Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid UCL QF 2nd leg live match time and streaming | Football News
The UEFA Champions League returns with a blockbuster encounter as Bayern Munich host Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of their quarter-final clash. The German giants hold a narrow advantage after securing a 2-1 win in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bayern’s victory in Madrid, powered by goals from Luis Diaz and Harry Kane, ended a long winless streak against Real Madrid. However, Kylian Mbappe’s late goal has ensured that the tie remains finely balanced heading into the decisive second leg.
Historically, Bayern Munich have been extremely strong in two-legged ties after winning the first leg away from home, progressing in the vast majority of such scenarios. They also come into this match in excellent domestic form, having registered a dominant 5-0 win over St Pauli, which has further strengthened their position at the top of the Bundesliga standings.
The Allianz Arena has been a fortress for Bayern this season. They have won all their home matches in Europe so far and boast an impressive record in Champions League games on home soil, losing just once in their last 28 outings. Their consistency at home will give them confidence as they aim to reach their first semi-final since their 2019-20 triumph.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, are under pressure after a series of underwhelming performances in La Liga. Recent dropped points against Mallorca and Girona have dented their title hopes, leaving them trailing in the race. The team is also adjusting to life under manager Alvaro Arbeloa, and results have been inconsistent across competitions.
Despite these challenges, Real Madrid’s pedigree in the Champions League cannot be overlooked. The Spanish side have a strong track record against German opposition in knockout ties and have consistently found ways to deliver in high-pressure European matches. They also have a solid recent record at the Allianz Arena, remaining unbeaten in their last few visits.
With Bayern holding a slender lead and Real Madrid known for their resilience in Europe, this second leg promises to be an intense and closely fought battle, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.
Bayern Munich Team News
Bayern Munich will be missing young winger Lennart Karl due to a thigh injury, while goalkeeper Sven Ulreich is also sidelined with a muscle problem. Harry Kane, however, is expected to be available despite experiencing some discomfort after the first leg, which led to him being an unused substitute in the recent match against St Pauli.
Kane has been in strong form against Real Madrid in the Champions League, contributing either a goal or an assist in each of his last four appearances against them. He has already scored 11 goals in this season’s tournament and is just one short of setting a new personal best in the competition.
In attack, Serge Gnabry is likely to return to the starting lineup after recovering from a minor knee issue and could feature alongside Luis Diaz and Michael Olise, with Jamal Musiala potentially dropping out. In midfield, Aleksandar Pavlovic is pushing for a place in the starting XI ahead of Leon Goretzka.
Real Madrid Team News
Real Madrid will be without Thibaut Courtois, who is sidelined with a thigh injury, and Rodrygo, who remains out with an ACL problem. In addition, Aurelien Tchouameni is suspended after picking up his third booking of the tournament in the first leg, ruling him out of Wednesday’s clash.
Kylian Mbappe, who leads the Champions League scoring charts this season with 14 goals in 10 matches and is closing in on the single-season record of 17, is also a slight doubt after suffering a facial injury against Girona. If he is cleared to play, he is expected to feature in attack alongside Vinicius Junior, with Arda Guler or Brahim Diaz competing for the remaining forward spot, while Gonzalo Garcia remains an option to lead the line.
In midfield, Real Madrid may turn to Eduardo Camavinga or youngster Thiago Pitarch Pinar to partner Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham in Tchouameni’s absence. Defensively, a reshuffle is likely, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Antonio Rudiger, Dean Huijsen, and Alvaro Carreras all in contention to return to the starting XI.
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid probable starting eleven:
Bayern Munich starting 11: Neuer; Laimer, Upamecano, Tah, Stanisic; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Gnabry, Diaz; Kane
Real Madrid starting 11: Lunin; Alexander-Arnold, Rudiger, Huijsen, Carreras; Valverde, Camavinga, Bellingham; Guler; Mbappe, Vinicius Jr

