Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka made quite the impression on the NFL stage in his rookie year in 2025.
But the Ohio State product doesn’t just think it’s his purpose to help his team reach its Super Bowl goals — preaching his faith is high on his priority list as well.
Like many in the NFL, Egbuka uses his platform on the professional level to share his Christian faith, something he said he found five years ago at a point in his life where he needed it.

Today, if you go to his Instagram page, you’ll see his name is “Christ Follower,” and he explained to Fox News Digital how his faith drives him on and off the field.
“To put it simply, it’s such a big part of my life because of what Jesus has done in my life, and I know that he offers the same for every single person,” Egbuka said over Zoom after helping USAA with its “Huddle UP For Hurricane Prep” by building disaster kits and educating his fellow Tampa Bay citizens about hurricane safeguarding.
“He kinda met me where I was five years ago now, which seems crazy to say. I’ve been walking with Him ever since.
Five years ago, Egbuka was just a freshman at Ohio State, hoping to make an impact for the Buckeyes. As he continued to grow across three more years of college football, he ended up helping the Buckeyes win a national championship during the 2024 season.
At the same time, he said he started to find “peace” and “joy” with his faith and God, which he feels still today.
“The sense of identity that I have that I didn’t have before. There’s a lot of things in my life and a lot of ways I was battling mentally that He pulled me out of,” Egbuka explained. “That’s stuff that goes unnoticed. That’s stuff behind the curtains that people don’t see every day because we put on these masks, put on these faces [and] facades.

“But deep down, everybody deals with stuff. It’s life. It’s tries all of us. There’s trials and tribulations that come every single day, and we can do our best to stand true and hold strong. At the end of the day, we’re human. We can only do so much to hold ourselves up when it comes to a point we make it to the end of ourselves – that’s where I was when God met me.
“Just being able to preach about Him, use my platform to spread the Gospel. Just the hope that there is in Jesus is what I feel my purpose is.”
Entering the NFL community, Egbuka noticed others like Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins and many more sharing their faith as well.

“I think it’s a blessing and privilege that we have to be able to be so open,” Egbuka added. “Obviously, it didn’t always be like that, but even nowadays in different countries, you can be murdered and killed for professing your faith and everything like that. We’re just in a society and culture that we’re able to share that openly without any hostility or backlash at us. I think it’s a huge privilege we have to be able to share our platform and use it to spread the Gospel.”
Another way Egbuka uses his platform is impacting his community like he did on Tuesday at the USAA Tampa Office, where he focused some of his offseason efforts on bringing awareness to hurricane preparation for an area susceptible to such natural disasters.

“This isn’t my first time working with USAA, so I’m glad to be partnering with them again,” he said. “Just such a great staff and everybody who works here. They’ve been so hospitable to me and my team, and obviously it hits close to home. I have a grandfather who was a Navy SEAL, father who was an active duty soldier for a while and now works at the Department of Defense as a civil engineer. Definitely been surrounded by the military my entire life.

“Some of the disaster kits we made today, they have the whistles, the safety blankets – anything you might need when a disaster strikes. That’s what we were focused on doing today. There’s nothing we can do to prevent a hurricane from happening. Obviously, staying on top of the weather and paying attention to the alerts and everything like that. I know my house came with hurricane shutters and everything to stay on top of that. Really just trying to do our best to be proactive with it, and I think those kits we made today will go a long way.”

Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the Italian Open due to a post-viral illness.
Raducanu took part in media obligations before later deciding to pull out of the tournament. She has not yet played a match on clay this season, with her last appearance coming at Indian Wells.
The British star rose to global attention in 2021 when she won the US Open at just 18 years old. She made history by becoming the first qualifier ever to win a Grand Slam singles title, doing so without dropping a set throughout the tournament.

Since that breakthrough, Raducanu has dealt with several injury setbacks, like wrist and ankle problems that has forced her to spend long periods away from competition.
Fans will now hope to see her back in action soon, ahead of the clay-court season and the French Open.

