Zolani Tete, a two-time world boxing champion, was shot dead in front of his house in Mdantsane, South Africa, on Friday night.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana, confirmed that the shooting happened at around 6:30pm.

According to Gantana, the 38-year-old boxer arrived at his home and waiting for the gate to open when he and a 27-year-old female passenger were ambushed by two unknown armed suspects, who were wearing balaclavas.

‘In an attempt to escape the hail of bullets, the deceased drove his vehicle into the yard,’ Gantana said.

‘He unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on the scene.

‘The female passenger sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. She remains hospitalised.’

‘At this stage, no arrests have been made. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be apprehended.’

Tete is a former junior bantamweight IBF champion and WBO bantamweight champion. He also holds the record for the fastest knockout in a title fight in boxing, knocking out Siboniso Gonya in 11 seconds of the first round of their fight in 2017.

The 38-year-old, who last fought in 2022, was preparing to make a return to the ring after serving a four-year doping ban.

‘The last four years have been nothing but hell for me and my family,’ Tete told The Herald in July.

‘To be denied to do what I love on frivolous circumstances when I know I am innocent is heart-breaking.

‘But as I said, UKAD never brought me to boxing, and they will not take me out of it.’

Girl, 6, dies after being pulled from sea alongside three family members

Published

on

Daily Record

Saja El-Khawas, the six-year-old daughter of a Palestinian refugee, has died in hospital, following the deaths of her parents and older sister

A young girl pulled from the sea in West Sussex in an incident that claimed the lives of three of her family members, has now also died.

Saja El-Khawas, six, died on Friday after the deaths of Sara El-Khawas, 14, and her parents Hassan El-Khawas, 55, and Zeina Alayn, 37, in Shoreham-by-Sea on Tuesday afternoon.

Saja had been in hospital in a critical condition since the incident.

Her identity and death were confirmed in a legal notice from solicitors acting on behalf of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, as well as the Palestinian Forum in Britain.

The Palestinian embassy said Mr El-Khawas was a Palestinian refugee from the Rashidieh Camp in Lebanon.

Rashidieh Camp is on the Mediterranean coast in southern Lebanon and is one of the most populous Palestinian refugee camps in the country.

The older part of the camp was built by the French government in 1936 to accommodate Armenian refugees who fled to Lebanon, while the newer part was built by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East in 1963 for Palestine refugees, according to the agency.

It is believed the family travelled from their home in London to visit Shoreham and entered the water from the beach near Shoreham Fort at around 2pm before they got into difficulty.

On Wednesday, Sussex Police said their investigation remains open, but after a review of CCTV footage and initial witness accounts, it is currently thought the deaths were a tragic accident, with no third-party involvement.

Chief Superintendent James Collis said: “The events of Tuesday afternoon are a heartbreaking tragedy which has devastated a family and their friends and had a profound impact on the Shoreham community.”

Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls posted a tribute to Year 8 student Sara following the “tragic incident” during the summer holidays on its website on Thursday.

The school, in the London borough of Ealing, said: “Sara was a sweet girl, well-liked by staff and students and she will be greatly missed.

“Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends, and all those affected.

“This news will be deeply upsetting for many students, families and staff.”

In a statement on Facebook, the Palestinian embassy said it was “closely monitoring the incident”.

Adnan Hmidan, chairman of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, paid tribute to the family, although his spelling of their name differed from that used by Sussex Police.

He said: “The Palestinian, Arab and wider community in Britain, along with the many friends and supporters of our community, have been deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic incident involving the Khawwas family during a day trip off the coast of Sussex.”

Prime Minister Andy Burnham warned of the dangers of open water swimming after the incident, which he described as “a terrible family tragedy”.

The family are believed to have entered the water from the south of the 19th century Shoreham Fort, on the west side of the harbour arm.

Video footage showed a number of emergency services searching an area of water near to an arm of the harbour where the River Adur meets the sea.

Bridget Phillipson branded ‘stupid’ by senior Tory after claiming racism and sexism were ‘normal’ in Britain

Bridget Phillipson was branded ¿stupid¿ by a top Conservative yesterday amid a furious racism row

Bridget Phillipson was branded ‘stupid’ by a top Conservative yesterday amid a furious racism row.