Will Rohit Sharma play next IPL game? Mumbai Indians share injury update | Cricket News
MUMBAI: In a big blow to the Mumbai Indians, already reeling after three straight defeats, their former captain and star opener Rohit Sharma is set to miss the team’s fifth match of IPL 2026 against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium due to a recurrence of a hamstring injury, TOI has learnt.Rohit sustained the injury during Mumbai Indians’ previous clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the same venue. Providing an update ahead of the pre-match press conference, addressed by Naman Dhir, an MI spokesperson said, “The medical staff is assessing him. An official update will be given when available.” During the team’s training session later in the evening, Rohit was seen jogging at the Wankhede Stadium.
The MI spokesperson also confirmed that England allrounder Will Jacks, who has not featured in the IPL so far, “is on his way and will join the team soon.”Rohit picked up the injury during the second innings against RCB and retired hurt in the sixth over of the chase. MI went on to lose the match, their third defeat in four games this season. He walked off after scoring 19 off 13 balls, with two fours and a six, following a lengthy on-field treatment by the team physio before a delivery by Rasikh Salam.Teammate Sherfane Rutherford said after the game, “I’m not entirely sure yet – perhaps it’s a bit of a hamstring issue – but I can’t say for certain. I was in the dugout, so I don’t have much information on it.”Rohit, who recently completed 15 years with MI, has scored 137 runs in four matches, including a half-century. However, the 38-year-old has had a history of hamstring issues, having missed games in IPL 2020 and parts of the 2016-17 season due to similar injuries.

‘There’s a lot of excitement’: Vancouver mayor Ken Sim explains desire for MLB expansion bid
Could now be the perfect time to add another Major League Baseball franchise north of the border? Vancouver mayor Ken Sim seems to think so.
A day after announcing the intention to bring a motion to city council aiming to bring an MLB team to Vancouver, Sim joined Sportsnet’s Blair & Barker to discuss why the time is right and why the city is right.
“I can tell you, our council, the councillors in my party are very excited about it,” Sim said. “But there is a lot of excitement.
“You look at what happened last year with the magical run that the Jays had, you could tell there’s a huge appetite (for baseball) right across this country, and specifically in Vancouver,” Sim said, referring to the popularity of the Toronto Blue Jays and baseball as a whole in the city, particularly during the team’s run to the World Series last year.
“Vancouver’s right, and we want to make that when this opportunity comes up, we’re not flat-footed. We’re being proactive as a city council to make sure that … we have our ducks in a row. That we’re not the bottleneck that stops a team from coming to Vancouver.
Sim is set to put forth the motion on April 22, and although MLB hasn’t clearly expressed that expansion is in the works, the mayor says the intention for the time being is to make sure the city is prepared for when it is.
Commissioner Rob Manfred has mentioned that he would like to grow the league to 32 teams, saying in January that “I would like to expand. I think 32 would be good for (MLB),” and that he would like to set the wheels in motion before his term ends in January 2029, when he has made it clear he will retire.
“I truly believe in being proactive. These are short windows, and at the end of the day, one of the big reasons why we have to wrap this up as a city is we have to show Major League Baseball that Vancouver is a credible location and the city’s on board,” Sim said. “This is part of keeping it on the commissioner’s timeline.”
Although he’s taken only the first few steps toward possible expansion to the city, Sim believes that, should the motion go through, Vancouver would stand a good chance at locking down a team because of its unique geography.
“We’re the gateway to Asia, and so we could actually be quite strategic for Major League Baseball as they’re looking at expanding in other markets digitally,” he said. “We’re unique in Vancouver. (We have) a lot of (things) the other cities that are looking for expansion teams just don’t have.”
Additionally, Manfred said in an interview with Sportsnet in October that “another city in Canada clearly could work for us,” when he was asked about the possibility of expansion to Vancouver.
Before anything concrete comes together, however, a few key details will have to be hammered out. For one, Sim said that no location for a potential new stadium has been decided and that he’s “leaving it up to the bidders.”
“Any party that puts in an expression of interest — show us where they want the location and show us how they’re going to fund it, and show us why it’s gonna be great to not only win the bid, but also why it would be great for the residents of Vancouver and the region and Western Canada,” Sim said.
Sim made it clear that the city won’t allocate public funding in the form of subsidies or tax breaks, and will instead put that in the hands of any interested parties. Rather, he hopes that putting the motion forward will give potential bidders the opportunity to “put their name in the hat and show us why they should be the partner,” in an effort to show MLB that both the city and the interested party are working in tandem, should the window for expansion open.
“We’re looking for parties to show us where they’re at right now, where their interest lies, and how they’re gonna do it,” Sim said. “And then, from there, we can start fleshing this out and have a credible bid presented in front of Major League Baseball.”

