Norwich City Women have parted ways with head coach Andy Cook just days after the club secured promotion to the third tier of the National League.
Cook and assistant coach Ethan Scott were dismissed following Norwich’s play-off victory over Moneyfields at the Pirelli Stadium.
The decision surprised many supporters, especially after Cook had spoken positively about the club’s future after promotion.

“Promotion is unbelievable,” Cook said after Sunday’s win. “We’ve got to make sure we are ready for tier three because it’s a ruthless league.”
Norwich head of women’s football Flo Allen described the decision as “incredibly difficult” but said the club believes changes are needed moving forward.
“We have taken stock of what we believe is required to move our programme forward and to ensure that we not only sustain tier three status, but remain competitive on the pitch moving forward,” Allen said.

Fans reacted with shock on social media, with many questioning the timing of the decision after promotion had just been achieved.
One supporter wrote: “Achieve your objective and get the sack?! How does that work?!”
Another described the move as a “bizarre decision” given Cook’s experience at that level.
Norwich will now begin the search for a new head coach and assistant coach ahead of next season.
Former South Carolina Gamecocks star quarterback Stephen Garcia revealed heartbreaking news on Wednesday that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer.
Garcia, 38, made the announcement in a post on Facebook.

“Wasn’t overly excited to share this news but it is what it is. We have a great team of doctors and staff that’s confident we can beat this! It’s the only option,” he said in a post while sharing a GoFundMe link. “If there’s one lesson to be learned, get checked and don’t be afraid to visit the doctors’ office when you don’t feel 100%.
“We got this and I appreciate all yall!”
Garcia has raised more than $116,000.
The GoFundMe page said Garcia was taking the “most aggressive” path to treat the disease.

“Stephen is beginning chemotherapy today,” the page read. “His medical team is starting him on FOLFIRINOX, which confirms they are taking the most aggressive treatment path available to fight this.

“Following these initial rounds, he will be meeting with specialized liver and colon surgeons to determine the next steps in his treatment plan. Stephen’s entire focus is now dedicated to one thing: fighting this disease with everything he has.”
Rectal cancer deaths are rising at a significantly faster rate than colon cancer among younger Americans, a trend that researchers warn will continue to escalate without a shift in treatment, according to a study presented this year.

Mortality rates for rectal cancer are growing two to three times faster than those for colon cancer among adults aged 20 to 44, according to a study to be presented at Digestive Disease Week 2026 in Chicago. The data suggested that for older millennials, specifically those between the ages of 35 and 44, rectal cancer mortality is projected to escalate through 2035.

Yuzvendra Chahal seen vaping in flight to Hyderabad (Image: Screengrab/X)
Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal may have successfully played the internet after a viral clip from a team travel vlog appeared to show him vaping inside a flight while travelling with the squad to Hyderabad for PBKS’ IPL 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The footage surfaced from one of pacer Arshdeep Singh’s behind-the-scenes travel vlogs on YouTube. In the now-viral segment, Chahal, seated by the window alongside teammate Shashank Singh, appears to hide something in his hand, mimic a vaping gesture, with a small puff of smoke appearing before he coughs – instantly triggering outrage online amid the recent Riyan Parag vaping controversy.

However, while social media initially took the bait and slammed Chahal for allegedly vaping onboard, several eagle-eyed users pointed out that the spinner seemed to be holding some kind of spray or mist device in his hand rather than an actual vape.Interestingly, the original upload reportedly contained the full sequence, but the version currently live on Arshdeep’s YouTube channel no longer includes the moment in question. A clipped recording of the incident, however, continues to circulate widely across social media platforms. The episode has now sparked debate online, with many wondering whether Chahal was genuinely vaping or simply pulling off a prank-style dig at the ongoing discourse surrounding cricketers and vaping.Earlier too, Chahal had gone viral in an unrelated clip that allegedly showed him smoking while driving a luxury vehicle. However, The Times of India could not independently verify the authenticity of that footage. The latest buzz also contrasts sharply with Chahal’s recent comments about adopting a stricter lifestyle. Speaking on former teammate AB de Villiers’ YouTube channel ahead of IPL 2026, the 35-year-old had revealed that he quit alcohol more than six months ago in a bid to improve fitness and manage injuries better.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka made quite the impression on the NFL stage in his rookie year in 2025.
But the Ohio State product doesn’t just think it’s his purpose to help his team reach its Super Bowl goals — preaching his faith is high on his priority list as well.
Like many in the NFL, Egbuka uses his platform on the professional level to share his Christian faith, something he said he found five years ago at a point in his life where he needed it.

