According to a press release, CBS has had several wins, with Marshals and Justin Hartley’s Tracker coming out as the top two most‑watched shows during their premiere week. The premiere of Luke Grimes‘ spinoff, meanwhile, ranks as CBS’ most-streamed episode ever on Paramount+.

Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, which aired from 2018 to 2024, originally introduced Us to Grimes, 42, as Kayce Dutton. After the show came to an end, it was announced that the actor would be headlining his own series for CBS, which follows Kayce as he leaves “ranching life behind to join an elite unit” of the U.S. Marshals while “combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.”

The show debuted earlier this month with Grimes, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Brett Cullen and Logan Marshall Green leading the cast. Longtime fans of Taylor Sheridan‘s Yellowstone universe were shocked, however, when the first episode revealed the death of Kayce’s wife, Monica (Kelsey Asbille).

Showrunner Spencer Hudnut later explained that the death happened after they realized Asbille, 34, wasn’t available to appear on the show.

“The original conversation was that it has to be something [that happens to Kayce in the series premiere]. There was the thought of, ‘Maybe we find him and he’s just bored because he was protecting his family and was a Navy SEAL, so then actually a calm life is not for him, which is a path,’” Hudnut told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month about the motivation behind the new spinoff. “But probably not a satisfying enough path for Kayce. Then, truthfully, as we were trying to figure it out, Monica was not one of the ingredients that was available to me.”

Hudnut clarified that he didn’t speak with Asbille before it was decided that Monica would be written off.

“No, I wasn’t part of any of that, so I can’t really speak to how or why that played out the way it did. But when that happened, it cleared up what that thing was for Kayce,” he noted. “And I think the way we’ve done it, my goal was to not undermine that journey in Yellowstone because they do have [the dream] — she says, ‘This is a dream come true’ at the end of it. They did achieve that. They did get what they finally wanted, and, unfortunately, life just intervened and disrupted everything that Kayce wanted. So that’s where we find him in Marshals.”

Jude Law’s ex Cat Cavelli is sharing her side of the story after Chappell Roan’s alleged interaction with her 11-year-old daughter in Brazil.

“Hi guys, good morning,” Cavelli said in a Sunday, March 22, Instagram video. “I wanted to say something because I’m getting so many messages about this now and honestly I didn’t realize it would get this crazy but a lot of people asked me, ‘What actually happened?’ and everything else and I know that Chappell has responded saying that it wasn’t her security and that she didn’t do it.”

She continued, “So, 100 percent this security guard was not a security guard of the hotel — that is what I can say. He looks after artists, so I don’t know if it was her personal security guard but he was with her. That is all I know. Did she send him to do it? Again, I don’t know. Look, I would like to hope not but at the same time, I think that you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity to make sure, I guess, that the people who work with you and act on your behalf are acting on your behalf.”

Cavelli questioned whether the security guard would have approached them if “he didn’t have the authority to do so.”

“I don’t know,” she continued. “If he does, then obviously that’s a big problem because then he’s representing her in a way that she doesn’t want to be represented so I think that’s really important for her to notice and realize that’s not correct.”

Cavelli went on to note that they were staying at the same hotel as Roan, enjoying breakfast when they noticed someone who looked similar to the singer. Cavelli claimed her daughter “didn’t approach” Roan but went to see if the woman they spotted was, in fact, the pop star. (Cavelli is also mom to son Jax, whom she shares with professional soccer star Jorginho.)

“She didn’t have her phone, she didn’t try to take a picture, she didn’t approach her. She literally didn’t do anything. She just looked at her,” Cavelli claimed of her daughter, noting that a security guard then approached them with a “very aggressive tone.”

“For me, I feel like it really overstepped a boundary, because he is quite an intimidating … he is very large,” she continued. “So for him to come over to a table with just a woman and her daughter eating breakfast to kind of berate and scold us and say that he was going to complain and tell me that I should be teaching my daughter to be better, and that she’s badly educated, and we should respect people’s privacy, and we should not harass people, and all of these other things.”

Cavelli claimed she tried to explain that her daughter was “very excited” to see an artist that she “admires.” She also noted that Jorginho is “very well known” and her daughter “knows the limits” around public figures.

“I tried to explain this to him, and then he just kept saying, ‘Well, if that’s the case, you should know better. You should know how it is. You should know how it is. So you should teach her to be better. You shouldn’t allow her to be like this,’” Cavelli recalled. “I was shocked.”

She continued, “I did actually say to him at the time, I said, ‘Well, if this the case that she doesn’t even want people to look at her, she is very welcome to eat breakfast in her room, because this here is a public area, and I am a paying guest as well as her. So if I want to walk past someone’s table and look at them, I have every right to do so. I am not approaching her. I’m not doing anything to make her feel intimidated or nothing.’”

Cavelli said that she hopes Roan “did not know” and “did not send her security guard over to do this.” She noted that the family traveled to see the show, with her daughter asking to see the singer perform for her birthday present. The group ended up skipping the show.

