Nancy Guthrie Case Not Linked to Phoenix Canal Body, Sheriff Says
Nancy Guthrie‘s disappearance remains unsolved and authorities say a body found in Phoenix is not currently tied to her case.
Pima County Sheriff’s Office tells us they have “not been notified of any connection reference that case to the Nancy Guthrie case,” addressing speculation surrounding a woman found dead along a canal in Phoenix on Friday.
Phoenix Police say officers responded to a call about an unresponsive adult female on a canal bank. When they arrived, the woman was located and pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
The discovery sparked online chatter because the location is roughly 100 miles from Tucson, where Nancy was taken from in the middle of the night on February 1. She was last seen entering her home just before 10 PM on January 31 after having dinner with her daughter Annie and Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni.

Kayce Dutton’s Marshals spinoff featured a blink-and-you-miss-it mention of a deceased character from Yellowstone.
The Sunday, March 8, episode of the CBS series featured a tense conversation between Andrea (Ash Santos) and Kayce (Luke Grimes) where she grilled him about his brother Jamie’s (Wes Bentley) disappearance. Kayce wouldn’t give up any information about what happened to the other member of the Dutton family but the conversation confirmed that the public was still kept in the dark about the events in the Yellowstone series finale.
Jamie was originally introduced when the OG show premiered on Paramount Network in 2018. He was John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) adopted son, which led to a complex relationship between the pair. Jamie was ultimately responsible for his father’s death earlier in the season — and that caused John’s daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly) to want to seek revenge on her brother.
In the series finale, which aired in December 2024, Beth waited for Jamie at his home following John’s funeral. She attacked her brother with bear spray and they got into a violent altercation before Beth let him know that she sold the Dutton Ranch for $1.1 million to the reservation.

Beth’s husband, Rip (Cole Hauser), arrived and got Jamie off of Beth — only for her to stab her brother to death. Rip then took Jamie’s body to the train station to hide the evidence as the hit series came to an end.
Executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros later broke down the details about what went into choreographing the fight scene.
“Obviously there are places where you will put in their doubles, who have also been with us from the beginning,” Voros told Variety that same month. “They’ve learned the way the actors move and have been studying that so you do have that element for places where you want to pull the pad out and someone has to hit the ground and Kelly has 12 more days of shooting and nothing can happen to her. But Kelly and Wes did the majority of that fight themselves.”

Voros continued: “Even if they are not taking a punch or throwing one, the energy it takes to keep in that space emotionally is exhausting. So I think what people don’t realize when they see that fight is yes, it looks real and bloody and gruesome, but just staying in that mindset of being this ferocious takes a great deal from the actors to stay in the headspace.”
At the time, Voros applauded Reilly, 48, and Bentley, 47, for their commitment to the scene.
“Forget about the milk and the bear spray and the stabbing and all that. That’s the easy part,” she said. “My kudos to Kelly and Wes for being able to keep in that extreme state of war emotionally throughout that scene.”

Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion was reportedly hit by “multiple rounds” of gunfire while the singer remained inside the home.
According to a report by The Los Angeles Times on Sunday, March 8, Rihanna, 38, “was home” when a “suspect fired multiple rounds from inside her vehicle toward the celebrity’s home in Beverly Hills.” The outlet noted that a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed “a round penetrated a wall” of the home at 1:21 PM on Sunday.
Us Weekly has reached out to the LAPD for comment.
The outlet also stated that “no injuries” had been reported as a result of the incident and a 30-year-old female suspect had been taken into custody.
The report also detailed that a LAPD radio dispatch claimed that “approximately 10 shots” were fired at the residence from a “white Tesla” vehicle across the street from the property’s gate before it “fled” the scene.
Additional radio dispatch details heard by the outlet included that “the suspect’s hair was in braids,” “she wore a cream-colored blouse,” and “her car was dirty on the bottom.”
Officers reportedly “caught sight of” the vehicle and “followed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where they arrested” the suspect.
It is unclear if the singer was home with anybody else, including partner ASAP Rocky and the couple’s three children, sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, and daughter Rocki, 5 months.
Us Weekly has also reached out to a representative for Rihanna for comment.