Ekitike Ruled Out of World Cup After Serious Injury in PSG Defeat
France manager Didier Deschamps has confirmed that striker Hugo Ekitike will miss the World Cup after suffering a suspected Achilles injury during Liverpool FC’s Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old forward was taken off on a stretcher at Anfield, raising fears of a long-term absence that could also affect the start of next season.
Ekitike underwent scans on Wednesday to determine the full extent of the injury.
Deschamps confirmed the setback in a statement released by the French Football Federation.
“Hugo suffered a serious injury on Tuesday evening against PSG. The severity of his injury will unfortunately prevent him from finishing the season with Liverpool and participating in the World Cup,” he said.
“Hugo is one of the dozen young players who have made their debuts with the national team in recent months. He had perfectly integrated into the group, both on the pitch and off it. This injury is a huge blow for him, of course, but also for the France team.
“His disappointment is immense. Hugo will regain his top form, I’m convinced of it. But I wanted to express all my support to him, as well as that of the entire staff. We know he’ll be fully behind the France team, and we’re all thinking of him very strongly.”
Ekitike joined Liverpool from Eintracht Frankfurt last July and has impressed in his debut season, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists in all competitions.
Speaking after the defeat, Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted the injury looked serious.
“I think we could all see that it didn’t look well and didn’t look good. Let’s wait and see what it will be. But we could all see it didn’t look good,” he said.
“In the second half, he went home so I haven’t seen him yet. Losing a game is already very hard, especially in the way we lost it, but again – as it seems to be – losing a player is something we’ve had so many times this season.
“It’s especially very hard for him because you never want to be injured, especially not at this moment of time in the season.”
Earlier this year, Ekitike became only the second player after Kenny Dalglish to score in five different competitions in his debut season for Liverpool.
He made his France debut last September and was expected to be part of Deschamps’ squad for this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Liverpool have also been hit by several other injuries this season. Defender Giovanni Leoni and full-back Conor Bradley are ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker and midfielder Wataru Endo remain sidelined, while striker Alexander Isak has only recently returned from an ankle injury suffered in December.

IPL 2026: Kohli powers RCB to top as Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar wreck LSG batters | Cricket News
BENGALURU: The early phase of IPL has largely belonged to emerging talent and young turks. But the midweek fixture at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here was different. It turned out to be a vintage Wednesday. Two experienced exponents of the sport from Royal Challengers Bengaluru came out to show Lucknow Super Giants how the job is done.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!Two seasoned campaigners led the charge. The 36-year-old Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/27) set the tone with a masterclass in swing bowling, exploiting movement early before nailing his yorkers at the death. At the other end, 35-year-old Josh Hazlewood (1/20) was relentless, operating on probing lengths that proved difficult to read. On a spongy surface, RCB’s pacers — with Rasikh Dar (4/24) joining the party — used the short ball to unsettle the opposition before bundling LSG out for a modest 146.
Chasing a below-par target, RCB did flirt with a wobble but eventually sealed a five-wicket win in 15.1 overs, maintaining their unbeaten run at home this season.Phil Salt fell early, but Virat Kohli, coming in as an Impact Player for Suyash Sharma, quickly found his rhythm. Consecutive boundaries off Mohammed Shami showcased his trademark wristwork and timing. Kohli raced to 34 off his first 14 deliveries, putting the chase firmly on track. However, disciplined bowling from Avesh Khan, coupled with wickets at the other end, slowed the tempo. Kohli was denied a half-century, falling for 49 (34b; 6×4, 1×6), caught by Nicholas Pooran at long-on. But the others ensured the job was done with plenty to spare.

Earlier, LSG’s sluggish start to the IPL season showed little sign of improvement as their batting unit faltered again. On the eve of the clash, the franchise’s global cricket director, Tom Moody, had hoped the venue’s run-friendly reputation would act as a tonic. Instead, LSG’s struggles deepened.RCB’s tactic of using short-pitched deliveries effectively unsettled the batters. Hazlewood brought control at the top, Bhuvneshwar was incisive, and Rasikh starred with clever variations that left batters guessing.LSG never quite recovered after an early setback. Aiden Markram fell in the fourth over, miscuing a full toss from Rasikh to Devdutt Padikkal at covers. From there, it became a slow-paced procession. The batters struggled to gauge the pace of the wicket, often committing too early. RCB tightened the screws with 15 dot balls in the Powerplay, setting the tone for the collapse.Pooran’s lean run continued as he fell to Hazlewood, dragging a short ball back onto his stumps while attempting a pull. Mitchell Marsh (40; 32b; 3×4, 2×6) and Ayush Badoni (38) offered brief resistance, stitching together a 36-run stand to steady the innings. But Krunal Pandya (2/38) broke through, deceiving Marsh with a quicker delivery that crashed into the stumps before removing Abdul Samad in his next over.Mukul Choudhary’s 39 added some late respectability, but the innings never gained real momentum.
INJURY SCARE FOR RISHABH PANT
Rishabh Pant’s difficult outing was compounded by an injury scare. He was first beaten outside off by Hazlewood before being struck on the right abdomen by a rising short ball. Attempting to counterattack, he then inside-edged onto his left elbow, leaving him in visible discomfort. After receiving treatment, Pant walked off, only to return in the 16th over with LSG in trouble at 118/5. Still not fully at ease, the LSG skipper struggled for timing and was eventually dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar after facing just three deliveries.