The former education secretary claimed racism and sexism have become ‘normal’ in Britain thanks to social media.

The minister for women and equalities pointed to Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick and Tory Nick Timothy as proof of this, accusing them of making ‘racist’ remarks in recent years.

Last October Mr Jenrick complained he ‘didn’t see another white face’ during a visit to an area of Birmingham, while Mr Timothy said that a mass Muslim prayer session in Trafalgar Square was an ‘act of domination and division’.

Ms Phillipson told The Guardian: ‘Apparently I’m calling him names when I say that’s racist.

‘I think it is fundamentally racist because I don’t think he would say that about any other group.’

She added: ‘I find it shocking that we hear that from Opposition spokespeople, in a way that I think even five, ten years ago they would have had a second thought about that. It’s become normal.’

But Mr Timothy, Kemi Badenoch’s justice spokesman, branded the Cabinet minister ‘stupid’.

He said: ‘If Phillipson can identify the racial groups to whom I was racist, she can call me racist. If she can’t, she’ll go on sounding stupid. And I’ll go on saying mass Muslim prayer in public spaces is an act of domination.’

He later told the Daily Mail that Ms Phillipson’s comments serve as a further warning about Labour’s proposals to introduce a new official definition of ‘Islamophobia‘.

It will not be set in law, but free speech campaigners have warned it will lead to a clampdown on freedom of expression.

Mr Timothy said Ms Phillipson had ‘unwittingly demonstrated exactly what we have warned about since Labour first promised an “Islamophobia” definition’.

He added: ‘There is a world of difference between racial identity and religious beliefs.

‘You can’t help being the race you are, but you choose the beliefs you hold. And religious beliefs – like any other ideas – should be scrutinised and challenged and satirised freely.

‘If she can identify the racial groups to whom I have been racist, she is entitled to call me a racist.

‘If she can’t, and just shouts ‘racist’ at political opponents instead of debating them, she is not only proving the limitations of her own mind [but] is proving beyond doubt that this “Islamophobia” definition is wrong, dangerous and must be scrapped.’

Mr Timothy added: ‘I will go on saying exactly what I think – and so should everyone else.’

Ms Phillipson, who was demoted from her previous role as education secretary in new Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s reshuffle, added that she is worried ‘about our sons and what they’re being exposed to, especially online and the extent to which we have this whole industry that’s been built up on exploiting grievance’.

She added: ‘Things that not very long ago felt totally unacceptable are becoming normal.

‘And I think we’re seeing that in terms of attitudes towards women, and I think we see that in terms of attitudes around racism.’

Prince Harry’s secret visit to Trump’s backyard days before UK return with Meghan was revealed

Under the radar and out of the spotlight, Prince Harry quietly executed a series of meaningful engagements in the United States prior to his return back home to the United Kingdom

Under the radar and out of the spotlight, Prince Harry quietly executed a series of meaningful engagements in the United States prior to his return back home to the United Kingdom.

But there was no meeting with Donald Trump during his time in Washington.

The 41–year–old prince and his wife, Meghan Markle, are relocating their family back to the UK for a longer period of time starting this month.

The move aligns with an upcoming milestone for their children. Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, are starting school there in September.

Yet, on the very same day that revelation made global headlines, Harry was secretly navigating Washington, DC, completing four important visits.

He kicked off his trip at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the top military hospital in the US.

While there, he spent time with service members, nurses and doctors, hosted a focused roundtable discussion with wounded veterans and delved into the groundbreaking technologies reshaping how wounded troops heal and rebuild.

During the stop, Harry explored how Walter Reed applies sports medicine to treat service members living with severe, life–altering injuries and limb loss – helping them to possibly re–enter active service.

After leaving Walter Reed, Harry made his way to Arlington National Cemetery to honor America’s fallen heroes.

There, he observed the traditional Changing of the Guard before placing a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier – a monument established in 1921 to memorialize unidentified US service members who lost their lives in conflict.

Afterwards, he met with several Gold Star families and visited their graves.

Continuing his secret sweep of the capital, Harry joined a roundtable hosted by military charity The Independence Fund.