Photos capturing yellow police crime scene tape strung across a leafy street were also published by TMZ on Sunday.
An additional report by NBC News stated details regarding the type of weapon allegedly involved in the incident, claiming that “an AR-15-style rifle” was engaged. The outlet also noted that “more information on the woman, including booking allegations, would be released Monday [March 9].”
LAPD’s “elite Robbery-Homicide Division” is currently investigating the incident, per NBC News.

The comment was shared during the same month that ASAP, 37, spoke publicly about his adoration for Rihanna. “I got with a very special woman,” the fellow musician said during the January 15 episode of the New York Times’ “Popcast” podcast. “We’re on the same page. Olivia Culpo is using offcuts of her hair to keep wild coyotes from stalking her pet dog.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 8, to detail her experience, Culpo, 33, revealed that she’d kept pieces of her hair from a recent cut to fend off threats that reside just outside her California home.
“I asked if I could take the hair we cut to sprinkle along my fence line to scare away the coyotes,” she wrote over a photo that captured her hair in a small plastic bag. “This is the level of insane dog mom I am but by the way, it works! The coyotes are everywhere and hungry.”
A subsequent Instagram Story featured footage of a coyote standing at the foot of her glass fence while peering into the model’s backyard. Culpo captioned it, “This video honestly still haunts me. A cute but hungry coyote … trying to eat my baby. And during the day.”

Culpo is fur mom to Oliver Sprinkles, an adopted Goldendoodle that she took in with her husband, NFL player Christian McCaffrey. The couple also share a human daughter, Colette, 8 months.
Culpo also shared footage of herself throwing her hair onto the surrounding grounds. “Yesterday I heard some rustling over here … not anymore. Coyotes, be gone,” she told fans in the clip.

According to Human Material Loop, an organization focused on sustainable innovation, “human hair has been used for centuries to repel animals and control pests in various ways.”
A doting mom to Oliver Sprinkles, Culpo created an Instagram account for her pup that’s attracted more than 30,000 followers. Prior to Culpo giving birth to her daughter, she shared a post in June 2025 that showed McCaffrey, 29, gazing adoringly at the pooch while cradling it on the couple’s back deck.
Another snap captured the athlete holding Oliver Sprinkles in his lap while seated on an aircraft.
Culpo recently opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about how her San Francisco 49ers star husband has adapted to fatherhood of the human variety. “I always knew he would be a really good dad because he’s a really good person,” Culpo told Us in January. “He has a really good example because his parents are great.”

She continued, “He will be such a good example and protector to her. I know that she’ll always be able to feel like she has someone who loves her more than anything. I feel like everybody deserves to feel that.”
Culpo evidently can’t help doting on her little one herself, sharing a collection of infant onesies via Instagram that supported the 49ers during the last NFL season. Several of the tiny creations even featured McCaffrey’s jersey number, 23, traced into the back of them.
Rachel Zoe‘s glam weekend in Las Vegas took a dark turn back home … ’cause TMZ has learned her Los Angeles house was broken into.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s Bel Air property was burglarized early Sunday morning while she was in Sin City for the opening of Zero Bond Las Vegas.
We’re told Zoe’s alarm company received an activation alert and the alarm company quickly notified police. Patrol units in the neighborhood responded and spotted two male suspects leaving the property. We’re told one of those suspects is in custody.
Our sources say no one was home during the break-in. It’s still unclear what — if anything — was taken.
We broke the story … Zoe’s “RHOBH” costars Kathy Hilton and Sutton Stracke were both burglarized last November while they were in Las Vegas for BravoCon. In fact, Kathy’s home is just a short walk from Rachel’s.