Maguire Hit With Extra Ban as Man United Face Defensive Crisis Ahead of Chelsea Clash
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire will miss Saturday’s Premier League trip to Chelsea FC after receiving an extra one-match ban for his red card against AFC Bournemouth last month.
The 33-year-old England international was sent off in the 78th minute of the 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium after pulling down Evanilson in the penalty area, which also led to a spot-kick.
After the match, the Football Association charged Maguire with improper conduct over comments he made to fourth official Matt Donohue while leaving the pitch.
In addition to his suspension, Maguire has been fined £30,000. The FA said he “acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the fourth official following his dismissal”.
According to the written report, Donohue stated that Maguire approached him and shouted: “You’re a joke. You’re all a ******* joke” as he walked off.
Maguire denied directing the words at the official. He said: “As I left the field of play following my dismissal I said something along the lines of ‘it is a ******** joke’. I am certain that I did not call the fourth official or any match official, a joke or use any other form of insult.”
However, the defender admitted his behaviour was inappropriate and apologised.
The regulatory commission considered giving him a two-match ban but decided on one extra game, taking into account mitigating factors, including his acceptance of the charge.
Manchester United will also be without Lisandro Martinez for the trip to Stamford Bridge after he was sent off for violent conduct in the 2-1 defeat to Leeds United on Monday, where he was penalised for pulling Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s hair.
Manager Michael Carrick described the decision as “one of the worst” he has seen and hinted that the club could appeal.
Defender Matthijs de Ligt is also expected to miss the game due to a long-term back injury.
With these absences, Carrick may have to rely on young defenders Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro as his only recognised centre-backs.
Manchester United are currently third in the Premier League, level on points with Aston Villa and three points ahead of Liverpool FC in fifth, with six matches remaining.
A win for Chelsea would reduce the gap to four points and put United’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League under serious pressure.

Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday. It was the defending champions’ fourth win in five games, taking them to 8 points and pushing them ahead of Rajasthan Royals on net run rate in a tightly packed early-season race.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. Rajasthan Royals remain close behind with +0.889, keeping the race for the top spot wide open after just over two weeks of action.
For Lucknow Super Giants, the defeat — already their third in five matches — meant they remain stuck at seventh place, unchanged from where they started the day. However, the loss further dented their campaign as their net run rate slipped to -0.804, putting additional pressure on their inconsistent start.Punjab Kings remain the only unbeaten side in the competition so far, sitting third with 7 points from four matches, including three wins and one rain-affected no result. Their steady form has kept them firmly in contention at the top end of the table. The middle table remains tightly congested, with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings all locked on four points each. SRH currently sit fourth due to a superior net run rate, while DC, GT, LSG and CSK follow in that order based on marginal differences in their standings.Mumbai Indians occupy ninth place with just one win from four matches, collecting two points so far. At the bottom of the table are Kolkata Knight Riders, the only winless side this season, with a solitary point coming from a washed-out contest against Punjab Kings.

No. 1 UCLA baseball’s 27-game win streak comes to an end
The No. 1 UCLA baseball’s 27-game win streak came to an end as they were shutout against UC Santa Barbara at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Tuesday.
It was just the third loss of the season for the Bruins with the previous two coming against UC San Diego and San Diego State. UCLA’s batters were alive in their series sweep against Rutgers, but the Gauchos pitching staff proved much stingier with five hits allowed, while throwing two walks and nine strikeouts.
Missed opportunity
UCLA had the bases loaded in the bottom of the first, but was unable to get a runner to cross home plate. Despite the Bruins getting four runners on base, UCLA got only one hit. The rest of the base runners came from a pair of walks and a hit by pitch.
First score
In the top of the third, the Gauchos dialed in on freshman right-handed pitcher Angel Cervantes’ throws to get three hits and score two runs for the first runs of the game.
No chance
UCLA’s regained their footing in the next two innings by allowing one hit and no runs to give their batters a chance. However, the Bruins remained stifled at bat with no hits or base runners in the fourth or fifth to keep UC Santa Barbara with a two-run lead.