He sat down with wounded troops, veterans and campaign advocates to tackle the tough transition to civilian life.

Capping off his whirlwind day, Harry made a final stop at the Washington VA Medical Center.

The royal toured the facility’s Community Living Center to sit down with resident elderly veterans and learn more about their operation.

Harry’s covert pilgrimage to Arlington comes just months after his father, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, made their own visit to the iconic national cemetery during the climax of their American tour late last April.

The King and Queen officially wrapped up their trip on April 30, bidding farewell to Trump and Melania in the nation’s capital before making the solemn journey to the sacred Virginia grounds.

Their visit was a deliberate nod to the deep–seated military alliance bridging the Special Relationship between the US and the US – a powerful tradition Harry echoed during his own unannounced visit when he, too, stood at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to lay a ceremonial wreath.

Harry’s quiet homage at Arlington unfolded just as the news broke that he and Meghan are packing up for Britain.

The King was tipped off about the family’s relocation on Sunday, August 16, with royal insiders telling People magazine that Charles warmly welcomes the chance to spend meaningful, private time with the Sussexes on their home turf.

In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess announced they intended to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family, still support Elizabeth II, but split their time between the UK and North America.

The late Queen ruled at the famous ‘Sandringham Summit’, which was convened in Norfolk to resolve the crisis, that the couple could not be half in and half out.

By March 2020, Harry and Meghan had set up a permanent home in California, officially stepped down as senior royals and stopped using their HRH styles.

Ahead of their return to the UK, Archie and Lilibet have already been enrolled in British schools with terms typically starting in September.

Meanwhile, Meghan is expected to continue to run her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from their new base – and the Sussexes are keeping their homes in California and Portugal.

There are currently no plans for either Harry or Meghan to resume their roles as working royals, which means they will remain as private ‘financially independent’ people.

I was the other victim of ‘Britain’s most evil mother’: Lisa Hayden-Johnson tricked doctors into thinking her son had a litany of life-threatening illnesses – now his older sister speaks out…

Published

on

Lisa Hayden-Johnson (right) was feted as the nation’s most devoted parent, a woman fighting tooth and nail to manage the litany of life-threatening conditions that afflicted Matthew Johnson

Laura Johnson was just six when it dawned on her that her mother might be a bad person.

Lisa Hayden-Johnson was feted as the nation’s most devoted parent, a woman fighting tooth and nail to manage the litany of life-threatening conditions that afflicted Laura’s younger brother Matthew.

Accompanied by Matthew in his little wheelchair, she appeared on TV: GMTV with Fiona Phillips and The X Factor with Simon Cowell, and had breakfast at Downing Street with then Prime Minister Tony Blair. Matthew, dubbed Britain’s sickest child, was also given a Children Of Courage award by Camilla, then Duchess of Cornwall.

But at the family home in Brixham, Devon, it was clear to Laura that her mother’s claims – that Matthew had cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, anaemia, was allergic to almost all foods and unable to walk, eat or even breathe unaided – were simply not true.

‘Out in public he would be really poorly,’ recalls the now 27-year-old in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail this week.

‘Then we’d get home and he would be normal. We’d play outside together, eat normal food together. He didn’t need the wheelchair or the oxygen. It didn’t make any sense to me.’

Eventually it also didn’t make sense to the doctors who – fooled by his mother’s lies and faked test results – had treated Matthew for years.

In reality the little boy was physically healthy and, following a two-year police investigation, Hayden-Johnson was jailed for three years at Exeter Crown Court in January 2010 after admitting child cruelty and perverting the course of justice.

But the horrific saga of the woman back then dubbed ‘Britain’s most evil mother’ didn’t end there. This week, Laura revealed her fears that she may also have been targeted by Hayden-Johnson as a child.

Having begun to look back over her own medical records in recent years, she now questions if she was a ‘test subject’ for her mother.

‘She was claiming I was having seizures and I was being put on very strong medication for it until I was six or seven. I was attending lots of appointments. There is mention of safeguarding concerns,’ says Laura, who has no memory of this time but has not suffered seizures since.

Speaking to family members, Laura has also discovered that her mother’s claim that she had a twin who died in utero was false.