“It’s how it is. We’ll say no more on it. That’s it,” she concluded. “I hope that maybe, if it wasn’t her, that she learns to not allow the people that work for her to treat people like this. That’s the end of it.”

In the caption, Cavelli wrote, “Good afternoon, everyone! I’ve been reflecting on the recent events, which is why it took me a while to speak out. First of all, I want to say that we’re all okay. We met Jorge here at his hotel, and I decided to share a bit about what happened. Thank you for the support and for all the kind messages.”

The drama began on Saturday, March 21, that Jorginho (real name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho) claimed that Roan’s security team wouldn’t allow his daughter to meet her.

“During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her,” Jorginho alleged in his statement via social media. “And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”

A security guard allegedly told Cavelli and her daughter that she shouldn’t “disrespect or harass other people.”

“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” Jorginho concluded. “I’ve lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. Roan, for her part, addressed the comments on Sunday in a video shared via social media.

“I’m just gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child, who were involved with a security guard who is not my personal security,” Roan said via her Instagram Story. “I didn’t even see a woman and a child, like, no one came up to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel, as well.”

Roan denied that she asked the security official to “go up and talk” to the family on her behalf.

“I did not, [and] they did not come up to me. They weren’t doing anything,” Roan said. “It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there’s no action even taken, like, that’s so not what I stand behind.”

Roan noted that she has no issue with her fans, adding, “I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children, like, that is crazy. I’m sorry to that mother and child that someone was assuming something that you would do something and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.”

ABC announced on Thursday, March 19, that season 22 of The Bachelorette was canceled days before the scheduled Sunday, March 22, premiere.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson told Us in a statement at the time.

The update came after TMZ released footage of Taylor physically assaulting and throwing multiple chairs at ex Dakota Mortensen in a 2023 incident. In the video, Taylor’s daughter can be heard crying in the background. (Taylor shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul. She’s also mom to son Ever, whom she welcomed with Dakota in 2024.)

The incident led to Taylor’s arrest at the time, where she was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief after the incident. Taylor ultimately pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, while the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice. She later reached a plea deal.

A rep for Taylor told Us in a statement on Thursday that she is “very grateful for ABC’s support” while she “prioritizes her family’s safety and security.”

According to Governor Josh Green, an estimated 200 people have been rescued and 10 have presented at hospitals with symptoms consistent with hypothermia. Chappell Roan has broken her silence and responded to allegations made by soccer star Jorginho over a reported security incident involving his 11-year-old daughter, Ada Law. The singer shared her side of the story, saying that she had nothing to do with the incident.

Jorginho’s wife, Catherine Harding, also known as Cat Cavelli, who was with her daughter when the interaction with security happened, has also spoken out about the issue.

On March 21, Jorginho made a lengthy post on Instagram Stories, alleging that Roan sent a member of her security team to approach his wife and daughter while having breakfast at a hotel, as The Blast previously reported.

The mother and daughter were in São Paulo to attend Lollapalooza, where Roan was one of the performers. It just so happened that they were staying at the hotel where the singer was, and Ada got excited upon seeing the singer. Jorginho said her daughter walked by Roan’s table to confirm it was her and didn’t do anything else.

Moments later, however, Harding and Ada were allegedly approached by a member of Roan’s security and spoke to them in an “aggressive” manner, telling Harding that she shouldn’t have allowed Ada to “disrespect” or “harass” people. Chappell Roan’s Response To The Allegations

On March 22, Roan took to Instagram Stories to share her side of the incident. According to the singer, the security guard was not part of her team. Moreover, she didn’t see a woman and a child, adding that no one approached her at that time. “No one bothered me. Like, I was just sitting at my breakfast in my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel as well,” she explained.

The singer added that she didn’t ask security to talk to Harding and Ada. “It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe, because there’s no action even taken,” she said. Furthermore, she added that she does not hate kids, saying, “Like, that is crazy.”

She concluded by saying, “I’m sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming that you would do something and if you felt uncomfortable.” Roan said the incident made her “sad,” adding, “You did not deserve that.”

Catherine Harding Also Spoke Out

Harding also shared her version of events on Instagram Stories. She decided to address the issue after getting “so many messages” after her husband posted about it. Harding said she has seen Roan’s video.

According to Harding, she’s absolutely sure that the person who approached her and Ada was not part of the hotel’s security, saying the person, who she described as “very large,” “looks after artists.” Whether or not Roan asked the guard to approach, she said she didn’t know.

Harding also questioned whether the security guard would have approached them without having been told, and if that’s what happened, “he’s representing her in a way that she doesn’t want to be represented so I think that’s really important for her to notice and realize that’s not correct.”

According to Harding, the man berated her and told her to teach her daughter to “be better,” saying that the girl was “badly educated.” She explained the situation to the security guard, saying that her daughter was just excited to see Roan, adding that she knows about boundaries since Jorginho is also a public figure.

Harding said she hopes Roan didn’t really have anything to do with it. “I hope that maybe, if it wasn’t her, that she learns not to allow the people that work for her to treat people like this. That’s the end of it.”

Jorginho’s post about the incident became viral, and now that both sides have spoken, social media users have differing opinions.

