lie, and people are using a political smokescreen to justify the indefensible.”

He argued that the consequences extended beyond the original tweet, saying, “Those justifications, they’re leading to real consequences. Real crimes.” Fishman ultimately stated, “Dehumanizing people is never a joke. In this case, there was no joke. And the show was rightfully canceled.”

The dispute also showcased the complicated aftermath of the 2018 cancellation. After ABC ended the revival, the network launched “The Conners” with much of the same cast but without Roseanne Barr. 

She relinquished her financial and creative rights so the spinoff could move forward, while Fishman remained part of the series until 2022.

Barr, meanwhile, publicly acknowledged the harm caused by her post. In a 2018 podcast with Rabbi Shmuley, she apologized for the hurt, noting per ABC News, “When you hurt people even unwillingly, there’s no excuse.”

Barr added, “I don’t want to run off and blather on with excuses. But I apologize to anyone who thought, or felt offended and who thought that I meant something that I, in fact, did not mean. It was my own ignorance, and there’s no excuse for that ignorance.”

A few years later, Barr made the headlines when she did a 360 on her 2018 explanation and apology. 

Speaking to Variety in June 2025, the comedian said she believed the decision was prompted by her faith, describing the moment as something she felt God had directed her to do. 

“The way I feel about it is that God told me to do what I did, and it was a nuclear bomb,” she said, describing the backlash that followed.

Barr also recalled experiencing nightmares about losing her place on “Roseanne” before saying, “I was already having nightmares about never going back to that show [‘Roseanne’], and God woke me up.” 

She said she believed the experience ultimately served a larger purpose, even though it destroyed the comeback she had built around the sitcom.

Hamm’s openness to parenthood has seemingly shifted since Osceola, 38, entered his life.

“Anna has always known that she wanted to have a family, but she was incredibly understanding of where Jon was when they first started dating,” the source tells Us.

The insider explains that becoming a parent was “never something” Osceola “pressured” Hamm about when they were first romantically linked in 2017 after meeting during the final season of Mad Men in 2015. Osceola played Clementine, a receptionist who worked at the spiritual retreat that his character, Don Draper, visited. (Us confirmed in June 2020 that Hamm and Osceola were officially dating.)

“They were very open with each other from the beginning about what they both wanted and how they were feeling,” the source shares, calling the topic “an ongoing conversation.”

As their relationship evolved and their bond strengthened, the insider says that Hamm and Osceola “got to a place together where they both felt ready to take that next step.”

News broke on Monday, August 10, that Hamm and Osceola are expecting their first baby together after the actress was photographed wearing a bikini that showed off her growing baby bump.

“To be honest, it was probably between the both of us too,” Noel noted about the tough choice casting directors had to make. “I never watched it but I heard good things about it. And when season 4 came around, I received a call from Yana Grebenyuk Nick Santora asking me to read for this role. And I was like, ‘Do I really want to go through this again?’”

After reading the script, Noel changed her mind, adding, “I found out it was kind of made for me so it was cool.”

Season 4 pulls inspiration from the 2009 novel Gone Tomorrow, which follows Reacher as he witnesses a suicide on the subway in New York. According to the official synopsis, Reacher ” soon discovers the woman who killed herself was Pentagon staffer Susan Mark, who was caught up in a larger deadly conspiracy involving a corrupt politician, Al Qaeda terrorists and countless murders.”

“When I read for my role, I was like, ‘This is me,’” Noel told Us about playing Tamara Green, who is a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department. “And Nick goes, ‘Yeah, why do you think you were running so much? You forgot you told me you ran track?’ And I was like, ‘I actually prefer this role.’ I’m happy that I got Tamara.”

In addition to Noel and Ritchson, 43, season 4 stars Christopher Marquette, Agnez Mo, Anggun and Kevin Corrigan. Noel was thrilled by the chance to push herself on screen as her character joined Reacher out in the field.

“I have this motto, ‘Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.’ I live and die by that. I pretty much just adjusted a little bit because once I got all the scripts, I was like, ‘Oh, this is going to be intense,’” she continued about the physical activity that went into her character. “I’m one of those people I work out every day. And what I did is I just pretty much adjusted my workout.”

Noel continued: “I pretty much had almost two months — or maybe a month and a half — to condition myself before I got to Toronto. So what I did is I just started lifting a little bit heavier and I adjusted my meal plan. I went back to CrossFit because I was lifting heavier and then I incorporated running into my workouts but that’s it. I just slightly changed it a little bit.”

Noel was also motivated by sharing the screen with Ritchson.

“It was a good challenge because like him, I need to get it perfect. And Alan doesn’t care how many takes a scene requires. If it doesn’t look right, we’ll do it again,” she explained. “I’m very much the same way. So when I would watch Alan and see how big he is and doing his own stunt and fighting and seeing how perfect it looks, I was just like, ‘I have to match him. I have to do the same.’”