Today, if you go to his Instagram page, you’ll see his name is “Christ Follower,” and he explained to Fox News Digital how his faith drives him on and off the field.
“To put it simply, it’s such a big part of my life because of what Jesus has done in my life, and I know that he offers the same for every single person,” Egbuka said over Zoom after helping USAA with its “Huddle UP For Hurricane Prep” by building disaster kits and educating his fellow Tampa Bay citizens about hurricane safeguarding.
“He kinda met me where I was five years ago now, which seems crazy to say. I’ve been walking with Him ever since.
Five years ago, Egbuka was just a freshman at Ohio State, hoping to make an impact for the Buckeyes. As he continued to grow across three more years of college football, he ended up helping the Buckeyes win a national championship during the 2024 season.
At the same time, he said he started to find “peace” and “joy” with his faith and God, which he feels still today.
“The sense of identity that I have that I didn’t have before. There’s a lot of things in my life and a lot of ways I was battling mentally that He pulled me out of,” Egbuka explained. “That’s stuff that goes unnoticed. That’s stuff behind the curtains that people don’t see every day because we put on these masks, put on these faces [and] facades.

“But deep down, everybody deals with stuff. It’s life. It’s tries all of us. There’s trials and tribulations that come every single day, and we can do our best to stand true and hold strong. At the end of the day, we’re human. We can only do so much to hold ourselves up when it comes to a point we make it to the end of ourselves – that’s where I was when God met me.
“Just being able to preach about Him, use my platform to spread the Gospel. Just the hope that there is in Jesus is what I feel my purpose is.”
Entering the NFL community, Egbuka noticed others like Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins and many more sharing their faith as well.
“I think it’s a blessing and privilege that we have to be able to be so open,” Egbuka added. “Obviously, it didn’t always be like that, but even nowadays in different countries, you can be murdered and killed for professing your faith and everything like that. We’re just in a society and culture that we’re able to share that openly without any hostility or backlash at us. I think it’s a huge privilege we have to be able to share our platform and use it to spread the Gospel.”
Another way Egbuka uses his platform is impacting his community like he did on Tuesday at the USAA Tampa Office, where he focused some of his offseason efforts on bringing awareness to hurricane preparation for an area susceptible to such natural disasters.

“This isn’t my first time working with USAA, so I’m glad to be partnering with them again,” he said. “Just such a great staff and everybody who works here. They’ve been so hospitable to me and my team, and obviously it hits close to home. I have a grandfather who was a Navy SEAL, father who was an active duty soldier for a while and now works at the Department of Defense as a civil engineer. Definitely been surrounded by the military my entire life.

“Some of the disaster kits we made today, they have the whistles, the safety blankets – anything you might need when a disaster strikes. That’s what we were focused on doing today. There’s nothing we can do to prevent a hurricane from happening. Obviously, staying on top of the weather and paying attention to the alerts and everything like that. I know my house came with hurricane shutters and everything to stay on top of that. Really just trying to do our best to be proactive with it, and I think those kits we made today will go a long way.”
Tea Brewing is a mechanic in Bridger Western that can be used to apply a variety of passive stat bonuses to your avatar. This mechanic involves interacting with kettles in campsites and using the leaves collected from the game world to brew tea. The bonuses you receive depend on the leaves used in the brewing process, ranging from simple damage increases to HP restoration and regeneration.
This guide provides you with a complete overview of the Tea Brewing system in Bridger Western.

The purpose of Tea Brewing is to give you access to craftable consumables. You can craft a variety of teas, each of which applies a unique buff effect for a limited duration. In addition to these passive effects, the tea you brew can synergize with the Tea Time and FAUX: Tea Time Cards as well, enhancing their respective effects.

To brew tea, you can venture out into the open world and look for campsites. These campsites include kettles, interacting with which gives you the brewing option. Equip an eligible plant from your inventory to start the brewing process and boil it in the kettle. Once boiled, interact with the kettle to store tea as a consumable item.
As of Update 1.7, the game features five types of tea leaves, the effects of which are listed below:
Deerheart Root: Brews Invigorating Tea. Minor HP restoration and slight HP regeneration.
Deerheart Root, Hawkeye Herb, and Turtleshell Stem can be found in the grassy areas, while the Reservoir Root and Hellfire Sprout are found in the desert. To pick one up, approach the plant and interact with it to store it in your inventory. Note that you may also dig up Dogbane Herb upon doing so, which cannot be brewed into a tea. Instead, it can be given to the Mud Witch for various useful effects.

