How Kim Kardashian Ex Built A New Empire After Divorce
When Kris Humphries walked away from the media frenzy surrounding his short-lived marriage to Kim Kardashian, he also walked away from the celebrity lifestyle that came with it.
Instead of chasing endorsements, reality television, or another moment in the spotlight, the former NBA star quietly returned to Minnesota with a different ambition.
More than a decade later, Humphries has reinvented himself as a businessman, proving his biggest post-divorce success story has unfolded far from Hollywood cameras.
Unlike many celebrities whose careers are built around staying visible, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband intentionally disappeared.
After retiring from the NBA, he settled back in his home state of Minnesota, choosing family life and business over the entertainment industry that once followed his every move.
That fresh start eventually led him into the restaurant business. In 2022, Humphries and his family became franchise partners with Dave’s Hot Chicken, bringing the rapidly growing brand to Minnesota.
Announcing the venture on Instagram, the former NBA star shared his excitement with followers, writing per the Daily Mail, “Super excited to bring @daveshotchicken to Minnesota with my family. This is the best chicken ever! Get ready Minnesota.”
The first location was only the beginning. According to Downtown Voices, the Humphries family has secured plans to develop 18 Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurants across Minnesota, turning what started as a single investment into a long-term business strategy.
His cousin, Alex, revealed that Minneapolis’ North Loop perfectly matched the brand’s identity. “The mix of historic preservation and modern innovation in the North Loop creates a unique atmosphere that we believe is ideal for Dave’s Hot Chicken,” he explained.
With its colorful artwork, modern design, and popular menu, the restaurants are a far cry from the reality TV headlines that once defined Humphries’ public image.
Although Humphries has largely disappeared from the celebrity spotlight, he hasn’t disappeared from social media.
Instead of documenting glamorous events or personal milestones, his Instagram now showcases his growing restaurant business.
He frequently shares videos of food creators visiting Dave’s Hot Chicken locations, samples menu favorites himself, and gives followers a behind-the-scenes look at the expanding franchise.
In a 2023 post, Humphries sat down at a table loaded with chicken and sides before declaring, “It’s Go Time Baby!”
Inside Kardashian And Humphries’ Whirlwind Romance

Long before Humphries quietly reinvented himself as a successful businessman, he was at the center of one of Hollywood’s most talked-about celebrity romances.
Kim Kardashian and the 41-year-old began dating in late 2010 after being introduced through mutual friends, and their relationship quickly moved at a whirlwind pace.
Humphries proposed in May 2011 with a 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring, and the couple married three months later in a lavish Montecito, California, ceremony that was televised in the E! special “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding.”
However, the fairy-tale ending never materialized. Just 72 days after saying “I do,” Kardashian filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and later admitted she realized during their honeymoon that the marriage wasn’t right.
Humphries initially sought an annulment on grounds of fraud, but after a lengthy legal battle, the pair reached a settlement in 2013.
Humphries Addressed Longstanding Claims About His Marriage To Kim Kardashian

Years after their whirlwind romance ended, Humphries finally opened up about the relationship that had forever changed his public image, insisting it was never about fame or publicity.
In a 2019 candid essay for The Players’ Tribune, the former NBA star admitted he “never wanted to be famous” and struggled with the intense attention that followed his marriage to the socialite.
“I was definitely naive about how much my life was going to change,” Humphries wrote, adding that the biggest misconception was the belief that their romance had been staged.
“There’s definitely a lot about that world that is not entirely real. But our actual relationship was 100 percent real,” he shared.
Humphries also described the breakup as “brutal,” explaining that the public scrutiny left him anxious and reluctant to leave his home.
Looking back, he said all he ever wanted was to be known for basketball, not for being “That Guy from TV.”

Snubbed King Arthur Series Finds New Life on Prime
By Jennifer Asencio
| Updated

The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin premiered back in January on Daily Wire+, but it’s finally getting the wider exposure it deserves after arriving on Prime Video internationally. Between the fact that the streamer is mostly news and podcasts aimed at a target audience, and the fact that it is full of controversial personalities, critics ignored the show, and as of this writing, it still has no critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Many people who dislike both Daily Wire and the show’s creator, Jeremy Boreing, used this as an excuse to claim the show was a failure.
The fact is, The Pendragon Cycle is actually a very good show. I reviewed the entire series, and the series averaged a 4.5 based on strong performances, an incredible script that balanced action, intrigue, drama, and humor, and high production values that included beautiful sets and practical special effects. I’ve also gotten to talk to some of the cast, including Steve Varnom (King Custennin in episodes 5 and 7) and Tom Sharp (who played Merlin himself).