She told the Daily Mail how she and Matthew, now 25, are still coming to terms with their past and how their attempts to reconcile with their mother after her release from prison in 2011 ended in further heartache.

The siblings first decided to speak out by taking part in a three-part Channel 4 documentary, Love You To Death, which aired this week.

They wanted to raise awareness of what it was like to be on the receiving end of what was referred to at Hayden-Johnson’s trial as Munchausen syndrome by proxy but is today called by medics ‘fabricated or induced illness’ (FII). Both terms refer to behaviour where a relative or carer makes up a person’s illness to get attention and win emotional sympathy. The C4 programme also featured their estranged mother.

Partially obscured from the cameras to conceal her identity – and still in pathological denial about her crimes – the now 52-year-old made the astonishing claim that pleading guilty was ‘my biggest mistake’ and she didn’t actually do anything wrong. ‘How can I be Britain’s most evil mother? I just did my best, that’s all I did,’ she says in one jaw-dropping moment. And in another: ‘I never smacked my children. I never did anything like that. I never hurt them in any way.’

Her children do not share her assessment – quite the opposite, in fact.

‘I’ve had a very long time to process everything that happened,’ Laura told the Daily Mail. ‘Now I want people to understand FII from a child’s perspective and how it destroys lives.’

While her brother’s suffering, she says, was heavily talked about, she was given little opportunity to speak about the mental cruelty inflicted on her. Her fondest memories of her childhood are of the time she spent with her father while her mother dedicated herself to Matthew’s ‘care’.

But there were happy mother and daughter shopping trips during which they would try on make-up and spray tester perfumes. She recalls trips to the cinema and outings to the zoo.

‘Apart from the medical stuff we had such a good family and a lovely home,’ she says.

Yet it was the ‘medical stuff’ that took centre stage in their lives after Matthew’s birth, nine weeks prematurely, in 2001.

Placed on a ventilator in a special care baby unit, his mother was lavished with attention by sympathetic staff, friends and relatives, something she was clearly reluctant to give up when he was discharged.

She called out ambulances in the night and told doctors he couldn’t keep his food down.

Over six years Hayden-Johnson, who was born in Croydon and said she had nursing qualifications, managed to bamboozle doctors into performing unnecessary surgical procedures.

They believed her claims that Matthew couldn’t swallow and, when he was four, fitted him with a nasogastric feeding tube. By the time he was six he’d had four invasive operations and nine general anaesthetics. His mother even spiked his urine samples with glucose to support her claim that he had diabetes.

Her lies also proved to be highly lucrative. Aside from thousands raised by local charities, she garnered £130,000 in disability living allowance claims and a car from Motability, as well as gifts and free holidays.

Laura, who was three when Matthew was born, was taught early on that she needed to look after her supposedly sick little brother.

‘From a very young age I was carrying his oxygen tanks up and down the stairs,’ she told the Daily Mail. ‘I think back now to all those times and how I didn’t need to go through any of it because none of it was true.’

Her father was a supermarket manager and his shifts meant that her mother attended the majority of Matthew’s appointments. At the time of the investigation, police said they viewed him as another victim, persuaded by his manipulative wife that she knew what was best for their son.

‘All these things were happening while he was at work so he wouldn’t question it,’ Laura says. ‘He didn’t want to believe that anything was wrong.’ The penny dropped for her, she says, around the age of six when Matthew was in hospital having just had an operation.

‘We were meant to be going on a cruise that had been donated to us, and Matthew and I were really excited. But the doctors said there was no way he could go; he needed to go home and rest.

‘We were both in tears and my mum said: “Look, we are going to go, but when the doctors come back in, keep crying so it looks like we’re not going.”

‘I knew that lying wasn’t right but I loved my mum. I wasn’t old enough to understand that it wasn’t OK and wasn’t normal.’ Hayden-Johnson’s deception was uncovered in 2007, when increasingly suspicious doctors suggested measuring Matthew’s blood sugar levels over three days in hospital. No doubt realising she was about to be rumbled, Hayden- Johnson failed to take her son to the appointment.

She claimed she had been sexually assaulted after stopping her car to help a motorcyclist and faked injuries by cutting herself. When police told her they were about to arrest a man for the crime, she panicked and confessed to making up the story.