Holding out hope
In the bottom of the sixth, UCLA had their second hit of the game and first base runner since the third. However, it led to no runs. With the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, the Bruins were able to clean things up though and junior right-handed pitcher Cal Randall struck out the final two batters swinging. The offense wasn’t able to repay the favor though with another scoreless inning in the bottom of the seventh, despite the bases being loaded.
That’s a wrap
UC Santa Barbara added two more runs in the top of the eighth with three hits leading to another two-run inning. UCLA had a hit of their own in the bottom of the eighth, but couldn’t conjure up more offensive to get their runner home. The Bruins would end the game being shutout after another scoreless inning in the ninth for their first loss since Feb. 24.

The Bruins will have an opportunity to get back on track and keep the conference record clean on Friday against Minnesota at Jackie Robinson Stadium with an anticipated start time of 2 p.m. PT.

Best home run picks for Wednesday, April 15
Ryan O’Hearn, Pirates (+700)
Washington’s Jake Irvin has allowed one home run in each of his first three starts. Two of those three have come to the lefties, favoring Pittsburgh’s Ryan O’Hearn. Of the 36 homers Irvin allowed last year, 26 came to left-handed hitters. O’Hearn has three dingers on the season, with two of them coming off right-handers. He’s also slugging .538 against righties thus far and owns a 44.3% hard-hit rate against Irvin in his career. The weather in Pittsburgh is calling for the wind to be blowing out 10+ mph with wind gusts potentially reaching 22 mph, giving hitters like O’Hearn a potential boost when they get the ball in the air.
Place MLB player prop bets, including O’Hearn to homer on Wednesday, with the Caesars Sportsbook promo code.
Ben Rice, Yankees (+242)
Rice is facing Angels right-handed starter Jack Kochanowicz, and the wind is blowing out at 10.3 mph at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday. Rice has a 25% barrel rate. 80% hard-hit rate and an average exit velocity of 99.1 mph over the last two weeks. He also excels against right-handers with a 43.5% fly ball rate, .389 batting average, a 26.5% walk rate and a 26.5% strikeout rate. Kochanowicz has yet to give up a home run this season, but he has struggled with control and limiting walks.

Team News, Stats, Betting Odds Shift & Prediction
Connacht Rugby travel to South Africa to face the DHL Stormers in a URC clash that has shifted significantly following squad announcements and major betting movement.
The handicap has moved from Stormers -16.5 to -20.5, reflecting just how weakened this Connacht side is for the trip.
Connacht Squad: Key Absentees and New Look Side
Connacht are without Bundee Aki, Finlay Bealham, Mack Hansen and out-half Josh Ioane — a huge loss of experience, leadership and attacking threat.
That puts serious pressure on a much-changed squad:
Backs
- Scrum Halves: Ben Murphy, Colm Reilly, Matthew Devine
- Out Halves: Jack Carty, Sean Naughton
- Centres: Cathal Forde, Hugh Gavin, John Devine
- Back Three: Harry West, Sam Gilbert, Shane Jennings, Shayne Bolton
Forwards
- Props: Billy Bohan, Fiachna Barrett, Jack Aungier, Peter Dooley, Sam Illo
- Hookers: Dave Heffernan, Dylan Tierney-Martin, Matthew Victory
- Locks: Darragh Murray, David O’Connor, Joe Joyce, Niall Murray
- Back Row: Cian Prendergast, Josh Murphy, Paul Boyle, Sean Jansen, Shamus Hurley-Langton
This is a squad with talent, but it lacks the spine and cohesion of Connacht’s first-choice XV.
Stormers Strengths
The Stormers bring serious firepower into this game:
- Evan Roos – 9 tries this season
- Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu – 89 points
- Jurie Matthee – 78 points
They combine physical dominance with attacking pace — exactly the kind of team that punishes weakened touring sides.
Why the Betting Line Moved
The shift from -16.5 to -20.5 isn’t random — it’s reaction to:
- Loss of Connacht’s international core
- Travel factor to South Africa
- Reduced control at 10 without Ioane
- Less strike threat without Hansen and Aki
This is what sharp money looks like — reacting early to information.
Betting Analysis
At -20.5, you’re no longer getting early value.
But stylistically, this is still a mismatch:
- Stormers dominate collisions
- Connacht lack game control
- Depth drop-off is significant
Connacht’s best chance is chaos — quick tempo, broken play — but South African conditions rarely allow that.
Prediction
This has all the signs of a long night for Connacht.
They still have quality players like Carty, Prendergast, and Jansen, but the overall drop in experience is too big.
Prediction: Stormers to win comfortably
- Main Bet: Stormers -20.5
- Alternative: Stormers winning margin 21+
Correct Score Prediction: Stormers 40–15 Connacht
Verdict: The market has reacted correctly, but probably still not enough. This Connacht side is a level below what they’ve been fielding in recent weeks, and against a strong Stormers outfit away from home, that usually ends one way.