I’ve also made it very clear that I went into the show skeptical of its merits and expecting a bomb. Given that Boreing himself described the show as “probably the most Christian piece of entertainment since Braveheart,” I expected the show to be laden with patriarchal messaging and heavy-handed preaching.
So it was with pleasant surprise that I wound up viewing a show that had realistic, feminine women who were also strong and powerful in their own ways, and that treated religion with only as much bias as the story required. In other words, I expected to see everything that made other critics snub the show but was rewarded with a series that could easily compete with shows like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms or Rings of Power for fantasy dominance, if it were given a chance.
Overlooked, Award-Winning Performances

Now, the show is finally getting its due. First, episode 3 actor Colin Cunningham, who played King Vortigern, won a British Columbia Leo Award, similar to a Golden Globe, for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series. Then The Pendragon Cycle was released on Amazon Prime Video in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Given that much of the original legend, which Stephen R. Lawhead relied on to write the books the series is based on, has a lot of European roots and deals directly with the “Once and Future King” of England, the audiences there have a stake in the story the show portrays. The show premiered fourth in the UK, and top 10 in several European countries, including Spain and Portugal.
Potential Fans Can See For Themselves
This is exciting news for this great show, because it means it has been opened up to a wider audience. To top it off, Steve Varnom made this post on July 11, 2026:
With The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin finally coming to a major streaming service, it will be interesting to see if critics finally bother to review it, and whether they judge it based on its merits or its makers. However, they can no longer tell audiences what to think of it anymore, because viewers will be able to see for themselves how great this show really turned out to be. One claim that was made about the show was that there was no way to measure viewership, but that it wasn’t very high. Now that it has been widely viewed all over Europe, real metrics will begin to surface and reflect the show’s true audience interest.
This is also good news for fans who are clamoring for a second season. If the show gets enough viewers to justify a second season, it is almost certain that Jeremy Boreing will find a way to continue his passion project. The show was always meant to be a huge success for Boreing, but his status as founder of Daily Wire seemed to outweigh the work he and the rest of the crew put into the show. Now that the show is out there for all to see, the possibility of more fans and a more accurate reception could set the stage for his work to continue.

It is good that The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin is finally getting the exposure it deserves. Hopefully it will see the same success in the United States as it did in Merlin’s homeland.
Stay tuned for release details.