After her arrest, officers searching her home described Matthew’s bedroom as ‘like a scene out of TV’s Casualty’. Beside a specialist bed were dozens of boxes of equipment and medication. They found bags of glucose, used to tamper with his blood and urine samples, stashed in a wardrobe. Downstairs they came across photos and videos showing Matthew running along a beach without his wheelchair and tucking into a pub roast dinner.

Having pleaded guilty just before she was due to stand trial, Judge Stephen Wildblood described her behaviour as ‘cruel, manipulative, perverse, disordered and pitiful’.

Laura was 11 when her mother went to jail. ‘Instead of grieving for her I went straight to anger,’ she told the Daily Mail. ‘I felt betrayed. It was a very, very, very difficult time.’

Her father divorced Hayden- Johnson and took Laura and her brother to live in Sheffield, a move which Matthew has described as the moment ‘I feel like my life started’ and which ‘gave me the space to kind of thrive’.

Not so for Laura, who missed her friends in Devon and was bullied at her new school.

She and Matthew wrote to their mother in prison but there was never any acknowledgment in her replies that she had done anything wrong. ‘She would just ask how we were getting on at school or say that she’d stuck the drawings we’d sent her up on her wall,’ says Laura.

When Hayden-Johnson was released 19 months into her 39-month sentence, arrangements were made by Social Services for the children to see her under supervision.

‘I was scared to go into the room,’ recalls Laura, by then 13. ‘I was still very angry. I sat away from her. It was very awkward. I remember her saying she was sorry but I was too young to ask what exactly she was sorry for.’

Over the next three years, one-hour visits in a contact centre evolved into monthly trips out with their mother and a social worker. Laura flipped between hating her mother and longing for her love.

After finishing her GCSEs and struggling badly with depression, Laura was invited by Hayden-Johnson to move in. While her father was unhappy about the development, Laura was 16 and free to make her own decisions. ‘It felt really good to start with,’ she says. ‘She bought me a whole new wardrobe of clothes. She helped me enrol in college. I had my first boyfriend at that time and she was giving me motherly advice. I didn’t think anything bad could come of it.’

Within six months, however, things changed.

Hayden-Johnson started complaining of her own health problems, telling Laura that misdiagnosed diabetes had left her with nerve damage in her hands and feet. She started wearing splints on her arms and getting Laura to take her to physiotherapy sessions.

‘She’d get screws stuck in her foot and they’d pull them out at appointments and she’d say she couldn’t feel them,’ Laura recalls. ‘I don’t know if she was putting them there herself.’

Before long, Laura was pushing her mother around in a wheelchair as if she was her carer.

Laura says Hayden-Johnson also claimed she had a regression disorder which saw her behave like a five-year-old whenever she had what she referred to as one of her ‘blips’.

‘She would be watching Peppa Pig and trying to self-harm and then she would snap out of it. She would go out barefoot in her pyjamas and I’d end up calling the police.’

Eventually Laura could take no more and went to live with her boyfriend. It was then that she ‘saw what a normal family is’.

At that point, she says, her mother’s medical conditions magically disappeared.

Three years ago she cut ties with her mother in a text message she shared with the Daily Mail.

She wrote: ‘I can’t forgive you for what you caused Matthew when he was a child and also what you have done to me in the past and more recently. I appreciate everything you did for me when I came to live with you but that was met with a lot of unnecessary hurt too. I’ve tried to help you but you won’t accept you need help.’

That was abundantly clear from Hayden-Johnson’s appearance on the C4 documentary, during which she appeared to be sitting in a wheelchair. Having married for a second time, she is living under a new name in Devon. She denies ever having FII, saying: ‘I don’t fit that category,’ and adding, ‘I didn’t do that sort of stuff to Matthew.’

Her only admission of wrongdoing is that on one occasion she used her own urine instead of her son’s so she could get him out of hospital. In reality, dozens of tests were tampered with.

Asked if she thought she might benefit from therapy, she smiles and replies: ‘No, I’m happy. I have an amazing life. I’ve married the most amazing guy and I’m really, really happy. Life is very good.’

