Senate Banking Chair Tim Scott went on Fox Business and called it “HISTORIC,” declaring it puts America “back in the DRIVING SEAT” with lower prices, faster transactions, and a “PERMISSIONLESS environment for everyday Americans.” His punchline: “Banks fought tooth and nail… and still LOST.”
Meanwhile Senator Cynthia Lummis confirmed the timeline: combine the bills passed by Senate Banking + Senate Ag Committees, add ethics language and technical refinements, then “headed to the Senate floor this summer.” Translation: June floor vote → House reconciliation → realistic July Trump signing. That’s a 2-4 week delay from the original timeline — but the structural framework is intact.