‘The Odyssey’ Stars Explain the Intense Timing Constraints of Christopher Nolan’s IMAX Epic
Summary
- Collider’s Steven Weintraub talks with Lupita Nyong’o and Himesh Patel about The Odyssey.
- Nyong’o and Patel discuss filming entirely in IMAX and what it’s like collaborating on set with Nolan.
- They also share how The Odyssey has changed them as actors for future roles.
Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s bold new adaptation of Homer’s enduring epic that chronicles the perilous 10-year voyage of King Odysseus (Matt Damon) from the Trojan War to his home on the island of Ithaca. Once again, Nolan pushes the limits of his favored format, capturing the star-studded feature in IMAX 70mm, in a blockbuster that critics are calling “a filmmaking feast.”
In addition to Damon, The Odyssey stars Academy Award-winner Anne Hathaway as Queen Penelope and Tom Holland as his son, Telemachus, as well as Jon Bernthal, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Elliot Page, and John Leguizamo. The sweeping production was filmed across the world, entirely in IMAX, capturing the fraught journey with groundbreaking technology for a tale deserving of one of the largest screens in the world.
In this interview with Collider’s Steven Weintraub, Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra in the film, and Emmy Award nominee Himesh Patel, who plays Eurylochus, Odysseus’s second-in-command and brother-in-law, chat with us about the singular filmmaking experience of working with Nolan on his most massive feature to date. They discuss how Nolan recreates Ancient Greece, adapting and performing for IMAX, and how The Odyssey changed them as actors.
How Christopher Nolan Transported Himesh Patel and Lupita Nyong’o Back in Time
“He’s not prescriptive, except for when he has to be.”
COLLIDER: The movie’s incredible. You’re both fantastic in it. I wish everyone could see it the way I saw it, in IMAX 70mm. It is jaw-dropping. It’s just a whole other level. I’m curious if you can reveal how Chris built the time machine that took you back to Ancient Greece to film on location?
HIMESH PATEL: That’s a secret. We can’t really get into that. Well, I’ll tell you how he built the time machine. He surrounded himself with some of the best production designers, costume designers, cinematographer, the amazing people who all brought this together to create that world. That’s what he did.
I have been on a Chris Nolan set, but I haven’t been close enough to hear him direct. For both of you, can you share a moment where he directed you in such a way that made you reinterpret the scene, or gave you really good guidance on how you wanted to play something? How does he like to collaborate in a small moment, if you could share?
LUPITA NYONG’O: I think he’s just economical with what he shares and says to you. He gives you a note, and it’s succinct, and it inspires a new thought, and then you just do it. He’s not prescriptive, except for when he has to be, especially because we were working with IMAX and you have two and a half minutes. So sometimes we were going too long, and you’ve just got to tighten it up. So yeah, he’s very economical with his notes, but they’re exact.
PATEL: Yeah, I agree. The economy is definitely the thing. He doesn’t feel the need to give you a note unless it’s something specific and necessary, and I actually really appreciate that because you can tell sometimes when a director doesn’t really have anything more to say other than, “Let’s just go again and see what happens,” and they feel like they have to. It’s like, “I’m good, but if you say ‘just go again,’ let’s just go again.” And I really like that. All it means is, “Okay, he wants to go again, and let’s try something new.” But then when he does give you a note, it’ll be exactly what you needed to hear.
Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ Is Pushing IMAX to the Absolute Limit
“It doesn’t matter the size of the role. For me, it’s about the impact.”
This is such an anomaly, making a movie of this scale and size, and making a whole movie in IMAX 70mm. It has to be one of those “I can’t believe I was a part of it” moments. How did it change you as an actor or as a person, being a part of something like this, and make you think about what you want to do in the future? Because again, this is just one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments.
PATEL: I just felt so grateful to be a part of it every day, getting to create what we were creating and seeing how hard everyone was working. Because what he does on his sets and what he and Emma [Thomas] do, I suppose, they democratize everything. No one gets preferential treatment. We’re all in the thick of it together, and that really highlights for you how hard everyone’s working, because you don’t get to leave and be blind to it. You’re present at all times, seeing everyone’s work, and that really made me feel grateful that I get to do this as a job, and that I get to be around all these wonderful technicians and artists, and all these different people who make it happen.
NYONG’O: It just reinforced for me that it doesn’t matter the size of the role. For me, it’s about the impact. This was another moment where my roles together are small in terms of how much screen time I have, but I felt very additive to the process. They’re small but mighty. So, I’m going to stay true to looking for those impactful roles.
I loved the IMAX of it all, but I’m fascinated by the way they built this blimp to keep the sound quiet, and this mirror system. I’m not sure how much you guys worked with the mirrors. What can you say about working with this new camera in the blimp?
PATEL: I didn’t use the mirrors. Did you use the mirrors?
NYONG’O: I think I did. I don’t remember. Honestly, there’s so much going on, and the IMAX, you are beholden to this thing. My approach was, “Let them handle the technical and let me just focus on my performance as best I can.”
PATEL: I was just always amazed by the camera team, like how quickly they worked when they were reloading the camera.
NYONG’O: It was a dance.
PATEL: If something went wrong, really, their technical prowess is unmatched.
The Odyssey opens in theaters and IMAX on July 17.