“Having played almost a decade at this level, I have some experience to share with my teammates as a senior player. At the end of the day, it’s about keeping things simple, no matter what the situation is,” Pandya said on JioStar’s ‘Superstars’ episode.
In IPL 2026, Pandya has picked nine wickets in as many games at an average of 26.55 and economy rate of 8.85 in IPL 2026, while amassing 40 runs with the bat. Pandya also revealed that his preparation for matches stems from the life lessons he’s experienced so far.
“A lot depends on how you have lived your life. Most of us come from humble backgrounds. Sometimes life teaches you more than anything else. I am no different. But over time, I have always prepared myself for the toughest situations.

“Every cricketer wants to do well and be the hero when he steps on the field. I feel that when the stakes are high, when things are not going your way, or it is a do-or-die situation, that brings out something special in me.
“A lot of that comes from how I prepare. I tell myself that if I am working hard, it’s not for an easy game. Every game is tough. But I want to prepare for a situation where everything is stacked against me and then see how I can still perform,” he added.

It’s the only option,” he said in a post while sharing a GoFundMe link. “If there’s one lesson to be learned, get checked and don’t be afraid to visit the doctors’ office when you don’t feel 100%.
“We got this and I appreciate all yall!”
Garcia has raised more than $116,000.
The GoFundMe page said Garcia was taking the “most aggressive” path to treat the disease.

Norwich City Women have parted ways with head coach Andy Cook just days after the club secured promotion to the third tier of the National League.
Cook and assistant coach Ethan Scott were dismissed following Norwich’s play-off victory over Moneyfields at the Pirelli Stadium.
The decision surprised many supporters, especially after Cook had spoken positively about the club’s future after promotion.

“Promotion is unbelievable,” Cook said after Sunday’s win. “We’ve got to make sure we are ready for tier three because it’s a ruthless league.”
Norwich head of women’s football Flo Allen described the decision as “incredibly difficult” but said the club believes changes are needed moving forward.
“We have taken stock of what we believe is required to move our programme forward and to ensure that we not only sustain tier three status, but remain competitive on the pitch moving forward,” Allen said.

Fans reacted with shock on social media, with many questioning the timing of the decision after promotion had just been achieved.
One supporter wrote: “Achieve your objective and get the sack?! How does that work?!”
Another described the move as a “bizarre decision” given Cook’s experience at that level.
Norwich will now begin the search for a new head coach and assistant coach ahead of next season.

But he hasn’t realised when to get off this horse, now that he’s retired, that’s why he is confronting Virat Kohli: over-aggressiveness and an alpha-male kind of personality from Delhi,” Wassan claimed.The former India cricketer also alleged that not everyone inside the Indian dressing room is comfortable with Gambhir’s strict approach.“I am sure that all the players cannot be in a very happy place. Somebody will be sleeping on needles. This happens, personal likes and dislikes, and that too with such a strong personality. With personal likes and dislikes, and leading them with a stick, if you keep on winning, then it’s fine. But if you lose, then you need to listen to criticism,” he said.Although Wassan hinted that some Indian players are unhappy with the current environment, he refused to reveal any names publicly.“I know one or two of them; they won’t say it openly. I can’t say their names in this show. Everyone knows what’s happening. But after sidelining those players, if you win, then it’s your world. It’s a team sport; nobody will listen to the player. If the coach wins even after all this, then the coach is right, and the player is wrong,” Wassan concluded.

Perks can be obtained as Mission rewards, drops from high-difficulty battles, shop purchases, and through crafting. You will naturally acquire a variety of Perks through regular gameplay as you continue to clear the content available in the game. Mission and battle clears are not efficient for getting the best Perks, as the drop rates for good options are quite low.
You can view a random selection of Perks in the in-game Market, available through Shards, Gold, and other limited-time currencies. The shop resets once every few hours, incentivizing frequently checking the Perks section of the Market.

As for Perk crafting, you can sacrifice low-tier options at the Crafting menu. The rarity of the Perks sacrificed contribute to that of the crafted Perk, meaning low-rarity Perks are unlikely to create a high-rarity Perk. In addition to Perks being the required component for crafting a Perk, you need Gold as well, the cost of which is proportional to the crafted Perk’s rarity.
Once you craft a Perk, it will be at level 0, and it can be enhanced up to level 10 using Gold, EXP, and other Perks. Leveling a Perk directly impacts its potency, improving its overall effects and making it more suitable for practical usage.