Laura believes her mother should have got a longer sentence but that she should have spent it in a psychiatric unit where she might have received help.

‘As far as I’m aware she did have some mental health support in prison but the way she talked about it, it was clear it didn’t have any impact on her,’ she says. ‘The crime was addressed but not the issue.’

Indeed, Hayden-Johnson refers to the time she spent behind bars as ‘my holiday’.

A former neighbour in Brixham says that after her release from prison she moved back to the family house with a new partner.

‘You would have thought she would have kept her head down and tried to show some humility but she started partying like there was no tomorrow,’ the neighbour told the Daily Mail.

‘She and her partner were drinking, shouting and playing stupidly loud music all hours of the day. People begged her to keep it down but she wasn’t bothered.’

The house was eventually repossessed and she and her boyfriend moved to Plymouth.

The landlord of another property rented by Hayden-Johnson says he received abusive late night phone calls and threats of physical violence from her and her boyfriend and that bailiffs came looking for her after she left. ‘She is constantly on the move so that people can’t find her,’ he says. ‘She wasn’t a very nice person.’

Today, despite everything she has been through, Laura displays an extraordinary ability to show compassion towards her mother.

‘I’m so angry at her for the past and what she put us through,’ she says. ‘But I still want her to get better and accept she has a problem before she hurts anyone else.’

Airlines often sell more tickets than there are seats on planes as a strategy to make more money, relying on passengers who either miss their flight or cancel at the last minute in order to keep the plane full.

Slamming airline EasyJet, he said: ‘How can I buy a flight that’s sold out? I’m trying to keep calm but it’s proving very difficult.’

In another post, he shared a snap of his unimpressed face as he asked: ‘How can you oversell a flight it baffles me.’

Giving an update to fans shortly afterwards, Casey later told how EasyJet had put out a request to passengers to vacate the flight in exchange for £300 compensation, with Casey noting that he could spot someone who could potentially take up the offer.

The next slide saw an ecstatic Casey yell ‘he’s on! He’s on!’ as he revealed a teacher named Harri gave up her seat for him.

He then shared a snap of himself Face Timing groom Tom as he boarded the flight, with Casey hitting out at EasyJet once again writing: ‘EasyJet nearly f***ed his flight up but the best man’s en route.’

Casey’s stories concluded with him having finally arrived at the wedding destination, with a video showing him sitting in Tom’s hotel room wearing soothing eye patches.

Casey’s travel drama comes weeks after he was left worse for wear after Tom and Molly’s first ceremony took a raucous turn, leaving them ‘stressed’.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Molly and Tom admitted they’ve had a few ‘wobbles’ while dealing with last-minute preparations for their big day.

The pair also shared how their legal wedding concluded with dinner at The Ivy, which ended with guests ‘dancing on tables’, while the best man Casey ended up ‘in a heap on the floor’.

Molly said: ‘It’s got to the stressful part, just because we’re weeks out and only because it’s invoices being sent and all the last bits that you start to panic about and then you start getting people asking you questions, like texting you.

‘So then it starts to get a little bit stressful in that sense. So I have had a little wobble.’

Tom added: ‘We just want it all to be perfect, but like you said, there’s just like little bits, people asking silly questions.

‘It’s not too bad, but just because we want it to go so well and we’ve put time and effort into it. I think we’re just about there. You’ve had a few little meltdowns.’

Agreeing with her partner, Molly said: ‘Tom’s so chilled. Normally you’re super, super chilled, but Tom stress cleans, so I know when you’re stressed because you’ll go upstairs and start hoovering or something like that!’

Luckily the couple are in good stead for the big day itself as their legal ceremony was a ‘really special and intimate’ occasion.

They have spoken openly about the wedding planning process with their followers, but shared they wanted to keep details about their UK-based day under wraps.

After they tied the knot, Molly and Tom shared that they headed to The Ivy for a celebratory dinner with close friends and family, but things ended up being more raucous than they expected.

Molly shared: ‘It started like so calm and classic. And then by the end of it, Casey was in a heap on the floor. We were on the tables dancing. Everyone just went to the Ivy and we just had a private room.’

Tom added: ‘As soon as the door shut, everyone just seemed to go mental!’