Classic R-Rated 90s Crime Thriller Is Finally Streaming On Netflix
By TeeJay Small
| Published

Maybe there’s something wrong with me, but I’ve been interested in crime dramas from the time I was old enough to walk. Films like Goodfellas and Casino, and TV shows like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad have always called to me, so it’s not often that I find a classic mob film I’m not already familiar with. One such movie, Donnie Brasco, has been on my must-watch list for years, though the timing has never been right for me to catch it on streaming. That is, until it was recently loaded onto Netflix, where I was finally granted an opportunity to sit down and take it all in.
Donnie Brasco is a 1997 biopic about an undercover FBI agent by the name of Joseph Pistone, who infiltrated the Bonanno crime family in the 1970s. Pistone spent years posing as a jewel thief, fixer, and eventual consigliere to the mob, ultimately blurring the lines of his own loyalty to both cops and criminals. The film was written by House co-creator Paul Attanasio, and directed by Mike Newell. It features an all-star cast including Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Michael Madsen, Paul Giamatti, and Tony Lip, who served as the inspiration for 2018’s Green Book.

The film begins in 1978, when Pistone (Johnny Depp) first takes on the identity of Donnie Brasco. Using his contact Lefty Ruggiero (Al Pacino), he breaks into the seedy underbelly of organized crime in New York, and makes his bones by moving counterfeit watches, beating up low-level thugs, and snatching cars in place of protection payments. Before long, Donnie is fingered as the new “it” man in the crew, and he moves up the ladder as an enforcer for de facto leader Sonny Black (Michael Madsen).
Unfortunately, Sonny’s soft spot for Donnie doesn’t quite extend to Lefty, and the duo begin to experience a rift in their genuine friendship. As Donnie continues moving up in the ranks, he exploits his FBI connections to bring down the entire operation, even as his absence takes a toll on his relationship with his wife and family. In the end, Donnie collects enough wiretapping evidence to incur over 200 indictments and 100 convictions, effectively putting an end to the Bonanno family crime syndicate.

Donnie Brasco is a fascinating character study about a real-life criminal investigation, though Al Pacino‘s Lefty truly steals the show. Lefty’s character exemplifies a lot of the same principles that were later explored to completion in The Sopranos. His failure to save for retirement, antiquated worldview, and constant fear of being betrayed by his friends serve as the very factors that drive him into a friendship with a cop, unraveling his entire world. In 2026, you could almost make an argument that The Infiltrator does the narrative better, but nobody holds a candle to Pacino’s performance.
I’m happy I can finally cross Donnie Brasco off my list, even if it doesn’t quite stand up to the all time classics like The Godfather or The Departed. In any case, you’ll want to check this one out if you’re a fan of crime thrillers and mob tales. Donnie Brasco is currently streaming on Netflix.

Fill The Widow’s Bay Shaped Hole In Your Life With This Award-Winning Video Game
By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

Widow’s Bay has been the surprise breakout hit of 2026. The AppleTV original series manages to combine humor with horror vibes in a way that’s unlike anything else in years. Matthew Rhys as Mayor Tom does a fantastic job delivering the dry humor that keeps everything grounded, while Kate O’Flynn as his assistant, Patricia, steals the show, including an episode all about her dinner party gone horribly, horribly wrong. Fans are now stuck waiting for Season 2, so to pass the time, why not fire up Dredge, a horror fishing game about navigating strange islands with strange people and something much darker lurking under the surface?
Dredge Is As Unique As Widow’s Bay

Dredge came out in 2023, and like Widow’s Bay, was an unexpected hit thanks to its strange mishmash of genres. Fishing horror? How would that work? Like the series, Dredge relies on atmosphere and the creeping sensation that something isn’t right. By day, it’s peaceful and serene, by night, the horrors come out, though you never quite see them. There’s very large, dark shadows under the surface of the water and one grotto that puts the monsters front and center, but for the most part, it’s all about the vibes.
The odd residents of Widow’s Bay and strange history of the island are a never ending source of amusement. Remember, there was no cannibalism. Dredge doesn’t have the exact sort of dry humor though it does have eccentric island residents and a historical mystery you start to uncover, whether you want to or not, between fishing trips. Letters found in bottles tell a story of the past through the eyes of a young, newly married woman similar to the 1702 founding of the island community. Each ends differently, but there’s striking similarities that will scratch the same itch.
More Dredge And More Widow’s Bay On The Way

A film adaptation of Dredge was announced in 2024 and is reportedly still in the works. The game’s simple gameplay loop of fish, sell for a profit, upgrade the boat, and explore a world where it’s slightly off, led to the game selling over a million copies. Like Widow’s Bay, it was a hit no one saw coming.
Widow’s Bay Season 2 was announced following the airing of the first season finale. With how the season ended, fans would burn down Apple’s headquarters if they didn’t get more episodes. While an answer as to what’s really going on with the island would be great for fans, honestly, they want more Patricia. You don’t get to give fans a sequence like she had with The Boogeyman serial killer and then stop. How the writers will top themselves next season is the real question hanging over Season 2.