One user commented, “great job everyone for hopping on yet another woman’s hate train over a man’s unproven story.” Another wrote, “Where’s his apology? Or do men in sports get a free pass when they weaponize outrage?” “I know someone is lying and it’s not Chappell,” another added.

Meanwhile, others don’t believe the singer’s account. “I’m supposed to believe a random security guard came out of nowhere to defend her honor and thought a kid was a threat? All on his own? No orders just… just a lone security guy seeking justice?” one questioned. “Throws the guard under the bus while claiming zero involvement. Classic celeb deflection. Weak sauce,” another wrote.

NHL reporter Jessi Pierce, her three children and the family dog were killed in a house fire. She was 37.

“The entire National Hockey League family sends our prayers and deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jessi Pierce and her three young children,” the NHL said in a statement on Sunday, March 22. “Jessi loved our game and was a valued member of the NHL.com team for a decade. We will miss her terribly.”

Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire at a single-family home in Minnesota around 5:25 a.m. local time on Saturday, March 21, according to the White Bear Lake Fire Department.

“Neighbors that made the 911 call reported seeing fire coming through the roof of the house and stated there were likely people inside of the house,” a statement from Fire Chief Greg Peterson read via Facebook. “Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved structure fire and immediately began fire suppression efforts. Crews were then able to locate an adult, three children and a dog inside of the house. Unfortunately, all were deceased.”

The statement noted that the department’s “hearts ache for those involved in this tragedy,” continuing, “We ask for the opportunity to allow our community to come together and support one another during this difficult time.”

The statement was captioned, “It is a very difficult and sad day for our community. We will provide updates when it is appropriate. Our main focus at this time is on everyone affected by this tragedy.”

Pierce, who graduated from Iowa State University, was a contributor to NHL.com for the past 10 seasons and also worked for the Minnesota Wild. Michael Russo, a reporter for The Athletic, honored Pierce’s legacy via social media while sending a message to her husband, Mike.

“There are no words to express how heartbroken we all are,” he wrote via X on Sunday. “Jessi Pierce (Hinrichs) was the most vibrant person – the life of the party, always with a smile on her face, always bringing a passion to every article and podcast and interview she did. Jessi simply loved covering the Wild and hockey throughout Minnesota and had a way of brightening everyone’s day with her upbeat, bubbly personality. I have literally NEVER met anybody that had a way of being EVERYBODY’s friend.”

Russo’s tribute noted that Pierce “absolutely loved” her three children “more than anything” and was “the greatest mother who did everything she could to bring joy to her sweetest kids.”

“My heart breaks for Mike for the loss of his wife and children and Jessi’s family, friends and colleagues for this unimaginable loss. This hockey community lost a wonderful, energetic and one of a kind voice and story teller and Grade A person,” Russo wrote. “Life can be unbearably unfair sometimes, and it’s impossible to make sense of this tragedy.”

Russo continued, “Please keep Jessi and her beautiful kids in your thoughts and prayers. I wish Mike all the peace and support and happiness in the world. A lot of tears were shed at the arena yesterday. We, in the Wild media and inside the Wild, will miss seeing Jessi everyday, laughing with her everyday. A representative for Sarah Ferguson is setting the record straight on whether she planned to participate in a reality TV show focused on cloning the late Queen Elizabeth II’s famous corgis.

The Daily Mail reported on Saturday, March 21, that Ferguson was set to star in a reality series following the royal as she sold clones of corgis Muick and Sandy. (Ferguson and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, had previously taken in the dogs after Elizabeth’s death in 2022.)

“Ms. Ferguson regularly receives varied TV offers and proposals — often for reality shows which she always declines,” her rep told People in a Sunday, March 22, statement.

The message noted that “to be absolutely clear” Ferguson “declined the proposal” reported by the Daily Mail “regarding a reality TV show involving the late Queen’s corgis.”

“She received the proposal following some initial conversations with Halcyon media to discuss a potential programme on dogs generally, but conversations ended following her declining the opportunity suggested,” the statement concluded.

Us Weekly reached out to Ferguson’s reps for comment.

The Daily Mail claimed that eight months after Elizabeth died, Ferguson spoke with multiple production companies in the United States about the corgis being involved in a potential show. Per the Daily Mail, a reported synopsis for the series noted that Ferguson set up a “company called The Queen’s Corgis, which aims to clone the Queen’s corgis and sell them to other dog lovers around the world.”

“But as she dives deeper into the world of genetics and cloning, Fergie realizes that her business venture is not without controversy…” the alleged synopsis reads. “As the series unfolds, viewers will be taken on a journey through the fascinating world of genetics and cloning, as well as the inner workings of the royal family. They will witness the highs and lows of Fergie’s business venture, and see how her determination and resilience are put to the test.”

While detailing how she takes care of the animals, Ferguson gushed that the pets “do all get on with each other.”

One year earlier, Ferguson shared that the corgis “can sense the late Queen’s presence at Royal Lodge, Windsor.” (Elizabeth died in 2022 at the age of 96.)