Despite enjoying major success as both an international cricketer and head coach, Gautam Gambhir has come under sharp criticism from former India cricketer Atul Wassan, who accused him of being a “bully” within team environments.Gambhir took over as head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team on July 10, 2024, replacing Rahul Dravid. His tenure so far has delivered contrasting results. Under his leadership, India achieved historic dominance in white-ball cricket by becoming the first team to simultaneously hold the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and Asia Cup 2025 titles. However, India’s Test performances have declined sharply during the same period. The team suffered rare home series whitewashes against the New Zealand national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team, while also losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to the Australia national cricket team for the first time in a decade.Despite the setbacks in red-ball cricket, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is reportedly backing Gambhir long-term, with discussions of extending his contract beyond the 2027 ODI World Cup and potentially through the 2028 T20 World Cup and Los Angeles Olympics.Speaking in an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Wassan launched a scathing assessment of Gambhir’s personality and management style, claiming his aggressive approach dates back to his early cricketing days in Delhi.“I have known him personally since he was a child. I have had my issues with him. With him, it’s about my way or the highway. He is like that, and he would bully a lot, even in Delhi cricket,” Wassan said.“His nature is like that, right from the start. He came from money, an excellent player, and he is intelligent. His ego is on a different level. He thinks that if he says it’s night when it’s morning, it will be believed to be night. Fall in line. If you don’t fall in line, you are on my hit list. He will try to harm you, but he has achieved a lot in cricket, and his nature helped him in cricket,” he added.Wassan further suggested that Gambhir’s confrontational personality was a key factor behind his success as a player, but questioned whether that same attitude still works in a coaching role.“The player he became is because of his nature. He couldn’t give his best unless he fought. He probably goes and fights with the window in his home. But he hasn’t realised when to get off this horse, now that he’s retired, that’s why he is confronting Virat Kohli: over-aggressiveness and an alpha-male kind of personality from Delhi,” Wassan claimed. The former India cricketer also alleged that not everyone inside the Indian dressing room is comfortable with Gambhir’s strict approach.“I am sure that all the players cannot be in a very happy place. Somebody will be sleeping on needles. This happens, personal likes and dislikes, and that too with such a strong personality. With personal likes and dislikes, and leading them with a stick, if you keep on winning, then it’s fine. But if you lose, then you need to listen to criticism,” he said.Although Wassan hinted that some Indian players are unhappy with the current environment, he refused to reveal any names publicly.“I know one or two of them; they won’t say it openly. I can’t say their names in this show. Everyone knows what’s happening. But after sidelining those players, if you win, then it’s your world. It’s a team sport; nobody will listen to the player. If the coach wins even after all this, then the coach is right, and the player is wrong,” Wassan concluded.
Dagestani dynamo Shamil Gasanov was originally scheduled to challenge Tang Kai in April. The Russian, however, made sure he would arrive at the biggest fight of his life as the very best version of himself.
The 30-year-old fighter takes on ONE featherweight MMA world champion Tang Kai in the main event of ONE Fight Night 43 on Prime Video, broadcasting live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, May 15.
The matchup was originally penciled in for ONE Fight Night 42 in April. But the contest was pushed back to give ‘The Cobra’ the chance to fully observe Ramadan and enter the most important night of his career at full capacity.

Shamil Gasanov made the request himself. ONE Championship granted it. The result has been a fully sharpened, fully prepared challenger arriving at fight week without any compromise to his preparation or his faith.

In an exclusive pre-fight interview with ONE Championship, the Peresvet Fight Team and Tiger Muay Thai product explained the rationale behind the rescheduled date.
“This fight was originally planned for April, but I asked the promotion to give me more time to prepare since I was in Ramadan and couldn’t fully prepare for this fight. And they gave me more time, and I was able to prepare better for the fight,” Shamil Gasanov told the promotion.
Shamil Gasanov’s elite grappling could be the perfect kryptonite for Tang Kai’s striking
The stylistic divide between the two fighters could not be wider. Tang Kai has built his 19-3 resume with 15 knockouts on the back of devastating striking, and he is, without question, the most feared puncher in the featherweight MMA division.
Shamil Gasanov, though, is precisely the kind of opponent any pure striker dreads to share the Circle with.
The Russian’s wrestling base, sharpened over years in Dagestan and refined under the lights of ONE Championship, has dismantled elite striking specialists time and again — including Kim Jae Woong, Aaron Canarte, and former kingpin Martin Nguyen.
If ‘The Cobra’ can drag the ONE featherweight MMA world champion to the canvas, control top position, and chain his suffocating attacks together, Tang’s path to defending his crown becomes drastically more complicated.