Dredge is available on every platform, even mobile, so you’ll get your Lovecraftian haunted ocean vibes on the go. If you give it a shot and like it, there’s also Sunless Sea from 2015, available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, which is a more hardcore narrative-driven survival exploration game. But if you like the haunted, Lovecraftian-inspired sea journeys with strange worlds to visit and stranger people that live there, there’s not a lot of options out there in the gaming world.
Widow’s Bay Season 1 is available to stream exclusively on AppleTV.

Christopher Nolan’s 148-Minute Sci-Fi Masterpiece Continues Its Unstoppable Reign on Streaming
Director Christopher Nolan is loved around the world for his mind-bending movies. The fan-favorite director is the creator behind some of the most beloved features, like the war drama Dunkirk, the sci-fi epic Interstellar, and the mind-bending thriller Memento. This year, Nolan brings his long-gestating historical epic, The Odyssey.
Headlined by frequent collaborator and first-time leading man Matt Damon, the movie will trace Odysseus’ decade-long perilous journey back home. The ensemble is full of Nolan’s staples, like Dark Knight star Anne Hathaway as Odysseus’ wife Penelope, Tenet’s Robert Pattinson as Antinous, and Oppenheimer’s Benny Safdie as Greek King Agamemnon. Further, the cast has new names we’d love to see again in a Nolan film, like Tom Holland, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and Mia Goth.
With The Odyssey, Nolan is touching the historical genre, and he’ll certainly bring his own touch to the age-old tale. Fans can expect massive set pieces, real locations, IMAX cinematography, and a killer background score from Hans Zimmer. While there has been some criticism of the trailer about the historical inaccuracies and casting, the narrative and scope of the feature will certainly make up for it. But as fans wait for The Odyssey, they are flocking to see another masterpiece by Nolan.
‘Inception’ Is a Global Streaming Favorite
The movie in question is sci-fi action thriller Inception. Led by Leonardo DiCaprio as a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets. Things take a turn when he’s offered a chance to have his criminal history erased. He assembles a team to implant another person’s idea into a target’s subconscious. Inception is currently in 9th place on HBO Max’s Global top 10 list, as per FlixPatrol. It stands tall among newer features like Lee Corrin’s The Mummy, horror slasher They Will Kill You, beloved animated classics like Despicable Me and Shrek Forever After, and Ben Affleck’s The Accountant franchise.
Like The Odyssey, Inception also has a stellar ensemble that includes Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Elliot Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger, Dileep Rao, and Michael Caine. The 87% Rotten Tomatoes-scored movie proved a box office success, earning $839 million.
Inception is streaming on HBO Max. The Odyssey will set sail on July 17. Stay tuned to Collider for more such updates.

Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor Are Caught in the Maw of Prime Video’s Chilling Survival Thriller in New Look [Exclusive]
After re-teaming with Radio Silence and surviving the latest game with Samara Weaving in Ready or Not 2, modern scream queen Kathryn Newton is about to head to Thailand for her next bone-chilling feature. She’ll trade running from killer families on the grounds of the Danforth complex for delving into The Devil’s Mouth, a remote cave system that’s just as wondrous as it is terrifying. Premiering later this month on Prime Video, the film casts her as one of five friends embarking on a magical final summer adventure that soon becomes anything but. Ahead of its arrival, Collider can exclusively share a new poster highlighting the survivors and the threat wading into the titular cave’s flooded twists and turns alongside them.
The promo piece centers on the Devil’s Mouth itself, which shows exactly why it got its name with an entrance that looks like a set of jaws opening up to devour any foolish enough to enter. Those hapless victims include Newton, who’s front and center alongside To All the Boys franchise star Lana Condor, followed by their friends, played by Nico Hiraga, Gavin Casalegno, and Tommi Rose, and their guide for the expedition, Tayme Thapthimthong. Despite wearing headlamps, however, they seem completely unaware of the danger lurking just ahead of them. The Devil’s Mouth is a classic shark survival thriller, but instead of being out in the open water, the group is trapped in the narrow, winding confines of the cave with the apex predator and nobody coming to save them.
A week before the friends began their guided swim into the caves of Thailand, a major storm caused massive flooding that sent all manner of sea creatures into the fresh waters of the cave, where they soon died. It gives the Devil’s Mouth an eerie vibe as they venture in and makes it all the more terrifying when they find a shark somehow surviving what should be an inhospitable environment. Silent, deadly, and hungry, it’s ready for them at every wrong turn or slip that sends them plummeting into its domain. The film follows along as the group starts to get disoriented within the dark corridors and begins tearing itself apart as reason gives way to basic survival instincts and sacrifice becomes their only hope of escape.
Who Is Behind ‘The Devil’s Mouth’?
The Devil’s Mouth snapped up an experienced horror maestro in Jeff Wadlow to direct from a script by Little Fish‘s Aja Gabel and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew writer Myung Joh Wesner. Wadlow most recently helmed the Blumhouse flick Imaginary, but he’s perhaps best known for his work on 2018’s Truth or Dare and the superhero comedy sequel Kick-Ass 2. Joining him as producers are two veteran John Wick producers, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who are attached through their Thunder Road Films banner. As the cherry on top, Emmy-winning composer Bear McCreary, known for everything from series like Outlander to video game giants like God of War, composed the score.
The Devil’s Mouth premieres on Prime Video on July 29. Check out the new poster above.

Teen Clarifies Timing Of Pool Party Image
Tracestin Shepherd has now clarified the timing of a pool party image that is being speculated as part of Nolan Xavier Wells‘ last moments, and says Ben Crump is taking advantage of the late teen’s parents.

Tracestin Shepherd Clarifies Timing Of Pool Party Image Speculated As Part Of Nolan Xavier Wells’ Last Moments
On Monday, July 13, ABC News published an exclusive interview with Tracestin Shepherd, reportedly conducted on Sunday, July 12. In the interview, Shepherd initially reiterated statements he had previously made to Rolling Stone. This, clarifying footage taken on Horn Island on July 4. Additionally, in this interview, however, Shepherd supported the claim that Wells chose to stay on the island when his friends were leaving. This, allegedly, because he had met a girl.
Additionally, Shepherd, who is also Black, alleged that his and Wells’ friend group was “very diverse.” And he said that no one would want to harm the 18-year-old.
“We would die for him. We would do everything in our power for that guy. If he needed anything, we would do it,” he said.
Specifically, Shepherd addressed “misinformation” connected to suspicion around Wells’ friends having his phone when his body was found. He explained that it was very common for teens to leave their phones in boats while on Horn Island.