With Season 4 now fully released, Bridgerton has reigned over Netflix relatively uncontested for the past month and counting. The Regency Era series returned in January to tell the love story of Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) and Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and, unsurprisingly, immediately shot to the top of the streamer’s charts, where Part Two has remained globally ever since its premiere back in February. There are few shows capable of challenging Shonda Rhimes‘ much-loved adaptation of Julia Quinn‘s romance novels in the recent aftermath of a new season, considering not one, but two installments rank in the platform’s Top 10 English-language series of all time. However, a spicy, much-anticipated new thriller is starting to make a push for the crown.
Thursday marked the premiere of Vladimir, the miniseries take on Julia May Jonas‘ novel of the same name, starring The Mummy favorite Rachel Weisz. It follows a middle-aged English professor whose life begins unraveling amid a scandal at her college. During this, she becomes consumed by her obsession with one of her young colleagues, the dashing Vladimir (Leo Woodall), despite both of them being married. Regardless of the risks, she’s ready to do anything to make her fantasies a reality, pushing boundaries and bringing secrets to light in the process. In the words of the author herself, it “explores what women feel like they’re allowed to desire, and how they’re allowed to desire.” Judging from the streaming numbers so far, audiences desire the series, too.
Currently, Vladimir sits in second place on the platform, falling just behind Bridgerton and barely coming out ahead of The Night Agent, another of Netflix’s most-watched series that just got renewed for Season 4. Critics have been a bit more mixed on the final product, giving it a 66% on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences in general have shown they’re on board for the darkly comedic, seductive, and twisted tale being told through the star-studded cast, including John Slattery, Jessica Henwick, Matt Walsh, Kayli Carter, Miriam Silverman, Mallori Johnson, Tattiawna Jones, and Louise Lambert. Collider’s Taylor Gates lauded Weisz’s comedic performance in particular in her 8/10 review, saying, “By not leaning into its edgier, murkier elements, Vladimir stops short of being a masterpiece, but it’s still a hell of a lot of fun.”

What’s Next for Rachel Weisz After ‘Vladimir’?
Vladimir is only Weisz’s second leading television role, following her acclaimed dual turn in Prime Video’s 2023 series adaptation of David Cronenberg‘s Dead Ringers. Next, the Oscar winner will be heading back to the big screen and to easily one of her most beloved roles as Evelyn O’Connell. Last year, The Mummy fans got a big surprise when it was announced that Ready or Not directing duo Radio Silence would be helming a new sequel to the 1999 adventure film starring Weisz and Brendan Fraser, and it’ll premiere in May 2028.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett managed to revitalize the Scream franchise after the death of Wes Craven, and they’re looking to do the same with the return to Egypt, which aims to begin shooting in August. In an interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff for their sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Gillett described the challenges of balancing nostalgia with new ideas as they take on such a beloved franchise.
“I feel like we have some muscle memory now. You don’t want to be too beholden to what came before, but you want to be really respectful of it. It’s walking that fine line of giving people and ourselves something new and fresh that stands on its own when it comes out without alienating what came before it, but also without just being nostalgia bait. I think it has to be both of those things.”

As you know … the YouTuber-turned-WWE Superstar threw down a challenge, claiming no football player could beat him in a boxing match — and offered $1 million to anyone willing to try. Well, there were a lot of people chomping at the bit. Doja Cat is adding her name to the chorus of people slamming Timothee Chalamet over his ugly comments about opera and ballet.
The hip hop star posted a TikTok video Sunday to address the issue, kicking things off by noting opera and ballet are 400 and 500 years old, respectively. She then mispronounced Timothee’s name before saying he had the “audacity to tell the cameras that nobody cares about [opera and ballet].”

Doja also said she’s “pretty sure” that if anyone went to an opera house today, it would be totally packed with fans sitting silently during the performance because “they have so much respect” for the genre, which is “very beautiful!”
She also explained that dancers endure a lot of pain and suffering because they love what they do. Doja went on to say that even though the industry is going through a tough time, it doesn’t mean people don’t care about opera and ballet anymore.
As you know, Timothee has been getting a lot of heat lately after he said he wouldn’t want to work in opera and ballet just to keep the industry alive because “no one cares about this anymore.”
Timothee made the controversial remarks during a CNN-Variety town hall in Austin, Texas on February 21. The actor was discussing the future of the movie industry with Matthew McConaughey and making a comparison with the opera and ballet industries.