Perks in Attack on Titan Revolution are an essential part of the build-crafting elements in place. These apply passive bonuses that range from simple stat increases to more involved passive abilities. Having access to the best Perks in this title can be the difference between struggling against a Titan and completely wiping it off the map.
Here’s a complete guide to Perks, going over what they do, their different types, and how to get them.
An overview of Perks in Attack on Titan Revolution
Perks apply stat bonuses and passive effects (Image via Roblox)
Perks are passive stat improvements and effects that can be slotted into your active Perk slots to reap their benefits. Their bonuses work in the background, meaning for a vast majority of the available Perks, you are unlikely to change your gameplay approach. They serve to enhance your build rather than define it.
In total, there are four types of Perks: Core, Offense, Defense, and Support. Each of these Perk types covers a certain kind of bonus; Core Perks are more specialized options that target specific builds; Offense Perks affect your damage; Defense Perks impact your damage sustainability and Health regeneration; Support Perks apply party-wide buff effects.
Additionally, Perks are segregated into five rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical. The higher the Perk rarity, the more elaborate and potent its effects, meaning you should always be aiming for the rarest options in the game.
Passive bonuses applied through Perks affect the following stats and effects:
Perks can be bought from the in-game shop (Image via Roblox)
Perks can be obtained as Mission rewards, drops from high-difficulty battles, shop purchases, and through crafting. You will naturally acquire a variety of Perks through regular gameplay as you continue to clear the content available in the game. Mission and battle clears are not efficient for getting the best Perks, as the drop rates for good options are quite low.
You can view a random selection of Perks in the in-game Market, available through Shards, Gold, and other limited-time currencies. The shop resets once every few hours, incentivizing frequently checking the Perks section of the Market.
As for Perk crafting, you can sacrifice low-tier options at the Crafting menu. The rarity of the Perks sacrificed contribute to that of the crafted Perk, meaning low-rarity Perks are unlikely to create a high-rarity Perk. In addition to Perks being the required component for crafting a Perk, you need Gold as well, the cost of which is proportional to the crafted Perk’s rarity.
Once you craft a Perk, it will be at level 0, and it can be enhanced up to level 10 using Gold, EXP, and other Perks. Leveling a Perk directly impacts its potency, improving its overall effects and making it more suitable for practical usage.

The NCAA could formalize expansion of the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments to a 76-team format as soon as Thursday, ESPN reported on Wednesday night.
The tournament fields will expand from 68 teams beginning in 2027, with NCAA calls scheduled for Thursday as the final steps in the process, ESPN reported.
The NCAA denied any final decision had been made following multiple reports in late April that plans for expansion are expected to be approved by NCAA committees and formalized as soon as this month.
“Expanding the basketball tournaments would require approval from multiple NCAA committees, including the men’s and women’s basketball committees, and no final recommendations or decisions have been made at this time,” the NCAA’s April 28 statement read.
The format change requires approval from the men’s basketball committees, the men’s and women’s basketball oversight committees, the Division I cabinet and the Division I Board of Governors.
ESPN reported on Wednesday that after expansion talks for more than a year, and contracts with the men’s tournament media partners near completion in late April, the final steps are expected to be smooth.
Multiple outlets reported last month that the NCAA plans for 52 teams to slot into the main bracket and the other 24 teams will face off in 12 games on the Tuesday and Wednesday after Selection Sunday, filling out the Round of 64 with the winners. It will no longer be called the “First Four,” with the terminology expected to be “opening round” for the play-ins and “first round” for the Round of 64.
The 12 games are expected to be in Dayton, Ohio, current site of the First Four, and a second site to be determined.
It would mark the first expansion of the tournament since the field moved from 65 to 68 teams with the addition of the First Four games in 2011. The field had previously been 64 or 65 teams since 1985.
The Big 12 and Atlantic Coast Conference were the leading voices behind tournament expansion, Yahoo Sports reported in April. NCAA president Charlie Baker has also voiced his support.
“I said all along that I think there are some very good reasons to expand the tournament,” Baker told ESPN in February. “So, I would like to see it expand.”