“All our friends are out there. Who are we communicating with?… When Nolan got in the water, he put his phone on the [boat] dash also with probably 15 other phones,” he said.
Additionally, Shepherd addressed a now-viral photo, which is being speculated as part of Nolan Xavier Wells’ final moments. As The Shade Room previously reported, the photo surfaced over the weekend. And it appears to show Wells standing in a pool surrounded by other teens. The image was initially shared on Instagram and captioned, “Summer ’26.” Subsequently, it was reposted by Attorney Ben Crump alongside a caption that read:
“Repost from @shanneltarottv :(Nolan Wells investigation update: The streets are talking! Now listen, I don’t know if these are facts or rumors because no official statements have been confirmed. We sometimes have to follow all clues until the truth is found. Here is what was discovered on social media last night. Social media allegations claim a photo exists of Nolan at a land-based pool party in Jackson County before 1:00 AM on July 5th”
However, Shepherd says the photo was actually taken on June 27 “in nearby Pass Christian, Mississippi.”
The Teen Says Ben Crump Is Taking “Advantage” Of His Parents
As the interview went on, Tracestin Shepherd shifted his focus to Attorney Crump. Per the outlet, he is “upset by the suggestion from Crump that race may have played a role in Wells’ death.” Furthermore, he says, he and his friends have now “become targets.”
“They’re trying to spin a narrative that’s not there. He’s wrong,” Shepherd said before adding. “I understand [Wells’] parents are grieving, and I really think he’s taken a little bit of advantage of that. And I don’t like that. I really don’t because they’re vulnerable.”
RELATED: UPDATE: Ben Crump & Nolan Xavier Wells’ Parents Share New Details About The Night He Went Missing & Their Search For Him (VIDEO)
Ultimately, Shepherd explained that he wants everyone to “relax” and “mourn the loss of Nolan.”
“And let us remember him as the sweet guy he was and not something we’re scared of because of the trauma we’ve had. If Ben Crump is doing his own investigation, let him do it. And then let the sheriff’s office conclude with their investigation and figure out what the facts are on their end. Let us all just know the truth instead of jumping to two conclusions about things,” he said.
Shepherd reiterated that everyone loved Wells and “nobody wanted to see Nolan die.”
“Nobody wanted his life taken so short. He had everything going for him,” he said.
Tracestin Shepherd Previously Clarified The Viral Horn Island Argument Video That Ben Crump Said Showed Nolan Xavier Wells
Tracestin Shepherd’s clarity on the viral pool image comes after he recently spoke on another piece of content. As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, footage surfaced, apparently taken on Horn Island on July 4. Furthermore, it appeared to capture an argument on the island.
The footage was reposted by Ben Crump. Then, he alleged Wells was involved in an argument on the island, per The Shade Room. However, Wells’ best friend has come forward, saying it’s unclear whether he was involved or present during the viral argument clip. Additionally, most recently, Tracestin Shepherd explained that the viral argument clip featured his voice, as he was the teen yelling and involved in the on-camera altercation.

7. Plus-Size Pick: Available in sizes large to 5XL, this three-quarter-sleeve top is relaxed without taking away shape. It comes in solid colors and patterns, so you can stock up for summer.
8. Bell Babe: This lightweight, bohemian-inspired blouse feels like the top equivalent of bell bottoms. It would pair well with a more fitted bottom to balance it out — white jeans, anyone?
9. Cute Crinkles: This simple three-quarter-sleeve top is made more special with the hem and sleeves, which feature a crinkled, ruffled texture. Not bad for an option that’s $7, right?
10. Trusty Tunic: Thanks to the longer length, this breezy top works with leggings or fitted shorts. It comes in a variety of patterns, so you can branch out into colorful clothing this summer.
11. Darling Denim: You can’t go wrong with denim, and this flowy V-neck shirt gives off the look while still remaining breathable. It’s available in other ‘washes,’ too, including another blue, pink and red.
12. Better Basic: Ditch your old T-shirt, and opt for an easy top with tiered sleeves. They’re breezy, too, so you won’t feel restricted in the summer sun.
13. Date Night-Ready: With chiffon-like material, this airy top has sheer sleeves that are waiting to be taken out on the town. Pair it with your favorite fitted jeans, and you’re ready to go.

Eva M. Says She’s ‘Always’ Team Tyra Banks Amid Scandal
Eva Marcille isn’t here for the sudden bashing of “America’s Next Top Model” host Tyra Banks. During her appearance on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” Marcille, who won season 3 of the hit reality TV series, said she’ll always defend Banks against critics. Her declaration comes amid Banks’ bombshell lawsuit against Netflix after the streaming giant released a documentary about the rise and fall of the competition series and the controversies that came of it.

— Watch What Happens Live! (@BravoWWHL) July 13, 2026
While playing one of Cohen’s messy clubhouse games, Marcille, who also appeared in earlier seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was asked to say three nice things about Banks. “Tyra is always fierce, she was always right, and she’s always on top,” Marcille said confidently.
When she was asked to share her thoughts on Netflix’s documentary “Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model,” Marcille said there wouldn’t be enough time to discuss the “shady” production in detail.
And if it wasn’t already clear, Marcille reiterated her loyalty to Banks, saying she is “pro Tyra,” before slamming the docuseries as “biased” and unbalanced. The former “Real Housewives” star also said that she wasn’t asked to participate in the project because producers knew her account would contradict the story they wanted to tell.
Tyra Banks Opened Up About Her Former TV Show, ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ In A 3-Part Netflix Docuseries
According to Netflix’s Tudum, Banks and other influential figures associated with “America’s Next Top Model,” including co-creator Ken Mok and judges Jay Manuel, Jay Alexander, and Nigel Barker, participated in a Netflix docuseries about the series’ rise and fall.
Throughout the episodes, producers interviewed key players, including former contestants, about the show’s history and many of the problematic stunts that have since generated much backlash.
In the trailer, Banks appeared to acknowledge that things on the set of “America’s Next Top Model” spun out of control, saying, “I knew I went too far. It was very, very intense, but you guys were demanding it, so we kept pushing it, more and more and more.”
The production touched on sensitive topics, including racism and colorism, homophobia, sexual assault, and body image.
Marcille Has Previously Thanked Tyra Banks For Helping Jumpstart Her Career

Marcille’s defense of Banks on “WWHL” isn’t the first time the 41-year-old has pledged her support to the former Victoria’s Secret model. In early 2026, Marcille appeared on “CBS Mornings” and discussed some of the gut-wrenching moments from the three-part series, including the cast member who opened up about being sexually assaulted on set.
Although Banks has reportedly apologized for what occurred, Marcille acknowledged that it’s up to the victim to accept it when they’re ready. “… there is no sorry, I think, that’s big enough to truly feel and heal that kind of hurt,” Marcille said.
However, Marcille, who has become arguably one of the biggest stars from the series, went on to thank Banks for what she did for her career.
“What Tyra set out to do in this business, I will always say, and especially for Top Model, initially, she set out to change the world, to change what the modeling industry looked like, sounded like and expected. And she did that for me,” said the mother of three.
Banks Sues Netflix For An Undisclosed Amount

Months after the Netflix documentary became available to stream, Banks sued the streamer, alleging that her interview was edited to paint her in a negative light and to fuel a false narrative.
“Tyra Banks participated in the Netflix documentary series America’s Next Top Model (‘ANTM’) because she believed viewers deserved a candid conversation about the show’s legacy—its successes and its shortcomings,” a portion of the lawsuit states. “There are aspects of the show for which Ms. Banks takes accountability, and she wanted ANTM viewers to hear that from her directly.”
According to Banks, Netflix used only 16 minutes of her three-hour interview in the documentary and allegedly edited out crucial facts about the show to help construct a negative storyline.
“Viewers of a documentary do not expect manufactured drama or constructed narratives. They expect facts. Because they were promised a documentary, that is exactly how viewers interacted with the Netflix Series,” the lawsuit said.
Could Banks Win The Lawsuit Against Netflix? This Legal Expert Says…

Rachel Bennett, a law specialist, addressed the lawsuit after it made headlines and said that for Banks to win, she must prove that Netflix heavily edited her interview to manufacture claims that are “objectively not true.”
Bennett explained that in unscripted television, producers have creative freedom to shape a story as they see fit, as long as it’s not “completely false.”
So, does Banks have a fighting chance? The world is waiting to find out.

Official Trailer : Coastal House Media
Marvel Studios has officially unveiled a new piece of concept art for Avengers: Doomsday, offering fans their clearest look yet at the enormous roster expected to collide in the highly anticipated crossover event.
The artwork places Doctor Doom front and center, reinforcing Robert Downey Jr.’s role as the film’s primary antagonist. Surrounding the iconic villain are heroes from nearly every corner of the Marvel Universe, including Thor, Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, the Fantastic Four, and several classic X-Men.
Among the most notable inclusions are Cyclops, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, Beast, and Gambit, signaling that Marvel is fully embracing the X-Men’s arrival into the MCU. The Fantastic Four are also prominently featured with Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, while Sam Wilson is shown soaring overhead as Captain America.

The concept art also highlights members of the New Avengers, including Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, U.S. Agent, and Bob Reynolds (Sentry). Ant-Man and Shang-Chi also appear, further emphasizing just how expansive the cast has become.
While concept art should never be taken as confirmation of a film’s final story or lineup, it offers an exciting glimpse into the scale Marvel Studios appears to be aiming for. The image suggests that Avengers: Doomsday will unite the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men against Doctor Doom in what could become the biggest ensemble film in MCU history.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, with the Russo Brothers returning to direct the blockbuster event.
